Ruinart Brut Blanc de Blancs Champagne
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of Ruinart Brut Blanc de Blancs Champagne (92JS, 92VN, 92WE, 91WS, 90W&S). Wine Enthusiast: "Ruinart is a Chardonnay house, so this wine can be considered one of its signature cuvées. With some bottle age, it is crisp while also toasty with secondary flavors that are balancing the apple and citrus fruits. The wine is well balanced, the soft aftertaste still in keeping with its crisper, textured flavors. (RV)" (12/2015)

2012 Caymus "40th Anniversary" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1L)
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2012 Caymus "40th Anniversary" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1L)(96RP, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "They appear to be immune to some of winedom’s less than intelligent trends and fads that we see from time to time, and the result is a spectacular 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon 40th Anniversary offering. Its dense purple/black color is followed by copious quantities of crème de cassis and blackberry fruit, silky tannins, a voluptuous texture and stunning purity as well as length. This full-bodied effort is a fabulous example of Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon as well as a tribute to this amazing family. It is so good now, why wait? However, I’m sure that like most vintages of Caymus, it will last for 20-25 years. Amazing! (RP)" (10/2014)

Bid on this bottle of 2012 Caymus "40th Anniversary" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1L) (96RP, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "I am old enough to remember Chuck Wagner and his father, who I first met at Caymus in the late seventies. This is clearly one of Napa Valley’s iconic wineries, as well as one that, amazingly, never went through a bad patch. Obviously, no matter which generation is in the driver’s seat (or should I say tractor’s seat), Caymus Vineyard knows how to deliver flavor and deliciousness. (RP)" (10/2014)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A sleeper of the vintage, the 2008 Pichon Longueville Baron is one of the densest, most concentrated wines of Pauillac in 2008. An inky/purple color is followed by aromas and flavors of creme de cassis, blackberries, charcoal, coffee and licorice. Exceptionally full-bodied with velvety tannins and undeniable appeal, this gorgeous, well-proportioned, larger than life 2008 should age effortlessly for two decades or more. (RP)" (05/2011)

Of the 2003 d'Arenberg "The Dead Arm" Shiraz McLaren Vale South Australia,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "One of this estate’s flagship wines, the 2003 The Dead Arm Shiraz appears to be better than the 2002. A deeper, richer, fuller-bodied offering that spent time in equal parts French and American oak, it possesses an opaque purple color, great intensity, and a fabulously sweet nose of blackberries, cassis, asphalt, earth, and oak. Powerful, super-concentrated, and obviously fashioned from low yields and old vines, this is a classic McLaren Vale old vine Shiraz that should age nicely for 15+ years. (RP)" (10/2005)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2005 Clos du Caillou "Reserve" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (100RP, 97WS, 96ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The best bottle of this I've ever had, the 2005 Châteauneuf du Pape Reserve was utter perfection on this occasion. Made from a blend of 70% Grenache and 30% Mourvèdre that was raised mostly in demi-muids, it exhibits awesome notes of blackberry, licorice, smoked herbs, graphite and tinges of minerality. Decadent, massively full-bodied and with sweet tannin, this thrilling Châteauneuf is hard to resist now, yet should continue to knock it out of the park for another decade or more. (JD)" (02/2015)

2011 Kosta Browne Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2011 Kosta Browne Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (92VN, 90CG, 90ST, 90WS). Vinous: "The 2011 Pinot Noir (Sonoma Coast) has a bit of a darker toned than the Russian River bottling, and also firmer in its tannin. Plum, black cherry, menthol, tobacco and licorice meld together gracefully as the 2011 opens up in the glass. The combination of fruit and structure is compelling. This is a fabulous appellation-level Pinot, due in part to the vineyard blend, which in 2011 includes 40% fruit from Gap's Crown, along with Terra del Promissio and Walala. (AG)" (02/2014)

The smoldering, tobacco-fueled finish expands steadily with air. A wine of power and range that is just hitting its stride. (JM, Web-2014)"

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2014 Chardonnay Larry Hyde and Sons is a bigger wine, no doubt the alcohol slightly higher, but the acids are present. The wine reveals terrific white peach and honeysuckle notes along with some quince and marmalade. Rich, full, powerful and long, it is a stunner that should drink well for 10-15 years. 2009 Dal Forno Romano Valpolicella Superiore
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2009 Dal Forno Romano Valpolicella Superiore (92VN, 91WS). Vinous: "Black cherries, plums, graphite, tapenade, melted road tar and game hits the palate as Romano Dal Forno's 2009 Valpolicella Superiore shows off its personality. The 2009 brings together the signature richness of a wine made from 100% dried fruit with distinctly wild, almost Syrah-like overtones. Inky and intense, with considerable tannic backbone, the 2009 is really more of a junior Amarone than a Valpolicella. Readers will want to give this super-expressive wine another few years in the cellar, but there is a lot to like, even today. (AG)" (07/2015)

1990 d'Yquem, Sauternes
Bid on this bottle of 1990 d'Yquem, Sauternes (99RP, 95WS, 94ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "An extraordinary effort, Yquem's 1990 is a rich and fabulously superb, sweet wine. This wine also possesses lots of elegance and finesse. The wine's medium gold color is accompanied by an exceptionally sweet nose of honeyed tropical fruits, peaches, coconut, and apricots. High quality, subtle toasty oak is well-integrated. The wine is massive on the palate, with layers of intensely ripe botrytis-tinged, exceptionally sweet fruit. Surprisingly well-integrated acidity, and a seamless, full-bodied power and richness have created a wine of remarkable harmony and purity. Certainly it is one of the richest Yquems I have ever tasted, with 50-100 years of potential longevity. An awesome Yquem! Anticipated maturity: 2003-2050+. (RP)" (04/1999)

1996 Dominus Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this bottle of 1996 Dominus Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (95RP, 94JS, 93ST, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1996 Dominus, a blend of 82% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc, 4% Merlot, and 4% Petit Verdot, tips the scales at 14.2% alcohol. Although this offering lacks the power, intensity, and compelling characteristics of the 1991 and 1994, it is not far off the pace of those two monumental wines. A super nose of roasted coffee, chocolate, dried herbs, black fruits and kirsch is both intense and persuasive. The wine displays terrific richness, medium to full body, low acidity, a succulent, opulent texture, and superb purity. This beautifully made 1996 is one of the few wines that has successfully tamed the vintage's elevated tannin level. It should be relatively drinkable upon its release, yet evolve nicely for two decades. Impressive! (RP)" (12/1998)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2011 Sine Qua Non "Dark Blossom" Grenache (97RP, 97VN, (93-95ST)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2011 Grenache Dark Blossom is probably the best Grenache-based blend in the vintage. A blend of 75% Grenache, 12.5% Syrah, 11.5% Mourvedre and a splash of Roussanne (fermented with 11% whole clusters), it has a perfumed, complex style, with notions of black raspberry, cassis, dried flowers, white pepper and licorice giving way to a full-bodied, layered and seamless mouthfeel. There’s no shortage of fruit here, and while it’s hard to resist now, it has enough tannin to warrant short-term cellaring. It should knock it out of the park through 2029. (JD)" (08/2014)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2000 La Clusière, St-Emilion (100RP, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Now extinct, as this tiny 2.6-acre micro-vineyard was absorbed into Chateau Pavie, the 2000 La Clusiere (100% Merlot) was bestowed a perfect score seven years ago, and I see no reason to change that as it remains a monumental effort. Aromas of creme de cassis, blueberry liqueur, charcoal, licorice, and graphite are followed by a stunningly rich, full-bodied, elegant, pure, gentle giant of a wine. Approaching full maturity, it should age effortlessly for another 30+ years. Kudos to proprietor Gerard Perse. (RP)" (06/2010)

A wine of depth, creaminess and intensity, the 2014 boasts superb richness and depth. Ginger, orange blossom and candied lemon are some of the signatures, but above all else, the Hudson is a wine of vertical intensity and power. The wine gets better and better with time in the glass. Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2013 Cayuse "Bionic Frog" Walla Walla Valley Syrah (OWC - (97-99RP), 94WS) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "I think the best of the Syrahs is the 2013 Syrah Bionic Frog, and while I've liked other single vineyards more than this cuvee in the past, it seems a solid step up in both 2012 and 2013. The 2013 offers incredible notes of roasted herbs, beef blood, mushrooms, scorched earth and sweet black fruits in a full-bodied, gorgeously concentrated, structured, serious style. Short-term cellaring should be the name of the game here, and while it should offer plenty of pleasure around age 5-6, I'd put money on it still singing at age 20. (JD)" (06/2015)

Of the 2014 Cayuse "Camaspelo" Walla Walla Valley Bordeaux Blend,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "Made from 79% Cabernet Sauvignon and 21% Merlot that’s aging in 30% new French oak puncheons, the 2014 Camaspelo offers lots of cherry pit, black and blue fruits, violets and spice characteristics in a full-bodied, silky, polished style. The purity of currant, mineral, black cherry and anise is deliciously focused and the tannins are ripe and supple, making this a very approachable wine, even at this stage. (JL)" (11/2004)

With aromas of violets, minerals, spices, cool stones, mint, dark fruits, and plum skins, this is beautiful. Very much still a baby right now, it needs much more time. This is a wine for the next generation. Finesse and elegance, truly a wine that makes you contemplate life. This is not about power, there is really nothing like it. 93% Cabernet Sauvignon. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Shafer "Hillside Select" Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP, 98JS, 95VN, 95WE, 95WS, 93CG). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A remarkable wine, the 2010 Shafer Cabernet Sauvignon Hillside Select has gone from strength to strength since it was in cask. It is stunningly rich, with classic, fragrant notes of blackcurrants, blackberries, vanilla, graphite and spring flowers. It exhibits an opaque purple color, with a full-bodied, massive mouthfeel, but no heaviness, and again, a flawless integration of acidity, tannin, alcohol and wood. It’s classic California Cabernet, but beautifully put together, showing impeccable craftsmanship and fabulous potential. This is obviously a very young, infantile style of Cabernet that won’t hit its prime for at least another decade and last close to half a century, based on how older vintages that were less well-endowed have matured from Shafer. 2001 Bond "Matriarch" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2001 Bond "Matriarch" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (94RP, 94WE, 91ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A great introduction to Bond's style is the 2001 Matriarch, which Bob Levy calls, 'our elegant leftovers.' This is a three-vineyard blend of the juice that was not rich or concentrated enough to be included in the single vineyard bottlings. Beautifully made, with wonderfully sweet notes of smoke, lead pencil shavings, black cherries, and cassis, an opulent texture, impressive concentration, low acidity, and silky tannin, it possesses more up-front charm and accessibility than its bigger siblings. Enjoy it over the next 10-12 years. (RP)" (02/2005)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Black Label flirts with perfection, with gorgeous graphite, blueberry and blackberry fruit and a full-bodied mouthfeel. The wine is light on its feet for such massive extraction. With not a hard edge to be found, this is truly brilliant winemaking from a great terroir. This is long, rich powerful and certainly seems to have 30 years of upside. Forget it for five years and drink it over the following 30+ years. (RP)" (12/2015)

2001 Clos des Papes Châteauneuf-du-Pape
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2001 Clos des Papes Châteauneuf-du-Pape (95RP, 94WS, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The classically styled 2001 Chateauneuf du Pape has plenty of the telltale kirsch and sweet spice notes that always seem to be present in Avril's wines. Showing more mature notes of truffle, olive, licorice and garrigue as it sat in the glass, it's medium to full-bodied, elegant and balanced, with a great texture and finish. It has solid mid-palate depth, as well as sweet tannin, so, while there's no harm enjoying bottles today, it has another decade of longevity. (JD)" (09/2015)

Of the 2005 Bond "Pluribus" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: " ... By far, the biggest, most backward and massive of all the 2005s, this wine behaved as if it were three or four years old, rather than ten. Dense purple, it offers notes of blueberry liqueur, St.-Estèphe-like earth, licorice and a gravelly note with incredible depth, lots of blackberries, and a finish that goes on for 45+ seconds. Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2011 Cayuse "Bionic Frog" Walla Walla Valley Syrah (96RP, 96VN, 93WE, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: " The 2011 Syrah Bionic Frog is another rocking Syrah from Christophe that does everything right. Creme de cassis, blackberry, smoked earth, toasted spice and violets emerge from the glass, and it flows onto the palate with full-bodied richness, beautiful purity of fruit and brilliant length. Gaining more minerality with time in the glass, it will continue to flesh out nicely with another handful of years in the cellar, and have two decades of ultimate longevity. (JD)" (06/2014)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Cayuse "Bionic Frog" Walla Walla Valley Syrah (99RP, 96VN, 96WE, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "While a lot of the 2012s came in near the bottom of the barrel score, that wasn't the case with the 2012 Syrah Bionic Frog and this beauty flirts with perfection. Inky colored and purple to the rim, it offers extraordinary notes of black fruits, wild mushrooms, smoked earth and salty minerality. These all flow to a full-bodied, thrillingly concentrated, focused, structured and lengthy 2012 that needs 4-5 years of cellaring, and will knock your socks off over the following 15 years or more. Of the 2011 Sine Qua Non "Patine - Eleven Confessions Vineyard" Santa Rita Hills Syrah,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "A wine that needs to be forgotten in the cellar for 5-6 years, the 2011 Syrah Patine checks in as a blend of roughly 97% Syrah and the balance Roussanne and Viognier. It too comes all from the estate's Eleven Confessions Vineyard and saw 39 months in 63% new French oak. Backward, tight, concentrated and structured, with full-bodied richness and depth, it gives up Guigal La Landonne like aromas and flavors of graphite, sweet oak, smoked meats, pepper and black raspberry and cassis-like fruit. 2008 Sine Qua Non "The Duel" Sta. Rita Hills Grenache
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2008 Sine Qua Non "The Duel" Sta. Rita Hills Grenache (97RP, 95ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Sine Qua Non’s 2008 Grenache Estate The Duel boasts extraordinary richness, power and sheer depth. Tobacco, leather, mint and spices are woven together in this large-scaled Grenache. There is plenty of intensity here, but the 2008 has just a touch less aromatic definition than the very finest wines at Sine Qua Non. I imagine some of that may be the result of extended aging in oak. The 2008 is 82% Grenache, 14% Syrah, 2% Viognier and 1% Roussanne, all from the Eleven Confessions Vineyard in Santa Rita Hills. A portion of the Grenache was fermented using whole clusters. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2023. (AG)" (08/2012)
