2011 Felsina "Fontalloro" Toscana (Pre-Arrival) New!
2011 Felsina "Fontalloro" Toscana (Pre-Arrival)

95 points James Suckling: "Aromas of dark chocolate, berries, toasted nuts and vanilla bean follow through to a full body, firm tannins and a juicy finish. Lots of intense, beautiful fruit. Tight, layered red. All there. Better in 2017." (11/2014) 94 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2011 Fontalloro is a pure expression of Sangiovese with fruit sourced from the Chianti Classico area and the Colli Senesi area. It ages in new and once-used barrique for up to 22 months. Aromas flow with authority, spanning a large swath of fruit and oak-related attributes. The best part, however, is the aromatic layering: Slices of br ...Read More »

2013 Felsina Chianti Classico Back In Stock!
2013 Felsina Chianti Classico

92 points James Suckling: "A super refined wine with sliced berry plus hints of cedar and vanilla. Full-bodied, bright and crisp; lovely finish. Drink now." (10/2015) 92 points Wine Enthusiast: "Dark berry, underbrush and tobacco aromas lead the nose of this vibrant, structured wine while the palate doles out black cherry, fresh raspberry, licorice and clove. Fresh acidity and supple tannins balance the juicy flavors. Drink through 2018. (KO)" (9/2015) 92 points Wine Spectator: "*Smart Buy* This is rich and sumptuous, boasting pure flavors of cherry and raspberry, matched to a juicy texture. There are plenty of tannins neatly folded into ...Read More »

2011 Grifalco "DaGinestra" Aglianico del Vulture Back In Stock!
2011 Grifalco "DaGinestra" Aglianico del Vulture

94 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This is a wine from Grifalco that I was previously unfamiliar with. The 2011 Aglianico del Vulture Daginestra is released five years after the harvest and represents the most sophisticated wine in this estate's portfolio. The bouquet is dark and savory with spice, cured meat, licorice, dried fruit, black mineral and ash. The results are balanced and tight and I admire the tannic definition that lends so much backbone. This is a terrific Aglianico. Winemakers Fabrizio and Lorenzo Piccini farm organically in the Venosa, Ginestra and Maschito areas of the V ...Read More »

2003 Antinori "Solaia" Toscana Back In Stock!
2003 Antinori "Solaia" Toscana

95 points Wine Spectator: "* Collectibles * Fantastic aromas of crushed blackberry, licorice and strawberry. Full-bodied, with rich, velvety tannins and a long, fruity finish. Fruit-forward and exciting. Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. Best after 2008." (10/2006) 93 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2003 Solaia (75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Sangiovese and 5% Cabernet Franc) reveals the essence of blackberry jam, licorice, cassis, tar and minerals in a super-ripe, heady expression of the vintage. Richly sumptuous on the palate, this beautiful, expansive Solaia offers terrific length as well as stunning balance ...Read More »

2005 Felsina Vin Santo (375ml) Back In Stock!
2005 Felsina Vin Santo (375ml)

92 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Made with Trebbiano, Malvasia and Sangiovese, the 2005 Vin Santo del Chianti Classico opens to a brilliant amber color and thick viscosity that hugs to the rim of the glass. Oak-driven tones of vanilla and caramel are immediately apparent, but quickly followed by candied fruit, butterscotch and orange peel. Clusters undergo a natural drying process on mats until February of the following year. The must is transferred to sealed oak casks containing the “mother,” or gelatinous remains from previous vintages. Fèlsina and consulting winemaker Franco Bernab ...Read More »

1996 Antinori "Guado al Tasso" Bolgheri Superiore Back In Stock!
1996 Antinori "Guado al Tasso" Bolgheri Superiore

Piero Antiniori's least known wine. The originator of the Tuscan wine revolution Piero Antinori has slowly introduced this wine into the US marketplace. The wine is a Cabernet Merlot blend, he is just across the street from his brother Lodovico's famed Ornellaia property, and down the road from his cousins also fairly famous property Sassicaia. Excellent wine, with soft supple textures and ripe open aromatics.

2010 Biondi Santi Brunello di Montalcino New!
2010 Biondi Santi Brunello di Montalcino

96 points Vinous: "Biondi Santi’s 2010 Brunello di Montalcino is one of the more controversial wines of the night. Some tasters admire the wine’s classical austerity and potential, but for others the wine is too tight to deliver real pleasure. There is little question the Biondi Santi needs time, but it is in my view impressive on this night, even if it is not as sexy as many other wines. (AG)" (12/2015) 96 points Wine Enthusiast: "*Cellar Selection* This radiant wine is loaded with finesse, opening with an alluring fragrance of rose, violet and a whiff of pressed powder. The firm, linear palate offers ...Read More »

2000 Antinori "Pian Delle Vigne" Brunello di Montalcino Back In Stock!
2000 Antinori "Pian Delle Vigne" Brunello di Montalcino

91 points Wine Enthusiast: "Looks good, smells good and tastes good, too. Displays a dark ruby luster, while the nose is full of oak, leather, black cherry, marzipan and citrus peel. And the palate is sweet and rich as it pours on chocolate, liqueur and ultra-mild tannins. (MS)" (7/2005) Wine Spectator: "Fresh aromas and flavors of blackberry, mineral and flowers follow through to a medium-bodied palate, with fine tannins and a medium finish. Slightly hard now. Best after 2005. 12,500 cases made. (JS)" (5/2005)
