Mouton Cadet has partnered with wine lover and legendary golf course architect Robert Trent Jones, Jr. to design this year's Ryder Cup limited edition. This special Mouton Cadet cuvée was the official wine of the 2016 Ryder Cup, and is available only for a short time.
94 points James Suckling: "Very, very impressive for the vintage with a dark fruits and impressive spice and mineral undertones. Full body, chewy tannins and a long, long finish. Tight and layered. Needs two or three years to open." (2/2016) 94 points Wine Enthusiast: "Powered by its structure and texture, this complex wine is dense, structured and firm. Plenty of dry and taut tannins dominate at this stage, but it is also full of fruit. The wine will age over many years while not being one of those vintages that will mature forever: the fruitiness will see to that. (RV)" (3/2016) 90-92 points Vinous: "Cloves, cinnamon, menthol, plum ...Read More »
Wine Spectator: "This has a nice mix of plump lemon curd and white peach flavors mixed with brisk thyme and chive notes. Fleur de sel edge on the finish. Drink now. (JM, Web-2016)"
96 points Wine Enthusiast: "This is finely structured, a tense wine with great fruits and an intense texture. It's tight while bursting with fruit. The structure is complex, dense and very mineral in character. It is a wine that will need many years, so drink from 2022. The production is tiny, and what is not fit for this wine goes into the Dillon Clarté wine. (RV)" (3/2016) 91-93 points James Suckling: "This unfolds on your palate with a oyster, raspberry and stone character. It slowly opens and builds. Chewy yet polished. Reserved LMHB." (4/2014) 90-92 points Vinous: "The 2013 La Mission Haut-Brion is intriguing. At first relatively i ...Read More »
92 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Medium yellow-gold. Young, pure and rather restrained on the nose, with the wine's oak component currently dominating exotic fruits, hazelnut and honey. Quite opulent on the attack, then large-scaled and solidly structured in the middle palate, with flavors of apricot, honey and clove. Big but not heavy, and not yet showing the flavor interest of the 2003. But this is quite closed today. Finishes thick, strong and long, with notes of vanilla, spices and nuts. (ST)" (7/2005) 92 points Wine Spectator: "Aromas of apple tart, cream and honey follow through to a full-bodied palate, with ...Read More »

93 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Tasted at the château, the 2007 Château Doisy-Védrines does not achieve the same level of precision as the 2006 on the nose, although there is plenty of botrytis here with scents of melted candle wax and white peach. The palate is vibrant on the entry with impressive weight: hints of orange peel and apricot with a tender, almost understated finish. This improves in the glass, gaining more complexity and nuance and yet never quite demonstrating the sheer ambition as the 2009. Yet I notice even within the limited amount of time at my disposal some meliorat ...Read More »
92 points Wine & Spirits: "This vintage emphasizes dark chocolate and French roast coffee scents. Its luscious cherry flavors give a soft, round impression in the middle, then it lightens up a little, needing time for the flavors to extend. The fineness of Langoa is there, and should be more apparent in ten years' time." (10/2008) 92 points Wine Enthusiast: "Big, ripe, almost exotic, this has developed impressively over the past 18 months. Its tannins are certainly huge, but so is the fruit, warm, rich and enticing. Very powered, it thrusts black currants and acidity right up front." (6/2008) 92 points Wine Spectator: "Wonderful aromas of ...Read More »
