2006 Pelissero "Vanotu" Barbaresco (3L) (OWC)
Bid on this 3L-bottle lot of 2006 Pelissero "Vanotu" Barbaresco (3L) (OWC - 94ST, 93RP) in original wood. Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Aged for 22 months in new barriques . Deep red with ruby highlights. Distinctly blacker on the nose than the Tulin, with hints of black cherry, cassis, licorice, violet and spicy, smoky oak. Broad, silky and voluminous without coming across as heavy thanks to lift from the limestone in the soil. Not yet expressive in the middle palate, but there's serious ripeness and richness here and the major, oak-driven tannins are chewy and sweet. Pelissero took his time to harvest in 2006, and picked these vines late) the wine has a higher-than-normal pH of 3.55. Quite long on the aftertaste. This boasts the structure and complexity for an extended evolution in bottle, but today it's an infant. As impressive a Barbaresco as I've yet tasted from this producer. (ST)" (11/2009)

Bid on this 3-half-bottle lot of 2003 Schrader "Beckstoffer To Kalon, T6" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (375ml) (99RP, 95WS, 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Virtually perfect, the 2003 Cabernet Sauvignon T6 Beckstoffer To- Kalon Vineyard offers up an awesome display of fragrant creosote, white chocolate, blackberries, cassis, cedarwood and incense. Full-bodied with a multidimensional mouthfeel, excellent opulence and layers of fruit, it possesses stunning purity and richness, a phenomenally fragrant nose (the most aromatic of all these Schrader Cabs), and a long finish. Of the 2005 Sine Qua Non "Mr. K Straw Man" Marsanne Vin de Paille (375ml),Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "Even more remarkable is the 2005 Mr. K. Marsanne Vin de Paille The Straw Man. One-hundred percent Marsanne from the Beckmen Vineyard, with remarkably low alcohol (7.5%), a whopping 392 grams of residual sugar per liter, and exceptional acidity (6.4 grams of acid per liter), this is one of the most singular sweet wines I have ever tasted. It rivals the great 2000 Suey that was made from Roussanne and ended up with 241 grams of residual sugar. Bid on this bottle of 2006 Latour, Pauillac (96WE, 95ST, 95WS, 94RP). Wine Enthusiast: "***Cellar Selection*** Latour has always had the reputation of producing great wines in the less great vintages. The 2006 is a case in point. It brings structure and ripeness into a form that is almost ethereal. That elegance doesn’t take away from the powerful fruit. The fruit in fact melds into the structure with ease. And, as a reminder this is a 2006, the density gives way to freshness on the finish. (RV)" (03/2009)

Medium to full-bodied with supple tannin and a fleshy, juicy, very succulent and multi-layered mid-palate, this expansive, velvety wine has entered its plateau of maturity, where it should remain (assuming good storage) for at least another 10-15 years. Dense, medium to full-bodied, with high levels of tannin in a big, full-bodied style (much in the spirit of such classic Bordeaux vintages as 1966, 1986, and 1996), this wine possesses superb purity and serious length, but should be purchased only by those with considerable patience and a good, cold cellar, since it will need plenty of time. Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2012 La Mondotte, St-Emilion (OWC - 95JS, 95RP, 94VN, 94WS) in original wood. The wine’s opulence and voluptuous character compare to its greatest vintages, such as 1998, 2000, 2005, 2009 and 2010. 1995 Haut-Brion, Pessac-Léognan
Bid on this bottle of 1995 Haut-Brion, Pessac-Léognan (96RP, 95WS, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "It is fun to go back and forth between the 1995 and 1996, two superb vintages for Haut-Brion. The 1995 seems to have sweeter tannin and a bit more fat and seamlessness when compared to the more structured and muscular 1996. Certainly 1995 was a vintage that the brilliant administrator Jean Delmas handled flawlessly. The result is a deep ruby/purple-colored wine with a tight but promising nose of burning wood embers intermixed with vanilla, spice box, earth, mineral, sweet cherry, black currant, plum-like fruit, medium to full body, a high level of ripe but sweet tannin, and a finish that goes on for a good 40-45 seconds. 2011 Domaine Bruno Clair Bonnes-Mares Grand Cru
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2011 Domaine Bruno Clair Bonnes-Mares Grand Cru (93BH, 93ST, 92RP). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Bright medium red. Vibrant aromas of blueberry, wild herbs and pepper. Intensely flavored, dense and light on its feet; at once smooth and energetic, offering an uncanny combination of black fruit lift and deeper-pitched soil tones. Remarkably seamless, even round, for a young Bonnes-Mares but with the structure and balance to reward eight to ten years of cellaring. Consistent from start to finish. 93+ (ST)" (03/2014)

2009 Domaine Henri Boillot Bonnes-Mares Grand Cru
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2009 Domaine Henri Boillot Bonnes-Mares Grand Cru ((93-96ST)). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Red-ruby. Knockout nose combines dark berries, violet, bacon fat, smoke and pepper; I was reminded of a t opnotch Cote-Rotie. Lush and sweet but not quite as complex as the Chambertin and Clos de Beze. This offers extraordinary finesse and smoothness for Bonnes-Mares, with perfectly integrated acidity framing the flavors without introducing any edges to the wine. Finishes extremely long and sweet, with a subtle element of smoked meat. Boillot is convinced that this wine will shut down in bottle owing to its "tannic mass." (ST)" (01/2011)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2011 Domaine Raveneau Chablis Grand Cru "Blanchot" (94VN, 93BH, 92RP). Vinous: "Layers of rich, expressive fruit resonate off the palate as the 2011 Chablis Blanchot emerges from the glass. A picture-perfect example of the vintage, the Blanchot is super-expressive, even at this early stage. Citrus, honey and spice nuances flesh out in an expansive, generous Chablis that will drink well with minimum cellaring. (AG)" (08/2013)

1996 Domaine Comtes Lafon Volnay 1er Cru "Santenots-Du-Milieu"
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 1996 Domaine Comtes Lafon Volnay 1er Cru "Santenots-Du-Milieu" (94RP, 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This is one of Dominique Lafon’s best wines of the 1990s and easily surpasses the 1995. It has a wonderful bouquet that is very focused: raspberry, a touch of cassis, Indian ink and just a suggestion of singed leather. It has a sweet entry on the palate that is underpinned by fine tannins and an elegant, sensual finish that lacquers but never oppresses the mouth. There is wonderful tension and purity in this Volnay, perhaps in some ways auguring the style of wine post-2000. You can drink this now, though I would prefer to leave the 1996 another five years because there is a lot to come. Drink now-2026. (NM)" (12/2013)

2014 Maybach Family "Materium" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2014 Maybach Family "Materium" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The flagship, the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Materium, represents 560 cases and achieved 14.8% alcohol after aging in 90% new Taransaud and Darnajou casks. Remarkably, the wine matches the perfect 2013, with extraordinary fragrance of blueberry, blackberry, forest floor, truffle, spring flowers and background barbecue smoke followed by a thick, unctuously textured, juicy, but incredibly well-balanced, intense wine. This is built like a skyscraper with enormous quantities of blueberry, blackberry and cassis fruit, well-integrated acidity and sweet, gentle tannins. This is an extraordinary effort from Maybach that can be drunk now or cellared for up to 30 or more years. (RP)" (10/2016)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2002 Hundred Acre "Kayli Morgan" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC - 100RP, 94VN, 94WS) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This fabulous wine from the eastern hillsides of northern Napa Valley, not far from the Eisele Vineyard, boasts an inky/blue/purple color as well as an extraordinary perfume of mulberries, black cherries, cassis, graphite, forest floor and charcoal, an astonishing texture, a full-bodied opulence and extraordinary richness and length. It is a modern day legend that tastes even younger than it did 7-10 years ago. These wines have an amazing ability to firm up and become even richer and more complex, which is exactly what great winemaking and terroir can do. Kudos to Jason Woodbridge for another sensational wine. For those concerned about alcohol, the label shows 15.9%, but there is not a trace of warmth in this beauty. It will last for at least another 20-25 years, perhaps longer. (RP)" (06/2012)

1961 Gaja Barbaresco
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1961 Gaja Barbaresco (95VN, 92WS). Vinous: "An eye-opening wine, the 1961 Barbaresco (Infernot) is one of the very best wines I have tasted from Gaja. The 1961 is impressive on many counts, but I am simply blown away by the sheer richness and depth of the fruit. According to Angelo Gaja, this bottling (see the picture in this article) was the last lot of the 1961 to be bottled and probably spent 8-9 years in cask. Although hard to imagine today, demand for Barolo and Barbaresco was so sporadic back then that wines were bottled only as they were sold, and sales were nothing like they are today. Gaja goes on to add that 1961 was an exceptionally hot year and that the harvest was completely done by the end of September, which was unheard of at the time. The fermenting vats got so hot that ice was added to try to bring temperatures down. Sugars were extremely high, and the wines had a hard time finishing fermentation. A little known fact is that Gaja had to take

2007 Levy & McClellan Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (OWC)
Bid on this bottle of 2007 Levy & McClellan Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (OWC - 96RP, 95ST) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon has closed down slightly since last year. Now in bottle, it exhibits an opaque purple color as well as a similar but more subdued bouquet of lead pencil shavings, burning embers, blueberry liqueur, creme de cassis and flowers. Powerful, rich and pure, its statuesque structure, lavish concentration and formidable tannin levels suggest 3-5 years of bottle age is warranted. This may turn out to be the finest Cabernet Sauvignon produced in the short history of the Levy and McClellan Diamond Mountain winery, although the 2008 has the potential to equal it. The 2007 should last for three decades or more. (RP)" (12/2010)

2010 Domaine Tollot Beaut Corton Charlemagne Grand Cru
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2010 Domaine Tollot Beaut Corton Charlemagne Grand Cru (93BH, 91WS). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A subtle application of wood frames the distinctly restrained if admirably pure aromas of green apple, pear, white flower and wet stone. There is excellent richness to the concentrated and extract-rich big-bodied flavors that exhibit plenty of muscle where the extract imparts an attractively textured character to the emphatically dry, balanced, overtly austere and wonderfully persistent finish. This should age very well." (06/2012)

1996 Dominus Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1996 Dominus Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (95RP, 94JS, 93ST, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1996 Dominus, a blend of 82% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc, 4% Merlot, and 4% Petit Verdot, tips the scales at 14.2% alcohol. Although this offering lacks the power, intensity, and compelling characteristics of the 1991 and 1994, it is not far off the pace of those two monumental wines. A super nose of roasted coffee, chocolate, dried herbs, black fruits and kirsch is both intense and persuasive. The wine displays terrific richness, medium to full body, low acidity, a succulent, opulent texture, and superb purity. This beautifully made 1996 is one of the few wines that has successfully tamed the vintage's elevated tannin level. It should be relatively drinkable upon its release, yet evolve nicely for two decades. Impressive! (RP)" (12/1998)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2011 Saxum "Paderewski Vineyard" Paso Robles Red Blend (97RP, 94ST, 94VN, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Kicking off the 2011s and about as seductive and sexy as they come in the vintage, the 2011 Paderewski Vineyard is an eclectic blend of 34% Zinfandel, 31% Mourvedre, 16% Tempranillo, 10% Syrah and 9% Petite Sirah that comes from a warmer terroir of chalky, calcareous soils. Full-bodied, seamless and perfectly balanced, it offers brilliant aromas and flavors of black raspberry, rose petal, bramble and violets that are to die for. A big wine to be sure, yet it stays remarkably elegant, poised and fresh on the palate, with no hard edges and an approachable, utterly impossible-to-resist profile that keeps you pouring another glass. Enjoy this gorgeous wine anytime over the coming 10-12 years. (JD)" (08/2014)

2007 Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2007 Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP, 96WE, 95ST, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A monumental wine in the making, the 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon is one of those wines that presents such an over the top array of aromas and flavors that it’s hard to figure out what you think about it with just a quick glance. It’s only with the second or third sip that you really start to see how special this effort truly is. Offering up perfumed, intense aromas of plum, violets, ink, licorice and black currants, it flows onto the palate with a massive, incredibly full-bodied texture that builds through the mid-palate and carries layers of polished tannins, awesome purity of fruit and blockbuster length. Most likely not for everyone given the sheer size, it is an incredible wine in my opinion. Still tasting like a barrel sample, it will have 30+ total years of longevity. Drink 2017-2037. Bid on this half-bottle lot of 2002 Sine Qua Non "Mr. K The Noble Man" Edna Valley Chardonnay (375ml) (94RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2002 Mr. K The Noble Man (321 grams per liter of residual sugar and 10.25 grams per liter of acidity) is made from 100% botrytised Chardonnay. Its medium gold color is followed by a wine with honeyed complexity, and huge body, sweetness, and thickness.
