Of the 2011 Sine Qua Non "Patine - Eleven Confessions Vineyard" Santa Rita Hills Syrah,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "A wine that needs to be forgotten in the cellar for 5-6 years, the 2011 Syrah Patine checks in as a blend of roughly 97% Syrah and the balance Roussanne and Viognier. It too comes all from the estate's Eleven Confessions Vineyard and saw 39 months in 63% new French oak. 2011 Retro Cellars Howell Mountain Petite Sirah

93 points James Suckling: "Aromatic with rose petal, spice, and green peppercorns. Gun powder. Subtle. Full to medium body, fine tannins and a fresh and citrusy aftertaste. Dunn family of Napa cabernet fame makes a very cool red here. About 500 cases made. Drink now." (6/2016) 93 points Vinous: "The 2011 Petite Sirah Howell Mountain offers notable intensity, with plenty of blue/blackish fruit, lavender, mint, violet and sage overtones. Refined and super-expressive, the 2011 is an absolute joy to taste today. All the elements are very nicely balanced in a surprisingly tamed Petite that will drink well ...Read More »

2011 Epoch "Estate Blend--Paderewski Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend

91 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Looking at the 2011s from bottle, and always a rock-solid bottle of wine and a great entry into the style here, the 2011 Estate Blend offers up plenty of ripe plum, licorice, crushed flowers and violet-like nuances as well as a medium to full-bodied, balanced profile in the mouth. Showing the cooler vintage with its overall freshness and focus, it’s beautifully done and should drink nicely for 3-5 years, Drink now-2018. 2011 Rochioli Russian River Valley Sauvignon Blanc

92 points Wine Enthusiast: "Fine acidity and a lick of steel give this Sauvignon Blanc a gravity above and beyond the savory flavors of citrus, green apple, lemongrass and honey. With its elegance, this should pair well with roast chicken." (9/2012) 91 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Pale yellow. High-pitched aromas of lemon zest, green apple, jasmine and iodine, with a hint of white pepper coming up with air. Dry and precise sauvignon, offering solid punch to its intense citrus and floral flavors. Powerful but weightless wine with excellent finishing clarity and length. 2011 Schrader "Beckstoffer Las Piedras - LPV" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

93 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Schrader’s newest offering is the 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard LPV, which comes from clone 337 of the Las Piedras site. This is a west side valley floor vineyard with a foundation of alluvial river pebbles and rocks as well as gravelly loam. The Schraders have a long-term lease on 5 acres, which, added to their 16 acres of Beckstoffer To Kalon and 5 acres of Beckstoffer George III, gives them some pretty serious leases on some of the finest terroirs in Napa Valley. 2011 Schrader "Beckstoffer To Kalon - RBS" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

93 points Vinous: "Schrader's 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon RBS Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard is pure silk on the palate. The aromas, flavors and textures are incredibly refined and lifted. A soft, seamless wine that stands out for its gorgeous balance, the 2011 is showing beautifully today. Freshly cut flowers, mint and red berries all flow through to the impeccably refined finish. It is fascinating to taste the RBS next to Las Piedras. Both wines are Clone 337 Cabernet Sauvignon, but here we are in To Kalon, where the flavors seem to have a little more definition. 2011 Opus One Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (1.5L) (Previously $820)

94 points Vinous: "The 2011 Opus One comes across as quite powerful and intense. Raspberry jam, rose petals, savory herbs and mint, all come together beautifully in the glass. The tannins are going to need a few years to soften, but the 2011 continues to develop very nicely in bottle. This is a very strong showing, especially within the context of the year. The 2011 is dark and even a bit rough round the edges, particularly when tasted alongside the surrounding vintages. The lithe, mid-weight, savory style is at times more Old World than New, yet all the elements are in th ...Read More »

2011 Lillian "Gold Series #1" California Syrah (Previously $115)

From the producer: "Almost every year, when we sit down at the blending table to taste through each of the barrels, we see wines that seem so tightly coiled in their barrels that I am compelled to allow them to rest and evolve for an additional year in barrel and to produce a small cuvee from these wines. This has been the case since my very first vintage and every subsequent vintage save 2010. These used to be bottled in the nameless blue/not blue label that only served to confuse everyone. That was not, in any way, my intention. These wines have now b... Read More »

2011 Brewer-Clifton "Mt. Carmel Vineyard" Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir

95 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2011 Pinot Noir Mount Carmel is a spectacular effort that delivers beautiful raspberry, strawberry, sappy underbrush, sea breeze and spice to go with a medium-bodied, rich and elegant palate. Knockout stuff that’s perfectly balanced and rich, without ever losing any focus or precision, it will evolve for 4-5 years and drink nicely through 2026. 2011 Chateau Montelena "Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

92 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "(30% new oak): Bright ruby-red. Captivating, high-pitched aromas of cassis, licorice pastille, bitter chocolate, violet, rose petal and mocha. Juicy and tightly wound, with fresh acidity energizing the middle palate but keeping the wine's dark berry flavors restrained today. There's a lightly peppery quality that gives away the vintage, but this highly aromatic wine is a big success for the year and very well made. Finishes long, on a faintly medicinal note, with sweet harmonious tannins and lingering spiciness. (ST)" (5/2013) 91 points Vinous: "The 2011 Pinot Noir Family Farm Vineyard is one of the wilder wines in this range of 2011 Pinots. 2011 Enkidu "Humbaba" North Coast Rhône Blend

A blend of 68% Syrah and 30% Petite Syrah with a splash of Alicante. From the producer: "The 2011 Humbabas shows its typical sweet root earthiness as in other vintages, which combine with candied cherries, toast and a little meatiness. While the texture is warm and luxurious, there is a nice backbone grip of tannin to hang the flavors on to a long finish. This Humbaba, like our previous vintages, continues to develop considerable complexity as it ages."

Plum, black cherry, menthol, tobacco and licorice meld together gracefully as the 2011 opens up in the glass. The combination of fruit and structure is compelling. 91 points Connoisseurs Guide: "*Two Stars* We have found it not all that uncommon for a Pinot producer's appellation bottlings to equal or even surpass some of its single-vineyard examples, and this very deep and carefully constructed effort gives its pricier partners a good run for their money. It is long on ripe-cherry fruit and accented with bright, raspberry-like notes, and it is perked up by neatly placed acidity from first sip to finish. 2011 Williams Selyem "Ferrington Vineyard" Anderson Valley Pinot Noir

Its keen, red-cherry aromas show subtle shadings of minerals and lavender and a light kiss of oak, and its continuous, light-on-their-feet flavors follow suit. It is so incisively fruity and beautifully balanced that we worry a bit that too many bottles will be drunk up too soon, for as good as it is now, it will only get better with age, and we can see it evolving for many years." A deep, almost inky red, the Cerise shows the more animal side of Pinot in its game, tar, smoke, black pepper, licorice and black cherries. This is also one of the most powerful wines of the 2011s, but at the same time I find less elegance than in some of the other offerings. Blackberry jam, cassis, new leather, smoke and incense all flow through to a deep, resonant finish. 2011 Far Niente Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon

92 points James Suckling: "Rich dark berry fruits with plenty of swagger; this has bundles of sweet fruit flavor on the palate with plenty of deep and convincingly rich fruit flesh and bold presence. The tannins are nicely wrapped into play, folds well and builds nicely. More herbal, sappy and greener style here. (NS)" (1/2015) K&L Notes: The 2011 vintage offered challenging situations, as well as unique opportunities, for wineries that had the right stuff. As the 2011 Cabernet Sauvignons are released, many are turning out to be quite classically styled. Far Niente Cabernet Sauvignon is based ... Read More »

2011 Williams Selyem "Westside Road Neighbors" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir

93 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Deep ruby. Powerful, seductively perfumed aromas of red and dark berry preserves, Asian spices and potpourri, with cola and vanilla nuances adding complexity. Stains the palate with vibrant black raspberry and cherry-cola flavors and picks up a smoky nuance with air. Shows impressive vivacity on the finish, which features silky tannins and a touch of candied rose." (6/2013) 91 points Wine & Spirits: "Bob Cabral blends this using fruit from Williams Selyem’s estate and neighboring vineyards along Westside Road, including Allen, Bacigalupi, Bucher and Rochioli Riverblock. It’s a ri ...Read More »

2011 Robert Craig Mount Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon

92 points Vinous: "Exotic, layered and structured, the 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon Mt. Veeder is wonderfully complete and expressive. Sweet tobacco, cedar, incense, grilled herbs, new leather and red plums are just some of the many notes that emerge from the glass. Veins of underlying minerality and firm mountain tannins provide the backbone for this serious beautiful, expressive Cabernet Sauvignon. Ferrous notes reappear on the finish, adding distinction and complexity. Readers will have to give the 2011 at least a few years in bottle, even if the wine is already pretty strik ...Read More »

Domaine de la Côte is a collection of 6 vineyards planted over 40 acres on a 25 million year old siliceous (silex) seabed at the furthest western side of the Santa Rita Hills appellation. The vineyards, with vine densities between 4,000 - 7,000 vines/acre, are entirely organically farmed. Originally part of the Evening Land program, the vineyards were purchased by Raj Parr and Sashi Moorman, along with their financial partners, at the beginning of 2013. Chris King was reinstated as the vineyard manager immediately after the purchase from Evening Land was... Read More »

2011 Williams Selyem Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir

91 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Dark ruby. Showing a more brooding personality than the Sonoma County bottling, offering aromas and flavors of blackberry and bitter cherry and a hint of candied licorice. Plump and velvety in texture, with strong finishing punch and lingering smokiness. (ST)" (6/2013) Connoisseurs Guide: "Another in the extensive line of very good Pinot Noirs from this brilliant producer of widely admired bottlings, it drifts a bit into the realm of candied cherries with a whiff of raspberry finding its way into the mid-volume aromas. Medium-full-weighted and on the supple side in feel, its f ...Read More »

2011 Kistler "Durell" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay

93 points Vinous: "Bright lemon, tangerine, white flowers and orange peel jump from the glass in the 2011 Chardonnay Durell Vineyard. An open, beautifully resonant wine, the 2011 is firing on all cylinders today. I especially like the suppleness here. (AG)" (2/2014) 92 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "From one of this site’s best parcels, the medium to full-bodied 2011 Chardonnay Durell Vineyard offers hints of brioche, white citrus, tangerine oil, honeyed grapefruit and white peach, lots of flesh and an attractive finish. Drink it over the next 3-4 years. There has been a progressive trend by Kistler’s winem ...Read More »

2011 Rudius Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

From the winery: "In 2011 our Tierra Roja Vineyard in Oakville and our Panek Vineyard in St Helena combined to produce an expansive yet sophisticated blend that is unmistakably Rudius. This is the only Cabernet we produced from the 2011 vintage, and is a best barrel selection from our two favorite vineyards. Everything you loved about our 2008 Napa Valley Cabernet can be found in this wine with a few extra surprises. The aromatics have a similar character to our Cabernets from earlier years with dark blackberry and warm baking spice notes, but you will a... Read More »

2011 Lucia "Susan's Hill Vineyard" Santa Lucia Highlands Syrah

95 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "My favorite of the Syrahs and the most voluptuous and supple, yet with solid mid-palate depth and structure, the 2011 Syrah Susan's Hill comes from a small block of windswept vines located high up on the Pisoni Vineyard. Loaded with minerality, chalk, wild herbs and decadent blackberry fruit, this seamless Syrah will dish out loads of pleasure over the coming 7-8 years. Drink now-2021." (8/2013) 92 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Opaque ruby. A heady, spicy bouquet evokes cassis, blueberry, vanilla and mocha, with a violet accent that builds with air. Lush and seamless in the mouth, offer ...Read More »

2011 Sine Qua Non "Dark Blossom" Grenache
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2011 Sine Qua Non "Dark Blossom" Grenache (97RP, 97VN, (93-95ST)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2011 Grenache Dark Blossom is probably the best Grenache-based blend in the vintage. A blend of 75% Grenache, 12.5% Syrah, 11.5% Mourvedre and a splash of Roussanne (fermented with 11% whole clusters), it has a perfumed, complex style, with notions of black raspberry, cassis, dried flowers, white pepper and licorice giving way to a full-bodied, layered and seamless mouthfeel. There’s no shortage of fruit here, and while it’s hard to resist now, it has enough tannin to warrant short-term cellaring. It should knock it out of the park through 2029. (JD)" (08/2014)
