2004 Mouton Rothschild, Pauillac
Bid on this bottle of 2004 Mouton Rothschild, Pauillac (94JS, 94W&S, 93VN, 93WS, 92ST, 90RP). James Suckling: "I drank this 2004 Chateau Mouton-Rothschild the other night at home with some wine producers. I decanted it only right before serving - a mistake made while concentrating on the cooking food. On the nose there were coffee and chocolate aromas with hints of vanilla. It was super fruity, and its medium body was coupled with beautifully soft tannins. This is just coming around now and it's very New World in style. Overall, a much overlooked vintage from Mouton." Bid on this bottle of 2000 Léoville-Las-Cases, St-Julien (100JS, 100WS, 98RP, 97WE, 95ST, 95W&S). Wine Spectator: " *Collectibles, #5 on the Top 100 of 2003* Absolutely fantastic. This is one of the most exciting young reds I have tasted in a long, long time. It shows intense aromas of berries, currants and minerals, with hints of mint. Full-bodied and packed with fruit and tannins, its long finish is refined and silky. A benchmark for the vintage. Las Cases has always wanted to make first-growth quality in a top-notch vintage, and it certainly did in 2000. (JS)" (03/2003)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2007 Domaine du Pégaü "Cuvée Réservée" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (95RP, 95WS, 94ST). Wine Spectator: " *Collectible* This packs it all together, with the ripe plum sauce, braised fig and currant paste notes of the vintage matched with invigorating hoisin sauce, brick dust and grilled beef notes. The long finish drips with fruit, but stays framed by a wild edge that keeps this firmly planted in terroir. Best from 2011 through 2031." (06/2010)

1998 Beau-Séjour Bécot, St-Emilion
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1998 Beau-Séjour Bécot, St-Emilion (92RP, 90ST, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "I must say, served against Pavie-Macquin and Cheval Blanc of the same vintage, one could argue that Becot is the most pleasurable 98 at the moment. Superb delineation and vivacity on the nose, particular compared to the Pavie-Macquin. A very pure bouquet, with blackberries, blueberries and a touch of black plum. It is also beginning to reveal a sense of minerality with time in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied , does not have particularly great depth, but is very well balanced, well-poised with a pretty, floral finish. Medium-length. Drinking very well now and over the next 7-8 years. Drink now-2016. Tasted September 2008. (NM)" (11/2008)

This dense purple wine has the tell-tale notes of flowers and pencil shavings, and its broad aromatics are intense and totally captivating. Powerful, rich, and full, but less tannic than the 2005 and more opulent, this is a dazzling Branaire to drink between 2017-2035. (RP)" (02/2012)

Bid on this magnum lot of 2005 Pontet-Canet, Pauillac (1.5L) (97RP, 96WS, 95CG, 95ST, 94WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Possibly the youngest wine of all the 2005 Médocs in terms of its evolution, at age 10 the inky purple 2005 Pontet-Canet tastes more like a two-year-old wine. Loads of pure blueberry, blackberry and cassis fruit are present along with a hint of licorice and background oak. It is full-bodied, ripe, and excruciatingly fresh, vigorous and exuberant. This is a tour de force, and a sensational effort that rivals the first growths. Give it another 5-10 years of cellaring, and drink it over the following 30-40 years. (RP)" (06/2015)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This beautiful wine from Fleur Cardinale performed great in its youth, both from barrel as well as post-bottling. A gorgeous blend of 70% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon made by the Decoster family, the 2005 provides more evidence that this property is fully exploiting its tremendous potential. A few years away from reaching its plateau of maturity, its stunning nose of black cherry liqueur, cassis, licorice, earth and spice is followed by a full-bodied, concentrated and pure wine. 2008 Le Gay, Pomerol
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2008 Le Gay, Pomerol (94RP, 92ST, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of the top successes of the vintage, the 2008 Le Gay, a blend of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc (13.5% alcohol) was produced from tiny yields of 25 hectoliters per hectare. Bottled unfined and unfiltered, it exhibits a dense purple color as well as a sweet nose of spring flowers intermixed with blueberries, blackberries, dark raspberries, crushed rocks and white chocolate. Full-bodied, super intense and extremely promising (although it is unusually backward for a 2008), it will benefit from 5-7 years of cellaring and may merit an even higher score in a decade or so. It should last for 30+ years, making it one of the longest-lived wines of the vintage. (RP)" (05/2011)

This intense, voluptuously textured, full-bodied St.-Julien possesses low acidity and ripe tannin. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2003 Margaux, Margaux (98RP, 97JS, 96ST, 96WE, 95WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This was the finest performance by this wine that I have seen since it was released. I did not expect the 2003 Chateau Margaux to show this well in a vintage where the southern part of the Medoc was clearly less impressive than the north. However, it is a beautiful, dark plum/purple-tinged effort with sensational aromatics, a full-bodied mouthfeel, and a youthfulness, precision and freshness that belie what one generally associates with this vintage. It can be drunk now and over the next 15-20 years. Kudos to Chateau Margaux. (RP)" (08/2014)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2006 Les Forts de Latour, Pauillac (92RP, 91ST, 91WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2006 Les Forts de Latour has a much more precise and lively bouquet than the Le Petit Mouton: blackberry, briary and vanilla emerging from the glass, suggesting that it needs another couple of years to reach its peak. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, commendable depth of fruit and tangible mineralité. This is better than some of the Pauillac Grand Vins, such is the detail and energy on the finish. Bid on this bottle of 2000 Domaine Leflaive Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru (94BH, 93RP, 92ST). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "While there is a background touch of reduction present, it's not enough to materially detract from the wonderfully fresh, layered and altogether classic BBM nose of honeysuckle, white flowers and citrus aromas that gracefully introduce detailed, precise and still intense medium-bodied flavors that evidence a subtle minerality on the focused, sappy and strikingly long finish. Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "(Bernard Billaud began aging this wine in 100% used futs as of vintage 2011): Pale yellow. Musky aromas of mirabelle, toasted brioche, lemon, rose petal and spices. Densely packed and youthfully closed, even austere, but hints at lovely high notes of jasmine and fleur de sel. Very unforthcoming on the spicy back end and in need of seven or eight years in the cellar. But long on potential. (I tasted a bottle of the 2007 Vaudesir, done entire in cuve, and was seduced by its saline, sake-like aromas and silky texture. The youngest release blends 40% of vintage 2008 with 60% of 2009. The wine starts very intense on the nose and intertwines pineapple aromas with new oak flavors. Brisk, pure aromas of citrus skin, powdered stone, quinine and iodine. Juicy and citric on entry, then supple and rich in the middle, but with superb energy giving shape and grip to the lemon-lime, citrus, stone and floral flavors. Conveys an impression of sucrosite but also comes across as wonderfully fresh and taut. Pure, palate-dusting, rising finish boasts terrific lift and aromatic perfume. It possesses a level of richness found in only a handful of the world's greatest wines. The dense purple color is followed by multiple flavor dimensions as well as massive concentration and thickness. It is reminiscent of a dry vintage Port, without the weight. The knock-out nose of framboise, blackberry liqueur, cassis, licorice, and lead pencil shavings is followed by layers of flavor, remarkable purity, and a finish that lasts nearly a minute. Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 2007 Cuvée du Vatican "Reserve Sixtine" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (95RP, 93WS, 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "I loved the 2007 Chateauneuf du Pape Réserve Sixtine, and this is probably the finest example of this cuvee since the 2003. Made from 50% Grenache, 30% Syrah and the rest Mourvèdre, destemmed and aged in a mix of foudre, old barrels and small amounts of new barrels, it offers terrific purity in its black raspberry and cassis fruits, melted licorice and cured meat aromas and flavors. With full-bodied richness, beautiful mid-palate density and no hard edges, it’s a joy to drink today but will certainly keep for another decade or more. (JD)" (02/2017)

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2007 Domaine de la Solitude "Cornelia Costanza" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (97RP, 93WS, 91ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Grenache-lovers need to latch onto bottles of the 2007 Chateauneuf du Pape Cornelia Constanza! This unctuous, hedonistic and full-bodied beauty is just overflowing with notions of ripe black currants, raspberries, licorice, roasted Provencal garrigue and hints of chocolate. Big, rich and decadent yet never over the top and always balanced and pure, it’s a tour de force in Grenache to enjoy over the coming 5-6 years, possibly longer. (JD)" (02/2017)

Bid on this 7-bottle lot of 2007 Clos Saint Jean Châteauneuf-du-Pape (94RP, 92JS, 92WS, 91ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Showing the quality of the vintage, the 2007 Chateauneuf du Pape is an incredible wine. Possessing the classic kirsch liqueur, incense, flowers and licorice aromas and flavors that always show here, it flows onto the palate with a jaw dropping good texture that carries massive amounts of fruit, beautiful mid-palate concentration and a layered, silky feel. It's hard to resist now, but it will be better in another couple years. (JD)" (08/2014)

Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 2007 Domaine de la Vieille Julienne Châteauneuf-du-Pape (95RP, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A beautiful wine that's just now hitting maturity, the 2007 Chateauneuf du Pape from Jean-Paul Daumen is still ruby colored to the rim and offers up a classic bouquet of black raspberries, black licorice, fruit cake, garrigue and roasted meats. Full-bodied and concentrated, yet with a seamless, impeccably balanced profile, it's drinking beautifully today but has another 10-15 years of overall longevity. (JD)" (02/2017)

1998 Domaine du Vieux Télégraphe "La Crau" Châteauneuf-du-Pape
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1998 Domaine du Vieux Télégraphe "La Crau" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (95RP, 94WE, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Between 1978 and 2007, this 1998 is the greatest Vieux Telegraphe that was produced. It has taken a good decade for this wine to shed its tannins and come out of a dormant, closed period. It has finally emerged, and notes of iodine, seaweed, black currants, incense, and sweet cherries as well as hot rocks jump from the glass of this full-bodied, powerful wine. It possesses considerable elegance and purity, along with loads of raspberries and incense, in a round, juicy, rich style that is just emerging from the closet. The wine is still youthful and a pre-adolescent in terms of its ultimate evolution. Approachable now, it will continue to evolve for another 15-20 years. Bravo! (RP)" (06/2010)

2012 Domaine Alain Burguet Chambertin-Clos de Bèze
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Domaine Alain Burguet Chambertin-Clos de Bèze ((92-94VN)). Vinous: "The 2012 Chambertin Clos de Bèze marries the pure intensity of the vintage with notable freshness. Dark red and black fruit, smoke, tar and spices build in a wine that impresses for its volume and resonance. Today the flavors are a bit compact, but I imagine that is just a function where the wine is in its life. I very much like the sense of power and density here. (AG)" (01/2014)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1998 Domaine du Clos du Caillou "Réserve le Clos du Caillou" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (97RP, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of the top wines in the vintage today, the 1998 Chateauneuf du Pape Reserve le Clos du Caillou tastes more like a mature Bordeaux than a Chateauneuf du Pape. Giving up lots of graphite, smoked meats, olive, tobacco and dark fruits, this beauty is full-bodied, concentrated and textured, with building tannin, yet possesses the hallmark elegance and purity of the estate. The first vintage from this cuvee and coming from 60% Grenache and 40% Mourvedre, it will continue to drink beautifully through 2023+." (08/2015)

2007 Xavier Vins "Cuvée Anonyme" Châteauneuf-du-Pape
Bid on this 7-bottle lot of 2007 Xavier Vins "Cuvée Anonyme" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (96RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Except for Henri Bonneau's 2007 Reserve des Celestins (which is still in barrel), the last 2007 Chateauneuf du Pape to be released will be Xavier Vignon’s Anonyme. This sensational wine spent three years in a combination of demi-muids and small oak. It boasts an inky/purple color along with a sweet nose of underbrush, garrigue, licorice, blackberries and black currants. Full, thick, unctuously textured and even flamboyant, this stunning 2007 should drink well for another 15-20 years... Fashioned from the best fruit from old vines planted in the finest parcels is the Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee Anonyme.(RP)" (10/2010)

2008 Lafarge Volnay Clos du Chateau des Ducs
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2008 Lafarge Volnay Clos du Chateau des Ducs (93BH, (92-93RP), 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The Lafarge monopole 2008 Volnay Clos Du Chateau Des Ducs leads with striking buddleia perfume, kirsch, and aromatic intimations of oceanic salinity and crustacean savor. Juicy and vibrant; elegant, tenderly-fruited and polished; this is one of those wines that manages to enervate and caress at the same time, and in which bright ripe fruit is allied to a remarkable depth of elements than can only be explicated in animal and mineral terms. Overt suggestions of chalk and cherry pit lend the buoyant finish a measure of austerity, but it is so saliva-inducing and refreshing that severity is not a risk. It should last for at least 15 years. (DS)" (07/2010)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2005 Domaine Vincent Girardin Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru (92BH, 92ST). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Very ripe aromas of peach and apricot. Thick, large-scaled and very ripe but classically dry, with explosive mid-palate richness of fruit. This is fatter than the '06 but a bit less refined. Finishes with highly persistent stone fruit and spice flavors. These 2005 grand crus need a minimum of five or six years of cellaring. (ST)" (09/2007)

2004 Gerard Raphet Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru Vieilles Vignes
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2004 Gerard Raphet Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru Vieilles Vignes (90BH). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A gentle touch of wood serves as a background note for the somber and backward earthy black fruit aromas that lead to palate drenching flavors of solid depth and this really coats the palate with old vine sap. This is a dramatic '04 with such reserves of mid-palate sap that it completely buries the firm tannic spine. It is not notably complex at this point but that will almost certainly come with time in bottle. Perhaps the best raw material in the range. " (01/2007)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2000 Beau-Séjour Bécot, St-Emilion (92RP, 92WE, 91ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This full-bodied, modern-styled St.-Emilion offers a sensational perfume of smoky barbecue, jammy black currants, kirsch, licorice, and a touch of pain grille. Fleshy, savory, and full-bodied, it has shed much of its tannin, but still possesses abundant structure. It is an intense, modern-styled, mouthfilling, sumptuous, attention-getting wine to drink over the next decade. (RP)" (06/2010)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1999 Lynch-Bages, Pauillac (90RP, 90ST). Medium-bodied, savory and broad in the mouth with no hard edges, this fully mature effort is a somewhat underrated vintage for this estate. Enjoy it over the next decade. (RP)" (08/2011)

1998 Monbousquet, St-Émilion
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1998 Monbousquet, St-Émilion (94RP, (90-91ST), 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Yields of 28-30 hectoliters per hectare are among the lowest in St.-Emilion, which no doubt accounts for the wine's explosive richness. The final blend, 60% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 10% Cabernet Franc, was bottled unfined and unfiltered after 18 months in 100% new oak, with aging on the lees. It boasts a saturated plum/purple color in addition to an exotic bouquet of Asian spices, plum liqueur, prunes, and blackberries. Extremely full-bodied, unctuously-textured, structured, and well-defined, this spectacular achievement will drink well young, yet last for two decades. Anticipated maturity: 2003-2020.
