96 points James Halliday: "You can't make great wine by numbers, but the seamless balance of the wine stems from the perfect ripeness linked to its alcohol (or vice versa). Having taken on board the complex white flowers bouquet, it flows across the palate like a shower of confetti, dispensing stone fruit, grapefruit and splashes of balanced acidity." (9/2015) 92 points Vinous: "Light yellow-gold. Complex scents of pear skin, peach pit, tangerine, chamomile and iodine, with a smoky mineral flourish building in the glass. Supple and expansive on the palate, offering intense, mineral-tinged citrus and o ...Read More »
95 points James Halliday: "Estate-grown, wild yeast-fermented in French barriques with extended lees contact. Full of character and vitality; grapefruit and white peach figure skate with each other, the line perfect, the length admirable thanks in no small measure to minerally acidity." (6/2014) 90 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2013 Chardonnay opens to a peachy, tropical fruit nose with underlying notes of cedar, toast, butterscotch and roasted cashews. Medium-bodied, it has a pleasant creamy texture and good amount of stone fruit and tropical flavors before finishing with persistent, honey-toast notes. (LPB) ...Read More »
97 points James Halliday: "Hand-picked, whole bunch-pressed directly to French puncheons for wild ferment; 11 months maturation on lees. From the heart of the Upper Yarra (and its oldest vineyard), this has unequalled finesse and brightness to its fruit profile, ranging through grapefruit and white peach on the bouquet and palate alike." (9/2015) K&L Notes: Oakridge's wines re-define what many people think of Australian wines...they're the polar opposite of the over-ripe, over-extracted, "Fruit Bombs" as any wine can be. These wines are about balance, elegance and refinement. Winemaker David B... Read More »
92 points James Halliday: "From the Beenak, Coldstream, Gladysdale and Woori Yallock districts, all hand-picked. Has masses of fruit that could only come from the Yarra Valley, its length unmistakable, but not at the expense of mid-palate presence. Made to be enjoyed right now." K&L Notes: Last vintage we sold thousands of bottles of this wine from K&L direct import Oakridge Estate. Made by 20+ year veteran, Yarra Valley winemaker David Bicknell. David is considered by many as one of the best Chardonnay producers in all of Australia. The "Over The Shoulder" label is basically estate fruit that... Read More »
98 points James Halliday: "A very youthful bright green-quartz colour sets the scene for a riveting wine of exquisite purity and finesse. It almost floats in the mouth, so effortless is its invocation of all things Chardonnay: white flowers, white stone fruits and immaculately balanced acidity. Oak? Well, yes it's there, but rendered mute by the fruit. Has greater staying power than any other Australian Chardonnay." (9/2015) 96 points Decanter: "Great to see Margaret River’s most recognized Chardonnay in such good form. This has all the power one associates with Leeuwin – with the 100% new oak being tot ...Read More »

95 points James Halliday: "Pale, bright straw-green; the fragrant bouquet has notes of dried flowers and even a hint of spice/musk, the palate now on the development pathway with not obvious end in sight; you have to wait for the aftertaste to find all the wine has to offer so far, as citrus flavours ricochet around the mouth." (3/2015) 94 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 The Contours Museum Reserve Riesling shows lovely, evolving lanolin and petrol notes, with beeswax and toast over a core of lemon curd, lemongrass and lime leaves. There is some honey, as well. This is a dry, light and expressive Riesling wi ...Read More »

90 points Wine Spectator: "Ripe, rich and polished, with apricot-scented pear and floral flavors on a generous frame. Not heavy, but well-formed. Drink now through 2018. 287 cases made."
96 points Wine Spectator: "*Highly Recommended* Elegant and graceful, this opens to supple lemon and tangerine flavors, accented by spice, cedar, mineral and white floral touches. Everything is precise and supple, with a juicy touch on the epic finish. Drink now through 2026. (MW)" (7/2013) 94 points James Suckling: "Fabulous flamboyance and opulence yet a freshness and brightness underneath. Full body, lemon curd, apple meringue undertones. Vibrant finish. Screw cap." (3/2016) 93 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2013 Chardonnay Art Series is very ripe and rich, with a tropical nose of ginger, brioche and honeyed peach. The medium-bodied pala ...Read More »
92 points Vinous: "Light, hazy yellow. Smoky, assertively perfumed aromas of poached pear, melon and lemon curd are complemented by suggestions of fennel, jasmine and vanilla. Supple and broad on entry, then more taut in the middle, offering juicy orchard fruit and orange zest flavors and a hint of toasty lees. Shows a suave blend of power and finesse and finishes sappy, smoky and very long, with a sexy floral quality. This complex wine reminded me a lot of a top-notch white Bordeaux. (JR)" (3/2016) 90 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Youthfully mute with a subtle lemon curd and apple-laced nose, plus nuances ...Read More »
Kanta is a partnership between Germany's renowned winemaker Egon Müller and Michael Andrewartha, of Australia's premium wine retailer-importer East End Cellars. Having flown all around Australia to find the perfect cool-climate fruit for their Riesling, the partners found it in the Balhannah vineyard in Andrewartha's home turf, the cooler-climate Adelaide Hills.
92 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The Mesh 2015 Riesling is gorgeous with an expressive lime cordial and orange blossom nose, with hints of petrol, honey and coriander seeds. This Riesling is light-bodied, dry and crisp, and there are plenty of citrus and spice flavors leading to the perfumed finish. (LPB)" (6/2016) Wine Spectator: "Very crisp and refreshing. A note of fresh grated ginger adds some pop to the citrus and pear flavors, lingering nicely. (MW, Web-2016)"
97 points James Halliday: "Hand-picked with 'fishing headlamps' between 2am and 9am, enabling whole bunch pressing of cool fruit. Herb, grass, lime and lemon aromas and flavours whirl through the bouquet and superbly balanced palate alike, with lemon zest acidity cleansing and lengthening the finish and aftertaste." (8/2014) 91 points Vinous: "(all whole bunches and all stainless steel): Pale straw. Vibrant, sharply focused nose displays intense lime zest, lemongrass and jasmine scents and an assertive mineral overtone. Dry and stony in the mouth, offering bitter citrus pith, quince and fresh fig flav ...Read More »
96 points James Suckling: "An eerily Germanic accent to the nose of this wine (just as you get from the name), this has a fascinating fragrance to it with deep and ripe fruit aromas of nectarine, peach and baked yellow apple, plenty of spice, yellow and white flowers too. It sharpens aromatically with air, turning more citrusy and tight. The soft texture of this riesling really caresses the palate, smooth and even; it makes a hint at sweetness and yet has immense clarity and pared back zesty appeal. This is packed with rich lime fruit flavor. A clever wine from the pristine island ...Read More »
97 points James Halliday: "The floral bouquet is still to fully open its wings and fly, but the palate makes you spring to attention, its natural acid structure providing a superb framework for the fruit to clamber all over. As you come back again and again, the purity and balance of the flavours shine even more brightly, the length and balance immaculate, lime, lemon and a hint of apple exactly pitched. It is a finer wine than the joyous Springvale. 12.7% alc." 94 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The coy, youthfully mute 2015 Riesling Polish Hill has a mineral and wet pebble laced nose over notes of lime leaves, yuzu ...Read More »

95 points James Halliday: "**Special Value Selection** About as delicious as chardonnay gets. Beautiful white peach-and-pear fruit, pure and sunny, angles slowly down to a sustained, toasty, mealy finish. A joy to drink." (7/2016) 90 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2015 Clonale Chardonnay gives a ginger and warm peach nose with nuances of cinnamon toast, orange blossoms and honeysuckle. Light-bodied and wonderfully delicate on the palate, it has great flavour intensity and oodles of freshness, finishing with very good length." K&L Notes: Winemaker's Notes: "The 2015 Clonale offers a highly aromatic nose displaying notes of li... Read More »
97 points James Halliday: "**Top 100 Wines of 2016** One of the icons of Margaret River, a chardonnay that has had spectacular success in shows over the past 5+ years, this vintage typical. The mouthfeel and balance are flawless, supple yet focused, all the ingredients - fruit, oak, acidity - in perfect harmony and balance." 93 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2014 Chardonnay Heytesbury explodes on the nose with ripe apricot, pineapple and honeydew notes plus suggestions of cashews, cedar, marmite and struck match. Medium-bodied and wonderfully elegant for this intensity of flvors, it has lively backbone and cream ...Read More »
98 points James Halliday: "Made according to the biodynamic calendar from vine to glass. Estate-grown 36-year-old vines were whole bunch-pressed and wild yeast-fermented in French oak (one-third new). Has the usual Cullen magic, pitting very complex fruit against fine, taut acidity, yet making it appear the two were made for each other; the length of the wine is prodigious, its finesse equally extraordinary. Reached towards the end of a 100-wine tasting, I found myself retasting it when I didn't need to do so, and even committing the mortal tasting sin of swallowing some." (3/2014) ...Read More »

A fantastic, refreshing, aromatic white that is a field blend of 40% Savagnin, 25% Gewurztraminer, 25% Pinot Gris and 10% Chardonnay. This is crisp, floral and ultimately drinkable. Perfect with lighter food, Asian spices or sushi.
92 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2015 Chardonnay has a gorgeous honeysuckle, ripe apricot, pink grapefruit and candied ginger scented nose with a touch of toasty / yeastiness. Medium-bodied, the satiny palate offers wonderful intensity with stone fruit, savory and spice layers, finishing very long. 92+ (LPB)" (8/2016) K&L Notes: Winemaker's notes: "The wine displays fragrant lemon zest, fresh white stone fruit aromas and cut apples and pears with a hint of vanilla and brioche. The palate is a mix of citrus (in particular lime), white stone fruits, fresh apples and raw almonds with a slightly cre... Read More »
