Bid on this magnum of 2006 Ridge "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (94RP, 93JS, 93ST, 92W&S). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "...the 2006 Monte Bello is a very strong effort. Its dense purple color is followed by copious aromas of creme de cassis, licorice, spice box, and a touch of oak. Well-balanced, dense, pure, layered, and rich, its big, rich style is similar to the 2003. This cuvee should keep for 25-30 years in a cool cellar." (02/2010)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "An unfined/unfiltered blend of 45% Syrah, 38% Grenache, and 17% Mourvedre, aged 32 months in a combination of wood vessels, the prodigious 2006 James Berry Vineyard Proprietary Red exhibits beautiful sweet creme de cassis, black raspberry, blackberry, truffle, smoke, and herb notes. Of the 2006 Sine Qua Non "Mr. K Straw Man" Marsanne Vine de Paille (375ml),Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The 2006 Mr. K The Strawman Marsanne Vin de Paille is 100% Marsanne from the Beckmen Vineyard that boasts 240 grams of residual sugar per liter. A medium gold-colored effort, it reveals more marmalade notes interwoven with notions of maple syrup, honeysuckle, and exotic tropical fruits. While untuously-textured with remarkable sweetness, it is not cloying because of the fresh acids. I have no idea how long these wines will last, but they will undoubtedly keep for many years. 2000 Louis Latour Nuits-St-Georges
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2000 Louis Latour Nuits-St-Georges. Have you been looking for older Burgundy and seen how little is available? In particular the 2000 vintage, which is drinking deliciously well, has become particularly hard to find. As the producer says of this wine: "An intense, deeply coloured wine, showing pronounced, complex fruit of cherries, blackcurrents and violets, with truffles and spices. Subtle and integrated oak flavours on the palate with peppery notes, this wine is medium bodied, concentrated and admirably long on the finish."

The opaque ruby/purple color is followed by a stunningly fragrant nose of black fruits, melted road tar, toasty new oak, and truffle/licorice scents. Extremely full-bodied, with layers of flavor, this immense but well-balanced wine is a wine-making tour de force." (10/1995)

2005 Aubert "Reuling Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay
Bid on this bottle of 2005 Aubert "Reuling Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (99RP, 95ST, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "There are 350 cases of the 2005 Chardonnay Reuling Vineyard, which comes from the Goldridge soils of this Sonoma Coast site. This Chardonnay comes from a clone suitcased over from the Montrachet vineyard in Burgundy. There is no doubting the liquid minerality, striking honeyed citrus, white currant, hazelnut, and brioche notes are more French than California, but the power and richness are pure New World. An absolutely remarkable Chardonnay that is certainly one of the top half dozen or so Chardonnays I have ever tasted from California, this is a stunningly proportioned, profound wine that should drink beautifully for 5-7 years, if you can resist it that long. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2002 Williams-Selyem "Flax" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir (92CG, 92ST, 90RP, 90WE). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Bright medium ruby. Complex aromas of blackberry, cassis, coffee, caramel and game. Begins very intense but rather lean, then builds and blossoms in the mouth, coating the palate with flavors of blackberry, cherry and rose. Ultimately lush but firmly tannic on the finish, in need of at least a couple years of additional cellaring. Like the Ferrington, this was aged in a relatively high 70% new oak." (06/2004)

2008 Domenico Clerico "Ciabot Mentin" Barolo
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2008 Domenico Clerico "Ciabot Mentin" Barolo (96ST, 93JS, 92RP, 92WS). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "(Clerico is no longer using Ginestra on the label as of 2007: a change in the law recognized numerous crus, including Ginestra, but since many other growers use Ginestra on their labels, Clerico decided to name this wine after his own parcel): Medium red. Deeper and richer on the nose than the Pajana, with scents of redcurrant, mocha, dried flowers and earth. Wonderfully deep, layered and sweet; lush but with good limestone lift. This floods the palate with flavor and lingers with exceptional purity and persistence. " (10/2011)

Of the 2007 Rochioli "River Block" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir,Wine Enthusiast writes: "Always one of Williams Selyem’s top Pinot Noirs, the 2007 is a spectacular wine. The vines are the closest to the river in the famed Rochioli vineyard, and the resulting wine always has an elegant structure and fruity accessibility that make it drinkable at a younger age. Showing rich flavors of cherries, red currants, cola, bacon, anise, Asian spices and smoky oak, it will develop beautifully over the next decade." (02/2010)

2004 Philip Togni Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2004 Philip Togni Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95RP, 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon, a blend of 82% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot and the rest Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, comes from steep mountain vineyards at the top of the Napa side of Spring Mountain. Aromas of black olives, tapenade, creme de cassis, licorice and truffles emerge from this opaque ruby/purple-colored, youthful 2004. Togni’s spiritual reference point is Bordeaux more than Napa Valley, and his wines seem to represent a hypothetical melange of those two distinctive schools of wine. Still backward, but rich, full-bodied and promising, this brilliant 2004 is 5-7 years away from its adolescence; it should age for 30-40 years. (RP)" (04/2014)

2001 Heitz Cellar "Martha's Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2001 Heitz Cellar "Martha's Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95RP, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This was a spectacular performance from this hallowed vineyard as well as one of Napa Valley’s great historic terroirs. Made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, it reveals a still youthful personality and will benefit from another 5-7 years of bottle age. An opaque purple color is followed by aromas of graphite, creme de cassis, flowers and background earth as well as spice. The old eucalyptus-filled aromatics of a young Martha’s Vineyard are nowhere to be found as the 2001 is dominated by fruit and earth. Full-bodied and powerful with superb integration of wood, tannin, acidity and alcohol, this large-scaled red is capable of three or more decades of cellaring. It is unquestionably a youthful classic, but it requires patience from its owners. Anticipated maturity: 2016-2035." (06/2011)

2005 Pax "Obsidian" Knight's Valley Syrah
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2005 Pax "Obsidian" Knight's Valley Syrah (96RP, 94ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2005 Syrah Obsidian Vineyard is from Knight’s Valley. This is steep hillside vineyard stuff with a dense, dark purple color, a phenomenally rich nose of brioche, acacia flowers, blackberry, and blueberry jam intermixed with some white chocolate and perhaps hints of fig and truffle. The wine is spicy, full-bodied, incredibly opulent, and thick, even unctuously textured, with great purity and richness. Moreover, the glycerin and viscosity cover up some huge tannins. This is an amazingly big, thick wine, but it still cascades over the palate like a waterfall. This wine should come into its own in several years and drink well for 10-15. (RP)" (12/2007)

Wine Enthusiast: "Profoundly beautiful aroma on this Cab, a perfect union of oaky char and vanilla with ripe blackberries and cassis. Hard to exaggerate the beauty. Powerful, yet never pushy, with classic Napa balance. Rich, sweet, almost meaty, with massive tannins that are refined and smooth. Very great density and weight. Really defines the vineyard, and should age effortlessly for 20 years" (06/2011)

This vintage is dark and dense, yielding an earthy character against the red cherry flavors in the finish. It's refined and lasting, ready to decant for roast lamb chops and butternut squash." 2010 Caymus "Special Selection" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Caymus "Special Selection" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98RP, 96WS, 93AG, 92W&S). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Special Selection exhibits an opaque purple color, slightly more toasty oak in the aromatics, and explosive richness on the attack, mid-palate and length. The nose is slightly more restrained than in the regular bottling, but there is no doubting the Special Selection is a cut or two above the Napa bottling when it hits the palate. Extraordinary purity of fruit, creme de cassis, licorice and incense all emerge from this full-bodied, iconic classic. It can be enjoyed now and over the next 25+ years. (RP)" (10/2013)

Intense, floral-accented scents of orange zest, pit fruit and candied ginger. Powerful and broad but surprisingly energetic, offering sappy, palate-staining citrus marmalade and peach flavors lifted by tangy acidity. A suave honey note comes up with air and carries through the long, spicy finish." (11/2011)

Laurent,' he buys wine and fashions it into something exceptional in his Nuits-St-Georges cellars. He has researched and revived many a technique from the last century and tailors his methods (which tend to minimum intervention and maximum new oak) to suit each combination of vintage and vineyard." It has an unusually deep, dark color for a Pinot Noir and it stays a rich red on the rim. It’s medium to full-bodied but not at all heavy. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2009 Gruaud Larose, St-Julien (95JS, 95RP, 94ST, 93WE, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "As I wrote in my barrel tasting note, the 2009 appears to be the finest Gruaud Larose since their 1990. Some of my concerns about too much brett in previous vintages are long gone as the purity of the 2009 jumps out. Copious notes of sagebrush, cedar, cigar box, licorice, incense, blackberries and lead pencil shavings suggest a big Pauillac rather than a St.-Julien. Broad, rich and full-bodied with good balance and abundant, but sweet, well-integrated tannin, this big, masculine Gruaud Larose reveals remarkable finesse, richness, extract, density and a cascade of fruit that nearly hides the lofty tannins. This beauty should be at its best between 2020-2045." (02/2012)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A superb success for the vintage, the 2006 exhibits a deep ruby/purple hue as well as a poised, classic bouquet of sweet black cherries, graphite, camphor, truffles, and a subtle hint of oak. Medium-bodied with a stunningly layered texture, impressive purity, and beautiful balance, this cuvee is haute couture in a glass. Bid on this bottle of 1946 Bodegas Toro Albala "Don Px Convento Seleccion" Pedro Ximenez Jerez (OWC - 100RP) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1946 Don PX Convento Seleccion produced with Pedro Ximenez grapes dehydrated under the sun at the time of the Second World War, was only bottled in September 2011. This is an extreme wine, my first descriptor was ultra-mega-super concentrated. It is unbelievably powerful, both in the nose and the palate, full of umami, with sweet cinnamon, Christmas cake, camphor, petrol, lemongrass, Belgian chocolate and butter. Incredibly complex and rich, sweet, balanced and smooth in the palate, it is both very sweet and somehow salty, and with time it develops a black olive note. It combines the texture of the 1962 and the elegance of the 1949. It is as decadent as it gets. 825 bottles were produced. This wine will survive all of us. These wines are kept for generations and offered in very small quantities, but it’s amazing that you can

2010 Abreu "Rothwell Hyde" St. Helena Proprietary Red
Bid on this bottle of 2010 Abreu "Rothwell Hyde" St. Helena Proprietary Red (94AG). Antonio Galloni: "Perhaps the greatest compliment I can pay the 2010 Rothwell Hyde, Abreu's rarely seen second wine, is that Brad Grimes served it last in our tasting and it more than held it's own. Sure, there is plenty of vintage 2010 pedigree, along with the typical Abreu textural richness, but it is the wine's overall balance that leaves the most lasting impression. Rothwell Hyde is made from a selection of the wines that don't go into the four main labels and is sold mostly through the mailing list and in a few select restaurants. If you see the 2010, grab it. 1990 Parusso "Bussia" Barolo (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum of 1990 Parusso "Bussia" Barolo (1.5L) (95RP, 94AG). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1990 Barolo Bussia appears amazingly youthful both in terms of its color and the freshness of its aromas. It was fermented in temperature-controlled cements vats and this winemaking choice has undoubtedly helped secure variety integrity. Although you do detect budding tertiary aromas, this is among the best-preserved wines I tasted from 1990. Dark cherry and blackberry are followed by candied apricot, licorice, red rose petal and dried tobacco left. I was especially impressed by the overall austerity and the silkiness of the mouthfeel. This bottle should be decanted 12 hours or more before consumption. Drink: 2014-2028. (ML)" (07/2014)

2006 Colgin "Cariad" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this bottle of 2006 Colgin "Cariad" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (98RP, 96JS, 94WS, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Meriting the same rating I gave it at its release, the 2006 Cariad is composed of 57% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, 11% Cabernet Franc and 7% Petit Verdot. One of the stars of the vintage, this thrilling, opaque purple-colored wine offers up sweet espresso, jus de viande, blackberry, blueberry, flower and chocolate aromas. A fabulous texture, tremendous purity, sensational brightness and authoritative flavor intensity allied to striking complexity and elegance are the signature of this creative blend from the David Abreu vineyards of Thorevilos and Madrona Ranch. Six hundred cases were produced. Give this wine another 3-4 years of cellaring and enjoy it over the following 15+. (RP)" (06/2011)

1991 Cain Five Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1991 Cain Five Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend ((90-92RP)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Cain Cellars has been making increasingly fine wines since 1987 and the 1990 and 1991 offerings would be worthy additions to any Cabernet enthusiast's cellar. The 1991 gets my nod as being slightly better than the 1990. Fleshier and more deeply extracted, as well as possessing a superb sense of balance, it offers an attractive herbal, cassis, and chocolatey nose, sweet, curranty, expansive flavors, decent acidity, and a long, fleshy, spicy finish. Bid on this bottle of 2007 Buccella Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP, 93JS, 93ST, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The blockbuster 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon is more primary, but it does display enormous fruit concentration, massive body, and wonderful purity, balance, and elegance. It is an extraordinarily promising 2007 with awesome fruit, depth and richness as well as a long finish. This offering will be even better with 5-7 years of bottle age, and should keep for 20+ years. Medium- to full-bodied and remarkably elegant and refined on the palate. There's sufficient tannins, yet the acidity is crisp and refreshing. A stylish Cabernet. 2012 Horsepower "Sur Echalas Vineyard" Walla Walla Valley Syrah
Bid on this bottle of 2012 Horsepower "Sur Echalas Vineyard" Walla Walla Valley Syrah ((97-100RP)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A new wine for 2012, the 2012 Syrah Sur Echalas Vineyard (same vineyard as the Grenache, and located just beside the Cayuse estate and the Armada Vineyard) is a stunning example of the quality coming from these rocky soils around Milton Freewater. Offering incredible notes of pepper, bacon fat, steak tartare, olive paste and deep, savory dark fruit, this full-bodied barrel sample has fabulous concentration, beautiful purity and a blockbuster finish. 2007 Herb Lamb "HL" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2007 Herb Lamb "HL" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. From Herb Lamb Vineyard, source of Colgin's famous Cabernet, and winemaker Michael Trujillo. The winemaker's vintage notes: "The 2007 HL is so beautifully balanced – it has a solid core of dense fruit, but is more classic than pretty – more like the great 1997 (plush) and 1999 (firm & rich) wines. It has sweet, fruity tones, emphasized by dense black fruits. It is both fruity and chocolaty – like a black cherry pie with a rich, dark Baker’s Chocolate bar. It is already showing the velvety, textured tannins and full mouth feel of a well-balanced wine with room to age. In the mouth, the 2007 HL Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon is pretty and plush while at the same time rich and dense - all that the ’05 was and more..."

2010 Hundred Acre "Ark Vineyard" Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2010 Hundred Acre "Ark Vineyard" Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon (98RP, 95ST, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: " From the Howell Mountain Arc Vineyard (usually 1,300 to 1,400 cases produced in a normal year), the 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Arc Vineyard could be a candidate for perfection when it hits full maturity in 7-8 years. However, I wouldn’t hesitate to drink it now given the sweetness of the tannin and the abundance of the ripe, concentrated, delicious fruit. The nose exhibits classic aromas of mulberries, graphite, licorice, forest floor, black currants and blackberries. This is a broad, full throttle, multilevel, sensational wine. 98+ (RP" (10/2013)

1984 Silver Oak Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 1984 Silver Oak Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (93RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "More classic than the herb and olive-tinged Alexander Valley Cabernet, and not the least bit controversial such as the Bonny's Vineyard, the dark-colored, cassis, vanillin, and smoky-scented Napa cuvee possesses wonderfully rich, full-bodied flavors, underlying, unobtrusive tannin, and oodles of rich, creamy fruit. It is a lavishly rich, boldly-oaked Cabernet Sauvignon that admirably defines the 'All American' style sought by winemaker/proprietor Justin Meyer." (08/1994)

2007 Marcassin "Marcassin Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay
Bid on this bottle of 2007 Marcassin "Marcassin Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (99RP, 95WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A staggering Chardonnay that’s still an infant, the light yellow/green/gold 2007 offers up notes of unbuttered popcorn, orange liqueur, lemon butter, quince and crushed rocks. It possesses terrific underlying acidity, a full-bodied mouthfeel and a youthfulness and freshness that suggest this wine has two decades of life ahead of it. This majestic Chardonnay seems more French than Californian, but again, this reflects the significance of the labor of these two overachieving, push-the-envelope visionaries. What California viticulture and high-class, minimalist winemaking can achieve is exhibited in bold fashion by this 2007. It will hit its prime in 5-7 years, and appears to be a replay of the 2002 stylistically as well as for its overall potential. 99+ points. (RP)" (06/2012)

2007 Maybach Family "Materium" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2007 Maybach Family "Materium" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (99RP, 98WS, 94ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The prodigious 2007 Materium exhibits an even more opaque purple color, and ratchets up the level of intensity and aromatic complexity. Blackberry, black raspberry, blueberry, and cassis aromas intermixed with notes of crushed rocks, spring flowers, and toasty new oak are found in this beauty. Outstanding intensity along with full-bodied power and beautifully integrated acids, tannins, alcohol, and wood suggest this 2007 should hit its peak in 5-7 years, and evolve for three decades or more." Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2003 Ciacci Piccolomini "Vigna di Pianrosso" Brunello di Montalcino (92RP, 91ST, 91WE, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2003 Brunello di Montalcino Vigna Pianrosso is made from the estate’s oldest vineyards. It is vinified along the same line as the regular bottling, but gets a few additional months in cask prior to bottling. This full-bodied, velvety Brunello is endowed with plenty of dark fruit, smoke, iron and tar. The tannins finish big, but the wine appears to have enough depth and length on the palate to provide a good measure of balance. The Pianrosso comes across as surprisingly fresh in this vintage, which should allow it to age more gracefully, if not necessarily longer, than the normal bottling. Anticipated maturity: 2008-2018. Proprietor Paolo Bianchini is upbeat about his 2003 Brunellos. It is the first vintage in which he had the tools to perform a cold soak, which he feels was especially critical in preserving as much freshness as p
