2012 Peter Michael "Au Paradis" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Peter Michael "Au Paradis" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (98JS, 96WS, 95RP). James Suckling: "A relatively new addition to the Peter Michael range and made from a single vineyard in the heart of the Napa Valley. Phenomenal aromas of dust, rust, blackberry, currants and dried berries. Spices such as nutmeg and cloves too. Stunning. Try in 2018." (07/2015)

2010 Domaine Faiveley Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru (OWC)
Bid on this 12-bottle lot of 2010 Domaine Faiveley Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru (OWC - (92-94BH), 94ST) in original wood. Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Bright yellow. Deep aromas of pineapple, exotic herbs, clove oil and smoky oak, complicated by a leesy element. Large-scaled, glyceral and broad; less precise today than the Bienvenue but that's due to this wine's major baby fat. Very ripe peach and apricot flavors are lifted by lemon oil and chewy saline minerality. Finishes very long, with a light dusting of tongue-coating tannins. This wine held up well for days in the recorked bottle. I would not be surprised to see it merit an even higher score with seven or eight years in the cellar." (09/2012)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2012 Domaine Jacques Prieur Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru "Les Combettes" ((89-92BH), (90-92RP)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Combettes comes from their sizable 1.50-hectare parcel located just after Meursault Charmes-Dessus. It has a very vivacious bouquet with citrus peel and lemon thyme – the most effervescent aromatics displayed by Prieur’s 2012 so far. The palate is well balanced with a vibrant opening. The acidity is well judged and there are plenty of shimmering apricot and white peach notes lining up on the tense finish. Excellent. (NM)" (10/2013)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Medium garnet-purple in color and displaying a beautiful nose of violets, orange peel and black cherries alongside notes of spice cake, white pepper and lavender, the full-bodied 2006 Romas Vineyard Grenache is big, rich and gorgeous with a crisp acid backbone draped with layer upon layer of concentrated fruit flavor. 2005 Sea Smoke "Southing" Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2005 Sea Smoke "Southing" Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir (95WE, 92WS, 91ST). Wine Enthusiast: "The most balanced of Sea Smoke’s three new Pinots, Southing was aged in about two-thirds new oak, which gives rich caramel, toasted coconut and exotic spice notes to the ripe fruit flavors. The wine explodes with cherries, raspberries, mulberries and even chocolate mint, finishing long and spicy, and leaving the impression of wholesomeness and completeness. Vinous: "The 2010 Fortunate Son resonates off the palate with gorgeous super-ripe plums, espresso, mocha and grilled herbs. A big voluptuous wine, the 2010 impresses for its overall balance and creamy, textured finish. Exotic spices and a hint of orange rind add lift and freshness on the finish. Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2008 Domaine Bruno Clair Chambertin Grand Cru "Clos de Beze" (95RP, (92-94BH), (92-94ST)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2008 Chambertin-Clos de Beze is an intensely floral, cool wine graced with exquisite finesse in its dark red berries, flowers, minerals and menthol. It is naturally less obvious than the 2009, but just as convincing. A textured, sweet and multi-dimensional finish rounds things out in style. The Beze is quite a bit more open than the Bonnes Mares, but it nevertheless needs time, and probably lots of it. Anticipated maturity: 2018-2038. " (05/2011)

A very complex, full-bodied red, with seamless, hyperpolished tannins that caress every millimeter of the palate. Lasts for minutes. So beautifully balanced, I'm left speechless. Of the 1991 Penfolds "Grange" Shiraz South Australia,James Halliday writes: "Medium to full red-purple; the usual array of richly luscious cherry, plum and black fruit aromas mingling with mocha and dark chocolate on the bouquet. Layers of fruit blossom in the glass as this fleshy seductive wine continues to open up. Rich and multi-dimensional, the 2009 impresses for the way it covers every inch of the palate. I am at a loss to explain or describe this wine’s extraordinary youthfulness and sheer appeal. This wine is inviting and refreshing beyond words. Bid on this 3-magnum lot of 2005 Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru (1.5L) ((93-97ST), 93BH). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "First cuvee, from Aloxe (fermentation finished): Aromas of apple, spices and liquid stone, with the metallic aspect often shown by young examples from this grand cru. Then wonderfully concentrated and precise, with uncanny sucrosite for a dry wine (this has just 1.3 grams of r.s.). Rock-solid yet supple and ripe, with captivating ginger apple flavor. Finishes with outstanding persistence. A great sample. Second cuvee, from Pernand: Ginger, apple and crushed stone on the nose; just a hint of malic acidity remaining. Then thoroughly ripe and sappy, with a dominant crushed stone character suggesting cool soil. Offers the combination of density, strong acidity and length that normally points to a very long evolution in bottle. Naturally the 2011 is a smaller-scaled wine than normal, but there are no hard edges. I would prefer to drink the 2011 over the next few years, while the fruit is supple and forward. 1998 Lafite-Rothschild, Pauillac
Bid on this bottle of 1998 Lafite-Rothschild, Pauillac (98RP, 95WS, 94ST, 94W&S). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A blend of 81% Cabernet Sauvignon and 19% Merlot, this wine represents only 34% of Lafite's total harvest. In a less than perfect Medoc vintage, it has been spectacular since birth, putting on more weight and flesh over the last year. This opaque purple-colored 1998 is close to perfection. The spectacular nose of lead pencil, smoky, mineral, and black currant fruit soars majestically from the glass. The wine is elegant yet profoundly rich, revealing the essence of Lafite's character. The tannin is sweet, and the wine is spectacularly layered yet never heavy. The finish is sweet, super-rich, yet impeccably balanced and long (50+ seconds). Anticipated maturity: 2007-2035. Deep purple to the rim with sweet blackberry, creosote, camphor, forest floor and fruitcake notes, sweet tannin and a layered mouthfeel, this wine builds incrementally offering up power, but also elegance. It is a spectacular wine from a great site. Drink it over the next 10-15 years. (RP)" (04/2014)

Of the 2012 Next of Kyn (Sine Qua Non) "Cumulus Vineyard No. 6" Central Coast Syrah,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "I think what will be the greatest wine yet from this vineyard, Krankl's inky purple 2012 Cumulus Vineyard #6 should flirt with perfection once it's released. Made from 38% Syrah, 37% Grenache, 17.4% Petite Sirah and the balance Mourvedre, fermented with 36% whole clusters, it spent 33 months in 54% new French oak, and there's a scant 320 cases made. 2013 Futo "5500" Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2013 Futo "5500" Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon (97RP, 97VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon 5500 is 92% Cabernet Sauvignon and 8% Merlot, but production was smaller at 375 cases. This is more coiled, reserved and tightly knit, but again, a wine of great intensity. It has a burgeoning complexity with a floral note intermixed with creme de cassis, creosote, subtle background earth and barrique aromas. Multidimensional and with a finish of close to a minute, this is an amazing wine, but oh so young and in need of 4-6 years of bottle age. It is another 35- to 40-year effort. (RP)" (10/2015)

2011 Arnoux (Lachaux) Vosne Romanee "Les Suchots" 1er Cru
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2011 Arnoux (Lachaux) Vosne Romanee "Les Suchots" 1er Cru (93BH, 93ST). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Bright, dark red. Wild aromas of black fruits, licorice, violet, bitter chocolate and Oriental spices, plus a whiff of leather. Dense, suave and firmly built, showing a distinctly sappy quality to the complex flavors of black fruits, spices and minerals. The energetic, very long finish features suave, firm tannins and bright lingering notes of spices and violet. Showing the serious side of 2011, but Pascal Lachaux destemmed everything in this vintage. (ST)" (03/2014)

2013 Maybach Family "Materium" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2013 Maybach Family "Materium" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "There are roughly 600 cases of the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Materium, all of which comes from the Weitz Vineyard on the eastern Vaca Mountain hillside of Oakville at an elevation of about 1,000 feet above the Silverado Trail. This is shallow soil interspersed with loads of pebbles and stones. This wine is incredible first-growth material – a magical Cabernet Sauvignon with an opaque purple color, an extraordinary nose of blackberry and cassis, white flowers, crushed rock and minerality followed by a full-bodied majestic mouthfeel with phenomenal balance, purity and overall equilibrium. Stunningly rich and impressive, this wine will hit its peak in 8-10 years and has the potential to last 40-50 years. For those who keep track of such things, the wine was completely aged in 100% new Darnajou and Taransaud barrels. (RP)" (10/2015)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2010 Maison Ilan Charmes Chambertin Grand Cru Aux Charmes Hauts ((91-94BH)). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "This too is reduced. The cool, pure, intense and utterly delicious medium weight flavors possess a very sophisticated mouth feel due to the presence of extremely fine tannins, all wrapped in a long and highly complex finish. This is very stylish and I very much admire the exquisite balance of fruit and the perfectly integrated structural elements." (01/2012)

2013 Kongsgaard "The Judge" Napa Valley Chardonnay
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2013 Kongsgaard "The Judge" Napa Valley Chardonnay (100RP, 96VN, 95WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Of course, it’s hard to find any, but there are usually about eight to 15 barrels of his estate Chardonnay from Coombsville called “The Judge” in honor of his father. From old Wente clones originally planted in 1975, yields are rarely in excess of one ton of fruit per acre, which no doubt accounts for its extraordinary intensity and richness. The 2013 Chardonnay The Judge is perfect, and certainly one of the greatest Chardonnays I have ever tasted. Keeping in mind that Kongsgaard is no youngster at this game (2015 was his 41st vintage making wine), his 2013 The Judge, from the white volcanic soil in Coombsville called tufa, is an amazing wine of great intensity, power, glory, elegance, texture, density and richness. The wine offers up loads of tangerine oil, caramelized citrus, honeysuckle, white peach, apricots, and wet stones. It seems to be a smorgasbor

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2014 Aubert "Eastside Vineyard" Russian River Valley Chardonnay ((98-100RP), 96VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2014 Chardonnay Eastside may also flirt with perfection. This wine is fashioned in the same style, but incredibly may be even more concentrated, intense and full. It is remarkable what Mark Aubert is doing so brilliantly with his winemaking program, and if readers haven’t beaten a path to his door (or mailing list), it’s about time, as these are some of the most complex and satisfying wines on Planet Earth.(RP)" (12/2015)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2009 Peter Michael "L'Esprit des Pavots" Knights Valley Bordeaux Blend (92RP, 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 L’Esprit des Pavots (47% Cabernet Franc, 46% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest Petit Verdot and Merlot) is a much smaller cuvee of 1,540 cases. One of the best second wines I have tasted from this winery, it offers up much of the same character as its bigger sibling, but softer tannins and a more near-term accessibility give the wine immediate appeal. It should drink well for 10-12 years. (RP)" (12/2013)

2012 Kosta Browne Russian River Valley Pinot Noir
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Kosta Browne Russian River Valley Pinot Noir (93RP, 92VN, 92WS, 91ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The straight 2012 Pinot Noir Russian River Valley is a gorgeous Pinot. Subtle and nuanced, yet no lightweight, it offers layers of mulled red and black fruits, cinnamon, loamy earth and dried flowers on the nose. Every bit as good on the palate, with a medium to full-bodied, supple and layered profile, it has excellent mid-palate depth, a fabulous texture and a clean finish. It's already hard to resist, but it will evolve nicely through 2022. This was another stacked lineup by the team of Dan Kosta and Michael Browne. All of these wines showed the more approachable style of the 2012 vintage, and had seamless, elegant characters. They're beautiful now, but I suspect they will evolve nicely given their overall balance. (JD)" (10/2014)

Of the 2007 Quilceda Creek "Galitzine Vineyard" Red Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The 2007 Galitzine Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon contains 1% Petit Verdot. It offers up a splendid bouquet of toasty new oak, earth notes, espresso, incense, blackberry, and plum. A bit more structured than the Palengat cuvee, it is slightly denser, layered, and intense. This very lengthy effort will benefit from 5-7 years of cellaring and will offer a drinking window extending from 2015 to 2037." (08/2010)

2010 Rhys San Mateo County Pinot Noir
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2010 Rhys San Mateo County Pinot Noir (94RP, 92WS, 91ST, 90BH). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The entry-level 2010 Pinot Noir (San Mateo County) is simply fabulous. Rich dark cherries, crushed flowers, mint and spices burst from the glass. This is a hugely delicious wine from Rhys. The 80% whole clusters are nicely balanced by the sheer depth of the fruit. This is a flat-out stunning wine from Rhys. In 2010, the San Mateo is the entry-level Pinot. The 2010 is bottled under San Mateo appellation, as it includes declassified fruit from a broader range of vineyards than the typical collection of sites from the Santa Cruz Mountains. Once again, an appellation-level Rhys Pinot shines. The 2010 San Mateo is without question the hidden gem in this lineup. I imagine it will also provide much more enjoyment earlier than the vineyard designates. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2020. (AG)" (08/2012)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2004 Saxum "Broken Stones" Paso Robles Syrah (92RP, 91ST, 90WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2004 Broken Stones is a 600-case blend of 75% Syrah, 22% Grenache, and 3% Mourvedre. Its deep ruby/purple color is followed by a sweet perfume of black cherries, cassis, and flowers. Medium to full-bodied and savory, with sweet tannin and a supple, approachable style, this fleshy, well-balanced red should age nicely for a decade or more." (08/2006)

2009 Saxum "Paderewski Vineyard" Paso Robles Red Blend
Bid on this bottle of 2009 Saxum "Paderewski Vineyard" Paso Robles Red Blend (97RP, 94WS, 93JS, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Paderewski Vineyard is a new bottling from a site Smith developed for Bill and Liz Armstrong, the owners of Epoch. Zinfandel, Syrah, Petit Sirah and Mourvedre are planted in separate plots but co-fermented. Layers of dark fruit meld into flowers, mint, sweet spices, menthol, eucalyptus and plums, with marvelous density and harmony. This shows superb aromatic complexity and tons of nuance to match its absolutely striking personality. It is a dazzling effort, especially for a young vineyard in just its third leaf. The blend was 39% Zinfandel, 38% Syrah, 13% Petite Sirah and 10% Mourvedre. (AG)" (08/2011)

Spring Mountain is a very special appellation, whose hillsides produce stunning red wines capable of staying the course for decades. 2014 Sine Qua Non "Gallinita" Central Coast Rosé
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2014 Sine Qua Non "Gallinita" Central Coast Rosé. From the producer: "We are not working on a grape growing or winemaking THESIS. Instead we want all of our efforts to be reflected in every glass of SQN. And so our goal has been and always will be to understand Mother Nature’s often oblique ways and (re)act accordingly so that we may create wines that express all that Nature has so generously given us. And all that this beautifully warm and sunny place called California has to offer. Wines that speak to the heart and the mind both. Wines that are ripe and flavorful, but also graceful and balanced. Wines that are perfectly enjoyable and delicious young, but that will age and show a new and interesting personality with each passing year. Wines that surprise with each sip and where the last drop – not the first sip – was the best one. Wines that make you smile and happy and appreciate all that is lovely."

Then utterly silky yet sharply delineated on the palate, offering superb inner-mouth perfume to the flavors of strawberry and smoky minerals. Finishes smoky, saline and very long, spreading out on the palate to excite the taste buds. Already wonderfully expressive. (ST)" (01/2013)

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2004 Domaine Robert Chevillon Nuits-St-Georges 1er Cru "Perrières" ((89-91BH), (88-90ST)). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Somewhat surprisingly, this is deeper, richer and earthier because normally this is even more elegant and mineral-driven than the Roncières. To be sure, this by no means lacks for elegance or purity or even detail and just at the very end of the long finish the hallmark minerality of Perrières arrives. I would give this at least 7 to 10 years in the cellar because even though it's not especially dense, the balance is so good that this will be more than capable of lasting well." (01/2006)
