2007 Rhys Alesia "Falstaff Road Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir

93 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Deep, bright red. Ripe red berry and cherry aromas are complicated by blood orange and fresh flowers. Fleshy, palate-coating red fruit flavors deliver solid punch and pick up a sexy Indian spice character with air. The finish repeats the deep cherry note and leaves dusty mineral and floral traces in its expansive wake. I'd resist opening this one for at least another three years. (ST)" (5/2009) 88-90 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The potentially outstanding Alesia 2007 Pinot Noir Falstaff Road Vineyard, another Sonoma Coast site, exhibits sweet raspberry and black cherry notes intermixed wit ...Read More »

92 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Deep, bright red. Powerful aromas of black raspberry and cherry are complicated by Asian spices and smoky herbs. Broad, juicy red and dark berry flavors display liqueur-like depth and are impressively energetic and focused. The spiciness builds on the long finish, which leaves sweet red fruit notes behind." 2007 Jones Family Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon Back In Stock!
2007 Jones Family Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

94 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A gorgeous offering, the 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate comes from a hillside vineyard located between St. Helena and Calistoga. Its dense blue/purple color is accompanied by complex aromatics of white flowers, creme de cassis, blueberry pie, charcoal, and a hint of subtle oak. With full-bodied power, stunning purity, concentration, and texture, an undeniable minerality, and a 45-second finish filled with fruit and tannin, this may be the finest wine yet produced by Jones Family Vineyards. It should evolve for 20-25 years. 94+ (RP)" (12/2009)

2007 Spottswoode "Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

99 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "In 2007, there was another small crop with only 1,700+ cases produced, from a blend of 97% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Cabernet Franc. An absolutely staggering nose of blueberries, white flowers, crème de cassis, licorice and graphite is followed by a full-bodied, opulent, multidimensional wine that is seamless. Incredible fruit intensity, purity and depth of character make this one of the great, great classics in the Spottswoode lineup. This wine can be approached now, but it is nowhere near full maturity, and should evolve for at least another 30-40+ yea ...Read More »

2007 Donum "Estate Grown" Russian River Pinot Noir

90 points Wine Enthusiast: "This is quite a good Pinot Noir, although despite the tannin-acid tightness it's not likely to improve beyond 2011. It's dry and silky and delicious in cherry, cola, spice and sandalwood flavors, and there's even a touch of chocolate." (6/2010) Wine & Spirits: "Sweet cherry, honey and menthol flavors make this a gentle red to serve with roast beef." (8/2010)

2007 Aubert "Reuling Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay

98 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Lemon rind, nectarine oil, baked apple, crushed rock, white flower, quince, and subtle smoky characteristics emerge from the 2007 Chardonnay Reuling Vineyard. It also displays that slight greenish hue (that comes from chlorophyll) to its straw color, fabulous fruit, unbelievable texture, and a 40+ second finish. (RP)" (2/2010) 93 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Good bright medium yellow. Pure but subdued nose shows more spices and saline earth tones than fruit today. Silky tannins add structure to the sweet black raspberry and cassis flavors, which gain sweetness and depth with air. The smoky note repeats on the long, sappy finish." (5/2009)

Bid on this bottle of 2007 Joseph Phelps "Insignia" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (99RP, 96CG, 96VN, 96WS, 95JS, 94WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Aged 24 months in new French oak, this infant 2007 exhibits an inky/purple color along with notes of graphite, spring flowers and smoky oak. This full-bodied, classic Insignia reveals fabulous depth, ripeness, texture, viscosity and richness. Still young and unformed, it should evolve for 25 or more years. Perhaps I should just go ahead and give this 2007 a three-digit score as it is a profoundly great Cabernet Sauvignon-based effort...one of the top Insignias yet produced. (RP)" (11/2013)

Its dense purple color is accompanied by a thrilling bouquet of espresso roast, smoked herbs, licorice, creme de cassis, blackberries, and ink. 2007 Opus One Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend

96 points Vinous: "There is so much to like about the 2007 Opus One. A wine that captures the essence of the year, the 2007 is exotic, flashy and striking. Kirsch, rose petals, pomegranates and spices form a fabric of compelling beauty. The 2007 is rich, sumptuous and generous, just as it should be. Threads of striking perfume are woven throughout, adding aromatic lift and pure sensuality. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A great wine in the making, the 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate (just under 10,000 cases produced) possesses a fragrant bouquet of sweet black currants, crushed rocks, earth and background oak. Full-bodied and dense, with Montelena’s typical power, tannin and reserved nature, this is a big, rich, formidably endowed red that requires 4-5 years of cellaring. That in itself is atypical of this exuberant, flamboyant vintage. Given this cuvee’s past history, this 2007 should age for 30+ years. (RP) 94+ " (12/2010)

96 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of my favorite offerings is the brilliant 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Wall Vineyard. From an 1,800 foot elevation vineyard, it is a blend of 89% Cabernet Sauvignon and 11% Cabernet Franc. Black raspberry, blueberry, licorice, incense and graphite characteristics are accompanied by an opaque purple color, gorgeous complexity and richness and hints of toasty oak as well as flowers. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2007 Shafer "Hillside Select" Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP, 97JS, 97WE, 95VN, 94DC). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of the perfect wines from Shafer is the 2007 Shafer Cabernet Sauvignon Hillside Select. Think it over – in the first decade of the 21st century, Shafer scored three perfect scores and two 99s – that’s about as high a praise as I can give any producer in the world. Opaque purple in color, the 2007 has a stunning nose of sweet crème de cassis, black cherries, licorice, and toasty oak, a multilayered, full-throttle personality, and a texture that builds and builds. Great purity, fabulous fruit intensity and a richness without heaviness characterize this massive, prodigious effort from Shafer. It’s still very young, despite this vintage, which seems to be maturing precociously. I don’t believe this wine will hit its stride for at least another 5-10 years and drink well for at least 2-3 decades. (RP) " (12/2014)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2007 Les Pavots, a Bordeaux varietal blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Cabernet Franc, 10% Merlot, and 3% Petit Verdot, is brilliant. Its opaque purple color is accompanied by gorgeously complex aromas of melted chocolate, espresso roast, blackberries, and cassis. Full-bodied with a superb texture, a subtle note of oak, and fabulous concentration, it is more reminiscent of a Right Bank Bordeaux than one expects with this much Cabernet Sauvignon in the blend. Connoisseurs Guide: "The Westside Road Neighbors bottling is traditionally one of our Williams Selyem favorites, and it rises to the head of the class once again in 2007. It leads with the deep and downright succulent aromas of wonderfully pure cherry-like fruit that mark the best of its district, and, even if a little tight in construction, it shows fruity substance to spare and its precise, well-extracted flavors go on and on. 2007 Marcassin "Marcassin Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2007 Marcassin "Marcassin Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (99RP, 95WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A staggering Chardonnay that’s still an infant, the light yellow/green/gold 2007 offers up notes of unbuttered popcorn, orange liqueur, lemon butter, quince and crushed rocks. It possesses terrific underlying acidity, a full-bodied mouthfeel and a youthfulness and freshness that suggest this wine has two decades of life ahead of it. This majestic Chardonnay seems more French than Californian, but again, this reflects the significance of the labor of these two overachieving, push-the-envelope visionaries. What California viticulture and high-class, minimalist winemaking can achieve is exhibited in bold fashion by this 2007. It will hit its prime in 5-7 years, and appears to be a replay of the 2002 stylistically as well as for its overall potential. (RP) 99+" (06/2012)

2007 Kosta Browne "Kanzler Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir

95 points Wine Spectator: "This very tight Pinot is dense, concentrated and focused on pure, ripe, layered plum and raspberry fruit. Impressive showing. (JL, Web Only-2012)" 93 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Ruby-red. Energetic aromas of black raspberry, blood orange, candied rose and minerals. Vivid, impressively focused red and dark berry flavors are complicated by an exotic floral pastille quality. The silky tannins add support and gentle grip to the long, subtly sweet finish. (ST)" (5/2009) 90 points Connoisseurs Guide: "First, let us say that this is a very good Pinot Noir by any standard, and it shows fine concentration if a little less succu ...Read More »

2007 Kosta Browne "Amber Ridge" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir

97 points Connoisseurs Guide: "This collection of new Pinot Noirs raises the bar for the variety. It rates with the best showing from the best Pinot makers in California, and this outstanding wine comes out at the head of an altogether remarkable class. It is at once deep and profoundly fruity with a lavish display of optimally ripe cherries and perfectly fit oak, and, although high in extract and muscle, it is uncannily well-balanced and never less than brilliantly controlled. For all of its show-stopping richness, it is still far from its best, and only the sure promise of better wi ...Read More »

2007 Williams Selyem "Allen Vineyard" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir

97 points Wine Enthusiast: "It’s dry and tough, with a resistance to the richness. Yet the core of flavor is enormous. Shows concentrated, flashy flavors of cherry marmalade, raspberry, orange blossom, cola, licorice, rose tea and spices that go on and on and continue to develop in the glass. The texture is pure silk and satin. *Cellar Selection*" (2/2010) 94 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Medium red. Intensely perfumed bouquet of raspberry, potpourri, Asian spices and sassafras. Impressively pure red fruit flavors are underscored by zesty mineral and sweet floral pastille nuances, with fine-grained tannins adding gr ...Read More »

2007 Vineyard 29 "29 Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon Back In Stock!
2007 Vineyard 29 "29 Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

98 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The flagship wine, the 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Vineyard 29 Estate, is an extraordinary effort. Performing even better than it did last year from barrel, this 100% Cabernet Sauvignon spent 20 months in French oak barrels (90% new). The nose reveals notes of graphite, ink, cassis, and flowers. Superbly concentrated with impeccable purity and balance, this full-bodied wine is one of both power and elegance. If I didn’t know better, I would guess it was from Stags Leap rather than the west side north of St. Helena ... it’s that refined and gracious. The stun ...Read More »

2007 Hundred Acre "Kayli Morgan" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

100 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A profound wine from a superb Napa vintage for Bordeaux varietals, the 2007’s nose may cause one to overdose on blue, black and red berry fruit. The extraordinary intensity, purity and depth in this rich, flamboyant, exuberant wine are mindboggling. This bigger-than-life Cabernet Sauvignon appears set for 20-30 years of aging. It can be drunk now, but because of its sweet, velvety tannins, it will still be offering sensational drinking in 2040. (RP)" (6/2012) 95 points Vinous: "Bright, dark red with ruby tones. Rich, complex, rather claret-like aromas of plum, black raspberr ...Read More »

2007 Williams Selyem "Coastlands Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir

94 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Inky ruby. Potent aromas of blackberry, boysenberry and dried rose, with exotic Indian spice and gingerbread nuances adding complexity. Deep, fleshy dark berry flavors show liqueur-like depth and intensity, with slow-building tannins adding grip and structure. Develops more vibrancy and red fruit character with aeration and finishes with outstanding clarity and sappy persistence. This is another '07 from Williams-Selyem that calls for patience. (ST) 94+" (6/2009) 93 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The deepest-colored of these Pinots is the 2007 Pinot Noir Coastlands Vineyard. The opaque rub ...Read More »

2007 Williams Selyem "Vista Verde" San Benito County Pinot Noir

95 points Wine Enthusiast: "The winery’s best Vista Verde ever. Terrific in crisp acidity and finely meshed tannins that frame ripe, rich flavors of cherry pulp, root beer, anise and oak that finish long and impressively delicious. Complex and compelling now, and will develop in the bottle over the next 6-8 years. *Cellar Selection*" (2/2010) 92 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Medium red. Ripe, smoky cherry and dark berry aromas are brightened by fresh rose and minerals. Cassis and blueberry flavors coat the palate, with velvety tannins providing shape. The minerality gains power with air, adding urgency to the deep, ...Read More »

2007 Windy Oaks "Estate Proprietor's Reserve" Santa Cruz Mountains Pinot Noir

Prince of Pinot approved: "Primarily sourced from the 1.5-acre Bay Block, part of the original 3-acre vineyard. Aged 23 months in 75% new French oak barrels. Interesting disconnect between the reserved earthy nose and the flavorful fruit core. Shy scents of damp earth, decay, mushroom and oak. Intense flavors of dark red stone fruits and berries with hints of lovely spice, cherry cola and oak. Picks up power and interest over time in the glass offering a persistent tug of tasty strawberry fruit on the finish. Similar to the Estate Cuvée in taste, but ram... Read More »

2007 Peter Michael "Le Caprice" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir

93 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2007 Pinot Noir Le Caprice is performing better out of bottle than it did in 2008 from barrel. Its dense ruby/purple color is followed by copious aromas of raspberry liqueur, forest floor, wild berries, and hints of smoke as well as roasted herbs. Full-bodied, fleshy, and ripe with good acidity, it should drink nicely for a decade or more. (RP)" (2/2010) 93 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Bright red. Wild strawberry and raspberry preserves on the nose, with energetic floral and mineral notes adding complexity. Deep, sappy red berry flavors are firmed by silky tannins, which add grip and ...Read More »
