Jean Josselin "Cuvée des Jean" Brut Champagne (Previously 30)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The NV Cuvée des Jean Brut is 100% Pinot Noir based on two vintages, here 2011 and 2012. This Champagne bright citrus-colored Champagne offers a lovely, precise and fresh nose with white fruit and discreet strawberry aromas. Light and very elegant on the palate, this is a very elegant, delicate and round Brut that has been disgorged in December 2015 with a dosage of 7.15 grams per liter. 2005 Perrier Jouët "Belle Epoque" Brut Rosé Champagne (Previously $270)

95 points Wine Enthusiast: "The palest of rosés, this crisp, bright and fruity wine is full of tight acidity, freshly picked raspberries and steely acidity. It could age a few more years to bring out a toastier character. (RV)" (3/2015) K&L Notes: From Perrier Jouët: "A generous and voluptuous cuvée, the complexity of the 2005 vintage reflects a year of contrasts crowned by a spectacular Indian summer. Chardonnay, Perrier-Jouët’s nominated grape of choice, is predominant in the blend while the cuvée owes its richness and pure, salmon-pink hue to the Pinot Noir variety. After nine years ageing ... Ariston Aspasie "Prestige Vieilles Vignes" Champagne

Although not labeled as vintage, this Champagne is entirely 2008, and made from the oldest plots on the estate. Curiously, Paul-Vincent thinks that old vines should never be used to make vintage dated wine, because they tell more of the story of the land than of year, with deep roots protecting the plant from the vagaries of the weather. It is composed of 50% Chardonnay, 25% Pinot Noir and 25% Meunier and has a powerful, concentrated character that goes very well with charcuterie and other rich appetizers. Wine Enthusiast: "Smoothly textured, this wine has light minerality along with a perfumed, ripe character. It is soft and generous in the mouth, poised and attractively fruity.
