2012 Saxum "James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Saxum "James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (97RP, 94VN, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "There are 1,580 cases of the 2012 James Berry Vineyard and it reminds me of the 2009 Janasse Chaupin (which is one of Justin’s favorite wines). Incorporating more Mourvedre than normal, it’s made from 43% Grenache, 29% Mourvedre, 18% Syrah and 10% Counoise that’s aged in a combination of concrete and barrel. Rock star stuff, with fabulous black raspberry, cassis, spring flowers and charred meat aromas and flavors, this beauty hits the palate with full-bodied richness and depth, yet stays lively, incredibly pure and elegant, with lots of fine tannin emerging on the finish. It will benefit from 2-3 years in the cellar and have 15-20 years of ultimate longevity. (JD) 97+" (08/2014)

2015 Maybach Family "Materium" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2015 Maybach Family "Materium" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (100JD, 97RP). Jeb Dunnuck: "One of the greatest wines in the vintage is the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Materium which is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from a higher elevation hillside vineyard in Oakville that was raised in 90% new French oak barrels. Just magical stuff that has incredible aromatics of crème de cassis, white flowers, huge minerality, violets, and scorched earth. This is followed by a massive, opulent, yet weightless wine that has off the charts purity of fruit, fine, fine tannin, perfect balance, and a finish that won’t quit. This legendary beauty will benefit from 5-6 years of bottle age and keep for three to four decades." (12/2017)

1996 Luigi Einaudi Barolo
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1996 Luigi Einaudi Barolo (90RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The backward 1996 Barolo offers a classic bouquet of licorice, tar, and black cherries. It is extremely powerful, large-scaled, and full-bodied, yet austere, seriously endowed, and aggressively tannic. Cellaring should smooth it out, but it is an old-styled powerhouse. (RP)" (08/1999)

2007 Joseph Phelps "Insignia" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2007 Joseph Phelps "Insignia" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (99RP, 96CG, 96WS, 95JS, 94WE, 93VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Aged 24 months in new French oak, this infant 2007 exhibits an inky/purple color along with notes of graphite, spring flowers and smoky oak. This full-bodied, classic Insignia reveals fabulous depth, ripeness, texture, viscosity and richness. Still young and unformed, it should evolve for 25 or more years. Perhaps I should just go ahead and give this 2007 a three-digit score as it is a profoundly great Cabernet Sauvignon-based effort. The production was 13,500 cases of this 100% estate fruit blend of 88% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Merlot and 4% Petit Verdot. The alcohol came in at 14.5%. The growing season was nearly ideal, with early bud break, generous flowering, a bountiful crop size, and summer weather that was warm and dry with no significant heat spikes. According to the Phelps winemaking team, the cluster grape weights in 2007 came

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1999 Moccagatta "Cole" Barbaresco (93VN, 90ST, 90WS). Vinous: "A dark, brooding beauty, Moccagatta's 1999 Barbaresco Cole races across the palate with waves of dark fruit, smoke, licorice, tar, crushed rocks and menthol. At age thirteen, the 1999 isn't especially accessible, but will it ever be? Even with its incisive, powerful tannins, the Cole is the best balanced of this trio of 1999 Barbarescos from Moccagatta. Only the first signs of early maturity are present today. (AG)" (08/2014)

The bouquet offers aromas of Asian spices, soy, dried cherries, tobacco, incense, and smoke. Full-bodied, thick, chewy, highly concentrated, and moderately tannic, this 1997 needs another 1-2 years of cellaring; it should drink well for 14-15 years. (RP)" (06/2001)

2010 Larcis Ducasse, St-Emilion
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2010 Larcis Ducasse, St-Emilion (98RP, 97JS, 97VN, 94ST, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The wine boasts 14.6% natural alcohol and is a final blend of roughly three-fourths Merlot and the rest Cabernet Franc, cropped at a ridiculously low 19 hectoliters per hectare. Notes of licorice, garrigue, incense, smoked meats, espresso, creme de cassis and blackberry liqueur jump from the glass of this unbelievably intense wine. Remarkably full, with compelling freshness and precision, this is a fabulous effort in 2010. It will probably close down over the next several years, and not re-emerge for at least a decade, something that often happens with the bigger, richer, more muscular St.-Emilions from the limestone hillsides and plateaux. This is one of the superstars of the vintage and a profound wine. Drink it between 2020 and 2045. 98+ (RP)" (02/2013)

The wine displays a dark ruby color, as well as an explosive nose of cherry liqueur, incense, dried herbs, smoke, cedar, and soy. Full-bodied, dense, and powerful, with fabulous concentration, and a sweet, layered mid-palate and finish, this large-scaled, mouth-coating Barbaresco will be at its finest between 2002-2016. Bid on this bottle of 2010 Pape Clément, Pessac-Léognan (100RP, 96JS, 95WE, 95WS, 94ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "I certainly underrated the 2010 Pape Clement from barrel, rating it only 93-95+. (Thank God I put a 'plus' there!) Having tasted it four times in Bordeaux, and rating it perfect three times and 99 the fourth time, this final blend of 51% Merlot, 47.5% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 1.5% Petit Verdot is perfection in a bottle. Tipping the scales at 14.5% natural alcohol, there are 8,000 cases of it. Its sublime elegance, the power, the medium to full-bodied texture, the silky tannins, the subtle notes of smoke, lead pencil shavings, black currants, charcoal, camphor, blueberry and cassis fruit are all remarkable. It is a rich, full-throttle wine, but the elegance and the great terroir of Pape Clement come through in abundance. It is slightly more developed and evolved than the 2005 was at a similar point in its evolution, but it certainly needs another 5-7 years to develop f

Connoisseurs Guide: "It may not lay claim to a single, specific site, but this beautifully balanced and exceptionally well-focused youngster is no simple hodge-podge and is instead imbued with a real sense of pedigree. Its fundamental firmness and careful structure remind much of its companion from the same district's Angel Camp Vineyard, and it is, if anything, a bit more refined and outgoing in fruit. Its brightness and bounce will understandably lure many into too-early drinking, but is it so tasty and neatly composed that, instead of employing the studied patience it deserves, we may be among those who commit just that offense. *Two Stars*" (06/2016)

It is dense, full-bodied, prodigiously rich, massive in intensity, yet relatively light on its feet. This great ballerina of a wine has extraordinary ripeness but pulls back from the edge before going over the top. There are 1,000 cases of this classic, which should age effortlessly for 30+ years. Of the 2011 Sine Qua Non "Patine - Eleven Confessions Vineyard" Sta. Rita Hills Syrah,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "A wine that needs to be forgotten in the cellar for 5-6 years, the 2011 Syrah Patine checks in as a blend of roughly 97% Syrah and the balance Roussanne and Viognier. It too comes all from the estate's Eleven Confessions Vineyard and saw 39 months in 63% new French oak. Backward, tight, concentrated and structured, with full-bodied richness and depth, it gives up Guigal La Landonne like aromas and flavors of graphite, sweet oak, smoked meats, pepper and black raspberry and cassis-like fruit. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 The Debate "Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard is one of those surreal, flawless, start-of-the-art, mind-blowing wines that one is so fortunate to find. Waves of blueberries, blackberries, red berries, licorice, smoke and vanillin soar from the glass of this complex beauty. Extremely full-bodied and velvety textured with not a hard edge to be found, this outrageous Cabernet Sauvignon is already drinking well. It should only get better for another decade, and last for 2-3 decades. (RP)" (10/2014)

Bid on this magnum of 2014 Myriad "Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (95JD, 95JS, 95RP, 94WS, 93VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of my favorite first-growth sites of Napa Valley is the Dr. Crane Vineyard on the back streets of St. Helena, and Myriad produces two cuvées: a 225-case Dr. Crane Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon and the Dr. Crane Vineyard Elysian, which is a barrel selection based on the best barrels Mike Smith can find from Darnajou and Taransaud cooperage. The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Dr Crane Vineyard, 15.1% alcohol, is from clone 337 and is a wine of great power and richness with complex blueberry and blackberry, charcoal and graphite notes, stunning minerality, beautiful purity, velvety tannins and a killer finish of close to 50+ seconds. This wine is drinkable because it is a 2014, but it should age nicely for two decades or more. (RP)" (12/2016)

Bid on this magnum of 1985 Dunn Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (96VN, 90RP). Vinous: "Dunn’s 1985 Cabernet Sauvignon Howell Mountain is a real bombshell. Dark, sensual and beautifully layered in the glass, the 1985 is one of the more voluptuous Dunn Cabernets of this era. Graphite, smoke, licorice and graphite add nuance, while silky tannins add to an overall impression of finesse. This is another dazzling wine from Randy Dunn. The 1985 will continue to provide thrilling drinking for another two decades. The 1985 rarely fails to deliver. On this night, it is pure magic. (AG) 96+" (09/2016)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Beginning to open magnificently, the still dense purple-colored 2000 reveals a blossoming bouquet of blackberries, cassis, graphite and pen ink. Full-bodied with velvety tannins that have resolved themselves beautifully over the last eleven years, this wine is still an adolescent, but it exhibits admirable purity, texture, mouthfeel and power combined with elegance. This is an especially polished, refined San Lorenzo that emphasizes finesse over the power that is more typical of this site, although there is no shortage of tannin. Still deeply colored and intense to the core, the 1971 delivers a classic Monfortino experience. Layers of dark, mineral-infused fruit flow across the palate in a deep, muscular Monfortino endowed with stunning depth. The 1971 shows why it is one of the all-time greats. 1991 Beaulieu Vineyard "Georges de Latour" Private Reserve Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (3L)
Bid on this 3L-bottle of 1991 Beaulieu Vineyard "Georges de Latour" Private Reserve Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (3L). In 1900, when Georges de Latour decided to buy a small, four-acre property in the town of Rutherford as a surprise for his wife he, perhaps unwittingly, purchased a piece of Napa Valley history. The land would become the foundation for Beaulieu Vineyard, which survived Prohibition by having one of the few of contracts to supply churches with sacramental wine. After Prohibition the winery continued to thrive, experimenting with varietals, blends and aging and under the direction of André Tchelistcheff, the winery would fast become one of California's preeminent producers.

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2011 Kistler "Kistler Vineyard" Sonoma Valley Chardonnay ((94-96VN), 94RP, 94ST, 92WS). Vinous: "The 2011 Chardonnay Kistler Vineyard is totally closed in on itself today. Here the flavors are intensely mineral-inflected and saline. Crushed rocks and citrus lead to sweet floral and spiced notes but the 2011 remains first and foremost a wine of texture and balance. Today, it is drop-dead gorgeous, even though the elements haven't fully come together yet. " (07/2013)

1975 Haut-Brion, Graves (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum of 1975 Haut-Brion, Graves (1.5L) (94JD, 94RP, 93ST, 92JG). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A wine I completely misjudged early in its life, the 1975 has turned out to be a great wine and one of the top dozen or so wines of the vintage. It actually comes close to competing with the immortal 1975 La Mission-Haut-Brion, one of the most powerful, concentrated wines made in Bordeaux in the last 25 years. The 1975 Haut-Brion shows a dark plum/garnet color, a gorgeously sweet nose of singed saddle leather, scorched earth, tobacco, herb, red as well as black currants, plum, fig, and creosote. Very full-bodied, intense, with noticeable but sweet tannin, this layered, full-bodied wine is very opulent, rich, with striking aromatics. It is a fabulous effort in a vintage that has lost considerable support form Bordeaux wine enthusiasts. This is one of the exceptions. Anticipated maturity: Now-2025. (RP)" (01/2003)

1978 Antinori "Tignanello" Toscana
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 1978 Antinori "Tignanello" Toscana. Wine Spectator: "Forty years ago, Piero Antinori outraged the Italian wine world with the first release of a red blend that was quite untraditionally Tuscan, Tignanello. A few years later, he followed that with Solaia, which also blended the Bordeaux grapes Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc with the local Sangiovese. Together, they helped create a new category—super Tuscan—and the future of Tuscany was set in motion....They are produced from separate but contiguous vineyards on the Tignanello estate, located in the heart of the Chianti Classico appellation, so they share similar terroir. The elevations range from 1,150 to 1,325 feet, and the soil is rich in limestone and clay. The site was selected, Antinori explained, because it 'had always been recognized as the best vineyard in the area.'" ("How Antinori Changed the Face of Tuscany," 10/2014)

1980 Henri Jayer Echezeaux Grand Cru
Bid on this bottle of 1980 Henri Jayer Echezeaux Grand Cru (95JG). John Gilman: " It had been a few years since I last tasted the 1980 Echézeaux from Henri Jayer. This has always been one of my favorite vintages for Monsieur Jayer, as the success he had across the board in 1980 has been remarkable. However, as is the case with many of the best wines of this vintage, amongst the last handful of examples of the 1980 Jayer wines that I have had, there have been some bottles beginning to fade, and some still holding on to their peaks. But I have not had a bottle of 1980 Jayer in years as young and fresh as this brilliantly preserved bottle. The bouquet is deep, vibrant and perfumed, soaring from the glass in a blaze of strawberries, raspberries, cherries, intense violets, woodsmoke, well-integrated, spicy wood tones, and a haunting transparency down to the soil. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, young and pure, with a rock solid core of fruit, beautiful acidity, and a very long, shape
