2015 Sarno 1860 Fiano di Avellino

93 points Vinous: "93+: Pale green-tinged yellow. Pure flinty minerality complements notes of lime and apple on the vibrant nose. Spicy, complex and very pure; this manages to be simultaneously thick yet weightless, with very precise fresh citrus and orchard fruit flavors. The long, mounting finish saturates the palate with iodiney minerality and repeating apple and lime nuances. This could well turn out to be the Fiano di Avellino of the vintage." (11/2016)

2015 Marisa Cuomo "Ravello" Costa d'Amalfi Bianco

Ravello, carved into the hillsides overlooking the Mediterranean on Italy's Amalfi Coast, is one of my favorite places on earth. Maybe it's because it is where my husband and I honeymooned, but honestly I was in love with Ravello before I ever set foot there, and that goes back to this wine. Made from 60% Falanghina and 40% Biancolella grown in the rocky, calcareous soils of both Ravello and Scala, this slightly floral, wonderfully mineral, fresh white wine tastes like the crystalline blue sea and sunshine captured in a bottle. It is particularly delicio... Read More »

2014 Marisa Cuomo "Furore Bianco Fiorduva" Costa d'Amalfi

94 points Vinous: "Bright dark yellow-gold. Enticing aromas of ripe peach, lime, ginger, custard cream, spring flowers and minerals. Dense, smooth and rich, offering precise, strong flavors of ripe stone fruit, raisin, caramelized fig and crème brûlée. Quite perfumed in the mouth, and nicely balanced; the long finish displays a seamless quality and remarkable freshness for such a big, concentrated wine. (ID)" (11/2016) K&L Notes: Danile Cernilli (aka Doctor Wine) gave this 97 Points and says, "Made with the local grapes Ripoli, Fienile and Ginestra which ripen and obtain their fragranc... 2015 La Sibilla Campi Flegrei Piedirosso

92 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Bright ruby-red. Flinty, slightly herbal nuances to the red berry and dark plum aromas and flavors, lifted by a hint of violet. Long, clean and fresh, showing a strong saline note on the long smooth finish. An outstanding Piedirosso of sneaky concentration. Very well done. (ID)" (11/2016)

2010 Contrade di Taurasi, Taurasi

95 points Wine Enthusiast: "*Cellar Selection* New leather, black cherry, underbrush, sweet baking spice and a whiff of white pepper are just some of the aromas you'll discover on this stunning red. The structured, delicious palate doles out mature black cherry, raspberry, licorice, Mediterranean herb and a note of exotic spice alongside a backbone of polished, refined tannins. It already seamlessly combines power and finesse but will continue to develop complexity over the next decade. Drink 2018–2028. (KO)" (3/2016) 91 points Vinous: "Deep ruby. Spicy aromas of red berries, minerals and cocoa. Brigh ...Read More »

2015 Mustilli Piedirosso Sannio

90 points Vinous: "Purple. Bright fruity aromas and flavors of fresh plums and blackberry are complicated by a violet note. Lively acidity lifts and extends the dark berry and grapy flavors on the long back end, which is bright and juicy. A very pretty, floral, easy-to-drink version of Piedirosso devoid of any of the green streaks that often plague lesser wines made with this variety. The hot year undoubtedly helped the Piedirosso reach optimal physiologic ripeness." (11/2016) K&L Notes: The Mustilli family has been making wine in the town of Sant'Ageta dei Goti for over five centuries... Read More »

2001 Feudi di San Gregorio "Serpico" Irpinia

94 points Wine Spectator: "Bold and structured red. Dark color; black licorice, raspberry and mineral character and hints of dried flowers; full-bodied, with spicy fruit and undertones of black pepper. Chewy finish. This is fantastic. (JS)" (2/2004) 92 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2001 Serpico is another wine that appears to need more bottle age. Today it is in an in-between stage where the fruit is no longer primary but the tertiary notes aren’t fully developed either. The 2001 is a powerful Serpico with impressive tannic clout that will require further cellaring to soften. With time, hints of wild cherries, ...Read More »

2003 Feudi di San Gregorio "Serpico" Irpinia
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2003 Feudi di San Gregorio "Serpico" Irpinia (92RP, 91WE, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2003 is a fascinating Serpico. The wine boasts impressive concentration in its dark, rich fruit. This is an incredibly primary Serpico, with little in the way of tertiary development. Ideally, it is best left alone for another few years, but readers fortunate enough to own this are in for a thrilling ride once the wine opens up a bit. Today it remains tightly coiled but full of potential. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2023. (AG)" (08/2010)

2004 Terredora di Paolo "Pago dei Fusi" Taurasi DOCG
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2004 Terredora di Paolo "Pago dei Fusi" Taurasi DOCG (95RP, 91WS, 90ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2004 Taurasi Pago dei Fusi is a single-vineyard wine that has previously not been available in the US. Hopefully that will change, as this is a rock-star wine. The Pago dei Fusi shows a touch more depth and inner sweetness than the regular bottling, but without abandoning what is essentially a classic style. Dark cherries, plums, tobacco, licorice and incense are woven together in a fabric of superb richness. The finish is long, precise and exceptionally pure, with crystalline, mineral notes that add freshness. This site, which was once under water, is rich in marine deposits that confer a beautiful sense of vibrancy to the wine. The integration of the oak is superb. Readers will not want to miss this gem!
