A small version of our best deal in bubbles—direct from the Aristons. This all estate-grown wine is aged for an incredible five years on the lees before release, giving real depth and an honest, toasty flavor. It is composed of 40% Chardonnay, 30% Pinot Noir and 30% Meunier and is fermented in stainless steel with full malolactic. This is serious Champagne that keeps getting better every year. Aromas of freshly toasted bread and baked apples. If you have not yet tried it, you're missing out. (Gary Westby, K&L Champagne buyer)
91 points Wine Spectator: "Elegant and finely knit, this vibrant Champagne is framed by racy acidity that enlivens the flavors of ripe boysenberry, lemon zest, brioche and chopped hazelnut. Spice and chalk notes linger on the finish." (10/2015)90 points Wine Enthusiast: "Fresh and crisp, this is bright with acidity as well as warmer fruitiness. It brings out the dry Laurent-Perrier style, balanced by soft creamed apples and fragrant acidity. Light and fruity at the end..." (12/2014) Antonio Galloni: "Light gold. Aromas of ripe citrus and orchard fruits, with suggestions of green tea and honey in the background. Supple and open-k ...Read More »
93 points James Suckling: "I drink this regularly and always enjoy it. Wonderful aromas of light dough, fresh flowers, and sliced pears and peaches. Full-bodied yet agile and fresh, it shows layers of marvelous light tropical fruit and cream with hints of dough on the finish. Mostly 2011 with some reserve wines. From 47% Pinot Meunier, 30% Chardonnay and the rest Pinot Noir. Bottled April 2012." (9/2014)91 points Wine & Spirits: "This is a graceful, vinous Champagne with dramatic high notes of roses and red fruit, finishing clean with a grounding of pale earthiness. It’s a lovely prediction of what Champagne ...Read More »
Antonio Galloni: "Light gold. Fresh melon, orange and peach on the fruity nose and in the mouth. Supple and broad on the palate, showing a hint of warmth on the back half. In an easygoing style, finishig with gentle cut and good length. (JR)" (1/2015) Wine Spectator: "A firm bead and lively acidity structure this broad bubbly, with tightly knit flavors of white raspberry, candied lemon zest, pickled ginger and salted almond. Drink now through 2017." (8/2014) K&L Notes: This is a delicious little half bottle! Baron Fuente is a negociant that owns almost 90 acres of vines and purchases another 90 acres "s... Read More »
Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Green-gold. Delicate spices, honeyed apple and orange on the nose. Fine and brisk for a demi-sec, with clean, spice-tinged apple and pear flavors and medium weight. This is carrying 45 grams per liter of residual sugar but I'd never have guessed it. Finishes with good lift and length. Try this with fresh goat cheeses." (11/2006) Wine Spectator: "Smoky, with toasted coconut and brioche notes underscoring the quince paste and candied ginger flavors. Zesty acidity keeps this lively and balanced throughout and creates a lip-smacking sensation on the finish. (Web-2014)"
This little bottle of rosé is delicious! This is the first time we have had the rosé from Bonville, an estate that grows only Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs. Olivier Bonville was able to trade with Ambonnay celebrity-producer Paul Dethune for the red wine that goes into this blend of 92% Chardonnay and 8% Pinot Noir. You might wonder what such a small dash of Pinot would do besides add color, and I was skeptical myself. The results are great--this wine has the freshness and drinkability of the Brut Selection, but with great black cherry Pinot character in the... Read More »
Looking for that perfect sip in a tiny bottle, well here you are!
91 points Wine Enthusiast: "From the heartland of Chardonnay in Champagne comes this rich, creamy, apple-flavored wine. It has lively acidity, balanced with some sweetness from the dosage. It has weight and a crisp aftertaste." (12/2012)90 points Wine Spectator: "Lightly creamy, with pretty violet and smoke notes winding through the biscuit and lemon meringue flavors. This is subtle, featuring well-integrated acidity and a supple structure overall. Easy to like." (2/2010) Jancis Robinson: "100% Chardonnay from Oger, Cramant and Avize. From a 50-ha estate. Olivier Bonville is the third generation to make wine here. Super-clean f ...Read More »
92 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The NV Brut Premier is a gorgeous wine that stands head and shoulders above the vast majority of wines in its price range. Apparently, it is quite possible to make great Champagne that doesn’t cost a small fortune. Ripe pears, smoke, spices, dried flowers and herbs are some of the many nuances that emerge from the glass. The Brut Premier shows lovely mid-palate depth and fabulous overall balance. Chef de Caves Jean-Baptiste Lecaillon has done it again. This is a fabulous Brut Premier. The Brut Premier is based on the 2007 vintage, with approximately 20% ...Read More »
Great Champagne in an easy-to-open half bottle! This all-estate grown Champagne is 100% Meunier from the village of Festigny. Now named "Authentic," this is truly a reserve blend with half of the wine coming from old reserves. It is quite round, with a wonderful pie crust and spice nose, with some hints of exotic fruit in the flavor. This is medium to full bodied Champagne and makes great drinking on its own as well as being fantastic with pâtés of all sorts. (Gary Westby, K&L Champagne buyer)
This is 100% Pinot Noir from Verzenay! The Arnoulds own 27 acres in the village of Verzenay, a quite sizable holding in this high rent area.
Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Dark pink. Red berry and cherry scents are lifted by a zesty citrus pith quality. Offers juicy raspberry and cherry flavors and a touch of anise. Clings nicely on the finish, which shows good energy and a slightly bitter edge." (12/2012) K&L Notes: This round, rich rosé is a real affordable luxury. Composed of 75% Pinot Noir, 15% Meunier and 10% Chardonnay this tasty rosé gets its color from estate-grown Bouzy Rouge. Although thus far off of the radar of wine critics, I think this is the best wine from de Cazanove with its lovely strawberry color and aromas. Full ... Read More »

90 points Wine Spectator: "Lightly floral and fresh, this offers pretty notes of ripe Gala apple and glazed apricot, layered with subtle hints of almond paste, piecrust, honey and ground spice. Shows fine balance and a lively mousse, leading to a lingering finish. Drink now through 2018. Tasted twice, with consistent notes." (11/2013)89 points Connoisseurs Guide: "If never as far reaching and complex as those bottlings allowed extra time on the years, Feuilllatte's basic Brut is a complete and carefully crafted Champagne of fine balance and brightness. Its lightly yeasty elements are nicely matched by a trim bit ...Read More »
Jancis Robinson: "Cool steely lemon nose. Quite sharp and brisk and lemony. No-nonsense champagne. Definitely an appetite-whetter rather than a food wine. (TC)" (10/2013) Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Pale yellow. Lemon curd, quince, white flowers, honey and vanilla on the fragrant nose. Taut, refreshingly bitter citrus pith and toasty lees flavors give way to richer melon and peach with air, with honeysuckle and ginger notes adding complexity. A pungent, waxy note carries through the smoky expansive finish." (12/2012) Wine & Spirits: "There’s precision to the minerality of this wine, a serious streak of limestone under b ...Read More »
A nice little half bottle! This new husband and wife Champagne house is the product of two venerable Champagne families. Olivier Collard is the grandson of the great Rene Collard from the village of Reuil, one of the most respected and venerable recoltant-manipulants in all of Champagne. His wife, Delphine Picard, is the cousin of Chantal Gonet of Champagne Phillipe Gonet in Mesnil. Their heritage gives them access to some of the best fruit in the entire Champagne region. Olivier's vineyards are in the western Valley of the Marne, were the Meunier is kin... Read More »
90 points Wine Spectator: "A lively sparkling rosé, with a bright, citrusy overtone to fruit-forward flavors of strawberry puree and black raspberry, showing accents of biscuit, walnut skin and gumdrop. Drink now through 2016." (11/2013) Connoisseurs Guide: "More overt in its fruit than the typical French bottling and a bit closer to the California model, Feuillatte's Rosé tilts top cherries and plums with a suggestion of juiciness beneath its very proper yeast veneer. It is more crisp than creamy, and it is enlivened by a strong but refined mousse, and, while it is crafted in a more obvious style than ...Read More »
91 points Antonio Galloni: "(100% Pinot Noir; 9 g/l dosage; disgorged on November 7, 2013): Bright yellow. Mineral-accented redcurrant and blood orange scents are complicated by smoky minerals and dried rose. Chewy and tightly focused, offering bitter citrus pith and red berry flavors and a touch of toasted brioche. Shows very good clarity and lift on the taut, energetic finish, leaving smoky mineral and floral notes behind. (JR)" (1/2015)90 points Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A relatively deeply pitched nose that is heavy on the yeast with light notes of strawberry and raspberry and introduces rich, full and complex fla ...Read More »
