2009 Flowers "Sea View Ridge" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2009 Flowers "Sea View Ridge" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (94W&S, 91WS). Wine & Spirits: "Selected from Flowers's most recent planting, 43 acres rising from 1,400 to 1,875 feet above the Pacific, with views of the fog and the ocean below. The best wines from this vineyard have shown glimmers of grand cru sophistication and this 2009 develops in a way that parallels a great Burgundy. It starts off meaty, seemingly simple in its directness, until it begins to deepen, the tannins going through an adolescent moment with a character like spiced tea and cheese rind. By the next day, those tannins have turned toward a ferrous minerality and the wine is racy, dense, floral, as red as persimmon, powerful in an oceanic sense. If you don't believe there is terroir character in California pinot noir, spend some time at this vineyard, then go home and taste this wine." (10/2011)

2013 Aubert Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2013 Aubert Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (93VN). Vinous: "The 2013 Pinot Noir is fabulous. Pliant, supple and expressive, the Sonoma Coast is a window into this collection of superb Pinots. Dark red cherries, white flowers, mint and spices are some of the notes that caress the palate in this perfumed, exquisite Pinot Noir from Mark Aubert. At many estates, the Sonoma Coast would be the top of the line; here it is the entry-level bottling. -Antonio Galloni" (01/2015)

2008 Saxum "James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend
Bid on this bottle of 2008 Saxum "James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (98RP, 97WS, 95ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2008 James Berry Vineyard (52% Grenache, 31% Mourvedre, and 17% Syrah) saw some of its Grenache aged in the concrete eggs that are now catching on among some of the top producers on California’s Central Coast. With strong minerality from the limestone soil, this exuberant, fleshy, full-bodied wine is already drinking well. (I believe it was actually bottled just a day or two before my visit, which makes its performance that much more remarkable.) Dense purple, with sweet notes of barbecue smoke and meats as well as roasted herbs, extravagant black cherry, black currant, and blackberry fruit are all present in this wine, but there is plenty of underlying structure that comes from both the minerality and the Mourvedre component. Pure, full-bodied, but again, impressively elegant and nuanced, this is a tour de force and another prodigious example of this

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2014 Carter "Beckstoffer To Kalon - The O.G." Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (97RP, 97VN, 95JS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon The O.G. is clearly a 25- to 30-year wine. This is profound wine, opulent with loads of spice, pen ink, blackberry and cassis, forward aromatics with floral notes and forest floor. The wine has stunning concentration and a mouth-filling, savory, unctuosity. This is great stuff and delicious already. About 223 cases were made and it finished at 14.9% natural alcohol – about the same as the other wines. (RP)" (12/2016)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2009 Dehlinger "Estate" Russian River Valley Chardonnay (91CG, 91RP, 91ST, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Chardonnay Estate emerges from the glass with lemon, citrus, white flowers and spices. This mid-weight, gracious wine impresses for its balance, energy and understated personality. I loved it. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2019. I tasted a large number of wines with Tom and Eva Dehlinger, including several older wines, all of which have held up beautifully. These remain some of the most fairly priced wines in California. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2011 Williams Selyem "Olivet Lane Vineyard" Russian River Valley Chardonnay (94WE, 91RP, 91ST, 90CG). Wine Enthusiast: "Insanely rich and opulent, brimming with apricot and tangerine jam, green-apple butter, pineapple tart, vanilla, honeysuckle, buttered toast and spice flavors. Somehow, the mass is reined in by a tight framework of acids, minerals and oak tannins. This shows the pedigree that comes from this famous vineyard, as well as the Williams Selyem signature of extreme class and deliciousness. Drink over the next five years." (07/2013)

2002 Barnett Spring Mountain District Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2002 Barnett Spring Mountain District Cabernet Sauvignon (93RP, 91WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This 2,400+ case blend of 77% Cabernet Sauvignon, 16% Cabernet Franc and the rest Merlot and Petit Verdot was aged 21 months in French oak (two-thirds new). The winery believes this cuvee’s finest drinking days were between 2004 and 2012, although I believe that is conservative, as this wine is still in late adolescence in terms of its evolutionary track. It exhibits a deep ruby/purple color along with copious aromas of blueberries, raspberries, spring flowers and earth. Dense, rich and full-bodied, with superb intensity, purity, texture and length, this beauty is close to full maturity, but is capable of lasting another 10-15 years in a cool cellar. 2013 Pride Mountain Reserve Sonoma/Napa Counties Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2013 Pride Mountain Reserve Sonoma/Napa Counties Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP, 96VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A real tour de force once again, and their second consecutive perfect score, is the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve, which is 99% Cabernet Sauvignon and 1% Petit Verdot aged 22 months in 40% new French oak. It is a larger cuvée of 1,416 cases versus 450 for the Reserve Claret. The Cabernet is just under 15% alcohol. A fantastic wine, with great intensity, notes of graphite, forest floor, crème de cassis, white chocolate and blackberry, the wine hits the palate with a thunderous presence, has a multi-layered, skyscraper-like palate feel, a plush, intense texture, high but well-integrated tannin and acidity, and nicely disguised oak. This is a magnificent wine, with 79% of it coming from the Sonoma side of Spring Mountain and 21% from the Napa side. Drink it over the next 25-30+ years. (RP)" (10/2015)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2009 Merry Edwards "Olivet Lane" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir (95WE, 92CG, 92W&S, 91WS). Wine Enthusiast: "Some will critique this Pinot Noir as being too big and extracted, and lacking delicacy. But Olivet Lane Pinots are seldom delicate. You look for massive fruit and elaborate construction, and that’s what you find in this fabulously exotic wine. It’s a beauty, rich, dense and opulent, with complex cherry, rose petal, dark chocolate and new oak flavors, wrapped into firm, refined tannins. Just gorgeous now, with a few hours of decanting, but it will easily develop bottle nuances for a good eight years. *Cellar Selection*" (02/2012)

2007 Von Strasser "Spaulding Vineyard" Diamond Mountain District Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2007 Von Strasser "Spaulding Vineyard" Diamond Mountain District Cabernet Sauvignon (91CG). Connoisseurs Guide: "Among the more open and inviting of the new Von Strasser wines, the Spaulding Vineyard bottling is long on sweet, well-extracted fruit. It recalls the juicy, ripe-cherry aspects of good Merlot, yet its flirtations with briar, dark earth and graphite-like spice place it squarely in the Cabernet camp. It is rich but pulls back from excess, and its careful, claret-like construction and seamlessly fit tannins predict a sure-to-be-elegant wine. *One Star*" (08/2010)

2014 Sine Qua Non "Light Motif" Central Coast Proprietary White Blend
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2014 Sine Qua Non "Light Motif" Central Coast Proprietary White Blend (97RP, 94VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Starting with the whites and a rich, thrillingly concentrated and unctuous wine from Manfred, the 2014 White Wine Lightmotif is made from 47% Roussanne, 21% Chardonnay, 14% Petite Manseng, 11% Viognier and 7% Marsanne that spent 19 months in a combination of concrete eggs, new French oak, neutral barrels and a tiny portion in stainless steel. Coming from close to equal parts Eleven Confessions, Cumulus and Bien Nacido vineyards, this beauty sports a medium gold color to go with a rich, layered profile that carries tons of ripe peach, honeycomb, pineapple, flowers and citrus. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2007 Olivier Bernstein Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru "Les Cazetiers" ((91-93ST), 91BH). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Bright red-ruby. Enticing tangy aromas of raspberry, bitter cherry, spices and game. Then suave and creamy in the mouth but with excellent energy and lift toward the back thanks to resounding minerality. This mounts impressively and coats the palate without giving any impression of weight. The fine-grained tannins contribute to an overall impression of finesse. Strong juice, but quite refined. Bid on this bottle of 2012 Beau Vigne "Cult" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "As great as all these wines are, Beau Vigne’s top wine is the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Cult. From a dry-farmed vineyard, it exhibits an inky/blue/black color as well as beautiful, sweet kirsch liqueur notes intermixed with creme de cassis, unsmoked cigar tobacco, underbrush and loamy soil notes. The complex aromatics are followed by a fabulously rich, full-bodied, voluptuously textured wine revealing terrific purity as well as depth. This full-bodied, classic Insignia reveals fabulous depth, ripeness, texture, viscosity and richness. Still young and unformed, it should evolve for 25 or more years. 2014 Aubert Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2014 Aubert Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir. Robert Parker writes: "Mark Aubert had an impressive resumé long before he became this famous, mentored by Helen Turley when he was at Peter Michael, and from there spending impressive tenures at Colgin and Tom Futo’s winery before he went off bound for glory... All of Aubert’s wines tend to push about 15% natural alcohol as he is not shy about ripeness, but they also have great acids. They are aged in 100% new oak that is virtually untraceable, given the quality of the fruit and his magical élevage, which produces wines that are pure and precise... His 2014s are among the great, great successes of the vintage. As he told me, 2014 was a tiny crop for him, and all of the wines are slightly bigger than even his 2013s and 2012s, meaning they are in excess of 15% alcohol, but they have intense acid profiles due to the drought and dry soils where his vineyards are planted." This wine always exhibits plenty of crushed rock, wet gravel minerality, notes of forest floor, spring flowers and copious quantities of blackberry and crème de cassis with a hint of lead pencil shavings and pen ink. The 2014 is dense and full-bodied, but with low acidity and ripe well-integrated tannin. It is strutting its stuff, however it should be even better with 5-7 years of bottle age and last 25-30 years. Bid on this bottle of 2005 Domaine Leflaive Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru "Les Pucelles" (96W&S, 93BH, 93WS, 92ST). Wine & Spirits: "The domaine owns three parcels (7.56 acres) of Les Pucelles, which borders Bâtard-Montrachet and Bienvenues- Bâtard-Montrachet. More than half of it was planted prior to 1969, the oldest vines dating to 1954. This is both subtler and more explosive than Clavoillon, its pear and honeysuckle perfume recalling the work of the bees among the vines. That classical buzz infuses the architectural power of the wine, a grand mineral structure embedded in the fruit itself. The beautiful scent and luscious texture should be reaching their peak eight to ten years from the vintage." (12/2007)

2012 Outpost "True Vineyard" Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2012 Outpost "True Vineyard" Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP, (93-96ST), 94VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "There are 375 cases of the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon True Vineyard, which is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon aged in 90% new French oak. This cuvée ratchets up the levels of structure and tannin, but shares similar notes of blackberries, blueberries, floral, forest floor and spice. It is a broad-flavored, multidimensional wine built like a skyscraper. However, unlike the regular Cabernet Sauvignon, this offering requires patience because of some significant tannin. Forget it for 4-5 years and drink it over the next two decades." (10/2014)

In 1988, the duo created their first wine under the Howell Mountain Vineyards label, before launching Black Sears Estate in 1997. 2012 Pulido-Walker "Melanson Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2012 Pulido-Walker "Melanson Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (94RP, 91VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Melanson Vineyard, which I tasted and reviewed last year right after bottling, has opened up somewhat and displays a dense ruby/purple color, a big, sweet kiss of blueberry and black raspberry fruit, some creamy oak and a floral underpinning as well as some foresty notes. The wine is medium to full-bodied, rich and ripe, with sweet tannin and a long finish. This beauty should drink well for another 15-20 years. The winemaker at this small boutique operation owned by Mark Pulido and Donna Walker is none other than Thomas Brown. Obviously, some of the selections for their wines come from the increasingly well-known Melanson Vineyard on Pritchard Hill, and of course, others come from a site Thomas Brown utilizes for his own label, the St. Helena vineyard of Panek, which is a 5.5-acre parcel just to the north of St. Helena in

2011 Sine Qua Non "Dark Blossom" California Grenache
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2011 Sine Qua Non "Dark Blossom" California Grenache (97RP, 97VN, (93-95ST)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2011 Grenache Dark Blossom is probably the best Grenache-based blend in the vintage. A blend of 75% Grenache, 12.5% Syrah, 11.5% Mourvedre and a splash of Roussanne (fermented with 11% whole clusters), it has a perfumed, complex style, with notions of black raspberry, cassis, dried flowers, white pepper and licorice giving way to a full-bodied, layered and seamless mouthfeel. There’s no shortage of fruit here, and while it’s hard to resist now, it has enough tannin to warrant short-term cellaring. It should knock it out of the park through 2029. (JD)" (08/2014)

2013 Seaver Family Vineyards "GTS" Diamond Mountain District Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2013 Seaver Family Vineyards "GTS" Diamond Mountain District Cabernet Sauvignon (95RP, 93VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A beautiful Cabernet Sauvignon from the great New York Mets Hall of Fame pitcher, Tom Seaver. He was smart to use Jim Barbour as a vineyard manager and Thomas Rivers Brown as winemaker. Coming from a parcel on Diamond Mountain, the wine is dense purple, shows beautiful crème de cassis fruit, blackberries, a touch of earth, full-bodied richness, beautiful and sweet integrated tannins, as well as oak. This is a beauty and comes in at about 14.5% natural alcohol. Kudos. Here's a celebrity wine that definitely matches the brilliance of the celebrity himself. Drink it over the next 20 years. Of the 2010 Blankiet "Rive Droite- Paradise Hills Vineyard" Napa Valley Proprietary Red,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The 2010 Rive Droite Paradise Hills Vineyard is endowed with serious richness and depth, all backed up by an equally serious core of pure, saline-infused minerality. The Rive Droite is far from an easygoing Merlot-based wine, rather it is endowed with tons of structure and pure power. Today, the 2010 is incredibly young. I don’t see it giving much pleasure before the age of ten, but its balance is beyond impeccable. This is a dazzling effort that stands out for its pure energy. The 2010 is 90% Merlot and 10% Cab

Of the 2014 Cayuse "Impulsivo" Walla Walla Valley Tempranillo,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "Road tar, shiitake mushroom, black cherry, crushed flowers and graphite all emerge from the 2014 Impulsivo, which is a full-bodied, ethereally textured, structured Tempranillo that has insane purity and length. While it started out downright earthy and umami, it gained more and more fruit as it sat in the glass, has a beautiful mid-palate and a finish that won’t quit. Nevertheless, this firm, tannic wine needs to be forgotten for at least 4-5 years. (JD) 98+" (06/2017)

Bid on this bottle of 2004 Pahlmeyer Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (98RP, 92ST, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Composed of 79% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc, 4% Petit Verdot and 1% Malbec, the saturated purple-colored 2004 Proprietary Red Wine is a wonderful monster in the making. It boasts a dense purple color as well as notes of beef blood, creme de cassis, licorice, incense and spring flowers. It looks more like a 2-year-old wine than one that has seen its tenth birthday. Mouth-coating, unctuously textured, corpulent but well-delineated, this is a spectacular Proprietary Red that is even greater than I remember it in its youth. Bravo to Jayson Pahlmeyer (I believe his winemaker at the time was Erin Green) for this dynamic duo of 2004s. (RP)" (04/2014)

2014 Hammel Ampitheater North No. 1 Red
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2014 Hammel Ampitheater North No. 1 Red (95RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Starting out, the smokin’ good 2014 Amphitheater North No. 1 is an inky colored Syrah that has overflowing notes of blackberries, smoked meats, licorice, graphite and pepper. Full-bodied, beautifully concentrated and layered, with stunning purity of fruit, it stays relatively compact and focused on the palate and has enough tannin and underlying structure to warrant 2-3 years of bottle age. Completely destemmed and aged 14 months in new French oak, and bottled unfiltered, this is a heavenly Syrah that will knock your socks off through 2026. The downside? There are only 40 cases made. 2009 Lindstrom "Nicali" Napa Valley Red Blend
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2009 Lindstrom "Nicali" Napa Valley Red Blend. Lindstrom's "Nicali" is 80% Cabernet Sauvignon from the Nicali Vineyard in the Stags Leap District and 20% Napa Valley Zin, an unconvential combination deftly rendered by famed winemaker Celia Welch. A rare find since only 95 cases were made, and in its prime drinking window. From the winery: "Lucious, ripe aromas of blackberry, boysenberry, and perfumy huckleberry jam lift from the glass on this very fun blend of Cabernet and Zinfandel. Fruit-driven but with a hint of dark chocolate and a tiny note of savory aniseed, the aromas provide an accurate preview of juicy, fruit-forward flavors on the palate. Texturally, the wine is broad and bold, with ripe, fresh-berry flavors from start to finish. The 2009 Nicali shows beautifully now, but has enough structure and fresh fruit acidity to age well for the next 4-6 years."

Of the 2009 Stag's Leap Wine Cellars "Chase Creek" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon,Chase Creek, a tributary of the Napa River, runs through both the S.L.V. and Fay vineyards, the source of two long-time single bottlings from Stag's Leap Wine Cellars. The winery recently completed a five-year rehabilitation of Chase Creek, restoring the ecosystem to the benefit of both the estate vineyards. The counterpart to the "Fay Apologue" wine, which is sourced from the part of the vineyard that is further away from the creek on more volcanic soil, this wine shows the alluvial qualities in the soils found on the western side of the vineyard.

Very ripe yet high-pitched aromas of wet stone, hawthorn and botanical herbs. Broad, silky and sweet, with a three-dimensional quality to the superrich yet sharply delineated flavors of crushed stone, violet and lavender. Perhaps best today on the superb rising finish, where the wine's compelling vibrancy carries through. Another wine of great dimension. Lardiere used 60% new oak here, but the wood element is fully integrated and virtually invisible. Showing spectacularly well today, perhaps due in part to the fact that this wine finished its fermentation early. (ST)" (09/2010)
