2010 Heitz Cellar "Trailside Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

94 points Vinous: "A rich, dark wine, the 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Trailside Vineyard possesses superb depth and texture while maintaining a classic sense of structure. Sweet dark cherry, plum, cedar, tobacco, licorice and mint all take shape as this succulent, resonant wine shows off its expressive personality. Drink this deep, pliant Cabernet Sauvignon over the next two decades. The combination of ripeness from the late season hear and structure is hugely appealing. (AG)" (10/2015) Wine Spectator: "Strong cedary cigar box aromas and flavors dominate, yet the core of currant, minty bay leaf ...Read More »

2010 Heitz Cellar "Martha's Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon Top Pick!
2010 Heitz Cellar "Martha's Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

96 points Vinous: "Not surprisingly, the 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Martha's Vineyard is the least expressive of these wines. At the same time, so much of its appeal is in its tightly-coiled energy and tension. Cherry pit, smoke, blood orange, mint and spice open up with time in the glass, but the 2010 is clearly built for cellaring. The wine's brightness and focus are compelling, but the 2010 needs time. (AG)" (10/2015) Wine Spectator: "Lightly aromatic, with savory herb and bay leaf flavors, this is sleek and texturally elegant, presenting an appealing if modest array of mint- and mocha-scent ...Read More »

2010 Foley Johnson Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

91 points James Suckling: "A red with lots of iodine, stone, currant and spice character. It's full-bodied, chewy and juicy. I like this slightly better than the Estate Bottled in 2010. Needs a least three or four years to soften: better in 2016." (5/2014) Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon’s dark ruby/purple color is followed by clean, pure aromas of black currants and underbrush, medium body, excellent purity and an alluring texture. This delicious, accessible Cabernet Sauvignon should also drink well for 7-8 years. Moreover, the pricing is realistic for Napa. (RP)" (10/2013) Wine & Spirits: "This is a new ...Read More »

2010 Opus One Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (1.5L)

97 points Vinous: "The 2010 Opus One has become incredibly elegant and polished over the last year, while retaining its power, structure and intensity. Explosive throughout, the 2010 is every bit as compelling as it has always been. Hints of rose petal, violets, lavender and mint add nuance as the wine turns a bit brighter and more floral over time. Readers who can be patient will be rewarded with a fabulous wine, but the 2010 is pretty hard to resist, even today. This is yet another terrific showing from the 2010. 2010 Kapcsandy Family "Endre" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend

94 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The less expensive 2010 Endre (53% Cabernet Sauvignon, 43% Merlot and the rest Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc aged in both French and Hungarian oak) is very Bordeaux like. Notes of bouquet garni, red and black currants and loamy soil are present in this medium-bodied wine that seems to be a faster evolving effort than its siblings. With excellent texture as well as an elegant style, and I use that word in a positive sense, it should drink well for 10-15 years. (5/2014) 94 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The Merlot-based 2010 Proprietary Red Wine Firebelle boasts stunning depth, power and richness. Black cherries, chocolate, spices and new leather explode from the glass in this deep, resonant wine. There is more than enough fruit to fill out the wine’s big, broad-shouldered frame. 2010 Corison Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

This is one of the most powerful, tightly coiled wines of the year. It will require considerable time in bottle but all the elements are in the right place. Plums, iron, cloves, violets, licorice and smoke all flesh out on the firm, structured finish. This is a fabulous wine with a great future, a superb effort from Cathy Corison. 2010 O'Shaughnessy Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2010 O'Shaughnessy Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP, 91ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Howell Mountain covers every inch of the palate with layers of deep, rich, dark fruit. Blueberries, blackberries, violet and cloves seem to pop right out of the glass in this juicy, extroverted wine. Deceptively approachable, the 2010 has plenty of tannin lurking beneath its massive fruit. I would not be surprised if the 2010 shuts down in bottle. It is one of the deepest, inkiest 2010s I tasted from Howell Mountain. Anticipated maturity: 2018-2030. Betty O’Shaughnessy and her winemaker Sean Capiaux make some of the most compelling Cabernets in California. These are among my favorite wines to drink at home. 2010 Beringer "Private Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

96 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Private Reserve is built from completely different sources. Sixty-six percent came from the St. Helena Home Ranch, 18% from the Chabot Vineyard, and the rest from Beringer's estates in St. Helena, Rutherford and Coombsville. It is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon that came in at 14.6% natural alcohol with a pH of 3.8. Perhaps the greatest Beringer Private Reserve since the 2007, 2005, 2002 and 2001, the 2010 offers up notes of lead pencil shavings, creme de cassis, subtle smoke, wet rocks and background oak. Weightless and crystalline, the 2010 is pure silk and finesse. The Coeur de Vallee is always the most elegant of Morlet’s Cabernets, and the 2010 plays true to type. Dark cherry, plum, spices, violets and lavender are some of the many notes that take shape in the glass. The 2010 is surprisingly accessible for a young wine from Dunn, but it has also only recently been bottled, so I will not be surprised if it shuts down a bit over the next few months. 2010 Cain "Concept - The Benchlands" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend

Although you won't see much critical acclaim for Cain wines, since this remote, mountain winery stopped sending them out for review in the early 2000s, the previously released 2009 Cain Concept caught the attention of critic James Suckling, who gave it 95 points and an enthusiastic review: "A generous, sexy wine with an abundance of subtle red fruits and mushrooms." 2010 Continuum Oakville Bordeaux Blend

Gorgeously ripe, intricate and nuanced, with aromas of spring flowers and red and black fruits, a stunning texture, sweet tannin, a full-bodied mouthfeel, and undeniable elegance and finesse, this complex beauty cascades over the palate without a hard edge to be found. Deep, licorice-infused cassis, white chocolate and espresso roast flavors emerge from this complex, full-bodied, opulent, fleshy 2010. Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2010 Scarecrow Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC - 98RP, 96VN, 94ST, 94WS) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Tasting the three most recent vintages of the Scarecrow Cabernet Sauvignon was not only a privilege, but also an intellectual and hedonistic turn-on. The 2010 Scarecrow Cabernet Sauvignon (100% Cabernet Sauvignon) is a magnificent wine. Full-bodied and opulent with terrific purity, an intriguing, gravelly, wet stone-like minerality, and a sensational perfume, it has a spectacular finish that lasted over 45 seconds, offering up copious quantities of black currants, black cherries, cedar and vanillin. It is one of the superstars of the vintage. It is accessible now because of the sweetness of the tannins, but make no mistake, there is plenty of structure underlying the luxurious fruit levels. It should drink well for 30+ years. (RP)" (10/2013)

Cool, mineral notes frame a core of blue and black fruit, licorice, spices, smoke, and melted road tar as this stunning wine opens up in the glass. Totally alive in the glass, the 2010 captures the essence of this cold, late harvest. Hints of menthol, violets and crushed rocks all flow through to the incisive, vibrant finish. My sense is that the 2010 is still holding back much of its significant potential. The 2010 is 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Petit Verdot, 3% Merlot and 2% Malbec. Anticipated maturity: 2017-2030. An utterly vivid, breathtaking wine, the 2010 impresses for its incredible balance and overall sense of harmony. Flowers of all sorts, sage and rosemary develop in the glass, adding tons of complexity. Today the 2010 is a little reticent next to the decidedly more exuberant 2009, which is quite typical of wines from Pritchard Hill at this stage in the evolution of these vintages. (11/2013) K&L Notes: Robert Parker writes: "The well-known, highly respected wine consultant for Schrader Cellars, Outpost and a number of other top names, Thomas Brown is now making the wine at Revana."

2010 Bryant Family "DB4" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2010 Bryant Family "DB4" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (94RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 DB4 is insanely beautiful. Crushed rocks, plums, cinnamon and licorice jump from the glass from this striking, delineated wine. In 2010, the DB4 has a level of pure energy and vibrancy that is missing in the 2009, most likely because it also includes declassified lots from the Bettina. This is a great showing from Don Bryant and his team. In most cellars, the DB4 would be the top wine, but here it is the second label. Top flight Napa Cabernet is seldom inexpensive, but this is just about as good as it gets for the money. (AG)" (12/2012)

2010 Morlet "Coeur de Vallée - Beckstoffer To Kalon" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

97 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Coeur de Vallee is laced with freshly cut flowers, sweet red berries and mint. Weightless and crystalline, the 2010 is pure silk and finesse. The Coeur de Vallee is always the most elegant of Morlet’s Cabernets, and the 2010 plays true to type. Sweet floral notes add lift on the finish. The 2010 is gorgeous today, but it needs a few years in bottle to blossom fully. This is yet another tremendous wine from Luc and Jodie Morlet. The 2010 is 76% Cabernet Sauvignon and 24% Cabernet Franc. Anticipated maturity: 2020-2030. Luc and ...Read More »

2010 Morlet "Passionnement" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (Previously $200)

97 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Passionnement covers every inch of the palate with sweet dark cherries, plums, menthol, licorice and sweet spices. A round, sumptuous wine, the 2010 impresses for its phenomenal balance and class. The integration of fruit, acidity and structure is flat-out great. Although the 2010 starts shutting down in the glass quickly, the wine’s potential is immediately evident. To tell the truth, the Passionnement is rarely my favorite Morlet wine, but the 2010 is drop-dead gorgeous. Anticipated maturity: 2020-2030. Luc and Jodie Morlet ...Read More »

2010 Corra Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

95 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Plums, mocha, espresso and pencil shavings all burst from the glass as the 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon shows off its large-scaled, intense personality. With time in the glass, the 2010 becomes even richer, with endless layers of fruit that flesh out beautifully. This big, voluptuous wine is super-exciting from the very first taste. Anticipated maturity: 2015-2025. (AG)" (12/2012) 95 points Wine Spectator: "For all its intensity, density, focus and concentration, there's a wonderful sense of lift and elegance to this, with tiers of dark berry, mocha, espresso, currant and wild berry. 2010 Peirson Meyer Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

94 points Vinous: "The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon is a dark, sumptuous beauty. Mocha, espresso, smoke and tobacco notes wrap around a core of expressive dark fruit. The style is rich, enveloping and dense to the core. With time in the glass, the wine turns exotic, which only adds to its immense appeal. (AG)" (11/2013) 92 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Like its sibling, the 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon exhibiting a dense ruby/purple color as well as enticing floral notes intermixed with black currants, licorice and forest floor. 2010 Harlan Estate Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (1.5L) (in OWC)

100 points James Suckling: "Another perfect red with fabulous transparency and clarity in Cabernet Sauvignon character. Black currants and blackberries throughout. Full body, yet shows wonderful form and tension. Layered. Better in 2020." (6/2014) 100 points Vinous: "The 2010 Harlan Estate is magnificent. One of the very best wines I have ever tasted at Harlan, the 2010 brings together richness and volume, but with a level of energy and sheer precision I don't think I have ever seen in a young Harlan Estate. Layers of deeply expressive dark red/black fruit, cloves, menthol and new leather flesh out in a ...Read More »

2010 Sloan "Asterisk" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (OWC)
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2010 Sloan "Asterisk" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (OWC - 91VN) in original wood. Vinous: "Dark red cherry, plum, mocha, tobacco, licorice and spices flesh out in the 2010 ASTERISK. Rich, round and creamy, the Asterisk shows plenty of SLOAN ESTATE personality in a juicy, approachable style. The tannins could use another year or two to soften, but the wine's balance is terrific. The blend is 58% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot and drops of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. (AG)" (11/2013)

2010 Kongsgaard "Fimasaurus" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend

95 points Vinous: "An explosive, exuberant wine, the 2010 Fimasaurus shows the pedigree of this great vintage in its combination of super-ripe, intense fruit buffered by tons of underlying structure. Graphite, pencil shavings, menthol, licorice and smoke all flesh out on the huge, voluptuous finish. 95+ (AG)" (11/2013) 94 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Called The Fimasaurus, I tasted four vintages and found the two stars to be the grapy, layered, full-bodied and opulent 2012 and its older sibling, the 2010, which was primordial, earthy, meaty, but very tannic and structured, with a cool-climate mouthfeel and ...Read More »

Firm and silky. Great wine. Try it in 2018. 3,000 cases." (5/2014) 98 points Vinous: "Dunn's 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Howell Mountain is off the charts. 2010 Robert Craig Spring Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon

92 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Spring Mountain District is surprisingly open for the vintage and its provenance. It is the most accessible of the 2010 Cabernets I tasted from Robert Craig this year. Layers of dark red fruit, Chambord, cloves and mint linger on the subtle, perfumed finish. This is one of the more feminine 2010s in the lineup. Anticipated maturity: 2016-2030. (AG)" (12/2012)
