97 points James Halliday: "Hand-picked, whole bunch-pressed directly to French puncheons for wild ferment; 11 months maturation on lees. From the heart of the Upper Yarra (and its oldest vineyard), this has unequalled finesse and brightness to its fruit profile, ranging through grapefruit and white peach on the bouquet and palate alike." (9/2015) K&L Notes: Oakridge's wines re-define what many people think of Australian wines...they're the polar opposite of the over-ripe, over-extracted, "Fruit Bombs" as any wine can be. These wines are about balance, elegance and refinement. Winemaker David B... Read More »
97 points James Halliday: "From the estate vineyards in Mount Barker, Porongurup and Margaret River; hand-picked, and chilled overnight before hand sorted, whole bunch-pressed direct to barrel (30% new French) for wild fermentation, matured on lees for 9 months, part with mlf. Iron fist in a velvet glove, more common with red wines than chardonnay, but this has awesome power, concentration and length to its pink grapefruit, white stone fruit and pistachio, nougat accents from the mlf." 92 points James Suckling: "A southerly source in cooler territory has this chardonnay looking super fresh, floral and crisp. ...Read More »

92 points James Halliday: "From the Beenak, Coldstream, Gladysdale and Woori Yallock districts, all hand-picked. Has masses of fruit that could only come from the Yarra Valley, its length unmistakable, but not at the expense of mid-palate presence. Made to be enjoyed right now." K&L Notes: Last vintage we sold thousands of bottles of this wine from K&L direct import Oakridge Estate. Made by 20+ year veteran, Yarra Valley winemaker David Bicknell. David is considered by many as one of the best Chardonnay producers in all of Australia. The "Over The Shoulder" label is basically estate fruit that... Read More »
96 points James Halliday: "Whole bunch-pressed straight to French puncheons for wild ferment on solids, then 11 months maturation on lees. Has the Oakridge stamp all over it: a complex, slightly funky bouquet and great drive to the long, elegant, perfectly balanced palate, oak merely a vehicle." (10/2014) 92 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2013 Local Vineyard Series Guerin Vineyard Chardonnay is intensely scented of lemon curd, lemongrass, lime leaves and mandarin peel with touches of struck flint, toasted cashews, cedar and ginger. Medium-bodied, the palate delivers a beautiful satiny texture and plenty of livel ...Read More »
93 points James Suckling: "A chardonnay with focus and precision. Full body, layers of fruit that are compressed with bright acidity. Persistent and beautiful finish." (2/2016) 92 points Wine Spectator: "Stylish, with a dried floral note weaving in and out of the green apple, lemon and melon flavors. Shows focused acidity and a long finish. Drink now through 2020. 180 cases imported. Web Only-2016 (MW)" (2/2016) 91 points Vinous: "The complexity of this iconic winery’s entry-level Chardonnay belies its price - Light, green-tinged yellow. Aromas of fresh melon, pear and Meyer lemon, with subtle hints of toasty lees and fennel emer ...Read More »
95 points James Halliday: "*Special Value Selection* Free-run juice from Great Southern/Margaret River grapes has been partially barrel-fermented, the slightly smoky bouquet leading into an intensely focused palate, with the length and clarity more frequently encountered with high quality Riesling, a comparison heightened by attractive citrus notes that accompany stone fruit and gooseberry flavours."
94 points James Halliday: "A powerful and complex blend, seemingly made without oak (and not needing it); there is a broader spectrum of flavours than those of the Sémillon, but with slightly less intensity." (7/2015) 91 points Vinous: "(fermented in stainless steel tanks, with 40% of the wine then transferred to used French oak barrels for three months): Pale gold. Lively, mineral-tinged aromas of pink grapefruit, green apple, nectarine and chamomile, with a gingery topnote gaining strength with aeration. Palate-staining citrus and orchard fruit flavors show very good clarity and power, with a hint o ...Read More »
91 points James Halliday: "Generosity personified, with Meyer lemon and Bickford's lime juice aromas and flavours letting nothing else get into the act (including acidity). Ready now." 90 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2015 Riesling is intensely scented of lime cordial, white peaches, lemon curd and honeysuckle with a waft of talc. Light-bodied, dry and with a lively acid backbone, it delivers a burst of expressive citrus flavor and great length. (LPB)" (6/2016)
94 points James Halliday: "Bright and sunny with pear, apple and white peach flavor before then raising more serious points. Said points come in the form of flint, matchstick and the grunt of grapefruit, all laced with smoky oak. Drinkability meets sophistication meets value."

94 points James Halliday: "Is already settling into a sound drinking place. It's all strung on a taut line of acidity but the lemon, apple, hay and spice notes give something to enjoy now. That said, it shows all the signs that, over the medium term at least, it will mature deliciously." (7/2014) 91 points James Suckling: "Sliced apples and peaches on the nose follow through to a full body, bright acidity and a tropical fruit aftertaste. Drink or hold. Screw cap." (10/2013) K&L Notes: The Hunter Valley is renowned for producing some of the best Semillon in the world. This wine displays fresh, lifted citrus characters, a l... Read More »
92 points Vinous: "Light, hazy yellow. Smoky, assertively perfumed aromas of poached pear, melon and lemon curd are complemented by suggestions of fennel, jasmine and vanilla. Supple and broad on entry, then more taut in the middle, offering juicy orchard fruit and orange zest flavors and a hint of toasty lees. Shows a suave blend of power and finesse and finishes sappy, smoky and very long, with a sexy floral quality. This complex wine reminded me a lot of a top-notch white Bordeaux. (JR)" (3/2016) 90 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Youthfully mute with a subtle lemon curd and apple-laced nose, plus nuances ...Read More »
94 points James Halliday: "Adelaide Hills enjoyed a picture-perfect vintage, with moderate yields ripening to perfection. No winemaking tricks, cool fermentation in stainless steel and early bottling. The wine verges on fleshy on the mid-palate, then finishes with a swagger of limey natural acidity on the long, fresh finish. Flavours? Grapefruit and a touch of passionfruit." 90 points Vinous: "Bright silver-straw color. Vibrant, mineral-laced lemon/lime and quince aromas are complemented by emerging notes of pineapple and mango. Emphatically fruity, focused and dry, showing a firm stony underpinning t ...Read More »
90 points Wine Spectator: "Ripe, rich and polished, with apricot-scented pear and floral flavors on a generous frame. Not heavy, but well-formed. Drink now through 2018. 287 cases made."
96 points James Suckling: "An eerily Germanic accent to the nose of this wine (just as you get from the name), this has a fascinating fragrance to it with deep and ripe fruit aromas of nectarine, peach and baked yellow apple, plenty of spice, yellow and white flowers too. It sharpens aromatically with air, turning more citrusy and tight. The soft texture of this riesling really caresses the palate, smooth and even; it makes a hint at sweetness and yet has immense clarity and pared back zesty appeal. This is packed with rich lime fruit flavor. A clever wine from the pristine island ...Read More »
