Bid on this 3-magnum lot of 2009 Pierre Yves Colin Morey Puligny Montrachet Les Champs Gains (1.5L) ((91-93BH), 91RP). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "This is ever-so-slightly riper than the Trézin with a touch of wood setting off floral and lemon-inflected aromas that are in keeping with the citrusy, rich and quite concentrated medium-bodied flavors that finish with excellent intensity and impressive complexity. 2001 Bond "St. Eden" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this bottle of 2001 Bond "St. Eden" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (100RP, 96WS, 95WE, 94ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Utterly perfect, another wine that seems to have taken on a first-growth Pauillac-like character (think Mouton-Rothschild) is the 2001 St. Eden. With a remarkably perfumed nose of crushed rocks, subtle barbecue smoke, and again, cedar wood intermixed with creme de cassis and blackberry, this wine displays a phenomenally concentrated mouthfeel, full-bodied opulence, voluptuous texture, and of this trio, is certainly the closest to its apogee of full maturity. Nevertheless, it will still benefit from another 5-10 years of cellaring and keep for an additional 25-30. (RP)" (06/2011)

2003 Pride Mountain Vineyards "Reserve" Sonoma/Napa Counties Claret
Bid on this bottle of 2003 Pride Mountain Vineyards "Reserve" Sonoma/Napa Counties Claret (97RP, 95WE, 93CG, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2003 Reserve Claret is a blend of 67% Merlot and 33% Cabernet Sauvignon that achieved 14.4% alcohol. An exquisite candidate for wine of the vintage, it comes from a vineyard high on the summit of Spring Mountain. Eighty-three percent of the fruit comes from Sonoma and the rest from Napa County as the vineyard sits astride the county lines. Its dark plum/garnet color reveals a slight lightening at the edge. A beautiful nose of cedarwood, forest floor, red and black currants, kirsch and plum is followed by a full-bodied wine with great freshness, a rich, textured mouthfeel and sensational concentration with no heaviness. This is an uplifting, quintessential mountain Cabernet Sauvignon that outperforms the vintage. Just entering its plateau of full maturity, it can be drunk now and over the next decade. 2001 Robert Mondavi Stag's Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2001 Robert Mondavi Stag's Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon (92RP, 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The Chateau Margaux look-alike, the 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon Stags Leap District, exhibits a dense ruby/purple color as well as a sweet nose of acacia flowers, white chocolate, and asphalt presented in a medium to full-bodied, well-delineated, lush style that manages to conceal serious tannin in the finish. A blend of 97% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Merlot, this beauty can be enjoyed now and over the next 12-15 years." (12/2003)

2004 Diamond Creek "Red Rock Terrace" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2004 Diamond Creek "Red Rock Terrace" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96W&S, 95CG, 91WS). Wine & Spirits: "** Year's Best 2007 **The most classical of the three Diamond Creek wines in 2004, Red Rock is also the most perfectly formed. It starts with a dark oak savor that turns to succulent cherry and deepens to black currant. Its freshness feels as cool as the shade on a sunny Diamond Mountain afternoon. Firm tannins support the fruit, and it's the fruit that lasts, set to go the distance. A great vintage of Red Rock, this has decades of development ahead. " (12/2007)

Allen Meadows - Burghound: "An expressive and clearly ripe nose features notes of rosemary resin, dried flowers, pear and white peach. Still, this is really very good and worth a look." (06/2012)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2005 Spottswoode "Family Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (97WE, 96RP, 95JS, 93ST, 93WS, 90CG). Wine Enthusiast: "Tasted in a big lineup of St. Helena Cabernets, Spottswoode’s magnificent ’05 stood out. It’s a massive powerhouse, explosive in black currant, cherry pie, plum, chocolate, anise and cedar flavors that are detailed and precise. However, the wine, which was blended with a little Cabernet Franc, is graceful and balanced. Drinkable now due to its softly refined tannins, but has the integrity to ride out the years. 1997 Mayacamas Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 1997 Mayacamas Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96VN). Vinous: "The 1997 Cabernet Sauvignon tastes almost like it was made yesterday, such is its freshness. Pliant, explosive and racy, the 1997 bursts on the palate with waves of dark red fruit. The flavors remain pretty primary, so readers who want the full Mayacamas experience will have to give the 1997 further bottle age. That is the bad news. The good news is that the 1997 is a truly special wine that will thrill readers for the next two-plus decades. 96+ (AG)" (06/2014)

With superb fruit, full body, admirable richness and acidity, and a fleshy, long mouthfeel, this stunning Pinot is just becoming approachable and drinkable. It should last for 10-15 years. Bid on this 2-half-bottle lot of 1999 Chapoutier Hermitage Vin de Paille (375ml) (91RP, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "There are limited cuvees of Chapoutier's sweet, oily, viscous vin de paille. The amber-colored 1999 Ermitage Vin de Paille reveals more new oak than expected, but it had just finished fermentation and perhaps is not as seamless as it will be in several years. Of the 2011 Checkerboard "Checkerboard" Napa Valley Proprietary Red,From the winery writes: "The warm and dry growing season of 2011 produced a later than usual harvest date allowing us to achieve optimum ripeness. The 2011 Checkerboard showcases the rich concentration of our hillside vineyards and yields a consistency of character that increases as the vines continue to mature. There is a lovely finesse to the wines, a complexity of ripe red fruits, spice and dried currants. Juicy and exuberant, the 2009 has always had a certain raciness that is impossible to resist. Layers of fruit continue to build to the enveloping, sensual finish. Readers will have a hard time keeping their hands off this hugely delicious wine. (AG)" (12/2012)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2007 Colgin "IX Estate" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (OWC - 100RP, 97JS, 97WS, 96ST) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The staggeringly rich, complex, harmonious, impeccably well-balanced 2007 IX Proprietary Red Estate (1,400 case produced) exhibits aromas of spring flowers, cedarwood, Asian spices, licorice, blueberries, and blackberries. A distinct liqueur of minerals buttresses the full-bodied, massive concentration, giving an overall impression of elegance, purity, and harmony. This is another seamless tour de force in winemaking. It should drink well for 25 or more years." (12/2009)

2000 Lynch-Bages, Pauillac
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2000 Lynch-Bages, Pauillac (97RP, 96WS, 95JS, 95WE, 94ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Beginning to open magnificently, the still dense purple-colored 2000 reveals a blossoming bouquet of blackberries, cassis, graphite and pen ink. Full-bodied with velvety tannins that have resolved themselves beautifully over the last eleven years, this wine is still an adolescent, but it exhibits admirable purity, texture, mouthfeel and power combined with elegance. One of the all-time great examples of Lynch Bages, the 2000 is just beginning to drink well yet promises to last for another 20-25+ years. (RP)" (08/2011)

2010 Caymus "Special Selection" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Caymus "Special Selection" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98RP, 96WS, 93AG, 92W&S). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Special Selection exhibits an opaque purple color, slightly more toasty oak in the aromatics, and explosive richness on the attack, mid-palate and length. The nose is slightly more restrained than in the regular bottling, but there is no doubting the Special Selection is a cut or two above the Napa bottling when it hits the palate. Extraordinary purity of fruit, creme de cassis, licorice and incense all emerge from this full-bodied, iconic classic. It can be enjoyed now and over the next 25+ years. (RP)" (10/2013)

2007 Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2007 Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP, 96WE, 95ST, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A monumental wine in the making, the 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon is one of those wines that presents such an over the top array of aromas and flavors that it’s hard to figure out what you think about it with just a quick glance. It’s only with the second or third sip that you really start to see how special this effort truly is. Offering up perfumed, intense aromas of plum, violets, ink, licorice and black currants, it flows onto the palate with a massive, incredibly full-bodied texture that builds through the mid-palate and carries layers of polished tannins, awesome purity of fruit and blockbuster length. Most likely not for everyone given the sheer size, it is an incredible wine in my opinion. Still tasting like a barrel sample, it will have 30+ total years of longevity. Drink 2017-2037. 1995 Chateau Montelena "Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 1995 Chateau Montelena "Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (94RP, 92WS, 91ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "At the winery, I rated the 1995 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate one point below what I gave it in the blind tasting. Nevertheless, my notes on both tastings are nearly identical. This is another winery where the 1995 may be as strong as the 1994. The color is an opaque purple. The wine is full-bodied and powerful, with classic notes of cassis intermixed with loamy soil scents, underbrush, and spice. There is massive body and elevated, but sweet tannin that is well-integrated with the wine's other components, a blockbuster mid-palate, and a finish that lasts for 30+ seconds. Anticipated maturity: 2000-2025. Modern-day society seems to always be in search of new stars, but this winery has been a super hero for great California Cabernet Sauvignon for nearly 25 years! Montelena's Estate Cabernet Sauvignons are equivalent to buying blue chip stock. They ge

Freshly cut flowers, juicy raspberries, anise and sweet spices literally jump from the glass in an Opus One that is all about opulence and huge, voluptuous fruit. Juicy, vibrant and impeccably balanced, the 2002 is firing on all cylinders today. The creamy, layered finish is simply impeccable. This is a fabulous showing. " (06/2013)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2007 Domaine du Pégaü "Cuvée Réservée" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (95RP, 95WS, 94ST). Wine Spectator: "This packs it all together, with the ripe plum sauce, braised fig and currant paste notes of the vintage matched with invigorating hoisin sauce, brick dust and grilled beef notes. The long finish drips with fruit, but stays framed by a wild edge that keeps this firmly planted in terroir. Best from 2011 through 2031." (06/2010)

1995 Bryant Family Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1995 Bryant Family Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (99RP, 95ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1995 Cabernet Sauvignon is cut from the same mold as the profound 1996, displaying astonishing levels of black fruits (the usual suspects - blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, and cassis), phenomenal concentration, and virtually perfect balance and equilibrium. I recently wrote an article in Food and Wine magazine itemizing the characteristics of a great wine. They are: 1) the ability to please both the palate and the intellect, 2) the ability to hold the taster's interest, 3) the ability to offer intense aromas and flavors without heaviness, 4) the ability to taste better with each sip, 5) the ability to improve with age, and 6) the ability to offer a singular personality. This wine satisfies every one of those requirements. I often wonder if I get too excited about wines such as this. Yet time is on their side. I truly believe that in 20, 40, or 60 years

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2010 Domaine Arnoux-Lachaux Latricières-Chambertin Grand Cru ((93-95BH), (90-92ST)). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "(Don't Miss!) A fresh but quite restrained and noticeably cool nose of herb and stone-infused wild red berry fruit aromas precedes impressively intense, powerful and agreeably rich medium-bodied flavors that ooze a fine minerality on the wonderfully detailed flavors that explode on the mouth coating and overtly stony finish. Like the Suchots, this is one impressive effort with outstanding upside potential though note that at least 15 years of cellar time will be required." (01/2012)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Bonnes Mares opens with gorgeous aromatics that lead to a muscular core of fruit. The wine finds its inner elegance on the mid-palate and finish, where hints of candied fruit and violets come together, adding lift and elegance. The combination of aromatic expressiveness and nuanced fruit elevate this to a very high level. Anticipated maturity: 2019-2034. (AG)" (05/2011)

This should be excellent in time though note that patience is a key requisite." (01/2011)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Tasted blind at the Burgundy 2011 horizontal tasting in Beaune, the Gevrey-Chambertin Clos St Jacques from Louis Jadot was the one that surpassed my expectations. It offers impressive clarity on the nose with ebullient red cherry, strawberry and raspberry fruit intermingling with fine minerality. This has class written all over it. The palate is medium-bodied with crisp acidity, tart red cherry fruit and great tension on the finish, if not the persistence that a more benevolent growing season would have given. Sublime. Lovely Puligny aromas and flavors of peach, pear, vanilla, noble herbs and white flowers.
