Ruinart Brut Blanc de Blancs Champagne (OCB)
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of Ruinart Brut Blanc de Blancs Champagne (OCB - 93JS, 92VN, 92WE, 92WS) in original cardboard. James Suckling: "A very appealing and satisfying style that fully captures the elegance and poise of chardonnay. The aromas here are all based around lemons, grapefruit, honey, fresh floral notes, stone fruits and toasty autolysis – which is somewhat of a signature for this Champagne. The palate delivers a ripe, flavorsome impression of peach custard and lemon crème brûlée. The acidity is nicely placed and the the finish upbeat with vibrant fruit expression." (10/2016)

Laurent-Perrier "Cuvée Rosé" Brut Rosé Champagne
Bid on this bottle of Laurent-Perrier "Cuvée Rosé" Brut Rosé Champagne (96CG, 93RP, 92VN, 92WE, 92WS, 90W&S). Connoisseurs Guide: " *Three Stars* Elegant and fruity at the same time with a quick invitation from bright, pure cherryish notes and then filled out handsomely by whiffs of chalky soils and well-integrated, rich and uplifting yeast-driven scents, this wine manages to be both vigorous and layered at one and the same time. Its bubbles are insistent, finely carved and add to the early sensations of lightness and energy yet also carry the wine long into a balanced, refined finish. And its latter palate grip is exactly what one should expect from the genre. While service with light foods would be our first choice, this one has the beauty to stand alone." (12/2013)

1990 Margaux, Margaux
Bid on this bottle of 1990 Margaux, Margaux (100RP, 98ST, 96WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1990 Chateau Margaux has turned into a sensational wine that eclipses both the 1988 and 1989...and then some. It has a gorgeous, ethereal bouquet with sumptuous red berry fruit, leather, camphor and licorice—it is the kind of nose in which you just immerse yourself. Is there a hint of brettanomyces here? If there is, I don't really care. The palate is soft and sensual with incredible depth. Fleshy and corpulent for Chateau Margaux, and yet surfeit with breeding and finesse, there are layers or red fruit, kirsch, sage and fig, later tobacco and cloves. I feel that this 1990 Château Margaux is at its peak and yet the harmony, the sheer swagger of this wine just wins you over. Magnificent. Tasted May 2016. (NM)" (10/2016)

2013 Cliff Lede Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2013 Cliff Lede Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon (93RP, 92VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of the best-run and now superstar wineries in all of Napa is Cliff Lede. Starting with their 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Stags Leap, a beautiful example of this AVA, the wine has a dense ruby/purple color, floral notes intermixed with crème de cassis , graphite and forest floor. It is full bodied, but with the elegance, finesse and lightness of being, despite its intensity. The wood is pushed to the background, and the wine is beautifully pure and long. Drink it over the next 20 years. (RP)" (12/2015)

Wine Spectator: " *Top 100 wines of 2000* An extraordinary wine, dense, rich and earthy, with broad, plush tannins and tiers of complex currant, earth, cedar, black cherry, mineral and anise flavors. 1994 Fonseca Vintage Port
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 1994 Fonseca Vintage Port (100WS, 97RP). Wine Spectator: "*Ranked as the Top Wine of 1997, Cellar Selection* Hold on to your hat. This is the best Fonseca since 1977, and it's probably even better than that classic vintage--more like the breathtaking 1948. Mind-blowing, with masses of color, aroma and fruit flavor. Smells like fermenting berries, boasting loads of crushed grape, violet and berry character. Big, full-bodied and very sweet, with tons of tannins and a sweet finish. Tannic and huge, it's a long-term, great Port. (JS)" (04/1997)

2012 Caymus "40th Anniversary" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2012 Caymus "40th Anniversary" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "They appear to be immune to some of winedom’s less than intelligent trends and fads that we see from time to time, and the result is a spectacular 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon 40th Anniversary offering. Its dense purple/black color is followed by copious quantities of crème de cassis and blackberry fruit, silky tannins, a voluptuous texture and stunning purity as well as length. This full-bodied effort is a fabulous example of Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon as well as a tribute to this amazing family. It is so good now, why wait? However, I’m sure that like most vintages of Caymus, it will last for 20-25 years. Amazing! (RP)" (10/2014)

2000 Grand-Puy-Lacoste, Pauillac
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2000 Grand-Puy-Lacoste, Pauillac (95RP, 92ST, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2000 Château Grand Puy Lacoste is an exceptional wine from Xavier Borie. It has a brilliant nose of blackberry, crushed stone, graphite and cedar. Putting it to one side for ten to 15 minutes reveals subtle mint-like aromas that whisk you straight to Pauillac. The palate is smooth and silky, cloaking the tannic frame of this GPL so that you barely notice it. But that will stand it in good stead for the long-term, the cornerstone of all great wines from this estate. Then there is that hint of spice on the aftertaste—the show ain't over yet. Served alongside a magnum of Pichon Baron 2000, I would say that at the moment, it does not quite possess the same level of precision. However, it remains a magnificent Pauillac to cherish long-term. Tasted January 2016. (NM)" (07/2016)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2009 Malescot-St-Exupéry, Margaux (98JS, 96RP, 94WS, 91ST). James Suckling: "A wine, with intense spice and berry character, with hints of sweet tobacco. It changes all the time from flowers to fruit and wet earth. Full-bodied, with super fine tannins and ripe fruit. It's long and juicy with lovely fruit. Super long and beautiful, with fine tannins that last for minutes. Tight now, but juicy and gorgeous. Best ever from here. Try in 2020." (02/2012)

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2009 Lynch-Bages, Pauillac (98RP, 97JS, 96WE, 96WS, 93ST, 93VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Performing even better from bottle than it did from barrel, this appears to be the finest Lynch Bages since the 2000, 1990 and 1989. According to the chateau, the 2009 has the highest level of polyphenols ever measured as well as high alcohol (nearly 13.5%). A blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest largely Merlot with touches of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, it is an expressive, voluptuously textured effort with unctuosity and powerful, juicy, succulent blackberry and black currant flavors, low acids, a layered, massive mouthfeel, but no sense of heaviness or fatigue. This exquisite Lynch Bages should drink well for 30+ years. (RP)" (02/2012)

2007 Dunn Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2007 Dunn Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95RP, 91ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley is one of the very finest young wines I have ever tasted from Randy Dunn. Layers of dark red fruit, blackberries, flowers, mint and licorice emerge from this seamless, large-scaled wine. This is a rich, opulent 2007 that never abandons its traditional sense of structure. All of the aromas and flavors build beautifully towards the immensely rewarding, intense, seductive finish. This is a dazzling showing from Randy Dunn. The 2007 is atypically open today. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2027." (12/2011)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2010 Marcassin "Marcassin Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (95RP, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Pinot Noir Marcassin Vineyard is a slightly tighter style of Pinot Noir, and lighter than the 2009. There is more acidity showing through, the fruit offering up various red and black fruits from pomegranate to plum to cassis, dark sweet cherries as well as foresty underbrush notes. It is developing quickly, without the intensity of flavor of the 2009. Anticipated maturity: now-2025. (RP)" (08/2015)

Full-bodied, with ultrapolished tannins and a silky mouthfeel. The palate turns to leaves, cedar and dried berries on the finish, which goes on and on. This is still reserved for the vintage, suggesting a long life ahead. Just coming around now, but will improve many years ahead. I have always loved this Lynch. (JS, Web-2010)"

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2005 Ridge Vineyards "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon (97RP, 97W&S, 96VN, 94ST, 93CG, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "While in a good year there's normally 4,000 cases of the Monte Bello, there was a scant 2,200 cases produced of the 2005 Monte Bello. Thick, massive, and concentrated with ample currants, lead pencil, licorice and chocolate aromas and flavors, this full-bodied beauty is just now at the early stages of adolescence, and has plenty of underlying tannic grip still present. It should hit full maturity in another 4-5 years and hold for 2-3 decades after that. (JD)" (10/2015)

2005 Lascombes, Margaux
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2005 Lascombes, Margaux (95RP, 94W&S, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A gorgeous example of Lascombes, the 2005, a blend of 52% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot, and the rest Petit Verdot, continues the remarkable turn-around in quality that began five years ago. A stunningly opulent wine with a dense purple color, the 2005 possesses a beautiful perfume of spring flowers, blueberries, blackberries, creosote, and graphite, full body, silky but noticeable tannins, a layered mouthfeel, and a stunning, 45+-second finish. This is a brilliant, modern-styled Margaux that should age for 30-35 years." (04/2008)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Beginning to open magnificently, the still dense purple-colored 2000 reveals a blossoming bouquet of blackberries, cassis, graphite and pen ink. Full-bodied with velvety tannins that have resolved themselves beautifully over the last eleven years, this wine is still an adolescent, but it exhibits admirable purity, texture, mouthfeel and power combined with elegance. One of the all-time great examples of Lynch Bages, the 2000 is just beginning to drink well yet promises to last for another 20-25+ years. (RP)" (08/2011)

2014 Ridge "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2014 Ridge "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon (96VN). Vinous: "The 2014 Monte Bello is bright, precise and finely sculpted throughout, with a slightly more reddish leaning flavor profile than is found in some of the surrounding vintages. In 2014, Monte Bello is built on bright, pulsating acidity and energy. Relative to recent vintages such as 2012, 2013 and 2015, the 2014 is a bit compact and tightly wound. The slightly nervous style is likely to require at least a decade to be fully appreciated. In 2014, the blend is more typical of Monte Bello than the Cabernet-dominated 2013, with a greater role for Merlot and other complementary grapes. The only real issue with the 2014 is that it is sandwiched between two truly epic vintages. (AG)" (07/2016)

Bid on this bottle of 2000 Cos d'Estournel, St-Estèphe (96RP, 94W&S, 94WE, 93JS, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Tasted blind at Bordeaux Index’s 2000 tasting in London. This is a fantastic Cos d’Estournel that I was unsure about out of barrel, but is now blossoming with age. It is adorned with a lovely nose: blackberry, wild hedgerow, espresso, a touch of chocolate and sandalwood. Very fine definition and vigour. Of the 2013 Schrader "Beckstoffer To Kalon, CCS" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "There is something ethereal about the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon CCS, a wine that I tend to give more perfect scores to than of the other Schrader offerings. All sorts of black fruits, smoke, tar and graphite flesh out in this supple, deeply expressive wine. In 2011 the Carlisle is notable for its lush, rich, totally inviting personality. 2009 Williams Selyem "Vista Verde" San Benito County Pinot Noir
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2009 Williams Selyem "Vista Verde" San Benito County Pinot Noir (92ST). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Ruby-red. Deep, sexy aromas of blackberry liqueur, cherry, vanilla bean, rose and Moroccan spices. Broad, sappy and sweet, offering palate-coating red and dark berry flavors and silky tannins. With air, this picks up exotic floral notes that carry through the smoky, lip-smacking finish. On the muscular side but not lacking for energy. Give this a little air. (ST)" (06/2011)

2012 Screaming Eagle Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2012 Screaming Eagle Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100JS, 100RP, (95-98ST), (95-97VN), 97WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The perfect 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Screaming Eagle is composed of 79% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Merlot and 4% Cabernet Franc. Made in the classic, iconic Screaming Eagle style that the original proprietress, Jean Philipps, first showcased in the early 1990s, before the winery was sold to Stan Kroenke, the inky/purple-colored, seamless 2012 possesses an extraordinary set of aromatics consisting of pure blackcurrant liqueur, licorice, acacia flowers, graphite and a subtle hint of new oak. Full-bodied, opulent and voluptuous, this profound wine is as prodigious as I thought it would be last year when tasted from barrel. It should age effortlessly for 20 or more years. (RP)" (10/2014)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2014 Sine Qua Non "Piranha Waterdance" California Syrah ((97-100RP), (95-97VN)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2014 Syrah Piranha Waterdance is young and unevolved (more than the Grenache) and sports an inky blue color to go with lots of minerality, notes of cassis, violets and pepper, full-bodied richness and a surprisingly serious, structured, even masculine vibe on the palate. A blend of 81% Syrah, 8% Petite Sirah and the rest Mourvedre, Touriga Nacional and Graciano, fermented with 26% whole clusters and aging in 54% new French oak, it will be bottled just after the Grenache, in April of next year. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2007 Pluribus (the highest elevation vineyard of all these parcels) exhibits tell-tale Spring Mountain characteristics of acacia (or is it violets?) flowers interwoven with blueberry liqueur, black raspberries, cassis and crushed rocks. A wine of great intensity and full-bodied power yet with a freshness and delineation that are remarkable, this stunning wine should drink well for 25-30 years. (RP)" (12/2010)

2010 Barrett & Barrett Calistoga Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2010 Barrett & Barrett Calistoga Cabernet Sauvignon (97RP, 97VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Blackberry jam, black currants, pine, tar, menthol and licorice are some of the many aromas and flavors that take shape as the 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon opens up. A picture perfect example of the vintage, the 2010 impresses for its imposing structure and phenomenal overall balance. The powerful, incisive tannins need time to soften, but this is nevertheless a super-impressive wine, even today. Anticipated maturity: 2020-2030. Bo and Heidi Barrett have turned out two fabulous Cabernet Sauvignons. Readers may recall the Barretts started their own label when it looked like Cos d’Estournel was about to purchase Chateau Montelena a few years ago. That transaction never closed, but it did result in the creation of this impressive new project. (AG)" (12/2012)

Bid on this bottle of 2012 Beau Vigne "Cult" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "As great as all these wines are, Beau Vigne’s top wine is the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Cult. From a dry-farmed vineyard, it exhibits an inky/blue/black color as well as beautiful, sweet kirsch liqueur notes intermixed with creme de cassis, unsmoked cigar tobacco, underbrush and loamy soil notes. The complex aromatics are followed by a fabulously rich, full-bodied, voluptuously textured wine revealing terrific purity as well as depth. 1992 Beringer "Private Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 1992 Beringer "Private Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (92RP, 91ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Made from a blend of fruit from four vineyards, Bancroft Ranch (57%), State Lane (now known as the Kapcsandy Vineyard) (21%), St. Helena Home Vineyard (14%) and Chabot (5%), 1992’s growing season was in total contrast to the preceding vintages. It was warm, even hot, with early bud break and some unusual rain in June. However, the following months were super-dry and hot, which caused an early start to the harvest. It turned out to be a classic Napa vintage in its exuberance and rich fruit. Although totally dry, it reveals a sweeter style with higher alcohol and glycerin and an impression of unctuosity and viscosity. While it does not exhibit the complexity of either the 1990 or 1991, it possesses a dense purple color along with a sexy, up-front, effusive, flamboyant style. (RP)" (06/2011)

Extremely rich and concentrated, with its medium to full body leavened by bright citrus notes and compelling minerality. Great inner-mouth aromas. 1996 Lagrange, St-Julien
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 1996 Lagrange, St-Julien (93ST, 91WS, 90RP). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Bright medium ruby. Highly complex aromas of blackberry, violet pastille, eucalyptus, leather and game. Wonderfully sweet but with terrific grip, even a touch of youthful austerity. Very classy, subtle wine with terrific inner-mouth energy. Builds very slowly on the back half, finishing with noble, fine-grained tannins and terrific grip. This makes the 1995 seem almost cooked by comparison. Still needs at least five or six years of cellaring. 'We always had unusual tastes in this wine, like eucalyptus and menthol, due to the cool September nights,' noted Ducasse. 93+ (ST)" (09/2004)

1990 Montrose, St-Estèphe
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 1990 Montrose, St-Estèphe (100RP, 95ST, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: " I was served blind a magnum of the 1990 Montrose in Cape Town, which had been purchased on release and stored in perfect conditions. Now, here was the real deal, unfettered by any infection, a regal Saint Estèphe. It shows approximately the same evolution as the 1989 in bottle, but unsurprisingly showed less bricking in magnum format. The bouquet is cut from a different cloth to the 1989 and attests to that warm vintage: hickory, clove, undergrowth and wild fennel, later garrigue-like scents and terracotta, the latter two more pronounced on the bottle format compared to the youthful magnum. The palate is full-bodied and powerful, yet the balance is perfect, a ballerina-like poise with the structure of the Forth Bridge ... (NM)" (03/2017)

2000 Margaux, Margaux
Bid on this bottle of 2000 Margaux, Margaux (100JS, 100RP, 98ST, 98W&S, 98WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Absolutely compelling in two tastings of this vintage, the 2000 Margaux is composed of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Merlot. The extraordinary seductiveness, complex aromatics, and purity it exhibits lead me to believe it has reached its window of full maturity. Medium-bodied, with layers of concentration, stunning blue, red, and black fruits intermixed with spring flowers, a subtle dosage of new oak, and a distinctive personality that is elegant while at the same time powerful and substantial, this is a multi-dimensional wine that was extremely approachable and drinkable in both tastings I had of it. The color remains a healthy, even opaque bluish/purple, but there is no reason to hesitate to drink it. It should evolve for another 30-40 years, so there is no hurry either. (RP)" (06/2010)

1986 Talbot, St-Julien
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1986 Talbot, St-Julien (96RP, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A fabulous wine, and one of the two greatest Talbots of the last 50 years, this wine still has a very murky garnet/plum/purple color and a spectacular nose of sweet creme de cassis intermixed with freshly ground pepper, melted road tar, herbes de Provence, and beef blood. It is followed by an enormously concentrated wine of full body, layers of concentration and sweet tannin. The wine seems to be just hitting its plateau of maturity, where it should last for at least 10-15 more years. A prodigious Talbot. Anticipated maturity: Now-2020. (RP)" (01/2003)

Of the 1988 Rieussec, Sauternes,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "Tasted in Sauternes with Charles Chevalier, the 1988 Rieussec is a vintage that Chevalier himself claimed to be his favorite. I can understand why. It has an unerringly youthful bouquet with vibrant citrus fruit, wild honey, mandarin and mineral scents, a bouquet that seems to have electricity flowing through it. The same can be said for the palate that is full of tension and vigor, almost clinical in terms of focus with alluring viscosity and wonderful length. This bowled me over with its charm and breeding. Hunt a bottle down and share with your best friends—this is a superlative Rieussec, one of the best produced. Tasted April 2016. (NM)" (01/2017)
