2014 Aubert "CIX" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2014 Aubert "CIX" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay ((98-100RP), 94VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2014 Chardonnay Cix looks killer and may even eclipse the 2013. It is even denser, richer and fuller, with much of the same character, but there’s an even stronger core of fruit, slightly more glycerin, and thrilling aromatics and flavors. (RP)" (12/2015)

Of the 2009 Saxum "Paderewski Vineyard" Paso Robles Red Blend,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The 2009 Paderewski Vineyard is a new bottling from a site Smith developed for Bill and Liz Armstrong, the owners of Epoch. Zinfandel, Syrah, Petit Sirah and Mourvedre are planted in separate plots but co-fermented. Layers of dark fruit meld into flowers, mint, sweet spices, menthol, eucalyptus and plums, with marvelous density and harmony. This shows superb aromatic complexity and tons of nuance to match its absolutely striking personality. It is a dazzling effort, especially for a young vineyard in just its third leaf. The blend was 39% Zinfandel, 38% Syrah, 13% Petite Sirah and 10% Mourvedre. (AG)

2011 Cayuse "Cailloux Vineyard" Walla Walla Valley Syrah
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2011 Cayuse "Cailloux Vineyard" Walla Walla Valley Syrah (97RP, 96WE, 94VN, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: " The 2011 Syrah Cailloux Vineyard is the only Syrah to incorporate a splash of cofermented Viognier, which in some vintages, can be as much as 10% of the blend. Including 5% in 2011, it has a fabulous perfume of crunchy black fruit, crushed rocks, smoked earth and layers of violets and crushed flowers. Straight-up awesome on the palate, with full-bodied richness and a seamless texture, it opens up in the glass, has superb concentration and blockbuster length. Give it another 2-3 years and enjoy bottles through 2026, although it will certainly evolve longer as well. (JD)" (06/2014)

1993 Ridge Vineyards "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 1993 Ridge Vineyards "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon (93RP, 92WS). 93 points Robert Parker: "The 1993 Ridge Monte Bello (already bottled) is a tightly-wrapped, densely-colored, pure, rich, full-bodied Cabernet with moderately intense aromas of vanilla, black-raspberries, currants, and minerals. This rich wine cuts a deep path on the palate, with high tannin, adequate acidity, and a long, muscular, formidably-endowed finish. Extremely unevolved and young, it needs 7-10 years of cellaring. When young, this wine rarely reveals its full potential. Having said that, the last three vintages of the Monte Bello Cabernet Sauvignon (1993, 1994, and 1995) are immensely impressive, with perhaps the 1994 the least expansive - for now." (04/96)

1995 Shafer "Hillside Select" Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 1995 Shafer "Hillside Select" Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon (98RP, 94WE, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Interestingly, the first thing that came to my mind in smelling the 1995 Shafer Cabernet Sauvignon Hillside Select was a relatively young vintage of Château Latour. Another fabulous effort, with notes of blackcurrants, graphite, a touch of vanilla, sweet tannin and a full-bodied, multidimensional mouthfeel, this vintage offers stunning aromatics of black fruits, earth, charcoal and lead pencil shavings. In addition, there is an intense, full-bodied mouthfeel, and a youthful vibrancy and vigor that are sensational. This is an amazingly young wine that’s coming up on 20 years of age and another great example of just how these best terroirs of Napa can produce incredibly long-lived Cabernet Sauvignons. It should last at least another two decades as well. (RP)" (12/2014)

2006 Hundred Acre "Deep Time" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2006 Hundred Acre "Deep Time" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (97RP, 95ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Finally in the bottle, the 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon Deep Time is the only wine from that vintage I tasted. Most of these wines spend 38-40 months in barrel and as a result seem to be remarkably elegant and complex without showing any new oak. This cuvee is a selection from Kayli Morgan that has been aged longer. Notes of spice box, white chocolate, espresso and sweet black cherries and black currants tumble from the glass of this full-bodied, round, generously endowed wine that has no hard edges. It should continue to drink well for another 12-15+ years. (RP)" (12/2010)

1971 Robert Mondavi "Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1971 Robert Mondavi "Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (90RP, 90VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "With repesct to older vintages, in October I tasted three of Mondavi's more renowned Cabernet Sauvignons. The 1971 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve (the first vintage to carry a Reserve designation) includes a significant percentage of Cabernet Franc. This has always been one of the more compelling Reserve wines. It reached its peak in the late seventies, and continued to drink well for many years. At this tasting in October, I rated the wine 90 points, but I must say it had a 96 point bouquet. It seemed to be drying out every so slightly in the mouth. The wine still possesses an astonishing fragrance, reminiscent of a hypothetical cross between a top vintage of Cheval Blanc and a classic cassis-dominated California Cabernet. In the mouth, it never was a blockbuster, but a medium-bodied, graceful wine that relied more on its harmony than power to attract atte

1999 Peter Michael "Crête d'Or" Russian River Valley Chardonnay
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1999 Peter Michael "Crête d'Or" Russian River Valley Chardonnay (93RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "After working with a Russian River grower for a number of years, overseeing the replanting of a vineyard, the grower sold one crop to Peter Michael, and then signed a long term contract with another winery. Consequently, the 1999 will be the only Chardonnay made by Peter Michael from that vineyard. They have named it Crete d'Or. Made from the Hyde clone, the brilliant 1999 Chardonnay Crete d'Or is a creamy-textured, flamboyant, ostentatiously-styled Chardonnay with aromas and flavors of roasted hazelnuts, dried apricots, peaches, and pineapples. A rich, full-bodied effort with good underlying acidity as well as a judicious touch of toasty oak... (RP)" (12/2000)

2011 Domaine Bouchard Père et Fils Le Corton Grand Cru (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum of 2011 Domaine Bouchard Père et Fils Le Corton Grand Cru (1.5L) ((92-94BH), (89-93ST), 92W&S, (89-92WS)). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Discreet if not invisible wood surrounds the complex but restrained red currant, spice, smoke, earth and sauvage permeated aromas. There is excellent power and plenty of punch to the broad-shouldered and solidly well-concentrated flavors that possess fine mid-palate concentration before culminating in a balanced and exceptionally persistent finish. This classically styled Corton really does a slow build from the mid-palate on back, though note well that it will be pointless to open this in its youth; in fact, don't buy this unless you intend to cellar it." Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The brilliant 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To-Kalon Vineyard Clone 6 again reveals the first-growth-like nobility and complexity of this phenomenal site in Oakville. Subtle toast/barrique aromas intermixed with creme de cassis, licorice, incense and camphor are followed by a wine of tremendous intensity, full-bodied power, silky tannins and a long, rich, concentrated finish. 2013 Bevan Cellars "Sugarloaf Mountain Vineyard" Napa Valley Proprietary Red
Bid on this bottle of 2013 Bevan Cellars "Sugarloaf Mountain Vineyard" Napa Valley Proprietary Red (99RP, 96VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The last two 2013s I tasted included the 2013 Proprietary Red Sugarloaf Mountain. This fabulous and exciting elixir is a equal-part blend of Cabernet Franc and Merlot aged in equal parts Gamba and Darnajou, all new French oak. A stunning nose of forest floor, blueberry, blackberry, mulberry and spring flowers soars from the glass of this inky purple wine. Another offering of great intensity, with voluptuous texture and lavish, almost extravagant fruit richness, this pure, rich and incredibly well-made wine is yet more proof that Bevan is a genius on so many levels, as he can produce compelling wines whether they are Bordeaux varietals, Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc or even Chardonnay. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2005 Pontet-Canet, Pauillac (97RP, 96WS, 95ST, 94WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Possibly the youngest wine of all the 2005 Médocs in terms of its evolution, at age 10 the inky purple 2005 Pontet-Canet tastes more like a two-year-old wine. Loads of pure blueberry, blackberry and cassis fruit are present along with a hint of licorice and background oak. It is full-bodied, ripe, and excruciatingly fresh, vigorous and exuberant. This is a tour de force, and a sensational effort that rivals the first growths. Give it another 5-10 years of cellaring, and drink it over the following 30-40 years. 97+ points." (06/2015)

Its opaque purple color is followed by notes of beef blood, tar, blueberry and blackberry liqueur, licorice, and acacia flowers. This wine is well-made, but a completely different expression of Pinot Noir from a cooler area. It is remarkable how the 2002 is so different from the explosive 2003. (RP)" (02/2005)

Offering up incredibly pure creme de cassis, tobacco, chocolate, crushed flowers and hints of scorched earth, it flows seamlessly onto the palate with a full-bodied, massively concentrated, yet oh so fine and focused texture that’s hard to beat. Still tannic and youthful, give it another handful of years in the cellar and enjoy over the following decade or longer. Drink 2015-2030." (08/2013)

Of the 2008 Rhys "Horseshoe Vineyard" Santa Cruz Mountains Pinot Noir,Allen Meadows - Burghound writes: "*Outstanding* An exceptionally densely fruited nose that is intensely floral and nuanced with stone, spice and soft earth hints complements to perfection the impressively concentrated medium weight plus flavors that brim with dry extract such that the very firm tannins are rendered almost invisible at present though I suspect that they will become more visible as the baby fat recedes. Of the 1989 Dominus Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The 1989 is undoubtedly the Cabernet Sauvignon of the vintage. The color is a dark ruby/purple and the nose offers up sweet, fragrant scents of black fruits, cedar, herbs, and spicy wood. In the mouth, there is extraordinary concentration, medium to full body, and an authoritatively rich, lingering finish. Terroirists will have a difficult time explaining why the wine tastes more like a Pomerol than Napa Cabernet. Interestingly, Moueix stated the key to his success in 1989 was t

The wine possesses copious fruit, an unctuous texture, and a huge, full-bodied, blockbuster finish. It was aged 15 months in 40% new French oak prior to bottling. 1968 Sebastiani North Coast Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1968 Sebastiani North Coast Cabernet Sauvignon. Cobblestones were the source of the immigrant Samuele Sebastiani's wealth, and he made a small fortune paving the streets of San Francisco. Like some other Italian immigrants, he invested his money in a winery and relied on the next generation to build on the foundation he had laid. His son, August Sebastiani, did not disappoint, building the winery's reputation for sound wines to the point where over 25,000 cases per year were being produced in the 1960s and 1970s, a respectable production for any winery back then. Like many of the great old wines of California, the quickening pace of change and the huge capital costs of investment in the '80s and '90s have reduced the quality of the wines produced. But make no mistake, August Sebastiani produced great wines back in the 1960s.
