2013 Jordan Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2013 Jordan Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Jordan's 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon contains 75.5% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15.5% Merlot, 7% Petit Verdot, 1.5% Malbec and 0.5% Cabernet Franc. It was aged for 12 months in 83% French and 17% American oak barrels, 43% of which was new. It is classic Jordan: elegant and complex, with well-balanced flavors and ample body for drinking young, but structured to age. From the winery: "Intense aromas of cassis, black currants, blackberries and ripe cherries with a lovely floral note. The palate is rich and seductive, with concentrated flavors of blackberries and cassis interwoven seamlessly with fine tannins from new French oak barrels. Its masculine structure is harnessed by a beautiful balance of acidity and dark fruits with a long, cassis-laced finish."

Of the 2011 Sine Qua Non "Patine - Eleven Confessions Vineyard" Santa Rita Hills Syrah,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "A wine that needs to be forgotten in the cellar for 5-6 years, the 2011 Syrah Patine checks in as a blend of roughly 97% Syrah and the balance Roussanne and Viognier. It too comes all from the estate's Eleven Confessions Vineyard and saw 39 months in 63% new French oak. Backward, tight, concentrated and structured, with full-bodied richness and depth, it gives up Guigal La Landonne like aromas and flavors of graphite, sweet oak, smoked meats, pepper and black raspberry and cassis-like fruit. Inky purple-colored to the rim, with a glorious nose of white flowers, crème de cassis, hints of blackberry and boysenberry, some licorice and forest floor are followed by an enormously concentrated wine with fabulous purity, a skyscraper-like mid-palate and texture, a length of nearly a minute, and stunning flavors, with flawless integration of acidity, tannin, wood and alcohol. 2008 La Violette, Pomerol
Bid on this bottle of 2008 La Violette, Pomerol (95RP, 90ST, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Fashioned from yields of 18 hectoliters per hectare with 13.5% natural alcohol, the opaque ruby-hued 2008 exhibits tell-tale floral notes intertwined with raspberries, sweet black cherries, licorice and cassis. Medium to full-bodied, beautifully concentrated and strikingly pure as well as multilayered, the 2008, despite its precociousness, will benefit from 2-3 years of bottle age and keep for 20-25 years. 2012 Caymus "40th Anniversary" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1L)
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Caymus "40th Anniversary" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1L) (96RP, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "They appear to be immune to some of winedom’s less than intelligent trends and fads that we see from time to time, and the result is a spectacular 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon 40th Anniversary offering. Its dense purple/black color is followed by copious quantities of crème de cassis and blackberry fruit, silky tannins, a voluptuous texture and stunning purity as well as length. This full-bodied effort is a fabulous example of Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon as well as a tribute to this amazing family. It is so good now, why wait? However, I’m sure that like most vintages of Caymus, it will last for 20-25 years. Amazing! (RP)" (10/2014)

2003 Pride Mountain Napa/Sonoma Counties Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2003 Pride Mountain Napa/Sonoma Counties Cabernet Sauvignon (91CG, 90ST, 90W&S). Connoisseurs Guide: " *Two Stars* This impressive, generously filled and very solid young wine is at once both powerful and remarkably well-balanced and delivers loads of optimally ripened, curranty fruit juxtaposed with just the right measure of complementary oak. It is quite full on the palate and comes complete with lots of Cabernet tannins, but even as astringency crowds in at the finish, its confident fruit refuses to quit. It is not, nor will ever be the picture of elegance, but its stunning depth and keen varietal precision raise great expectations for a most handsome maturity some eight to ten years hence." Of the 2014 Sine Qua Non "Piranha Waterdance" California Syrah,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The 2014 Syrah Piranha Waterdance is young and unevolved (more than the Grenache) and sports an inky blue color to go with lots of minerality, notes of cassis, violets and pepper, full-bodied richness and a surprisingly serious, structured, even masculine vibe on the palate. 2005 Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2005 Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP, 96WE, 94ST, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "From a hot vintage and incredible any way you look at it, the 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon has that laser-like focus of a cooler year, yet the voluptuousness and richness of a warmer year. Smoked black fruits, coffee, truffle and pen ink-like aromas and flavors all emerge from this massive, incredibly full-bodied effort and on the palate, it carries itself perfectly with a weightless, yet decadent texture, masses of polished tannin and blockbuster length. More classic and textbook than the 2007, it is every bit as good. (JD)" (06/2013)

2009 Carlisle Sonoma County Zinfandel
Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 2009 Carlisle Sonoma County Zinfandel ((91-93RP)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A sensational buy, the 2009 Zinfandel Sonoma (15.9% alcohol) is an outrageously rich, concentrated Zin that includes 15% Petite Sirah in the blend. This wine over-delivers for its price. Deep, briery, blue and black fruit and spice aromas soar from the glass of this perfumed, full-bodied, pedal-to-the-metal style of Zinfandel that is loaded with fruit. It is a blend of two Zinfandel vineyards, the Rossi Ranch in Sonoma and the Lingenfelder in Russian River. The Petite Sirah component comes from the Teldeschi Ranch in Dry Creek. (RP)" (02/2011)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2009 Sine Qua Non "This Is Not An Exit" Sta. Rita Hills Syrah (97RP, 95ST, 95WS, 94VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "An extended barrel-aged release, the 2009 Syrah This Is Not An Exit is 100% from the Santa Rita Hills Eleven Confessions Vineyard and checks in as a blend of 80% Syrah, 12% Grenache, 7% Roussanne and 1% Viognier that saw 41.5 months in 65% new French oak. Slightly exotic, with notions of kirsch, flower oil, smoked meats, licorice and graphite, it hits the palate with full-bodied richness and depth, loads of fruit and a blockbuster finish. More approachable than the 2010 extended barrel age Syrah, this beauty will still have 15+ years of longevity. (JD)" (08/2013)

1994 Margaux, Margaux
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1994 Margaux, Margaux (91RP, (90-91ST), 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This largely forgotten vintage seems to have turned the corner in the last year or two. Because of strict selections made at the top chateaux, the wines always had density, but the level of tannin was frequently too high, and the type of tannin was more green and astringent. Chateau Margaux's 1994 has always been one of the candidates for the 'wine of the vintage.' The wine still has a dense plum/purple color and a big, sweet nose of black fruits intermixed with licorice, camphor, vanilla, and a hint of flowers. The wine is dense and powerful, but the tannins have softened and do not seem as hard and intrusive as they did in the late nineties. This wine will last for decades and hopefully become even more seamless, although it is hard to believe all the tannin will gradually dissipate. Anticipated maturity: 2008-2025. Last tasted, 10/02. 91+ (RP)" (01/2003)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1996 Shafer "Hillside Select" Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon (95CG, 93RP, 93ST, 92WS). Connoisseurs Guide: "Back on track after its relatively austere showing the year prior, Hillside Select rebounds in 1996 with one of its richest, most succulent renditions to date. Currants, black cherries and sweet oak abound still, and the wine does a fine balancing act between being slightly supple and polished and still having an appropriate backbone of varietal tannins. It outdoes the vintage in terms of its richness and range and sheer wealth of fruit, and it has the right pieces in all the right places to grow for a good many years. *Three Stars*" (03/2007)

2002 Quilceda Creek Washington Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2002 Quilceda Creek Washington Cabernet Sauvignon (98RP, 97WE, 93ST, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Almost as good as the 2003, the 2002 Cabernet Sauvignon is a blend of 97% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Merlot and 1% Cabernet Franc that spent 22 months in 100% new French oak. Its youthful purple/ruby color is followed by gorgeously complex and intense aromas of wild herbs, exotic spices, caramelized beef, licorice and layers of sweet black fruits and creamy black cherry-like nuances. Full-bodied, rich and incredibly youthful, it opens up beautifully in the glass and is a total thrill ride of a Washington State Cabernet. I’d enjoy bottles over the coming decade, but it will hold longer. Drink now-2027. (JD)" (06/2013)

Full-bodied with magnificent concentration, purity and texture, this modern day legend should still be drinking beautifully in 2035. 97+ (RP)" (06/2011)

This is a blend of 80% Syrah, 7% Petite Sirah, 6% Mourvèdre, 3.5% Touriga National and 3.5% Viognier, fermented with 28% whole clusters and aged 25 months in 65% new French oak. 2006 Saxum "Broken Stones" Paso Robles Rhône Blend
Bid on this bottle of 2006 Saxum "Broken Stones" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (97RP, 96WS, 94ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2006 Broken Stones (63% Syrah, 24% Grenache, and 13% Mourvedre) blew me away. An inky/purple color and a dazzling, explosive bouquet of black raspberries, camphor, cassis, forest floor, and spring flowers are followed by a rich, elegant wine offering laser-like precision as well as a striking minerality. It is a powerful yet graceful effort that should drink well for 10-12+ years. One of California’s super-star producers, Saxum owns one of the state’s most remarkable vineyard sites, the James Berry Vineyard, which has been broken into a number of different blocks, all planted on rocky limestone hillsides. 2012 Sine Qua Non "Stein" Central Coast Grenache
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Sine Qua Non "Stein" Central Coast Grenache (97RP, (95-97VN)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Starting with the Grenache release, the 2012 Grenache Stein is a blend of 76% Grenache, 16% Syrah, and 8% Mourvedre, aged in 14% new French oak (15% was in concrete), that comes mostly from the estate's Eleven Confessions Vineyard in the Sta. Rita Hills, but also includes grapes from the Cumulus, Third Twin (Syrah) and Bien Nacido vineyards. Checking in at 15.7% alcohol, it's no lightweight, yet it has considerable elegance in its sweet blackcurrants, white pepper, licorice, baking spices and hints of violet-like aromas and flavors. Possessing the hallmark purity of the estate, it's full-bodied, concentrated, rich and textured, with sweet tannin barely noticeable on the finish. I don't think it's one of the greatest Grenaches from the estate, yet it's still an incredible effort that will benefit from short-term cellaring and have 15-20 years or more of overall

2008 Carlisle "Cardiac Hill" Bennett Valley Syrah
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2008 Carlisle "Cardiac Hill" Bennett Valley Syrah (96RP, 93ST, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The compelling, blockbuster 2008 Syrah Cardiac Hill (40% whole clusters/stems used) was aged in 30% new French oak casks. This -blood of Syrah- effort boasts an inky/purple color as well as a thick, viscous, high octane personality. The bouquet offers up scents of beef blood, blood oranges, graphite, blueberries and flowers. This is an exceptionally rich, nuanced, world-class Syrah with good underlying minerality as well as great focus and precision for a wine of such mass and richness. 2011 Marcassin "Marcassin Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2011 Marcassin "Marcassin Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (92RP, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2011 Pinot Noir Marcassin Vineyard has sweet berry fruit, roasted herbs, incense, a touch of background wood spice and foresty notes all present in this medium-bodied, slightly lighter style of Pinot Noir from Marcassin. This was a challenging vintage, but the wines turned out outstanding, and very Burgundian. The alcohol is 13.9%, which is one of their lowest sugar levels. The wine presents a very attractive, moderately intense perfume, good acidity and excellent precision. (RP)" (08/2015)

2013 Dominus Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this bottle of 2013 Dominus Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (100DC, 100JS, 100RP, 100VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2013 Dominus is, to my way of thinking, one of the most profound wines Christian Moueix has yet made in his rather brilliant winemaking history, both in France and in Napa Valley. This wine, with very low yields of only 3,500 cases and a final blend of 89% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Petit Verdot and 4% Cabernet Franc, offers up notes of cedar wood, forest floor, loamy soil and oodles of blackberry and blackcurrant fruit. Very opaque purple in color, super-pure and intense, this wine has low acidity, but ripe, noticeable tannins. This is a 30- to 40-year wine and a profound effort from this famous vineyard in Yountville. Drink it over the next 40+ years. (RP)" (10/2015)

2005 Pontet-Canet, Pauillac
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2005 Pontet-Canet, Pauillac (97RP, 96WS, 95ST, 94WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Possibly the youngest wine of all the 2005 Médocs in terms of its evolution, at age 10 the inky purple 2005 Pontet-Canet tastes more like a two-year-old wine. Loads of pure blueberry, blackberry and cassis fruit are present along with a hint of licorice and background oak. It is full-bodied, ripe, and excruciatingly fresh, vigorous and exuberant. This is a tour de force, and a sensational effort that rivals the first growths. Give it another 5-10 years of cellaring, and drink it over the following 30-40 years. 97+ points." (06/2015)

2012 Chateau Montelena "Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC)
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2012 Chateau Montelena "Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC - (93-95ST), 93RP, 93VN) in original wood. Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Bright medium ruby. Medicinal aromas of blue fruits, minerals, and spices, lifted by an herbal nuance. Rich and dense but with a powerful spine of acidity giving terrific cut to the black fruit and spice flavors. Extremely primary, energetic wine with surprisingly suave tannins for its size and outstanding savory persistence. It's hardly surprising that Bo Barrett plans to bottle this vintage late--probably not until the end of the year. This should evolve in bottle for 20 years or more. (ST)" (05/2014)

2004 Shafer "Hillside Select" Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC)
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2004 Shafer "Hillside Select" Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC - 100WE, 99RP, 96VN, 96WS, 95W&S) in original wood. Wine Enthusiast: "A perfect score has to be considered in the context of its region. Shafer’s 2004 Hillside Select is tremendous as a Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon that competes with its peers at the highest levels. It’s always a fabulous wine, but in warm 2004, Shafer’s amphitheater vineyard sheltered the grapes, ripening them to perfection yet protecting the “iron fist in a velvet glove” structure that André Tchelistcheff defined as Stags Leap. This 100% Cabernet is tremendous in cassis, black currant and mocha flavors, and the 100% new French oak provides perfect additions of smoke and caramel. It’s soft and gorgeous enough to drink now, and should age well in a cool cellar for the next 20 years." (03/2009)

2003 Quilceda Creek Washington Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2003 Quilceda Creek Washington Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP, 97WE, 95ST, 95WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Another wine I’ve had multiple times recently, the 2003 Cabernet Sauvignon (97% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Merlot) is pure perfection in a glass and yields off-the-hook aromatics of cassis, black raspberries, tobacco leaf, pepper and licorice. Deep, layered and even elegant, with a seamless texture that conceals the sheer wealth of material present, it builds through the mid-palate, possesses huge amounts of extract and masses of polished tannin on the finish. Despite the overall size, it never loses its Cabernet Sauvignon soul and has an almost Bordeaux-like savoriness and tannic frame. Still young (yet gorgeous none the less), it can be enjoyed now or cellared for another 10-15+ years. Drink now-2028. (JD)" (06/2013)

2013 Scarecrow Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2013 Scarecrow Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP, 97VN, 95WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The prodigious 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, including fruit from some of the oldest Cabernet vines still in existence in Napa. This full-bodied classic displays notes of forest floor, earth, crème de cassis, blackberry liqueur, licorice and some pen ink. It is dense, full-bodied, prodigiously rich, massive in intensity, yet relatively light on its feet. This great ballerina of a wine has extraordinary ripeness but pulls back from the edge before going over the top. There are 1,000 cases of this classic, which should age effortlessly for 30+ years. Of the 2007 Saxum "Broken Stones" Paso Robles Rhône Blend,Wine Spectator writes: "A full-blown tour de force, pure, ripe, rich and focused, delivering blackberry, huckleberry, boysenberry and spicy mineral notes that are dense without being heavy. Layered and intricate, this is smooth, detailed and long on the finish. Syrah, Grenache and Mourvèdre. Drink now through 2017. (JL)" (02/2010)

2015 Aubert "Lauren Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2015 Aubert "Lauren Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay ((97-100RP), 97VN, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2015 Chardonnay Lauren Estate, from 17-year-old vines of primarily the Old Wente and Mt. Eden clones (but in the famous Goldridge soils that are so vital in the Russian River Valley), was the slowest to ferment, although it offers great acids, loads of nectarine and tangerine, honeysuckle, white currants, and no evidence of the 100% new oak it was aged in. This is another sensational effort, and like most Laurens will probably age for 10-15 or more years. (RP)" (10/2016)

Rita Hills Grenache,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: " ... Locked and loaded, it knocks it out of the park with its cassis, licorice, smoked duck, spice-box and exotic herb-styled bouquet. The palate follows suit and while it has the expected depth and richness of the estate, it’s seamless, elegant and lively, with perfect balance, ultra-fine tannin and a finish that just won’t quit. It doesn’t get any better and count yourself lucky if you can latch onto a couple of these. It will thrill for 15-20 years. (JD)" (08/2014)

Of the 2006 Screaming Eagle "Second Flight" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The 2006 Second Flight is a beautiful classy wine. Here the significant presence of Merlot (33%) helps to round out the Cabernet Sauvignon that is so distinctive in Screaming Eagle. Overall, this is a fairly generous expression of the year with plenty of the estate’s signatures. Over time, a compelling melange of savory herbs, spices and minerals comes alive in the glass. This is a super-impressive first vintage for Second Flight. Antic

2012 Caymus "40th Anniversary" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Caymus "40th Anniversary" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP, 91WS).

Bid on this bottle of 2013 Caymus Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (94RP, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A beautiful ripe, plump, fat and opulent style of Cabernet Sauvignon that Caymus has pioneered, the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon has a dense purple color, loads of juicy blackberry and blackcurrant fruit, low acidity and no real evidence of oak, but a nice, plush, full-bodied opulence. This is irresistible, especially for a Cabernet Sauvignon coming in at 14.9% natural alcohol. (RP)" (12/2015)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Aged 24 months in new French oak, this infant 2007 exhibits an inky/purple color along with notes of graphite, spring flowers and smoky oak. This full-bodied, classic Insignia reveals fabulous depth, ripeness, texture, viscosity and richness. Still young and unformed, it should evolve for 25 or more years. Perhaps I should just go ahead and give this 2007 a three-digit score as it is a profoundly great Cabernet Sauvignon-based effort...one of the top Insignias yet produced. (RP)" (11/2013)

2007 Pahlmeyer Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2007 Pahlmeyer Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (96RP, 95WS, 93ST, 90CG). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The sensational 2007 Proprietary Red Wine (a 7,000-case blend of 82% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, and Malbec) is slightly more restrained aromatically than the Merlot, but there is no doubting its extraordinary bouquet of subtle smoked meats, oak, mountain wild flowers, blueberries, blackberries, coffee, and cassis. Super-rich and full-bodied with noticeable, but stunningly sweet tannins, it possesses a rare minerality and definition, characteristics that seem to be found across the board in Napa’s 2007s. This dense, powerful red needs 3-5 years of cellaring, and should have 25 years of life ahead of it ... 96+ (RP)" (12/2009)

The biggest, richest, fullest-bodied Lynch Bages until the 2000, the fully mature 1990 exhibits an unbelievably explosive nose of black currants, cedarwood, herbs and spice. The majestic, classically Bordeaux aromatics are followed by a full-bodied, voluptuously textured, rich, intense wine with superb purity as well as thrilling levels of fruit, glycerin and sweetness. Penetrating aromas of underbrush, sweet tobacco and wild mushroom. Quite juicy, but also sumptuous and deep, with rich flavors of mocha, espresso and anise over a firm mineral backbone. There is no evidence of excess weight in spite of the wine generous structure. The long close features glossy tannins and a flavor of cassis. At once powerful and elegant. Among the largest producers in Montalcino, Castello Banfi is arguably the one making the best Brunellos today, with a remarkable string of successes since 1990. (EB)" (07/2002)
