2010 Shafer "Hillside Select" Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2010 Shafer "Hillside Select" Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP, 98JS, 95VN, 95WE, 95WS, 93CG). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A remarkable wine, the 2010 Shafer Cabernet Sauvignon Hillside Select has gone from strength to strength since it was in cask. It is stunningly rich, with classic, fragrant notes of blackcurrants, blackberries, vanilla, graphite and spring flowers. It exhibits an opaque purple color, with a full-bodied, massive mouthfeel, but no heaviness, and again, a flawless integration of acidity, tannin, alcohol and wood. It’s classic California Cabernet, but beautifully put together, showing impeccable craftsmanship and fabulous potential. This is obviously a very young, infantile style of Cabernet that won’t hit its prime for at least another decade and last close to half a century, based on how older vintages that were less well-endowed have matured from Shafer. (RP)" (12/2014)

1969 Clair Dau Bonnes Mares Grand Cru
Bid on this bottle of 1969 Clair Dau Bonnes Mares Grand Cru (94BH). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "In contrast to the last bottle in 750 ml format (see herein), this was immediately expressive with a terrific nose of genuinely stunning elegance that combines relativley fresh if fully mature aromas of spice, wet stone, game and sous bois. There is equally good, purity and freshness to the utterly delicious medium weight, refined and relatively feminine flavors for a cru like Bonnes Mares. There is seriously impressive length and while the essentially character of this wine is one of understated elegance and finesse, it does not lack for complexity or flavor authority. I very much like this. As one would expect given the larger format bottle this is still in terrific condition and should continue to hold well for years." (04/2013)

2013 Bevan "Moaveni Vineyard - Ode to M" Bennett Valley Syrah
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2013 Bevan "Moaveni Vineyard - Ode to M" Bennett Valley Syrah (99RP, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2013 Syrah Moaveni Vineyard is 100% Syrah aged in equal parts Gamba and François Frères cooperage. On the back label is a touching quote, 'Ode To M,' the 'M' standing for Manfred Krankl at Sine Qua Non, who has made a full and miraculous recovery from a near-fatal motorcycle crash. Bevan pays homage to him because he loves the wines and the man. This wine flirts with perfection. Blackberry, blueberry, black raspberry, camphor and charcoal notes soar from the glass, and once the wine hits the palate, there’s no doubt we’re into rarefied air. Meaty, lavender-infused barbecue notes are followed by a sumptuously styled, extravagantly rich, incredibly pure, intense expression of Syrah that should drink well for 20 or more years. Don’t dare miss it, but it is one of his more limited cuvées of only 100 cases (or four barrels). (RP)" (03/2016)

2012 Maybach "Materium" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Maybach "Materium" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (98RP, (93-95ST), 95WS, 94JS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "From the red soils near Dalla Valle in the eastern part of the Oakville Corridor, the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Materium is a killer wine. It possesses a striking, intense, rocky minerality, an opaque purple color, and deep, beautiful aromas of camphor, spring flowers, blueberries and black raspberry fruit. There is a cool climate character (even though this is not a cool climate viticultural area) as well as superb richness, a full-bodied mouthfeel, great delineation and a mindboggling finish that lasts nearly a full minute. This outrageous Cabernet Sauvignon can be drunk now and over the next 25 years. (RP) " (10/2014)

1990 Margaux, Margaux
Bid on this bottle of 1990 Margaux, Margaux (100RP, 98ST, 96WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "I had this wine both in Seoul, Korea in February, and from my cellar in December, 2008, and it was remarkable how identical the wines smelled and tasted. It offers an extraordinary aromatic display of spring flowers, camphor, sweet red and black fruits, a hint of licorice, and no evidence of its 100% new oak cask aging. Round and generous with low acidity, but an opulent, full-bodied richness that is fresh with laser-like precision, this stunning wine is just beginning to reach its plateau of full maturity, where it should remain for another three decades. A sensational effort, it is one of the legendary wines made at Chateau Margaux. (RP)" (06/2009)

2007 J.-F. Coche-Dury Meursault 1er Cru "Les Caillerets"
Bid on this bottle of 2007 J.-F. Coche-Dury Meursault 1er Cru "Les Caillerets" (95RP, 92BH, 91ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This wine was last reviewed by my colleague David Schildknecht in 2009. Three year later it has blossomed into a riveting Meursault. Paler in color than I expected, the bouquet has wonderful lift and offers scents of wilted petals, hazelnut and white peach that gain intensity with every swirl of the glass. The palate is superbly balanced and laden with minerals. The bead of acidity is perfectly judged and it engenders an effortless Caillerets that you just fall for immediately. The astounding tension suggests it will evolve over the next decade. Drink now-2025. (NM)" (07/2013)

Of the 2011 Saxum "Paderewski Vineyard" Paso Robles Red Blend,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "Kicking off the 2011s and about as seductive and sexy as they come in the vintage, the 2011 Paderewski Vineyard is an eclectic blend of 34% Zinfandel, 31% Mourvedre, 16% Tempranillo, 10% Syrah and 9% Petite Sirah that comes from a warmer terroir of chalky, calcareous soils. 2008 Sine Qua Non "Kolibri" Proprietary White Blend
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2008 Sine Qua Non "Kolibri" Proprietary White Blend (97RP, 93JS, 93VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2008 Kolibri continues the brilliant success Krankl has had with dry whites. As one can see when visiting his cellars, he is now using the fashionable concrete eggs as part of the white wines' upbringing. About 25% new French oak is used, and the balance is older barrels. Most of the fruit is from estate vineyards, with about 18% purchased from the Bien Nacido Vineyard. The final blend is 69% Roussanne and 31% Viognier. As is found in all Krankl's whites, the 2008 Kolibri possesses extraordinary aromatics. Abundant notes of marmalade, honeysuckle, white flowers, and candied citrus are accompanied by good acidity, beautiful intensity and purity, and a layered, fresh, medium to full-bodied mouthfeel. The wine is intense, but never heavy or overbearing. (RP)" (08/2010)

Bid on this 1.5 liter 1-bottle lot of 1995 Bacio Divino Napa Valley Red Blend (1.5L) (OWC - 94RP, 91WS) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The second awesome release from this tiny winery dedicated to producing intriguing wines, the 1995 Bacio Divino (a blend of 66% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Sangiovese, and 12% Petit Sirah) is a formidable wine of exceptional richness, layers of flavor, and a multi-dimensional personality. The color is a deep saturated ruby/purple. The nose offers up juicy/jammy strawberry, black currant, and blackberry notes wrapped with subtle toasty oak. Full-bodied, with outstanding ripeness and purity, a silky texture, and an explosive finish, this is a sumptuous example of what can be done with three grapes rarely blended together in such proportions. By the way, sentimentalists will be moved by the government warning label that reads, "contains sulphites and also some of the winemaker's heart and soul." 2007 Maison Henri Boillot Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2007 Maison Henri Boillot Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru (97RP, 96BH, 95ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This wine is like a complex and graceful ballet between groups of dancers marked 'fruit,' 'mineral,' 'floral,' and 'animal.' These players include pear, apricot, and lime; chalk, white pepper, salt crustacean shell reduction, chicken broth, and a carpet of flowers: in short, the usual suspects. And here, too, we have soothing and seductive creaminess combined with refreshment, transparency to nuance, and electric energy (even though soothing seduction is not usually delivered by youthful Corton Charlemagne). A prodigious example of Jonata’s style of Syrah, its black color is accompanied by a striking perfume of honeysuckle, white peaches, blackberry liqueur, charcoal, graphite, and pen ink, soft tannins, full-bodied power, a mutlidimensional personality, and a finish that lasts over a minute. Its deep purple color is followed by pure black raspberry and blackcurrant fruit, dusty, loamy soil notes, extraordinary depth of fruit, ripeness and good acidity. It has a darker slant to its fruit with lots of black cherry, licorice, pepper/stem and forest floor emerging from the glass. These flow to a rich, masculine Pinot that has brilliant mid-palate depth, a seamless texture and building tannin that emerges on the finish. Give it a year or two and enjoy bottles through 2025. 2012 Talley "Rosemary's Vineyard" Arroyo Grande Pinot Noir
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Talley "Rosemary's Vineyard" Arroyo Grande Pinot Noir (98RP, 93WE, 92VN, 91CG). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Easily one of the top Pinot Noirs in the vintage (and I'd wager one of the top efforts to ever come out of California), Talley’s 2012 Pinot Noir Rosemary’s Vineyard is world-class stuff that readers need to taste! Unfortunately, there’s a scant 460 cases to go around, but don’t miss a chance to grab some of these. Aged 18 months in 30% new French oak, it exhibits awesome notes of cassis, crushed flowers, rose bush, sappy herbs and exotic spice on the nose. This flows to a medium to full-bodied, rich, yet laser-focused palate that carries tremendous depth, ultra-fine tannin and blockbuster length. Given the balance and purity, it’s already hard to resist, but I’ve no doubt it will evolve nicely for over a decade. (JD)" (11/2014)

2001 Vineyard 29 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2001 Vineyard 29 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP, 92ST, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A gorgeous effort from proprietors Chuck and Anne McMinn, this grand cru vineyard situated north of St. Helena, in the sloping foothills of the Mayacamas Mountains has turned out a beautiful, complex, elegant, Chateau Margaux-like Cabernet Sauvignon. This youthful wine offers a dense ruby/purple color, notes of acacia flowers, blueberry and black currant fruit, full body and stunning finesse, charm, purity and equilibrium. The finish is long, fresh, lively and promising. Although approachable now, it will not hit its peak for another 5-6 years, and should last for 20-25 years thereafter. (RP)" (05/2011)

Of the 2002 Leonetti Walla Walla Valley Cabernet Sauvignon,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "Though the 2001 was exceedingly tannic, the 2002 Cabernet Sauvignon is superb. Its cassis liqueur, blackberry, and spice aromas lead to a juicy, fresh, hugely ripe personality of exceptional purity and length. Blackberries, black currants, and dark cherries vie with spices and oak for the taster’s attention. The flavors are bright, vibrant and beautifully focused throughout. Sweet floral and spice notes add aromatic intrigue, but above all else, the 2014 is a wine of textural richness. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2013 Gevrey-Chambertin Vieilles Vignes, the oldest vines planted back in 1929, has a crisp, slightly leafy bouquet with a light marine influence developing in the glass. The palate is very well balanced with fine tannins, crisp acidity and plenty of dark berry fruit toward the piquant finish. The wine is soft, yielding and charged with a velvety and smooth texture. It is deeply redolent of dark berry, black cherry, spice, leather and tobacco. The wine's sunny personality never feels flat or too dense. In fact, the wine offers a very tight and steely backbone that gives the wine stature and strength. This is one of my favorite Brunellos from the 2011 vintage. (ML)" (03/2016)

2013 Maybach Family "Materium" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2013 Maybach Family "Materium" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "There are roughly 600 cases of the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Materium, all of which comes from the Weitz Vineyard on the eastern Vaca Mountain hillside of Oakville at an elevation of about 1,000 feet above the Silverado Trail. This is shallow soil interspersed with loads of pebbles and stones. This wine is incredible first-growth material – a magical Cabernet Sauvignon with an opaque purple color, an extraordinary nose of blackberry and cassis, white flowers, crushed rock and minerality followed by a full-bodied majestic mouthfeel with phenomenal balance, purity and overall equilibrium. Stunningly rich and impressive, this wine will hit its peak in 8-10 years and has the potential to last 40-50 years. For those who keep track of such things, the wine was completely aged in 100% new Darnajou and Taransaud barrels. (RP)" (10/2015)

Of the 2014 Liquid Farm "La Hermana" Sta. Rita Hills Chardonnay,Vinous writes: "Liquid Farm's 2014 Chardonnay La Hermana shows the class and pedigree of Santa Maria in its layered, deep personality. Bright and intensely saline, the 2014 really pops with intensity and flavor. Lemon peel, grapefruit, graphite, mint, white pepper and chalk notes build into the tense, vibrant finish. Bid on this bottle of 2007 Domaine Roulot Meursault 1er Cru "Les Charmes" (93BH, 92ST, 90RP). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Unlike this wine in 750 ml (see there review herein), there was no touch of unabsorbed sulfur on the nose though there was a mild note of reduction that still allowed the aromas of acacia blossom, hazelnut and brioche to be appreciated. There is good richness to the detailed, textured and silky medium-bodied flavors that caress the palate on the minty and still noticeably tight finish. Not surprisingly in magnum format this is still very much on the way up so I would recommend giving this at least another 5 to 10 years of cellar time first." (12/2015)

1997 Beringer "Private Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 1997 Beringer "Private Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95RP, 94ST, 93WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A bountiful, nearly perfect crop of consistently high quality grapes was created by flawless weather with moderate, but steady temperatures throughout the summer and beautiful weather in September and October. The result is a great vintage in both quality and quantity. The fruit came from five separate vineyards, Bancroft Ranch and Tre Colline on Howell Mountain, Chabot and St. Helena Home Vineyard, and for the first time, a small portion came from the Marston Ranch on Spring Mountain. Still densely purple-colored, the 1997 exhibits wonderful plum, blackberry, cedar, spice and subtle smoky oak notes, a gorgeously opulent texture, full-bodied power and hints of roasted espresso and white chocolate in the flavors. This beauty can be drunk now and over the next 12-15+ years. One of the all-time great Beringer Cabernet Sauvignon Private Reserves, it also

It possesses mineral-tinged blackberry and cassis fruit, massive body, and extraordinary purity and length. It should not be touched for 12-15 years. Of the 1987 Dalla Valle Napa Cabernet Sauvignon,From Robert Parker…'The 1987 Cabernet Sauvignon-Estate, a black/ruby/purple-colored wine, exhibits a touch of oak, but the overall impression is one of rich, full-bodied, intensely concentrated fruit wrapped in toasty French oak, decent acidity, as well as a long, moderately tannic, youthful finish. Very impressive, it needs 3-4 years to develop; it will last for 10-15 or more years. Even more impressive is the 1988, a vintage where few California wineries made profound Cabernet Sauvignon.' Bid on this bottle of 2007 Domaine du Vieux Télégraphe "La Crau" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (96RP, 95WS, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2007 Vieux Telegraphe may be the greatest wine made at this property since the 2005 and 1998. Dense ruby/purple-tinged with an exquisite nose of salty sea breezes, licorice, ground pepper, jammy black cherries, black currants, figs, and plums, this is a full-bodied, rich, Provencal-styled offering with lots of sweet, ripe tannin. It is surprisingly accessible for a Vieux Telegraphe (this wine normally shuts down several years after bottling), but it should have great longevity (25+ years) given its power, full-bodied mouthfeel, and enormous length and richness. According to Wine Advocate: "Château Ducru-Beaucaillou is for many, the quintessential Saint Julien; a name revered by connoisseurs from the Home Counties of England to Oriental collectors. Under the aegis of Francis Borie and his son Jean-Eugène, a succession of admirable wines established Ducru-Beaucaillou as one of finest exponents of Cabernet Sauvignon in the whole of Bordeaux...The vines of Château Ducru-Beaucaillou cover 50-hectares that surround the château building, stretching down the escarpment towards the bank of the Gironde estuary though stopping short of the actual river where the alluvial soils are too fertile for vine production.
