2007 Ketcham Estate Russian River Valley Pinot Noir

2007 Keever Yountville Cabernet Sauvignon

92 points Wine Spectator: "Intense yet elegant and stylish, this is a wine of subtlety and finesse, with a layered mix of cedary currant, spice and anise flavors that unfold gracefully, with a pleasing, lingering aftertaste. Drink now through 2018." (6/2010) 91 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon (650 cases; 100% Cabernet Sauvignon) is more supple, open-knit and flamboyant, revealing notes of espresso roast, chocolate, sweet red and black currants and loamy soil. This beautifully textured, opulent, showy Cabernet should drink well for 10-15 years. The high quality of the 2007 and 2008 vintages ...Read More »

2007 Araujo "Altagracia" Estate Napa Valley Red

91 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "(like the flagship wine, this was also bottled in February of 2010) Good ruby-red. Redcurrant, minerals and spices on the lively nose. Juicy and nicely delineated, with good lift and mineral grip to the currant, graphite and tobacco flavors. Very firmly built and persistent wine with a light gamey quality adding interest." (6/2010) 90 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2007 Altagracia (primarily Cabernet Sauvignon with small amounts of Merlot and Petit Verdot) is a 400-500-case second wine culled out from the 30+ acre vineyard. 2007 Kosta Browne Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir

94 points Wine Spectator: "Very complex, intense and spicy, delivering intense, persistent and rich dried berry flavors. (JL, Web-2012)" 91 points Connoisseurs Guide: "*One Star* Ripe and rich, very nicely concentrated, focused on black cherry fruit with touches of dried violets, cinnamon-like spice and quiet hints of dark chocolate, this very delicious wine feels just a bit on the blocky, slightly tough side at present but has the depth and beauty to insure that it gets better and better over time. 2007 Saxum "Bone Rock - James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Syrah

99 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2007 Bone Rock, which comes from the James Berry Vineyard (82% Syrah, 13% Mourvedre, and the rest Grenache, also aged 28 months in a combination of smaller barrels, demi-muids, and pungeons), is super as well. Like its late-released sibling, it has an inky/purple color to the rim and an extraordinary, soaring set of aromatics consisting of spring flowers, pepper, graphite, blackberry and blueberry fruit with hints of raspberry and licorice and jus de viande as well. The extraordinary freshness and elegance of this wine leads to a minerality that even ...Read More »

His impressive resume includes positions with Michel Chapoutier and Gerard Chave as well as a short stint as a journalist for The Wine Spectator. 2007 Copain "Kiser En Haut" Anderson Valley Pinot Noir

93 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Deep red. Powerful aromas of red berries and cherry skin are complicated by anise and dried rose nuances. Nervy raspberry and bitter cherry flavors show impressive depth, with silky tannins giving shape to the wine. A tangy note of blood orange comes up with air and carries through the long, impressively energetic finish. Guthrie told me that the pH is 3.28, which is extremely low for a New World Pinot and similar to some of the most energetic versions from New Zealand." Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of the perfect wines from Shafer is the 2007 Shafer Cabernet Sauvignon Hillside Select. Think it over – in the first decade of the 21st century, Shafer scored three perfect scores and two 99s – that’s about as high a praise as I can give any producer in the world. Opaque purple in color, the 2007 has a stunning nose of sweet crème de cassis, black cherries, licorice, and toasty oak, a multilayered, full-throttle personality, and a texture that builds and builds. Great purity, fabulous fruit intensity and a richness without heaviness characterize this massive, prodigious effort from Shafer. It’s still very young, despite this vintage, which seems to be maturing precociously. I don’t believe this wine will hit its stride for at least another 5-10 years and drink well for at least 2-3 decades. (RP) " (12/20

(6/2009) 92 points Connoisseurs Guide: "This precise, very well-focused youngster exhibits a wealth of juicy, cherry-like fruit and is at the same time marked by a fine sense of vitality. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The sensational 2007 Proprietary Red Wine (a 7,000-case blend of 82% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, and Malbec) is slightly more restrained aromatically than the Merlot, but there is no doubting its extraordinary bouquet of subtle smoked meats, oak, mountain wild flowers, blueberries, blackberries, coffee, and cassis. Super-rich and full-bodied with noticeable, but stunningly sweet tannins, it possesses a rare minerality and definition, characteristics that seem to be found across the board in Napa’s 2007s. This Cabernet Sauvignon is a blend of Morisoli Vineyard in Rutherford, Herb Lamb Vineyard, just off Howell Mountain, and Beckstoffer-To Kalon Vineyard in Oakville. It is the unique blending of these three different vineyards and Napa Valley appellations, that elevates and defines the style of Karl Lawrence Cabernet Sauvignon, and makes it among the top Cabs for complexity and length. An insiders wine. Drink now or cellar for 10 years.

2007 Carlisle Dry Creek Valley Syrah

92 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Inky ruby. Pure, perfumed bouquet of red berry preserves, Asian spices and smoky minerals. Juicy, finely etched red and dark berry flavors possess impressive depth but carry no excess weight and betray no rough edges. The finish is strikingly bright and focused, with strong echoes of raspberry and minerals. There's a compelling Pinot-like elegance and clarity to this wine. (ST)" (6/2009) K&L Notes: According to Robert Parker: "Mike Officer is quickly rising to the top of the qualitative pyramid when it comes to Zinfandel, and, more recently, Petite Sirah and Syrah. 2007 Sine Qua Non "Labels" California Syrah
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2007 Sine Qua Non "Labels" California Syrah (98RP, 94ST, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The recently released 2007 Syrah Labels (89% Syrah, 7% Grenache, and 4% Viognier) comes from the 11 Confessions Estate Vineyard (57%), a small amount from the home estate vineyard in Oak View called Cumulus, and the rest from purchased fruit grown in the White Hawk Vineyard in Los Alamos and the Bien Nacido Vineyard in Santa Maria. A sensational effort, it is performing even better out of bottle than it did from barrel. An opaque purple color is accompanied by beautiful notes of charcoal, acacia flowers, blueberries, blackberries, graphite, and subtle smoke. With great fruit, tremendous texture, and full-bodied power, it is locked and loaded. This cuvee should provide great drinking in addition to some provocative discussions over the next 10-15 years. 2007 Harlan Estate Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this bottle of 2007 Harlan Estate Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (100RP, 97JS, 97ST, 96WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The prodigious 2007 Harlan Estate reminds me of a hypothetical blend of the 2002 with a touch of the controversial 1997. Dense plum/purple-colored with sweet aromas of barbecue smoke, blueberries, blackberries, cassis, licorice, hot rocks and subtle oak, it is a splendidly opulent, pure wine with a skyscraper-like texture as well as stunningly deep fruit that expands gracefully across the palate. The finish lasts nearly a full minute. Because of its overwhelming richness and sweet tannins, this brilliant wine seems to be approachable now, but I suspect further nuances and complexity will emerge after 4-5 years in the bottle. This wine will still be going strong at age 25-30. Like the offerings from its sister estate, Bond, these Harlan Estate offerings are uncompromisingly brilliant examples of Napa viticulture and winemaking at its finest. Kudos to proprietor

2007 Rhys "Family Farm Vineyard" San Mateo County Pinot Noir

90-93 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Under the flagship Rhys moniker, the Rhys 2007 Pinot Noir Family Farm Vineyard looks to be a brilliant Pinot Noir from clay/loamy soils and sandstone. This Pinot exhibits intense red cherry and black raspberry fruit intermixed with some damp earth and forest floor notes. The wine is medium to full-bodied, elegant, pure, and just hinting at its ultimate potential. Backward, with an attractive acid profile, and sweet, noble tannin, this wine should hit its peak in about 3 years and last for at least a decade. 2007 Auteur "Sonoma Stage Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir

91 points Wine Spectator: "Impressive for its finesse and subtle nuances. Floral, lavender and savory dried berry flavors give this a complex aroma, turning more austere and tight on the palate, yet fanning out on the finish. Drink now through 2016. 247 cases made." (2/2010)

2007 Araujo "Eisele Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2007 Araujo "Eisele Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98JS, 98WE, 95ST, 93RP). Wine Enthusiast: "Profoundly beautiful aroma on this Cab, a perfect union of oaky char and vanilla with ripe blackberries and cassis. Hard to exaggerate the beauty. Powerful, yet never pushy, with classic Napa balance. Rich, sweet, almost meaty, with massive tannins that are refined and smooth. Very great density and weight. Really defines the vineyard, and should age effortlessly for 20 years." (06/2011)
