2012 Caymus "40th Anniversary" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Caymus "40th Anniversary" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "I am old enough to remember Chuck Wagner and his father, who I first met at Caymus in the late seventies. This is clearly one of Napa Valley’s iconic wineries, as well as one that, amazingly, never went through a bad patch. Obviously, no matter which generation is in the driver’s seat (or should I say tractor’s seat), Caymus Vineyard knows how to deliver flavor and deliciousness. They appear to be immune to some of winedom’s less than intelligent trends and fads that we see from time to time, and the result is a spectacular 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon 40th Anniversary offering. Its dense purple/black color is followed by copious quantities of crème de cassis and blackberry fruit, silky tannins, a voluptuous texture and stunning purity as well as length. This full-bodied effort is a fabulous example of Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon as well as a tribute to t

2011 Kosta Browne "One Sixteen" Russian River Valley Chardonnay
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2011 Kosta Browne "One Sixteen" Russian River Valley Chardonnay (91CG, 91ST). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Green-tinged gold. A complex bouquet evokes lime, lemongrass and white flowers, with a smoky, leesy overtone. Spicy, firm and precise, offering lively citrus zest flavors and a deeper touch of honeydew. Packs a punch but comes off lithe and nervy, with an exotic coconut quality and a lingering floral note on the very long finish. (ST)" (06/2013)

2009 Hundred Acre "Ark Vineyard" Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2009 Hundred Acre "Ark Vineyard" Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP, 96ST, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Ark Vineyard emerges from a parcel of old, volcanic soils that inform the wine to a significant degree. A vivid kaleidoscope of iron, ash, tar, smoke, crushed rocks and dark red berries take shape as this fabulous, pedigreed wine shows off its considerable personality. A cool, inward wine, the Ark is all about minerality and pure tension as a backdrop for the characteristic Hundred Acre fruit. A huge, mineral-soaked finish rounds things out in style. The 2009 is the rare Hundred Acre wine that is not likely to offer immediate pleasure. It will more than make up for that in the future. I can’t wait to see how this explosive, beguiling Cabernet develops over the next few years. Anticipated maturity: 2017-2029. (AG)" (12/2012)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2011 Domaine de Montille Volnay 1er Cru "Les Mitans" ((89-92BH), (90-92ST)). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "(100% vendange entier; 20% new oak; small, concentrated berries from old vines): Good medium red. Lovely subtle perfume of cherry and raspberry liqueur lifted by a peppery element. Sweet, dense and lively but restrained on the palate, with distinctly dark flavors of blueberry, licorice and bitter chocolate. The brooding finish features broad, palate-coating tannins. I like the peppery stem element here as it contributes energy without overpowering the wine's fruit. (ST)" (01/2013)

Wine Spectator: " *Collectible* Intense aromas of violets, berries and spices follow through to a full-bodied palate, with layers of supersilky tannins and a long, long finish. Very classic in style. 2001 Ridge Vineyards "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2001 Ridge Vineyards "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon (99RP, 98VN, 97WE, 95WS, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A resoundingly great effort from this iconic producer, Ridge's 2001 is a spectacular, still young but promising wine... A dense ruby/purple color is accompanied by extravagant, generous aromas of pen ink, lead pencil shavings, spice box and black fruits. The wine is full-bodied and silky textured, but secondary nuances have not yet begun to develop as it is still very primary, tasting more like a 3-4 year old Monte Bello than one that is ten years of age. Nevertheless, it reveals spectacular concentration, a voluptuous texture, a rare opulence for a Ridge Monte Bello, and an incredible finish. The upside is enormous and this cuvee may prove somewhat atypical due to the huge percentage of Merlot in the final blend and the higher than normal alcohol. (RP)" (06/2011)

2013 Peter Michael "Ma Danseuse" Fort Ross-Seaview Pinot Noir
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2013 Peter Michael "Ma Danseuse" Fort Ross-Seaview Pinot Noir ((95-97RP), 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2013 Pinot Noir Ma Danseuse (1,630 cases) is spectacular. Abundant notes of beet root, violets, and black raspberries are followed by a wine with beautiful purity, a medium to full-bodied mouthfeel, and a long, textured, heady finish. This stunning Pinot Noir can be enjoyed over the next 12-15 years. If one considers the total production of all the Peter Michael cuvées (which must be approaching 30,000 cases) and the diversity of their wines, including six cuvées of Chardonnay, four of Pinot Noir, three Bordeaux blends, and lastly Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon, Peter Michael Winery may be the best-run winery of its size for world-class quality. 1993 Comte Armand Pommard 1er Cru "Clos des Epeneaux"
Bid on this bottle of 1993 Comte Armand Pommard 1er Cru "Clos des Epeneaux" (95BH, 90WS). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "(From magnum) With the exception of being perhaps slightly fresher, the '93 Clos des Epeneaux from magnum showed the same fantastic nose as the 750 ml version but what was different, in fact markedly so, was the harmony of the mid-palate and finish that displayed almost none of the prominent structural backbone. There was a beguiling sweetness to the flavors and finish with a velvety texture and superb length. A stunning showing and a wine that should continue to age well for years to come." (05/2015)

Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "(58% Roussanne, 23% Viognier and 19% Chardonnay; 15.1% alcohol): Bright gold. Deeply pitched aromas of pit fruit nectar, orange marmalade and coconut, with a smoky topnote. Lush and expansive, offering palate-staining peach, melon and honey flavors and a late jolt of spiciness that adds lift. 1999 Pride Mountain "Reserve" Napa Valley Claret
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1999 Pride Mountain "Reserve" Napa Valley Claret (96RP, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: " The micro-cuvee (about 200 cases) of 1999 Reserve Claret (two-thirds Merlot and one-third Cabernet Sauvignon) is awesome! This candidate for "wine of the vintage" spent 24 months in both old and new French oak. It boasts an opaque purple color in addition to a sumptuous, sweet bouquet of espresso, blackberries, cassis, maple syrup, and vanilla. It is long, layered, multidimensional, sweet, and thick on the palate, possessing an unctuosity and concentration that must be tasted to be believed. Nevertheless, it is well-balanced and incredibly pure as well as long. Anticipated maturity: 2005-2020. (RP)" (08/2002)

Bid on this bottle of 2007 Kistler "Cuvée Elizabeth Bodega Headlands Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir ((96-98RP), 94ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Sweet black raspberries, camphor, and forest floor notes intermixed with a cocktail of spring flowers all jump from the glass of this full-bodied, gorgeously proportioned, rich wine that is about as compelling as California Pinot Noir is capable of being. It has a Burgundy-like structure, but its great purity of fruit and dazzling texture and length are awesome. This wine should drink well young but hit its stride in 5-6 years and last for 15-20 years." Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Previously recommended, no tastng note given." (02/2010)

2012 Thierry Allemand "Reynard" Cornas
Bid on this bottle of 2012 Thierry Allemand "Reynard" Cornas (98RP, 96VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Coming from the oldest vines of the estate and one of the best vineyards in the world for Syrah, the 2012 Cornas Reynard is a massive, thick and unctuous effort that's bursting at the seams with notions of crème de cassis, crushed violets, smoked game and incredible minerality. Just a sensational Cornas that surpasses what was achieved in 2009 and 2010, this full-bodied, concentrated and structured effort has the fruit to be enjoyable now (this is a common trait of the vintage), yet has the depth, richness and balance to evolve for over two decades. It doesn't come cheap, but it's up there with some of the finest Syrahs made. (JD)" (12/2015)

Of the 2011 Rochioli "Sweetwater Vineyard" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir,Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar writes: "Deep ruby. Pungent, smoke-accented aromas of cherry and dark berries, with cola and licorice accents. Weighty and chewy in texture, offering powerful cherry-cola and black raspberry flavors and an energizing note of white pepper. 2013 Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2013 Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon ((96-98RP)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of the most impressive barrels samples I was able to taste during my trip through the region, the Galitzin's 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon (100% Cabernet Sauvignon) has a classic, structured feel, as well as sensational purity of fruit. Giving up lots of cassis, currants, spicy oak and bouquet garni, with subtle violet qualities with air, it hits the palate with serious richness, a full, layered mid-palate and masses of sweet tannin. Like most of Paul's wines, I think they have the fruit and texture to offer plenty of pleasure in their youth, yet they don't hit their stride until at least 5-7 years after the vintage. Of the 2006 Schrader "Beckstoffer To Kalon CCS" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To-Kalon CCS is utter perfection in Cabernet Sauvignon. Extraordinary power, fruit depth, and perfume (not dissimilar from its siblings’) as well as a seamlessness, monumental richness, and a staggering finish are the stuff of legends. Again, the dominant characteristics are creme de cassis, graphite, espresso, blackberries, chocolate, and subtle background new oak. (RP)" (12/2008)

2013 Aubert "Eastside Vineyard" Russian River Valley Chardonnay
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2013 Aubert "Eastside Vineyard" Russian River Valley Chardonnay (100RP, 95VN, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2013 Chardonnay Eastside is from a vineyard owned by Ulises Valdez, and planted with the Montrachet clone on the very low-yielding rootstock called riparia gloire. This wine displays terrific intensity, plenty of stony minerality, and great precision in its notes of subtle white peach, pineapple, almond paste, brioche and crème brûlée. This is a killer wine and a perfect example of 2013 Chardonnay at its best. I never thought this wine could hit this peak, but the proof is in the tasting, and the wine, which was somewhat shy and reserved after bottling, has truly come to life over the last three to four months. This five-acre vineyard sits on a west-facing hill on Eastside Road in the Russian River. Drink it over the next 10-12 years. (RP)" (12/2015)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2007 Thorevilos is monumental, and stands out as one of the most singular and greatest Napa red wines I have ever tasted. An expansive fragrance of subtle barbecue smoke intermixed with graphite, blueberries, espresso, white chocolate and a liqueur of rocks soars from the glass of this full-bodied, prodigious effort. It has the texture of a skyscraper yet never becomes heavy or overbearing. This offering, which can send chills up your spine, is a candidate for one of the finest wines ever made in Napa Valley. It will last for 2-3 decades. (RP)" (12/2010)

1998 Lafite-Rothschild, Pauillac
Bid on this bottle of 1998 Lafite-Rothschild, Pauillac (98RP, 95WS, 94ST, 94W&S). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A blend of 81% Cabernet Sauvignon and 19% Merlot, this wine represents only 34% of Lafite's total harvest. In a less than perfect Medoc vintage, it has been spectacular since birth, putting on more weight and flesh over the last year. This opaque purple-colored 1998 is close to perfection. The spectacular nose of lead pencil, smoky, mineral, and black currant fruit soars majestically from the glass. The wine is elegant yet profoundly rich, revealing the essence of Lafite's character. The tannin is sweet, and the wine is spectacularly layered yet never heavy. The finish is sweet, super-rich, yet impeccably balanced and long (50+ seconds). Anticipated maturity: 2007-2035. 1982 Mouton-Rothschild, Pauillac
Bid on this bottle of 1982 Mouton-Rothschild, Pauillac (100JS, 100RP, 98ST, 98WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This wine remains one of the legends of Bordeaux. It has thrown off the backward, youthful style that existed during its first 25 years of life, and over the last 4-5 years has developed such secondary nuances as cedar and spice box. The creme de cassis, underlying floral note, full-bodied power, extraordinary purity, multilayered texture, and finish of over a minute are a showcase for what this Chateau accomplished in 1982. The wine is still amazingly youthful, vibrant, and pure. It appears capable of remaining fruity and vibrant in 2082! Thank God it is beginning to budge, as I would like to drink most of my supply before I kick the bucket. This is a great, still youthful wine, and, on occasion, one does understand the hierarchy of Bordeaux chateaux when you see the complexity and brilliance of this first-growth. (RP)" (06/2009)

2002 Louis Jadot Bonnes Mares Grand Cru
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2002 Louis Jadot Bonnes Mares Grand Cru ((97-99RP), 95ST, (92-94BH)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Armed with huge quantities of fruit and perfectly ripened tannin, the medium to full-bodied 2002 Bonnes Mares explodes from the glass with stunning aromas of candied blueberries, rocks, and red cherries. This massive, broad, enormously rich wine could ultimately, like the Chapelle and Clos de Beze, earn a perfect score. Its velvety waves of sensual red and black fruits are interspersed with nuanced notes of spices, mocha, flowers, and minerals. While enormously powerful and ripe, it magically retains its freshness and sports an ethereal quality that is difficult to put into words. It is a tour de force in winemaking! Anticipated maturity: 2009-2020+. (PR)" (06/2004)

2012 Saxum "James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2012 Saxum "James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (97RP, 94VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "There are 1,580 cases of the 2012 James Berry Vineyard and it reminds me of the 2009 Janasse Chaupin (which is one of Justin’s favorite wines). Incorporating more Mourvedre than normal, it’s made from 43% Grenache, 29% Mourvedre, 18% Syrah and 10% Counoise that’s aged in a combination of concrete and barrel. Rock star stuff, with fabulous black raspberry, cassis, spring flowers and charred meat aromas and flavors, this beauty hits the palate with full-bodied richness and depth, yet stays lively, incredibly pure and elegant, with lots of fine tannin emerging on the finish. It will benefit from 2-3 years in the cellar and have 15-20 years of ultimate longevity. (JD)" (08/2014)

1986 Léoville-Las-Cases, St-Julien
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1986 Léoville-Las-Cases, St-Julien (100RP, 97ST, 95WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The late Michel Delon always thought that this was the greatest vintage he had produced. We often tasted it side by side with the 1982, because I always preferred the latter vintage. Of course, the two vintages are quite different in style, with the 1986 a monument to classicism, with great tannin, extraordinary delineation, and a huge, full-bodied nose of sweet, ripe cassis fruit intermixed with vanilla, melon, fruitcake, and a multitude of spices. The wine has always been phenomenally concentrated, yet wonderfully fresh and vigorous. The wine still seems young, yet it is hard to believe it is not close to full maturity. It is a great example of Leoville Las Cases, and another compelling reason to take a serious look at the top Cabernet Sauvignon-based Medocs of 1986. Anticipated maturity: 2005-2035. Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2009 Domaine Henri Boillot Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru "Clos de la Mouchère" (95BH, 95ST, 94RP). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Sexy aromas of peach, orange oil and smoky silex. Concentrated, layered and utterly seamless, with peach and soft citrus fruit flavors lifted by powerful flinty minerality. A premier cru with grand cru perfume and inner-palate energy. This sharply delineated wine stains the palate and builds inexorably on the sappy aftertaste. Superb." (10/2011)

Wine Spectator: "Ripe and balanced, offering wet earth, mineral, smoke and red berry complexity, this is superbly intense on the finish, with a round, velvety mouthfeel. Grows on you as it kicks into high gear, rockets to a beautiful finish. This grand cru from Jean-Nicolas Méo tastes sweeter and more hedonistic than his minerally Clos de Vougeot, but both get the same classic rating. (PM)" (09/1998)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2004 Shafer "Hillside Select" Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon (100WE, 99RP, 96WS, 95VN, 95W&S, 93CG). Wine Enthusiast: "A perfect score has to be considered in the context of its region. Shafer’s 2004 Hillside Select is tremendous as a Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon that competes with its peers at the highest levels. It’s always a fabulous wine, but in warm 2004, Shafer’s amphitheater vineyard sheltered the grapes, ripening them to perfection yet protecting the “iron fist in a velvet glove” structure that André Tchelistcheff defined as Stags Leap. This 100% Cabernet is tremendous in cassis, black currant and mocha flavors, and the 100% new French oak provides perfect additions of smoke and caramel. It’s soft and gorgeous enough to drink now, and should age well in a cool cellar for the next 20 years." (03/2009)

Bid on this 6 liter 1-bottle lot of 1998 Monbousquet, St-Émilion (6L) (94RP, (90-91ST), 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Yields of 28-30 hectoliters per hectare are among the lowest in St.-Emilion, which no doubt accounts for the wine's explosive richness. The final blend, 60% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 10% Cabernet Franc, was bottled unfined and unfiltered after 18 months in 100% new oak, with aging on the lees. It boasts a saturated plum/purple color in addition to an exotic bouquet of Asian spices, plum liqueur, prunes, and blackberries. The color remains a healthy, even opaque bluish/purple, but there is no reason to hesitate to drink it. It should evolve for another 30-40 years, so there is no hurry either. (RP)" (06/2010)

A touch of roasted espresso bean is also present. The wine has great concentration, a magnificent, full-bodied mouthfeel, stunning purity, and well-integrated acidity, tannin, alcohol and wood. This full-bodied classic displays notes of forest floor, earth, crème de cassis, blackberry liqueur, licorice and some pen ink.
