Wine Enthusiast: "This opens with pretty, dark concentration and balanced aromas of black cherry and red currant set against leather, cedar and drying mineral notes. That extra density helps soften the sharp acidity." (5/2013)

Fattoria Rodano only produces 500 cases of this super Tuscan blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon and 50% Sangiovese. Grapes were hand-harvested from the organically certified Viacosta vineyard which features 35-45 year old vines with a beautifully situated, south-facing amphitheater-like exposure. For a luxurious touch, the wine was aged in 60% new French barriques before bottling.
95 points Vinous: "The 2008 Barolo Riserva Bussia - Cascina Dardi is shaping up to be a real jewel. Exquisite balsamic-inflected aromatics meld into a core of dark fruit. Slender and nuanced, as most wines are in this vintage, the 2008 Riserva is all about grace and finesse. The 2008 spent five and half years in cask and is just being released now. (AG)" (12/2015)

Harvest began in September and the grapes were loaded onto special racks where they were allowed to dry at room temperature in a ventilated room for three months. This process reduced the original weight of the grapes by 35-40% via dehydration, in turn concentrating the ... Read More »

I hope the Quintarelli star will continue to rise."

97 points James Suckling: "Best Paleo ever here. Incredible concentration of fruit, yet racy and balanced. The palate is crazy. It's like chocolate olive oil cake. Beautiful fruit, with dark berries, olive leaf and chocolate. Love the texture. The best pure Cabernet Franc on earth? Can't wait to drink it. Better in 2014." (8/2011) 95 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Good full ruby-red. Knockout, extremely fragrantnose combines raspberry, strawberry, Oriental spices, bay leaf, violet and white pepper. Fine-grained, pure and penetrating on the palate, with outstanding density and great energy to the flavors of red berri ...Read More »
