2006 Sine Qua Non "Mr. K Noble Man" Tasting Lot (375ml) (OWC)
Bid on this 3-bottle 2006 Sine Qua Non "Mr. K Noble Man" Tasting Lot (375ml) (OWC) (OWC), including 2-bottles of 2006 Sine Qua Non "Mr. K Noble Man" California Chardonnay (375ml) (95RP, 94ST) and 1-bottle of 2006 Sine Qua Non "Mr. K Straw Man" Marsanne Vin de Paille (375ml) (97RP, 95VN). Of the 2006 Sine Qua Non "Mr. K Straw Man" Marsanne Vin de Paille (375ml),Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The 2006 Mr. K The Strawman Marsanne Vin de Paille is 100% Marsanne from the Beckmen Vineyard that boasts 240 grams of residual sugar per liter. A medium gold-colored effort, it reveals more marmalade notes interwoven with notions of maple syrup, honeysuckle, and exotic tropical fruits. While untuously-textured with remarkable sweetness, it is not cloying because of the fresh acids. I have no idea how long these wines will last, but they will undoubtedly keep for many years. Of the 2009 Williams Selyem "Precious Mountain" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir,Wine Enthusiast writes: " *Top 100 Wines of 2012* ... The wine is as light as a feather in the mouth, modest in alcohol and delicately feminine, like pure satin. However, few Pinot Noirs in the world achieve this level of concentration. Notes of wild raspberries and cherries, cola, sleek minerals, dusty baking spices and smoky oak combine for flavors that are utterly delicious. After all that, it possesses an indefinable attribute of fascination. Will age well for a long time, if you can keep your hands off it. Now-2021." (02/2012)

2009 Saxum "Bone Rock - James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend
Bid on this bottle of 2009 Saxum "Bone Rock - James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (94RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Bone Rock is a round, enticing red laced with sweet, succulent dark cherries, plums, flowers and spices. It shows remarkable intensity and fabulous balance. Bone Rock is made from the first blocks planted in the James Berry vineyard and is predominantly Syrah, while the James Berry Vineyard (the wine) is Grenache focused. In 2009 the blend was 57% Syrah, 31% Mourvedre and 12% Grenache. The Syrah component was vinified with 100% stems and saw a maceration lasting 50 days. The wine was aged in 60% new oak. Smith bottled the 2009 in May 2011, earlier than the norm (around 30 months), as he wanted to preserve the freshness he had in the tannins. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2021. (AG)" (08/2011)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The exquisite 2004 Chardonnay La Carriere has gained in stature since I tasted it last year. Luckily, there are about 2,250 cases of this beauty in both 2004 and 2005. Again, crushed rocks, orange marmalade, lemon blossom, white peach, and subtle wood aromas and flavors emerge from this full-bodied, fresh Chardonnay. (RP)" (12/2006)

1999 Margaux, Margaux
Bid on this bottle of 1999 Margaux, Margaux (95RP, 93ST, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1999 Chateau Margaux has been the standout First Growth since I first tasted the wine from barrel. Now reaching its plateau of maturity, it has an understated nose at first, armed with impressive mineralité with a gorgeous graphite seam. The definition and precision here is top class. The palate is medium-bodied and smooth in texture, very harmonious and assured, surprisingly with some new oak still to be fully assimilated into the wine. The signature Margaux traits of crushed black cherries and violets comes through towards the finish, suggestions of raspberry reserve and desiccated orange peel enhancing the long finish. Perhaps I might temper my initial enthusiasm for the 1999 Château Margaux...but only slightly. It comes highly recommended. Tasted May 2016. (NM)" (10/2016)

2007 Carlisle "Palisades Vineyard" Napa Valley Petite Sirah
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2007 Carlisle "Palisades Vineyard" Napa Valley Petite Sirah ((94-96RP), 94WS, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Carlisle’s Petite Sirahs are treated like this powerful, but under-appreciated varietal should be. From very old vines, the 2007 Petite Sirah Palisade Vineyard is an amazing example of this varietal that should age for 30+ years. Blueberry, blackberry, camphor, licorice, incense, and graphite notes are followed by a wine with massive concentration and density as well as tremendous purity and depth. Although surprisingly accessible (a characteristic of this vintage), it will unquestionably last for three decades... (RP)" (12/2008)

2010 M. Chapoutier "Le Méal" Ermitage Rouge
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 M. Chapoutier "Le Méal" Ermitage Rouge (99RP, 98WS, 95ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of the stars of the retrospective was the 2010 Ermitage le Meal. This classic vintage yielded concentrated, fresh and structured wines and the 2010 has all of these traits in spades. Giving up a massive array of liquid rock, graphite, spring flowers, cassis and black raspberries, it hits the palate with full-bodied richness, a tight, structured, tannic mouthfeel and bright acidity, all while still showing incredible polish and elegance. It will certainly flirt with perfection at maturity, but is all about minerality and structure at the moment. Give this incredible effort 3-5 years of cellaring and enjoy it over the following 2-3 decades. (JD)" (09/2015)

Wine Enthusiast: "*** Editors' Choice *** A great success from a challenging vintage, the 2013 Pegau is as aromatic as ever, loaded with scents of garrigue, smoke and saddle leather. Bid on this magnum lot of 2012 Aubert "Larry Hyde & Sons Vineyard" Carneros Chardonnay (1.5L) (96RP, 94VN, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Chardonnay Larry Hyde & Sons (1,000 cases) comes from a 4-acre vineyard that produces nearly 1,000 cases. The straw color reveals a greenish hue, and the wine bursts from the glass with notes of exotic fruits, wet stones, limes and white peaches. It has a kinship to a great Coche-Dury Corton-Charlemagne. Complex and full-bodied with stunning purity, richness and acidity, this killer Chardonnay should drink well for 6-10 years. (RP)" (12/2014)

2013 Rivers-Marie "B. Thieriot" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2013 Rivers-Marie "B. Thieriot" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (98RP, 95VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of the greatest young Chardonnays I’ve ever tasted certainly has to be the 2013 Chardonnay B. Thieriot Vineyard, from the very old vineyard planted in 1990 with the Robert Young clone of Chardonnay. It was cropped at 1.5 tons of fruit per acre and aged in Louis Latour cooperage. This amazing wine shows notes of poached pear, honeysuckle and hints of white peach and pineapple, is stunningly rich and full-bodied, but has great acidity and a remarkable finish pH of 3.1, which is incredible, given the intensity and power of this Chardonnay. Look for it to age well for up to a decade or more. (RP)" (10/2015)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Formerly labeled as the Alchemist, the 2013 Booker Estate is 84% Syrah, 11% Tempranillo and the rest a splash of Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. Inky colored, deep, savory and spicy, with the Tempranillo front and center at the moment, it offers lots of dark fruits, truffle, dried spice and meaty aromatics, full-bodied richness and enough tannic grip to warrant another year or two in bottle. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Ridge Vineyards "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon (98VN, 94RP, 94WS, 93W&S, 92CG). Vinous: "The 2012 Monte Bello is one of the most harmonious young Monte Bellos I can remember tasting. Seamless and voluptuous through to the finish, the 2012 is showing beautifully today. Raspberry jam, pomegranate, white flowers, mint and spices are some of the many notes that flesh out in the glass. A wine with a distinctly red-hued profile, silky tannins, no hard edges and exceptional overall balance, the 2012 Monte Bello is simply magnificent. The 2012 is racy but also impeccably balanced throughout, with shades of the 2001 that come through from time to time. I won't be surprised if the 2013 and 2014 both eventually surpass it, but there is no denying that the 2012 is simply stunning today. This is one of the best showings yet for the 2012. Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2012 Domaine Henri Gouges Nuits-St-Georges 1er Cru "Les Pruliers" ((90-92BH), 90VN). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A brooding and pungently earthy nose mixes dark berry aromas with humus, underbrush and sauvage notes. There is very fine richness to the suave and quite round medium-bodied flavors that retain a lovely sense of vibrancy on the lingering finish. This is finer than the Porrets but less powerful. A qualitative choice." (01/2014)

1998 Gaja "Sperss" Nebbiolo Langhe
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1998 Gaja "Sperss" Nebbiolo Langhe (95RP, 95ST, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of the things I have learned over the years is that you can count on Angelo Gaja to make a strong showing in just about any tasting. Yes, I know, Sperss is not Barolo (a small percentage of Barbera is added), but at its core the wine captures the essence of Serralunga and is as representative of these hillside vineyards as any Barolo. Dark tar, smoke, leather, spices, menthol and black cherries all make an appearance in this muscular, full-throttle wine. While the vast majority of 1998 Barolos can be enjoyed today, the 1998 Sperss could use another few years in the cellar. It isn't a crime to open a bottle today, but this is one of the few 1998s that still has upside potential. Simply put, the 1998 Sperss is a jewel. Anticipated maturity: 2010-2023. (AG)" (03/2009)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2009 Domaine William Fèvre Chablis Grand Cru "Valmur" (94BH, 93RP, 92ST). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "It's arguable that in 2009 that this is the most elegant and refined wine in the range as the ultra pure and airy white flower, citrus zest, iodine and oyster shell aromas complement to perfection the extremely fresh and silkily textured flavors blessed with ample amounts of acid-buffering dry extract that culminate in an explosive yet harmonious and sophisticated finale with perhaps a bit less youthful austerity than usual. 2006 Haut-Bergey, Pessac-Léognan
Bid on this 12-bottle lot of 2006 Haut-Bergey, Pessac-Léognan (91RP, 90ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Consistently one of the top, under-the-radar wines of Pessac-Leognan, Haut-Bergey's beautiful 2006 boasts a deep ruby/purple hue as well as a classic bouquet of hot rocks intermixed with graphite, cassis, incense, and charcoal. Medium to full-bodied with noticeable but sweet tannin, impressive purity, and an alluring texture, it is relatively evolved for a 2006, so consumption over the next 15 years is recommended. Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2011 Domaine Henri Boillot Volnay 1er Cru "Les Fremiets" ((91-93ST), (91-93VN), 92BH). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Deep red-ruby. Highly perfumed, musky aromas of black raspberry and smoky minerality. Large-scaled, round and rich but not yet complex; less creamy and fine-grained than the Chevrets, showing a youthful toughness from the calcaire-rich soil. Despite the fact that this was the first Pinot parcel Boillot picked in 2011, this wine relies more on its big, ripe tannins than on its acids for balance. Really saturates the palate on the aftertaste. (ST)" (06/2013)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2003 Shiraz Reserve, which I assume is made from the richest barrels, has all the same characteristics of the regular bottling, with more weight, opulence, and persistence. The 16% alcohol is beautifully concealed by its prodigious concentration. Readers who love the extroverted personalities of these wild and crazy Australian reds should drink it over the next 10-12 years." (10/2005)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2002 Henry's Drive "Reserve" Shiraz Padthaway South Australia (97RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2002 Shiraz Reserve tastes like a dry vintage port. It may be too much for those with a European palate (but then, I’m a Francophile with a European-styled palate and I loved it). It is flamboyant, extraordinarily rich, full-bodied, and intense, with gobs of blackberry and currant fruit backed up by extravagant levels of glycerin. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "They appear to be immune to some of winedom’s less than intelligent trends and fads that we see from time to time, and the result is a spectacular 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon 40th Anniversary offering. Its dense purple/black color is followed by copious quantities of crème de cassis and blackberry fruit, silky tannins, a voluptuous texture and stunning purity as well as length. This full-bodied effort is a fabulous example of Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon as well as a tribute to this amazing family. It is so good now, why wait? 2012 Maison Leroy Bourgogne Blanc
Bid on this 8-bottle lot of 2012 Maison Leroy Bourgogne Blanc. Maison Leroy is a négociant house steered by the indomitable Lalou Bize-Leroy. She only works with growers whose farming and fruit meet her exacting standards. Praise from Antonio Galloni: "Lalou Bize-Leroy's 2012s are stratospheric. Remarkably dense and concentrated, even by Leroy standards, the 2012s are invigorating, deeply reflective of their origins and utterly captivating. Specifically, the overall harmony of these wines and the near-perfect balance of the whole clusters gives them tremendous appeal, even at this very early stage. Bize-Leroy opted to give her 2012s very short elevage in barrel of just about seven months, which is pretty much unheard of in Burgundy. Production levels are tiny and prices are sky-high, but these remain some of the most singular wines being made anywhere in the world. It's as simple as that." (11/2014)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of the most beautiful wines in the Stature series is the impressive 1997 Cabernet Sauvignon Stature. Sourced from vineyards such as Veeder Peak and Andy Beckstoffer's To-Kalon Vineyard, it offers up creme de cassis aromas intermixed with new saddle leather, vanillin, spice box, and minerals. 2007 Sea Smoke "Ten" Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2007 Sea Smoke "Ten" Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir (97WE, 91VN). Wine Enthusiast: "This very dense, tannic Pinot Noir represents a triumph for both the winery, the vintage and the region it represents. A multi-clone blend (hence the name) with high, cool-climate acidity and aged in 100% new oak, it’s still young, fresh and tight. The astringency throws a cloak over the raspberries, cherries, rosehip tea and Indian spice flavors, which reveal themselves only reluctantly. But they’re there, in an imposing texture of velvet and silk. This enormous wine demands time. *Best of 2010. Cellar Selection* " (03/2010)

The wine has beautiful purity, medium body, and a long finish. This should turn out to be outstanding when released in a year. (RP)" (12/2008)

2012 Aubert "Lauren Vineyard" Sonoma County Chardonnay (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum lot of 2012 Aubert "Lauren Vineyard" Sonoma County Chardonnay (1.5L) (98RP, 95VN, 95WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "We finished the Chardonnay portion of the tasting with Mark Aubert’s favorite wine, the 2012 Chardonnay Lauren Estate, which comes from rich Goldridge soils. There are 1,000 cases of this straw/greenish-colored beauty fashioned from various clones, including the Old Wente, Hyde, Hudson Corton-Charlemagne selection and the Mt. Eden clones. It possesses more of a tannic backbone than its siblings because of its grip. Full-bodied with lots of honeyed citrus, orange marmalade and abundant fruit on the attack and mid-palate, this youthful Chardonnay seems barely touched by its oak aging. All of these 2012s will be irresistible when released in 2014, but should age beautifully for 6-10+ years. 98+ Points (RP)" (12/2014)

2001 Pahlmeyer Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2001 Pahlmeyer Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (95CG, 93RP, 93ST). Connoisseurs Guide: "Pahlmeyer's wines can always be counted on for depth and drama, and this dazzling effort succeeds handsomely. Making fine use of rich oak spice, it is charged by wholly compelling fruit from front to back and, if very ripe, stays true to type throughout. Weight on the palate, it finds plenty of structure from its well-integrated tannins, and, if it is sufficiently fruity to be enjoyable now, it strikes us as a wine that will grow spectacularly for years to come." Of the 2004 Duckhorn "Howell Mountain" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend,Wine Enthusiast writes: "Almost entirely Merlot, with a few drops of other Bordeaux varieties, this Howell Mountain red screams for time in the cellar. The tannis bite and dog the mouth through the long astringent finish. But chew on it for a while and you hit a deep core of blackberries and currants, and the more the wine warms up in the glass, the more impressive it gets. 2014 Realm "Houyi Vineyard" Napa Valley Red Wine
Bid on this bottle of 2014 Realm "Houyi Vineyard" Napa Valley Red Wine (97RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "From Pritchard Hill, the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Houyi Vineyard Pritchard Hill is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from the iron-rich, red soils of that famous hill above the Oakville crossroads. There are 425 cases of this wine made from Cabernet Sauvignon clones 4, 7 and 337. The Houyi Vineyard, owned by the Changs, is in an expensive neighborhood of superstars, including Brand, David Arthur and Colgin. Well above the fog-line, this area gets very warm days with plenty of UV sunshine and cool nights, which give this wine great acidity to go along with its stunning display of chocolaty, blackcurrant fruit intermixed with blackberry, graphite and forest floor. There are some spring flowers as well. A full-bodied, stunning wine, very much in the Realm style, it should drink well for 20+ years. (RP)" (12/2016)

Of the 2003 Pride Mountain Napa/Sonoma Counties Cabernet Sauvignon,Connoisseurs Guide writes: "This impressive, generously filled and very solid young wine is at once both powerful and remarkably well-balanced and delivers loads of optimally ripened, curranty fruit juxtaposed with just the right measure of complementary oak. It is quite full on the palate and comes complete with lots of Cabernet tannins, but even as astringency crowds in at the finish, its confident fruit refuses to quit. Gorgeous, ethereal aromas of incense, honeysuckle, and nutmeg, with the unmistakable scents of glove leather and graphite woven in. Very rich flavors of blackberry liqueur, espresso and mint are layered and precise, and nicely supported by big, fuzzy tannins. The very long finish shows undertones of cassis and minerals. A thickly textured Brunello that conveys balance and finesse. By virtue of its depth and elegance, this is a riveting wine. (EB)" (07/2002)

Dense, with great concentration, sweet tannin, a multi-layered, opulent mouthfeel, and a 50+ second finish, it is about as provocative and riveting as an Amarone can be.
