2014 Concannon Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon

2014 Foxglove Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Coming all from Paso Robles, the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon (100% Cabernet aged in stainless steel) is a forward, charming wine that has lots of upfront jammy blackberry, savory herbs, licorice and a hint of graphite to go with a medium-bodied, supple, nicely focused feel on the palate. There's a solid kick of tannin on the finish, so pair this with some fatty meat over the coming couple of years. From the Winery: "The 2015 vintage comes exclusively from Block 41 at Margarita Vineyard, where the vines occupy rocky alluvial soils that vary in density, elevation and exposure. 2015 Tablas Creek "Côtes de Tablas Blanc" Paso Robles White Rhône Blend

91 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2015 Cote de Tablas Blanc, which includes less Viognier than normal, checks in as an even split of Viognier, Grenache Blanc, Roussanne and Marsanne. It's a perfumed, elegant and textured white that offers lots of citrus and saltiness as well as more background notes of chamomile, flowers and spice. It will shine on the dinner table, and while I'd lean toward drinking bottles over the coming couple of years, it will evolve for longer. (JD)" (8/2016) 91 points Vinous: "Light bright yellow. Unquestionably racy and overt, the 2013 offers striking depth and intensity, with a slightly roasted, sweet quality to the fruit. Sweet tobacco, cedar and dried herbs add closing shades of nuance, but the 2013 remains quite opulent in style. Still, all the elements are in the right place. The 2013 could use a few years to soften. It will be appreciated most by readers who enjoy intense, super-ripe Zinfandels. (AG)" (7/2015) K&L Notes: The Benito Dusi Ranch in Paso Robles ... 92 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2014 Milk & Honey checks in as an interesting blend of 30% Tempranillo, 24% Cabernet Sauvignon, 24% Syrah and the rest Grenache, Mourvedre and Petit Verdot. It offers lots of sweet black currant fruit, cedar, toasted bread, leather and dried herbs in a savory, forward and nicely textured style. There's a firm edge to the tannin (no doubt from the Tempranillo), so give it a year, and drink bottles over the following 5-6. 2014 L'Aventure "Côte a Côte Estate" Paso Robles Rhône Blend

96 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Looking at the 2014s, these are serious wines that are reminiscent of Stephan's sensational 2012s (which were some of the top rated wines in the vintage). 2010 Saxum "Heart Stone Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Saxum "Heart Stone Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (95RP, 95VN, 94ST, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "More dense and rich, the 2010 Heart Stone Vineyard is a co-fermented blend of 51% Syrah and 49% Grenache that comes from a small 7-acre, south-facing vineyard located on the western side of Paso Robles. Aged mostly in large oak puncheons for 20-28 months, it offers up a savory, complex bouquet of kirsch and blackberry-like fruit, meat juice, Provencal herbs, dried licorice, and dusty minerality. Gorgeous on the palate as well, with a deft, elegant texture, building richness, and layers of chewy tannin, this beauty is reasonably approachable now, yet will be even better in 2-3 years. It will drink well for 12-15 years. (JD)" (07/2014)
