2012 Fourcas Hosten, Listrac

Jancis Robinson: "Fully ripe dark fruit. Lightly perfumed. Good harmony on the mid palate, lightish but refined and fresh. Maybe the tannins are just slightly drying on the finish." (10/2014)

2009 Clarendelle Rouge, Grand Vin de Bordeaux (1.5L) (Previously $40)

According to their website: "A very balanced wine with a purple color, concentrated almost ink. The 13.5% ABV is perfectly balanced with tannins and freshness. Aromas of cherry, blackberry, black currant, a rich and mellow mouth, almost chocolatey. The tannins are dense but silky, giving a beautiful amplitude and length. Intense and concentrated but with lots of tenderness and finesse." 79% Merlot, 14% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Cabernet Franc

1995 Clos Fourtet, St-Emilion (Previously $170)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A very fine effort from Clos Fourtet, the 1995 exhibits a medium dark plum color, followed by sweet black cherry and kirsch fruit intertwined with minerals and toasty oak. 1990 Clos Fourtet, St-Émilion (Previously $300)

93 points Wine Spectator: "Outstanding. Dark ruby color, with gorgeous aromas of tobacco, chocolate, berry and grilled meat. Full-bodied and very concentrated, with wonderfully velvety tannins and a long, long, decadent finish. Superb." (8/2000) 90 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Fully mature, and probably the best Clos Fourtet made during a rather undistinguished period, this dark plum/garnet-colored wine has an enticing nose of melted licorice, Provencal herbs, smoked meats, and sweet cherry and black currant fruit. Medium to full-bodied, with a luscious, succulent texture, excellent concentration, and sweet tannin ...Read More »
