Shows the crisp acidity and minerality of this cool-climate vineyard, with rich flavors of raspberries, cherry liqueur, cola, exotic spices, vanilla, buttered cinnamon toast and smoky sandalwood. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1998 Dominique Laurent (Hospices de Beaune) Corton "Cuvée Docteur Peste". Praise from Jancis Robinson: "Dominique Laurent [is] an ex pâtissier with the gift of the gab who is much lauded in France. Rather ambiguously labeling all his wines 'Dom. Laurent,' he buys wine and fashions it into something exceptional in his Nuits-St-Georges cellars. He has researched and revived many a technique from the last century and tailors his methods (which tend to minimum intervention and maximum new oak) to suit each combination of vintage and vineyard." 2004 Ridge "Nervo" Sonoma County Zinfandel
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2004 Ridge "Nervo" Sonoma County Zinfandel (90RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A fairly priced as well as outstanding effort is the 2005 Zinfandel Nervo, [sic]* a blend of 92% Zinfandel and the rest Petite Sirah and Carignan. A dark ruby/purple color and deep, concentrated, blackberry and black cherry fruit with hints of toasty oak, dried herbs, new saddle leather, and earth emerge from this broad, savory, rich Zinfandel. With tangy acidity as well as light to moderate tannin, this is one of the broadest wines of this group. As it sat in the glass, intriguing notes of incense and white chocolate also became apparent. Drink it over the next 5-6 years. This venerable producer, with as fine a track record as any winery in the world, continues to turn out high quality Zinfandels." (06/2006)

2008 Hundred Acre "Few and Far Between" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2008 Hundred Acre "Few and Far Between" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (94ST, 92RP). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Full red. Aromas of strawberry, cherry, mocha, crushed rock and lead pencil, lifted by nuances of violet and licorice. Tighter and higher-pitched than the Ark and not currently showing as much silkiness of texture, with distinctly darker fruit flavors and musky minerality. Best today on the rising finish, which features lush, broad tannins and an utterly seamless texture. The least sweet and expressive of these 2008s today, but with outstanding cellaring potential." 2010 Linne Calodo "Problem Child" Paso Robles Red Blend (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum of 2010 Linne Calodo "Problem Child" Paso Robles Red Blend (1.5L) (95RP, 93ST, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "I very much like the way the 2010 Problem Child achieves tons of richness, but no sense of heaviness at all. Juicy dark cherries, hard candy, flowers, mint and sweet spices are all woven together in a fabric of notable class. Floral notes reappear on a sweet, perfumed finish buffered by lively acidity. Once again, there is plenty of depth, but little in the way of excess weight. This is a striking effort from Matt Trevisan. Problem Child is 77% Zinfandel (from Heaton and Cushman), 16% Syrah (from Caliza and Denner) and 7% Mourvedre (estate). Anticipated maturity: 2013-2020. This set of wines from proprietor Matt Trevisan was among the most impressive I tasted in Paso Robles. " (08/2012)

Bid on this bottle of 1986 Talbot, St-Julien (96RP, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A fabulous wine, and one of the two greatest Talbots of the last 50 years, this wine still has a very murky garnet/plum/purple color and a spectacular nose of sweet creme de cassis intermixed with freshly ground pepper, melted road tar, herbes de Provence, and beef blood. It is followed by an enormously concentrated wine of full body, layers of concentration and sweet tannin. Full-bodied, with surprisingly supple, concentrated, chocolatey, cassis, and blackcurrant flavors that ooze across the palate, this voluptuously-textured example of Opus One is atypical in a vintage that produced so many backward wines. This cold, north-facing terroir can support a hot year like 2005, notes consulting winemaker Stephane Derenoncourt. Still, I would not describe this as an elegant style. 2009 La Vieille Cure, Fronsac
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2009 La Vieille Cure, Fronsac (93RP, (91-93WE), 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This property has made so many fine efforts lately that it is difficult to say the 2009 is better than their 2005. However, the 2009 is a charming, sexy, dense ruby/purple-colored offering displaying lots of ripe Merlot fruit intermixed with hints of charcoal, black raspberries, black currants, lead pencil shavings and truffles. This full-bodied, pure, nicely textured and layered Fronsac is a sleeper of the vintage that considerably over-performs for its modest price. Drink it over the next 15+ years. This is an obvious great value!" (02/2012)

2009 Laforge, St-Emilion
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2009 Laforge, St-Emilion (96RP, 92ST, 90WS, 89WE, 16DC). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "From proprietor Jonathan Maltus, this blend of three terroirs, two on sand and one on gravel, is a blend of 92% Merlot and the rest Cabernet Franc. About 2,000 cases are produced, and the prodigious 2009 is the finest vintage to date. Inky blue/purple, with notes of licorice, camphor, black truffle, blackberry and blueberry, this full-bodied wine has massive concentration yet at the same time displays elegance and harmony. The equilibrium and 60+-second length make for a huge, massive, but incredibly well-balanced wine, like a shadow of the proprietor himself. Drink it over the next 15 or more years. " (02/2012)

This gorgeous wine from proprietor Andre Lurton will benefit from 3-5 years of cellaring and evolve for 25-30 years. (95+) " (02/2013)

Full-bodied in texture, it offers up loads of blueberry, blackberry and raspberry fruit intermixed with some cedar, vanilla and a touch of spring flowers. Impressively built, with good acidity and light tannin, this is a superb example of wine that reaches its prime in 3 or 4 years and lasts two decades. It's right up there with their brilliant 2005. Of the 2012 Rivers-Marie "Corona Vineyard" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The opaque purple-hued 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Crona Vineyard, from gravelly, stony soils in the western Oakville hills, is the most intense, massive, structured and tannic wine of this group of 2012s. Aged in 75% new oak (250 cases produced), it offers up notes of licorice, graphite, vanillin, baking spices, blueberries and blackberries along with stupendous extract, richness and structure. 2005 Seavey Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2005 Seavey Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95RP, 93ST, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The densely black/purple-colored 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon has the telltale burning ember, blackberry, and cassis notes, with hints of underbrush, espresso roast, chocolate, and subtle oak. A large, full-bodied wine of admirable intensity, terrific length, and no hard edges, this is a beauty that has put on weight since I tasted it in barrel and immediately after bottling last year. It should evolve effortlessly for 35+ years. As I said last year, there is a strong argument to be made that this is the most underrated great Cabernet Sauvignon produced in Napa Valley. 2001 d'Arenberg "The Dead Arm" Shiraz McLaren Vale South Australia
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2001 d'Arenberg "The Dead Arm" Shiraz McLaren Vale South Australia (98RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Readers should be on the look out for the 2001 The Dead Arm Shiraz, one of the greatest examples of this cuvee. Its dense, black/purple color is accompanied by celestial aromas of melted licorice, graphite, blackberries, cassis, incense, anise, and toasty oak. Fabulously concentrated, with great purity, an unctuous, viscous texture, and an amazingly long, 60-second plus finish, this fabulous baby will need 5-6 years of cellaring, and should drink well over the following 20-25 years." 2006 Alban "Lorraine" Edna Valley Syrah
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2006 Alban "Lorraine" Edna Valley Syrah (100RP, 97WS, 95ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Named after his raven-haired Irish wife, the 2006 Syrah Lorraine, which comes from more sandy soils, is another prodigious effort. Like all of these wines, it is a remarkable wine of extraordinary intensity, with a stunning nose of blueberries, bacon fat, camphor, and even darker blackberries, along with unreal minerality and definition for a wine of this size and power. Full-bodied, with profound intensity of flavor as well as purity, this is another wine that spent nearly three and a half years in barrel prior to being bottled unfined and unfiltered. 2005 Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2005 Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP, 96WE, 94ST, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "From a hot vintage and incredible any way you look at it, the 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon has that laser-like focus of a cooler year, yet the voluptuousness and richness of a warmer year. Smoked black fruits, coffee, truffle and pen ink-like aromas and flavors all emerge from this massive, incredibly full-bodied effort and on the palate, it carries itself perfectly with a weightless, yet decadent texture, masses of polished tannin and blockbuster length. More classic and textbook than the 2007, it is every bit as good. Enjoy it over the coming two decades or more. Drink now-2033. (JD)" (06/2013)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2010 Cayuse "Camaspelo" Walla Walla Valley Bordeaux Blend (96RP, 94WE, 93WS, 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "More edgy and fresh than the Widowmaker, with more up-front acidity, the 2010 Camaspelo offers a classic Bordeaux-styled bouquet of deep back currant and black cherry fruit intermixed with tobacco leaf, lead pencil shavings and hints of fresh herbs. Perfumed, complex and elegant, with a full-bodied, detailed and energetic profile on the palate, it is a beautifully balanced 2010 that will benefit from short-term cellaring and have 15-20 years of ultimate longevity.
