1982 Moët & Chandon "Dom Pérignon" Brut Champagne
Bid on this bottle of 1982 Moët & Chandon "Dom Pérignon" Brut Champagne (97VN, 96JS, 96RP, 93WS). Vinous: "(from magnum) Both 1982 Champagnes are utterly spellbinding. It is amazing to taste these wines at 30 years of age and see that their signatures are all very much intact. Of course, the magnum format is so ideal for Champagne... The 1982 Dom Pérignon is just a little more focused and vibrant in style. Here it is the wine’s salivating minerality that really sings. It, too, is quite youthful and vibrant for its age. What a flight. (AG)" (01/2014)

2006 Domaine Bruno Clair Bonnes Mares Grand Cru
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2006 Domaine Bruno Clair Bonnes Mares Grand Cru ((91-94BH)). Allen Meadows gives this 91-94 points and writes: "(the first vintage since 1984). A discreet touch of wood spice highlights the brooding red pinot fruit aromas as well as the serious, earthy, rich and mouth coating flavors that possess ample dry extract, conferring a textured and sappy character to the detailed, precise and very firm finish. The tannins are ripe however and while notably present, they are not aggressive. An impressive debut." (Burghound, 01/08)

Allen Meadows - Burghound: "There is a gentle touch of wood spice to the very fresh, cool and pure nose that offers up notes of various red berries and a floral hint. There is good detail and a beguiling vibrancy to the saline and intense medium-bodied flavors that possess a firm and solidly persistent finish. If this can add a bit of depth during the course of its evolution it could merit the upper end of my projected range." (01/2014)

It's a wine with a character of cloves and berries with hints plums. It shows loads of potpourri. Roses too. Full and so balanced. Tight and youthful. The winemaker at Lafite says that when he wants to show someone a perfect example of Pauillac this is the Lafite he pours. Maybe he is right? " (12/2013)

Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "(100% vendange entier): Medium red. Aromas of redcurrant, tobacco, dusty spices and rose petal. Suave, precise and intense if still youthfully tight; this appears to possess the density and saline extract to support the whole-cluster vinification. Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1990 La Conseillante, Pomerol (97RP, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This deep ruby/garnet-hued 1990 reveals considerable amber at the edge as well as a knock-out bouquet of cedar, kirsch, licorice, roasted herbs, and spice box. An exuberant, atypically flamboyant effort, it possesses supple texture, medium to full body, sweet fruit, plenty of glycerin, and attractive melted tannin. Of the 1982 Léoville-Las Cases, St-Julien,Wine Spectator writes: "A racy, classy, silky wine. Inky-ruby color. Black cherry, mineral and wet earth aromas. 1990 Léoville-Las-Cases, St-Julien
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1990 Léoville-Las-Cases, St-Julien (96RP, 94ST, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "As one might expect, this is a brilliant wine, but it remains shockingly young, even for the fast evolving 1990s. Its deep ruby/purple color is accompanied by a classic, nearly restrained set of aromatics that includes notions of sweet black cherries, black currants, lead pencil, and wet stones. In the mouth, it is full-bodied, and while technically low in acidity, there is a freshness, delineation, and classicism in this full-throttle, rich, concentrated, impeccable 1990. While still youthful, it is easy to appreciate despite its substantial tannins. It is not quite as backward as the 1990 Lafite Rothschild or 1990 Latour. Anticipated maturity: now-2035. 1990 Margaux, Margaux
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1990 Margaux, Margaux (100RP, 98ST, 96WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "I had this wine both in Seoul, Korea in February, and from my cellar in December, 2008, and it was remarkable how identical the wines smelled and tasted. It offers an extraordinary aromatic display of spring flowers, camphor, sweet red and black fruits, a hint of licorice, and no evidence of its 100% new oak cask aging. Round and generous with low acidity, but an opulent, full-bodied richness that is fresh with laser-like precision, this stunning wine is just beginning to reach its plateau of full maturity, where it should remain for another three decades. A sensational effort, it is one of the legendary wines made at Chateau Margaux." (06/2009)

1975 Cheval Blanc, St-Emilion
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1975 Cheval Blanc, St-Emilion (95VN, 90RP). Vinous: "Bright ruby-red with a hint of garnet. Enticing floral nose offers very pure raspberry and red cherry aromas, complicated by tobacco and bay leaf notes. Then sweet, dense and smooth in the mouth, with rich red cherry, plum and peppery flavors. Finishes with still chewy but noble tannins and a trace of heat. A great Cheval Blanc that is more massive than usual, showing plenty of concentrated, complex flavors and a wonderfully rich texture. In this vintage, Cheval Blanc benefited from its earlier ripening soils, which allowed the grapes to be harvested at optimal phenolic ripeness, something that eluded other Bordeaux estates that may have picked too early. The harvest took place from September 26 to October 8. This was the first vintage of Cheval Blanc ever sold en primeur. (Ian D'Agata)" (10/2011)

Bid on this bottle of 1990 Domaine Louis Jadot Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru "Clos St. Jacques" (96RP, 93BH, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Jadot, which has major holdings in the village of Gevrey-Chambertin, has turned out some stunning wines at the premier cru level. It produced a profound Gevrey-Chambertin-Clos St.-Jacques. Andre Gagey, who, along with his son, Pierre-Henri, and their winemaker, Jacques Lardiere, participated in the tasting, announced he had put considerable quantities of this particular wine in his cellar to "help get him through his retirement." The color is a saturated dark ruby. The nose explodes from the glass, offering a melange of scents, including black-raspberries, toasty new oak, cloves, vanilla, and candy. In the mouth, there is astonishing richness, a thick, well-defined texture, and a flamboyant, moderately tannic finish that lasts well over a minute. The personality hallmarks of the 1990 vintage, the chewy, super-ripe character of the Pinot Noir an

The palate is supremely well-balanced with the terroir really percolating through the fruit, more so than the more fruit-driven 2009. Domaine de Montbourgeau Macvin du Jura
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of Domaine de Montbourgeau Macvin du Jura (90RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The Macvin is a mistelle again, pure Chardonnay. What I tasted is a single vintage wine, but the vintage is not shown on the label. This NV Macvin du Jura from Montbourgeau can have some 200-220 grams of residual sugar, as the must didn’t ferment and was just fortified to 17% alcohol. The marc is aged for three years in barrels. The combination of fresh must and the aged marc is unique and easily identifiable. Once you smell it, you will recognize it forever, and it might be an acquired taste -- think of an oak aged grappa mixed with white grape must (it could also be red) and there you are. This is a wine used as an aperitif in the Jura, sometimes with some cheese. It’s quite sweet and could be quite dangerous, if you drink a lot of it, especially in the sun; you might need to go for a siesta! (LG)" (10/2015)

2013 Domaine Raveneau Chablis 1er Cru "Butteaux"
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2013 Domaine Raveneau Chablis 1er Cru "Butteaux" (93RP, (91-93VN), 92BH, 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2013 Chablis 1er Cru Butteaux has a sensual nose with subtle hazelnut, smoke and almost resinous scents, verging on Riesling scents, that are beautifully defined. The palate is fresh and vibrant on the entry with pleasing, mouth-watering salinity, easing back toward the finish with Granny Smith apples and a healthy dash of lemongrass. I can imagine this changing a lot in bottle – it comes across as a mercurial Chablis Butteaux. (NM)" (08/2015)

2010 Château de Puligny Montrachet Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru (1.5L)
Bid on this 3-magnum lot of 2010 Château de Puligny Montrachet Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru (1.5L) ((91-94BH)). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "An unusually expressive nose of yellow orchard fruits includes overt hints of the exotic as well as an abundance of wet stone notes. There is excellent richness and volume to the plush and extract-rich large-scaled flavors that possess a seductive texture on the delicious, complex and lingering finish that is linear, citrus-inflected and quite dry, all wrapped in plenty of toasty oak. This is frankly awkward today and not really a typical Chevalier and thus I stress to readers that my score offers the benefit of the doubt based on the strength of the underlying material." 1982 Mouton-Rothschild, Pauillac
Bid on this bottle of 1982 Mouton-Rothschild, Pauillac (100JS, 100RP, 98ST, 98WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This wine remains one of the legends of Bordeaux. It has thrown off the backward, youthful style that existed during its first 25 years of life, and over the last 4-5 years has developed such secondary nuances as cedar and spice box. The creme de cassis, underlying floral note, full-bodied power, extraordinary purity, multilayered texture, and finish of over a minute are a showcase for what this Chateau accomplished in 1982. The wine is still amazingly youthful, vibrant, and pure. It appears capable of remaining fruity and vibrant in 2082! Thank God it is beginning to budge, as I would like to drink most of my supply before I kick the bucket. This is a great, still youthful wine, and, on occasion, one does understand the hierarchy of Bordeaux chateaux when you see the complexity and brilliance of this first-growth. (RP)" (06/2009)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2000 Haut-Brion, Pessac-Léognan (99RP, 96ST, 96WE, 95JS, 94W&S, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2000 Haut-Brion (a blend of 51% Merlot, 43% Cabernet Sauvignon, and the rest Cabernet Franc) showed incredibly at the tasting, and for me is one of the three or four most prodigious wines of the vintage. A compelling nose of roasted herbs, scorched earth, sweet blueberries, plums, black currants, and a hint of graphite is followed by a deep, layered, sumptuously textured, full-bodied Haut-Brion, but one with extraordinary complexity. This wine seems more evolved and approachable than I had expected it to be at age 10. My window of maturity seven years ago was 2012-2040, but I would change that to 2010-2050. (RP)" (06/2010)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2011 Domaine Michel Lafarge Volnay 1er Cru "Les Caillerets" ((92-94BH), (92-94ST)). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Good medium bright red. Aromas of black cherry and licorice. Juicy, pure and intense but a bit youthfully streamlined today, showing terrific purity and penetration to its dark fruit, spice and stony mineral flavors. Lovely sappy, refined Volnay with terrific cut. Really dances on the palate on the long, vibrant, weightless finish." (01/2013)

Honey, graphite, dried apricots, wild flowers and anise blossom in an ample, resonant Chardonnay loaded with personality. The flavors are remarkably bright, pure and focused. (AG)" (11/2014)

2012 Vincent Dancer Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Vincent Dancer Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru (95RP, 94ST, 93BH). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru comes from a 0.096-hectare parcel of vines planted in 1952 in four rows adjacent to “La Cabotte” (see Bouchard Pere & Fils). It yields just a single barrel per annum. Leaving my glass aside for five minutes, it reveals an entrancing bouquet with hints of blackberry leaf, citrus peel, flint and Alpine streams. The palate is very taut on the entry with a fine line of acidity, superb mineralite and tangible weight and presence toward the finish commensurate with a grand cru. This is a great Chevalier-Montrachet from Vincent Dancer. (NM)" (02/2014)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2010 J.N. Gagnard Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru "Les Caillerets" ((92-94BH)). Allen Meadows - Burghound: " *Sweet Spot, Outstanding* As is often the case, this possesses the most elegant nose of the range with its attractively layered aromas of lemon-lime, pear, white flower and wet stone hints where the latter element can also be found on the pure and impressively concentrated medium-bodied flavors. The mouth feel is at once suave yet precise and I very much admire the intensity and sense of underlying tension on the citrusy, long and bone dry finish. Good stuff here and absolutely worth your attention." (06/2012)

1990 Lafite-Rothschild, Pauillac
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1990 Lafite-Rothschild, Pauillac (96RP, 95WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Interestingly, a bottle of 1990 Lafite Rothschild I pulled from my cellar for a video blog on my web site was still buttoned down, tight, and even with extended decanting was not showing as much as I would have hoped. However, a bottle tasted, of all places, in Seoul, Korea in February, was only a few points short of perfection. That amazing performance motivated me to pull another bottle out of my cellar and follow it over the course of two days. Sure enough, by the second day the wine was roaring from the glass. The 1990 Lafite has turned out far better than my early assessment. While it still possesses some firmness, and performs like a late adolescent in terms of its evolution, it boasts gorgeous aromas of cedar, tobacco leaf, cassis, and lead pencil shavings. The explosive aromas are followed by a fleshy, full-bodied wine that should hit its peak in 5-8 years, and last for 25

1989 Lynch-Bages, Pauillac
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1989 Lynch-Bages, Pauillac (99RP, 96WS, 95ST, 94JS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1989 has taken forever to shed its formidable tannins, but what a great vintage of Lynch Bages! I would rank it at the top of the pyramid... Its dense purple color reveals a slight lightening at the edge and the stunning bouquet offers classic notes of creme de cassis, subtle smoke, oak and graphite. Powerful and rich with some tannins still to shed at age 22, it is still a young adolescent in terms of its evolutionand will benefit from another 4-5 years of cellaring. It should prove to be a 50 year wine. (RP)" (08/2011)

2008 Domaine Henri Boillot Clos Vougeot Grand Cru
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2008 Domaine Henri Boillot Clos Vougeot Grand Cru (93ST, 92BH, 92RP). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Saturated, bright red-ruby. Expressive, ripe aromas of black cherry, pepper, and a whiff of leather. Full, sweet and harmonious, with great lift and definition to its sappy black cherry and licorice flavors. Really compellingly sweet and palate-coating for a 2008. The fine-grained tannins contribute to the impression of precision on the explosive, vibrant back end. Boillot told me he did a selection in 2008 but that it was to eliminate pink grapes, as there was almost no rot. (ST)" (03/2011)

1986 Climens, Barsac
Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 1986 Climens, Barsac (96RP, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A totally compelling Climens and to my mind, every bit as good as the 1988, the 1986 is probably the best Climens made since their spectacular 1971. It is still light gold in color, with an expansive bouquet of new oak, oranges, pineapples, and other tropical fruits. In the mouth, the great richness seems all the more impressive because of the wine's remarkable clarity and definition. There is as much botrytis in the 1986 as in the 1988. Despite the intensity and extract levels, this sweet wine comes across as crisp and relatively light. The 1986 is a stunning example of Climens at its very best. (RP)" (08/1993)
