2010 Domaine Bouchard Père et Fils Meursault 1er Cru "Perrieres"
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2010 Domaine Bouchard Père et Fils Meursault 1er Cru "Perrieres" (93BH, 93ST). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Pale, bright yellow. Aromas and flavors of fresh peach and apricot, lemon-lime and crushed rock. Rich, dense, creamy and seamless, but with firm acidity and strong stony minerality leavening the wine's sweetness. Very complex and intense Perrieres with superb energy and length. Made from a blend of three parcels." (09/2012)

2008 Marcassin "Marcassin Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay
Bid on this bottle of 2008 Marcassin "Marcassin Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (100RP, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Utterly perfect, the 2008 Chardonnay Marcassin Estate is a dead-ringer for the 2007, but slightly richer and longer, as hard as that may be to believe. This extraordinary effort is unquestionably the 'Chardonnay of the Vintage.' In fact, it may be the 'Chardonnay of the Decade.' Brioche, nectarine, citrus and orange blossom notes intermixed with a liqueur of rocks, great acid, phenomenal concentration and staggering length result in a sublime Chardonnay that should drink well for 15+ years. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2005 Domaine Dauvissat Chablis Grand Cru "Les Clos" (95BH, 95ST, 93WE, 92WS). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Bright, pale yellow. Classic, soil-inflected aromas of citrus fruits, clove, wet stone and iodine. Suave on entry, then quite high-pitched in the middle, with superb purity to the flavors of grapefruit, lemon and minerals. At once fine-grained and taut, with captivating floral lift. Like the Preuses, this is most impressive today on the highly complex, uncommonly long finish, which throws off notes of sexy brown spices, juniper and white pepper, along with an intriguing saline quality. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Domaine Raveneau Chablis 1er Cru "Butteaux" (95RP, 95VN, 93BH, 91ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "I ordered a bottle of the 2010 Chablis 1er Cru les Butteaux at the impeccable Au Fil du Zinc restaurant in Chablis and immediately grabbed my pen to scribble a tasting note. This is such a scintillating Chablis, one that encapsulates everything great about the 2010 vintage. The nose is mineral through and through--imagine getting down on your hands and knees and just inhaling limestone after a shower. The palate continues that tensile, mineral-driven theme. It is incredibly tense, perhaps benefiting from a slight, but pleasant reduction towards the finish, with awesome length and precision. What a fantastic Butteaux from Domaine Raveneau. Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Mature white burg aromas plus a hint of botrytis and lovely complexity plus solid acidity. This is an extremely nice older Pucelles of solid richness and mouth coating sap that is still holding well though it's beginning to tire now. I would be inclined to drink this over the next few years unless you prefer your whites very soft." (02/2003)

Still vibrant and fresh with little in the way of evolution since I last had it, the 1990 remains a stratospheric, towering Champagne. The flavors are vibrant and finely cut, with plenty of citrus, lemon peel, mineral and white flower nuances." (09/2015)

2007 Domaine Roulot Meursault 1er Cru "Les Charmes"
Bid on this bottle of 2007 Domaine Roulot Meursault 1er Cru "Les Charmes" (93BH, 92ST, 90RP). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Unlike this wine in 750 ml (see there review herein), there was no touch of unabsorbed sulfur on the nose though there was a mild note of reduction that still allowed the aromas of acacia blossom, hazelnut and brioche to be appreciated. There is good richness to the detailed, textured and silky medium-bodied flavors that caress the palate on the minty and still noticeably tight finish. Not surprisingly in magnum format this is still very much on the way up so I would recommend giving this at least another 5 to 10 years of cellar time first." (12/2015)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2007 Chardonnay Three Sisters Vineyard (a terrific site owned by the Martinelli family) reveals a straw color with a greenish hue (always a positive sign) and a wonderful citrus oil, lemon blossom and crushed rock-scented perfume with a subtle hint of oak as well as a distinctive minerality. Buttered pears and minerals are found in its nose. A wine of superb breadth, this seamless, medium-bodied offering coats the palate with ripe apples, spiced pears, and honeyed minerals. It is pure, powerful, and reveals a lengthy, flavorful finish. Dominique Lafon is on fire, in a zone, on top of his game. He’s never made better wines, and he improves with each passing vintage. Knockout nose offers pure botrytis aromas of orange oil, apricot, clove, marzipan, chocolate and mocha. Extraordinarily thick and honeyed but with bracing acids leavening the flavors of marzipan, coconut, brown sugar and orange rind. Higher-toned than the gewurztraminer, with a spirity suggestion of Gran Marnier. Krankl was about to bottle this. I have rarely tasted such thoroughly botrytized chardonnay." (07/2005)

Wine & Spirits: "Domaine Leflaive includes 7.56 acres of Les Pucelles in three blocks, with many vines dating back to the 1950s and '60s. Those vines, saved from botrytis by September's north wind, captured the sunshine at the end of a long, damp season and transformed it into bold, spicy energy in the wine. Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2012 Dominique Lafon Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru "Champs Gains". Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Tasted blind at the Burgundy 2012 tasting in Beaune. The 2012 Puligny Montrachet 1er Cru Champ Gains shows a little reduction on the nose, albeit in an appealing manner, with endearing mineral scents developing with five to ten minutes in the glass. The palate is fresh and tensile, the acidity quite high and forming a very citric, rather sharp finish that needs to calm down, which I suspect it will if you can afford this four to five years in bottle. The refinement continues onto the pungently mineral-driven flavors that possess a bit more overall size, weight and mid-palate concentration than the Demoiselles, all wrapped in a cool, classy and hugely persistent finish. This is positively Zen-like and this should amply repay up to a decade of cellaring, perhaps even a bit more. This is class in a glass." (06/2015)

Its spice, star anise, toasted oak, and mineral-scented nose gives way to a rich, broad, powerful character. 2011 Domaine Ramonet Montrachet Grand Cru
Bid on this bottle of 2011 Domaine Ramonet Montrachet Grand Cru (97BH, 95WS). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "The strikingly complex, cool and reserved nose of mostly citrus, stone, floral and white orchard fruit aromas still displays plenty of wood that has not yet been integrated but the density is certainly here to allow that to happen even though it may require 3 to 5 years to do so. In the context of the 2011 vintage this is a superbly well-concentrated wine as the imposingly scaled flavors are a breathtaking combination of size, weight, tension and borderline painful intensity. Despite all of the volume, there is absolutely no heaviness, indeed the acid support is such that this remains impeccably well-balanced on the hugely long and palate staining finish. While it is of course still in the early days for the vintage this is absolutely a strong candidate for the wine of the vintage." (10/2014)

The Charmes is quite big and broad-shouldered on the palate, with great power and intensity from start to finish. James Suckling: "A moderately riper yet extremely tight nose of iodine, salt and intense sea shore aromas complement to perfection the rich, full and powerful flavors that are a big step up in weight and power as they etch themselves into the palate on the broad-shouldered and muscular finish. This isn't a wine of finesse but as Chablis goes, this is a bruiser of superb intensity that embodies the phrase "jus de pierre" (rock juice)." (10/2009)

This is exceptionally well-concentrated with fine phenolic ripeness to the very broad-shouldered flavors that possess outstanding power if not quite the intensity or the minerality of the Chevalier. The explosive and bone dry finish compensates however by being even longer and more complex. Bid on this bottle of 1989 Krug "Clos de Mesnil" Brut Blanc de Blancs Champagne (OWC - 96RP, 94WS) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1989 Clos du Mesnil, from a warmer year, makes for a fascinating contrast to the cool inward 1988. It is a bigger, fatter wine that caresses the palate with layers of expansive, generous fruit. Sweet scents of caramel, hazelnuts and honey add complexity to the fruit. Despite its burnished, textured fruit, the 1989 remains light on its feet and superbly well-balanced but it is at, or close to, peak. To put things in perspective, the 1989 was harvested at the beginning of September -- the 7th and 8th to be exact -- while the 1988 was harvested between September 30th and October 2nd. There is good volume and verve to the attractively, even seductively textured medium weight flavors that possess really lovely intensity along with fine acid support on the strikingly persistent finish. In the classic mode of a fine Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet this isn't particularly powerful or concentrated but rather it is a wine of harmony and grace albeit one with terrific potential." 2012 Domaine Ramonet Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Domaine Ramonet Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru (94BH, 92WS). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "This has what all of the best 2012s have, which is to say a brilliant texture. To be clear, it's not about density per se though that is part of it. Rather it's the way that the density interacts with the acidity such that the flavors deliver both richness and delineation, provided of course that the proper serving temperature is respected because if not the same beguiling texture just becomes heavy. The nose offers up the telltale Ramonet hint of mint along with lovely floral and spice nuances to the mostly white orchard fruit and lemon skin scents that are trimmed in just enough wood to notice. There is fine concentration to the vibrant, cool and ultra-pure medium-bodied flavors that possess that beguiling texture, all wrapped in a palate coating and strikingly long finish. The other seriously impressive aspect to this wine is that even though it will cert

2009 Marcassin "Marcassin Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2009 Marcassin "Marcassin Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (98RP, 97WS, 90VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Light gold in color, with an extraordinary nose of poached pears, citrus honey and a touch of orange rind, the 2009 Chardonnay Marcassin Vineyard has beautiful fruit, a full-bodied mouthfeel, penetrating acids and an underlying minerality and richness. The finish goes on for a good 40-45 seconds. This is sensational Chardonnay and very much in keeping with this vineyard. Drink now-2020. (RP)" (08/2015)

1998 Domaine Leroy Corton Charlemagne Grand Cru
Bid on this bottle of 1998 Domaine Leroy Corton Charlemagne Grand Cru. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "I have said it so many times that it may seem redundant, but if you missed it in my 1990 tome, Burgundy, Lalou Bize-Leroy stands virtually alone at the top of Burgundy’s quality hierarchy. Because she is a perfectionist, and because she has had the courage to produce wines from low yields and bottle them naturally, without fining or filtration, she has been scorned by many Burgundy negociants, and even by the proprietors of other top domaines. Not only are they jealous, they are frightened of Bize-Leroy because they fear increasing pressure for lower yields and bio-dynamic farming. Anyone who loves great Burgundy, must realize that her wines embarrass much of what is produced in Burgundy. Robert M. PARKER from the “Guide Robert Parker French Wines”, 1997"

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2011 Henri Germain Meursault "Le Limozin" ((89-91BH)). Allen Meadows - Burghound: " *Outstanding, Top Value* This is ever-so-slightly riper with aromas of spiced pear and white flowers that are trimmed in barely discernible oak. There is fine delineation to the vibrant and solidly complex medium-bodied flavors that terminate in a clean, dry and balanced finish. As is usually the case with Limozin, this is a generous wine of refinement. Recommended." (06/2013)

Of the 2001 Peter Michael "Cuvee Indigène" Sonoma County Chardonnay,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The blockbuster 2001 Chardonnay Cuvee Indigene possesses an oily, unctuous texture in addition to smoky, leesy, peach, honeysuckle, and lemon zest aromatics, and dense, deep, full-bodied flavors with great texture, richness, and purity. There is a beguiling texture to the opulent and very silky middle weight flavors that are underpinned by a sufficiently good level of acidity so as to remain quite vibrant and refreshing on the balanced and harmonious finish. Wine & Spirits: "Henriot’s domaine in Chablis includes three acres of vines on the steep, south-facing slopes of Vaudésir. The soils are predominantly chalky clay, mixed with Kimmeridgian limestone. The wine has the beautiful fresh scent of chamomile, a bright, pure expression of chardonnay that carries its chalky floral richness all the way through to a generous end. It’s powerful yet discreet, building layers of flavor intensity and seeming to only get fresher over the course of several days." (04/2014)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2010 Marc Morey Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru "Morgeot" Blanc (91BH). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Here too the nose is ripe to the point where there are exotic yellow fruit aromas and a touch of honey and this honeyed character continues onto the rich, concentrated and relatively powerful flavors that possess an abundance of dry extract. Despite all of the opulence there is good acid support and fine intensity that allows this to retain a good sense of balance. Moreover the length is outstanding and while this is not a wine of refinement (Morgeot rarely is), there is excellent complexity. Worth a look if you like big and very rich whites." (06/2012)

There is impressive size, weight and power to the big-bodied flavors that possess an abundance of dry extract that imparts a sappy character to the explosively long and saline finish. Vinous: "Exotic white flowers, ginger, white pepper and lychee are some of the many notes that emerge from the 2011 Criots-Batard-Montrachet, a wine that dazzles from start to finish. The 2011 is pure seduction. Captivating aromatics, beautifully layered fruit and fabulous persistence are the hallmarks. Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2011 J.-F. Coche-Dury Bourgogne Blanc (90RP). The palate is crisp on the entry with a fine line of acidity, remaining very strict with plenty of fresh lime and dried apricot furnishing the finish. This is precise and very pure, a sprightly white Burgundy to enjoy in its flush of youth. Drink now-2018. (NM)" (04/2014)

Bid on this bottle of 1996 Domaine Leflaive Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru "Les Pucelles" (96VN, 95RP, 95WS). Vinous: "The opening flight of Puligny-Montrachet Les Pucelles from Domaine Leflaive was utterly staggering. The 2002 was seamless, ripe, opulent and intricately woven, with a kaleidoscopic, vivid expression of fruit that was breathtaking. The 1996 showed more advanced notes of smoke, tar and licorice, all wrapped around a massive core of fruit. It was a profound Pucelles. The 1989 was soft, subtle and delicate, with pretty, minty notes that added freshness on the finish. (AG)" (03/2010)

Penetrating, vineyard-typical flavors of spices, minerals and wet stone. Dense but rather uncompromising wine that avoids dryness. Rather light on its feet. Finishes with a note of butterscotch.
