2012 Abreu "Cappella" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend

100 points James Suckling: "A beautiful and fresh red with flowers and blue fruits along with raspberries and blackberries. Full body, ultra-fine tannins, and wonderful length. Finesse. Fine-grained. Harmony and balance. Sexy and very, very beautiful. Magic and seamless." (9/2016) 96 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Cappella, probably has less Cabernet Franc than his other cuvées but at least 25-30%. This wine has closed down since I had it from barrel last year, but that probably reflects more on its post-bottling dormancy. A wine of great character and class, with notes of charcoal, incense, blackberry, choc ...Read More »

2010 Abreu "Cappella" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend

98 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Cappella, ( 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Cabernet Franc, and the rest Petit Verdot and Merlot) reveals a dense purple color, and even greater aromatic and flavor dimensions than the 2009. Notes of sweet creme de cassis, coffee bean, graphite, white chocolate and forest floor are followed by an intense, full-bodied, luxuriously textured wine that has plenty of tannin, but it is sweet and enrobed by sumptuous fruit and glycerin. This fabulous 2010 is one of the superstars of the vintage. It should continue to evolve for 25-30 years. As a set of win ...Read More »

2009 Abreu "Cappella" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this bottle of 2009 Abreu "Cappella" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (97VN, 96RP). Vinous: "Mocha, espresso, plums and raspberries float from the glass as the 2009 Proprietary Red Cappella conquers the palate and intellect. A sexy, radiant wine, the 2009 Cappella is bright, focused and exceptionally polished. Floral notes intermingled with hints of sweet tobacco, sage and mocha appear on the finish, adding considerable lift and finesse. Ideally the 2009 needs time in bottle, but it is incredibly appealing even today. I wouldn't suggest opening the Abreu 2009s anytime soon, but if I were going to open one, it would be the Cappella. In 2009, the Cappella is 72% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Cabernet Franc, 10% Petit Verdot and 3% Merlot. (AG)" (12/2012)

2011 Abreu "Las Posadas" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (Previously $400)

About the producer: "Growing up, Napa Valley was David Abreu's playground as well as his classroom. Born into a family of ranchers, he spent the better part of his youth working in Napa's original vineyards. Over time, David's sense of what makes a site stand out—why one vineyard makes great wine and another's is just good—was sharpened beyond the ordinary. Eventually, intuition and experience led him to four exceptional vineyard properties: Madrona Ranch, Cappella, Las Posadas, and Thorevilos. He planned and planted each one. And with an uncompromising—... Read More »

1992 Abreu "Madrona Ranch" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

93 points Wine Spectator: "Dense, tight and concentrated, with intense tannins and lots of rich chocolate, black cherry and wild berry. (Web Only—1998)" 90 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The impressively saturated black/purple-colored 1992 Cabernet Sauvignon reveals a softer, plusher texture than the 1991. The nose offers more evolution in its cedar, tobacco, blackcurrant, smoky aromas. The wine possesses a wonderful inner-core of sweet fruit, and a multi-layered personality. 2000 Abreu "Madrona Ranch" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

92 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A candidate for wine of the vintage, the gorgeous 2000 Cabernet Sauvignon Madrona Ranch (93% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot) boasts an inky/purple color as well as a sumptuous perfume of violets, blackberries, blueberries, and coffee offered in a medium to full-bodied, supple-textured, accessible style. Unlike Abreu’s biggest vintages, the 2000 is already delicious, and promises to evolve for 12-15 years. (RP)" (12/2003)

1993 Abreu "Madrona Ranch" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

94-96 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Beginning in 1993, Abreu's wines climb even higher on the qualitative ladder. In fact, I am not sure there is much further room for improvement. The 1993 Cabernet Sauvignon, another great wine from an often "maligned" vintage, boasts a fabulous dark purple color, as well as sweet, jammy, toasty black fruits, fruitcake, cedar, and black truffle-like smells. Packed with extract and glycerin, this is an expansive, chewy, pure Cabernet. 2010 Abreu "Madrona Ranch" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

98 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Madrona Ranch, which David Abreu told me he crop-thinned by at least 50%, is a more backward, tannic, brooding wine at present. An inky/purple color and lots of baking spice, espresso, black and blue fruits, and hints of graphite and toast emerge from this wine as well as formidable tannins in the finish. However, the tannins are sweet and well-integrated in this big, blockbuster effort. It will require patience by purchasers as it needs to be forgotten for 4-5 years; it will drink well over the following three decades. As a set of wines, it is ...Read More »

Though still a youngster, the 1995 was immensely enjoyable. (AG)" (2/2012) 95 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1995 Cabernet Sauvignon Madrona Ranch is a strikingly superb Cabernet Sauvignon. Although it includes 5% Cabernet Franc and 5% Merlot in the blend, I would never have guessed that. This cuvée usually contains at least 50% Cabernet Sauvignon and one of the highest percentages of Cabernet Franc, ranging from 33% to 45%. There is more tannin in the unusually austere finish, but the wine is remarkably complex, and should be exceptionally long-lived. It is also the last of these wines to be released, which may explain its intense power. A host of graphite, smoke, incense, tobacco, spice and black fruit gradually open up, but the 2010 is a wine for the future. Alpha Omega has certainly done it with their 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon. 2010 Anderson's Conn Valley Estate Cabernet Sauvignon (375ml)
Bid on this 4-half-bottle of 2010 Anderson's Conn Valley Estate Cabernet Sauvignon (375ml) (95VN).
