James Suckling: "This is mind-blowing on the nose with sweet tobacco, chocolate, cedar, cigar box, and licorice. Full-bodied and round with a bright and velvety tannin structure. Starts off slow, but then flies away. This is fabulous. Intense finish. Delicious today, but will be even better after 2013." (06/2011)

It reveals all of the qualities that make Pinot here so compelling. In the 2009 I find expressive aromatics that meld seamlessly into the fruit, not to mention a gracious yet powerful personality. A super-refined finish has the last say in this moving, breathtaking wine. The UV-SL vineyard is just four miles from the Pacific Ocean. 2013 Saxum "Bone Rock - James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Syrah
Bid on this bottle of 2013 Saxum "Bone Rock - James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Syrah ((98-100RP), 94VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A co-fermented blend of Syrah and a splash of Roussanne, the inky colored 2013 Syrah James Berry Vineyard Bone Rock reveals a heavenly bouquet of Hermitage-like dark fruits, violets, crushed rocks and seared meats. Big, rich and structured, it has phenomenal purity and elegance given its size and delivers a big dose of tannin on the huge finish. A wine that could flirt with perfection, it will demand short-term cellaring and keep for two decades. (JD)" (08/2015)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "From Kistler’s home property, not far from the winery, the 2011 Chardonnay Vine Hill Vineyard bursts from the glass with superb aromas of tangerine oil, white peach, pineapple and wet stones. With good acidity, a long, full-bodied finish, and a precocious personality, it should provide plenty of pleasure over the next 3-4 years. (RP)" (12/2013)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2010 Marcassin "Marcassin Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (99RP, 94VN, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Flirting with perfection, the 2010 Chardonnay Marcassin Estate exhibits a serious liqueur of stones along with a greenish hue to its straw color, fabulous density, richness and full-bodied power, but zesty acids and notes of quince, white currants, subtle peach, brioche and apricot marmalade are all present in this multi-dimensional, complex, stunning Chardonnay that will be released in 2014. Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2012 Peter Michael "Ma Danseuse" Fort Ross-Seaview Pinot Noir (100RP, 94JS, 93ST, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The compelling 2012 Pinot Noir Ma Danseuse (1,480 cases) is even better than the 2013. Notes of lead pencil shavings, DRC-like forest floor, black raspberry, blackcurrant, Asian plum sauce, rose petal and sweet cherry characteristics are found in this spectacular, multidimensional, prodigious Pinot Noir that should drink well for 10-15+ years. The clonal material probably came from one of the DRC vineyards, so it is not surprising that. in this cool climate, with the great fruit purity California can achieve, there is a DRC-like resemblance. Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2012 Williams Selyem "Hirsch Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (95WE, 92BH, 91ST, 90CG). Wine Enthusiast: " *Cellar Selection* This vineyard-designated wine reflects its sense of place remarkably well, offering tight dark cherry and blueberry around a strong character of wild earth, tea and herb. High in acidity and minerality, and yet powerfully understated, it’s gorgeously drinkable now but will gain further complexity through 2022. (VB)" (04/2015)

2005 Carter "Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard" Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley (375ml)
Bid on this 375 ml 2-bottle lot of 2005 Carter "Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard" Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley (375ml) (98RP, 95WS, 92W&S). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The Carter Cellars 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon comes in at a rather modest 14.1% natural alcohol, which probably reflects the cool 2005 growing season. At more than $200.00 a bottle, this may be one of the last Beckstoffer To Kalon Cabernets at that price point, and one probably impossible to find except in the auction arena. This wine just has it all - floral notes, crème de cassis, minerality and graphite in what could be a Napa-hypothetical blend of the best of Bordeaux's Margaux and Pauillac appellations. This is a magical site. (Nearly any capable winemaker producing wine from there has proven that time after time.) This is a killer effort - young and fresh, with at least 20 years upside to it. Pushing perfection, it is still a young wine that, like the Coliseum Block, tastes like it's two or thr

2012 Quilceda Creek "Palengat Vineyard" Horse Heaven Hills Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Quilceda Creek "Palengat Vineyard" Horse Heaven Hills Bordeaux Blend (94RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A single-vineyard blend of 59% Merlot, 29% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Cabernet Franc and 5% Petit Verdot, the 2012 Palengat Vineyard offers a deep, decadent style to go with classic blackberry liqueur, blueberry, graphite, toasted spices and licorice. A big, beefy, layered and full-bodied effort, it has building tannin, a supple mid-palate and terrific length. It should evolve nicely for 2-4 years and hold for a decade or more after that. This is another serious lineup by Paul and Alex Golitzin and I was able to taste their 2012s multiple times, once at my office in Colorado where I was able to follow the wines for multiple days, and then during a visit at the estate just north of Snohomish. In both cases they showed beautifully, with the ripe, exuberant style that's common in the vintage. When speaking about the '12s, Paul told me that it was an "ea

Of the 2001 Léoville-Las-Cases, St-Julien,Wine Enthusiast writes: "*Cellar Selection* A classic in development, a wine that will last for decades. It is certainly powerful, but already the shape is finalized, with its plums and berries settling down with perfumes, acidity, just enough tannins and a warm, welcoming richness. A great argument for the superiority of 2001 over 2000. (RV)" (12/2007)

2014 Cayuse "Flying Pig" Walla Walla Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2014 Cayuse "Flying Pig" Walla Walla Valley Bordeaux Blend ((94-96RP)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "he Merlot dominated wine from the estate, the 2014 Flying Pig incorporates 40% Cabernet Franc and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. Like all of the Bordeaux blends here, it’s raised in puncheons, with a small amount being new. This full-bodied barrel sample has a rich, voluptuous style as well as textbook cassis, lead pencil shavings, cedar and graphite aromas and flavors. I love its overall density and depth, and it while it should drink nicely out of the gate, it should evolve gracefully as well. (JD)" (06/2016)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Syrah Eisele Vineyard stands out for its textural elegance and finesse. Dark berries, flowers and mint are some of the many nuances that come together in this silky, totally captivating wine. The 2009 has never been the most varietally expressive Syrah from the Eisele Vineyard, but it is exceptionally polished, sexy and pure. Sweet floral notes add lift and a measure of brightness on the finish. (AG)" (12/2012)

1979 Pavie, St. Emilion
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1979 Pavie, St. Emilion. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This is an attractive Pavie that is nearing maturity. The 1979 has surprisingly dark ruby color with only a trace of amber, with a toasty, smoky, herb-and-berry-scented bouquet, medium body, good power and weight, and moderate tannins. It is a tasty but compact wine. (Tasted 3/1991) (RP)" (01/1998)

2011 Hubert Lignier Morey-St-Denis 1er Cru "Les Chaffots"
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2011 Hubert Lignier Morey-St-Denis 1er Cru "Les Chaffots" (93RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Moving 80 meters up the slope from Lignier's parcel at La Riotte, the 2011 Morey St. Denis 1er Cru Les Chaffots is clearly darker in color. The bouquet has more volume with lovely, animated scents of black cherries and cassis interlaced with violet that gains richness with aeration. The palate exhibits higher acidity than the La Riotte, the tannins supple and forming a fine backbone for the mineral-rich dark plum and black currant fruit. The finish offers good structure that suggests it should age beautifully over the next decade. (NM)" (08/2013)

Bid on this bottle of 2010 Casanova di Neri "Tenuta Nuova" Brunello di Montalcino (100RP, 99JS, 95WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Brunello di Montalcino Tenuta Nuova is a protagonist of the vintage. The fruit is deep and dark with rich levels of extract, intensity and flavor. It goes far beyond your standard cherry and blackberry to include plum cake, spice bread and bacon-wrapped prune. Nothing is obvious or monochromatic about this wine. Everything is nuanced and ethereal. Tenuta Nuova is also distinguished by the linear mineral notes that are characteristic of this single-vineyard site. In 2010, those traits are especially well-defined and pronounced ... (ML)" (02/2015)

Of the 2006 Domaine Louis Latour Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru,Wine Enthusiast writes: "Power, density, huge richness--all the attributes you would expect from a Corton-Charlemagne. There is excellent purity to the delicious, intense and sleekly muscular flavors that are shaped by relatively fine-grained tannins, all wrapped in a long and mouth coating finish that displays just the barest hint of rusticity. 1999 Margaux, Margaux
Bid on this bottle of 1999 Margaux, Margaux (94RP, 93ST, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The sexy, dark plum/purple-colored 1999 Margaux is already revealing complex aromatics. This surprisingly charming and round offering is reminiscent of a vintage such as 1985. Although neither a blockbuster nor a heavyweight, it grows in the mouth revealing tremendous length as well as purity. Administrator Paul Pontallier prefers it to the more austere 1998, as do I. This is an archetypical Chateau Margaux of richness, finesse, balance, and symmetry. It can be drunk young, but promises to age nicely for two decades. Extrapolating backwards, it would probably have something in common with the underrated 1962 Medocs. (RP)" (04/2002)

An expressive, open bouquet melds into dark, sensual fruit. The Brunate possesses gorgeous delineation, wonderful inner perfume and polished tannins that frame the majestic finish. In this vintage the French oak is also exceptionally well-balanced. The freshness, vibrancy and overall sense of harmony elevate the Brunate into the top tier of 2007 Baroli. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2001 La Rioja Alta "Viña Ardanza" Reserva Especial Rioja (93RP, 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2001 Vina Ardanza Reserva Especial is a blend of 80% Tempranillo and 20% Garnacha from their vineyards in Fuenmayor and Rioja Baja respectively and it represents only the third vintage to be declared after 1964 and 1973. Aged in American cask for 36 months, it has a bucolic, natural bouquet of bright red cherries, balsamic, mint and a touch of dried honey all with superb delineation. The palate is medium-bodied with wonderful delineation and supple, lithe tannins. The acidity is very well judged and it leads to a pert, tense finish of bitter cherry, loganberry and licorice. This is an outstanding wine drinking perfectly now, but it should age effortlessly. Drink now-2030." (08/2012)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Ente’s 2007 Meursault Gouttes d’Or exhibits stony and briny elements one might have predicted given both the site and the wines that went before in his vintage collection. A lovely counterpoint between bright citrus and salt on the one hand and toasted grains and nuts with a hint of honey on the other lends this a distinctive dynamic and – for all of its overtly mineral cast – considerable charm. 1990 de Fargues, Sauternes
Bid on this bottle of 1990 de Fargues, Sauternes (96RP, 94WS, 92ST). It is the most powerful of the trilogy. Delivering 130 grams-per-liter residual sugar at 13.6% alcohol, it has a prodigious bouquet of over-ripe oranges, toffee apple, chlorophyll and even a faint hint of chocolate. The palate is medium-bodied with a luscious ripe mandarin and apricot-tinged entry, building wonderfully to a botrytis-laden finish that fans out like a firework, leaving traces of cumin and dried orange peel on the long finish. Wine Spectator: "Shy and unrevealing in aroma, hinting at flowers and minerals, this builds on the palate, exhibiting a racy structure, which supports its floral, peach, lemon, mineral and spice flavors. Very subtle, yet intensely vibrant and alive, this is classy and seamless in its presentation. Very long and expressive. (BS)" (09/2004)

Bid on this bottle of 2005 Domaine Leflaive Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru ((94-95RP), 94BH, 94ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Humidity caused some viral problems in the vineyards, including some corte noue. Very closed on the nose, but with some coaxing that limestone and granite scent comes forth, then some apple-blossom and a touch of gun smoke. The palate of powerful and citrus-like with a touch of honeysuckle, tending towards a slightly unctuous, spicy finish. A gregarious wine with great breeding and verve. Drinking 2012-2018. Wine Spectator: "**Wine of the Year for 2002** Distinctive Châteauneuf, with plenty of wild mushrooms, wet earth, game and leather. This is not a fruit bomb; it has chewy tannins. But underneath is wonderful sweet fruit, as well as a subtle mineral caress. Something special. Best from 2005 through 2015. (PM)" (11/2002)

2005 Pahlmeyer Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2005 Pahlmeyer Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (93CG, 92RP, 92WS, 90ST). Connoisseurs Guide: "You can count on Pahlmeyer to deliver wines that are bold, big and dramatic no matter the variety, and that is exactly what you get in this ripe and substantial Pinot Noir. It is deep, outgoing and compelling in its aromas of chocolate-covered cherries, bacony oak and hints of liqueur-all of which might suggest a wine that is patently over the top. But, as with other Pahlmeyer offerings, this one is amazingly easy to drink, and its balance is both civil-ized and proportionate to its style." (02/2008)

1971 Schloss Johannisberger "Rosa-Goldlack" Riesling Beerenauslese
Bid on this bottle of 1971 Schloss Johannisberger "Rosa-Goldlack" Riesling Beerenauslese . From a historic winery that dates back to the time of Charlemagne (768-814 AD), whose 18th century owners laid the groundwork for modern Riesling. Not only was the Schloss Johannisberger vineyard the first to be planted entirely to Riesling, beginning the single-varietal trend that exists to this day, the cellarmaster at the time was the first to (accidentally!) make late-harvest sweet wine. Owned by Napoleon in the early 19th century, the winery was reconstructed by Paul Alfons Fürst Metternich in the mid-1960s. The Rosa-Goldlack is the equivalent of a beerenauslese by current labeling standards.

Bid on this bottle of 2013 Donelan "Obsidian Vineyard" Knights Valley Syrah (99RP, 97VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2013 Syrah Obsidian Vineyard is truly magical. One hundred percent Syrah aged 20 months in 45% new oak, these rather rare soils have offered up a note with black fruits, crushed rocks, new saddle leather, licorice and white chocolate. Terrific fruit intensity, a full-bodied, sumptuous texture, and a long finish of close to 50 seconds make for a magnificent Syrah to drink over the next two decades. (RP)" (03/2016)

2013 Buccella Napa Valley Merlot
Bid on this bottle of 2013 Buccella Napa Valley Merlot. Producer Note: "Our Merlot fruit comes from two blocks atop a knoll in the famed Hyde Vineyard, where harvests typically yield less than two tons per acre. It’s a youthful wine that’s invitingly approachable, while still offering the richness and decadence we love." Winemaker's Taste Note: "The 2013 Merlot has aromas of plum and dark cherries with an uplifting hint of warm spices. Performing better from bottle than it did from barrel, this prodigious red exhibits incredibly velvety tannins, a seamless style, and no noticeable oak (which is remarkable given the fact it spent 32 months in barrel).
