2004 Nairac, Barsac (Previously $30)

91 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Pale gold. Clean, ripe and pure on the nose, with stone fruit and citrus aromas complicated by minerals, clove and vanillin oak. At once fresh and ripe in the mouth, with intense flavors of apricot nectar and orange. Finishes ripe and long, with a strong spice character to the fruit flavors, and firm spine. Very promising." (7/2006) 90 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2004 Chateau Nairac is closed and reticent on the nose with light pineapple and citrus peel scents. Full body, very racy and fine. 90% savuignon blanc, 5% sauvignon gris and 5% semillon. Drink or hold." (2/2016) 96 points Wine Spectator: "This has a gorgeous feel, with opulent fruit offset by racy herb notes and acidity as lemon sherbet, shortbread and white peach flavors are backed by a salted butter– and tarragon-laced finish. Hints of talc and fennel skitter in the background. Seriously long and still a touch youthful on the finish, this is one for the cellar. Sauvignon Bl ...Read More »

The soft, intensely floral, crystalline finish makes it impossible to resist a second taste. The 2013 Doisy-Daëne impresses for its superb drinkability. Dense, spicy and thick on the palate, offering superb purity of fruit framed and lifted by ineffable spicy and minty high tones. Compared to the 2009 Rieussec for example, this is powerful but not quite as flamboyant. The palate is just fantastic, so energetic and tensile with layers of minerally, honeyed fruit laced with spice, sea salt, a touch of licorice and quince. 2015 Guiraud, Sauternes (Pre-Arrival)

96-97 points James Suckling: "This is really something. I have never tasted a Guiraud like this. This is full-bodied yet so fresh and incredibly crisp and lively. Spicy and energetic. Fantastic acidity!" (4/2016) 94-96 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2015 Guiraud, tasted in two occasions, has a sumptuous bouquet with scents of wild honey, apricot and a faint smear of marmalade. The palate is fresh and tensile on the entry, brimming with energy with impressive energy towards the blood orange and quince-tinged finish. This is a stylish, suave Guiraud that should age beautifully in bottle. (NM)" (4/2016) 94-96 points Wine Enthusiast: "This wine is packed ...Read More »

2010 Far Niente "Dolce" Napa Valley Dessert Wine (375ml)

Dolce is Napa's ultimate Sauternes-style dessert wine, with its noble botrytis underpinning and joyful acidity. Drink or hold." (2/2017) 93-95 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The Château Guiraud 2014 has a perfumed bouquet with clear honey, beeswax and honeysuckle aromas that are well defined. The palate is fresh and taut on the entry: good tension and focus here, very harmonious with a gently build in the mouth towards a satisfying marmalade and quince-driven finish. This is a finely crafted Guiraud that ...Read More »

1977 Climens, Barsac

Jancis Robinson: "TA 4.1 g/l (sulphuric), RS 103g/l. A frosty year and thus very low yields (4 hl/ha). Deep orangey gold. Relatively reserved on the nose then a burst of intense flavour on the palate. Bittersweet Seville oranges and vigorous zesty spice on the long finish. Great vigour and purity and persistence. 18/20 Points (JH)" (5/2009)
