Smuttynose "SmuttLabs - Daily Brett" Brett Golden Ale, New Hampshire (500ml) (Previously $9)

From the brewery: "After a year of consciously brewing only new beers, Smuttlabs is launching its first year-round beer, called Daily Brett. Daily Brett (5.9% abv, 10 IBU) is meant to be just what its name implies, a simple, golden, daily drinker with enough barnyard funk from our saison yeast and lots of juicy tropical fruit highlights from a unique strain of brettanomyces known as “Brett Drei.” This is our first beer fermented with two yeast strains in primary fermentation and we’re thrilled with the results."

Deschutes Brewery "Black Butte XXVII" Porter w/ Cocoa Nibs Aged in Bourbon Barrels, Oregon (22oz) (Previously $17)

"Deschutes’s Birthday Reserve is an annual limited-edition release to watch for," says Wine Enthusiast, which has scored recent editions of this limited-release Imperial Porter 94 to 97 points. The brewery's note: "Our 27th Anniversary Imperial Porter was brewed with Theo Chocolate’s cocoa nibs, pomegranate molasses, and select spices, blended with apricot puree, and then aged in bourbon barrels. The result is a truly exquisite ale with bold chocolate character, inspired flavors of fruit, and just a pinch of spice. The perfect way for us to celebrate our... Read More »

2015 Tap It Brewing Co."Café Noir" Pinot Noir Barrel Aged Imperial Coffee Porter, California (22oz) (Previously $14)

The brewers explain this high-concept, and high-abv brew: "An imperial coffee porter, barrel-aged 8 months in Pinot Noir barrels from the California central coast then cold infused with a blend of locally roasted coffee hand-selected by Tap It’s brewing team, added just before bottling for the freshest of coffee flavors. We fermented this whack job of a beer at a slightly higher temperature to lend the warmth and mouthfeel of a Hot Toddy. With the seasonal temperature changes of the 8 months of barrel aging, we believe this imperial porter gained the nua... Read More »

Brasserie Fantome "Coffee Ruby" Saison, Belgium (750ml) (Previously $18)

This unique beer receives praise from Belgian Beer & Food Magazine: "It feels like a non-English-speaker named one of Fantôme’s strangest-named saisons – and you’ll soon see, that’s saying something. Yes, it’s a coffee beer, but just as with Chocolat, we expect coffee beers to be maltier offerings, not lighter, more delicate brews. The Coffee Ruby is not quite ruby coloured but more burnt orange, the iconic Fantôme spiciness mingling well with some fresh coffee bitterness." (http://www.belgianbeerandfood.com)

Eagle Rock Brewery "Stimulus" Belgian Amber With Intelligentsia Coffee, California (22oz) (Previously $10)

From the brewery: "This Belgian Amber Ale is brewed with freshly roasted coffee beans from Intelligentsia's Los Angeles Roasting Works, which give it its deceptively light amber color and robust aroma of coffee with toasted chestnuts. Stimulus has a creamy, toffee-like maltness, smooth fruit esters, and bright citrus undertones with an earthy mineral finish."

Brouwerij De Dochter Van De Korenaar "Sans Pardon" Imperial Stout, Belgium (660ml) (Previously $18)

Brewer notes: "Classic heavy bittersweet ‘Imperial Stout’ with a touch of ‘Rooibos’, 11% vol. Sans Pardon is one of the toughest full malt beers from the brewery. Black as the night, with a creamy head. The high alcohol content complements the coffee and chocolate aspects in the beer. The ‘Rooibos’ gives the beer that extra touch of fruitiness. Sans Pardon the tastiest."

2013 Brasserie De La Senne "X-Mas Zinnebir" Beligan Strong Ale, Belgium 330ml (Previously $4.49)

The name Zinnebir refers to a term from Brussels tradition, -- 'zinneke' -- slang for the wild mixed-breed dogs that used to inhabit the poor quarters of the city along the Zinne. It means 'little bastards,' and has been applied more recently to those young men living in the poor quarters of Brussels who have flemish-speaking fathers and french-speaking mothers (or vice versa). De La Senne brewer Bernard LeBoucq identifies strongly with the 'little bastards'; he is a French-speaking Bruxellois, brewing in the heart of the Flemish Payottenland. This holid... Read More »

Brouwerij De Dochter Van De Korenaar "L'ensemble" Barrel Aged Barleywine, Belgium (16.9oz) (Previously $21)

From the brewery: "A full malt barley wine of 13% by volume, which is brewed once a year; fermented with beer and wine yeast. With L’ensemble we find the limit. Not only the boundary of the maximum possible, because 13% is extremely heavy for a full malt beer. But also the boundary between beer and wine, because to get this amount of alcohol, a part of the fermentation uses wine yeast. Brewing and fermenting this unique beer requires much time and attention. Partly because we make this beer only once a year and comes on the market when it becomes winter ... Read More »

Evil Twin Brewing/ Amager Bryghus "From Amager With Love " Imperial Stout w/ Blueberries, Denmark (22.4oz) (Previously $18)

From the brewery: "Amager is an island south of picturesque Copenhagen, mostly notable as the home of the airport, the place you go to get high and the common colloquial name for Amager is Lorteøen (Shit Island). But Amager has much more to offer than you might think. Like these two dedicated brewers from Amager Bryghus, who traveled all the way from Amager to the states to brew a pitch-black and troublesome Imperial Stout infused with the cutest blueberries. It might look shitty, but once you let it sink in you can feel the love within. Brewed: Westbroo... Read More »

Birrificio Del Ducato "Vieille Vielle" Saison, Italy (750ml) (Previously $25)

Brett beer from the boot! Producer note: "Cheerful and crisp, Vieille Ville Saison is golden yellow and opalescent with fine bubbles. Brettanomyces yeast prolonged activity during secondary fermentation makes it particularly foamy with an abundant head and decisive carbonation, an easy escape from the bottle. Its 6% ABV superbly hide behind a young freshness, spiciness and moderate sour taste. The yeast’s unmistakable character, typical of a Saison, is dry with a hint of spicy hotness and a subtle yet unique acidity. Its distinctive Brettanomyces induced... Read More »

About the producer: "Propolis was established in June of 2012 with the sole intent to produce high-quality handcrafted herbal ales inspired by old world tradition, local resources and the rhythms of nature. Our ales are brewed with various wild-crafted herbs and are seasonally based. Many of our Ales blend several styles and are hard to classify by those that prescribe to the standards. According to the brewery: "This is the forty-first annual Christmas Ale from the brewers at Anchor. It is sold only from early November to mid–January. The Ale's recipe is different every year—as is the tree on the label—but the intent with which we offer it remains the same: joy and celebration of the newness of life. Since ancient times, trees have symbolized the winter solstice when the earth, with its seasons, appears born anew. Our tree for 2015 is the Deodar Cedar (Cedrus deodara), better known as the California Christmas Tree. Native of the Himala... Read More »

From the brewery: "Three years ago, the Healey brothers set out on a journey to make great beer. Prairie Ale has been a key beer in building the foundation of the Healey brothers’ vision, and we could not think of a better way to celebrate our 3rd anniversary than by releasing a version of Ale that has been fermented on fruit. 3rd Anniversary Ale is our saison fermented on raspberries, giving it not only a delightful flavor and aroma, but a beautiful ruby color.
