1995 Merryvale "Profile" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1995 Merryvale "Profile" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (91WS). 91 points Wine Spectator: "Young and vibrant, with a ripe, rich, lively core of currant, plum, anise, sage and cedar. This complex and concentrated wine is supported by a firm tannic backbone, but the flavors glide through on the finish. A blend of Cabernet, Merlot, Cabernet Franc. Best from 2001 through 2007." Of the 1996 Harlan "The Maiden" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The 1996 Maiden was performing even better this year. Of the 1995 Beringer "Private Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "Made from Bancroft Ranch (34%), Tre Colline (36%), Chabot (19%) and the rest from the St. Helena Home Vineyard, the 1995 is not as complex as the 1994, but it is loaded with fruit. Still an adolescent in its development, it possesses a dense purple color along with a big, sweet bouquet of blackberries and cassis, a youthful mouthfeel, good acidity, full body, abundant fruit and glycerin and a long, heady finish. This vintage was somewhat forgotten because of all the hype surrounding 1994, but it has turned out to be a great one for Bordeaux varietals in Napa. This stunn

1995 Robert Mondavi "Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 1995 Robert Mondavi "Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (93RP, 91ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "...There are 15,000-20,000 cases of Reserve Cabernet made, and in 1995, a quintessentially elegant style has been produced...It has great promise and raw materials, with superb fruit and richness, medium body, and subtle lead pencil notes to go along with black currant, mineral, and pain grille scents and flavors...still an exceptional California Cabernet Sauvignon made in a compellingly elegant, graceful style. Anticipated maturity: 2000-2018. (RP)" (12/1997)

1995 Pride Mountain "Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1995 Pride Mountain "Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98RP, 97WS). 98 points Robert Parker: "The 1995 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve has come of age now that it is in the bottle. This is the essence of North Coast Cabernet Sauvignon, offering port-like thickness and richness, a superb black currant, mineral, cedar, and pain grille-scented nose, full-bodied flavors of extraordinary intensity and overall balance, and a long, moderately tannic, multidimensional finish. Anticipated maturity: 2003-2025." (08/98) 97 points Wine Spectator: "Amazingly youthful and complex, with layers of vibrant black cherry, blackberry, currant, spice and cedar. Tightly focused on the fruit, with layers of concentration, the Cabernet flavors just keep unfolding. Just as impressive is the balance, as this is a big, rich, expressive wine with ripe, integrated tannins.—1995 California Cabernet retrospective." (Web 05)

Of the 1994 Peter Michael "Les Pavots" Knights Valley Bordeaux Blend,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The superb 1994 Les Pavots is, to my palate, the finest example of this wine Peter Michael has yet made. Since its bottling, this deep, saturated purple-colored wine has taken on a gorgeous nose of cassis intermixed with violets, licorice, and attractive spicy oak. Sweet, rich, and surprisingly showy for a Les Pavots, this medium to full-bodied wine possesses a luscious, multi-layered texture, outstanding depth, and attractively integrated tannin and acidity. When I tasted it, it was more evolved and delicious than I had anticipated given its recent bottling. (RP)" (12/1997)

Of the 1995 Pahlmeyer Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "Pahlmeyer's proprietary red table wine tends to be Cabernet Sauvignon-dominated (usually 80-85%) with small portions of Malbec, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot. The 1995 Proprietary Red Wine may be even better than the 96 point score I bestowed it. It is unquestionably among the top dozen 1995s. The wine boasts an explosive blackberry/blueberry/cassis-scented nose that has completely soaked up all the new oak in which it has been aged for the last 22 months. Purple/black in color, it exhibits fabulously extracted, layered black fruit flavors that coat the palate, offering a seamless texture and voluptuous impression." (12/1997)

Nice concentration of mature berry and spice fruit balanced by medium to firm, slightly chewy tannins and medium to high acidity. A more structured style of Opus. Very long finish. Drink now to 2020. 1995 Margaux, Margaux
Bid on this bottle of 1995 Margaux, Margaux (97WS, 95RP, 94ST). Wine Spectator: "This still broods seriously, with dark plum, currant and blackberry fruit, studded with charcoal, singed tobacco and cedar notes and backed by a serious grip of roasted earth. The gorgeously long finish is driven by old-school tannins, with the smoldering edge going on and on. A brick house of a Margaux, with more charcoal than graphite, more austerity than elegance and more power than refinement. (Web-2014)"

1995 Jacques-Frédéric Mugnier Musigny Grand Cru
Bid on this bottle of 1995 Jacques-Frédéric Mugnier Musigny Grand Cru (93RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Frederic Mugnier had just recently bottled his 1995s when I visited him in June, and he was reluctant to allow me to taste them. Two of the wines were showing admirably well and deserve to be mentioned. Visually, Mugnier's Musigny was slightly lighter in color than his Chambolle-Musigny Les Amoureuses, but its highly expressive bouquet of ripe cassis, wild blueberries, blackberries and flowers served as a prelude to the powerful flavors that would emerge. An explosive burst of layered red and black cherries as well as notes of violets, stones and sweet mushrooms can be found in this superb wine's fleshy, full-bodied and sublimely long flavor profile. Of the 1995 Domaine Joseph Roty Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru "Fontenys",Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar writes: "Deep ruby. Complex, pristine aromas of dark fruits, violet, licorice, smoke and flowers. Inky, violet-flavored fruit is juicy and extremely intense but tightly wound and almost painful today. Resounding licorice and dark berry flavors on the long aftertaste. Firm tannins are buried in fruit. (ST)" (03/1998)
