2000 Pichon-Baron, Pauillac
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2000 Pichon-Baron, Pauillac (97RP, 94ST, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This is one of the great wines of the vintage, and certainly a candidate for one of the finest wines made at this estate under the management of Christian Seeley and proprietor AXA. Showing incredibly well at two tastings of 2000s, the wine has a dense bluish/purple color and a beautiful nose of incense, melted asphalt, and creme de cassis as well as hints of new saddle leather and licorice. It is superbly concentrated and very pure, with excellent texture and opulence. The acidity seems low, the tannin high but well-integrated. This is a compelling 2000 that is just closing in on its window of maturity and should stay there for at least 20 or more years. Bravo! (RP)" (06/2010)

It shows remarkable depth and polish in its elegant, impeccable bouquet and harmonious, layered fruit. This is all finesse, all the way. My notes read: extraordinary! Anticipated maturity: 2019-2034. Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2005 Louis Jadot Clos St. Denis Grand Cru ((93-96BH), (92-94RP), 91ST). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A wonderfully refined and distinctly floral nose with hints of wood spice and powerfully concentrated and ripe fruit marries with intense, precise and serious big-bodied flavors that retain the tender side of a fine Clos St. Denis yet it cedes nothing in terms of power to the Clos de la Roche. There is another dimension here and this is a knockout." (04/2007)

Bid on this 12-bottle lot of 2008 Bouchard Père et Fils Chambertin-Clos de Bèze Grand Cru (OWC - 95BH, 94ST, 93RP) in original wood. 95 points Burghound: "A wonderfully, even exuberantly spicy and layered nose speaks of earth, underbrush and a certain animale character on the primarily red berry fruit that moves seamlessly into cool and intensely mineral broad-scaled flavors that are powerful, vibrant and display a saline element on the stylish and classy finish that is presently quite linear and will require plenty of time to flesh out because the suggested initial drinking window is not a typo." (04/10) 93 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Bouchard’s 2008 Chambertin Clos de Beze smells of dark cherry and plum, dusty crushed stone, peat, and licorice, Fine grained tannins permit a caressing palate feel that fits the wine’s sumptuously rich fruit, while mineral interest lends its long finish an almost spell-binding sense of interactivity. This should be worthy of at least 15 years

2010 Domaine Drouhin-Laroze Clos Vougeot Grand Cru
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2010 Domaine Drouhin-Laroze Clos Vougeot Grand Cru ((92-94BH)). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A slightly riper blend of red and blue pinot fruit, violets and plenty of warm earth also suffuses the rich, full-bodied and very serious broad-shouldered flavors. This enjoys an abundance of tannin-buffering dry extract that confers a sappy texture to the driving, complex and hugely long finish. This is a first-rate example of this uneven appellation and well worth considering." (01/2012)

The wine literally floats on the palate with weightless elegance in its intensely perfumed fruit. Crushed flowers and red berries linger on the silky, impossibly fine finish. This is a fabulous effort from Dujac. Anticipated maturity: 2018-2033. " (05/2011)

Tannic, with lots of pure black raspberry and black cherry fruit intermixed with a notion of charcoal as well as the aforementioned rocky/powdered stone component, this long distance runner requires another 5-6 years of cellaring. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The inky/blue/purple-tinged 2005's extraordinary nose reeks of charcoal, incense, scorched earth, abundant blackberry, blueberry, and cherry fruit, toast, and spice. Good acidity, huge but sweet tannin, and fabulous precision as well as definition characterize this full-bodied, super-concentrated effort. Bid on this bottle of 2009 Domaine Beaurenard "Cuvée Boisrenard" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (96WS, 93RP, 91ST). Wine Spectator: " *Highly Recommended* This powerful red offers a muscular core of roasted fig, blackberry and cassis fruit framed by thick, mesquite-tinged tannins, with loads of tobacco, pepper and tar coating the finish. Yet despite its power, this is racy and defined, with mouthwatering cut on the finish, where the mesquite note lingers. Ambitiously toasty, yet fully integrated. On par with the superb 2001 and 2005 vintages. Best from 2014 through 2024. " (10/2011)

Bid on this bottle of 2007 Domaine de la Janasse "Chaupin" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (98RP, 94ST, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: " Showing a smidge of worrisome volatile acidity, the 2007 Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee Chaupin nevertheless has off-the-hook levels of richness and depth. Spring flowers, blackberry, cassis, licorice, violets and white pepper are all present here, and it’s a massive wine on the palate, with big fruit, a voluptuous texture and a great finish. After this tasting, I pulled a bottle from my cellar (purchased on release), and it was firing on all cylinders, with not a hint of VA, so this appears to be an isolated issue. One of the benchmark estates in the Rhone Valley, Domaine de la Janasse is run by the talented brother/sister pair of Christophe and Isabelle Sabon. Located in the northeastern portion of the region, near Courthezon, they produce an incredible range of wines, from their Vin de Pays, to their Cotes du Rones and world-class Chateauneuf du Papes, all o

Bid on this bottle of 2007 Domaine de la Mordorée "Reine des Bois" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (97RP, (93-96ST), 96WS, 92W&S). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Evolving beautifully, the 2007 Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee de La Reine des Bois has shed some of its crazy tannin and is showing a more layered, voluptuous profile. Possessing beautiful kirsch, blackberry, candied licorice, flowers and lavender, it offers knockout richness and decadence to go with brilliant purity of fruit, superb concentration, and a full-bodied, layered mouthfeel. While I don’t think it matches the ’01 or ’10, it’s an incredible bottle of wine that can be consumed anytime over the coming 10-15 years. (JD)" (08/2014)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2007 Chateauneuf du Pape Le Secret du Sabon is jaw-dropping good, and tops out on my scale. Crazily perfumed and complex, with layers of kirsch, crushed flowers, incense, beef blood and garrigue, it hits the palate with massive depth and richness, thrilling purity of fruit and a seamless texture that needs to be tasted to be believed. I'd happily drink bottles today, but given its mid-palate depth and no shortage of tannin that emerges on the finish, it will have no issues evolving through 2027. (JD)" (08/2014)

1989 Lynch-Bages, Pauillac (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum of 1989 Lynch-Bages, Pauillac (1.5L) (99RP, 96WS, 95ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1989 has taken forever to shed its formidable tannins, but what a great vintage of Lynch Bages! I would rank it at the top of the pyramid although the 1990, 2000, and down the road, some of the more recent vintages such as 2005, 2009 and 2010 should come close to matching the 1989's extraordinary concentration and undeniable aging potential. Its dense purple color reveals a slight lightening at the edge and the stunning bouquet offers classic notes of creme de cassis, subtle smoke, oak and graphite. Powerful and rich with some tannins still to shed at age 22, it is still a young adolescent in terms of its evolution and will benefit from another 4-5 years of cellaring. It should prove to be a 50 year wine. (RP)" (08/2011)

2006 Mouton-Rothschild, Pauillac
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2006 Mouton-Rothschild, Pauillac (98RP, 97WE, 96ST, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A sensational effort, the 2006 Mouton Rothschild exhibits an opaque purple color as well as a classic Mouton perfume of creme de cassis, flowers, blueberries, and only a hint of oak. Dalhuin told me that in whisky barrel-tasting vintages such as 1989 and 1990, Mouton was aged in heavily-toasted barrels, and they have backed off to a much lighter toast for the barrels’ interior. I think this has worked fabulously well with the cassis quality fruit they get from their Cabernet Sauvignon. The full-bodied, powerful 2006 possesses extraordinary purity and clarity. A large-scaled, massive Mouton Rothschild that ranks as one of the top four or five wines of the vintage, it may turn out to be the longest-lived wine of the vintage by a landslide. This utterly profound Mouton will need to sleep for 15+ years before it will reveal any secondary nuances, but it is a packed and sta

Superbly-ripe but abundant tannins undergird a mouthful of ripe fruit, with strong mineral character grabbing the baton in the final lap. 2009 Domaine Joseph Drouhin Chambertin Clos de Beze Grand Cru (OWC)
Bid on this 12-bottle lot of 2009 Domaine Joseph Drouhin Chambertin Clos de Beze Grand Cru (OWC - (92-95BH), 92WS) in original wood. Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A fresh nose mixes both natural and wood spice together with rose petal, wild red currant and intense earthiness that also suffuses the cool, elegant, admirably pure and beautifully well-detailed flavors that culminate in a linear, austere and hugely long finish. This should be first rate but like all of these grands crus, it will not be an early drinker. Drink 2024+." (01/2012)

2011 Domaine Dujac Clos de la Roche Grand Cru
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2011 Domaine Dujac Clos de la Roche Grand Cru (94BH, 94ST, 94VN, 91RP). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Good dark red. Musky, peppery aromas of red cherry, rose petal and underbrush. Silky, rich and fine-grained, with ineffable flavors of red berries, cherry, peppery herbs and spices spreading out to saturate the palate without leaving any impression of weight. Wonderfully suave, energetic wine with outstanding complexity and finishing breadth. This wine was going through an awkward stage when I tried it from barrel a year ago but has turned into a swan." 2010 Gros Frere et Soeur Grands Echezeaux Grand Cru
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2010 Gros Frere et Soeur Grands Echezeaux Grand Cru ((92-94RP), 93BH). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Grands-Echezeaux is weightless and impeccable. Subtlety and elegance are the backbone of this beautifully balanced Grands-Echezeaux. Dark cherries, blackberries, spices, licorice and tar all flow through effortlessly to the inviting, seamless finish. Despite its deceptively medium-bodied personality, the wine has plenty of depth, not to mention terrific overall balance. (AG)" (02/2012)

Bid on this 1.5 liter 3-bottle lot of 2009 Domaine de Montille Volnay 1er Cru "Taillepieds" (1.5L) ((92-94BH), (91-93RP), (90-92ST)). Allen Meadows - Burghound: " *Sweet Spot, Outstanding* A restrained yet perfumed nose is the essence of wet stone and ripe pinot, all trimmed in dried floral notes. Like the Mitans, this is also positively crystalline as the flavors seem to be composed from liquid rock and deliver positively huge length along with the hallmark finishing austerity of a young Taillepieds. A highly impressive effort of impeccable balance." (05/2011)

2010 Domaine Faiveley Mazis-Chambertin Grand Cru
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2010 Domaine Faiveley Mazis-Chambertin Grand Cru ((93-96BH), (92-95ST), 95WE, 94WS). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A very deeply pitched nose that displays fresh red and dark berry fruit and floral aromas along with notes of the sauvage that continue over to the serious and very solidly structured big-bodied flavors. This is an impressively scaled wine yet the supporting tannins are relatively fine though quite dense and as such, the overall impression is one of robust power even if it is refined in its delivery. This is going to require a long cellar stay but it should be magnificent when it finally emerges." (01/2012)

2009 Delas Freres "Les Bessards" Hermitage
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2009 Delas Freres "Les Bessards" Hermitage (100RP, 94ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Every bit as profound as the 2010, yet in a more voluptuous, lower acid, hedonistic style, the inky colored 2009 Hermitage les Bessards (aged all in new French oak) offers incredible intensity and depth in its black raspberry, toasted bread, graphite and spice-like aromas and flavors. Full-bodied, massively endowed and with a wealth of raw material, it has high, yet sweet tannin and a finish that just won't quit. Give it 4-5 years and drink it over the following 3-4 decades. Unfortunately, this is made in tiny quantities, but count yourself lucky if you were able to grab a few bottles of either the '09 or '10. (JD)" (09/2015)

2008 Lafite-Rothschild, Pauillac
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2008 Lafite-Rothschild, Pauillac (98RP, 97WE, 95JS, 93ST, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A candidate for the wine of the vintage, the 2008 should have been purchased before it began to soar in value because of the significance of the number 8 in the Chinese culture (denoting good luck). Representing 40% of the production, this blend of 83% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Merlot and 4% Cabernet Franc offers aromas of high quality unsmoked cigar tobacco, lead pencil shavings, creme de cassis, earth, cedar and asphalt. Full, rich and stunningly concentrated... The 2008 should be relatively drinkable in 6-10 years as it is already showing remarkable complexity and breed, and will last for 30-35 years...at the minimum. (RP)" (05/2011)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2010 Henri Boillot Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru "Les Perrieres" ((91-94RP), 91BH). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Puligny-Montrachet Perrieres is all tension and focus. The aromas and flavors build beautifully in towards the layerd, explosive finish. I especially like the energy and sheer driven of the 2010 Perrieres. I can hardly wait to taste this from bottle. Anticipated maturity: 2015+. (AG)" (09/2011)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2006 Lucien le Moine Meursault 1er Cru "Les Perrières" ((90-93BH), 93ST, 92WS). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Musky aromas of peach and smoke. Sweet on entry, then more shapely and structured than the Genevrieres, with strong minerality framing and extending the peach, crushed stone and spice flavors. Less exuberant than the Genevrieres but more reserved and classic. Offers a rare blend of sweetness and minerality. Finishes very long and clean. 93+ (ST)" (09/2008)

2001 Léoville Poyferré, St-Julien
Bid on this bottle of 2001 Léoville Poyferré, St-Julien (95WE, 93W&S, 90RP, 90ST, 90WS). Wine Enthusiast: "The completeness of 2001, with its miraculous balance, is present in this wine. The acidity, ripe blackcurrants sit comfortably on top of dry tannins, the fleshiness of the fruit taking the edge off the tannins. It seems to bring out the structure, the fruit and the refreshing acidity of great Cabernet." (12/2007)

2008 Ducru-Beaucaillou, St-Julien
Bid on this bottle of 2008 Ducru-Beaucaillou, St-Julien (95RP, 94JS, 94WE, 92ST, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of the stars of the vintage, and a remarkable achievement in 2008, with impressive richness, this dense purple colored wine is almost as opaque as the 2010. Spring flowers, crushed rocks, creme de cassis and some subtle oak are followed by a full-bodied, concentrated wine that transcends the vintage character in its power, richness, and aging potential. It also exhibits tremendous precision, purity, and depth of character. It is more forward than the 2010 is likely to be, but probably not as sumptuous as the 2009 will turn out to be. This is a wine to buy. Anticipated maturity: 2016-2035." (05/2011)

Wine Spectator: " Lovely berry, spice and leather aromas follow through to a medium- to full-bodied palate, with firm and silky tannins and a long, caressing finish. A harmonious wine. Not quite what it was from barrel, but outstanding all the same. Racy Calon. Best after 2010. " (03/2003)

2005 Le Gay, Pomerol
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2005 Le Gay, Pomerol (95RP, 93WS, 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "95+ points. The finest Le Gay produced since the post World War II era, the 2005 even eclipses the fabulous 1982 and 1989. This inky/purple-hued effort reflects the commitment of proprietress Catherine Pere-Verge. An extraordinary perfume of blueberries, blackberries, flowers, truffles, and a touch of steely minerality is followed by a massive wine of exceptional concentration, a multilayered texture, phenomenal purity, and a finish that lasts for nearly a minute. It is a massive, old style, pure, rich Pomerol that should only be purchased by patient connoisseurs as gratification will need to be deferred for at least a decade. 2010 Domaine Malandes Chablis Vaudesir Grand Cru
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2010 Domaine Malandes Chablis Vaudesir Grand Cru (93BH). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "( from a .90 ha parcel planted in 1967 and 1987 and matured in 1 to 5 year old oak) A highly complex and really quite perfumed nose offers up notes of mineral reduction, green fruit, sea breeze and a hint of spice, all trimmed is a subtle touch of wood. There is outstanding richness to the full-bodied and palate coating flavors that display an abundance of acid-buffering dry extract as well as superb length on the moderately austere finish. I very much like the textured and impressively refined mouth feel and this is a classic Vaudésir. Drink: 2017+" (09/2012)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2010 Domaine Jean-Marc Morey Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru "Les Champs Gains" (92BH). Allen Meadows - Burghound: " *Outstanding* Here the ripeness is dialed back a bit as the aromas run toward white flowers though there are notes of orange peel and white peach. There is excellent richness to the plump and generous flavors that possess both good detail and a fine sense of vibrancy before ending in a clean, dry, balanced and solidly persistent finish. This is lovely and I very much like the harmonious finale." (06/2012)
