2016 Peter Michael "Cuvée Indigène" Knights Valley Chardonnay
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2016 Peter Michael "Cuvée Indigène" Knights Valley Chardonnay ((96-98RP)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2016 Chardonnay Cuvee Indigene offers up exuberant green mango, white peach and lemon zest notes with touches of cashews, lightly browned toast and white blossoms. The medium-bodied palate fills the mouth with mouthwatering perfumed citrus flavors, which are complemented by the silken texture, finishing on a chalky note. (LPB)" (10/2017)

2011 Saxum "Booker Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend
Bid on this bottle of 2011 Saxum "Booker Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (96RP, 94ST, 94VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Beautifully done, and probably the most elegant, seamless version of this cuvee I’ve tasted, the 2011 Booker Vineyard offers terrific aromas and flavors of liquid violets, sappy underbrush, smoked, exotic spices and plenty of crushed rock-like minerality that are all carried by layers of sweet cassis and black raspberry. There’s a northern Rhone-like character here, but it hits the palate with full-bodied richness, fantastic mid-palate concentration, and a seamless, layered and multi-dimensional mouthfeel that’s hard to resist. Made from 67% Syrah and 33% Mourvedre and aged in 300- and 350-liter hogsheads (and fermented with varying degrees of whole cluster), this beautifully pure, polished and complex effort will benefit from short-term cellaring and have over 15 years of overall longevity. 2007 Rhys "Swan Terrace - Alpine Vineyard" Santa Cruz Mountains Pinot Noir
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2007 Rhys "Swan Terrace - Alpine Vineyard" Santa Cruz Mountains Pinot Noir (94BH, 94ST). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Pale violet color. Drop-dead gorgeous aromas of raspberry, potpourri, Asian spices and minerals, with a strong undercurrent of white pepper and mocha; this smells like a Dujac Echezeaux, from a serious vintage. Sweet red and dark berry flavors display liqueur-like depth, tangy minerality giving the wine verve. The mineral note dominates the long, spicy finish, which echoes the red fruit and floral notes. It's hard to find this level of precision, depth and drive outside the high-rent districts of Chambolle. (ST)" (06/2009)

2009 Kistler "Trenton Road House" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2009 Kistler "Trenton Road House" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (96RP, 94VN, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Chardonnay Trenton Roadhouse is one of the more intense wines in the lineup. The Trenton Road House is all about textural power and depth. It will appeal most to readers who enjoy the richer style of California Chardonnay. Layers of fruit build to an explosive finish that won’t be denied, yet the wine turns intensely mineral, pointed and multi-dimensional with time in the glass. This is another great showing. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2019. " (02/2012)

2001 Pride Mountain "Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2001 Pride Mountain "Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98RP, 97WS, 94VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Staggeringly pure notes of creme de cassis, violets, licorice and graphite soar from the glass of this inky/purple-colored wine. Composed of 98% Cabernet Sauvignon and 2% Petit Verdot, and tasting like it is 2-3 years old, it is a stunningly pure, rich, full-bodied, prodigious example of high elevation mountain Cabernet Sauvignon that will not reach full maturity for another 5-7 years, and should age beautifully for another two decades or more. It is a magical wine to smell, taste and contemplate. These impressive 2001s from Pride Mountain Vineyards were made during the regime of Bob Foley and the late Jim Pride. The two most limited production cuvees are the Reserve Claret and Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, which are almost impossible to find. 98+ (RP) " (05/2011)

Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 2012 Williams Selyem "Eastside Road Neighbors" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir (95WE, 93BH, 92CG, 91ST). Wine Enthusiast: "Since this is the winery’s largest production Pinot, but still under 1,000 cases, buyers actually have a chance of finding this full-bodied beauty. Sly on the nose, it is tense in toasty oak and chewy cherry, venturing into black cherry, blackberry and root beer. It’s amply structured and robust, yet with silky tannins. Of the 2012 Turley "Rattlesnake Ridge" Howell Mountain Zinfandel,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The sensational, rich, full-bodied 2012 Zinfandel Rattlesnake Ridge is one of the most concentrated, expressive and exuberant of these 2012 Zins. 2012 Sine Qua Non "Rattrapante - Eleven Confessions Vineyard" Sta. Rita Hills Grenache
Bid on this bottle of 2012 Sine Qua Non "Rattrapante - Eleven Confessions Vineyard" Sta. Rita Hills Grenache (100RP, 97VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A perfect wine any way you look at it, the 2012 Grenache Rattrapante comes all from the Eleven Confessions Vineyard in the Sta. Rita Hills and spent 33 months in 27% new French oak. My notes start - and end - with “Wow.” Giving up tons of black raspberries, peppery herbs, licorice, dried flowers and cured meats, it’s a massively concentrated, rich and layered Grenache that somehow manages to stay graceful, lively and fresh on the palate. There are roughly 800 cases of this elixir and any Grenache lover should do their best to latch onto a bottle (or two). It’s also worth noting that this cuvee saw 26% whole clusters, which is a small change from past vintages. (JD)" (08/2016)

2006 Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 2006 Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Bordeaux Blend (92RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "There are 2200 cases of the 2006 Red Wine, a blend of 77% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc, 10% Merlot, and the balance Petit Verdot and Malbec. While not at the quality level of the top wines, it is a fine introduction to the house style at a very fair price. Dark ruby-colored, it displays a bouquet of cigar box, pencil lead, violets, black currant, and a hint of licorice. Medium to full-bodied, intensely fruited, and with enough structure to evolve for 2-3 years, this lengthy effort will drink well from 2011 to 2018. (JM)" (10/2009)

2004 Bond "St. Eden" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this bottle of 2004 Bond "St. Eden" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (98RP, 96WE, 93AG, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon St. Eden, which comes from a valley floor vineyard in Oakville, is another dead ringer for a great Pauillac, possibly a young Mouton. Dense bluish/purple in color with stunning notes of cedarwood, unsmoked high-quality cigar tobacco, creme de cassis and espresso roast, this wine has fabulous fruit, density and a full-bodied, youthful mouthfeel, wonderful balance and purity, and a terrific finish that goes on for close to a minute. This is also relatively open, but slightly more structured than the Melbury. There’s no sense deferring gratification, so I would suggest drinking it over the next 15-20 years, possibly longer. Bid on this magnum of 2011 Peter Michael "Clos du Ciel" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (1.5L) (94RP, 90VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Another gorgeous, perfectly balanced wine, although not quite as rich as the 2010, is the 2011 Pinot Noir Clos de Ciel. Lots of forest floor, underbrush, cola and red and black currant characteristics are present in this more evolved yet surprisingly powerful and dense 2011. Production was 530 cases, which is significantly more than in either 2009 or 2010. It should drink well for 6-7 years. (RP)" (12/2013)

Bid on this bottle of 2015 Realm "Houyi Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (97JD, 96RP). With a stacked mid-palate, sweet tannin, and an expansive, opulent personality, drink it anytime over the coming two decades. One of the most thrilling tastings I was able to do for this report, these incredible wines from Realm are made by the talented Frenchman, Benoit Touquette. 2012 Martinelli "Martinelli Road" Russian River Valley Chardonnay
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Martinelli "Martinelli Road" Russian River Valley Chardonnay (95RP, 92VN, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The stunning 2012 Chardonnay Martinelli Road sees 65% new French oak. This cuvée always possesses a gravelly, wet pebble minerality along with abundant pineapple, brioche, caramelized citrus and orange blossom characteristics. Dense and full-bodied with stunning purity, ripeness and acidity buttressing this formidably endowed Chardonnay, it should age well for 8-10 years. One of the oldest and most historically significant vineyard owners and wine producers in Northern California is the large Martinelli family that cultivates over 350 acres. Moreover, they have been farming grapes since the late 1800s! Remarkably, 90% or more of their entire production is sold off to other wineries as the production of their Martinelli wines tends to be small, ranging from fewer than 100 cases of the Three Sisters Chardonnay, to 500-600+ cases for the Biondi

The nose just pops out. Intense. Full body, with a round and velvety tannin structure and lots of currants, ripe strawberries. Very intense every. Black pepper at the finish. Muscular yet toned. Very structured yet balanced. This needs a minimum of four to five years of aging. Paul Draper says that perhaps this is as great as the legendary 1991. Made for aging." (05/2012)

Of the 2012 Rivers-Marie "Silver Eagle Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir,Vinous writes: "Deep and powerful, the 2012 Pinot Noir Silver Eagle Vineyard is especially brooding in this vintage. Black cherries, tar, smoke and licorice all burst from the glass in an explosive, full-bodied Pinot. This is one of the more reticent wines in the range, with a burly personality that is going to take some time to fully come together. A hint of salinity is perfectly countered by sweet red fruits. Superb depth and lift on the spicy back end, with the tannins fully coated by fruit. In 2012, Syrah plays a larger role than in both the 2010 and 2011, which is felt in the wine broad, expansive personality. This is going to be a fascinating Esprit to follow over the coming years. 2004 Léoville-Barton, St-Julien (375ml)
Bid on this 6-half-bottle lot of 2004 Léoville-Barton, St-Julien (375ml) (92RP, 91ST, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This is an impressively endowed vin de garde that should age effortlessly for 20-30 years. How Anthony Barton continues to fashion uncompromisingly primordial Bordeaux that are always among the biggest and densest of all the St.-Juliens is beyond me, but he does it year in and year out. Moreover, when it’s time to set the price, he appears to have the consumer foremost in his mind. The 2004 is a classic Leoville-Barton meant for long aging. Concentrated, with loads of smoke, creme de cassis, forest floor, and earthy notes emerge from this impressive, but oh, so backward wine. Anticipated maturity: 2015-2030+. (92+)" (06/2007)

2005 Araujo "Eisele Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2005 Araujo "Eisele Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP, 95ST, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A nose of black raspberries interwoven with floral notes of blackcurrants and spice jump from the glass of this dense ruby/plum/purple wine. This famous vineyard at the northern end of Napa Valley, which in this era was owned by Bart and Daphne Araujo (today owned by François Pinault, the proprietor of Château Latour), can certainly make the argument that it’s one of the first growths of Napa Valley. Sweet, velvety tannin, medium to full body, and extraordinary complexity and elegance characterize this wine, which is seamless and drinking beautifully. While not one of their longest-lived vintages, the balance and purity suggest that, while it may be entering its fully mature stage, it certainly can keep going for another 10-15 years. The finish is easily 40 seconds-plus. (RP)" (06/2015)

2012 Nickel & Nickel "Beatty Vineyard" Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Nickel & Nickel "Beatty Vineyard" Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon. Established in 1997 by Gil Nickel of Far Niente, the winery focuses exclusively on varietal wines from single-vineyard designations. The intention here is to share the diversity of what Napa Valley has to offer, allowing each site to singularly express itself. The winery is also keeping their practices as healthy for the environment as possible: Solar power, net-zero users of electricity, annually producing MORE energy than is consumed, organically grown grapes, replacing conventional company cars with hybrid-engine vehicles, and extensive recycling. Winery note: " This wine offers aromas of cassis, blackberry, green olive, pepper and tar. The earthy and fruity notes are reflected on the palate and harmonize into one juicy package of flavor with the natural intensity of the Howell Mountain area. The texture of this wine is big, yet inviting, and the tannins are rich, not unyielding. T

Bid on this bottle of 2014 Hall "Kathryn Hall" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (97JD, 95RP, 94JS, 94VN). This gives way to an elegant, silky, classic Cabernet Sauvignon that has impeccable balance, sensational purity of fruit, and a great finish." (12/2017)

2006 Far Niente "Cave Collection" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2006 Far Niente "Cave Collection" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. From the winery: "We began the Cave Collection in the late 1980s so enthusiasts could experience our older vintages alongside our newest releases. With each vintage of Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay, we set aside a small percentage of the bottles, finish them with a distinctive, black-banded Cave Collection capsule and place them in a specially branded, six-bottle wooden box." And on the 2006 bottling: "Bright with ripe, purple fruits, this wine will impress with complex, layered aromas of black licorice and briar patch. The silky entry progresses along the palate and gives way to dense, velvety chocolate and toast. Full-bodied and concentrated throughout, the wine lingers on with a long, layered finish."

2014 Aubert "Eastside Vineyard" Russian River Valley Chardonnay
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2014 Aubert "Eastside Vineyard" Russian River Valley Chardonnay (98RP, 96VN, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Absolutely profound is the 2014 Chardonnay Eastside, from the vineyard owned by well-known viticulturalist and farmer Ulises Valdez and planted with a suitcase Montrachet clone on a low-yielding root stock called Riparia Gloire. Smoky crème brûlée notes intermixed with white peach, nectarine, orange marmalade, honeysuckle and buttered apples all jump from the glass of this great Chardonnay that is Grand cru quality, incredibly pure, dense, and long. 1985 Spottswoode Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 1985 Spottswoode Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (93RP, 91CG). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Much younger than the three previous vintages of Spottswoode with much more acidity showing through (a characteristic of this vintage). Dark ruby with more purple in the color, a nice layered attack with licorice, cedar wood, tobacco leaf and black and red currants, the wine has terrific aromatics and is by far the most perfumed of the first four vintages. There is a slight abruptness in the finish, no doubt caused by the noticeable acid. This was an identical blend to the 1984, with 4% Cabernet Franc with a balance of Cabernet Sauvignon. This wine still has some upside, but seems largely at its peak of deliciousness where it should stay for another 15 or so years. (RP)" (08/2016)

1996 Pichon-Baron, Pauillac
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1996 Pichon-Baron, Pauillac (94RP, 90ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1996 Pichon-Longueville Baron has a deep garnet core with some bricking on the rim. The nose is fragrant and generous with more red fruit than black, cedar and tobacco, fine definition, perhaps a little rustic in keeping with the winemaking at the time, but certainly giving lots of pleasure. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin -- a cohesive Pauillac with plenty of depth and fine balance. The acidity lends this plenty of freshness and it does not shortchange you with plenty of tarry, cedary fruit. You come away with the impression that this Pichon Baron is going to continue to improve although I would not burn anyone at the stake for opening it now. If you cannot afford the First Growth then this (and Pichon Lalande) would be where I would come. (NM)" (10/2016)

Bid on this bottle of 1974 Robert Mondavi Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Mondavi's regular 1974 Cabernet still reveals a solid, deep, young color for its age, a tight but spicy, earthy, herb, and curranty-scented nose, medium body, a certain leanness, but good freshness, and a straightforward, monochromatic style. 2012 Neely "Upper Picnic Block- Spring Ridge Vineyard" Santa Cruz Mountains Pinot Noir
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Neely "Upper Picnic Block- Spring Ridge Vineyard" Santa Cruz Mountains Pinot Noir (94RP, 93VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Offering more minerality, with lots of toasted spice, dried earth and wild strawberry aromas and flavors, the 2012 Pinot Noir Upper Picnic Block Spring Ridge Vineyard is another red from the Varner brothers that has a rocking core of sweet fruit, a balanced, harmonious personality and a great finish. While it has solid acidity and tannin structure, everything is nicely integrated and it should drink nicely for upwards of a decade. Some of my favorite Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays in California come from Jim and Bob Varner. As I wrote last year, all of these releases come from the estate Spring Mountain Vineyard, which lies above the fog line at an elevation of 700-900 feet. Everything is farmed organically and there’s no irrigation. With regards to the winemaking, barrel fermentation, native yeast and limited new oak are the name

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Stag's Leap Wine Cellars "Fay" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95WE, 94RP, 93WS, 92VN). Wine Enthusiast: "From the vineyard that helped propel the appellation’s reputation into the stratosphere, this wine delivers both in terms of its historical significance, but also in present-day refinement and complexity. A flinty, earthy layer of black truffle and coffee open the aromatic profile of the wine before offering bold, brawny flavors of leather and black currant. The oak is well integrated and the tannins sizable yet behaved. This is a beautiful wine. *Editors’ Choice* (VB)" (06/2015)

2004 Pahlmeyer Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this bottle of 2004 Pahlmeyer Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (98RP, 92ST, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Composed of 79% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc, 4% Petit Verdot and 1% Malbec, the saturated purple-colored 2004 Proprietary Red Wine is a wonderful monster in the making. It boasts a dense purple color as well as notes of beef blood, creme de cassis, licorice, incense and spring flowers. It looks more like a 2-year-old wine than one that has seen its tenth birthday. Mouth-coating, unctuously textured, corpulent but well-delineated, this is a spectacular Proprietary Red that is even greater than I remember it in its youth. Bravo to Jayson Pahlmeyer (I believe his winemaker at the time was Erin Green) for this dynamic duo of 2004s. (RP)" (04/2014)

2012 Vineyard 29 "29 Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2012 Vineyard 29 "29 Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98RP, 92VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Stunning, but a more classic and elegant wine without any of the scorched earth , Graves-like character of the Aida Vineyard is the classic 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon 29 Estate. This is a fabulous property on the lower hillsides of the Mayacamas Mountains. A blend of 96% Cabernet Sauvignon and 4% Petit Verdot aged in 100% new French oak, the 2012 is inky purple, with a gorgeous nose of lead pencil shavings, spring flowers, blackberry and blueberry fruit, cedar wood and baking spices. 1995 Forman Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum of 1995 Forman Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (92ST, 91WS). 92 points Stephen Tanzer: "Bright red-ruby. Complex, subtle aromas of currants, spices, flowers, loam and meat. Velvety-smooth in the mouth but given clarity by lovely acids. This is quite intensely flavored but extremely elegant and understated, with a complete absence of hard edges. Intriguing mineral and floral nuances in the mouth. Very long, subtly fruity aftertaste features completely buffered tannins. This is exactly the kind of cabernet that might be underappreciated in a blind tasting against darker, more powerfully tannic examples from Napa Valley, but it a thoroughly compelling wine that complements rather than overwhelms food." (May/Jun 98) 91 points Wine Spectator: "Ripe, rich, smooth and concentrated, still rangy and a bit raw around the edges, but the core of fruit is sharply focused on currant, black cherry, sage, cedar and spice. Finishes with a long, complex aftertaste." (06/98)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2006 Pichon-Lalande, Pauillac (94RP, 94WE, 93ST, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Tasted at the property, the 2006 Château Pichon-Lalande has a voluminous bouquet with outgoing blackberry, cassis and violets scents, a touch of boysenberry jam tucked just underneath, although it does not quite have the delineation of the Lynch Bages. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin. This feels very composed in the mouth, quite fresh with well-judged acidity, harmonious and tensile on the finish. This deserves a higher score than I awarded out of barrel and it continues to improve year by year. (NM)" (05/2016)
