2004 Bernard Morey Puligny Montrachet La Truffiere (3L)
Bid on this 3L-bottle lot of 2004 Bernard Morey Puligny Montrachet La Truffiere (3L) (93BH, 92ST). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Six years into its aging curve this remains a strikingly elegant white with spiced pear, extremely subtle wood toast and floral aromas of marvelous complexity that merge seamlessly into citrus and mineral-infused medium-bodied flavors that are punchy, naturally sweet and racy, all wrapped in an almost painfully intense and cut-like-a-knife finish. While 20 to 30 minutes in a decanter renders this enjoyable now, I would advise allowing this to slumber for another 2 to 3 years first. Tasted twice recently with consistent notes and no sign of premox either. (AM)" (04/2010)

2011 Sine Qua Non "Patine - Eleven Confessions Vineyard" Santa Rita Hills Grenache
Bid on this bottle of 2011 Sine Qua Non "Patine - Eleven Confessions Vineyard" Santa Rita Hills Grenache (97RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Coming all from Manfred's Eleven Confessions Vineyard in the Sta. Rita Hills and a blend of 77% Grenache, 22% Syrah and 1% Viognier (fermented with 25% whole clusters), the 2011 Grenache Patine spent a full 33 months in almost all neutral oak, with just 11% being new. It offers perfumed and spice-laced notes of white pepper, black raspberry, blackberry and ground herbs that flow to a full-bodied, elegant, nicely concentrated 2011 that has nicely integrated acidity, no hard edges and a terrific finish. It's certainly one of the fresher, more elegant Grenaches from Manfred, yet it still has rocking levels of fruit. Give it 2-3 years of cellaring and enjoy bottles over the following decade. Bid on this bottle of 2002 Domaine des Comtes Lafon Meursault Clos de la Barre ((91-93RP), 92BH, (89-91ST)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Honeyed minerals are drenched with an herbal liqueur in the fabulous aromatics of the 2002 Meursault Clos de La Barre. This broad, ample, sexy wine is hugely decadent. Medium-bodied, thick, and fleshy, it is a deep, intensely flavored, spicy effort. (PR)" (02/2004)

2010 Saxum "Broken Stones" Paso Robles Rhône Blend
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Saxum "Broken Stones" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (96RP, 94ST, 93AG, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Even more perfumed and up-front aromatically, the 2010 Broken Stones is a brilliant effort. A multi-vineyard blend of 63% Syrah, 19% Mourvedre, 15% Grenache, and 3% Petite Sirah that was aged mostly in new French oak, it offers up a gorgeously pure array of black raspberry, charcoal, licorice, lavender, and assorted floral qualities on the nose. This flows to a full-bodied, deft, and elegant palate that has no hard edges, a weightless feel, and masses of fine, yet firm tannin on the finish. Give bottles another year or three, and then drink over the following 12-15 years. (JD)" (07/2014)

2008 Joseph Drouhin Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru "Les Petits Monts"
Bid on this bottle of 2008 Joseph Drouhin Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru "Les Petits Monts" (91BH, 91RP, 91ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "From Veronique Drouhin-Boss’s personal acreage, the 2008 Vosne-Romanee Les Petits Monts – of which there are but three barrels – smells alluringly of cassis, dark cherry and citrus oils along with white pepper, soy, and ginger. Sweetly ripe and pungently spicy, it turns impressively dark and brooding as it moves toward its finish, with peat, chalk, and forest floor elements, its abundant tannins fine-grained and well-shrouded. Cinnamon and clove add to the persistence of ginger in a succulent, at once vivacious and transparent yet (metaphorically) darkly-hued finish. Several years of cellaring would be advisable here and I expect the wine will remain worth following for at least a dozen years. (DS)" (06/2010)

Very pure, complex nose melds black cherry, minerals, black pepper, wild herbs and an earthy nuance. Large-scaled, sweet and rich, with a strong mineral underpinning to the flavors of black cherry and spices. A very powerful and impressive Clos Vougeot with outstanding persistence. Bid on this magnum of 2012 Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru (1.5L) ((91-93BH), 93VN, (90-92RP)). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Once again reduction flattens the fruit and renders the nose difficult to evaluate. There is excellent richness and superb volume to the muscular and quite fleshy middle weight plus flavors that display plenty of stoniness on the very rich and mouth coating finish. This is a big wine even by the typically full-sized standards of the appellation yet there is no sense of heaviness or lack of vibrancy." (06/2014)

2011 Colgin "IX Estate" Napa Valley Syrah
Bid on this bottle of 2011 Colgin "IX Estate" Napa Valley Syrah (97VN, (91-93RP), 93ST). Vinous: "Colgin's 2011 Syrah IX Estate has always been magnificent from barrel and it is equally compelling now that it is in bottle. Inky, dark and explosive, the 2011 bursts from the glass with blue/purple/black fruit, menthol, cloves emerge from an intense, fruit-driven Syrah loaded with class and personality. There are no hard edges or angular contours in this drop-dead gorgeous wine. Savory notes are just beginning to develop, but ideally the 2011 needs a few more years in bottle to develop its bouquet. In 2011 Colgin was particularly severe with their selection, which resulted in the lowest production ever of Syrah at IX Estate. (AG)" (11/2013)

Of the 1996 Pichon-Baron, Pauillac,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "Pichon Longueville Baron's 1996 has turned out to be even better than I thought from cask. The high percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon in the blend (about 80%) resulted in a wine that has put on weight in the bottle. An opaque purple color is accompanied by beautiful aromas of tobacco, new saddle leather, roasted coffee, and cassis. It is dense, medium to full-bodied, and backward, with moderately high tannin, but plenty of sweet fruit, glycerin, and extract to balance out the wine's structure. This well-endowed, classic Pauillac should be at its finest between 2006-2022." (04/1999)

2012 Cayuse "Armada Vineyard" Walla Walla Valley Syrah
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Cayuse "Armada Vineyard" Walla Walla Valley Syrah (96RP, 95WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Another longer-term prospect is the 2012 Syrah Armada Vineyard. One of the more burly, structured releases from this estate, it's always poured after the Bionic Frog and is the last Syrah we taste in a vintage. The 2012 gives up lots of iodine, raw meats and floral notes that are balanced by a core of distinct black raspberry fruit, which in most vintages veers more toward the darker, more plummy side of the spectrum. Full-bodied, tight and yet nicely concentrated, with good tannin, it should be at its best from 2018-2028." (06/2015)

The long, dense finish has a great tug of iron buried within it. Best from 2011 through 2030. (JM)" (04/2008)

There is excellent richness and vibrancy to the suave, round and seductively textured flavors that possess superior depth, balance and length. This potentially outstanding effort will require 5 to 7 years of cellar time to arrive at its apogee. Drink: 2015+" (02/2011)

Allen Meadows - Burghound: " *Don't Miss!* The ripest wine to this point with a distinctly floral component adding nuance to the cassis and blackberry aromas that precede the rich, full, serious and sleekly muscled flavors that are supported by a concentrated, tannic and hugely long finish. This is not an elegant wine or even especially sophisticated yet it's an absolutely serious wine built for the very long haul. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2008 Domaine Raveneau Chablis 1er Cru "Montée Tonnerre" (94BH, (93-94RP), (93-94ST)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Iris, narcissus, peony, heliotrope, lemon, white peach, and litchi combine for the knockout nose of Raveneau’s 2008 Chablis Montee de Tonnerre. Uncannily combining a sense of textural richness, underlying extract, and decisively stony, alkaline, chalky, oyster shell minerality that go beyond its fellow premier crus in this collection. Yet this preserves a vintage-typical core of primary juiciness that helps convey lip-smacking appeal. Musky, sweet floral notes cling to the prodigiously long, expansive, finish of this almost certainly relatively un-evolved wine. Give it several years in bottle and expect to be rewarded for over a decade. (DS)" (10/2010)

2001 Hundred Acre "Kayli Morgan" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2001 Hundred Acre "Kayli Morgan" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98RP, 94ST, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Having performed spectacularly well last year in the retrospective of ten-year old Napa Cabernets, this 2001 remains incredibly young, with all of its potential waiting to burst forth. Its dense purple color is followed by notes of mulberries, creme de cassis, blackberries, licorice, graphite and subtle smoke. The wine reveals fabulous fruit along with full-bodied power and a seamless integration of acidity, tannin, alcohol and wood. In 1980, in addition to the old Devil’s Hill vineyard, we were offered the Lake vineyard previously made by Freemark Abbey as well as the young vines on Dynamite Hill. Of the 2012 Booker "Vertigo 24" Paso Robles Rhône Blend,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "Still in barrel, the 2012 Vertigo 24 release shows a similar level of purity to go with killer aromatics (black raspberry, bouquet garni and licorice), full-bodied richness and a layered, decadent style on the palate. It has a tad more richness and depth than the straight bottling, and is an incredible red. Created in 2005, owner/winemaker Eric Jenson has pushed Booker Vineyard into the top 2-3 estates in the region. Sandalwood, exotic spices, herbs, violets, and assorted black fruits inform the nose of a layered, succulent, plush, bordering on opulent wine that is beautifully balanced and already complex. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Pride Mountain "Reserve" Sonoma-Napa Counties Claret (98RP, 96CG, 95VN, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Claret Reserve is a blend of 66% Merlot, 29% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Petit Verdot aged in 40% new French oak for 22 months. The bulk of the fruit comes from the Sonoma side of their vineyards, with about 28% from Napa. There are 586 cases of this red, which is one of the more potent wines in the Pride lineup at 14.9% alcohol. The wine has great intensity, a full-bodied mouthfeel, and loads of créme de cassis, chocolate, plum, licorice and foresty undertones. Full-bodied, with oodles of glycerin, a highly extracted, silky mouthfeel, terrific purity, and length of a good 45 to 50 seconds, this fabulous effort can be drunk now or cellared for 12-15+ years. 1970 Louis Martini California Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 7-bottle lot of 1970 Louis Martini California Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon. The story of Louis Martini is a key chapter in Napa's winemaking history. Genovese immigrant Louis Martini established his first business in 1922, smack in the middle of Prohibition (in force in the US from 1919 until 1933). He was therefore limited to making "sacramental and medicinal" wines at first. With the end of prohibition, Martini became one the first winemakers in California to produce vintage varietal table wines in quantity, and at reasonable prices. His son's 1968/70 Merlot was the first varietal Merlot made in the US. Sourced from prime vineyards in Napa and Sonoma, including Monte Rosso in the mountains above Sonoma Valley and La Loma in the cool Carneros district south of Napa, and made with care and expertise, Louis Martini wines have aged exceptionally well. With their hallmark of impeccable balance, older Louis Martini Cabs never cease to amaze.

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1966 Inglenook "Cask F-29" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Wine Spectator writes: "For most wine lovers, the Inglenook that thrived under the leadership of visionary owner John Daniel Jr. is a distant and fading memory, if it registers at all. The man who dedicated his life to uncommonly high winemaking standards died years ago, broken, bitter and disillusioned after financial hard times forced him to sell this Napa Valley treasure. But those who have had the opportunity to taste Daniel's Inglenook Cabernets know that they are among the greatest red wines ever made. The string of magnificent vintages made by Daniel and his stern and exacting winemaker, George Deuer, began in the 1930s with the repeal of Prohibition and ended in the 1960s with his sale of the winery...The Cask numbers refer to certain wines, but research has failed to uncover any links to specific vineyard sites or blends." 2004 Margaux, Margaux
Bid on this bottle of 2004 Margaux, Margaux (96W&S, 96WE, 94ST, 94WS, 93RP). Wine Enthusiast: "If one of 2004’s enduring characteristics is its freshness, then Margaux epitomizes this. It is so deliciously fresh and floating, with great black currant and blueberry fruits, pointed up by spice, mint and a sense of elegance and poise. There’s no doubt about its aging potential either: just feel that heart of firm tannins. (RV)" (06/2007)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A healthy, youthful dark plum/ruby/purple color is followed by a bouquet of smoke, barbecued meats, black currants and new saddle leather. With full body and sweet tannin, this 2003 is strutting its stuff...it is a complex, classic Pauillac to enjoy over the next decade. (RP)" (08/2014)

2003 Tenuta dell'Ornellaia "Ornellaia" Bolgheri Superiore
Bid on this bottle of 2003 Tenuta dell'Ornellaia "Ornellaia" Bolgheri Superiore (93RP, 92ST, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2003 Ornellaia (magnum) is another impressive wine. Owing to the heat of the vintage, this is an especially ripe, opulent Ornellaia. The blend contains a higher percentage of Cabernet Franc and less Merlot than is the norm, which helps preserve a measure of freshness. It is also the first vintage where Petit Verdot is part of the blend. Dark, jammy fruit is nicely balanced by a vein of minerality that gives the wine clarity and length, yet the tannins are a touch less finessed than in the finest years, which is consistent with the quality of the vintage. The final blend is 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc and 5% Petit Verdot, aged a total of 18 months in French oak, 70% new. This is without question a very impressive 2003. Anticipated maturity: 2010-2020. (AG)" (01/2010)

2000 Pavie, St-Emilion
Bid on this bottle of 2000 Pavie, St-Emilion (100RP, 96WS, 95ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Just beginning to come around and strut its enormous potential, this wine at age 15 has been evolving like a glacier. The wine has an inky, opaque, plum/purple color and a stunningly rich nose of mulberries, bramble berries, blackberries, licorice and incense as well as touches of toast and graphite. Fabulously concentrated and full-bodied, with a multidimensional mouthfeel, this profound Pavie is in mid-adolescence. It should evolve and continue to drink well for at least another 30-40 years. This is clearly the first compelling effort made by the Perse family. (RP)" (08/2015)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2002 La Pousse d'Or Volnay 1er Cru "Clos de la Bousse d'Or" ((92-93RP), 92BH, 91ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2002 Volnay Clos de la Bousse d’Or displays a nose of meaty, waxy black cherries. Almost syrupy on the palate, this medium to full-bodied wine assaults the taster with intense waves of velvety black cherries. This wine displays great concentration, balance, and an admirably long, seamless finish. Anticipated maturity: 2007-2018. (PR)" (06/2004)

Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A ripe and expressive nose mixes red and blue pinot fruit liqueur with violet and rose petal nuances. There is excellent size, weight and volume to the intense and powerful flavors that exude a sleek muscularity on the explosive and exceptionally compact finish. This is basically a block of stone right now and will need plenty of time to unwind but once it does, it should be more than worth the weight as this concentrated effort is packed with potential. 2008 Dehlinger Russian River Valley Claret
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2008 Dehlinger Russian River Valley Claret (93RP, 90ST, 89WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2008 Claret (100% Cabernet Sauvignon) is a gorgeous wine. Blackberries, cassis, graphite, spices and menthol are some of the nuances that emerge from the glass. The wine shows terrific intensity all the way through to the finish. The tannins could use another year to soften, but this is nevertheless an impressive showing. In 2008 the Claret includes fruit from one of the estate's oldest parcels, originally planted in 1975. According to Tom Dehlinger, during blending trials this juice didn't seem to fit in with the Estate Cabernet, so it was used for the Claret. I am not sure if its inclusion is the reason why, but the Claret is absolutely gorgeous in 2008. This is a beautiful wine for the money and easily one of the top values in California Cabernet Sauvignon. (RP)" (02/2012)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2010 Domaine Grand Veneur "Les Origines" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (95RP, 93ST, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Another blockbuster is the 2010 Chateauneuf du Pape Les Origines. A blend of 50% Grenache, 30% Syrah and 20% Mourvedre (45- to-95-year-old vines) aged in small oak, it exhibits an opaque purple color as well as a sweet bouquet of blackberries, espresso roast, ink and graphite. While clearly a modern-styled Chateauneuf du Pape, it retains plenty of the region's typicity and authenticity. It should drink well for 15+ years. (RP)" (10/2012)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Domaine de la Mordorée "Reine des Bois" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (95RP, 94VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of the blockbusters in the vintage, the inky-colored 2012 Châteauneuf du Pape La Reine des Bois – 80% Grenache, completely destemmed and aged 12 months in 80% stainless steel and 20% old barrels – offers fantastic richness and depth in its blackberry liqueur, graphite, wood smoke and crushed-rock-like aromas and flavors. An elegant, stylish and polished example of this cuvée, it comes closest in my mind to a lighter-weight 2010. Medium to full-bodied, concentrated and with fine tannin, it will drink well for 10-15 years. (JD)" (10/2014)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2011 Clos Saint-Jean "Combe des Fous" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (97RP, 93ST, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Starting with the 2011 Chateauneuf du Pape Combe des Fous, it's easily one of the wines of the vintage and offers killer creme de cassis, kirsch, spice box, creamy licorice and toasted bread to go with a full-bodied, seamless, elegant and layered profile the palate. While showing the forward, approachable nature of the vintage, it has ample sweet tannin, rock-solid mid-palate concentration and blockbuster length. (JD)" (08/2014)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Favia "Cerro Sur" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (97RP, 94VN, (91-93ST), 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Cerro Sur, a proprietary blend of 62% Cabernet Franc and 38% Cabernet Sauvignon, is a real killer, demonstrating how well these two grapes blend together when crafted by two brilliant viticulturists and winemakers, Annie Favia and her husband Andy Erickson. Dense purple to the rim, with a glorious nose of spring flowers, blueberry, raspberry, a hint of camphor and subtle charcoal in the background, the wine is medium to full-bodied, silky textured, with gorgeously integrated tannin and acidity, and a layered mouthfeel that builds incrementally. This is pure genius and a great cuvée, not only showcasing the talents of its makers, but the brilliance of 2012. Drink it over the next 10-12 years. (RP)" (10/2014)

In addition, it is substantial, powerful and capable of 20 years of longevity. (RP)" (02/2015)

2009 Le Bon Pasteur, Pomerol
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2009 Le Bon Pasteur, Pomerol (94JS, 94RP, 93WE, 92WS, 91ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A brilliant effort from well-known oenologists Dany and Michel Rolland, the 2009 Bon Pasteur is dominated by Merlot, with a touch of Cabernet Franc included in the blend. It reveals textbook notes of mocha, tobacco leaf, blackberries, black cherries, roasted coffee and wood smoke. Full-bodied and luscious with a succulent, beautifully textured, multidimensional mouthfeel, low acidity and sweet but noticeable tannin, it is reminiscent of the 1982 Bon Pasteur, which continued to put on weight for a decade or more. If the 2009 does the same, it will come close to equaling that legendary vintage. Drink it over the next 20+ years. (RP)" (02/2012)
