2012 Saxum "Terry Hoage" Paso Robles Rhône Blend
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Saxum "Terry Hoage" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (97RP, 92VN, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Just bottled five weeks ago, the 2012 Terry Hoage Vineyard (330 cases) is a thrilling blend of 51% Syrah, 31% Grenache and 18 % Mourvedre. It has an up front approachable and sexy feel in its cherry blossom and black raspberry fruit, crushed flowers and spice aromas and flavors. Full-bodied, concentrated and with sweet tannin, it’s the most ready-to-go in the lineup, yet will still have 10-12 years of longevity. (JD)" (08/2014)

2006 Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2006 Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98WE, 96RP, 95ST, 94WS). Wine Enthusiast: "*** Cellar Selection ***The 2006 flagship Cabernet from Quilceda Creek is a massive wine that has just begun to emerge from its slumber. When first released the wine seemed to have entered a dumb phase, but six months later it responds to decanting and shows its muscle. Fruit flavors of black, brandied cherries, cassis and bourbon-soaked plums are wrapped in generous, layered oak. The wine is dusty, smoky, laced with streaks of licorice and brightened with sharp acids. It continues to expand further in the glass, adding flesh and spice to its frame, with a cedar/cigar box finish. (PG)" (03/2010)

Of the 2012 Rhys "Alpine Vineyard" Santa Cruz Mountains Pinot Noir,Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar writes: "Vivid ruby-red. Intensely perfumed, mineral-driven red berry, blood orange and potpourri aromas are complemented by deeper-pitched notes of cola and smoky Indian spices. Sweet, focused and light on its feet, offering intense raspberry and bitter cherry flavors and a silky, seamless texture. The mineral quality comes back on the endless finish, which is strikingly pure, focused and gently tannic. I was reminded of a high-end Chambolle-Musigny when I tasted this balanced but intensely flavored wine and suspect that it will age slowly

2009 Shafer "Hillside Select" Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2009 Shafer "Hillside Select" Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon (98VN, 97WE, 96WS, 95CG, 94RP, 93ST). Vinous: "Shafer's 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Hillside Select is all high notes. Sweet red plum and cherry notes meld into mint, spice and new leather, all supported by silky, polished tannins that add finesse to the plush fruit. Rich, opulent and beautifully textured throughout, the 2009 is going to provide fabulous, viscerally thrilling drinking pretty much right out of the gate. This is a great Hillside Select. Frankly, I can't imagine anyone who enjoys Hillside Select not wanting the 2009 in their cellar. The persistent, resonant finish is pure sensuality. (AG)" (11/2013)

Bid on this magnum lot of 2004 Dom Pérignon Brut Champagne (1.5L) (97VN, 96JS, 96W&S, 95RP, 95WS, 94ST). Vinous: "This tasting only serves to highlight just how great the 2004 Dom Pérignon is. A wine that has totally blossomed in bottle, the 2004 is firing on all cylinders right now. Rich, ample and beautifully nuanced, the 2004 has it all; expressive aromatics, deep fruit and more than enough structure to age well for decades. I have been tasting the 2004 since before it was released and it just keeps getting better and better. Today, it is stunning. It is amazing to consider that in 2004, yields were the largest ever recorded in Champagne. 97+ Points (AG)" (05/2014)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Marcassin "Blue Slide Ridge Vineyard " Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (94RP, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The medium to full-bodied, dark ruby/plum-colored 2010 Pinot Noir Blue Slide Ridge displays the blue fruit spectrum along with some raspberries, fresh mushrooms and spring flowers, a layered mouthfeel, more minerality than the explosive 2009 exhibited, outstanding ripeness and lots of personality. Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2013 Rivers-Marie "Gioia" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir. Allen Meadows - Burghound: "This is noticeably reduced and I would strongly recommend decanting it if you're going to try a bottle young. Otherwise there is good freshness and verve to the middle weight flavors that possess a suave and rounded mouth feel before culminating in a cool, dusty and firm finish that suggest that this will need, as well as reward, 6 to 8 years of cellaring." The tannins are dense and assertive now, and a sweet fruit component balances the finish, ending with a long aftertaste. Best from 2013 through 2027. (BS)" (08/2011)

2006 Aubert "UV Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2006 Aubert "UV Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (94ST, 92RP). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Good deep, bright red. More earth and iron and less primary fruits and flowers on the nose, owing to the clay content in the soil. Then large-scaled and plump with fruit in the mouth, showing a sappy quality and more energy than the Rueling if not quite the same early pliancy. Blueberry and wild strawberry flavors emerged with air. Finishes lush and broad, with noble tannins and outstanding length." (06/2008)

2013 Horsepower "Sur Echalas Vineyard" Walla Walla Valley Syrah
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2013 Horsepower "Sur Echalas Vineyard" Walla Walla Valley Syrah (97RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Up with the top three or four Syrahs in the vintage, the 2013 Syrah Sur Echalas Vineyard, which was bottled in August of last year, offers a complex, savory, mineral-laced style to go with a complex bouquet of ground herbs, pepper, beef blood, dried flower and cured meats. This is a full-bodied Syrah that has considerable mid-palate density, fine tannin and good overall freshness (although I'm sure the pH is 4 or higher). Like the 2012, it needs 2-3 years of bottle age and will drink well for 15 years or more. (JD)" (06/2015)

2014 Sine Qua Non "Light Motif" Central Coast Proprietary White Blend
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2014 Sine Qua Non "Light Motif" Central Coast Proprietary White Blend (97RP, 94VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Starting with the whites and a rich, thrillingly concentrated and unctuous wine from Manfred, the 2014 White Wine Lightmotif is made from 47% Roussanne, 21% Chardonnay, 14% Petite Manseng, 11% Viognier and 7% Marsanne that spent 19 months in a combination of concrete eggs, new French oak, neutral barrels and a tiny portion in stainless steel. Coming from close to equal parts Eleven Confessions, Cumulus and Bien Nacido vineyards, this beauty sports a medium gold color to go with a rich, layered profile that carries tons of ripe peach, honeycomb, pineapple, flowers and citrus. Pure, elegant and silky on the palate, with full-bodied richness, it never puts a foot wrong, is ethereally textured and has a great finish. Drink it anytime over the coming decade. (JD)" (08/2016)

Bid on this magnum lot of 1970 Lynch-Bages, Pauillac (1.5L) (91RP, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1970 is an old style Lynch Bages with plenty of dry tannin in the finish. Compellingly aromatic, it offers aromas of cedar wood, spice box, tobacco, earth, black currants, and new saddle leather. Spicy, concentrated, and burly, with mouth-searing tannin, this big, thick wine is a terrific example of Lynch Bages made in an older style. (RP)" (06/2000)

Bid on this bottle of 2006 Kapcsandy Family "State Lane Vineyard Roberta's Reserve" Napa Valley Red Blend (96RP, 93ST, 92JS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2006 Roberta’s Reserve State Lane Vineyard is potentially the finest Merlot being made in California, although it has several noteworthy competitors, particularly Pahlmeyer. The Roberta’s Reserve exhibits classic Merlot notes of chocolate fudge and mocha intertwined with black currants, sweet black cherries, and hints of smoke and forest floor. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2011 Paul Lato "Il Padrino - Bien Nacido Vineyard" Santa Maria Valley Syrah (95RP, 93VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Harvested in the first week of November, with tiny yields, the 2011 Syrah II Padrino Bien Nacido Vineyard is flat-out gorgeous. Fermented with 20% stem inclusion and richer and more masculine than the Larner Vineyard, with ripe raspberry, ground pepper, toast, underbrush, roasted meat and big crushed stone-like minerality, it flows onto the palate with a medium to full-bodied, firm and structured feel. Still playing in the house style of highlight elegance and finesse over power and richness, it needs another 1-2 years of bottle age and will have 12-15 years of ultimate longevity. Not harvested until mid-October and aged in 15% new French oak barrels, this full-bodied, decadent and concentrated Syrah has another handful of years before hitting full-maturity, and will have 25+ years of ultimate longevity. This is their 30th anniversary bottling, and it’s worthy of the tradition. Ultrarich and smooth, with a mouthfeel that’s pure velvet, it’s fairly thick in tannins now, suggesting cellaring. Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Kosta Browne Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (93RP, 92VN, 92WS, 91ST, 90CG). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast is a beautiful wine that comes from four vineyards, Gap’s Crown, Griffin’s Lair, Terra de Promissio and Walala. It has a deep ruby/semi-opaque color that is followed by a youthful, rich and concentrated wine offering classic dark cherries, plum, licorice, ground herbs and baking-spice-driven aromas and flavors. Medium to full-bodied, layered and structured, it opens up beautifully with air, has seamlessly integrated fruit, tannin and alcohol, and stays classy and nicely focused on the finish. 1996 Pichon-Baron, Pauillac
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1996 Pichon-Baron, Pauillac (94RP, 90ST, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1996 Pichon-Longueville Baron has a deep garnet core with some bricking on the rim. The nose is fragrant and generous with more red fruit than black, cedar and tobacco, fine definition, perhaps a little rustic in keeping with the winemaking at the time, but certainly giving lots of pleasure. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin -- a cohesive Pauillac with plenty of depth and fine balance. The acidity lends this plenty of freshness and it does not shortchange you with plenty of tarry, cedary fruit. You come away with the impression that this Pichon Baron is going to continue to improve although I would not burn anyone at the stake for opening it now. If you cannot afford the First Growth then this (and Pichon Lalande) would be where I would come. (NM)" (10/2016)

1992 Ridge Vineyards Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 1992 Ridge Vineyards Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon. Ridge wine is made with an emphasis on quality and naturalness that is rarely attempted. Our grapes are grown in select vineyards (usually identified on the label), where they are left to ripen to peak maturity, often at some loss of quantity. We let the wine settle and age in small barrels, with only rare cellar treatment other than racking. Varieties are not blended unless so indicated on the label. Near Black Mountain on Monte Bello Ridge, our main vineyard is 10 miles south of Palo Alto, 15 miles inland from the ocean, and over 2000 feet in elevation.

Of the 2007 Domaine de la Janasse Châteauneuf-du-Pape Vieilles Vignes,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "A bigger, richer, more concentrated wine than the ethereally textured Cuvee Chaupin, the 2007 Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvée Vieilles Vignes is unquestionably one of the wines of the vintage as well as one of the finest Chateauneuf du Papes ever made. Offering notes of cassis, roasted meats, beef blood and licorice, this heavenly 2007 is full-bodied, hugely concentrated and rich yet shows incredible purity, focus and precision, with no sensation of heaviness or weight. It’s still deep purple colored, with no signs of evolution, and it has another two decades of life. Having said that

Of the 2012 Anthill Farms "Demuth" Anderson Valley Pinot Noir,Vinous writes: "The 2012 Pinot Noir Demuth Vineyard is a drop-dead gorgeous beauty. Vibrant, nuanced and delineated, the 2012 stands out for its clarity and detail. The flavors are wonderfully alive in the glass, while the balance of fruit, acidity and tannin is superb. The Demuth seems to have handled its recent bottling better than some of the other wines in the range. The inclusion of 50% stems lends an additional dimension of brightness to the expressive cranberry and pomegranate flavors. I was quite taken with the wines I tasted from Anthill Farms this year. 2005 Barde-Haut, St-Emilion (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum lot of 2005 Barde-Haut, St-Emilion (1.5L) (93ST, 92RP, 90WS). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Good full ruby-red. Explosive ripe aromas of redcurrant, minerals, chocolate mint and tomato. Large-scaled, voluptuous and sweet, with very intense berry and chocolate flavors lifted by minerals, menthol and spices. Finishes with wonderfully broad tannins and an extremely long finish that leaves the palate vibrating. From a very cold terroir (the soil is clay over rocky limestone) that takes longer to warm up each day, but in 2005 this vineyard obviously reached near-perfect ripeness. Offers an exciting combination of thickness and depth with lift. (ST)" (05/2008)

1974 Cavallotto "Bricco Boschis" Barolo
Bid on this bottle of 1974 Cavallotto "Bricco Boschis" Barolo . About the producer: "At the gates of Castiglione Falletto, in the heart of the Barolo Zone, on the slopes of the Bricco Boschis, one finds the Cavallotto Winery, which lies on 25 hectares of land. Today the children of Olivio – Laura, Giuseppe and Alfio, the 4th generation working the family farm – continue to exclusively vinify the grapes produced in their estate vineyards into DOC and DOCG wines: Barolo, Dolcetto d’Alba, Barbera d’Alba, Langhe Nebbiolo, Langhe Freisa, Langhe “Grign” made from Grignolino grapes, Langhe Chardonnay and “Pinner” made from Pinot Nero grapes. Since 1928, the Cavallottto family has owned the estate Tenuta Bricco Boschis. In 1946, they were the first cultivators in Castiglione Falletto to vinify all of their estate’s fruit. In 1948 they released the first bottling of their own BAROLO wine, with the label and registered trademark of Cavallotto."

2004 Troplong Mondot, St-Emilion
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2004 Troplong Mondot, St-Emilion (92W&S, 90WS). Wine & Spirits: "At the Union des Grands Crus tasting in 2005, this was elegant red ambrosia; it showed beautifully sweet and ripe at our recent tasting in New York. A gracious pillow of Merlot with mineral tannins to make it mouthwatering and lengthen the finish, this only gets better with air. Oak adds to the elegance of the wine and it seems destined to drink well over the course of the next ten years or more. The château was upgraded to Premier Grand Cru Classé status in 2006." Bid on this magnum lot of 2012 Domaine Anne et Hervé Sigaut Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru "Les Fuées" (1.5L) ((88-91BH)). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "There is a deft touch of wood setting off the aromas of plum, black cherry and wet stone where the latter element is very much front and center on the detailed and highly energetic middle weight flavors. The supporting tannins are moderately firm and clearly ripe though they are perhaps a bit less refined than I am used to seeing with this wine. Overall I like the depth of material and this may surprise to the upside if it harmonizes." (01/2014)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2003 Bruno Giacosa "Asili" Barbaresco (93VN, 92RP). Vinous: "Things kicked up several notches with a flight of Barbareschis from the famed Asili vineyard. Asili is in the village of Barbaresco, where the wines are generally more feminine than in Neive. The best wines from this site have great aromatics and fine, silky tannins. Giacosa’s 2003 Barbaresco Asili enjoyed a surprisingly strong showing. It was impressive, powerful and youthful. (AG)" (10/2010)

Bid on this magnum lot of 2002 Domaine Perrot-Minot Vosne-Romanée "Champs Perdrix" Vieilles Vignes (1.5L). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Good saturated deep red. Raw black cherry, strawberry preserves and minerals on the nose. Generous, broad and dry in the mouth, with good underlying minerality. Vinous: "Freshly cut flowers, mint and sweet red stone fruits are some of the notes that come alive in Elio Altare's 2004 Barolo Arborina, a wine that captures the essence of this La Morra site in its overall energy and tension. Even at ten years of age, the 2004 remains fresh and vibrant to the core, with an extra degree of sensuality conferred by the personality of the year. Bid on this magnum lot of 2009 Domaine Dublère Volnay 1er Cru "Taillepieds" (1.5L) ((91-93BH)). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "This offers yet another notch up in overall refinement, particularly on the equally perfumed and refined nose where the stone component is front and center on the high-toned and ultra-pure red pinot fruit and floral suffused nose. There is an equally strong mineral component to the detailed, energetic and precise flavors that possess ample mid-palate concentration that buffers the moderately austere finish. This is a classy and long effort that is perhaps a bit less Cistercian in character than usual but young Taillepieds is rarely ever open for business immediately." (05/2011)

Bid on this magnum lot of 2006 Joseph Drouhin Beaune Clos des Mouches Rouge (1.5L) (91RP, 91ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The Drouhin 2006 Beaune Clos des Mouches as usual reflects extensive acreage planted largely with old selection massale vines and pampered as a flagship. Stylistically, too, this is another world from that in the glass of this year's Beaune Greves. Here we have thought-provoking complexity of animal and mineral nuances allied to a rather brooding, dark fruit fundament with a bitter herbal edge. There is spice here as well, but of a sharply penetrating and pungent sort, suggesting raw ginger and white pepper. At the same time, this shares with nearly all of the Drouhin wines of its vintage a soothing creaminess allied to an overtly lactic flavor component which I don't find disturbing or discordant, though some might. The contrast of textural allure and pungent attack persists here into a long, satisfying and stimulating finish. I would feel confident making p

Bid on this magnum lot of 2012 Caymus "Special Selection" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (96RP, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Special Selection has a dense blackish/purple color and creamy, sweet crème de cassis fruit, blackberries, a touch of graphite and vanilla, This exuberant, boisterous, in-your-face style of Cabernet Sauvignon is clearly a fruit bomb, so be warned. Full-bodied and opulent with stunning concentration and richness, the wine has no hard edges and is much in the Caymus style of terrific fruit intensity (most of it black and blue), voluptuous texture, and a stunning finish with plenty of glycerin, wood and spice. The alcohol on the label is listed at 14.8%, which seems about accurate. I have Caymus Special Selection in my cellar back to some of the historic wines made by Chuck Wagner’s father in the early 1970s, and while the style’s gotten more precocious and consumer-friendly, these wines, even the more latter-day styles,
