2013 K Vintners "Cattle King - Upland Vineyard" Snipes Mountain Syrah

98 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2013 Syrah Cattle King is a smokin', layered, sexy, voluptuous Syrah that does everything right. Coming from the River Rock Vineyard in Walla Walla and the Upland Vineyard in Snipes Mountain, not destemmed and brought up all in larger barrels, this beauty offers a sensational perfume of smoked meats, pepper, licorice, black olives and assorted ripe black fruits. Deep, layered and concentrated, yet always light on its feet and elegant, this fabulous Syrah has a terrific mid-palate, a core of sweet fruit and blockbuster length. 2014 Wines Of Substance Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon Top Pick!
2014 Wines Of Substance Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

91 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The straight 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon is outstanding. Made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, native fermented, aged in French oak and bottled unfined and unfiltered, it’s a killer value that has lots of blue fruits, violets, graphite and leafy herbs in medium to full-bodied, concentrated, layered style. Savvy readers should buy a case of this and drink bottles over the coming 4-5 years, although I see no reason that it won’t keep longer either. 94 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Reviewed last year under the K Vintners label, the 2013 Super Substance Merlot Northridge is a serious effort that’s reminiscent of a top flight Pomerol. It sports a deep ruby/purple color as well as ample black currants, plums, wet clay and earth in a rich, full-bodied, concentrated, layered package that’s already hard to resist. Nevertheless, I suspect it will be even better with 2-3 years of bottle age and drink well over the following 10-15 years. Sexy, vibrant aromas of dark cherry, mocha, mint, espresso and licorice pastille, lifted by a lavender high note. Juicy, spicy and penetrating, with dark berry and mint flavors dominating. 2012 Andrew Rich "Prometheus" Columbia Valley Syrah

91 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Bright, deep red-ruby. Pure, deep aromas of blackberry, violet, bitter chocolate, smoke and rock. Then concentrated but reticent on the palate, showing serious density and subtle sweetness to the fine-grained flavors of dark berries, spices and bitter chocolate. Most expressive today on the long, ripe, tongue-dustingly tannic finish, where flavors of dark raspberry, blackberry, licorice and spices mount slowly and linger long. 2015 House of Independent Producers "La Mode" Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

The House of Independent Producers is a project directed by Chris Hedges of Hedges Family Estate. The wines are meant to be good varietal representations at an easy to swallow price. This Cabernet Sauvignon is a leaner, less oaky style of wine that lets the grape shine through. It is vinified by Sarah Hedges Goedhart from 75% Sagemoor Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon and 25% Red Mountain Syrah. It has a relatively small production of 4,196 cases and a snappy 13.5% ABV.
