2007 Vietti "Brunate" Barolo
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2007 Vietti "Brunate" Barolo (98RP, (96-97JS), 97ST, 95WS, 94WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2007 Barolo Brunate is a stunner. Layers of dark fruit, mocha, chocolate, menthol, pine and spices emerge reluctantly from an inward, mysterious Barolo that captures the essence of one of Piedmont's greatest sites. Structurally, it remains a powerhouse, with massive tannins, great body and fabulous length. The Brunate is one of the most improved wines at Vietti over the last few years, and is a huge success in this vintage. Anticipated maturity: 2017-2032. (AG)" (02/2011)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2009 Maison Ilan Morey-St-Denis 1er Cru "Les Chaffots" ((89-92BH)). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Mild reduction knocks down the nose though it's clear that the fruit is ripe with rich and relatively full-bodied flavors that possess good mid-palate concentration and plenty of buffering extract, all wrapped in a delicious, intense and well-balanced finish." 1990 Domaine Leroy Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru "Beaux Monts"
Bid on this bottle of 1990 Domaine Leroy Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru "Beaux Monts" (98RP, 95WS, 92BH). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The Vosne-Romanee-Les Beaumonts is a more subtle, more classic example of a top premier cru Vosne-Romanee. It does not soar from the glass with the exotic, smoky, roasted character of the Les Brulees, but it does offer authoritative and persistent aromas of black fruits, herbs, underbrush, and sweet oak. While it displays exceptional concentration of flavor in the mouth, it is supported by higher levels of tannin and is a more structured, denser, richer wine than the Les Brulees. Since the tannins are more noticeable, it should be cellared for 7-8 years, and should last for 30 or more. This profound wine is one of the superstars of the vintage." (10/1992)

Of the 1997 Chateau Montelena "Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "There are 10,200 cases of the remarkable 1997 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate. Opaque purple-colored with a dense, chewy, full-bodied personality, it displays abundant cassis, mineral, and earth notes. This brilliantly made, super-concentrated, pure, blockbuster possesses sweet tannin as well as a terrific finish ... (RP)" (12/2000)

1998 M. Chapoutier "Le Méal" Ermitage Rouge (OWC)
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 1998 M. Chapoutier "Le Méal" Ermitage Rouge (OWC - 95RP, 93WS, 92ST) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Compared to the 1999, the 1998 Ermitage le Meal seamed slightly one-dimensional on the nose and left me craving a touch more complexity. However, it made up for it on the palate and was more expansive and opulent, with full-bodied richness, terrific concentration and a surprising amount of tannic grip that came through on the blockbuster finish. Showing classic Hermitage notes of beef blood, currants, smoked earth and licorice, drink this rich, fabulously textured 1998 over the coming 2-3 decades. (JD)" (09/2015)

Allen Meadows - Burghound: "This too is very backward and reluctant and it took real coaxing to reveal spicy black fruit notes but the flavors are big, tannic, authoritative and powerful and this finishes with stunning complexity. Quite structured but not hard with mouth coating tannins buffered by plenty of sap. This too needs at least a decade." (04/2003)

2005 Peter Michael "Les Pavots" Knights Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2005 Peter Michael "Les Pavots" Knights Valley Bordeaux Blend (95RP, 93ST, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2005 Les Pavots (3,600 cases of 63% Cabernet Sauvignon, 23% Cabernet Franc, 12% Merlot, and the rest Petit Verdot) is a sensational wine, with a style that suggests a hypothetical blend of a great St.-Emilion and Pomerol. Chocolatey cassis notes intermixed with incense, licorice, and a hint of black olive are present in this wine. When it hits the palate, it comes across as very Pomerol-like, with lushness, full body, and opulence. The tannins are sweet, the pH high, and the wine gorgeously full, pure, dense, and long. It’s a terrific example of non-interventionalist winemaking that has turned out a beautiful, silky-textured wine that should age effortlessly for 15+ years. Like so many 2005s, this wine has really put on weight since I tasted it last year. (RP)" (12/2007)

1991 Penfolds "Grange" Shiraz South Australia
Bid on this bottle of 1991 Penfolds "Grange" Shiraz South Australia (96JH, 95RP, 95WS). James Halliday: "Medium to full red-purple; the usual array of richly luscious cherry, plum and black fruit aromas mingling with mocha and dark chocolate on the bouquet. The palate is as complex and structured as the bouquet promises; the tannins pick up early but are not overly aggressive, and run through a wine showing the full gamut of ripe, old vine Shiraz flavours. 2005 Harlan Estate Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (OWC)
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2005 Harlan Estate Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (OWC - 98RP, 97VN, 96JS, 95WE, 94WS) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: " ... Gorgeous, and tasting akin to a hypothetical Pauillac blended with a great Pessac-Léognan from Bordeaux comes to mind because of the smoky, subtle barbecue notes, fruitcake, forest floor, graphite and minerality. The wine has stunning fruit and a full-bodied, powerful richness, yet is still nimble on its feet. This is a classic Napa Cabernet Sauvignon from an absolutely magnificent hillside vineyard in the Mayacamas Mountains overlooking the Oakville corridor on the valley floor. This opaque, garnet/purple wine is another tour de force and, once again, proves that Harlan Estate is not only one of the greatest wines of California, but of the world. (RP)" (06/2015)

Layered, expansive, full-bodied and youthful, it can be drunk now or cellared for two decades. It is very impressive! (RP) " (06/2012)

The basic personality is serious, indeed almost somber there is exceptionally good underlying material with impressive density. A great effort and this is one to buy. (AM)" (04/2004)

2007 Opus One Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2007 Opus One Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (96VN, 95RP, 94WS, 93JS, 93ST). Vinous: "There is so much to like about the 2007 Opus One. A wine that captures the essence of the year, the 2007 is exotic, flashy and striking. Kirsch, rose petals, pomegranates and spices form a fabric of compelling beauty. The 2007 is rich, sumptuous and generous, just as it should be. Threads of striking perfume are woven throughout, adding aromatic lift and pure sensuality. Readers who like more structured wines are likely to gravitate towards vintages such as 2010, but years like 2007 offer immense pleasure and an immediacy I find impossible to resist. A sumptuous, layered finish rounds things out in stunning style. (AG)" (06/2013)

2013 Philip Togni "Estate" Spring Mountain District Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2013 Philip Togni "Estate" Spring Mountain District Cabernet Sauvignon (100VN, 96DC). Vinous: "A majestic, towering wine, the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate is even more striking in bottle than it was from barrel. Deep, unctuous and remarkably vivid for such a big, intense wine, the 2013 simply conquers all of the senses, from the intellectual to the hedonistic. A host of dark red cherry, pomegranate, spice, mint and floral notes meld together in the glass, but the 2013 is a wine to admire for its total sense of completeness. This is easily the greatest young Philip Togni wine I have ever tasted. Simply put, the 2013 is magnificent and one of the wines of the vintage.-Antonio Galloni writing for Vinous.com" (10/2015)

Of the 2005 Climens, Barsac,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "Tasted blind at the 10-Year On Tasting in Sauternes. The 2005 Château Climens just soars from the glass with layers of clear honey, marmalade, nectarine and minerals all beautifully carved. The palate is medium-bodied with fresh, vibrant honeyed fruit that builds and builds in the mouth in tandem with a killer line of acidity. Even though it is a convincing, great Climens, you also have the impression that it is only just beginning to show what it is capable of. Bérénice Lurton and her team excelled in this vintage and it comes strongly recommended. (NM)" (06/2015)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2006 Domaine Marquis d'Angerville Volnay 1er Cru "Clos des Ducs" (92ST, 91RP, 90WS). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Good deep red. Cool, medicinal, very primary aromas of black cherry and flowers. Then sappy, sweet and backward, with excellent verve to the black fruit, menthol and licorice flavors. This youthfully clenched and serious wine really saturates the palate. Finishes quite long and vibrant, with a mineral spine that calls for extended cellaring. (ST)" (03/2009)

The complexity here is already impressive and this is not nearly as forward and the structure is more evident. Sappy, long and classy and the harmony this displays is lovely." (01/2004)

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2002 Domaine Vincent Dauvissat Chablis 1er Cru "Vaillons" (92BH, 91RP, 91ST). Allen Meadows - Burghound: " *Outstanding* Aromatically bigger and fuller with an intense spiciness to the ripe melon infused nose that does not possess the elegance or detail of the Séchet, leading to robust, powerful, sappy, mouth coating flavors of impressive depth and weight. This also explodes on the finish and there is real volume here for a 1er and just as the wine is on the verge of seeming a touch heavy, the acidity arrives with a real rush on the incredibly long finish to keep all the elements in perfect balance. This too is very serious juice fashioned in classic Chablis style." (10/2004)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 1999 Paul Jaboulet Aîné "La Chapelle" Hermitage (OWC - 94WE, 93ST, 91WS) in original wood. Wine Enthusiast: "Jaboulet’s view of its most famous wine seems to have changed. Although the concentrated, dense tannins and big black fruit flavors are still there, it has lost the huge brooding presence of past vintages, and now has a veneer of sophistication with superripe fruit, plums and dark jam tastes. Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2013 Hundred Acre "Few and Far Between" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC - 100RP, 93WS) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Obviously, the Eisele Vineyard next door is a first-growth quality vineyard, and so is Jayson Woodbridge’s 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Few and Far Between. This has some Cabernet Franc (5%-15%), and spends 32 months in barrel. It is an absolutely outrageously great wine from the volcanic rocks and white volcanic ash of these soils in this northeast sector of Napa to the south of Calistoga. The finish goes on for over a minute, as this wine has layers and layers of fruit. If anything, it reminded me of a Château Latour on steroids. A magnificent example, it is one of the prodigious wines of this great vintage for Bordeaux varietals in Napa...(RP)" (10/2016)

Its sexy concoction of jammy black fruits intermixed with violets, acacia flowers, cherry liqueur, and creme de cassis jumps from the glass. This intense wine displays great fruit, some structure, and a beautifully seamless texture. It is more evolved and open than the 2007 was at the same time, and just slightly less profound. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2011 Sine Qua Non "The Moment" White Blend (95RP, 94VN, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Starting off the tasting and a prodigious, unctuous white, the 2011 The Moment checks in as a blend of 57% Roussanne, 19% Petit Manseng, 17% Chardonnay and 7% Viognier that spent 16 months in a combination of concrete, new and used barrels, and stainless steel. Offering up notions of marzipan, citrus oil flowers, marmalade and spiced apricots, it flows onto the palate with full-bodied richness and depth that's balanced by beautiful underlying freshness and clarity. While I would lean towards drinking bottles over the coming 2-3 years, these can absolutely age, and have upwards of 10-15+ years of longevity. Drink now-2017+. (JD)" (08/2013)

2006 Larkmead Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2006 Larkmead Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (94RP, 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 4,400-case cuvee of 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate (96% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest Merlot and Cabernet Franc) is brilliant. It would probably be hard to find a Cabernet Sauvignon of this quality with this production level, all estate fruit, and such impeccable viticulture and winemaking. This wine reminded me of a great vintage of Pontet Canet in Pauillac, Bordeaux. The deep creme de cassis flavors intermixed with charcoal and lead pencil shavings soar from the glass. Its full body, stunning ripeness, sweet tannin, and substantial flavor authority make for a brilliant Cabernet Sauvignon ... (RP)" (12/2008)

Bid on this magnum lot of 2013 Rhys "Horseshoe Hillside" Santa Cruz Mountains Pinot Noir (1.5L) (OWC - 97VN, 96RP) in original wood. Vinous: "Just as brilliant from bottle as it was from barrel, the 2013 Pinot Noir Horseshoe Vineyard Hillside hits all the right notes. Exotic, perfumed and structured, the 2013 exudes pedigree. Violets, lavender, dark spices and black cherries flesh out in a dark, sensual Pinot loaded with class. The flavors are vivid, nuanced and layered throughout. The 2013 boasts striking inner perfume, endless layers of fruit and an intense, palate-staining finish. Simply stated, the 2013 is a remarkable, deeply expressive, must-have wine from Rhys. 2014 Kosta Browne Russian River Valley Pinot Noir
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2014 Kosta Browne Russian River Valley Pinot Noir. From the producer: "There are many differences between vineyards in this small appellation but the majority of them do share a common influence – the cooling effect that follows the Russian River inland from the Pacific coast. This fog helps keep nights cool and offers vines a respite from daytime temperatures. In turn, these diurnal temperature swings slow down ripening and promote more evolved flavors in our grapes. We work with vineyards that span a diverse and varied view into a region that many would call the heartland of California Pinot Noir. Our goal is to create a wine that showcases the essence of this magical appellation. Over the years, we’ve been fortunate to work with many great vineyards. The selection that contribute to this wine all come from growers that surround our Sebastopol home. There is often a recognizably full mouthfeel and texture to the wines from the area - a common thread to the

Bid on this bottle of 2001 Hundred Acre "Kayli Morgan" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98RP, 94VN, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Having performed spectacularly well last year in the retrospective of ten-year old Napa Cabernets, this 2001 remains incredibly young, with all of its potential waiting to burst forth. Its dense purple color is followed by notes of mulberries, creme de cassis, blackberries, licorice, graphite and subtle smoke. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Carlisle "Rosella's Vineyard" Santa Lucia Highlands Syrah. From the producer: "Located on the southeastern facing slopes of the mountains separating the Pacific Ocean from the Salinas Valley in Monterey County, Rosella’s Vineyard is truly one of California’s “grand cru” vineyards. Foggy mornings, strong afternoon coastal winds, and great sun exposure provide for a long growing season. It is a dazzling, totally beguiling wine that impresses for its sheer grace and classiness. A subtle yet precise saline-infused finish leaves a lasting impression. 2009 Williams Selyem "Peay Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2009 Williams Selyem "Peay Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (93JS, 93ST, 93WE). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Glass-staining ruby. Seductively scented, expansive bouquet of smoky blackberry, boysenberry and resinous herbs. Cola and vanilla qualities gain power with aeration and carry onto the palate, which features sappy dark berry and candied cherry flavors. Tannins build slowly with air but not at the expense of the densely packed fruit. Impressively juicy and concentrated pinot with outstanding thrust and cling. As much as I admire the power and depth of this wine, I have a slight preference for the litheness of the Hirsch right now. It would be a treat to be able to compare them down the road. The Viognier shows on the nose and it has a floral, perfumed bouquet of ripe berry fruits, plums, orange blossom, fruit cake and mulled spices. 2002 Domain Louis Jadot “Montrachet” Grand Cru
Bid on this bottle of 2002 Domain Louis Jadot “Montrachet” Grand Cru (95RP, 95ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2002 Montrachet was re-tasted in early February, 2004 immediately after bottling. It reveals a highly expressive nose of sap-laden rocks, spices, and ginger. On the palate, this medium to full-bodied, velvety-textured effort is seamless, rich, broad, and ample. Loads of spices, hazelnuts, cloves, pears, and honeyed minerals can be discerned in its complex, harmonious character. Its pure, lush personality and impressively bold flavors linger throughout its long, suave finish. Given that this wine had recently been subjected to filtration and the shock of being bottled, I have every confidence in the world that it will gain even more power, flesh, and length over the next 2-3 years.
