91 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Pale gold. Clean, ripe and pure on the nose, with stone fruit and citrus aromas complicated by minerals, clove and vanillin oak. At once fresh and ripe in the mouth, with intense flavors of apricot nectar and orange. Finishes ripe and long, with a strong spice character to the fruit flavors, and firm spine. Very promising." (7/2006) 90 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2004 Chateau Nairac is closed and reticent on the nose with light pineapple and citrus peel scents. The palate is nicely rounded and viscous on the entry. There are light scents of orange peel and dried apricot and a touch ...Read More »
Mouton Cadet has partnered with wine lover and legendary golf course architect Robert Trent Jones, Jr. to design this year's Ryder Cup limited edition. This special Mouton Cadet cuvée was the official wine of the 2016 Ryder Cup, and is available only for a short time.
James Suckling: "A little lean but shows bright fruit and mineral character. Medium body and medium finish." (3/2015)
95 points Decanter: "Bought by Lalique owner Silvio Denz, the estate was a fortress in the 13th century and takes its current name from Sieur Raymond Peyraguey, who purchased the property in 1618 and from M Lafaurie. He in turn had acquired it in 1796.The estate boasts 41ha under vine, of which some are exceptionally old, planted in the late 1920s. Semillon is most planted (93%), with a little Sauvignon Blanc (6%) and Muscadelle (1%). The wines are admired for their unique balance of power and elegance. Wine Spectator: "This has a nice mix of plump lemon curd and white peach flavors mixed with brisk thyme and chive notes. Fleur de sel edge on the finish. Drink now. (JM, Web-2016)"
89-91 points Vinous: "The 2013 Bourgneuf is rich, generous and inviting, especially within the context of the vintage. Dark cherry, plum, spice, vanillin and French oak notes blossom in a resonant, expressive wine endowed with lovely depth. The 2013 isn't especially complex, but it is quite open and expressive, not to mention incredibly delicious. I expect the 2013 will be a great wine to drink in its youth. Today the oak is a bit prominent, but hopefully that won't be an issue by the time the wine arrives in the market. This is a terrific showing. 93 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Tasted at the château, the 2007 Château Doisy-Védrines does not achieve the same level of precision as the 2006 on the nose, although there is plenty of botrytis here with scents of melted candle wax and white peach. The palate is vibrant on the entry with impressive weight: hints of orange peel and apricot with a tender, almost understated finish. This improves in the glass, gaining more complexity and nuance and yet never quite demonstrating the sheer ambition as the 2009. Yet I notice even within the limited amount of time at my disposal some meliorat ...Read More »
95 points James Suckling: "This is a vivid wine with terrific clarity and vibrance aromas and flavors. Full body, ultra fine tannins and a long, long finish. Class. Really superb for the vintage. Needs two or three years of bottle age to soften." (2/2016) 94 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2013 L'Eglise Clinet has a very precise, tightly wound bouquet with limestone-tinged, brambly red berry fruit, the Merlot still very expressive and imparting comely floral scents. There is something almost Burgundy-like about the nose. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin surrounding a core of citrus-fresh, lively red f ...Read More »
