2011 Dalla Valle Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 2011 Dalla Valle Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95VN, 92ST, 91WS). Vinous: "The 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon has really come together over the last six months. Deep, layered and resonant, the 2011 is easily among the top wines of the year. New leather, spices, mocha and plum notes flesh out in the glass. The style is quite textured, especially in comparison with the other great wines of the year. Hints of sage, rosemary, new leather and cloves wrap around a pointed, beautifully articulated finish supported by insistent veins of salinity. (AG)" (11/2013)

Wine Spectator: "I love the purity of fruit in this wine, with perfectly ripe blackberry, blueberry and raspberry on the nose. Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2011 Domaine J-F Mugnier Chambolle Musigny 1er Cru "Les Amoureuses" ((92-94BH), 94VN, 92RP). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Relatively strong reduction gets in the way of a proper evaluation of the nose. By contrast there is a superb sense of energy and strikingly good detail to the penetratingly mineral-driven medium-bodied flavors that display an incredibly refined and ultra-pure mouth feel on the deeply complex and gorgeously persistent finish. This is a thing of beauty and textbook Amoureuses." (01/2013)

2001 Philip Togni "Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2001 Philip Togni "Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (97RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Togni’s 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon explodes onto the palate with layers of dark fruit, roasted coffee beans, autumn leaves and spices. This is an immensely satisfying wine graced with striking inner sweetness and a vibrancy that will drink well for another 15+ years. The density of the fruit at ten years of age is remarkable. The 2001 is a re-release from the estate’s library. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2027. (AG)" (12/2011)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1996 Domaine Comte de Vogüé Musigny Grand Cru Vieilles Vignes ((94-97RP), 96WS, 94ST, 93BH). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This bright, dark ruby-colored wine is exceptional. Its enticing nose reveals extraordinarily refined aromas of a myriad of flowers soaked in cherries, blueberries and traces of sweet mocha. This oily-textured, full-bodied, perfectly harmonious, and compellingly delineated wine could not be any more elegant. It possesses awesome depth, concentration, and purity in its violet and cherry cream pie-flavored personality. Moreover, its formidably long finish displays a strong yet satiny backbone. I predict it will evolve magnificently. (PR)" (08/1998)

1968 Petrus, Pomerol
Bid on this bottle of 1968 Petrus, Pomerol. While the 1968 vintage in Bordeaux was not roundly well received, James Suckling found in 1991, while writing for Wine Spectator, that the 1968 Petrus was "slightly more pleasant than the '73 to drink." Petrus, of course, remains among the most venerable properties of Bordeaux.

Wine Spectator: "This still very rich and alluring, with a core of dark roasted plum, black currant and blackberry fruit that still has an unctuous feel. There are additional floral and black tea notes, flashes of bergamot and clove, and a lingering tarry edge that supports the finish. Still throws a long shadow. (JM, Web-2012)"

2010 Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2010 Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98RP, 96VN, 95WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Rich, backwards, structured and massively concentrated, the 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon comes mostly from the Champoux Vineyard (also from Galitzine, Klipsun, Palengat and Tapteil) and is comprised of 99% Cabernet Sauvignon and 1% Merlot that spent 22 months in all new French oak. Offering up plenty of creme de cassis, coffee bean, toasted spice, pencil shavings and violet-like qualities on the nose, it has palate staining levels of extract and tannin that come through on the mid-palate and finish. 98+ (JD)" (06/2013)

1982 Margaux, Margaux
Bid on this bottle of 1982 Margaux, Margaux (97JS, 97RP, 97VN, 96ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1982 Chateau Margaux is a wine that I have tasted many times, constantly contrasted against the 1983 to see which is better. Frankly I found that it depends on the bottle, although maybe the 1983 edges it. But it is important to assess the 1982 on its own individual merits because it is a superb First Growth. This was a great bottle: fragrant and beautifully defined on the nose that on this occasion offered a more conspicuous graphite scent, which lent it a Pauillac-like personality. Allowing the wine to open and aerate, the traits one associates with the property emerge—wilted violets and rose petals. The palate is medium-bodied, fresh and mineral-laden, that suggestion of candied orange peel on the entry segueing into layers of pure red and black fruit. There is always something effortless about this Chateau Margaux and the pixelation on the finish is up there with the very best.

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Colgin "Tychson Hill Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP, 96JS, 96ST, 96VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Tychson Hill is an absolutely profound wine, dense, bluish purple color to the rim with a stunning nose of acacia flowers, graphite, blueberry and blackcurrant fruit. The wine is full-bodied and displays a multi-dimensional, skyscraper-like mouthfeel with no sense of heaviness or weight. An incredibly pure, rich, gorgeously constructed wine from a fabulous terroir, this is a stunner to drink now and over the next 30+ years. (RP)" (10/2015)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2014 Scarecrow Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC - 100RP, 96VN, 95WS) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The utterly perfect 2014 Scarecrow Cabernet Sauvignon (1,500 cases) has everything one could possibly want in a Cabernet. Inky purple-colored to the rim, with a glorious nose of white flowers, crème de cassis, hints of blackberry and boysenberry, some licorice and forest floor are followed by an enormously concentrated wine with fabulous purity, a skyscraper-like mid-palate and texture, a length of nearly a minute, and stunning flavors, with flawless integration of acidity, tannin, wood and alcohol. 2014 Kistler "Vine Hill Vineyard" Russian River Valley Chardonnay
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2014 Kistler "Vine Hill Vineyard" Russian River Valley Chardonnay (96RP, 94VN, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Opulently scented of exotic fruits and spices, the 2014 Chardonnay Vine Hill Road Vineyard offers up notes of ginger and anise over a core of pineapple paste, passion fruit and green guava. The palate is beautifully structured with a lively backbone of acid supporting the rich, seductive fruit, finishing long and creamy.Kistler Vineyards remains one of the absolute benchmark producers of great Sonoma Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, sitting right up there with the highest quality examples of these grapes from throughout the world. While the wines come from as wide a range of top terroirs as Sonoma can provide, interestingly nearly all of the Chardonnays are produced from a proprietary selection of Wente clones taken from a Larry Hyde block in the early 1980s. 2000 Pichon-Baron, Pauillac
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2000 Pichon-Baron, Pauillac (97RP, 94ST, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2000 Château Pichon Baron is just getting better and better and better. Perhaps the magnum format played its part, but nevertheless...just...wow. This is a millennial Left Bank with the keys to the top drawer. It has an incredibly precise, mineral-driven bouquet with intense black fruit infused with cedar and graphite scents. It just reeks of Pauillac in an almost uncompromising, yet compelling manner. The palate is structured, stylish and effortless, extraordinarily pure and unerringly youthful. This is a Pichon Baron saying, "You ain't seen nothing yet." You could broach this now if you wanted, but the clever people will wisely bunker this for another decade and gloat from 2025 onward. (NM)" (07/2016)

2001 Domaine des Lambrays Clos des Lambrays Grand Cru
Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 2001 Domaine des Lambrays Clos des Lambrays Grand Cru (93BH, 92VN). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A mature yet attractively fresh nose offers up floral, earthy and spicy red berry fruit aromas that are showing traces of secondary development and are trimmed in just enough wood to notice. There is a really lovely mouth feel to the beautifully well-detailed middle weight flavors that display a subtle mineral streak before culminating in a complex, balanced and lingering finish where a touch of the wood influence resurfaces. There isn't much unresolved tannin remaining and for my taste this has arrived on the front edge of its peak drinkability though it should remain here for at least another decade. 2001 is an elegant vintage for this wine and I very much like it." Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1999 Domaine Armand Rousseau Ruchottes-Chambertin-Clos des Ruchottes Grand Cru (94RP, (88-90BH)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1999 Clos des Ruchottes is tussling with the 1996 as the best of the decade. Lucid, almost iridescent in color, the bouquet explodes across the sky with voluptuous aromas of cassis, black cherries and vanilla pod. Brilliantly defined and focused, it is utterly beguiling. The palate is very well balanced with silky smooth tannins that just glide across the mouth. Cashmere! It fans out gloriously toward its crescendo with lush plum and blackberry notes, but underneath there is a minerally core to counterbalance the sheer sexiness of this wine. Fabulous, but you need patience to really appreciate it. Drink 2018-2040. (NM) 94+" (12/2013)

Huge, superripe nose combines black plum, brown spices, mocha, chocolate and roasted herbs. Voluptuous, superripe and very sweet, with a lushness of texture rare for young Bonnes-Mares. This has freshness and thrust, thanks to the inherent structure of this grand cru, but seems almost too sweet for Bonnes-Mares. Finishes very long, with sweet, fine, building tannins. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Pierra comes from the winery’s steepest slopes on its highest eastern valley elevation. Some minerality can be found, but the wine is currently dominated by its gorgeous dark black cherry component. This meaty, full-bodied, opulent 2012 possesses good acidity, excellent tannin, real sucrosity and generosity, and a full-bodied, long finish. It should turn out to be something special. Silky, polished tannins support dark raspberry notes, cloves, spices and mint. With time in the glass the wine turns increasingly delicious as all the elements meld together with supreme grace. 2008 Saxum "James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2008 Saxum "James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (98RP, 97WS, 95ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2008 James Berry Vineyard (52% Grenache, 31% Mourvedre, and 17% Syrah) saw some of its Grenache aged in the concrete eggs that are now catching on among some of the top producers on California’s Central Coast. With strong minerality from the limestone soil, this exuberant, fleshy, full-bodied wine is already drinking well. (I believe it was actually bottled just a day or two before my visit, which makes its performance that much more remarkable.) Dense purple, with sweet notes of barbecue smoke and meats as well as roasted herbs, extravagant black cherry, black currant, and blackberry fruit are all present in this wine, but there is plenty of underlying structure that comes from both the minerality and the Mourvedre component. Pure, full-bodied, but again, impressively elegant and nuanced, this is a tour de force and another prodigious example of

Vibrant and explosive, the 2013 is a terrific example of the year. The flavors are dark, bold and incisive, but the 2013 has a sense of total harmony I have rarely seen here before. This dark, brooding Cabernet is going to need time in bottle, but it is super-impressive, even today. (AG)" (10/2015)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Another brilliant offering from one of the true first-growth sites in Napa Valley is the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To-Kalon Vineyard. Graphite, crème de cassis and spice box characteristics jump from the glass of this dense purple-colored Cabernet Sauvignon. Thick but fresh with gorgeously ripe fruit, a full-bodied mouthfeel and a long finish, this is a terrific example of Cabernet Sauvignon. It will drink well young and over the next 15+ years. Bid on this bottle of 1999 Quilceda Creek Washington Cabernet Sauvignon (98RP, 94WS, 93ST, 93WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The sumptuous 1999 Cabernet Sauvignon is a dark ruby-colored wine with mouth-watering aromas of highly expressive blackberries awash in toasted oak and roasting spices. Medium to full-bodied, thick, concentrated, and exquisitely balanced, this mouth-coating tour de force is densely packed with jammy black fruits and cassis liqueur. It combines elegance with power in a manner reminiscent of Chateaux Margaux's prodigious 1990. This velvety-textured wine is complete, with magnificent depth of fruit, a profound personality, and the requisite structure for long-term cellaring. Bravo! (PR)" (12/2002)

It shows marvelous detail and completeness in its perfumed red berries, mint, flowers and licorice. Tar, ash and a host of other darker nuances add considerable complexity. This is a marvelous showing. Anticipated maturity: 2017-2029. This is a thrilling set of wines from the gregarious Betty O’Shaughnessy and her winemaker Sean Capiaux. The Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon includes a host of other varieties, while the Mt. Veeder bottling is 100% Cabernet. Both wines spend 20 months in French oak barrels and are bottled without fining or filtration. (AG)" (12/2011)

2010 Paul Lato "Atticus - John Sebastiano Vineyard" Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Paul Lato "Atticus - John Sebastiano Vineyard" Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir (93RP, 93VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A larger-scaled style of Pinot emerges in the 2010 Pinot Noir Atticus John Sebastiano Vineyard. This is a distinctly big, fruit-driven Pinot long on style and personality. The yields are extremely low in this site, and while the wine has fabulous concentration, it also lacks the finesse of the best wines in the lineup. 93+ Today, my impression is that the Atticus needs time to settle down a touch, although it will always retain some of its pure and, at times, rough-around-the-edges, enthusiasm. 93+ Points. Of the 2008 Rivers-Marie "Summa Old Vines" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir,Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar writes: "Medium red. Red fruits, licorice and spicy oak lifted by orange zest, minerals, mint and a whiff of rhubarb. Densely packed and plump, with a breadth of texture that belies its modest alcohol level. Boasts excellent red berry energy and sap; there's a crushed fruit quality here that reminded me of Chambolle. The long, rising finish is sweet but quite firm, with plenty of fruit tannins to support the 100% new oak treatment. This fascinating and satisfying wine made

Of the 2004 Beaulieu Vineyard "Georges de Latour" Private Reserve Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon,Wine Enthusiast writes: "BV Private Reserve has been on a real roll. This Georges is enormous and impressive, gigantic in fruit, explosive in blackberry tart, cherry pie, blueberry, plum, cigar box and vanilla aromas and flavors. 1994 Pichon-Lalande, Pauillac
Bid on this bottle of 1994 Pichon-Lalande, Pauillac (91RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of the stars of the vintage, this opaque purple-colored wine possesses a gorgeously perfumed, exotic, smoky, blackcurrant, Asian spice, and sweet vanillin-scented bouquet. It is followed by thick, rich, moderately tannic flavors that exhibit medium to full body, good structure, outstanding purity, and a classically layered, long, pure finish. 1997 Spottswoode Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 1997 Spottswoode Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98RP, 94WS, 93CG, 91VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A blend of 95% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Cabernet Franc, the 1997 is just short of perfection from this great vintage in Napa Valley. A spectacular wine, it was the first made by Rosemary Cakebread. Production was quite high, as the new plantings started to fully produce, with 4,800+ cases declared. This is wine that fills the olfactory senses with gorgeous ripeness, blueberries, black raspberries, blackberries and cassis, while spring flowers and a touch of oak still lingers in the aromatics. When the wine hits the palate, the extraordinary intensity, purity and multi-dimensional complexity all seem to converge with a cascade of fruit, glycerin and richness. Like most Spottswoode Cabernet Sauvignons, it is only 13.8% alcohol. This is a magnificent wine, a young adolescent in the scheme of its potentially fascinating evolution and should have a good 25-30+ yea
