2001 Domaine Maume Gevrey Chambertin "En Pallud"
Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 2001 Domaine Maume Gevrey Chambertin "En Pallud". Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Elegant, ripe with classic Gevrey earth and rust notes and this is measured, indeed almost cool and finishes with frank, linear and precise flavor authority. I especially like the intensity here and while this too is a bit of a bear to judge today, it's easier than the prior wine and this has the possibility of surprising on the upside." (01/2003)

1989 Louis Latour Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru
Bid on this bottle of 1989 Louis Latour Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru (95RP, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1989 Corton-Charlemagne should age gracefully for at least 10-15 years. In the mouth, one can sense its huge, weighty, high extract style. The acids are high, and the length is formidable. Is it better than Latour's 1986, 1983, or 1979 Corton-Charlemagnes? It will be potentially longer-lived than the 1983, but it is hard for me to believe that it will ever eclipse the great 1986. Stylistically, it reminds me of the opulent, flamboyant 1979 Corton-Charlemagne. This is an outstanding white Burgundy by any standard of measurement. Don't miss it! (RP)" (02/1992)

Of the 2000 Pavie Decesse, St-Émilion,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "Gerard Perse's 2000 Pavie Decesse, a blend of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc from a vineyard situated above Pavie, on the steep limestone hillsides outside the walled town of St.-Emilion, is a fabulous effort (all the Perse wines are stunning in this vintage). Notes of camphor, creme de cassis, violets, black currants, cedar, and licorice jump from the glass of this inky/purple-hued offering. Monumental richness, sensational sweet tannin, a skyscraper-like mid-palate, and a 45+-second finish result in an extraordinary wine that is just reaching its plateau of full maturity. It should last for another 20-25 years. (RP)" (06/2010)

It's full-bodied, with firm, yet velvety textured tannins. It's big and rounded. If you can't afford Las Cases, try some of this. Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2013 Horsepower "Sur Echalas Vineyard" Walla Walla Valley Grenache (OWC - 95RP, 94WS) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Aged in puncheon and neutral oak and bottled in August of 2014, the 2013 Grenache Sur Echalas Vineyard sports a transparent ruby color to go with classic Grenache notes of wild strawberries, peppery herbs, licorice, hints of iron and good minerality that comes out more on the finish. Similar in style to the 2012, with a savory edge, this medium to full-bodied beauty has fine tannin, a supple, sexy texture and a great finish. 2002 Sine Qua Non "Just for the Love of It" Syrah
Bid on this bottle of 2002 Sine Qua Non "Just for the Love of It" Syrah (100RP, 94ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A dead-ringer (at least aromatically) for Guigal’s single vineyard Cote Rotie La Mouline, the 2002 Just For The Love of It is the greatest California Syrah I have yet tasted. A one-thousand case blend of 96% Syrah, 2% Grenache, and 2% Viognier, it is nearly equal parts Alban, Bien Nacido, and Stolpman fruit with a small amount from both Shadow Canyon and White Hawk. It boasts a provocative perfume of creme de cassis, toast, blackberries, licorice, barbecue spice, and exotic floral scents. Extremely full-bodied, with fabulous intensity, great purity, awesome length, and a finish that lasts over a minute, this classic is a must purchase. Veeder is as compelling a Cabernet Sauvignon as one could ever hope to taste. This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from a high-elevation site boasts an inky/purple color, and smells of ink, blueberry liqueur, blackberries, black raspberries, mulberries, licorice, charcoal and camphor. With magnificent fruit richness, a layered, full-bodied mouthfeel, and incredible length, this seamlessly constructed 2012 should provide immense pleasure for 25+ years. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of the perfect wines from Shafer is the 2007 Shafer Cabernet Sauvignon Hillside Select. Think it over – in the first decade of the 21st century, Shafer scored three perfect scores and two 99s – that’s about as high a praise as I can give any producer in the world. Opaque purple in color, the 2007 has a stunning nose of sweet crème de cassis, black cherries, licorice, and toasty oak, a multilayered, full-throttle personality, and a texture that builds and builds. Great purity, fabulous fruit intensity and a richness without heaviness characterize this massive, prodigious effort from Shafer. It’s still very young, despite this vintage, which seems to be maturing precociously. I don’t believe this wine will hit its stride for at least another 5-10 years and drink well for at least 2-3 decades. (RP) " (12/2014)

2008 Abreu "Thorevilos" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2008 Abreu "Thorevilos" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend ((96-98RP)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "As outstanding as all the Abreu wines are, if I had to choose one that stands apart from the others it would be Thorevilos. The 2008 Thorevilos is the most complete and deeply satisfying of Abreu’s 2008s because the balance of fruit and structure is so impeccable. The 2008 literally explodes onto the palate with masses of dark fruit, tar, licorice and smoke. There is a fleshiness and depth of the fruit here that separates the Thorevilos from the other 2008s. Layers of fruit build towards the massive, masculine finish. In 2008 Thorevilos is 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Cabernet Franc and 15% Petit Verdot. Anticipated maturity: 2018-2038. (AG)" (12/2011)

1982 Pichon-Lalande, Pauillac
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1982 Pichon-Lalande, Pauillac (100RP, 98WS, 95ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of the monumental wines of the last century is the 1982 Pichon Lalande. Since bottling, it has flirted with perfection, and was a sprinter out of the gate, which gave rise to questions about how quickly it would begin its decline. However, at age 27, it retains all its glossy, rich, flamboyant cassis fruit, chocolaty, berry jam-like notes, and plenty of earthy, foresty flavors. This is a full-bodied, extravagantly rich Pichon Lalande seemingly devoid of acidity and tannin, but the wine is incredibly well-balanced and pure. It is an amazing effort! (RP)" (06/2009)

2013 J.-F. Coche-Dury Meursault 1er Cru "Caillerets"
Bid on this bottle of 2013 J.-F. Coche-Dury Meursault 1er Cru "Caillerets" (93RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2013 Meursault 1er Cru les Caillerets is more backward than the 2014 Meursault Rougeots at the moment, but there is enhanced mineral expression here, veins of flint and smoke infusing the citrus fruit, honeysuckle and a touch of jasmine. The palate is driven with salinity that makes you want to take another sip. There is something Puligny-like here, very focused and full of nervosité and urgency. Just a wonderful Meursault. It boasts a dense ruby/purple color along with a sweet bouquet of lead pencil shavings, black currants and a hint of toasty oak. More evolved than usual, this full-bodied, opulent 2004 is part of the new wave of Opus Ones made under the administration of Philippe Dhalluin, the administrator of Mouton Rothschild, who has begun to exploit this estate’s enormous potential. What follows is a fat mid-palate, medium body, explosive fruit and richness, soft tannin, and a velvety texture. It is a beautiful, compelling Lafite-Rothschild that can be drunk young, yet promises to evolve for 15+ years. 1989 Margaux, Margaux
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1989 Margaux, Margaux (97WS, 90RP). Wine Spectator: "This is about as alluring as it gets aromatically, with singed alder, juniper, bay and charcoal notes out front, hinting at power but turning beguiling as they flow into the core of steeped red currant, dried currant and black tea. The charcoal note makes an encore, with a lovely twinge of old-school character holding the finish. Always a great debate vis-à-vis the '90, but the slightly darker profile here gives this wine a lovely bit of extra drama. (Web Only—2014)"

A jewel of a wine, the 2007 is endowed with gorgeous depth and tons of personality. Raspberry jam, freshly cut flowers and licorice all flow through to a deep, enveloping finish that is pure 2007. This is another great showing from Screaming Eagle. In 2007 the blend is 59% Cabernet Sauvignon and 41% Merlot. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2022. 1989 La Mission Haut-Brion, Pessac-Léognan
Bid on this bottle of 1989 La Mission Haut-Brion, Pessac-Léognan (100RP, 97ST, 96WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Both La Mission-Haut-Brion and Haut-Brion hit home runs in this vintage, which did not produce as many profound wines as the Bordeaux publicity machine suggested. 1989, the 200th anniversary of the French revolution, was an incredibly hot year (surpassed only by 1990 and 2003). Even from barrel the seamless 1989 La Mission revealed a special elixir aspect, tasting like it had been designed by Chanel. It still possesses a blue/purple color with only a hint of garnet creeping in, and the explosive aromatics offer up notes of licorice, creme de cassis, blueberry liqueur, smoky barbecue meats, truffles and graphite. If that’s not enough to get one salivating, the palate has never disappointed either. Full-bodied with extraordinary opulence as well as sweet, well-integrated, velvety tannins, this fresh, lively, blockbuster La Mission appears to be one of those rare wines tha

1999 Harlan Estate Napa Valley Proprietary Red
Bid on this bottle of 1999 Harlan Estate Napa Valley Proprietary Red (96ST, 96WE, 95WS, 94RP). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Full medium ruby. Superripe, deep nose offers currant, plum, black cherry, truffle, smoke, meat and cedary spices. A wine of great sweetness and flavor intensity; remarkably suave in spite of its great solidity. Offers an almost liqueur-like ripeness and great density but sound acids keep the wine lively. Palate-staining aftertaste features substantial tongue-dusting but fine tannins. As extraordinary as the nearly confectionery, more roasted Harlan Estate '97 is, this wine may well have more verve." (05/2002)

1999 Louis Roederer "Cristal" Brut Champagne
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1999 Louis Roederer "Cristal" Brut Champagne (98RP, 97JS, 95W&S, 95WE, 94VN, 92ST, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of the finest Champagnes I have ever brought to my lips, the 1999 Cristal bursts from the glass with fresh hazelnut and apple scents. Elegant, deep, and silky-textured, this medium to full-bodied beauty is immensely concentrated, pure, packed with apple flavors, and astoundingly long in the finish. Louis Roederer does not display a disgorgement date or consumer friendly lot number on its non-vintage Brut. This is regrettable as it has consistently been one of the finer bottlings in this category. (PR)" (12/2005)

2000 Sine Qua Non "The Hussy" California Roussanne (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum lot of 2000 Sine Qua Non "The Hussy" California Roussanne (1.5L) (93RP, 91ST, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 100% Roussanne that emerged from both the Stolpman and Alban Vineyards, is the 2000 Hussy*. The name says it all, but note the asterisks. Our beloved BATF, which protects Americans from illicit thoughts and evil subliminal messages on wine labels, has refused approval of these names. Its light gold color is accompanied by fabulously decadent levels of fruit, luxurious glycerin, and a dry, full-bodied, amazingly well-delineated finish. This is a sumptuous, dry white that is among the most creative produced in California. One of the world's most creative wineries, Sine Qua Non is turning out world-class wines of extraordinary complexity and individuality. (RP)" (02/2002)

Wine Spectator: "Shows wonderful aromas of flowers and berries, with hints of vanilla and Indian spices. Full-bodied and powerful, with layers of chewy tannins and a long, flawless finish. Compact and dense, yet racy and refined. Not the perfect 2001, but very close. Best after 2013." (10/2007)

1996 Krug Brut Champagne (1.5L) (OWC)
Bid on this magnum lot of 1996 Krug Brut Champagne (1.5L) (OWC - 100W&S, 99ST, 99WS, 97RP) in original wood. Wine & Spirits: "It's hard to imagine how a wine of this power can sustain perfect balance. What is now a more nonchalant intensity in the aroma was, in fact, too much to handle when we tasted this last year, as if the wine had no time for mere humans with their limited sense receptors. If you stop to taste ripe pear, ginger spice, apple blossom and butterscotch the wine leaves you lost in random flavor descriptors as it soars off into a vinous glow that lasts for minutes. This may well be the greatest vintage wine of Henri Krug's career (unless it is challenged by the 2002). It is impossible to predict how long this wine will thrive in bottle, though considering the current fine condition of the 1959 Krug, the first 50 years are a given." (12/2008)

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2011 Domaine Roulot Meursault "Les Luchets" (95JS, 94RP, (89-91BH), 91ST, 90VN, 90WS). James Suckling: "A cooler floral style to a wine that has a fine, taut, citrusy note pith. The oak is nicely integrated and the mealy elements add savory interest. The palate has terrific layering and is smooth and supple; it shows yellow citrus fruits, pith and is bold with some very nicely layered and textural moments. Terrific." (02/2015)

1990 Noel Verset Cornas
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1990 Noel Verset Cornas (94ST, 93RP). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "At the time of its release I thought that Verset's 1990 Cornas was one of the best wines of the vintage in the northern Rhône and definitely the best example of Cornas for that year. Still deep ruby in color, it displays powerful aromas of cherry liqueur, blackberry and olive, with a minty aspect adding vivacity and lift. Round and seamless in texture, with sappy red and dark berry flavors and hints of spicecake and cola, this is aging very slowly and positively. A hint of fresh mint sneaks up with air, adding good back end bite to a long, supple finish. In an ample, plush style for Verset, you could drink this with great pleasure now or forget it for at least another ten years." (01/2015)

1986 Lynch-Bages, Pauillac
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1986 Lynch-Bages, Pauillac (94RP, 93ST, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1986 is finally emerging from the dormant stage that many of the wines from this vintage (especially the Medocs) have been going through. It is a full-bodied, still backward wine that will appeal to classicists and old line traditionalists given its firm structure and austere tannins. Nevertheless, the color is a healthy deep garnet and the wine exhibits wonderful freshness along with notes of underbrush, damp earth, black currants, cedar and new saddle leather. Well-balanced with good depth, medium to full body, and a tannic (although not excessively so) finish, this may not be the most finesse-styled, elegant Lynch Bages ever produced, but it is an interesting Pauillac that will benefit from another 3-4 years of cellaring. While it may never hit the peaks achieved by great Lynch Bages vintages, it will be one of those rare wines that will last 40+ years. (RP)" (08/2011)

1989 Nöel Verset Cornas
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 1989 Nöel Verset Cornas (95VN). Vinous: "I actually find the 1989 Cornas to be a shade better than the '90 right now, but at this stage, 25 years out, we're well into the bottle variation stage of wines' evolution so I could take a different view on any given day. The wine displays highly complex bouquet that evokes raspberry liqueur, incense, potpourri and smoky bacon, with a powerful Asian spice nuance adding lift. It offers palate-staining red fruit and floral pastille flavors, along with suggestions of licorice, olive and fruitcake. Weighty but vibrant, it finishes sweet, seamless and extremely long, with a deft interplay of richness and tension. I suspect that the Cornas will age for at least as long as its 1990 sibling and probably longer but there's plenty of pleasure to be had from it now. (JR)" (01/2015)

1991 M. Chapoutier "La Mordorée" Côte-Rôtie
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1991 M. Chapoutier "La Mordorée" Côte-Rôtie (100RP, 90ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "In the same class as the great single-vineyard Cote Roties made by Marcel Guigal (i.e., La Mouline, La Turque, and La Landonne), La Mordoree is most akin to La Mouline in its seductive, otherworldly fragrance and layers of sweet, expansive, velvety-textured fruit. There were 400 cases made of this saturated purple-colored wine. Its huge bouquet and spectacularly rich, layered personality offer an astonishing example of what low yields from a naturally farmed vineyard and an unfined, unfiltered winemaking philosophy can achieve. 2009 Harlan "The Maiden" Napa Valley Proprietary Red
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2009 Harlan "The Maiden" Napa Valley Proprietary Red (93RP, 92ST, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Proprietary Blend The Maiden wraps around the palate with dark cherries, plums, cinnamon, cloves and new leather. This is a surprisingly muscular style for the year, with quite a bit less of the early appeal than is found in many other wines. The aromas and flavors remain dark, powerful and brooding from start to finish. Flowers, cinnamon and mint add further complexity on the finish. (AG)" (12/2012)

2013 Booker "The Ripper" Paso Robles Grenache
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2013 Booker "The Ripper" Paso Robles Grenache (97RP, 93VN, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2013 The Ripper (Grenache) is up with some of the greatest expressions of this variety in California. Aged in a combination of concrete and neutral demi-muids, it offers truly spectacular notes of kirsch, black berries, rose petals, licorice and herbes de Provence as well as a full-bodied, rich, voluptuous and unctuously textured feel on the palate. Possessing thrilling purity of fruit, tons of glycerin, superb concentration and a blockbuster finish, drink this hedonistic and sexy Grenache anytime over the coming 7-8 years. (JD)" (08/2015)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2002 Dom Pérignon "Andy Warhol Trubute" Brut Champagne (OWC - 98VN, 96RP, 96W&S, 95WS) in original wood. Vinous: "The 2002 Dom Pérignon speaks to opulence and intensity. Rich, layered and voluptuous in the glass, the 2002 shows off its flamboyant personality with flair. Butter, cooked apple and tropically-leaning fruits mesh together effortlessly. Interestingly, with time in the glass the 2002 gains in freshness and energy without losing its essential opulence. The elevated ripeness of the year gives the 2002 Dom Pérignon distinctly Puligny-Montrachet leaning inflections...This is yet another fabulous showing from the 2002, which continues to cement its reputation as a truly epic Dom Pérignon." 2007 Quilceda Creek "Palengat Vineyard" Horse Heaven Hills Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2007 Quilceda Creek "Palengat Vineyard" Horse Heaven Hills Bordeaux Blend (96RP, 93ST, 92WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2007 Palengat Proprietary Red Wine is made up of 74% Cabernet Sauvignon, 16% Cabernet Franc, with the balance Merlot and Petit Verdot. Deep purple in color, it delivers a captivating nose of olives, herbs, Asian spices, blackberry, and plum. Medium to full-bodied and elegant on the palate, it has outstanding volume and concentration, an opulent texture, and a suave personality. Already complex, it will continue to evolve with another 5-7 years of cellaring. Drink it from 2015 to 2027. Quilceda Creek remains Washington's benchmark for world-class Cabernet Sauvignon. The Golitzins were ecstatic about the fruit quality in 2007, a near-perfect vintage from their perspective. (JM)" (08/2010)

Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "(100% vendange entier): Medium red. Aromas of redcurrant, tobacco, dusty spices and rose petal. Suave, precise and intense if still youthfully tight; this appears to possess the density and saline extract to support the whole-cluster vinification. Finishes with very fine-grained tannins, a light peppery note and lovely lingering perfume. Excellent potential here. (ST)" (01/2012)
