Bid on this 12-bottle lot of 2010 Lynch-Bages, Pauillac (OWC - 98JS, 96RP, 96WE, 96WS, 92ST) in original wood. James Suckling: "A wine with great beauty and finesse. Such elegance and ethereal quality for this estate. Full body, with ultra-fine tannins and a juicy delicious finish. Long and beautiful. This is the best Lynch in a long, long time. I love the precision here. Try in 2018. " (11/2013)

Bid on this 12-bottle lot of 2000 Malescot-St-Exupéry, Margaux (OWC - 95RP, 93WS, 91ST) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This estate, which has continued to impress me in recent years, hit a home run in 2000. Showing slightly better than I rated it previously, this wine is deep bluish/purple with some lightening at the edge, and its floral nose displays notes of melted licorice, crushed rock, blueberries and black raspberries. A wine of extraordinary balance, equilibrium, and purity, with supple tannins, this medium to full-bodied, concentrated effort is already compelling and has hit its window of full maturity, where it should stay for another 15-20 years. 2010 Pagodes de Cos, St-Estèphe (OWC)
Bid on this 9-bottle lot of 2010 Pagodes de Cos, St-Estèphe (OWC - 93RP, 92WE, 91JS, 91ST, 90WS) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Probably the best second wine ever made at Cos (although the 2009 should not be discounted), the 2010 Les Pagodes de Cos is a blend of 62% Cabernet Sauvignon and 38% Merlot finishing at 14% natural alcohol. This wine exhibits beautiful, silky tannins as well as sweet, rich mulberry and black currant fruit with hints of spring flowers, licorice and subtle toast. A full-bodied, opulent and -ideal- second wine, most people who have tasted it would probably agree that it is actually better than many vintages of Cos d-Estournel from the 1960s and 1970s. Drink it over the next 10-15 years. (RP)" (02/2013)

1990 Lafite-Rothschild, Pauillac
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1990 Lafite-Rothschild, Pauillac (96RP, 96ST, 95WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Interestingly, a bottle of 1990 Lafite Rothschild I pulled from my cellar for a video blog on my web site was still buttoned down, tight, and even with extended decanting was not showing as much as I would have hoped. However, a bottle tasted, of all places, in Seoul, Korea in February, was only a few points short of perfection. That amazing performance motivated me to pull another bottle out of my cellar and follow it over the course of two days. Sure enough, by the second day the wine was roaring from the glass. The 1990 Lafite has turned out far better than my early assessment. While it still possesses some firmness, and performs like a late adolescent in terms of its evolution, it boasts gorgeous aromas of cedar, tobacco leaf, cassis, and lead pencil shavings. The explosive aromas are followed by a fleshy, full-bodied wine that should hit its peak in 5-8 years, and last

Bid on this 12-bottle lot of 2006 Pape-Clément, Pessac-Léognan (OWC - 94RP, 93ST, 92WE, 91WS) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Tasted at Bordeaux Index's annual 10-Year On tasting in London. The 2006 Château Pape Clément has an intense bouquet that is very well defined, adorned with cassis, blueberry and subtle iodine scents that all gain momentum in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, very well-judged acidity, the new oak neatly enmeshed and blessed with a precise, harmonious finish that lingers. This is a wonderful Pape Clément that will give much pleasure over the next 20 or 30 years. (NM)" (05/2016)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2008 Pichon-Baron, Pauillac (OWC - 95RP, 94JS, 94WE, 93JG, 93ST, 91WS) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A sleeper of the vintage, the 2008 Pichon Longueville Baron is one of the densest, most concentrated wines of Pauillac in 2008. An inky/purple color is followed by aromas and flavors of creme de cassis, blackberries, charcoal, coffee and licorice. Exceptionally full-bodied with velvety tannins and undeniable appeal, this gorgeous, well-proportioned, larger than life 2008 should age effortlessly for two decades or more. (RP)" (05/2011)

Bid on this 12-bottle lot of 2008 Saint-Pierre, St-Julien (OWC - 93RP, 93WE, 91ST, 1GR) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "As I predicted from barrel, this stunning effort is a wine to buy by the case. Its opaque ruby/purple color is followed by aromas of graphite, barbecue smoke, blackberries and black currants. The full-bodied, textured 2008 Saint-Pierre reveals a skyscraper-like mouthfeel along with tremendous viscosity and unctuosity. One of the richest and potentially longest-lived 2008s, it is a fabulous sleeper of the vintage. Drink it over the next 20+ years. (RP)" (05/2011)

Wine Enthusiast: "*Editors' Choice* A big, ripe chocolate-flavored wine with spice, new wood and a smooth, polished character. It is rich, with black currant jelly flavors, but this richness is balanced with a lively freshness and subtlety in its tannins. The finish is long, the flavors echoing the nose. (RV)" (04/2009)

1980 Petrus, Pomerol
Bid on this bottle of 1980 Petrus, Pomerol. According to Robert Parker: "Talk about a thrill a second, as well as unprecedented decadence (at least for me), consider the rarity of a flight of six double magnums of Petrus! Because there were not many people at the tasting, there was the possibility of having several large glasses of these wines, making judging them all the more fun. And let's not forget the medical benefit of flushing the fat out of one's arteries with such remarkable juice! The 1980 Petrus turned in a surprisingly strong performance. A roasted herb, melted road tar, and sweet, jammy-scented nose is followed by a rich, medium to full-bodied wine with considerable length. It appears to have become more impressive with age. Could this wine really be superior to the 1981 and 1979? It is fully mature, so drink it over the next decade." (02/96)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The spectacular 2003 Leoville Poyferre exhibits a dense purple color with a touch of lightening at the edge as well as notes of creosote, barbecue smoke, jammy black currants, licorice and spice box. This intense, voluptuously textured, full-bodied St.-Julien possesses low acidity and ripe tannin. 2003 Mouton-Rothschild, Pauillac
Bid on this bottle of 2003 Mouton-Rothschild, Pauillac (95VN, 94WE, 94WS, 93ST, 91RP). Vinous: "A heady, exotic wine, the 2003 Mouton Rothschild takes hold of all the senses. The ripeness and exuberance of the year comes through in spades as this dramatic, opulent wine shows off its radiant personality. The 2003 can be enjoyed now, but it could also use another few years for the tannins to soften. Still, the 2003 is pretty hard to resist today. This is an exceptional, deeply satisfying Mouton endowed with notable richness but also exceptional balance. Hints of toffee, torrefaction and dark spices are laced into the finish. In 2003 the blend is 76% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot, all brought in between a fairly narrow window of ten days between September 15 and 25. 2005 Gracia, St-Emilion
Bid on this bottle of 2005 Gracia, St-Emilion (98RP, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This estate is a tiny micro-treasure in St.-Emilion. Owned by Michel Gracia and consisting of less than five acres of vines, it turned out a final blend in 2005 of 80% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, but only 5,000 bottles were produced. A wine pushing for perfection, notes of blueberry and blackberry dominate, but also underlying the fruit is a strong core of minerality and flowers. Full-bodied, rich, concentrated, and absolutely pure, this is a tour de force and a prodigious effort in this great, long-lived, slow-evolving vintage. 1986 Léoville-Las-Cases, St-Julien
Bid on this bottle of 1986 Léoville-Las-Cases, St-Julien (100RP, 97ST, 95WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The late Michel Delon always thought that this was the greatest vintage he had produced. We often tasted it side by side with the 1982, because I always preferred the latter vintage. Of course, the two vintages are quite different in style, with the 1986 a monument to classicism, with great tannin, extraordinary delineation, and a huge, full-bodied nose of sweet, ripe cassis fruit intermixed with vanilla, melon, fruitcake, and a multitude of spices. The wine has always been phenomenally concentrated, yet wonderfully fresh and vigorous. The wine still seems young, yet it is hard to believe it is not close to full maturity. It is a great example of Leoville Las Cases, and another compelling reason to take a serious look at the top Cabernet Sauvignon-based Medocs of 1986. Anticipated maturity: 2005-2035. 2000 Grand-Puy-Lacoste, Pauillac
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2000 Grand-Puy-Lacoste, Pauillac (95RP, 92ST, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2000 Château Grand Puy Lacoste is an exceptional wine from Xavier Borie. It has a brilliant nose of blackberry, crushed stone, graphite and cedar. Putting it to one side for ten to 15 minutes reveals subtle mint-like aromas that whisk you straight to Pauillac. The palate is smooth and silky, cloaking the tannic frame of this GPL so that you barely notice it. But that will stand it in good stead for the long-term, the cornerstone of all great wines from this estate. Then there is that hint of spice on the aftertaste—the show ain't over yet. Served alongside a magnum of Pichon Baron 2000, I would say that at the moment, it does not quite possess the same level of precision. However, it remains a magnificent Pauillac to cherish long-term. Tasted January 2016. (NM)" (07/2016)

1970 Haut-Brion, Graves
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1970 Haut-Brion, Graves (92RP, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1970 Château Haut-Brion is a First Growth that has probably been over-shadowed by the Latour 1970 during its lifetime. However, this bottle proves that it is not to be underestimated; it highlights the glaring gap that exists between itself and another First Growth, the 1970 Château Margaux that I tasted alongside. There is plenty of vigor on the nose with dashing red berry fruit, cedar and black olive - just very Haut-Brion.The palate is medium-bodied, well balanced and fresh, nothing over-ambitious, just a Claret in the traditional sense of the word that gently builds towards a sous-bois dominated finish. This is an excellent showing, stout and a little austere, and you could argue an Haut-Brion with its peak in its wing-mirrors. Yet good bottles such as this will continue to offer pleasure for another decade. (NM)" (07/2016)

2000 Margaux, Margaux
Bid on this bottle of 2000 Margaux, Margaux (100JS, 100RP, 98ST, 98W&S, 98WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Absolutely compelling in two tastings of this vintage, the 2000 Margaux is composed of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Merlot. The extraordinary seductiveness, complex aromatics, and purity it exhibits lead me to believe it has reached its window of full maturity. Medium-bodied, with layers of concentration, stunning blue, red, and black fruits intermixed with spring flowers, a subtle dosage of new oak, and a distinctive personality that is elegant while at the same time powerful and substantial, this is a multi-dimensional wine that was extremely approachable and drinkable in both tastings I had of it. The color remains a healthy, even opaque bluish/purple, but there is no reason to hesitate to drink it. It should evolve for another 30-40 years, so there is no hurry either. (RP)" (06/2010)

2002 Gruaud-Larose, St-Julien (OWC)
Bid on this 12-bottle lot of 2002 Gruaud-Larose, St-Julien (OWC - (88-90RP)) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A sweet, fruity, medium-bodied, surprisingly forward effort, the deep plum/purple-colored 2002 Gruaud Larose exhibits ripe aromas revealing herbaceous as well as spice notes. There is some potentially worrisome astringent tannin in the finish, but the wine’s depth augers well for this being ultimately resolved and integrated. Anticipated maturity: 2007-2018 (RP)" (10/2003)

1982 Lafleur, Pomerol
Bid on this bottle of 1982 Lafleur, Pomerol (100JS, 100RP, 99WS, 98ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1982 Lafleur, at least for my palate, while qualitatively no better than Mouton Rothschild, Latour, and La Mission Haut Brion, is off the charts in terms of the hedonistic and intellectual pleasure it gives me. I have only a few bottles remaining in my cellar, and this 1982 is still a young wine. The extraordinary intensity and purity of the kirsch liqueur and licorice, the remarkable opulence, the thickness and richness, yet the ability to seem fresh with laser-like precision are all things that must be tasted to be believed. This wine is showing a little bricking at the edge, but has off the chart concentration as well as a viscous texture and unreal purity and fruit. It is as close to some of the legendary 1947s that were produced in Pomerol as anything made in the last thirty years. This is a remarkable wine! Anticipated maturity: now-2030. (RP)" (06/2009)

1982 Ausone, St-Emilion
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1982 Ausone, St-Emilion (94ST, 93WS, 90RP). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "The bottle in the blind flight showed rather autumnal aromas and an element of old wood on the nose; modest volume and sweetness; and some unabsorbed acidity on the back end. Second bottle: Full healthy red with a hint of amber. Cool, laid-back aromas of cherry, minerals and menthol. Dense with extract but extremely dry, even tough. The tannins seem astringent for the vintage. I rated this bottle 89(+?). With my third bottle I finally hit the jackpot: Much fresher, more minerally aromas show superb purity and clarity. Then very youthfully unevolved in the mouth, with vibrant dark fruit and mineral flavors. Finishes impressively long, with firm tannins that avoid dryness. Drink 2010 through 2030." (08/2002)

1990 Angélus, St-Emilion
Bid on this bottle of 1990 Angélus, St-Emilion (99RP, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A blend of 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Franc, this is clearly the greatest Angelus until the 2000, 2003 and then the perfect 2005. Beautiful, sweet plum, blackberry and blueberry fruit soar from the glass of this opaque, purple wine that still hasn’t lost much in color. Deep, opulent, voluptuously textured, full-bodied and multidimensional, this is a stunner and just now approaching its plateau of full maturity, where it should stay for at least another 20 years. 1990 Troplong-Mondot, St-Emilion
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1990 Troplong-Mondot, St-Emilion (98RP, 95WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A fabulous example, the 1990 Troplong Mondot is only equaled by such recent vintages as 2000, 2005, and 2008. The inky/garnet/plum/purple-colored 1990 exhibits notes of coffee, blackberries, licorice, camphor, and espresso. Rich and full-bodied with lavish fruit, high glycerin, low acidity, and stunning purity, it is still several years away from full maturity, and should last for another 10-15 years. (RP)" (06/2009)

1999 Palmer, Margaux
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1999 Palmer, Margaux (95RP, 92ST, 91JS, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1999 is the greatest Palmer made since 1961, 1966, 1970, 1983, and 1989. It is one of the superstars of the vintage. The wine is a blend of 48% Cabernet Sauvignon, 46% Merlot, and 6% Petit Verdot. It boasts a staggering bouquet of violets and other spring flowers intermixed with licorice, black currants, and subtle wood. Only 50% of the production made it into the grand vin. This is a multidimensional, compelling effort with both power and elegance, it offers sweet tannin along with flavors that caress the palate, and a 45-second finish. This is terrific stuff! Bid on this magnum lot of 1970 Lynch-Bages, Pauillac (1.5L) (91RP, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1970 is an old style Lynch Bages with plenty of dry tannin in the finish. Compellingly aromatic, it offers aromas of cedar wood, spice box, tobacco, earth, black currants, and new saddle leather. Spicy, concentrated, and burly, with mouth-searing tannin, this big, thick wine is a terrific example of Lynch Bages made in an older style. (RP)" (06/2000)

Bid on this bottle of 2000 Cos d'Estournel, St-Estèphe (94W&S, 94WE, 93JS, 92WS). Wine Enthusiast: "For a Saint-Estèphe this is surprisingly supple at this stage. The density is all in the exotic fruit, while the tannins are more of a background. That suggests this is a wine that will develop relatively fast, but it is going to give great pleasure along the way." (06/2003)

1996 Pichon-Baron, Pauillac
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1996 Pichon-Baron, Pauillac (94RP, 90ST, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1996 Pichon-Longueville Baron has a deep garnet core with some bricking on the rim. The nose is fragrant and generous with more red fruit than black, cedar and tobacco, fine definition, perhaps a little rustic in keeping with the winemaking at the time, but certainly giving lots of pleasure. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin -- a cohesive Pauillac with plenty of depth and fine balance. The acidity lends this plenty of freshness and it does not shortchange you with plenty of tarry, cedary fruit. You come away with the impression that this Pichon Baron is going to continue to improve although I would not burn anyone at the stake for opening it now. If you cannot afford the First Growth then this (and Pichon Lalande) would be where I would come. (NM)" (10/2016)
