2007 Drinkward Peschon "Entre Deux Mères" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

91 points James Suckling: "This smells very Bordeaux with cassis bush, fresh herbs, and hints of oak with some earthiness too. Full bodied, with round and velvety tannins and a fruity finish. A little hollow in the mid-palate and jammy but I like it." (2/2011) K&L Notes: Entre-deux-mers, meaning "between two seas," is one of the largest appellations in the Bordeaux region and is situated between the Garonne and the Dordogne rivers. Drinkward Peschon's "Entre Deux Mères," meaning "between two mothers" is a play on the Bordeaux appellation's name. Drinkward Peschon is located in the St. Helena A... Read More »

2007 Spottswoode "Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2007 Spottswoode "Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (99RP, 98JS, 95WS, 94ST, 94VN, 94W&S). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "In 2007, there was another small crop with only 1,700+ cases produced, from a blend of 97% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Cabernet Franc. An absolutely staggering nose of blueberries, white flowers, crème de cassis, licorice and graphite is followed by a full-bodied, opulent, multidimensional wine that is seamless. Incredible fruit intensity, purity and depth of character make this one of the great, great classics in the Spottswoode lineup. This wine can be approached now, but it is nowhere near full maturity, and should evolve for at least another 30-40+ years. Owners of this vintage have liquid gold in their cellars. (RP)" (08/2016)

2007 August West "Graham Family Vineyard" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir

92 points Wine & Spirits: "A mouthwatering pinot noir with layers of richness, this grows on Gold Ridge soils in Green Valley, where the vines were planted in 2001. Its flavors of red cherry and rose meld with the smoke and hazelnut scents of oak, while the lasting impression is tight and spicy. Give this a year or two to evolve, then serve with grilled quail." (10/2009) 90 points Wine Spectator: "Rich and full-bodied, intense and spicy, with blackberry and wild berry fruit at the core. Supple and focused, ending on a delicate berry jam note. 2007 Vineyard 29 "29 Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

98 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The flagship wine, the 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Vineyard 29 Estate, is an extraordinary effort. Performing even better than it did last year from barrel, this 100% Cabernet Sauvignon spent 20 months in French oak barrels (90% new). The nose reveals notes of graphite, ink, cassis, and flowers. Superbly concentrated with impeccable purity and balance, this full-bodied wine is one of both power and elegance. If I didn’t know better, I would guess it was from Stags Leap rather than the west side north of St. Helena ... it’s that refined and gracious. The stun ...Read More »

2007 Roy Estate Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

94 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "There are usually 300-350 cases of the Cabernet Sauvignon cuvee. The 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon along with the 2007 Proprietary Red are the finest wines I have yet tasted from Roy Estate. A beautiful nose of charcoal, creme de cassis, black currants, licorice and underbrush is followed by a deep, full-bodied, powerful wine with lots of texture, silky tannins and impressive density, as well as length. This wine has enough tannin to suggest 3-4 years of cellaring is required. It should age well for 25+ years. (RP)" (12/2010) 90 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Bright full ruby. 2007 Justin "Isosceles Reserve" Paso Robles Bordeaux Blend

94 points Wine Enthusiast: "A tremendous wine that easily held its own against Napa Cabs and blends, and a worthy followup to the wonderful 2006. Mainly Cabernet Sauvignon, with small amounts of Cabernet Franc and Merlot, the wine is extraordinarily rich and balanced and refined, showing Paso softness, but no absence of complexity. Really impresses for the depth and range of berries, currants, licorice, mocha, herbs, spices and oak." (12/2010) 90 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Inky ruby. 2007 Saxum "Heart Stone Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend

98 points Jeb Dunnuck: "The lightest and most vibrant of the ‘07s, the 2007 Saxum Heart Stone Vineyard is a blend of 65% Syrah, 21% Grenache, and 14% Mourvedre, from limestone soils, which saw close to 30% whole cluster and spent 26 months in oak. The Grenache really shows and the wine exhibits exceptional aromatics of spiced red fruits, underbrush, flowers, and graphite on the nose. This develops beautifully in the glass and shows awesome purity and precision. 2007 Rhys Alesia "Falstaff Road Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir

93 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Deep, bright red. Ripe red berry and cherry aromas are complicated by blood orange and fresh flowers. Fleshy, palate-coating red fruit flavors deliver solid punch and pick up a sexy Indian spice character with air. The finish repeats the deep cherry note and leaves dusty mineral and floral traces in its expansive wake. I'd resist opening this one for at least another three years. It also displays that slight greenish hue (that comes from chlorophyll) to its straw color, fabulous fruit, unbelievable texture, and a 40+ second finish. (RP)" (2/2010) 93 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Good bright medium yellow. Pure but subdued nose shows more spices and saline earth tones than fruit today. This full-bodied, classic Insignia reveals fabulous depth, ripeness, texture, viscosity and richness. Still young and unformed, it should evolve for 25 or more years. (ST)" (5/2009) 90 points Connoisseurs Guide: "First, let us say that this is a very good Pinot Noir by any standard, and it shows fine concentration if a little less succu ...Read More »

Of the 2005 Bond "Matriarch" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend,Wine Enthusiast writes: "This year’s Matriarch is very similar to Harlan Estate in structure, and in some ways, a superior wine, or at least more delicious now. Shows the most beautiful black currant, cedar, blueberry pie and Asian spice flavors. What makes the structure so gorgeous are the firm tannins. Ultimately, it’s a refined, exquisite red wine. Hard to imagine a better one for drinking over the next decade, and just shows that price sometimes has no relationship to quality." (05/2009)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The prodigious 2007 Materium exhibits an even more opaque purple color, and ratchets up the level of intensity and aromatic complexity. Blackberry, black raspberry, blueberry, and cassis aromas intermixed with notes of crushed rocks, spring flowers, and toasty new oak are found in this beauty. Outstanding intensity along with full-bodied power and beautifully integrated acids, tannins, alcohol, and wood suggest this 2007 should hit its peak in 5-7 years, and evolve for three decades or more. Give it 4-6 years to soften, and let the black cherries, red currants and cola mesh with the oak and transform with the magic of bottle age." (12/2009)

2007 Williams Selyem "Vista Verde" San Benito County Pinot Noir

95 points Wine Enthusiast: "The winery’s best Vista Verde ever. Terrific in crisp acidity and finely meshed tannins that frame ripe, rich flavors of cherry pulp, root beer, anise and oak that finish long and impressively delicious. Complex and compelling now, and will develop in the bottle over the next 6-8 years. *Cellar Selection*" (2/2010) 92 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Medium red. 2007 Gallica Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon Back In Stock!
2007 Gallica Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

99 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "And speaking of flowery wines, the 2007 Gallica (96% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot) is a tiny production from a vineyard slightly above the Dalla Valle Vineyard in Oakville. Blended with 45% fruit from further south in the cooler area of Coombsville, as well as a small amount from a St. Helena vineyard. The wine was aged 21 months in two-thirds new French oak and bottled without filtration. Outrageously seamless in its opulence, this fragrant, dense purple Cabernet Sauvignon boasts a glorious nose of blueberries, black c ...Read More »

2007 Opus One Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum of 2007 Opus One Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (1.5L) (96VN, 95RP, 94WS, 93JS, 93ST). Vinous: "There is so much to like about the 2007 Opus One. A wine that captures the essence of the year, the 2007 is exotic, flashy and striking. Kirsch, rose petals, pomegranates and spices form a fabric of compelling beauty. The 2007 is rich, sumptuous and generous, just as it should be. Threads of striking perfume are woven throughout, adding aromatic lift and pure sensuality. Readers who like more structured wines are likely to gravitate towards vintages such as 2010, but years like 2007 offer immense pleasure and an immediacy I find impossible to resist. A sumptuous, layered finish rounds things out in stunning style. The blend is 79% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Franc, 6% Petit Verdot and 1% Malbec. (AG)" (06/2013)
