Bid on this 8-bottle lot of 2001 Joseph Drouhin Puligny-Montrachet. Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Fascinating nose of white flower fruit cut with pungent grass and herb notes plus subtle anise hints followed by round, fat, forward, sappy flavors that offer solid intensity and fine length. This is really quite good for a villages level wine." (07/2003)

1989 Mouton-Rothschild, Pauillac
Bid on this bottle of 1989 Mouton-Rothschild, Pauillac (98JS, 96WS, 90RP). James Suckling: "Freshly picked blackberries turn into minty dark chocolate and oozing caramel with domineering eucalyptus on the nose. It becomes yet more complex on the palate thanks to layers upon layers of spices and sage plus fat and rounded tannins. There's a long finish with a bitter aftertaste, suggesting this could do with another 10 years or more of bottle aging. This is a Mouton I found massive at the time, then elegant and slightly austere years later, but today true to its former glory. Like the amazing 1947, it should not be forgotten." (06/2016)

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2006 Simon Bize Savigny-les-Beaune 1er Cru "Aux Vergelesses" (93BH, 90RP, 90WS). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "***Sweet Spot - Outstanding*** This is extremely primary, indeed to the point of where it even appears backward relative to the Fourneaux with a similarly brooding nose of plum and dark berry fruit with extraordinarily powerful flavors for this growth with everything it needs for a long life as the impression is one of controlled muscle and punch plus gorgeous length. This competes very favorably for the Savigny of the vintage honors though note that the style is decidedly old school. (AM)" (04/2008)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1994 Zind-Humbrecht "Clos Windsbuhl" Pinot Gris Vendage Tardive Alsace (98RP, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The stunning, golden 1994 Pinot Gris Clos Windsbuhl Vendange Tardive displays a hugely botrytised, smoke, honey, spice, and exotic fruit scented nose. This decadently-textured full-bodied wine coats the taster's palate with spice-laden mangoes, super-ripe apricots, and sweet peaches. It is a domineering wine, massive in its intensity of flavors and structure, yet remarkably maintains elegance and balance. Projected maturity: 2004-2020+. (PR)" (10/2000)

Of the 1999 Tardieu-Laurent St. Joseph Vielles Vignes,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "While the 2000 Tardieu-Laurent offerings are excellent for the vintage, they are significantly less concentrated and textured compared to the awesome 1999s. The 1999s which were given fabulous ratings from barrel, were not tasted from bottle. However, given part experience with bottled Tardieu-Laurent wines, they are undoutedly as good as I predicted from cask. They are not racked until bottling, produced with minimal levels of SO2, and bottled with neither fining nor filtration. (RP)" (04/2002)

2012 Alphonse Mellot "Les Romains" Sancerre
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2012 Alphonse Mellot "Les Romains" Sancerre (94RP, 91ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Sourced from vines plated in 1951 on partly limestone, partly silex soils the dense, firmly structured 2012 Sancerre Les Romains has an intense yellow color and a rich nose with an amalgam of ripe (and slightly oxidized) fruit, crushed rocks, fresh citrus flavors, yeast, (new) oak, nut oil, hazelnut, yogurt and chalk. On the palate all these impressions become tactile and tastable in a rich, creamy textured Sancerre with a demanding minerality and a finish that reminds of vins jaunes of the Jura region. Although quite inaccessible, this is a profund, powerful and extremely salty Sauvignon of great expression and complexity. It is by far not fully developed but we should be curious to taste it again in 3-4 years. 94+ (SR)" (10/2014)

Traditional and aromatic, a full-bodied wine that bursts with leather, smoke, mineral, game and wild mushrooms. Round, smooth and ripe, it could use some time in the cellar to reach its peak, but it's tempting now, thanks to the graceful tannins and fresh vibrant finish. (PM)" (11/2002)

This powerhouse boasts stunning levels of kirsch, garrigue, pepper and framboise, a big, full-bodied mouthfeel and super freshness, purity and overall equilibrium. Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2010 Delas Freres "Domaine des Tourettes" Hermitage (OWC - 96RP, 92ST, 92WS) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Hermitage Domaine des Tourettes is an incredible wine that's only eclipsed by the 2009 Domaine des Tourettes. The 2010 is inky colored, concentrated and full-bodied, yet also elegant and seamless, with terrific complexity in its blackcurrant, saddle leather, cured meats, toasted bread and graphite aromas and flavors. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A big time sleeper of the vintage and a terrific success for Fieuzal, the 2008 is a wine to buy given its realistic price. Dense plum/purple-colored with a soaring bouquet of blue and black fruits, unsmoked cigar tobacco, lead pencil shavings and spring flowers, it is a suave, savory, medium to full-bodied, remarkably silky, appealing wine to enjoy over the next 12-15 years. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Gevrey-Chambertin Les Champeaux is marvelously complex and complete. Everything is in the right place, from the expressive bouquet to the sweet, delineated fruit. Crushed rocks and sweet spices add further nuance before the wine starts closing in on itself. This is a muscular, intense Burgundy that needs time in the bottle to soften. Anticipated maturity: 2019-2029. (AG)" (05/2011)

2000 Domaine Leroy Pommard "Les Vignots"
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2000 Domaine Leroy Pommard "Les Vignots". Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A highly aromatic and beautifully complex nose features discreet but not invisible oak influence along with lovely floral hints to the fresh, ripe and mature dark berry fruit and earth suffused aromas. There is good richness and detail to the lightly mineral-driven middle weight flavors that possess a fine sense of energy but not the depth or sophistication displayed on the nose, all wrapped in a solidly long finish. This is one of those wines that has a truly distinguished nose but an average plus amount of depth and length so some may like this more than I do. To be sure, this is a very pretty wine but it's not special in the context of what Leroy typically does with it. In terms of drinkability for my taste this has reached its peak though it should be capable of holding at this plateau for another decade." (04/2014)

Wine Enthusiast: " * Cellar Selection * The Vigne de l’Enfant Jésus is a 10-acre parcel in the heart of the Grèves vineyard that once belonged to Carmelite nuns. This really fills out on the mid-palate and finish. The radiance of the fruit makes this one of the more approachable 2009 grand crus for near and mid-term drinking, although it may age quite a bit longer based on the sheer density of its fruit. An inky/purple color is followed by aromas and flavors of creme de cassis, blackberries, charcoal, coffee and licorice. Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2006 Domaine J-F Mugnier Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru "Les Fuées" (92RP, 92ST, 91BH). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Peat, black tea, game, mint, crushed stone, and dark berry aromas rise in at once sinister and enticing profusion from the glass of Mugnier's 2006 Chambolle-Musigny Les Fuees. Corresponding low-toned complexity characterizes the opulently-textured and caressing, bittersweet palate. Stony minerality proves the most tenaciously aspect of this dark beauty's long, soothing, yet almost brooding finish. It sent chills back up my spine just transcribing my tasting note and recreating this wine's uncanny, hard-to-describe character. This full-bodied classic boasts a dense purple color as well as a superb nose of graphite, creme de cassis, forest floor, licorice and a hint of truffles, low acidity, and extravagant richness. 2003 Bois de Boursan "Cuvée Felix" Châteauneuf-du-Pape
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2003 Bois de Boursan "Cuvée Felix" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (95RP, 94WS, 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2003 Domaine Bois de Boursan Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee des Felix is superb. Showing a mature, yet still lively and fruit-driven profile of sweet currants, saddle leather, truffle, and garrigue, it stays beautifully rich and seductive on the palate, with layers of sweet fruit, no hard edges and a great finish. Certainly a ripe vintage, yet everything is perfectly proportioned, the tannins are sweet and it is a joy to drink. A blend of 65% Grenache and the balance a mix of Mourvedre and Syrah, from 90-year-old vines, it held up beautifully with air and is a raging success in the vintage. It can be consumed now or over the coming 5-8 years or more. (JD)" (06/2013)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2007 Domaine Bois de Boursan "Cuvée des Félix" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (95WS, 94RP, 93ST). Wine Spectator: " This shows the vintage's powerful core of fig, blackberry and mulled currant fruit, but shows extra dimensions of roasted chestnut, maduro tobacco, lavender and iron. The long finish has a hot stone note buried in it. Best from 2012 through 2029. (JM)" (03/2010)

2012 Domaine Billaud-Simon Chablis "Preuses" Grand Cru
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2012 Domaine Billaud-Simon Chablis "Preuses" Grand Cru (93VN). Vinous: "A totally elusive wine, the 2012 Chablis Les Preuses is playing its cards close to the vest. A brilliant, energetic Chablis, the Preuses shows considerable textural depth, but is otherwise not terribly expressive. Hints of lime, grapefruit and crushed rocks emerge over time, but only with great reluctance. A hint of spice suggests the Preuses saw oak, but it was in fact done entirely in steel. Patience is going to be key here. 94+ Points (AG)" (08/2014)

2012 Domaine Billaud-Simon "Vaudesir" Chablis Grand Cru
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2012 Domaine Billaud-Simon "Vaudesir" Chablis Grand Cru (93ST, 92RP, 92VN). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "(Bernard Billaud began aging this wine in 100% used futs as of vintage 2011): Pale yellow. Musky aromas of mirabelle, toasted brioche, lemon, rose petal and spices. Densely packed and youthfully closed, even austere, but hints at lovely high notes of jasmine and fleur de sel. Very unforthcoming on the spicy back end and in need of seven or eight years in the cellar. But long on potential. (I tasted a bottle of the 2007 Vaudesir, done entire in cuve, and was seduced by its saline, sake-like aromas and silky texture. This bottle, which I rated 92 points, is at the captivating stage between young and mature and is perfect for drinking now.) 93+ Points" (07/2014)

Of the 2005 Domaine Amiot Guy et Fils Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru "Les Caillerets",Allen Meadows - Burghound writes: " *Sweet Spot Outstanding* Aromas of brioche and wood spice add nuance to the mostly citrus and white flower nose that is both airy and elegant as they announce beautifully precise, textured, sweet and mouth coating flavors driven by an almost pungent minerality on the vibrant, pure and long finish. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2004 Jean Boillot Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru "Clos La Mouchere" ((92-95ST), 92BH). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Clove and flint on the nose. Sweet, dense and powerful, with a creamy, distinctly old-viney texture. This boasts outstanding richness and extract for the vintage. Saturates the palate with flavor on the finish. These 65-year-old vines produced a moderate 35 hectoliters per hectare in 2004, compared to 42 in 1999 and just 18 in 2003, according to Boillot." (09/2005)

White flowers, white orchard fruits, smoke, mint and sage are some of the many notes that come alive in the glass. Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2013 Domaine Dauvissat-Camus Petit Chablis. There is good volume but also good energy to the solidly concentrated middle weight flavors that display a fine bead of minerality on the agreeably dry and chalky finish. This is quite good for what it is and worth considering." (10/2015)

Allen Meadows - Burghound: " *Outstanding* There is a discreet touch of floral influence to the otherwise very fresh and pure extract of red pinot fruit, plum, anise and wet stone scents. I very much like the energy exuded by the racy and equally pure medium-bodied flavors that are built on a base of minerality before culminating in a spicy, intense, balanced and linear finish. This is really quite good though patience will be a necessity." (04/2013)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2011 Domaine Henri Gouges Nuits-St-Georges 1er Cru "Clos des Porrets St-Georges" ((90-92BH), 91WS, 90ST). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Here too a background application of oak is visible on the intensely earthy and beautifully complex nose of both red and blue Pinot fruit, earth, violet and plum scents. There is good size, weight and power to the relatively supple mid-palate though the firm core of tannins is apparent on the moderately austere and impressively long finish. This is very Nuits in character but not unduly rustic or rough. Drink 2021+. " (01/2013)

Black fruit, smoke, tobacco and licorice flesh out as this broad-shouldered, structured Nuits shows off its inimitable personality. Layers of fruit build to the huge, vibrant finish. Shows a darker profile in the mouth, offering palate-staining blackberry and bitter cherry flavors and a strong floral quality.
