2000 Lamborghini Campoleone
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2000 Lamborghini Campoleone (95RP, 91WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of the most spectacular wines made in Italy, this unfined/unfiltered, Merlot/Sangiovese blend (about 3,400 cases produced) boasts an extraordinary perfume of saddle leather, smoke, cassis, prunes, and plums. Rich, full-bodied, and voluptuously-textured, with layers of concentrated fruit, a magnificent seamlessness, and a huge, explosive finish, it should drink well for 10-15 years. It is a wine of great stature as well as intensity." (12/2002)

2011 Antinori Guado al Tasso Bolgheri Superiore (OWC)
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2011 Antinori Guado al Tasso Bolgheri Superiore (OWC - 95JS, 95RP, 94VN, 92WS, 91ST) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Forever the superstar, the 2011 Bolgheri Superiore Guado al Tasso is a delicious wine that never holds back in terms of intensity and seamless integration. Every detail has been finessed. The blend is 57% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot. Each vineyard parcel is fermented separately to maintain varietal identity. The wine’s appearance is dark and luscious with thick extraction and a vibrant dark garnet hue. Generous aromas of dark fruit, tobacco and chocolate lift steadily from the glass. The mouthfeel is soft and yielding with a great sense of tannic persistency that holds up the finish, which can be counted in many long minutes. Give this wine five years or more to fully evolve. 2007 Domenico Clerico "Ciabot Mentin" Barolo
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2007 Domenico Clerico "Ciabot Mentin" Barolo (98RP, 95JS, 95ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2007 Barolo Ciabot Mentin is one of the greatest wines I have ever tasted at this address. Deep, sensual layers of fruit flow from the glass as this full-throttle, intense Barolo reveals its profound, breathtaking personality. The 2007 shows tons of Ginestra nuance, but with extra dimensions to the fruit that literally covers every nook and cranny of the palate. Tasting this next to the 2006 is quite a comparison, as both wines are fabulous. Readers who can should be sure to own bottles of both. A side-by-side comparison is sure to be fascinating as the wines develop over the coming years. Astute readers will note the slight name change here, which is the result of new regulations that require the use of the historic vineyard name, in this case Ginestra, or a proprietary name. Call me nostalgic, but it is sad to see one of the iconic labels in Barolo disappea

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Castello dei Rampolla "Sammarco" Toscana (100VN, 97JS, 96RP, 95ST, 94WS, 93W&S). Vinous: "The 2010 Sammarco tastes like biting into a combination of graphite, crushed rocks, smoke, violets, kirsch, lavender and sweet spices. The flavors are intense and concentrated, yet also incredibly nuanced. Firm tannins give the wine an extra kick of energy on the sculpted finish. I don't expect the 2010 will be ready to drink anytime soon, but it is a real pleasure to revisit today, as it is just as stunning as it has always been. In a word: magnificent! (AG)" (10/2015)

2006 Il Poggione "Vigna Paganelli" Brunello di Montalcino Riserva (OWC)
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2006 Il Poggione "Vigna Paganelli" Brunello di Montalcino Riserva (OWC - 97RP, 96WE, 94ST, 92WS, 91JS) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2006 Brunello di Montalcino Riserva Vigna Paganelli is huge, powerful and totally implosive. The seductive allure of the 2007 is nowhere to be found. Instead, the 2006 is built on a serious spine of formidable tannin and dark red/black fruit. Hints of tar, licorice, rose petals and tobacco inform the powerful, virile finish. The 2006 is going to require considerable patience, but it is clearly a jewel of a wine, even at this early stage. (AG)" (04/2012)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Bolgheri Camarcanda is an exceptional wine with a level of aromatic intensity and integrity that is impossible to exaggerate. The blend is Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, in that order of importance. The bouquet is impeccable and refined, with deep layers of Morello cherry, cassis, dried blackberry and spice that peel back in quick succession. The oak component is beautifully integrated, imparting notes of chocolate and tobacco that complete this beautiful portrait of Tuscan winemaking. Hold this bottle for a few more years. 1964 Giacomo Conterno Barolo
Bid on this bottle of 1964 Giacomo Conterno Barolo (98RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Conterno’s 1964 Barolo presents an incredibly fresh, delicate and perfumed nose that continues seamlessly onto the palate, showing flavors of cherries and spices, and finishing with very sweet, soft tannins. I am at a loss to explain or describe this wine’s extraordinary youthfulness and sheer appeal. This wine is inviting and refreshing beyond words. My impression is of drinking a stunning wine at its absolute peak. Truly exceptional and unforgettable. Made from a blend of grapes the estate purchased from the Ginestra zone in Monforte, and Serralunga. (AG)" (04/2007)

2012 Gaja Ca' Marcanda "Magari" Toscana
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2012 Gaja Ca' Marcanda "Magari" Toscana (94RP, 93JS, 92WS, 91VN, 90ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Upped to a Bolgheri status (previously this wine was identified as a Toscana IGT), the 2012 Bolgheri Magari is simply delightful. This vintage shows extra heft and dimension that allows the wine to spread smoothly over the palate. Merlot is blended with Cabernets Franc and Sauvignon, and the taste profile in the 2012 vintage definitely favors the Merlot component. Soft cherry and dark berry segue to spice and moist tobacco. The structure of the two Cabernet varieties shows in the mouth where the wine is elegant and tight. It needs more time for bottle evolution. (ML)" (10/2014)

2003 Elio Grasso "Ginestra - Casa Matè" Barolo
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2003 Elio Grasso "Ginestra - Casa Matè" Barolo (92VN, 91RP, 90WS). Vinous: "Grasso's 2003 Barolo Ginestra Vigna Casa Matè is more advanced than the Gavarini. Dark cherry and plum notes meld into mocha, pine, leather and cloves. The 2003 Ginestra has more body and depth than the Gavarini, but it is also more forward in its aromas and flavors. Overall, it has aged well, but today the Gavarini has a slight edge when it comes to freshness. This fruit was picked very ripe and perhaps a touch on the late side. (AG)" (06/2014)

2004 Cavallotto "Bricco Boschis" Barolo
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2004 Cavallotto "Bricco Boschis" Barolo (93RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2004 Barolo Bricco Boschis tastes just like it did from barrel, which is to say sweet, layered and totally irresistible. The ripe red fruit is incredibly primary, and this wine is years away from offering its finest drinking, but it is already very impressive at this stage. This is an especially refined, elegant vintage for this wine, and I can only say that I await the Riservas with eager anticipation. (AG)" (10/2008)

Wine Enthusiast: "*CELLAR SELECTION* Renato Ratti's Rocche expression is a remarkable wine with extraordinary intensity and complexity. 2004 Oddero "Rocche di Castiglione" Barolo
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2004 Oddero "Rocche di Castiglione" Barolo. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The estate’s 2004 Barolo Rocche di Castiglione is a dark wine loaded with black cherries, menthol and sweet spices in the focused, sinewy style that is the hallmark of this bottling. Today the wine comes across as quite primary, but the tannins are refined, and my impression is that the only thing this needs is bottle age. The wine’s richness and depth are commendable. Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2004 Felsina "Rancia" Chianti Classico Riserva (96RP, 95ST, 92WE, 90WS, 3GR). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2004 Chianti Classico Riserva Rancia is pure silk on the palate. The 2004 is never going to be a huge Rancia. Instead, it is the wine’s elegance and poise that stand out most. In this tasting, the 2004 comes across as a modern day 1990, even if the vintage was quite different from a climactic perspective. Sweet roses, spices and licorice are all woven together beautifully on the impossibly fine, dazzling finish. This is a wine of unbelievable harmony. Proprietor Giuseppe Mazzocolin and longtime oenologist Franco Bernabei have elevated Sangiovese to a level of sophistication rarely seen. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2034. " (06/2012)
