The delicate mix of fine floral aromas and woody scents makes the nose complex. The attack is round. On the palate, this wine has beautiful structure with very satisfactory acidity which counterbalances the sensation of smoothness and fullness from being raised in oak. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Pinot Noir Silver Eagle Vineyard is a rich, deep wine endowed with considerable depth in its black cherries, exotic spices and licorice. This is an especially juicy, dark wine from Rivers-Marie. A final burst of fruit intermingled with floral and spiced notes inform the finish. This is the second vintage for the Silver Eagle, one of the warmer sites near Occidental. The principal clones are Calera, 828 and a Vosne-Romanee suitcase clone. 2013 Pahlmeyer Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this bottle of 2013 Pahlmeyer Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (96JS, 96RP, 94VN, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "An absolute stunner is the 2013 Proprietary Red Wine, a blend of 81% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Merlot, 6% Malbec and the rest Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. This is all mountain fruit from primarily the Stagecoach Vineyard and another site in Rancho Chimiles. Beautiful floral, smoky, blackcurrant notes mixed with acacia flowers and forest floor jump from the glass of this dense, full-bodied, concentrated and age-worthy wine. Like most 2013s, this is a 30-year wine with remarkable concentration, color and fruit extract. Forget it for another 3-4 years, and drink it over the following 30+ years. Pahlmeyer certainly has one of the most consistently superb resumés for the last 30 years that any winery could desire. (RP)" (12/2016)

2015 Bevan "Dry Stack Vineyard" Bennett Valley Sauvignon Blanc
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2015 Bevan "Dry Stack Vineyard" Bennett Valley Sauvignon Blanc (96RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "I have said before that Bevan’s Sauvignon Blanc from the Dry Stack Vineyard in Bennett Valley is one of California’s finest examples of this Italian clone of Sauvignon Blanc that is planted in these gravelly, loamy soils. His 2015 Sauvignon Blanc Dry Stack Vyd may be his best to date, simply because yields were lower, and there is even more concentration. This wine is aged half and half in stainless steel and the rest in François Frères Burgundy barrels. It is 100% Sauvignon Blanc, and the wine has a spectacular bouquet of caramelized citrus, honeysuckle, orange blossom and brioche. It is amazingly rich and dense, with the texture of a great grand cru white Burgundy or top California Chardonnay. At $32.00, it might be somewhat expensive for a Sauvignon Blanc, but it’s a steal in terms of being a great wine at this price point. This is his best yet, and I’ve

It shows gorgeous depth and radiance in its fruit. Bright floral notes and an underpinning of vibrant minerality give the wine considerable lift and brightness. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2015 Carlisle "Palisades Vineyard" Napa Valley Petite Sirah ((91-94RP), (91-94VN)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Another monster in the making is the 2015 Petite Sirah Palisades Vineyard (15.7% alcohol, 580 cases). This is no ordinary Petite Sirah, but then, few are. Nearly black as a moonless night, the wine’s aromatics soar from the glass, offering up floral notes intermixed with blackberry, incense, blueberry liqueur, graphite and licorice. Huge intensity of flavor, sweet but noticeable tannins, low acidity, but fabulous richness, and a broad, almost endless finish characterize this Petite Sirah that should age well for 30-50 or more years. Bid on this bottle of 2004 Pieve Santa Restituta (Gaja) "Rennina" Brunello di Montalcino (95ST, 95WE, 93RP, 92WS). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Good deep red. Powerful yet elegant nose shows more berries and minerals and less oak than the Sugarille; this is downright Musigny-like. Then silky, suave and graceful on the palate, with compelling inner-mouth floral perfume and a wonderfully pliant texture. If anything, this wine is even more intense on the suavely tannic, extremely long finish than in the middle, as its underlying minerality gives it outstanding grip and finesse. This is made from a blend of sites while Sugarille is from a single vineyard, but it was this wine that spun my head around when I tasted the two bottles side by side. (ST)" (07/2009)

This is a blend of three clones: Calera, 828 and a suitcase clone from Vosne-Romanée known as VR. This is a bigger, richer Pinot Noir than the Occidental Ridge, with darker fruits and more forest floor, black cherry and blackcurrant notes, a lush, medium to full-bodied mouthfeel, and beautiful concentration and depth. 2005 Gracia, St-Emilion

Owned by Michel Gracia and consisting of less than five acres of vines, it turned out a final blend in 2005 of 80% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, but only 5,000 bottles were produced. A wine pushing for perfection, notes of blueberry and blackberry dominate, but also underlying the fruit is a strong core of minerality and flowers. About the producer: "At the gates of Castiglione Falletto, in the heart of the Barolo Zone, on the slopes of the Bricco Boschis, one finds the Cavallotto Winery, which lies on 25 hectares of land. Today the children of Olivio – Laura, Giuseppe and Alfio, the 4th generation working the family farm – continue to exclusively vinify the grapes produced in their estate vineyards into DOC and DOCG wines: Barolo, Dolcetto d’Alba, Barbera d’Alba, Langhe Nebbiolo, Langhe Freisa, Langhe “Grign” made from Grignolino grapes, Langhe Chardonnay and “Pinner” made from Pinot Nero grapes. Since 1928, the Cavallottto family has owned the estate Tenuta Bricco Boschis. In 1946, they were the first cultivators in Castiglione Falletto to vinify all of their estate’s fruit. In 1948 they released the first bottling of their own BAROLO wine, with the label and registered trademark of Cavallotto."

2006 Joseph Drouhin Beaune Clos des Mouches Rouge (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum lot of 2006 Joseph Drouhin Beaune Clos des Mouches Rouge (1.5L) (91RP, 91ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The Drouhin 2006 Beaune Clos des Mouches as usual reflects extensive acreage planted largely with old selection massale vines and pampered as a flagship. There is spice here as well, but of a sharply penetrating and pungent sort, suggesting raw ginger and white pepper. At the same time, this shares with nearly all of the Drouhin wines of its vintage a soothing creaminess allied to an overtly lactic flavor component which I don't find disturbing or discordant, though some might. The contrast of textural allure and pungent attack persists here into a long, satisfying and stimulating finish. I would feel confident making p

Of the 2009 Carlisle "Bedrock Vineyard" Sonoma Valley Mourvedre,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The 2009 Mourvedre Bedrock Vineyard (100% Mourvedre with 15.4% alcohol) exhibits that varietal's floral, blueberry and porcini mushroom-like characteristics as well as full-bodied power, impressive ripeness and sweet tannin. Mourvedre is a difficult varietal, but this effort is ripe with silky tannins rather than vegetal with tea-tasting fruit and excessively astringent tannin. Given the anti-oxidative characteristics of Mourvedre, this 2009 should drink well for 10-15+ years. " (02/2011)

2007 Perrier Jouët "Belle Epoque" Edition Premiere Brut Champagne
Bid on this bottle of 2007 Perrier Jouët "Belle Epoque" Edition Premiere Brut Champagne (95WE, 93WS). Wine Enthusiast: "*CELLAR SELECTION* A limited-edition vintage that Perrier-Jouët releases for summer drinking. It has weight and richness with a soft, fruity dosage that gives touches of yeast and fragrant acidity. Ripe apple, raspberry and citrus fruits are still very present in this wine that is full and balanced. It could do with more bottle age to bring out more of the toast that is just beginning, so drink from 2016." (03/2015)
