2011 Kosta Browne "Keefer Ranch" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir
Bid on this bottle of 2011 Kosta Browne "Keefer Ranch" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir (95CG, 93ST, 91AG, 91WS). Connoisseurs Guide: "We have often found a singular and very identifiable purity to the fruit of Russian River's best Pinot sites, and this lovely version from Keefer Ranch is perfect example of just that. It is optimally ripened and very rich right from the first with a long and very deep complement of juicy, red-cherry fruit, and its teasing suggestions of sweet oak and dried flowers only make a good thing even better. It manages to be lively and lithe and fairly substantial all at once, and its lengthy, amazingly vital finish further marks it as a decidedly collectable wine that vies with the very best of the vintage." 2005 Turley "Hayne Vineyard" Napa Valley Petite Syrah
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2005 Turley "Hayne Vineyard" Napa Valley Petite Syrah ((92-94RP), 91ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Not surprisingly, one of the great Petite Syrahs made in this vintage has again come from the Hayne Vineyard. Turley’s inky/blue/purple-tinged 2005 Petite Syrah Hayne Vineyard possesses a boatload of tannin as well as a fabulously concentrated attack and mid-palate. This full-bodied monster reveals beautiful purity and intensity as well as a superb attack and richness. Give it 4-5 years of cellaring and drink it over the next 20-25 years. " (12/2006)

2001 Sociando-Mallet, Haut-Médoc
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2001 Sociando-Mallet, Haut-Médoc (93RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This Haut-Medoc performed spectacularly on the two occasions I tasted it from bottle, even eclipsing its impressive showing from cask. It looks to be every bit as powerful as the 2000 ... not an easy achievement. A fabulous sleeper of the vintage, it tastes more like a first-growth than an unclassified offering. Its inky/blue/purple color is accompanied by a spectacular bouquet of lead pencil shavings, ink, blackberries, cedar, and earth. Full-bodied, with terrific texture, fabulous concentration, and moderately high tannin, this massive, atypical 2001 must be tasted to be believed. A brilliant achievement! 1998 La Couspaude, St-Emilion
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1998 La Couspaude, St-Emilion (92RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A garage operation, this cuvee of 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc enjoys the so-called 200% new oak treatment. There are about 3,000 cases, a relatively large amount for a vin de garage. Possibly the finest La Couspaude to date, the 1998 displays flamboyant notes of toasty new oak as well as an exotic personality. Unctuous, thick, full-bodied, seamless flavors redolent with plums, cherry liqueur, and vanillin cascade over the palate. Low acidity and plush, concentrated, jammy fruit add to the impressive, hedonistic qualities of this explosively rich wine. Anticipated maturity: now-2015." (04/2001)

2007 Rhys "Swan Terrace - Alpine Vineyard" Santa Cruz Mountains Pinot Noir
Bid on this bottle of 2007 Rhys "Swan Terrace - Alpine Vineyard" Santa Cruz Mountains Pinot Noir (94BH, 94ST). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Pale violet color. Drop-dead gorgeous aromas of raspberry, potpourri, Asian spices and minerals, with a strong undercurrent of white pepper and mocha; this smells like a Dujac Echezeaux, from a serious vintage. Sweet red and dark berry flavors display liqueur-like depth, tangy minerality giving the wine verve. The mineral note dominates the long, spicy finish, which echoes the red fruit and floral notes. It's hard to find this level of precision, depth and drive outside the high-rent districts of Chambolle." (06/2009)

2002 Mayacamas Mount Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2002 Mayacamas Mount Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon. The thin, rocky volcanic soils at Mayacamas, in the Mt. Veeder district of western Napa, decrease vigor, producing small, concentrated berries. Mild summers and cold winters further intensify flavors. After two and half years in wood (a year and a half in large oak casks, then one year in 60 gallon oak barrels) the wine exhibits classic structure, with balanced acids and tannins. Pure berries fill the nose with undercurrents of Mt. Veeder licorice and bay. On the palate, the fruit tends toward the dark, blackberry and black cherry, with hints of pepper and mint. Decant now or cellar for seven or more years.

Nose sweet and feminine and quite attractive. Beautifully balanced with classy, sweet liquorish fruits. Harmonious. Superb wine for long-term aging. Retasted in Bordeaux in July 2003: a very fragrant nose, loaded with spice, glycerin and raspberry. The palate is still quite tannic but there is great concentration of liquorice infused fruits. Good grip. Blackcurrant and burnt toast on the finish. Superb. (NM)" (01/2000)

1996 Cantemerle, Haut-Médoc
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1996 Cantemerle, Haut-Médoc. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "It is an excellent Cantemerle, if not quite as stunning as I had expected. The wine offers a dark ruby color, and a sweet nose of black raspberries, subtle new oak, and acacia smells. There is fine sweetness and solid tannin in this elegant, symmetrical wine. It is more forward and lighter than it was from cask, but it is a stylish example of Cantemerle. Anticipated maturity: 2003-2015." (04/1999)

1996 La Couspaude, St-Emilion
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 1996 La Couspaude, St-Emilion ((89-91RP)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "La Couspaude's 1996 has turned out well. This wine, made from 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc (3,000 cases), is given 100% new oak malolactic fermentation. Following malolactic fermentation, 25% of the new oak is replaced with additional new oak barrels, thus that portion of the cuvee is entitled to the so-called "200% new oak elevage." This is a richly fruity, sexy, medium-bodied, surprisingly soft and fragrant wine. Its open-knit aromatics consisting of pain grille, cherry liqueur, smoke, and black currants are followed buy a luscious, soft, lightly tannic wine. It is destined to be drunk during its first 10-12 years of life. -RP" (04/1999)

2011 Sheridan "Boss Block" Yakima Valley Cabernet Franc
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2011 Sheridan "Boss Block" Yakima Valley Cabernet Franc (93RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A Cabernet Franc dominated release, the 2011 Boss Block spent 25 months in 50% new and 50% one-year-old French oak barrels. Due to vintage conditions, Scott opted to use less toast on the barrels for this cuvee. Coming from tiny yields, it gives up a rich, medium to full-bodied and approachable style to go with notions of chocolaty dark fruits, spice, dried flowers and sweet oak. Supple and up-front, with a soft mid-palate, it nevertheless is beautifully balanced and will evolve gracefully for upward of a decade. (JD)" (06/2014)

It’s impressive and will continue to shine for 10-12 years. Drink now-2022. This is a great lineup by Chad Melville. Neutral oak, no SO2 until racking, varying degrees of whole cluster, native yeasts and a very cold cellar are the name of the game here and these are have individual, unique profiles. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2013 Rivers-Marie "B. Thieriot" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (98RP, 95VN). Thieriot Vineyard, from the very old vineyard planted in 1990 with the Robert Young clone of Chardonnay. It was cropped at 1.5 tons of fruit per acre and aged in Louis Latour cooperage. Composed of 72% Mourvèdre, 20% Grenache and 8% Syrah, this beauty offers up notes of sweet, briery black raspberry and black cherry fruit, earth, underbrush, pepper and barbecue spice, and a deep, rich, full-bodied mouthfeel. 2009 Domaine Michel Magnien Clos de la Roche Grand Cru
Bid on this bottle of 2009 Domaine Michel Magnien Clos de la Roche Grand Cru ((91-94BH), (92-94ST), 91RP). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Good deep, bright red-ruby. Wild nose melds strawberry, mocha, game, iron, licorice, lavender and crushed tock. Then tighter and drier on the palate than the Clos-Saint-Denis, and much less open to inspection today. Very pure and soil-inflected but less fruity today. Finishes with impressive length. But this will need five or six years in the cellar. (ST)" (01/2011)

2008 Rhys "Bearwallow" Anderson Valley Pinot Noir
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2008 Rhys "Bearwallow" Anderson Valley Pinot Noir (93BH, 92ST). Allen Meadows - Burghound: " *Outstanding* A deft, indeed almost invisible, touch of wood sets off even more complex aromas of spicy red pinot fruit and warm earth nuances that also suffuse the concentrated, intense and powerful big-bodied flavors that are supported by distinctly firm tannins and a much more overt sense of austerity on the strikingly long finish. This is built to age and will probably outlive the Home...The estate wines of Rhys Vineyards are made from biodynamically farmed fruit and owner Kevin Harvey and winemaker Jeff Brinkman continue to drive the wines to new heights. There are usually varying percentages of destemming but in 2008 there was none (as was also the case in 2007). That the wines are of very high quality is evident but what is wonderfully refreshing is that the wines are also unique and original. Simply put, they are unlike any other pinots being crafted in Calif

2008 Cayuse "Armada Vineyard" Walla Walla Valley Syrah
Bid on this bottle of 2008 Cayuse "Armada Vineyard" Walla Walla Valley Syrah (98RP, 97WE, 95ST, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2008 Armada Vineyard Syrah takes the longest to come around according to Christophe Baron. It was aged in puncheon for 22 months. Smoked meat, game, Asian spices, lavender, and blueberry are just some of the scents composing the wine’s aromatic array. In the glass it opens to reveal a pure, rich, elegant but powerful wine with a 60-second finish. It, too, will drink nicely for 10-12 years. I’m a bit cautious on my aging potential estimates because of the lack of a track record, but 10-12 years is a certainty in a cold cellar. (JM)" (08/2011)

2008 Pride Mountain "Reserve" Sonoma-Napa Counties Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2008 Pride Mountain "Reserve" Sonoma-Napa Counties Cabernet Sauvignon (95CG, 94ST, 93WE, 92RP, 91JS, 90WS). Connoisseurs Guide: "*Three stars* There are times, and this is clearly one of them, when measuring a wine by its label-stated alcohol level is an exercise in self denial. Better that one should measure this one by its gorgeous, focused, deep and balanced character because this is a refined, complex effort with layers and layers of on-point attractions. Its handsome aromas combine notes of ripe cherries with those of raspberries, new leather, hints of cedar and a nice suggestion of rich hardwoods. Admittedly full in body, yet silky in texture and very well-balanced, it hides its inner potency within a polished yet sinewy frame, and like its predecessors from earlier years, will age for a decade and more." Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2013 Bedrock Wine Company "Nervo Ranch-Heritage Wine" Alexander Valley Red Blend (93RP, 93VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2013 Proprietary Red Nervo Ranch Heritage comes from a vineyard planted on a steep incline in 1896 and a field blend of Zinfandel, Negrette, Grenache, Petite Sirah, Trousseau, Alicante and Grand Noir. Fermented with indigenous yeasts and aged in 30% new French oak, this super red boasts a dense ruby/purple color as well as a fabulous bouquet of spring flowers, blue and black fruits, camphor and licorice. 2011 Rivers-Marie Sonoma Coast Tasting Lot
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2011 Rivers-Marie Sonoma Coast Tasting Lot, including 1-bottle of 2011 Rivers-Marie "B. Thieriot" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (92RP) and 1-bottle of 2011 Rivers-Marie "Gioia" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (91ST). Of the 2011 Rivers-Marie "B. Thieriot" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The 2011 Chardonnay B. Thieriot Vineyard is gorgeous in this vintage. Lemon, almonds, savory herbs andnectarine all burst from the glass. Rich, layered and strikingly beautiful, the 2011 stands out for its pure balance. A touch of botrytis-inflected sweetness adds an exotic flair on the close. This is a highly representative example of Sonoma Coast Chardonnay. The Rivers Marie Chardonnay is unfined and unfiltered, so the color can sometimes be a little cloudy relative to more commercial wines, but that is in no way a negative, just a characteristic of the wine. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2018.(Antonio Galloni)" (04/2013)

2005 Cantena Zapata "Nicolás Catena Zapata" Cabernet Sauvignon Mendoza
Bid on this bottle of 2005 Cantena Zapata "Nicolás Catena Zapata" Cabernet Sauvignon Mendoza (98RP, 94ST, 94WE, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The flagship wines begin with the purple/black-colored 2005 Nicolas Catena Zapata, a blend of 78% Cabernet Sauvignon and 22% Malbec. The fruit was sourced from four of the estate’s finest high-elevation vineyards, and aged for 24 months in 100% new French oak. The brooding bouquet delivers pain grille, mineral, violet, scorched earth, pepper, espresso, black cherry, and black raspberry aromas leading to a dense, opulent wine with gobs of savory fruit, ripe tannins, terrific concentration, and a 60-second finish. Allow it 6-8 years in the cellar to reveal its full potential and enjoy it from 2015 to 2030. " (12/2008)

This magnificently complex wine coats the taster's palate with unending layers of sweetened Earl Grey tea (a bergamot-infused tea), white fruits, flowers, raspberries, and other assorted red berries. Bid on this bottle of 2007 Domaine de la Janasse "Chaupin" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (98RP, 94ST, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: " Showing a smidge of worrisome volatile acidity, the 2007 Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee Chaupin nevertheless has off-the-hook levels of richness and depth. Spring flowers, blackberry, cassis, licorice, violets and white pepper are all present here, and it’s a massive wine on the palate, with big fruit, a voluptuous texture and a great finish. After this tasting, I pulled a bottle from my cellar (purchased on release), and it was firing on all cylinders, with not a hint of VA, so this appears to be an isolated issue. One of the benchmark estates in the Rhone Valley, Domaine de la Janasse is run by the talented brother/sister pair of Christophe and Isabelle Sabon. Located in the northeastern portion of the region, near Courthezon, they produce an incredible range of wines, from their Vin de Pays, to their Cotes du Rones and world-class Chateauneuf du Papes, all o
