2009 Harlan Estate Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (OWC)
Bid on this bottle of 2009 Harlan Estate Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (OWC - 97RP, 97ST, 96WS) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Proprietary Blend Harlan Estate is just as impressive from bottle as it was from barrel. Cloves, dark plums, cherries, smoke and graphite add richness and resonance to this powerful, incisive wine. Juicy and exuberant, the 2009 has always had a certain raciness that is impossible to resist. Layers of fruit continue to build to the enveloping, sensual finish. Readers will have a hard time keeping their hands off this hugely delicious wine. Anticipated maturity: 2019-2034. " (12/2012)

Of the 2012 Kongsgaard "The Judge" Napa Valley Chardonnay,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "Also amazing, the 2012 Chardonnay The Judge offers impressive aromas of tangerines, orange marmalade, wet rocks, quince, spring flowers and honeysuckle. Impressively full-bodied and majestic with terrific acidity, it is a tour de force in Chardonnay. Furthermore, it is about as “natural” as possible. Thankfully, Kongsgaard is not one to deal in the quintessential B.S. that now seems so prevalent. Drink now through 2025." (10/2014)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Another perfect wine is Bevan’s equal part blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc, the 2012 Proprietary Red Sugarloaf Mountain. Notes of unsmoked cigar tobacco, forest floor, pen ink mulberries, blackberries and spring flowers soar from this inky/purple-colored 2012. The wine possesses great intensity, remarkable unctuosity and thickness, and perfect integration of acidity, alcohol, tannin and wood. 1985 Chateau Montelena "Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 1985 Chateau Montelena "Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (93ST, 92RP). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Deep ruby-red; barely a sign of development. Floral, cedary aromas of crystallized berries (raspberry, cassis, mulberry) and graphite; extremely youthful. Thick, large-scaled and very strong in extract; layered and deep. Strong but harmonious acidity gives the wine a vibrant character. Conveys a sense of totally expressed soil. Finishes with substantial ripe tannins and superb sweetness. From a rather low-alcohol year with high natural acidity and lower-than-average yield. 93+ (ST)" (07/1998)

2007 Marcassin "Marcassin Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2007 Marcassin "Marcassin Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (98RP, 96WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: " I had always believed the 2007 Pinot Noir was the finest Helen Turley and John Wetlaufer had produced at their Estate Vineyard, but after doing this vertical and seeing the performances of the 1998, 2002 and 2004, that belief rings somewhat hollow. The still young, incredible 2007 has all the potential needed to achieve a three-digit rating in a few years. A dense plum/purple color is followed by notes of subtle smoke, barbecue spice, blueberries, red and black currants, flowers, and a smoky meat-like character that I first compared to the aroma of Peking duck. There is something exotic about this full-bodied, dense 2007. Young and vibrant, it should hit its peak in 5-6 years, and last until 2030-2035. This world-class, prodigious Pinot Noir is probably better than 90% of the red Burgundies being produced. 98+ (RP)" (06/2014)

Of the 2007 Pride Mountain "Reserve" Napa/Sonoma Counties Cabernet Sauvignon,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve is a slightly more brooding and formidably endowed effort displaying more extract, tannin and structure. In spite of its massive size, concentration and extract, it possesses gorgeously sweet tannins as well as a sense of equilibrium. (RP)" (12/2010)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Scarecrow Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC - 98RP, 96AG, (93-96ST)) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The classic 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon included fruit from the 2-acre, old vine parcel that is nearly 70 years of age. It boasts an opaque purple color as well as copious notes of spring flowers, blackberries, black raspberries and wet rocks. The wine’s gravelly minerality and spectacular opulence and density make it an instant classic. This massive, full-bodied 2012 should drink beautifully for 15-20+ years. It showed incredibly well last year, and it still reveals the potential to possibly merit a 3-digit score – it’s that special. (RP)" (10/2014)

Of the 2009 Ovid Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The 2009 Ovid is stunningly beautiful. At times it shows a little more depth, power and richness than the Hexameter, but both wines are compelling. Endless layers of fruit saturate the palate as this rich, intense wine conquers the heart and intellect. A totally vivid wine, the 2009 is even more impressive from bottle than it was from barrel. Over the time I followed it, the 2009 gained finesse and elegance in the glass, which bodes quite well for the future. Intense graphite, crushed rocks and pencil shaving nuances add energy to the polished, huge finish. 98+ points. (AG)" (12/

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2001 Hundred Acre "Kayli Morgan" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC - 98RP, 94ST, 93WS) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Having performed spectacularly well last year in the retrospective of ten-year old Napa Cabernets, this 2001 remains incredibly young, with all of its potential waiting to burst forth. Its dense purple color is followed by notes of mulberries, creme de cassis, blackberries, licorice, graphite and subtle smoke. The wine reveals fabulous fruit along with full-bodied power and a seamless integration of acidity, tannin, alcohol and wood. Of the 2004 Bond "Pluribus" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "Perhaps the wine that jumped the most in score from when I first tasted these wines out of bottle in 2008, is the 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon Pluribus. Rated 94 back in 2008, it’s now a solid 98 and knocking on the door of perfection. This wine comes from a Spring Mountain vineyard northwest of the charming town of St. Helena. Of the 2006 Sine Qua Non "Mr. K Straw Man" Marsanne Vine de Paille (375ml),Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The 2006 Mr. K The Strawman Marsanne Vin de Paille is 100% Marsanne from the Beckmen Vineyard that boasts 240 grams of residual sugar per liter. A medium gold-colored effort, it reveals more marmalade notes interwoven with notions of maple syrup, honeysuckle, and exotic tropical fruits. While untuously-textured with remarkable sweetness, it is not cloying because of the fresh acids. I have no idea how long these wines will last, but they will undoubtedly keep for many years. 2005 Aubert "Reuling Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "There are 350 cases of the 2005 Chardonnay Reuling Vineyard, which comes from the Goldridge soils of this Sonoma Coast site. This Chardonnay comes from a clone suitcased over from the Montrachet vineyard in Burgundy. There is no doubting the liquid minerality, striking honeyed citrus, white currant, hazelnut, and brioche notes are more French than California, but the power and richness are pure New World. An absolutely remarkable Chardonnay that is certainly one of the top half dozen or so Chardonnays I have ever tasted from California, this is a stunningly proportioned, profound wine that should drink beautifully for 5-7 years, if you can resist it that long. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2002 Williams-Selyem "Flax" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir (92CG, 92ST, 90RP, 90WE). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Bright medium ruby. Complex aromas of blackberry, cassis, coffee, caramel and game. Begins very intense but rather lean, then builds and blossoms in the mouth, coating the palate with flavors of blackberry, cherry and rose. Ultimately lush but firmly tannic on the finish, in need of at least a couple years of additional cellaring. Like the Ferrington, this was aged in a relatively high 70% new oak." (06/2004)

Of the 2007 Rochioli "River Block" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir,Wine Enthusiast writes: "Always one of Williams Selyem’s top Pinot Noirs, the 2007 is a spectacular wine. The vines are the closest to the river in the famed Rochioli vineyard, and the resulting wine always has an elegant structure and fruity accessibility that make it drinkable at a younger age. 2004 Philip Togni Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2004 Philip Togni Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95RP, 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon, a blend of 82% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot and the rest Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, comes from steep mountain vineyards at the top of the Napa side of Spring Mountain. Aromas of black olives, tapenade, creme de cassis, licorice and truffles emerge from this opaque ruby/purple-colored, youthful 2004. Togni’s spiritual reference point is Bordeaux more than Napa Valley, and his wines seem to represent a hypothetical melange of those two distinctive schools of wine. Still backward, but rich, full-bodied and promising, this brilliant 2004 is 5-7 years away from its adolescence; it should age for 30-40 years. (RP)" (04/2014)

2001 Heitz Cellar "Martha's Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2001 Heitz Cellar "Martha's Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95RP, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This was a spectacular performance from this hallowed vineyard as well as one of Napa Valley’s great historic terroirs. Made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, it reveals a still youthful personality and will benefit from another 5-7 years of bottle age. An opaque purple color is followed by aromas of graphite, creme de cassis, flowers and background earth as well as spice. The old eucalyptus-filled aromatics of a young Martha’s Vineyard are nowhere to be found as the 2001 is dominated by fruit and earth. Full-bodied and powerful with superb integration of wood, tannin, acidity and alcohol, this large-scaled red is capable of three or more decades of cellaring. It is unquestionably a youthful classic, but it requires patience from its owners. Anticipated maturity: 2016-2035." (06/2011)

2005 Pax "Obsidian" Knight's Valley Syrah
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2005 Pax "Obsidian" Knight's Valley Syrah (96RP, 94ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2005 Syrah Obsidian Vineyard is from Knight’s Valley. This is steep hillside vineyard stuff with a dense, dark purple color, a phenomenally rich nose of brioche, acacia flowers, blackberry, and blueberry jam intermixed with some white chocolate and perhaps hints of fig and truffle. The wine is spicy, full-bodied, incredibly opulent, and thick, even unctuously textured, with great purity and richness. Moreover, the glycerin and viscosity cover up some huge tannins. This is an amazingly big, thick wine, but it still cascades over the palate like a waterfall. This wine should come into its own in several years and drink well for 10-15. (RP)" (12/2007)

Powerful, yet never pushy, with classic Napa balance. Rich, sweet, almost meaty, with massive tannins that are refined and smooth. Very great density and weight. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Caymus "Special Selection" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98RP, 96WS, 93AG, 92W&S). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Special Selection exhibits an opaque purple color, slightly more toasty oak in the aromatics, and explosive richness on the attack, mid-palate and length. The nose is slightly more restrained than in the regular bottling, but there is no doubting the Special Selection is a cut or two above the Napa bottling when it hits the palate. Extraordinary purity of fruit, creme de cassis, licorice and incense all emerge from this full-bodied, iconic classic. It can be enjoyed now and over the next 25+ years. (RP)" (10/2013)

It dazzles with rich blackberry, cherry pie, currant and cassis liqueur flavors, perfectly accented by sweet, smoky oak. It’s soft in tannins, yet ageworthy. Drink now–2020. " (12/2012)

1996 Opus One Napa Valley Proprietary Red
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1996 Opus One Napa Valley Proprietary Red (94RP, 92ST, 90AG). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This is one of the finest Opus Ones to date, offering a dark ruby/purple color, as well as a striking, intense bouquet of sweet licorice intermixed with blackberries, cassis, plums, and saddle leather. This seamless, full-bodied wine is more velvety-textured, opulent, and succulent than past vintages. The mid-palate is expansive and chewy. The long finish is filled with glycerin, ripe fruit, and sweet tannin. Drink this impressive, user-friendly yet richly concentrated effort over the next 15 years. (RP)" (01/2000)

2010 Abreu "Rothwell Hyde" St. Helena Proprietary Red
Bid on this bottle of 2010 Abreu "Rothwell Hyde" St. Helena Proprietary Red (94AG). Antonio Galloni: "Perhaps the greatest compliment I can pay the 2010 Rothwell Hyde, Abreu's rarely seen second wine, is that Brad Grimes served it last in our tasting and it more than held it's own. Sure, there is plenty of vintage 2010 pedigree, along with the typical Abreu textural richness, but it is the wine's overall balance that leaves the most lasting impression. Rothwell Hyde is made from a selection of the wines that don't go into the four main labels and is sold mostly through the mailing list and in a few select restaurants. If you see the 2010, grab it. 2006 Colgin "Cariad" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this bottle of 2006 Colgin "Cariad" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (98RP, 96JS, 94WS, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Meriting the same rating I gave it at its release, the 2006 Cariad is composed of 57% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, 11% Cabernet Franc and 7% Petit Verdot. One of the stars of the vintage, this thrilling, opaque purple-colored wine offers up sweet espresso, jus de viande, blackberry, blueberry, flower and chocolate aromas. A fabulous texture, tremendous purity, sensational brightness and authoritative flavor intensity allied to striking complexity and elegance are the signature of this creative blend from the David Abreu vineyards of Thorevilos and Madrona Ranch. Six hundred cases were produced. Give this wine another 3-4 years of cellaring and enjoy it over the following 15+. (RP)" (06/2011)

1991 Cain Five Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1991 Cain Five Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend ((90-92RP)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Cain Cellars has been making increasingly fine wines since 1987 and the 1990 and 1991 offerings would be worthy additions to any Cabernet enthusiast's cellar. The 1991 gets my nod as being slightly better than the 1990. Fleshier and more deeply extracted, as well as possessing a superb sense of balance, it offers an attractive herbal, cassis, and chocolatey nose, sweet, curranty, expansive flavors, decent acidity, and a long, fleshy, spicy finish. Bid on this bottle of 2007 Buccella Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP, 93JS, 93ST, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The blockbuster 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon is more primary, but it does display enormous fruit concentration, massive body, and wonderful purity, balance, and elegance. It is an extraordinarily promising 2007 with awesome fruit, depth and richness as well as a long finish. This offering will be even better with 5-7 years of bottle age, and should keep for 20+ years. Medium- to full-bodied and remarkably elegant and refined on the palate. There's sufficient tannins, yet the acidity is crisp and refreshing. A stylish Cabernet. 2007 Herb Lamb "HL" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2007 Herb Lamb "HL" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. From Herb Lamb Vineyard, source of Colgin's famous Cabernet, and winemaker Michael Trujillo. The winemaker's vintage notes: "The 2007 HL is so beautifully balanced – it has a solid core of dense fruit, but is more classic than pretty – more like the great 1997 (plush) and 1999 (firm & rich) wines. It has sweet, fruity tones, emphasized by dense black fruits. It is both fruity and chocolaty – like a black cherry pie with a rich, dark Baker’s Chocolate bar. It is already showing the velvety, textured tannins and full mouth feel of a well-balanced wine with room to age. In the mouth, the 2007 HL Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon is pretty and plush while at the same time rich and dense - all that the ’05 was and more..."

2010 Hundred Acre "Ark Vineyard" Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2010 Hundred Acre "Ark Vineyard" Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon (98RP, 95ST, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: " From the Howell Mountain Arc Vineyard (usually 1,300 to 1,400 cases produced in a normal year), the 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Arc Vineyard could be a candidate for perfection when it hits full maturity in 7-8 years. However, I wouldn’t hesitate to drink it now given the sweetness of the tannin and the abundance of the ripe, concentrated, delicious fruit. The nose exhibits classic aromas of mulberries, graphite, licorice, forest floor, black currants and blackberries. This is a broad, full throttle, multilevel, sensational wine. 98+ (RP" (10/2013)

1984 Silver Oak Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 1984 Silver Oak Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (93RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "More classic than the herb and olive-tinged Alexander Valley Cabernet, and not the least bit controversial such as the Bonny's Vineyard, the dark-colored, cassis, vanillin, and smoky-scented Napa cuvee possesses wonderfully rich, full-bodied flavors, underlying, unobtrusive tannin, and oodles of rich, creamy fruit. It is a lavishly rich, boldly-oaked Cabernet Sauvignon that admirably defines the 'All American' style sought by winemaker/proprietor Justin Meyer." (08/1994)

2007 Marcassin "Marcassin Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay
Bid on this bottle of 2007 Marcassin "Marcassin Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (99RP, 95WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A staggering Chardonnay that’s still an infant, the light yellow/green/gold 2007 offers up notes of unbuttered popcorn, orange liqueur, lemon butter, quince and crushed rocks. It possesses terrific underlying acidity, a full-bodied mouthfeel and a youthfulness and freshness that suggest this wine has two decades of life ahead of it. This majestic Chardonnay seems more French than Californian, but again, this reflects the significance of the labor of these two overachieving, push-the-envelope visionaries. What California viticulture and high-class, minimalist winemaking can achieve is exhibited in bold fashion by this 2007. It will hit its prime in 5-7 years, and appears to be a replay of the 2002 stylistically as well as for its overall potential. 99+ points. (RP)" (06/2012)

2007 Maybach Family "Materium" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2007 Maybach Family "Materium" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (99RP, 98WS, 94ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The prodigious 2007 Materium exhibits an even more opaque purple color, and ratchets up the level of intensity and aromatic complexity. Blackberry, black raspberry, blueberry, and cassis aromas intermixed with notes of crushed rocks, spring flowers, and toasty new oak are found in this beauty. Outstanding intensity along with full-bodied power and beautifully integrated acids, tannins, alcohol, and wood suggest this 2007 should hit its peak in 5-7 years, and evolve for three decades or more." It boasts beautiful notes of spring flowers, forest floor, mulberries, boysenberries and blueberries (true mountain cool climate fruits), a deep, savory, concentrated style, velvety tannins, decent acidity and a luscious mouthfeel. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Sloan possesses lots of espresso roast, chocolate fudge, baking spice, cedarwood, incense, creme de cassis, blackberry and subtle smoke characteristics. Surprisingly soft tannins are atypical for this vintage, but they work well and frame this full-bodied, concentrated, multidimensional wine. 2008 Brewer-Clifton "Sweeney Canyon" Sta. Rita Hills Chardonnay
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2008 Brewer-Clifton "Sweeney Canyon" Sta. Rita Hills Chardonnay (97RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2008 continues the trend of rating all the older Sweeney Canyon Chardonnays higher than I did early in their lives. That’s an indication of great winemaking from a spectacular site. The age old argument of whether a Chardonnay improves in the bottle is answered positively by how the wines in this vertical have performed. The 2008 Chardonnay displays a French style with lots of white corn, white peach, honeysuckle, wet rock and spice characteristics. Tropical fruit notes appear on the palate, and there is enough acidity to support and delineate the wine’s superb richness. The alcohol came in at 15.3%, relatively modest by Brewer-Clifton standards. The 2008 should drink well for at least 8-10 more years. (RP)" (11/2013)

2005 Stag's Leap Wine Cellars "Cask 23" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2005 Stag's Leap Wine Cellars "Cask 23" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (90CG). Connoisseurs Guide: "Almost sure to raise controversy with its involving aromas of leather, roasted coffee, scorched chocolate and herbs, this unique offering smacks ever so faintly of Syrah and may not fit the fruity Cabernet model, but its complexity is beyond any argument. It is smooth and supple in feel with plenty of palatal weight and a fine sense of polish, and its neatly fit spine of firm structural tannins is precisely the stuff of fine Cabernet. A few years of age should make a good thing better, and it has room enough for ten years of growth." (04/2009)

2010 Scarecrow "M. Étain" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2010 Scarecrow "M. Étain" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (94RP, 91ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A wine that captures the essence of the vintage, Scarecrow's 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon M. Etain literally bursts from the glass with vivid, beautifully articulated fruit. Black cherries, raspberry jam, plums, espresso, menthol and rosemary are just some of the many nuances that take shape in the glass. The 2010 is rich, full-bodied and beautifully layered from start to finish. Another year or two in bottle should help the firm 2010 tannins soften a touch. The 2010 includes 5% Petit Verdot in the final blend. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2024. (AG)" (12/2012)

Bid on this bottle of 2007 Peter Michael "Les Pavots" Knights Valley Bordeaux Blend (97RP, 95WS, 93JS, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2007 Les Pavots, a Bordeaux varietal blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Cabernet Franc, 10% Merlot, and 3% Petit Verdot, is brilliant. Its opaque purple color is accompanied by gorgeously complex aromas of melted chocolate, espresso roast, blackberries, and cassis. Full-bodied with a superb texture, a subtle note of oak, and fabulous concentration, it is more reminiscent of a Right Bank Bordeaux than one expects with this much Cabernet Sauvignon in the blend. A thirty-year wine, its impeccable balance and the sweetness of its tannins make it accessible already. (RP)" (02/2010)
