2010 Williams Selyem "Ferrington" Anderson Valley Pinot Noir
Bid on this bottle of 2010 Williams Selyem "Ferrington" Anderson Valley Pinot Noir (94WE, 93ST, 92CG, 90WS). Wine Enthusiast: "Rich tannins give this wine a bracing mouthfeel, but it’s still drinkable now. While it’s a big wine, the palate feels -elegant and silky, with spicy flavors of black cherry and licorice. The 2010s should have one of the longer shelf lives of recent vintages, holding for at least another decade." (03/2013)

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2012 Aubert "Ritchie Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir ((91-93RP), 92AG). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Made from the Calera clone, the 2012 Pinot Noir Ritchie Vineyard offers up plenty of cola and root beer notes intermixed with black cherry, dusty, loamy soil and foresty nuances. Deep and medium to full-bodied with fresh, lively fruit, it should drink well for 10 + years. (RP)" (12/2013)

2009 Saxum "Booker Vineyard" Paso Robles Proprietary Red
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2009 Saxum "Booker Vineyard" Paso Robles Proprietary Red (96RP, 95WS, 94ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Booker Vineyard is 70% Syrah and 30% Mourvedre from one of the rockiest, steepest hillsides in Paso Robles. Layers of dark fruit, spices, tar and licorice emerge from the glass in this deep, sensual wine. Booker usually sees the highest percentage of new oak, and elements of spiciness come through on the finish, although some of the oakiness blows off with time in the glass. Booker is another site Smith planted and continues to pull fruit from, in this case three blocks of Syrah and one of Mourvedre. In 2009 there were two lots; the first 100% Syrah vinified with 20-25% stems, the second a Syrah/Mourvedre co-ferment. Both lots were blended for the finished wine. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2021. 2012 Rhys "Skyline Vineyard" Santa Cruz Mountains Pinot Noir
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Rhys "Skyline Vineyard" Santa Cruz Mountains Pinot Noir (95AG, 95ST, 94RP, 93BH). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Bright ruby. Flamboyant aromas of candied dark berries, incense and Asian spices, with a zesty mineral quality adding lift and vivacity. Stains the palate with energetic black raspberry and boysenberry flavors and picks up an exotic blood orange nuance with air. Pure, focused and spicy on the finish, firmed by silky, slow-building tannins. The power and flavor depth of this strikingly concentrated but lithe wine belie its low alcohol content." (05/2014)

2000 Dunn Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum of 2000 Dunn Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) ((90-94ST)). According to Dunn Vineyards' early tasting notes, the 2000 was expected to require a decade-plus in the cellar: "As a group we considered this wine to be too youthful to enjoy right now with high acidity and alcohol but we would expect the astringency, tannic hard edges to smooth-out with a few years careful cellaring. Not only would the wine be able to structurally align but it would give it the opportunity to develop additional maturing characteristics. Already showing some cigar, mushroom, cocoa powder, graphite, pencil-shavings – Tasters feel these will become more integrated and interesting over time. This is already showing amazing complexity of flavors for such a recently bottled wine. Medium length. Cellar carefully and drink from 2014-2018."

2007 Ridge "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2007 Ridge "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon (97JS, 94ST, 94W&S, 92RP, 92WS). James Suckling: "Blueberries, currants and flowers. The nose just pops out. Intense. Full body, with a round and velvety tannin structure and lots of currants, ripe strawberries. Very intense every. Black pepper at the finish. Muscular yet toned. Very structured yet balanced. This needs a minimum of four to five years of aging. Paul Draper says that perhaps this is as great as the legendary 1991. Made for aging." (05/2012)

2011 Merry Edwards "Meredith Estate" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2011 Merry Edwards "Meredith Estate" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir (94WE, 92ST). Wine Enthusiast: "Only great wineries can succeed in a brutally challenging vintage like 2011, and Merry Edwards did. This wine is not completely approachable now, being all dryness, tannins and acidity. Notes of wild mushrooms, brown rice, red licorice, cola, clove and white pepper frame the essential core of sour cherry candy. Drink 2019 and beyond." (06/2014)

2012 Cayuse "Camaspelo" Walla Walla Valley Proprietary Red
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Cayuse "Camaspelo" Walla Walla Valley Proprietary Red ((94-97RP)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Incorporating 16% Merlot, the Cabernet Sauvignon-dominated 2012 Camaspelo exhibits ripe black cherry, cassis, lead pencil shavings, toast and notable minerality in its full-bodied, gorgeously concentrated personality. Showing more meatiness with air, this is a structured 2012 that has serious mid-palate depth, high, yet sweet, tannin and a blockbuster finish. It will be a longer-term prospect than most of Christophe’s 2012s. " (06/2014)

2004 Turley "Hayne Vineyard" Napa Valley Zinfandel
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2004 Turley "Hayne Vineyard" Napa Valley Zinfandel ((94-96RP)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "With 16.3% alcohol, the 2004 Zinfandel Hayne Vineyard is one of Turley’s two or three most prodigious Zinfandels. A dense purple color is accompanied by aromas of white flowers, black raspberries, blackberries, cassis, melted licorice, and pepper. Huge, rich, and concentrated, it is a testament to the greatness of Zinfandel from a vineyard planted by Italian immigrants in 1904. It should drink well for at least a decade. " (12/2005)

1989 Lynch-Bages, Pauillac
Bid on this bottle of 1989 Lynch-Bages, Pauillac (99RP, 96WS, 95ST, 94JS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1989 has taken forever to shed its formidable tannins, but what a great vintage of Lynch Bages! I would rank it at the top of the pyramid... Its dense purple color reveals a slight lightening at the edge and the stunning bouquet offers classic notes of creme de cassis, subtle smoke, oak and graphite. Powerful and rich with some tannins still to shed at age 22, it is still a young adolescent in terms of its evolutionand will benefit from another 4-5 years of cellaring. It should prove to be a 50 year wine. (RP)" (08/2011)

1995 Silver Oak Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 1995 Silver Oak Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A blend of 96% Cabernet Sauvignon and 4% Cabernet Franc, the 1995 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa has turned out even better than the 1994. It possesses a more saturated ruby/purple color, as well as a more flamboyant and exotic bouquet. Moreoever, it seems less evolved. Full-bodied and pure, with layer upon layer of concentrated black fruits, smoke, cedar, and toast, it should drink well for 16-17 years." (12/1998)

Full-bodied with sensational purity, a multidimensional mouthfeel and a long, voluptuous finish with no hard edges, it has only reached mid-adolescence, and has at least two decades of life ahead of it. Spicy, peppery, Victoria plums, strawberry, still lots of fruit. So fragrant and so fruity for a rosé that is four years old. Full flavoured and silky and powerful. Musky white peach, nut oils and gingery spices on the nose. Silky, stony and concentrated; ripe yet dry, conveying an impression of solid dry extract. The fullest of these premier crus but shows very good stone and menthol reserve. Classic refined Chassagne wine with a long, bright finish. Very strong for this cuvee." (09/2013)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of the finest examples of the 1982 vintage, this wine has been a reliable performer for over a decade. It is one of only two B.V. Private Reserves made during the decade of the eighties to merit an outstanding rating. The 1982 exhibits a saturated dark ruby color with only slight lightening at the edge. There are 450 cases of this magnificent Cabernet Sauvignon. Notes of Mediterranean herbs intermixed with licorice, blackberry and cassis jump from the glass of this opaque purple wine. Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2005 Kistler "Dutton Ranch" Russian River Valley Chardonnay ((94-96RP), 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "More weight and power along with notes of roasted hazelnuts, peach, and smoky, almost clarified butter smells emerge from the 2005 Chardonnay Dutton Ranch. More extroverted and exuberant than the McCrea cuvee, it is an unusually elegant effort (because the acids are crisp and refreshing) that should drink beautifully for 7-8 years. Kistler Vineyards, undeniably one of the world’s finest winemaking estates, is run with passionate dedication to detail and quality by Steve Kistler and Mark Bixler. 2006 Ridge "Caboose" Sonoma County Zinfandel
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2006 Ridge "Caboose" Sonoma County Zinfandel. In the 1890s, the Nervo family purchased a ranch in Geyserville Township; it included ten acres of hillside vineyards. They planted more vines, and on the Northwestern Pacific's main line at the base of the property, built a square, two-story stone winery which they named Venezia, after their home region. Years later, Ed Nervo - who grew up at the Nervo whistle stop, and had fallen in love with all things pertaining to railroads - began to collect rail cars. Somehow, he managed to haul a caboose up the steep hillside to the middle of the vineyard. This wine is named in his honor.

Bid on this bottle of 2011 Domaine William Fèvre Chablis Grand Cru "Les Clos" ((93-96BH), (93-95RP), (92-95ST)). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "(from 4 separate parcels totaling 4.11 ha, 3 of which are all at the top of the slope). This was quite closed and somewhat difficult to read but aggressive swirling grudgingly liberated ripe aromas of sea breeze, pear, lemon rind, oyster shell and mineral reduction plus an abundance of typical floral scents. The large-scaled flavors are overtly powerful and impressively concentrated as there is plenty of palate staining dry extract that also buffers the very firm acidity that supports and shapes the gorgeously precise finish. This explosively long effort possesses exquisite balance and the tightly wound flavors are going to need at least a decade to completely bloom. A knock out." (09/2012)

2009 Sea Smoke "Ten" Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2009 Sea Smoke "Ten" Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir (92ST). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Opaque ruby. Pungent, expressive bouquet offers dark berry compote, cola, vanilla bean and incense qualities, along with slow-building spiciness and notes of clove and mocha. Lush, palate-coating blackberry and mulberry flavors are lifted by gentle acidity and complicated by notes of spicecake and candied violet. Bid on this bottle of 2009 Pride Mountain "Reserve" Sonoma/Napa Counties Claret (94RP, 93ST, 93WS, 92WE, 90CG). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The Merlot-based 2009 Claret Reserve is gorgeous. Juicy dark cherries, tobacco, smoke and cloves jump out of the glass. The Merlot gives the wine much of its suppleness, while the Cabernet adds the structure and pure mountain tannin. Even with all of its richness, the 2009 remains light on its feet for such a big wine. The 2009 boasts striking balance and tons of harmony. The blend is two-thirds Merlot and one-third Cabernet Sauvignon. Naturally, the Claret doesn't have the personality of the estate's variety wines, but it is compelling just the same. 1998 Gaja "Sperss" Nebbiolo Langhe
Bid on this bottle of 1998 Gaja "Sperss" Nebbiolo Langhe (95RP, 95ST, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of the things I have learned over the years is that you can count on Angelo Gaja to make a strong showing in just about any tasting. Yes, I know, Sperss is not Barolo (a small percentage of Barbera is added), but at its core the wine captures the essence of Serralunga and is as representative of these hillside vineyards as any Barolo. Dark tar, smoke, leather, spices, menthol and black cherries all make an appearance in this muscular, full-throttle wine. While the vast majority of 1998 Barolos can be enjoyed today, the 1998 Sperss could use another few years in the cellar. It isn't a crime to open a bottle today, but this is one of the few 1998s that still has upside potential. Simply put, the 1998 Sperss is a jewel. Anticipated maturity: 2010-2023. (AG)" (03/2009)

2011 Dujac Chambolle Musigny
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2011 Dujac Chambolle Musigny (90ST, 90VN). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "(mostly from fruit on the Morey side of the appellation): Good full red. Perfumed aromas of raspberry, orange peel and rose petal. Sappy, spicy and sweet, with dark raspberry fruit complicated by an herbal element. This is normally a very firmly tannic wine in the early going, but it's unusually sweet and tactile today. Seysses notes that the estate is now extracting more gently. (ST)" (01/2013)

2001 Drouhin Laroze Musigny Grand Cru
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2001 Drouhin Laroze Musigny Grand Cru ((91-94BH)). Allen Meadows - Burghound: " Drop dead gorgeous aromas of red and black pinot fruit with a trace of earth and only the barest hints of wood spice. Musky, complex, slightly floral ripe flavors deliver excellent intensity and this expands from the mid-palate to the long, lingering finish. Silk, elegance and finesse and this is easily the finest example of Musigny produced in the short time Drouhin-Laroze has owned its parcel. Outstanding quality here. (AM)" (01/2004)

2004 Alessandro e Gian Natale Fantino "Bussia Cascina Dardi" Barolo Riserva
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2004 Alessandro e Gian Natale Fantino "Bussia Cascina Dardi" Barolo Riserva (94VN). Vinous: "The 2004 Barolo Riserva Cascina Dardi-Bussia starts off rather shy and subdued, but then grows in the glass considerably. Dried flowers, rose perals, licorice and berries are some of the nuances that emerge from this deceptively medium-bodied, ethereal Barolo. There is a weighltess elegance and finesse to the Riserva that is utterly irressitible. 94+ (AG)" (12/2010)

2010 Domaine Henri Boillot Volnay 1er Cru "Les Champans"
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2010 Domaine Henri Boillot Volnay 1er Cru "Les Champans" ((91-93RP), 92BH). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Volnay Champans presents an intricately woven latticework of dark red and black fruit, spices, licorice and menthol. The oak is very nicely integrated here. Rich, powerful and layered, the Champans boasts explosive energy all the way through to the large-scaled, dramatic finish. This is another Godzilla-size wine from Boillot, but it all works. Anticipated maturity: 2020-2030. (AG)" (02/2012)

2001 Camus Père et Fils Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2001 Camus Père et Fils Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru. Camus is an underrated domaine with good Grand Cru holdings in Gevrey-Chambertin. It's existed, more or less, since 1732, but mostly after the phylloxera epidemic, when Joseph Camus purchased abandoned vineyards. The vines for the Charmes-Chambertin are 40+-years old. The wines are not filtered, so you'll often find sediment, but this ensures that every iota of flavor from the grape makes it into the final wine.

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2007 Chandon de Briailles Corton-Marechaudes Grand Cru ((89-91BH)). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A ripe if not especially elegant nose that offers an attractive complexity to the red and blue Pinot fruit, earth and slightly animale aromas that precede supple, round and naturally sweet flavors underpinned by moderately firm tannins and a pretty touch of minerality. This is delicious and mouth coating if not truly profound." (04/2009)

2005 Brovia "Villero" Barolo
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2005 Brovia "Villero" Barolo (96RP, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2005 Barolo Villero is ridiculously great. All sorts of cinnamon, cloves, menthol and other balsamic nuances take center stage. The dark fruit is marvelously radiant, open and expressive, showing superb density and richness. The tannins are of course firm for a wine of this age, but that doesn’t get in the way of what is a totally alluring Barolo of the highest level. Violets, plums and minerals ring out on the precise, refreshing finish. Hats off to Brovia for another exceptional Barolo. Anticipated maturity: 2020-2035. (AG)" (12/2010)

2010 Domaine Charvin Châteauneuf-du-Pape
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2010 Domaine Charvin Châteauneuf-du-Pape (95RP, 95ST, 95WS). Wine Spectator: "A juicy and brambly style, with thick plum skin, raspberry and blackberry fruit at the core, lined with toasted spice, roasted apple wood and dark licorice snap notes. The dark fruit is offset nicely by a perfumy black tea note, and the finish is lined with a fine minerality, with nice grip for balance overall. There's lots of range to this, and it should age beautifully. Best from 2015 through 2030. (Web-2013)"

Vinous: "Almonds, dried flowers, pears and spices open up in the 2013 Chablis Vaudesir, a wine built on pure verticality and structure. 2012 Domaine Frédéric Esmonin Ruchottes-Chambertin Grand Cru
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Domaine Frédéric Esmonin Ruchottes-Chambertin Grand Cru (94ST, 92BH, 91RP). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Good deep red with ruby highlights. The nose began tight and oaky but opened with air to show enticing scents of dark raspberry, cherry liqueur, violet and licorice. The richest and sweetest of this set of 2012s, showing noteworthy concentration and breadth to the captivating flavors of berries, flowers and stony minerality. Wonderfully stuffed for an Esmonin wine but with no excess weight--and not a hint of rusticity. Finishes very long and perfumed, with utterly fine-grained tannins. Showing remarkably well following the recent bottling; in fact, I may well be underrating it today. 94+ (ST)" (01/2014)

2011 Domaine Moreau-Naudet Chablis-Valmur Grand Cru
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2011 Domaine Moreau-Naudet Chablis-Valmur Grand Cru (94RP, (90-92BH)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Tasted blind at the Burgundy 2011 horizontal tasting in Beaune. The 2011 Chablis Grand Cru Valmur from Moreau-Naudet has good intensity on the nose with scents of dried honey, beeswax, chalk dust and walnut, retaining Chablis character through and through. The palate is balanced and poised on the entry with a keening line of acidity, gentle at first, but building in the mouth to a very composed and yet relatively rich and generous, spicy finish (à la les Preuses). This is a top-class Valmur. (NM)" (11/2014)

2010 Fleur Cardinale, St-Emilion
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2010 Fleur Cardinale, St-Emilion (95RP, 94ST, 93JS, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Dense ruby/purple, it tips the scales at 15% natural alcohol and was bottled unfined and unfiltered. Full-bodied in texture, it offers up loads of blueberry, blackberry and raspberry fruit intermixed with some cedar, vanilla and a touch of spring flowers. Impressively built, with good acidity and light tannin, this is a superb example of wine that reaches its prime in 3 or 4 years and lasts two decades. It's right up there with their brilliant 2005. Allen Meadows - Burghound: "This is markedly different with a touch of wood framing the violet, plum, dark berry, exotic tea, spice and animale suffused aromas. There is outstanding size, weight, concentration and punch to the soil-inflected flavors that display plenty of muscular on the linear, austere and impressively persistent finish. This is less refined than the Bressandes but even more complex. A qualitative choice." (04/2013)

2012 Sylvie Esmonin Gevrey-Chambertin "Vieilles Vignes"
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2012 Sylvie Esmonin Gevrey-Chambertin "Vieilles Vignes" ((93-95RP), (92-94VN), 91ST, 90BH). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Gevrey-Chambertin Vieilles Vignes comes from 60+ year old vines and also comes from several parcels towards the south of the village and from more limestone soils to the north. It includes 50% whole cluster fruit and the same percentage new oak. It has a very refined bouquet that unfolds in the glass – less immediate than the regular village cru – with very pure, mineral-rich dark berry fruit, with touches of flint and granite emerging with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with a superb structure and sense of symmetry on the entry. The black fruit merges with red fruit during the second half that shimmers with tension on the crystalline finish. This is just an outstanding Gevrey-Chambertin that should age with style. Reticent but very pure aromas of raspberry, minerals and wild herbs, plus an exotic whiff of nectarine. Wonderfully silky and voluminous, offering seductive sweetness and outstanding noble perfume. Finishes with thoroughly sweet tannins, outstanding lift and palate-saturating persistence. As satisfying as a great Chambolle. (ST)" (11/2011)
