2016 l'Avocat Blanc, Graves

L'Avocat is in the small commune of Cerons, which is located just north of Barsac and Sauternes in the southern Graves appellation. The vineyards were purchased by Nicola and Sean Allison in 2002; the fruit was previously sold to Mouton Rothschild. At 300 feet above the Garrone River, the vineyards have stunning views of the lovely Côtes de Bordeaux. The vineyard's elevation is a key factor in its great drainage, and the soil is loaded with different color gravel that imparts textbook minerality to both their whites and reds.

2016 La Graside Blanc, Bordeaux

Another of the fine wines of Dominique Robin, Le Blanc de la Graside is sourced from a vineyard three miles south of Libourne that is planted with 60-year-old Sauvignon Blanc vines. Grapes are harvested at full maturity and aged in casks to round out the wine's generous profile, while it retains a mineral-driven finish.

2015 Les Charmes Godard Blanc, Côtes de Francs

93 points James Suckling: "A white with impressive personality. Green mangoes, lemon rind and limes. Full-bodied, layered and beautiful. Love the dried-fruit and mineral character to the palate. A blend of Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc." (2/2018) 91 points Vinous: "Nicolas Thienpont's 2015 Les Charmes-Godard is as delicious as it has always been. Now that it has been in bottle, the contours have softened a bit. I would prefer to drink the 2015 over the next year or two, while the citrus and floral notes remain bright. Drink from 2022. *Cellar Selection* (RV)" (4/2018) 92 points Decanter: "Great definition, this has soft white flowers with a graphite kick on the finish. (2/2017) 92 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2014 Carbonnieux Blanc has a detailed and vivacious bouquet offering attractive blackcurrant leaf and citrus aromas, hints of almond and white chocolate just tucked in nicely below the surface. The palate is well balanced with a slice of bitter lemon on the entry. 2015 d'Yquem "Y" Bordeaux Blanc Top Pick!
2015 d'Yquem "Y" Bordeaux Blanc

92 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The Sauvignon Blanc (75% of the blend) was picked quickly from 25-27 August this year, the Sémillon on 3 and 4 September. It has six grams per liter of residual sugar and the pH, a sizzling 3.20. It has an intriguing bouquet of melted wax, white flowers and hints of sea spray, that marine influence becoming quite strong with aeration. The palate is fresh on the entry with fresh ginger and lemongrass, lively in the mouth with shades of orange rind and sour lemon towards the persistent finish. 2015 Bouscaut Blanc, Pessac-Leognan (Pre-Arrival)

This promises to be a rich, concentrated wine as it matures. (RV)" (4/2018) 93 points Decanter: "Rich and round with clear new oak markings, but well handled. This is a contemporary Pessac, a wine to match with chicken rather than oysters because it occupies the richer end of the scale.
