2013 Saxum "Broken Stones" Paso Robles Rhône Blend
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2013 Saxum "Broken Stones" Paso Robles Rhône Blend ((96-98RP), (92-94VN)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The Syrah-dominated 2013 Syrah Broken Stones always incorporates small amounts of Petite Sirah (22% in 2013), Grenache, and Mourvedre and will see 18-20 months in mostly new French oak. Inky colored and mineral-laced, with the chalkiness that's so common from these limestone soils, it gives up lots of red and black fruits, liquid violets, licorice, and meatiness to go with a full-bodied, nicely structured, layered profile on the palate. Coming after the tannic 2012s, you really see the improvement in the tannin quality here. (JD)" (08/2015)

Of the 2011 Peter Michael "Le Caprice" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The 2011 Pinot Noir La Caprice, which was harvested before any damaging rains arrived and is above the fog line on the Sonoma Coast, exhibits classic notes of black raspberries, graphite, flowers, red and black fruits, spice and forest floor. Not quite as rich or dense as the 2010, or as structured and chewy as the 2009, the evolved, seductive 2011 should provide enormous pleasure over the next 10-12 years. (RP)" (12/2013)

2010 Kistler "Trenton Roadhouse" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2010 Kistler "Trenton Roadhouse" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (94RP, 94ST, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Kistler’s 2010 Chardonnay Trenton Roadhouse is one of the bigger, richer wines in this lineup, but at the same time, there is a huge center of minerality running in the fruit. Orange blossoms, nectarines and tropical all make an appearance in this striking, totally exciting Chardonnay. At times, the Trenton Roadhouse appears to have the structure and frame of a red wine, yet all the elements are in the right place. The 2010 is a wonderfully complete, exciting wine from Steve Kistler. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2018. (AG)" (04/2013)

Of the 2010 Carlisle "James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Syrah,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "Smoke, tar, incense, licorice and game literally explode from the glass in the 2010 Syrah James Berry Vineyard. A deep, imposing wine, the 2010 shows the more masculine side of Syrah in its flavor and structure. Big tannins frame the broad, explosive finish. This isn’t a subtle wine by any means, but it is full of personality. The James Berry Syrah was made with about 17% whole clusters. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2025. (AG)" (04/2013)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Pinot Noir The Haven is beautifully focused from start to finish. Subtle floral notes are woven throughout a core of expressive dark red and black fruit. There is plenty of generosity and mid-palate juiciness. This is another of the more fruit-driven, juicy wines in 2009, but there is also plenty of underlying minerality to provide support. Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2014 Aubert "Larry Hyde and Sons Vineyard" Carneros Chardonnay ((95-97RP), 95VN). The wine reveals terrific white peach and honeysuckle notes along with some quince and marmalade. Rich, full, powerful and long, it is a stunner that should drink well for 10-15 years. 2001 Bond "Matriarch" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2001 Bond "Matriarch" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (94RP, 94WE, 91ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A great introduction to Bond's style is the 2001 Matriarch, which Bob Levy calls, 'our elegant leftovers.' This is a three-vineyard blend of the juice that was not rich or concentrated enough to be included in the single vineyard bottlings. Beautifully made, with wonderfully sweet notes of smoke, lead pencil shavings, black cherries, and cassis, an opulent texture, impressive concentration, low acidity, and silky tannin, it possesses more up-front charm and accessibility than its bigger siblings. 2013 Scarecrow "M. Étain" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2013 Scarecrow "M. Étain" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95RP, 94VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2013 M. Etain Cabernet Sauvignon, which is hardly a second wine by any means, offers beautiful blackcurrant fruit with some cedar wood/sandalwood notes, an opulent, full-bodied mouthfeel, stunning purity, and that layered texture that is so enticing. The wine has a beautiful opaque purple color, hints of graphite, blueberry and blackberry fruit, a touch of licorice and the soil undertones that some would say are part of the so-called "Rutherford dust" scenario, although that's debatable. This wine has the sweetness and opulence to be drunk young, but won't hit its prime for at least another 5-8 years and keep for 20-30. (RP)" (12/2015)

Layer after layer of flavor saturates the palate in this opulent, full-throttle Cabernet Sauvignon. The 2007 possesses dazzling textural richness, depth and sheer intensity. Purists may prefer more structured vintages, but for a producer known for such slow maturing wines, the 2007 is a huge pleasure to taste today. Anticipated maturity: 2017-2037. (AG)" (12/2011)

Of the 2006 Leonetti Columbia Valley Merlot,Wine Enthusiast writes: " *Top 100 Wines of 2008* This bright, aromatic, vivid wine opens with a bowlful of berries and cherries. There is plenty of acid under the ripe fruit, which takes center stage at the moment. The signifcant additon of Carmenere (from the Seven Hills Vineyard) adds black pepper to the engaging mix of flavors. Despite its youth, the flavors persist for a remarkably long finish. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2001 Spottswoode "Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95RP, 94WE, 93ST, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This is a beautiful wine, although more recent vintages may ultimately prove to be even better, particularly the 2007. This blend of 95% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Cabernet Franc, from one of Napa’s prestigious sites on the valley floor tucked behind the town of St. Helena, has a dense blue/purple color and a beautifully sweet nose of spring flowers intermixed with raspberry jam, blueberries and black currants. Some licorice and subtle oak are followed by a quintessentially elegant yet substantial wine with sweet tannins, medium to full body and a seamless texture. Drinkable already, the wine will continue to offer the more elegant, complex, evolved style of Napa Cabernet Sauvignon produced in 2001 for at least another 15-20 years. (RP)" (06/2011)

2005 Aubert "Lucia Abreu Vineyard" Howell Mountain Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 2005 Aubert "Lucia Abreu Vineyard" Howell Mountain Bordeaux Blend ((89-91RP)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2005 Proprietary Red Lucia Abreu Vineyard seems to have closed down since I tasted it last year even though it is still not in bottle. A blend of 47% Merlot, 29% Cabernet Sauvignon, and the rest Cabernet Franc, the wine has a dense ruby/purple color, wonderful purity, but jagged tannins and some austerity kept my score from going any higher. It exhibits more texture than last year, but I suspect I caught it on a bad day, and I will reevaluate it in 12 months. (RP)" (12/2007)

2011 Sine Qua Non "Dark Blossom" Grenache
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2011 Sine Qua Non "Dark Blossom" Grenache (97RP, 97VN, (93-95ST)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2011 Grenache Dark Blossom is probably the best Grenache-based blend in the vintage. A blend of 75% Grenache, 12.5% Syrah, 11.5% Mourvedre and a splash of Roussanne (fermented with 11% whole clusters), it has a perfumed, complex style, with notions of black raspberry, cassis, dried flowers, white pepper and licorice giving way to a full-bodied, layered and seamless mouthfeel. There’s no shortage of fruit here, and while it’s hard to resist now, it has enough tannin to warrant short-term cellaring. It should knock it out of the park through 2029. (JD)" (08/2014)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Araujo’s spectacular 2002 Cabernet Sauvignon Eisele Vineyard is a 1,700-case blend of 96% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot from a vineyard tucked in the lower hillsides of northeastern Napa Valley, not far from the quaint town of Calistoga. Araujo has enjoyed an incredible string of top-notch vintages from 2001 through 2005 and again from 2008 through 2010. Extremely youthful at age ten, the 2002 is a candidate for perfection. Its dense blue/purple hue is followed by abundant aromas of cassis, incense, crushed rocks and spring flowers. Full-bodied and opulent as well as pure, rich and authoritative, with abundant but beautifully integrated tannins, this opulent, plush 2002 can be drunk now or cellared for another 20-25 years. Bid on this bottle of 2005 Colgin "Cariad" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (100RP, 97VN, 95WE, 94JS, 94ST, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The blend that Colgin fashions from three vineyards owned by David Abreu (Madrona, Thorevilos and Howell Mountain) is called Cariad. The 2005 Proprietary Red Cariad consists of 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, 11% Cabernet Franc and 9% Petit Verdot. Offering up spring flowers and garden aromas, sweet blueberry and black raspberry fruit, a touch of charcoal embers, graphite and background toast, it is fleshy and full-bodied, and again, meriting a three-digit score. This is absolutely remarkable wine. As it sat in the glass, it developed some rather compelling chocolaty, licorice undertones. This is a great classic to drink over the next 20-25 years. By the way, for those interested, the cooperage generally chosen is dominated by Taransaud barrels, but there are at least four different coopers. (RP)" (06/2015)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2006 Sine Qua Non "Raven Series" California Grenache (98RP, 97WS, 95ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This blend of 90% Grenache and 10% Syrah, largely from the 11 Confessions Vineyard, with a small amount from Bien Nacido, spent 21 months in barrel. It is really strutting its stuff now, and showing even better than my original note predicted in August of 2009. The wine has loads of meat, licorice, smoke, charcoal and graphite, as well as huge peppery, blackberry and black cherry notes. Composed of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Petit Verdot, it is a sumptuous, virtually perfect expression of wine with an inky/purple color, beautiful floral aromas intermixed with sweet, pure black currants and hints of licorice as well as subtle oak. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "While a lot of the 2012s came in near the bottom of the barrel score, that wasn't the case with the 2012 Syrah Bionic Frog and this beauty flirts with perfection. Inky colored and purple to the rim, it offers extraordinary notes of black fruits, wild mushrooms, smoked earth and salty minerality. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2013 Realm "The Bard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP, 93VN, 92WS). There are 950 cases of this extraordinary wine, which has it all. Notes of graphite, blackberries, roasted espresso and chocolate are followed by a wine of enormous, massive extraction, richness and intensity, but no hard edges. This seamless work of vinous haute couture is staggeringly rich, very long, but not the least bit heavy or overbearing. Bid on this bottle of 2007 Harlan Estate Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (OWC - 100RP, 97JS, 97ST, 96WS) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The prodigious 2007 Harlan Estate reminds me of a hypothetical blend of the 2002 with a touch of the controversial 1997. Dense plum/purple-colored with sweet aromas of barbecue smoke, blueberries, blackberries, cassis, licorice, hot rocks and subtle oak, it is a splendidly opulent, pure wine with a skyscraper-like texture as well as stunningly deep fruit that expands gracefully across the palate. The finish lasts nearly a full minute. Because of its overwhelming richness and sweet tannins, this brilliant wine seems to be approachable now, but I suspect further nuances and complexity will emerge after 4-5 years in the bottle. This wine will still be going strong at age 25-30. Like the offerings from its sister estate, Bond, these Harlan Estate offerings are uncompromisingly brilliant examples of Napa viticulture and winemaking at its fines

2011 Marcassin "Marcassin Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2011 Marcassin "Marcassin Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (92RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2011 Pinot Noir Marcassin Vineyard has sweet berry fruit, roasted herbs, incense, a touch of background wood spice and foresty notes all present in this medium-bodied, slightly lighter style of Pinot Noir from Marcassin. This was a challenging vintage, but the wines turned out outstanding, and very Burgundian. The alcohol is 13.9%, which is one of their lowest sugar levels. The wine presents a very attractive, moderately intense perfume, good acidity and excellent precision. (RP)" (08/2015)

James Suckling: "This is shows complex aromas of chili, red tile and red currant aromas. Full-bodied, dense and powerful. It is so intense and rich yet remains agile and fresh. Austere tannins give this wine form and tension. Lively and captivating. Beautiful now but be patient. Better in 2021." (05/2016)

2013 Cliff Lede "Poetry" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (OWC)
Bid on this magnum lot of 2013 Cliff Lede "Poetry" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (OWC - 100RP, 93VN) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Poetry reveals a rather inky, bluish/purple color. A blend of 95% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Cabernet Franc and the rest Merlot and Petit Verdot, this wine is super-youthful and still tastes somewhat like a barrel sample. It’s bursting with upside potential. Inky purple to the rim, with notes of crème de cassis, black cherry liqueur, licorice, spice and a touch of vanilla, this is a full-bodied, concentrated and an utterly profound wine that may represent the greatest wine that Cliff Lede has made to date. Forget it for another 5-6 years and drink it over the following 30 years. (RP)" (12/2015)

2013 Dalla Valle "Maya" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this bottle of 2013 Dalla Valle "Maya" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (100RP, 97VN, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The flagship wine, and one of the first in Napa Valley to emphasize the fabulous potential of Cabernet Franc in specific terroirs, is the 2013 Maya Proprietary Red Wine. This wine usually spends about 22 months in new oak and normally has anywhere from 45% to as much as 60% Cabernet Franc blended with the estate’s Cabernet Sauvignon. The 2013 could well be the finest they’ve made to date, and that includes a lot of profound wines. An incredibly complex nose of charcoal embers, blackberry and cassis, some blueberries as well as white flowers, and a touch of forest floor is followed by a full-bodied wine with sweet, well-integrated tannins, a multi-dimensional mouthfeel, and a finish that goes on for close to a minute ... Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Fortuna Vineyard is perfection! This extraordinary wine offers up notes of creme de cassis, graphite, truffles, blueberries and blackberries as well as a colossal mouthfeel with no sense of heaviness, layer upon layer of fruit and glycerin, astonishing purity and a finish that lasts 50 seconds. A magnificent effort that should turn out to be one of the great modern classics of Napa Valley, it should age effortlessly for two to three decades. (RP)" (10/2013)

Bid on this bottle of 2012 Caymus "40th Anniversary" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1L) (96RP, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "I am old enough to remember Chuck Wagner and his father, who I first met at Caymus in the late seventies. This is clearly one of Napa Valley’s iconic wineries, as well as one that, amazingly, never went through a bad patch. Obviously, no matter which generation is in the driver’s seat (or should I say tractor’s seat), Caymus Vineyard knows how to deliver flavor and deliciousness. (RP)" (10/2014)

2010 Saxum "James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2010 Saxum "James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (97RP, 96VN, 94ST, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Sporting a vibrant ruby, semi-opaque color, the 2010 James Berry Vineyard is the most tight, backward version of this cuvee that I can recall. A blend of 52% Grenache, 26% Mourvedre, and 22% Syrah, it has a decidedly savory bouquet of blackberry liqueur, kirsch, violets, bouquet garni, ground pepper, and graphite. Full-bodied and layered on the palate, with brilliant mid-palate concentration, superb freshness, and masses of tannin, this brilliant Rhone blend from Paso Robles will stand toe-to-toe with the best wines out there, but it is not for those seeking instant gratification and will require 4-5 years of bottle age ... Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2011 Kosta Browne "Gap's Crown Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (94CG, 93VN, 93WS, 92ST). Connoisseurs Guide: " *Two Stars* If tilting a touch more to ripeness than most of its North Coast kin, this bottling does not err to softness, and its big-shouldered style comes with lots of firm muscle. It is a big, well-extracted, very substantial Pinot, to be sure, with abundant flavors of raspberries and sweet cherries, and it carries a strong imprint of rich oak. Its lengthy flavors are underpinned by a firm streak of tannin, and it ends with the kind of finishing grip that predicts a very good future." (10/2013)

2010 Carlisle Sonoma County Syrah
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2010 Carlisle Sonoma County Syrah (90RP, 89WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Syrah, from two sites in Bennett Valley, is a stunning value in handcrafted, artisan Syrah. Layers of cool, mineral-infused dark fruit caress the palate in this delineated, nuanced wine. Vibrant and intensely perfumed, the 2010 impresses for its overall balance and harmony. This is a relatively forward, juicy style of Syrah, but all the elements are in the right place. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2020. (AG)" (04/2013)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A crisp, elegant yet powerful, mineral-dominated effort, the 2005 Chardonnay Vine Hill Vineyard is reticent at present, exhibiting scents of lemon oil, white currants, peaches, and orange rind. With striking intensity, great elegance, richness, precision, and delineation, this beautiful Chardonnay brought to mind a top-notch French Corton-Charlemagne. (RP)" (12/2006)

Bid on this bottle of 2005 Sine Qua Non "Atlantis Fe2O3-1a,b,c" California Syrah (100RP, (94-95ST), 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The perfect 2005 Syrah Atlantis Fe 203-1a,b,c is a blend of 93% Syrah,5% Grenache, and 2% Viognier, with 25% whole clusters... An extraordinarily flowery nose interwoven with scents of blueberries, blackberries, incense, and graphite soars from the glass. Although not the biggest or most concentrated Syrah Krankl has made, it is one of the most nuanced, elegant, and complex. It remains full-bodied, but builds incrementally on the palate, and comes across as elegant and delicate, especially when compared to many California Syrahs. Nevertheless, the intensity is mind-boggling, and the finish lasts for nearly a minute. (RP)" (06/2008)

2006 Littorai "Les Larmes" Anderson Valley Pinot Noir
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2006 Littorai "Les Larmes" Anderson Valley Pinot Noir. Praise from Prince of Pinot: "Composed of declassified fruit from Cerise and Savoy vineyards... Subdued but very pleasing scents of cherries, hay and white pepper. Admirable richness with bright flavors of cherries and red apples flanked by bright acidity. Smoothly textured and easy to drink. I call the Les Larmes bottlings, which are a blend from the Anderson Valley appellation, 'Baby Littorai' wines, as they are perfectly good daily drinkers that will show well at the table and demand no contemplation." (6/2009) Allen Meadows on the producer: "Founded in 1993 by Heidi and Ted Lemon, they began farming biodynamically in 2001 and recently completed construction of their new winery. Littorai's philosophy of winemaking is clearly inspired by Lemon's many years working for some of the top domaines in France." (10/2009)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The winery flagship is the 2008 Reserve, a blend 69% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Petit Verdot, 11% Merlot, and 9% Cabernet Franc aged in barrel, some of it new, for 23 months. Sandalwood, exotic spices, herbs, violets, and assorted black fruits inform the nose of a layered, succulent, plush, bordering on opulent wine that is beautifully balanced and already complex.
