93 points James Suckling: "A solid and chewy young red with dried blackberries, licorice and hints of toasted oak and walnuts. (8/2015) 93 points Vinous: "A dark, sumptuous beauty, the 2013 La Massa opens with superb depth and textural richness. Inky blue/purplish fruit, smoke, white pepper and violets are all super-expressive. Pliant, concentrated and deep, the 2013 is shaping up to be a real beauty. Succulent red cherry, plum, lavender and rose petal are some of the signatures. Aging in French oak shapes the wine nicely without marking it excessively. The purity of the flavors is striking. 2012 Felsina "Maestro Raro" Cabernet Sauvignon Toscana

94 points Vinous: "Fèlsina's 2012 Maestro Raro (Cabernet Sauvignon) is a real head-turner, although it is also an infant and in need of considerable cellaring. A bold, dark wine, the 2012 is vivid in the glass, with remarkable detail for such a big wine and exceptional overall balance. The 2012 is sweeping and dramatic in style, with plenty of that year's exotic fruit and opulence, along with plenty of sweet tobacco, rosemary, sage and cedar notes that add nuance. 2004 Tenuta di Trinoro Toscana Rosso

92 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2004 Tenuta di Trinoro is almost all Merlot enhanced by bright scintillas of the other grapes (Petit Verdot and Cabernets Sauvignon and Franc) that make up this celebrated Tuscan red. Of the wines tasted in this vertical, the 2004 is most indicative of that trademark Andrea Franchetti style that sees Baroque-style opulence in terms of the wine's ripeness, curvaceousness and softness. 2009 Sette Ponti "Oreno" Toscana

95 points James Suckling: "Currants, blueberries and mint on the nose. Full body, with velvety tannins and juicy fruit. Tannic now, but will soften with age. Lots going on here. Sweet flowers, spices and licorice wrap around the seamless, captivating finis ...Read More »

2000 Antinori "Solaia" Toscana (nicked label)

92 points Wine Spectator: "Bright aromas of crushed berry and raspberry, with a hint of mineral. Full-bodied and very round, with lovely velvety tannins and a long finish. Big and boisterous. Almost rustic, but hell, it's a beauty. (JS)" (10/2003) 90 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2000 Solaia, not unexpectedly, is the best wine of the series with expansive aromas of black currants, thyme, and sage, much eucalyptus and chocolate on the palate along with ripe, sweet fruit, and a sizeable finish. (ST)" (4/2004)
