2010 Forman Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (3L) (OWC)
Bid on this 3L-bottle lot of 2010 Forman Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (3L) (OWC - 98RP, 95VN, 92WS) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Just as impressive from bottle as it was from barrel, the 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon jumps from the glass with an exotic, beguiling melange of violets, cassis, spices and menthol. Layers of fruit supported by vivid, beautifully articulated tannins cover every inch of the palate. Rich and powerful, the 2010 never abandons its classic sense of structure. Today, the 2010 is a bit compact, but time should prove to be very beneficial in releasing the wine’s true potential. There is absolutely nothing out of place in this majestic Cabernet Sauvignon. The tannins are virtually imperceptible, as is the new oak. The long growing season produced a wine that is among the finest of the vintage. This is an unforgettable wine from Ric Forman. Anticipated maturity: 2016-2035. (AG)" (12/2012)

2001 Arrowood Cabernet Sauvignon "Réserve Spéciale" Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum lot of 2001 Arrowood Cabernet Sauvignon "Réserve Spéciale" Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (95RP, (90-91ST)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of the most underrated Cabernet Sauvignons made in the world is Arrowood’s 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve Speciale. Made from an assortment of vineyards in Sonoma, Alexander Valley and Dry Creek, this 100% Cabernet Sauvignon was aged for 23 months in primarily French oak. Its youthful dense purple color is followed by notes of truffles, spring flowers, new saddle leather, creme de cassis, cedar and spice box. Fabulously full-bodied, pure and multidimensional, but still youthful, it is not as backward as the Monte Rosso, and should hit its peak in another 2-4 years and age effortlessly over the following 20-25 years. Of the 2007 Silver Oak Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon,Vinous writes: "Bright dark ruby. Very ripe aromas and flavors of dark berries, cocoa powder and bitter chocolate. Fine-grained and light on its feet, with the exotic oak character typical of Silver Oak nicely supported by its intense fruit. Harmonious acidity and a slightly herbal quality contribute to the suavity of this wine. Expands nicely on the back half, with the fine-grained tannins coating the palate. 2010 Le Dôme, St Emilion
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Le Dôme, St Emilion (100RP, 95WE, 93JS, 93ST, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A full-bodied wine, but ethereal in its elegance and finesse, the wine has a strikingly provocative bouquet of camphor, blueberry jam, violets, new saddle leather, white chocolate and spice. Extremely full-bodied, but again, not showing any weighty fatigue or any type of aggressiveness, this wine has extraordinary purity and richness as well as a blockbuster finish of close to a minute, yet is so flawless, seamless and compelling, it’s hard to believe the wine is this concentrated and rich. It will be interesting to see how it evolves, but it certainly can be drunk in 3-4 years and, I’m sure, cellared for as long as 25-35 years from now ... (RP)" (02/2013)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2013 Proprietary Red, which is 83% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Merlot and the rest Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, is another prodigious effort from Blankiet. Inky purple, with notes of lead pencil shavings, white chocolate, espresso bean, blackberry and cassis, the wine hits the palate with a crescendo of blue and black fruits, a touch of toast, licorice and foresty notes. 1990 Domaine de Montille Pommard 1er Cru "Les Pèzerolles"
Bid on this bottle of 1990 Domaine de Montille Pommard 1er Cru "Les Pèzerolles" (91RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1990 Pommard-Pezerolles possesses the most weight, structure, and massiveness of Montille's 1990 offerings. Additionally, more sweet fruit emerges both in the bouquet and on the palate. Nevertheless, the finish was so acidic and tannic that my gums ached. I have done something with Montille's 1990s that I rarely do - give them the benefit of the doubt. This domaine's style of winemaking produces such tannic, high acid, backward wines that a minimum of 10 years cellaring is required. Based on the 1978s and 1980s that I own, you may have to wait 15 or more years for Montille's 1990s to shed their cloak of tannin and acidic shrillness. That being said, all of these wines are loaded. In terms of extraction and concentration, they possess the requisite depth to balance out their high acidity and hard tannins - I think. (named after the Mitolo family’s three children) exhibits aromas of lead pencil shavings, blackberries, blueberries, cassis, licorice, new oak, and scorched earth. This complex 2003 comes across as a hypothetical blend of a great La Mission-Haut-Brion from Bordeaux and a Rhone Valley Hermitage such as Chapoutier's Pavillon. The wine is fully mature and soft, with beautiful concentration and purity. Bid on this bottle of 1978 Gaja "Costa Russi" Barbaresco (93JG). John Gilman: "It had been years since I last tasted the 1978 Gaja Sori Tildin, but based on this stunning showing of the ’78 Costa Russi, I would love to revisit all the Gaja 1978s. The bouquet on the ’78 Costa Russi is magnificent, offering up notes of intense black licorice, cherries, woodsmoke, mace, a touch of venison, sous bois, and tarry notes. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, round, and complex, with just a touch more rusticity than the more refined nose. The wine displays fine depth at the core, and excellent length on the finish. A terrific, fully mature Barbaresco that should continue to drink well for at least another dozen years. What a shame Gaja no longer makes wines in this style. " (01/2006)

1985 Figeac, St-Emilion
Bid on this bottle of 1985 Figeac, St-Emilion (91JG, 90WS). John Gilman: "The suave style of the 1985 vintage would seem perfectly suited to the style of Château Figeac, but in this particular case, the lack of rough edges on the vintage may be just a bit too much of a good thing for Figeac. The wine is now fully into its peak of drinkability and is a perfumed beauty, but with a rather laid back, low acid structure that may leave a few folks craving just a bit more backend grip on the palate. The nose is stunning and a classic Figeac blend of cherries, red plums, nutty overtones, cigar ash, menthol, cedar and a lovely base of soil. On the palate the wine is fullish, silky and sweet at the core, with fine focus, melting tannins and fine length and complexity on the finish. A touch more grip would move this wine from the realm of very, very good to outstanding, as the balance here is excellent and should allow this vintage to continue to drink well for several decades. Bottled perfection, it is an extraordinary Cabernet Sauvignon offering floral, blackcurrant, boysenberry and hints of oak, forest floor and graphite notes, a full-bodied mouthfeel, and an exuberance, freshness and delineation that are remarkable. This amazing effort is the quintessential Stags Leap Cabernet Sauvignon that is Napa Valley’s version of Château Margaux. The finish just won’t quit. Kudos to proprietor Cliff Lede. 1991 Heitz Cellars "Martha's Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1991 Heitz Cellars "Martha's Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (93WS). Wine Spectator: "Offers a distinct mint-chocolate aroma, and rich minty currant and black cherry flavors in a complex, deeply concentrated, sharply focused style. Tannins are softening, but offer enough intensity for another decade of cellaring. (JL, Web-2002)"

2010 Domaine Fourrier Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru "Combe Aux Moines" Vieilles Vignes
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2010 Domaine Fourrier Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru "Combe Aux Moines" Vieilles Vignes ((91-94BH), (90-93RP), 93ST). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "*Sweet Spot Outstanding* (From .87 ha parcel planted in 1928) A slightly riper though still extremely fresh nose features notes of plum and dark berry fruit liqueur aromas that complement the equally ripe and velvety full-bodied flavors that brim with both minerality and plenty of dry extract that coats the mouth. Despite the seductive texture the overall impression is that this understated effort is both very serious and notably austere, indeed this is a classic Combe aux Moines that is built to age. In a word, superb. Drink: 2022+" (01/2012)

2002 Colgin "Cariad" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2002 Colgin "Cariad" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (99RP, 97VN, 95WS, 94ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Probably the least evolved, although certainly accessible, stunningly complex, and just a point short of pure perfection is the 2002 Cariad. It is a blend of 58% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Merlot and the rest Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, all purchased fruit from the David Abreu-owned and managed vineyards of Madrona Ranch in St. Helena and Thorevilos, behind the Meadowood Resort. Strikingly dark plum/purple in color, with notes of white chocolate, barbecue smoke, graphite, blueberry and blackberry liqueur as well as espresso roast, this is a tremendously complex blend that hits the palate with full-bodied opulence, terrific richness and intensity, and wonderfully silky tannins ... 1989 Mouton-Rothschild, Pauillac
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1989 Mouton-Rothschild, Pauillac (98JS, 96WS). James Suckling: "Freshly picked blackberries turn into minty dark chocolate and oozing caramel with domineering eucalyptus on the nose. It becomes yet more complex on the palate thanks to layers upon layers of spices and sage plus fat and rounded tannins. There's a long finish with a bitter aftertaste, suggesting this could do with another 10 years or more of bottle aging. This is a Mouton I found massive at the time, then elegant and slightly austere years later, but today true to its former glory. Like the amazing 1947, it should not be forgotten." (06/2016)

1998 Harlan Estate Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1998 Harlan Estate Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (95RP, 93ST, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1998, which is a candidate for the 'Wine of the Vintage,' was produced from yields of 0.9 tons per acre. There are only 1,100 cases, and it is the first Harlan Estate to be composed of 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. A spectacular achievement, it boasts an opaque plum/purple color as well as a sumptuous nose of espresso, mineral, blueberry, blackberry, tobacco, licorice, Asian spice, and roasted meat smells. In the mouth, it is seamless, full-bodied, with an unctuous texture, gorgeously sweet tannin, and layer upon layer of concentration. This is a tour de force in winemaking. It is hard to believe that a wine such as this has emerged from 1998. Anticipated maturity: 2003-2030. (RP)" (12/2000)

2014 Bevan Cellars "Wildfoote Vixen Block" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2014 Bevan Cellars "Wildfoote Vixen Block" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (99RP, 94VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Another nearly perfect wine is the 125-case cuvée of 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Wildfoote Vixen Block. This is Stags Leap, owned by former Screaming Eagle Vineyard owner and realtor Jean Phillips. A stunning floral nose intermixed with blackcurrant, black cherry, licorice and gravel is followed by a long, multidimensional wine with terrific blue and black fruits, loads of glycerin, sweet tannin and a stunning finish of more than a minute. This is spectacular stuff. Drink it over the next 20 years. (RP)" (10/2016)

1994 Peter Michael "Les Pavots" Knights Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 1994 Peter Michael "Les Pavots" Knights Valley Bordeaux Blend (94RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The superb 1994 Les Pavots is, to my palate, the finest example of this wine Peter Michael has yet made. Since its bottling, this deep, saturated purple-colored wine has taken on a gorgeous nose of cassis intermixed with violets, licorice, and attractive spicy oak. Sweet, rich, and surprisingly showy for a Les Pavots, this medium to full-bodied wine possesses a luscious, multi-layered texture, outstanding depth, and attractively integrated tannin and acidity. When I tasted it, it was more evolved and delicious than I had anticipated given its recent bottling. (RP)" (12/1997)

1985 Stag's Leap Wine Cellars "Cask 23" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1985 Stag's Leap Wine Cellars "Cask 23" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (93RP, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This wine is unquestionably one of the super-stars of the 1985 vintage. Previously, I have consistently rated it from the mid to upper nineties in all my tastings... It exhibited some of the intense, exotic perfume (hickory smoke, blackcurrants, vanilla, and Asian spices) and sweet, opulent, fleshy palate it has always possessed, but the tannin was more noticeable and the wine was more structured, as well as extremely youthful and unevolved. This rich, full-bodied Cask 23 appears to have developed a greater sense of delineation. It may be even longer-lived than I initially expected ... (RP)" (04/1995)

2012 Domaine J-F Mugnier Musigny Grand Cru
Bid on this bottle of 2012 Domaine J-F Mugnier Musigny Grand Cru (98VN, 97BH). Vinous: "The 2012 Musigny opens with the most exquisite, captivating aromatics imaginable. A seemingly eternal wine with no beginning and no end, the Musigny is a wine that calls for serious introspection as it constantly changes in the glass. Wild flowers of all sorts meld into exquisite, finely-sculpted fruit all with the support of silky tannins that only add to the wine's total sense of refinement. The finish is long, seamless and haunting. There isn't too much more to say, except that the Mugnier's 2012 Musigny is one of the wines of the year. (AG)" (04/2015)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1986 Margaux, Margaux (98VN, 97RP, 95WS). Vinous: "The 1986 Chateau Margaux was even more emotionally moving. Still incredibly youthful, it showed incredible focus and depth, all backed up by considerable structure. As hard as it may seem to believe, on this night the 1986 appeared to still be some years away from peaking. It was striking in every way. 98+ (AG)" (02/2012)

1986 Pichon-Lalande, Pauillac

Wine Spectator: "Juicy, fleshy and showy, with warm plum sauce, melted black licorice, espresso, cocoa powder and black currant confiture notes all melded together, yet clearly defined. The smoldering, tobacco-fueled finish expands steadily with air. A wine of power and range that is just hitting its stride. (JM, Web-2014)"

2004 Kapcsandy "State Lane Vineyard" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2004 Kapcsandy "State Lane Vineyard" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (98RP, 96WS, 94VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2004 performed spectacularly and the good news is that 1,200-1,300 cases were produced. Showing better than it did in its infancy, this blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot has an inky purple color as well as notes of lead pencil shavings and scorched earth that resemble a great Graves, blackberry and creme de cassis fruit, licorice and subtle smoky barbecue. It also reveals a full-bodied texture, stunning concentration and beautiful richness. This is the only time the Kapcsandys made this particular blend and it certainly is performing incredibly well at age ten. It’s one of the superstars of the vintage and should continue to drink well for another 15-20 years. (RP)" (04/2014)

2008 Screaming Eagle "Second Flight" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2008 Screaming Eagle "Second Flight" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (92RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2008 Second Flight emerges from the glass with black cherries, plums, mocha, espresso and chocolate. This is an especially round, rich vintage for Second Flight. All the elements are in the right place, but overall, 2008 does not appear to be one of the estate’s very finest years. Of course, that is in relative terms. The 2008 is 53% Cabernet Sauvignon and 47% Merlot. Anticipated maturity: 2016-2028 ... (AG)" (12/2012)

2005 Pontet-Canet, Pauillac
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2005 Pontet-Canet, Pauillac (97RP, 96WS, 95ST, 94WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Possibly the youngest wine of all the 2005 Médocs in terms of its evolution, at age 10 the inky purple 2005 Pontet-Canet tastes more like a two-year-old wine. Loads of pure blueberry, blackberry and cassis fruit are present along with a hint of licorice and background oak. It is full-bodied, ripe, and excruciatingly fresh, vigorous and exuberant. This is a tour de force, and a sensational effort that rivals the first growths. Give it another 5-10 years of cellaring, and drink it over the following 30-40 years. 97+ points." (06/2015)
