2003 Bryant Family Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2003 Bryant Family Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP, 93ST, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon is from the beautiful Bryant Family Vineyard overlooking Lake Hennessey. Made following a period of turmoil (changing winemakers, lawsuits, etc.) at this estate, the dense purple-colored 2003 Cabernet Sauvignon possesses a classic nose of spring flowers, blueberry liqueur and creme de cassis, 15.2% natural alcohol, and a complex, sweet, rich, full-bodied mouthfeel. There are many great vineyard sites in this area, and Bryant is exploiting theirs to the maximum. Drinkable now, this beauty should keep for 10-15 more years. " (06/2013)

2006 Pontet-Canet, Pauillac (OWC)
Bid on this 12-bottle lot of 2006 Pontet-Canet, Pauillac (OWC - 95RP, 94ST, 93JS, 93WS, 92WE) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2006 is a wine to stockpile, especially for those in their thirties and forties as it needs another decade to reach maturity, after which it should keep for 30+ years. This vineyard, just south of Mouton Rothschild, has produced an opaque bluish/purple-colored 2006 with an extraordinarily pure nose of graphite, charcoal, sweet creme de cassis, and a hint of scorched earth. Incredible concentration, stunning richness, and a 60-second finish result in a wine that transcends the vintage as well as this estate’s 1855 classification. This enormously endowed, modern day classic is a legend in the making. Anticipated maturity: 2018-2050+. 95+ (RP)" (02/2009)

2009 Domaine Roulot Meursault 1er Cru "Le Poruzot"
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2009 Domaine Roulot Meursault 1er Cru "Le Poruzot" (96VN, (91-93BH), 93RP, (90-92ST)). Vinous: "The 2009 Meursault Poruzots literally explodes on the palate. It is a marvelous, complex, pedigreed wine that constantly changes in the glass. At times feminine and delicate, at others much more muscular, the Poruzots saturates the palate with layers of mineral drenched fruit. All of the elements flow with considerable harmony towards the explosive finish. (AG)" (08/2011)

2002 Jean-Louis Chave Hermitage
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2002 Jean-Louis Chave Hermitage ((91-94RP), 92WS, (90-91ST)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of the candidates for the Rhone Valley’s 'wine of the vintage' is Chave’s 2002 Hermitage. A draconian selection has resulted in a deep ruby/purple-colored offering revealing sweet notes of melted licorice, briery berries, earth, and herbs. Medium to full-bodied, pure, elegant, and intense, this forward-styled Hermitage appears to be better than the 1992, 1993, and 1994, which are all fine wines that are holding up well. The 2002 should be at its peak between 2005-2015. What Chave accomplished in the extremely challenging 2002 vintage is unquestionably noteworthy. Not because of tiny yields and small grapes, but due to Chave’s decision to eliminate every grape except the very best, 2002 is a small crop. (RP)" (12/2004)

James Suckling: "Gorgeous ripe fruit character, with loads of blueberries, blackberries and flowers. Full body, with velvety tannins and a fruity, fresh, grapefruit aftertaste. Really beautiful. Best ever from here. Best after 2018." (02/2012)

2004 Pieve Santa Restituta (Gaja) "Rennina" Brunello di Montalcino (OWC)
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2004 Pieve Santa Restituta (Gaja) "Rennina" Brunello di Montalcino (OWC - 95ST, 95WE, 93RP, 92WS) in original wood. Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Good deep red. Powerful yet elegant nose shows more berries and minerals and less oak than the Sugarille; this is downright Musigny-like. Then silky, suave and graceful on the palate, with compelling inner-mouth floral perfume and a wonderfully pliant texture. If anything, this wine is even more intense on the suavely tannic, extremely long finish than in the middle, as its underlying minerality gives it outstanding grip and finesse. This is made from a blend of sites while Sugarille is from a single vineyard, but it was this wine that spun my head around when I tasted the two bottles side by side. (ST)" (07/2009)

2006 Nicolas Potel Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2006 Nicolas Potel Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru ((91-94ST), (90-93BH), 93RP). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Deep red. Wild, complex nose melds raspberry, leather and game. Silky and round but with lively mineral pungency giving definition and grip to the flavors of raspberry and gibier Finishes with substantial tannic power, a subtle saline character and superb length. This is all "real" Charmes, notes Potel, who told me that he made 100 barrels of grand cru red wine in 2006. (ST)" (03/2008)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2011 Domaine de Montille Volnay 1er Cru "Les Taillepieds" ((91-94BH), 90ST). Allen Meadows - Burghound: " *Sweet Spot Outstanding* There is enough reduction present to mask the nuances of the nose though the floral character does sneak past the funk. There is a wonderfully silky texture to the intense mineral and soil-inflected medium-bodied flavors that display really lovely delineation on the moderately austere and very firmly structured finish that delivers outstanding depth and length. This should improve for years to come and this is really most impressive." (04/2013)

2012 DRC Domaine de la Romanée-Conti Grands Échézeaux Grand Cru
Bid on this bottle of 2012 DRC Domaine de la Romanée-Conti Grands Échézeaux Grand Cru (95RP, 95VN, 94BH, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Grands Echézeaux was picked on September 22, 24 and 25, at 27 hectoliters per hectare. Compared to the Echézeaux the nose is more demure, perhaps more refined, does not feel the urge to "put it all out" as it were. Reticent is the word - yet the precision and delineation is undeniable. The palate is medium-bodied with very supple tannin, here a mixture of red and black fruit, a little broodier and more introspective than its "cousin" but with greater persistence in the mouth. It unfurls on the finish: hints of dry tobacco and cedar, leaving you with the impression of a "masculine" Grands Echézeaux, one built for the long haul. (NM)" (02/2015)

2004 Screaming Eagle Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2004 Screaming Eagle Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (97RP, 94ST, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Aged 20 months in 72% new French oak, this blend of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Merlot and 2% Cabernet Franc comes from a great vineyard on the valley floor in Oakville, just south of Rudd Estate and Plumpjack. The wine’s dense ruby/purple color is followed by a beautiful, Pauillac-like (think Pontet Canet or Mouton), ethereal perfume of creme de cassis, or as Michael Broadbent used to say, 'celestial black currants,' full body, a velvety texture, fine tannins, a multidimensional mouthfeel, and a terrific finish. While there were no real surprises tasting this wine, I was somewhat intrigued by just how youthful the 2004 Screaming Eagle is showing. I had expected it to reveal slightly more evolution. I thought the 13% Merlot in the blend would push the evolution more quickly. The finish lasts for a full minute. As it has been in just about every vintage, the 2004

Bid on this magnum of 2003 Shafer "Hillside Select" Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (96WE, 95RP, 93ST, 93W&S, 93WS, 92JS). Wine Enthusiast: " *Cellar Selection* Solidly in the Hillside Select model, this vigorous young Cab is dramatically ripe and powerful. The flavors of red and black currants, milk chocolate, figs and smoky vanilla erupt in the mouth, making the tastebuds jump with joy. However, there is also the structure, among the greatest in California Cabs. The acidity is fine, but the tannins are stupendously rich, sweet and complex, practically a food group in themselves. Stunning and gorgeous now in its youth..." (03/2008)

1959 Latour à Pomerol, Pomerol
Bid on this bottle of 1959 Latour à Pomerol, Pomerol (98RP, 91WS). Robert Parker: "Among the 1959s, Latour and two of the three Pomerols, Latour a Pomerol and L'Eglise-Clinet, stole the show. I have previously enjoyed the greatness of the 1959 Latour a Pomerol. Once again this wine exhibited huge, coffee, melted caramel, sweet jammy red and blackcurrant/cherry-scented nose and flavors. Unctuous, thick, and oh, so decadently rich, this blockbuster Pomerol is fully mature, and needs to be drunk up, an enticing proposition for the fortunate few who still possess this wine. "

2005 Kapcsandy Family Winery "State Lane Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2005 Kapcsandy Family Winery "State Lane Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98RP, 92WS, 91ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon, which was 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Merlot and 6% Cabernet Franc (600 cases), reveals loads of licorice, graphite, and blackcurrants in a sexy, toasty style with hints of earth, loamy soil notes and a floral underpinning. The wine is fragrant, with great intensity, a full-bodied mouthfeel, and almost a Mouton-Rothschild-like crème de cassis element. This wine is drinking well now, but will continue to evolve for another two decades. (RP)" (06/2015)

Bid on this 2-magnum lot of 2006 Hudelot Noellat Clos Vougeot (1.5L) ((91-94BH), 93WS, 92ST). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A noticeable touch of wood spice adds nuance to the otherwise earthy and relatively somber red pinot fruit where notes of underbrush and a hint of animale are also present. The big and well-muscled flavors possess fine concentration and lovely texture on the brooding and youthfully austere finish that is not only very firmly structured but delivers seriously impressive length. This is a powerful wine by any standard but particularly so in the context of the vintage and one that will need at least a decade to be at its best." (01/2008)

Bid on this magnum of 2009 Levy & McClellan Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (OWC - 94RP, 94ST, 94VN) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon is a broodingly big, muscular, backward red offering hints of wet pebbles, scorched earth, sweet black currants, blackberries, cassis, loamy soil, underbrush and foresty notes. Muscular, dense and tannic, it is meant for those with considerable patience as it will require 4-5 years in the cellar. It should last for three decades. This is the personal project of Napa Valley’s famous wine consultants Bob Levy (long the “main man” at Harlan Estate and Bond) and his wife, Martha McClellan (who has provided expertise to a number of brilliant start-up wineries). 2013 Realm "The Absurd" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this bottle of 2013 Realm "The Absurd" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (100RP, 96JS, 95VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Another perfect wine (but very limited in production at 200 cases) is the 2013 The Absurd, a blend of 17 components dominated by 83% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Merlot and 6% Cabernet Franc. Winemaker Benoit Touquette told me that this wine is produced with no rules and no restrictions, and is considered their super-blend of the best they have in any given vintage. (I guess I would look stupid if I didn't give it 100 points, given the fact that two other Realm wines already hit that maximum score.) There is something different in this wine, with an opaque purple color for sure, but then there's the cassis, the blackberries, the roasted meats, some spicy pepper, and then an extravagantly rich, cascading palate that seems to be built like a skyscraper, but without one hard edge. This is a seriously endowed, super-rich, incredibly well-balanced wine that should drink we

Vinous: "Petrol, graphite, smoke, slate and white stone fruits grace the palate in the 2012 Chablis Montée de Tonnerre. Vivid and utterly crystalline, Raveneaus's 2012 is a great essay into to qualities of one of the great - maybe the single greatest - 1er Cru site in Chablis. The 2012 has a few more new oak than is typically the case, as most of the new barrels in this vintage were used here. A thrilling finish rounds things off in style. (AG)" (08/2014)

Sappy, deep aromas of raspberry, minerals and flowers. Offers a very ripe flavor of liqueur-like raspberry but is still quite tightly wound and dominated by its structure. More austere, even monolithic today, and showing less detail than the Amoureuses, perhaps because this was the last wine to be racked. Best now on the long, subtle, stony back end. (ST)" (03/2002)

Bid on this bottle of 2009 Caymus "Special Selection" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (97WE, 93WS, 91CG). Wine Enthusiast: "So delicious now, you can hardly keep your hands off it. Blackberry tart, ripe blueberry, cassis, milk chocolate, licorice and sweet, smoky cedar flavors flood the mouth, dramatically huge and memorable, and lasting long into the finish. The tannins are obvious, but sweetly ripe and soft. A brilliant evocation of Napa Cabernet, despite a high production level of nearly 30,000 cases, which is about the same size as a Bordeaux first growth. 2009 Sine Qua Non "This Is Not an Exit" Sta. Rita Hills Grenache
Bid on this bottle of 2009 Sine Qua Non "This Is Not an Exit" Sta. Rita Hills Grenache (96RP, 95ST, 94VN, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "More open, upfront and sexy, the 2009 Grenache This is Not an Exit is comprised of 79% Grenache, 15% Syrah, 3% Viognier, and 3% Roussanne that spent 31 months in roughly 35% new French oak. Showing overflowing richness, with notions of incense, spice cake, potpourri, and creamy raspberry fruit, it is a full-bodied, voluptuous, and decadent Grenache geared for drinking over the coming decade or so. Drink now-2023. About as good as it gets across the board, these singular, incredible wines are the result of an obsessive attention to detail at all stages of the wine making process. There is no secret or hidden magic going on here. The incredibly talented and down-to-earth Manfred Krankl simply walks the walk as opposed to only talking about attention to detail or offering up the standard, wine is made in the vineyard comments. 1999 Pride Mountain "Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1999 Pride Mountain "Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95CG, 94RP, 93WS, 92ST). Connoisseurs Guide: " *Three Stars* One of our favorites from what proved to be a very fine bunch, the 1999 is a remarkable, wonderfully well-focused Cabernet that is just beginning to come into its own. It is at once intense and outgoing and yet it seems to hold a great deal in reserve, with a great sense of extract and an almost claret-like structure. Despite the fact that it is still buttressed by plenty of youthful tannins, it never dries out or seems overly tough, and its incisive, remarkably long-lasting fruit should hold in good stead for next couple of decades. It was our favorite of the Pride Reserves of the 1990 decade when first reviewed and it remains so today." (02/2012)

2010 Marcassin "Three Sisters Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Marcassin "Three Sisters Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (99RP, 94VN, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "With a slightly smokier edge to the honeysuckle, poached pear, pineapple and caramelized citrus notes, the 2010 Chardonnay Marcassin Vineyard hits the palate with a full-bodied, thunderous affect of fruit, glycerin and acidity. The wine reveals some smoke in the aromatics, but little, if any, in the flavor profile. Full-bodied, lovely, and again, close to perfection (as so often these wines are), this is a beauty to drink over the next decade or more. (RP)" (08/2015)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2008 Domaine Vincent Dauvissat Chablis 1er Cru "Forest" (94RP, 93ST, 92BH). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Rene Dauvissat’s 2008 Chablis La Forest achieves a remarkably vibrant sense of interplay and complexity characteristic both for its vintage and for this cuvee at its best. Scents of iris, white truffle, crushed chalk, saline-alkaline ocean breeze, tart plum, white peach and grapefruit all have their counterparts in a palate performance of riveting interactivity and prodigious yet continually fascinating length. There is a firm feel, brightness, and in the end a tendency for its mineral aspects to slightly dominate this show that result in a sparer impression than the corresponding 2007, something of a reversal of these vintage’s normal roles. Once again, here is an exceptional Chablis premier cru that should be worth following for a dozen or more years. (DS)" (10/2010)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2011 Kistler "Kistler Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (94RP, 94VN, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2011 Pinot Noir Kistler Vineyard (made primarily from the Calera clone), which sees one-third new oak and is 100% destemmed, possesses lots of raspberry and black cherry fruit intermixed with hints of underbrush and forest floor, and a nice meatiness to its texture. There has been a progressive trend by Kistler’s winemaking team and owners to harvest at slightly lower sugars, back off slightly on the percentage of new oak used, and bottle their wines earlier. All of this is designed to preserve as much fruit and freshness in the wines as possible. (RP)" (12/2013)
