Of the 2005 Hartwell Stags Leap District Merlot,Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar writes: "Saturated ruby-red. Rather vague aromas of red fruits and rose petal, with some exotic oak notes of scotch and coconut. Juicy maraschino cherry, redcurrant and spice flavors are carrying a heavy load of sweet oak. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2003 Behrens & Hitchcock "Chien Lunatique" Napa Valley Syrah (90RP, 90ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The irrepressible, schizophrenic Jack Russell terrier has his own cuvee, the 2003 Chien Lunatique, a 290-case blend of 91% Syrah and 9% Cabernet Sauvignon, with most of the Syrah coming from Napa's Page-Nord Vineyard. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2011 Donum "Angel Camp Vineyard" Anderson Valley Pinot Noir (93RP, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The highly laudable 2011 Pinot Noir Angel Camp possesses a juicy sucrosity that is almost atypical for a 2011. Its dark plum/ruby hue is followed by floral, blueberry, raspberry and cherry aromas, medium to full-bodied flavors, and an expansive, savory mouthfeel with an enticing texture. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Cristom "Marjorie Vineyard" Eola-Amity Hills Pinot Noir (94RP, 94W&S, 93ST, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Cristom’s 2010 Pinot Noir Marjorie offers a particularly clear performance, with pure red raspberry and strawberry more confitured than in the other Pinots of this collection; wreathed in high-toned freesia, sassafras and licorice-like floral and herbal essences; mingled with almond and pistachio extract; as well as tinged with the brown spices that run like a vintage marker through this collection. Many of these characteristics are of course known to be reinforced by the proper use of stems and whole clusters with which Doerner is associated. Yet the refinement of texture – already almost silken – belies most wine observers’ as well as vintners’ conceptions of vendange entier. The billowing inner-mouth floral and nut extract essences and sweet, sappy red berry fruit that practically erupt on an expansive, tactilely invigorating and buoyant

Bid on this magnum of 2013 Merry Edwards "Coopersmith" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir (1.5L) (96WE, 92RP, 91CG). Wine Enthusiast: "From Laguna Ridge Vineyard, which surrounds the producer's winery, this bottling begs to be explored. It's beguiling from the beginning, with unexpected shots of soy, corn nuts and gamy charcuterie. Big, structured tannins support juicy flavors of black cherry and raspberry, resulting in a complex, velvety mouthfeel. Flourishes of dark chocolate and cardamom tease on the finish. *Editors' Choice* (VB)" (06/2016)

2014 Saxum "G2" Paso Robles Rhône Blend

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Tasted just after bottling and a final blend of 58% Mourvedre and 42% Grenache, the 2014 G2 Vineyard comes from a site just to the southeast of James Berry (this was formerly known as Gravity Hills Vineyard) that was planted in the late 1990s. The first release from Justin from this site, this beauty sports a deep ruby/purple color as well as a gorgeous, layered bouquet of cured meats, spice, mulled dark fruits, graphite and loads of this chalky minerality that also emerges on the palate. Bid on this magnum of 2010 Tablas Creek "Esprit de Beaucastel" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (1.5L) ((93-95JD), 94RP, 92ST, 90WE). Jeb Dunnuck: "Firm, structured, and showing the coolness of the vintage beautifully, the 2010 Tablas Creek Esprit de Beaucastel (45% Mourvèdre, 30% Grenache, 21% Syrah, and 4% Counoise) is a fresh, focused, and balanced red that has loads of crushed berry like fruit, licorice, sappy underbrush, and floral nuances, as well as superb underlying minerality, all emerging from the glass. Quite tight and firm on the palate, with excellent purity, juicy acidity, and a youthful, energetic feel, this will most likely require 3-5 years of bottle age once released, and have 15+ years of total longevity. A pronounced spicy element on the midpalate continues through the finish, and is entirely seductive. (VB)" (10/2014)

An exotic taste of black cherry is full-bodied in the mouth, yet supported by admirable acidity. Light to medium-bodied, this is a delicately styled expression with lots of lively red berry and earth flavors framed by grainy tannins and a racy backbone, finishing long. (LPB)" (04/2017)

Pinot clones include "heritage clones" from California sources: Calera, Mt. Eden, and Swan. Bid on this bottle of 2010 Larcis Ducasse, St-Emilion (98RP, 97JS, 97VN, 94ST, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The wine boasts 14.6% natural alcohol and is a final blend of roughly three-fourths Merlot and the rest Cabernet Franc, cropped at a ridiculously low 19 hectoliters per hectare. Notes of licorice, garrigue, incense, smoked meats, espresso, creme de cassis and blackberry liqueur jump from the glass of this unbelievably intense wine. Remarkably full, with compelling freshness and precision, this is a fabulous effort in 2010. It will probably close down over the next several years, and not re-emerge for at least a decade, something that often happens with the bigger, richer, more muscular St.-Emilions from the limestone hillsides and plateaux. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2011 Martinelli "Lolita Ranch" Russian River Valley Chardonnay (92ST, 92VN, 91RP). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Light gold. Broader and riper on the nose than the Three Sisters, displaying scents of ripe melon, Meyer lemon, iodine and toasted nuts; think Meursault versus the Puligny-like character of the precious wine. Pliant honeydew and citrus marmalade flavors are complemented by vanilla and tarragon nuances and a hint of smoky minerality. The mineral quality sharpens the chewy finish, which clings with very good spicy tenacity. (ST)" (05/2014)

Bid on this bottle of 1991 Far Niente Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Wine Spectator: "Supple and elegant, with a finely crafted band of spicy currant, black cherry, cedar, anise and light oak shadings. Impressive for its balance and delicacy. Finishes with firm but fine tannins. Appealing now, but has the depth and concentration to last into the next decade. (JL)" (09/1994)

2014 Radio-Coteau "Clos Platt" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2014 Radio-Coteau "Clos Platt" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir ((92-95VN), 90RP). Vinous: "Succulent dark cherry, plum, cloves, menthol and new leather open up in the 2014 Pinot Noir Clos Platt. A vibrant, nuanced wine, the Platt stands out for its vertical structure, firm beams of supporting tannin and exceptional balance. Today, the Platt is dark, mysterious and full of personality. Interestingly, Platt and Terra Neuma are next to each other, and yet the wines are so vividly different. (AG)" (02/2016)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2013 Rivers-Marie "Gioia" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir. Allen Meadows - Burghound: "This is noticeably reduced and I would strongly recommend decanting it if you're going to try a bottle young. Otherwise there is good freshness and verve to the middle weight flavors that possess a suave and rounded mouth feel before culminating in a cool, dusty and firm finish that suggest that this will need, as well as reward, 6 to 8 years of cellaring." 2013 Saxum "James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend
Bid on this bottle of 2013 Saxum "James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (97RP, 96VN, 96WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2013 James Berry Vineyard Proprietary Red is made from 45% Grenache, 29% Mourvedre, 18% Syrah and 8% Counoise (which Justin commented was a blend that was put together relatively late). It saw a big chunk of whole cluster (the Grenache was mostly destemmed though) and was brought up all in puncheons and foudre (the normal concrete component went to the Rocket Block). It offers up gorgeous notes of black raspberries, cherries, cassis, ground herbs and flowers. This beauty hits the palate with incredible purity, fine tannin and an overriding sense of elegance and finesse, backed up by full-bodied richness and depth. It needs to be forgotten for 3-4 years and it will drink beautifully through 2028. (JD)" (08/2016)

1978 Stag's Leap Wine Cellars Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 1978 Stag's Leap Wine Cellars Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Stag's Leap Wine Cellars was founded in the early 1970s by the Winiarski family on land that would eventually become part of the Stags Leap AVA in Napa Valley. The Cabernet Sauvignon-dominant blend had its first vintage in 1972, and rose to rapid fame in 1976 when it beat out the likes of Mouton-Rothschild and Haut-Brion at the blind Judgement of Paris tasting that is widely credited with putting California's wine industry on the map. Winery note: "Stag's Leap Wine Cellars was known only in the Napa Valley until the now-famous 1976 Paris Tasting, when Winiarski's 1973 Cabernet Sauvignon, the first wine produced at the new winery, bested four top-ranked Bordeaux entries, including first-growths Château Mouton-Rothschild and Château Haut-Brion. The tasting landed Stag's Leap Wine Cellars squarely among the ranks of the world's most noteworthy Cabernet producers and placed Winiarski among the ranks of worl

Bid on this magnum of 2013 Merry Edwards "Flax Vineyard" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir (1.5L) (93WE, 90BH). Wine Enthusiast: "This is a Westside Road site known for its rocky soils, and the wine presents sassafras, cherry-berry and roses on the entry before laying down a tightly woven mix of sour, salty cranberry and blood orange. It is softly voluptuous and velvety, though young, with a biting chewiness that should mellow in the cellar. *Cellar Selection* (VB)" (07/2016)

James Suckling: "This is a gorgeous wine with subtle dried meat, minerals and ripe fruit. Full and balanced with fine tannins and a long finish. Very beautiful. Harmonious and layered. 2014 Williams Selyem "Heintz Vineyard" Russian River Valley Chardonnay
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2014 Williams Selyem "Heintz Vineyard" Russian River Valley Chardonnay (96WE, 92VN). Wine Enthusiast: "The Heintz Vineyard is on the outskirts of the AVA, really pushing toward the coast, with the expected cool-climate characteristics of fresh acidity and complex, savory tones. This wine wows in every way, from its notes of exotic coconut meat and apple pie to its tang of Meyer lemon, all accented by bergamot and anise. The spice rides a wave of body and length toward the finish, alongside an unmistakable streak of minerality. Hold through 2024. *Cellar Selection* (VB)" (09/2016)

2009 Pride Mountain Sonoma County Cabernet Franc (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum of 2009 Pride Mountain Sonoma County Cabernet Franc (1.5L) (92WE). Wine Enthusiast: "The new oak on this Cab Franc is strong. So is the fruit, which suggests red cherries and blackberries so ripe the juice runs down your chin. But the wood and fruit haven’t come together. They’re slugging it out for supremecy. No reason to have to choose between them. Give it 6-8 years in a good cellar and let everything come together. *Cellar Selection* " (11/2013)

2014 Bevan "Summit 2114" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2014 Bevan "Summit 2114" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (92RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "I tasted four Pinot Noirs from 2014, all of them stunning. Another Sonoma Coast cuvée, the 2014 Pinot Noir Summit 2114 is 60% Calera clone and 40% Swan clone. The wine is dark ruby, more primordial and muscular, with plenty of structure, moderate tannin and rich red and black fruits. It comes across like a Northern Chambertin from Burgundy with its meatiness and rather masculine structure. Give it another year of bottle age and drink it over the following decade. Bid on this 4-half-bottle lot of 2002 Léoville-Barton, St-Julien (375ml) (92RP, 91ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Even better from bottle than from cask, and one of the finest wines of the vintage, this dense purple-colored 2002 reveals wonderfully sweet notes of charcoal, fresh mushrooms, smoke, earth, leather, cassis, and cedar. Full-bodied, highly extracted, broodingly backward, dense, and deep, this impressively endowed offering is built for the long term. (RP)" (04/2005)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2008 Gramercy Cellars "Lagniappe" Columbia Valley Syrah (92RP, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2008 Syrah Lagniappe was aged for 15 months in French barriques and puncheons. A glass-coating opaque purple color, it reveals a perfume of Asian spices, mineral, lavender, smoked meat, and blueberry. On the palate it is round and elegant with no hard edges to be found. Medium-bodied, spicy, and pleasure-bent, it will drink well over the next 8-10 years. (JSM)" (08/2010)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2008 Gramercy Cellars "John Lewis" Walla Walla Syrah (95RP, 92WS, 91ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2008 Syrah John Lewis is 100% Les Collines fruit that received the same aging regimen as the two preceding Syrahs. A glass-coating opaque purple color, it sports an alluring nose of smoke, Asian spices, incense, lavender, game, bacon, and blueberry. A bit bigger in scale with more structure, density, and volume, it also has greater depth of flavor, more complexity, and an overall opulent personality.
