2013 Aubert "UV-SL Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2013 Aubert "UV-SL Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (96VN, 94RP). Vinous: "The 2013 Pinot Noir UV-SL Vineyard is the most opulent and extroverted of these Pinots, but it is also the most compelling. Endowed with huge fruit, and an explosive mid-palate, the UV-SL captures the very best of this style of Pinot. Layers of dark, inky fruit built to a crescendo of intensity and juiciness. Hints of lavender, spices and violets wrap around the finish, with plenty of support from beams of underlying tannin." (01/2015)

2013 Saxum "Paderewski Vineyard" Paso Robles Red Blend
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2013 Saxum "Paderewski Vineyard" Paso Robles Red Blend ((96-99RP), 94VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Coming from Bill and Liz Armstrong's Paderewski Vineyard on the southwest side of Paso, the 2013 Paderewski Vineyard is a blend of 34% Mourvèdre, 33% Zinfandel, 13% Petite Sirah, 12% Syrah and 8% Tempranillo, and is the first time Mourvedre (which is a variety Justin is more and more excited about) has trumped Zinfandel in the blend. It offers sensational notes of Bing cherries, blueberries, peppery herbs and lots of chalky minerality, full-bodied richness and a sexy, seamless and ethereal texture that carries plenty of building tannin. I underlined "Awesome Texture" three times in my note. Given the tannin, give it a year or so after release and enjoy bottles through 2025. (JD)" (08/2015)

2008 Kosta Browne Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2008 Kosta Browne Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (91CG, 90ST, 90WS). Connoisseurs Guide: "Gregariously fruity with highlights of raspberries and cranberries intermixed with its main themes of fresh, juicy cherries, this one may arguably be criticized for being just a touch on the simple, side but no one will find it lacking in depth. It is so young that it cannot only get better with time in bottle, but we admit that its no-holds-barred richness and accessible style makes near-term resistance next to impossible." (06/2010)

1985 Ridge Vineyards "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 1985 Ridge Vineyards "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon (95ST, 94RP). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Medium-deep, amber-edged red. Superripe aromas of blackcurrant, plum, cedar, game and truffle; at once less complex and less evolved than the '84. Large-scaled, dense and fat; bigger and broader than the '84, with a compelling gamey sweetness. Rather massive in the context of Monte Bello, and developing slowly. Finishes very long, with big but fine tannins that spread out to suffuse the palate. (ST)" (10/2000)

2012 Quilceda Creek "Galitzine Vineyard" Red Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Quilceda Creek "Galitzine Vineyard" Red Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon (97RP, 94+VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Another classic Cabernet Sauvignon from the Golitzin's, the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Galitzine Vineyard comes from the dry, windswept Red Mountain AVA and is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. It's a big, structured effort that offers lots of minerality and dusty earth in its blackcurrants, black cherry liqueur, smoked earth, licorice and charred-meat-driven bouquet. Firm, focused and tight, this has closed down substantially since I tasted it from barrel, yet has serious concentration, lots of tannin and a great finish. (JD)" (06/2015)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2013 Peter Michael "La Carriere" Knights Valley Chardonnay (98RP, 96JS, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2013 Chardonnay La Carrière is unbelievable. Production was almost 900 cases less than in 2014, and you can see it in the concentration of honeysuckle, orange marmalade, white currant, white peach and mineral notes. This magnificent, full-bodied Chardonnay should also last at least a decade. (RP)" (12/2015)

2012 Sine Qua Non "In the Abstract" Proprietary White Blend
Bid on this bottle of 2012 Sine Qua Non "In the Abstract" Proprietary White Blend (97RP, 95JS, 94VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "In the same league, the 2012 In The Abstract is a classic Sine Qua Non white blend of 37% Chardonnay, 31% Roussanne, 16% Petite Manseng and 16% Viognier. Coming from roughly equal parts Bien Nacido, Cumulus and Eleven Confessions vineyard, it spent just under 19 months in 48% used barrels (1-4 years old), 27% new French oak and the balance in concrete eggs. It sports a slightly darker color than the Chardonnay and offers up incredible notes of caramelized peaches, poached apples, white flowers and crushed rock that flow seamlessly to a full-bodied, decadent, yet classy and graceful feel on the palate. It’s a classic effort that doesn’t pull any punches, yet also never seems hot, heavy or puts a foot wrong. Enjoy this beauty over the coming decade or more. (JD)" (08/2014)

2009 Roth Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2009 Roth Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (92W&S). Wine & Spirits writes: "From the Roth Estate vineyard in the hills at the south end of the Alexander Valley, this is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (83 percent) with Merlot and one percent of Franc. It’s powerfully structured and somewhat inaccessible when first opened, with the floral black fruit character of pomegranate and a savory earthiness. The flavors gain clarity and focus with two days of air, turning mouthwatering, zesty and plump. It’s an elegant Cabernet, the first vintage blended by Jesse Katz at Roth; featured in our 30 under 30 list (Fall 2011), Katz works with David Ramey on the wines at Roth and Lancaster. " (06/2011)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2009 Rhys "Horseshoe Vineyard" Santa Cruz Mountains Pinot Noir (94RP, 94ST, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Pinot Noir Horseshoe Vineyard is the most virile wine in this lineup. Black cherries, mint, iron and crushed rocks come together in this dramatic, generous Pinot. The fleshiness of the fruit nearly covers the tannins, but they are lurking beneath the wine’s considerable fleshiness. Menthol, pine and a host of other dark, balsamic notes wrap around the insistent, powerful finish. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2024. (AG)" (08/2011)

1998 Pride Mountain "Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1998 Pride Mountain "Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95RP, 92CG, 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: " The opaque purple-colored 1998 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve is extraordinarily full-bodied and powerful, with unbelievable finesse and harmony for a wine of such great extract and richness. Pure creme de cassis intermixed with licorice, minerals, smoke, and incense is accompanied by sweet tannin, well-integrated acidity, wood, and alcohol, and a stupendous finish lasting nearly 45 seconds. The wine is approachable, but should age easily for two decades. The limited production Reserve cuvee (450 cases) is an expression of California winemaking at its most compelling." (06/2002)

Bid on this bottle of 2005 Marcassin "Three Sisters Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (96RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "...the 2005 Chardonnay Three Sisters is showing even better with another year of bottle age. With extraordinary minerality, wet stones, almost a liqueur of rocks and honeyed citrus as well as nectarines and orange blossoms, this wine is stunningly rich and builds incrementally on the palate It finishes with zesty acidity, great purity, and superb intensity. This is a wine of extraordinary gravitas and should drink nicely for 10 or more years...Little changes under the firm’s leadership of Helen Turley and her husband John Wetlaufer (now married 42 years), and as someone raised in Maryland, I am proud to say they were schooled at the renowned St. John’s College in Annapolis, Maryland. 2008 Sine Qua Non "The Duel" California Grenache
Bid on this bottle of 2008 Sine Qua Non "The Duel" California Grenache (97RP, 95ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Sine Qua Non’s 2008 Grenache Estate The Duel boasts extraordinary richness, power and sheer depth. Tobacco, leather, mint and spices are woven together in this large-scaled Grenache. There is plenty of intensity here, but the 2008 has just a touch less aromatic definition than the very finest wines at Sine Qua Non. I imagine some of that may be the result of extended aging in oak. The 2008 is 82% Grenache, 14% Syrah, 2% Viognier and 1% Roussanne, all from the Eleven Confessions Vineyard in Santa Rita Hills. Bid on this bottle of 2009 Spottswoode "Family Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (97RP, 96WS, 94ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Another super-impressive effort, the 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon boasts stunning depth and sheer power. Black currants, pencil shavings, mocha, incense and melted road tar are all woven together gracefully in this powerful, opulent wine. The tannins remain firm, so another few years of cellaring is a must. There is serious density and sheer power to burn. Today the 2009 is a touch less vibrant than the 2010, but more overt and voluptuous. A brooding, muscular finish rounds things out beautifully. Bid on this bottle of 2012 Stag's Leap Wine Cellars "Cask 23" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP, 93WE, 93WS, 91VN). Dense ruby/purple to the rim, beautiful blackberry and cassis fruit, cedar wood, toast and earth jump from the glass. This full-bodied, classic Insignia reveals fabulous depth, ripeness, texture, viscosity and richness. Still young and unformed, it should evolve for 25 or more years. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Special Selection has a dense blackish/purple color and creamy, sweet crème de cassis fruit, blackberries, a touch of graphite and vanilla, This exuberant, boisterous, in-your-face style of Cabernet Sauvignon is clearly a fruit bomb, so be warned. Full-bodied and opulent with stunning concentration and richness, the wine has no hard edges and is much in the Caymus style of terrific fruit intensity (most of it black and blue), voluptuous texture, and a stunning finish with plenty of glycerin, wood and spice. The alcohol on the label is listed at 14.8%, which seems about accurate. I have Caymus Special Selection in my cellar back to some of the historic wines made by Chuck Wagner’s father in the early 1970s, and while the style’s gotten more precocious and consumer-friendly, these wines, even the more latter-day styles, have

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "As outstanding as all the Abreu wines are, if I had to choose one that stands apart from the others it would be Thorevilos. The 2008 Thorevilos is the most complete and deeply satisfying of Abreu’s 2008s because the balance of fruit and structure is so impeccable. The 2008 literally explodes onto the palate with masses of dark fruit, tar, licorice and smoke. There is a fleshiness and depth of the fruit here that separates the Thorevilos from the other 2008s. Layers of fruit build towards the massive, masculine finish. In 2008 Thorevilos is 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Cabernet Franc and 15% Petit Verdot. Anticipated maturity: 2018-2038. (AG)" (12/2011)

The good news is 11,000 cases were produced. The return of this superb Napa classic is fabulous news, and the brilliance of this wine is evidenced by its opaque purple color and its big, sweet, blackberry, cassis, subtle smoke, graphite, and spicy oak-scented nose. Made following a period of turmoil (changing winemakers, lawsuits, etc.) at this estate, the dense purple-colored 2003 Cabernet Sauvignon possesses a classic nose of spring flowers, blueberry liqueur and creme de cassis, 15.2% natural alcohol, and a complex, sweet, rich, full-bodied mouthfeel. There are many great vineyard sites in this area, and Bryant is exploiting theirs to the maximum. Drinkable now, this beauty should keep for 10-15 more years. " (06/2013)

2004 Screaming Eagle Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2004 Screaming Eagle Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (97RP, 94ST, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Aged 20 months in 72% new French oak, this blend of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Merlot and 2% Cabernet Franc comes from a great vineyard on the valley floor in Oakville, just south of Rudd Estate and Plumpjack. The wine’s dense ruby/purple color is followed by a beautiful, Pauillac-like (think Pontet Canet or Mouton), ethereal perfume of creme de cassis, or as Michael Broadbent used to say, 'celestial black currants,' full body, a velvety texture, fine tannins, a multidimensional mouthfeel, and a terrific finish. While there were no real surprises tasting this wine, I was somewhat intrigued by just how youthful the 2004 Screaming Eagle is showing. I had expected it to reveal slightly more evolution. I thought the 13% Merlot in the blend would push the evolution more quickly. The finish lasts for a full minute. As it has been in just about every vintage, the 2004

Bid on this magnum of 2003 Shafer "Hillside Select" Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (96WE, 95RP, 93ST, 93W&S, 93WS, 92JS). Wine Enthusiast: " *Cellar Selection* Solidly in the Hillside Select model, this vigorous young Cab is dramatically ripe and powerful. The flavors of red and black currants, milk chocolate, figs and smoky vanilla erupt in the mouth, making the tastebuds jump with joy. However, there is also the structure, among the greatest in California Cabs. The acidity is fine, but the tannins are stupendously rich, sweet and complex, practically a food group in themselves. Stunning and gorgeous now in its youth..." (03/2008)

2005 Kapcsandy Family Winery "State Lane Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2005 Kapcsandy Family Winery "State Lane Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98RP, 92WS, 91ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon, which was 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Merlot and 6% Cabernet Franc (600 cases), reveals loads of licorice, graphite, and blackcurrants in a sexy, toasty style with hints of earth, loamy soil notes and a floral underpinning. The wine is fragrant, with great intensity, a full-bodied mouthfeel, and almost a Mouton-Rothschild-like crème de cassis element. This wine is drinking well now, but will continue to evolve for another two decades. (RP)" (06/2015)

Full-bodied, opulent and complex, this beauty should drink nicely for 15-20 years. (RP)" (10/2014)

Bid on this magnum of 2009 Levy & McClellan Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (OWC - 94RP, 94ST, 94VN) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon is a broodingly big, muscular, backward red offering hints of wet pebbles, scorched earth, sweet black currants, blackberries, cassis, loamy soil, underbrush and foresty notes. Muscular, dense and tannic, it is meant for those with considerable patience as it will require 4-5 years in the cellar. It should last for three decades. This is the personal project of Napa Valley’s famous wine consultants Bob Levy (long the “main man” at Harlan Estate and Bond) and his wife, Martha McClellan (who has provided expertise to a number of brilliant start-up wineries). They produce this cuvee from the hillsides of northern Napa Valley. 94+ (RP)" (10/2013)

2013 Realm "The Absurd" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this bottle of 2013 Realm "The Absurd" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (100RP, 96JS, 95VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Another perfect wine (but very limited in production at 200 cases) is the 2013 The Absurd, a blend of 17 components dominated by 83% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Merlot and 6% Cabernet Franc. Winemaker Benoit Touquette told me that this wine is produced with no rules and no restrictions, and is considered their super-blend of the best they have in any given vintage. (I guess I would look stupid if I didn't give it 100 points, given the fact that two other Realm wines already hit that maximum score.) There is something different in this wine, with an opaque purple color for sure, but then there's the cassis, the blackberries, the roasted meats, some spicy pepper, and then an extravagantly rich, cascading palate that seems to be built like a skyscraper, but without one hard edge. This is a seriously endowed, super-rich, incredibly well-balanced wine that should drink we

2009 Caymus "Special Selection" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2009 Caymus "Special Selection" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (97WE, 93WS, 91CG). Wine Enthusiast: "So delicious now, you can hardly keep your hands off it. Blackberry tart, ripe blueberry, cassis, milk chocolate, licorice and sweet, smoky cedar flavors flood the mouth, dramatically huge and memorable, and lasting long into the finish. The tannins are obvious, but sweetly ripe and soft. A brilliant evocation of Napa Cabernet, despite a high production level of nearly 30,000 cases, which is about the same size as a Bordeaux first growth. Shows the class and potency this bottling has exhibited for many years, and believe it or not, the price is a is a relative bargain these days." (03/2012)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2013 Saxum "James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend ((98-100RP), (93-95VN)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Called a classic JBV by Justin and possibly rivaling the sensational 2007, the 2013 James Berry Vineyard Proprietary Blend (45% Grenache, 29% Mourvèdre, 18% Syrah, 8% Counoise) sports a vibrant purple color to go with layered and decadent notes of violets, blueberries, blackberries, peppery herbs and crushed rock. Made in a more elegant, seamless style than the '07, it's nevertheless full-bodied, utterly seamless, silky and polished, with incredible purity and length on the finish. Pure class all the way, it will have 15-20 years of overall longevity. (JD)" (08/2015)

Bid on this bottle of 2009 Sine Qua Non "This Is Not an Exit" Sta. Rita Hills Grenache (96RP, 95ST, 94VN, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "More open, upfront and sexy, the 2009 Grenache This is Not an Exit is comprised of 79% Grenache, 15% Syrah, 3% Viognier, and 3% Roussanne that spent 31 months in roughly 35% new French oak. Showing overflowing richness, with notions of incense, spice cake, potpourri, and creamy raspberry fruit, it is a full-bodied, voluptuous, and decadent Grenache geared for drinking over the coming decade or so. Drink now-2023. About as good as it gets across the board, these singular, incredible wines are the result of an obsessive attention to detail at all stages of the wine making process. There is no secret or hidden magic going on here. The incredibly talented and down-to-earth Manfred Krankl simply walks the walk as opposed to only talking about attention to detail or offering up the standard, wine is made in the vineyard comments. Juicy red berries, hard candy, flowers, mint and spices are all woven together nicely. The whole clusters are very nicely balanced. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1999 Pride Mountain "Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95CG, 94RP, 93WS, 92ST). Connoisseurs Guide: " *Three Stars* One of our favorites from what proved to be a very fine bunch, the 1999 is a remarkable, wonderfully well-focused Cabernet that is just beginning to come into its own. It is at once intense and outgoing and yet it seems to hold a great deal in reserve, with a great sense of extract and an almost claret-like structure. Despite the fact that it is still buttressed by plenty of youthful tannins, it never dries out or seems overly tough, and its incisive, remarkably long-lasting fruit should hold in good stead for next couple of decades. It was our favorite of the Pride Reserves of the 1990 decade when first reviewed and it remains so today." (02/2012)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Marcassin "Three Sisters Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (99RP, 94VN, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "With a slightly smokier edge to the honeysuckle, poached pear, pineapple and caramelized citrus notes, the 2010 Chardonnay Marcassin Vineyard hits the palate with a full-bodied, thunderous affect of fruit, glycerin and acidity. The wine reveals some smoke in the aromatics, but little, if any, in the flavor profile. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2011 Pinot Noir Kistler Vineyard (made primarily from the Calera clone), which sees one-third new oak and is 100% destemmed, possesses lots of raspberry and black cherry fruit intermixed with hints of underbrush and forest floor, and a nice meatiness to its texture. There has been a progressive trend by Kistler’s winemaking team and owners to harvest at slightly lower sugars, back off slightly on the percentage of new oak used, and bottle their wines earlier. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 No Girls "La Paciencia Vineyard" Walla Walla Valley Grenache (94RP, 93WE, 92WS, 90ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Showing the house style, which is generally more finesse driven than the wines of Cayuse, the 2010 Grenache La Paciencia Vineyard is a gorgeously complex, elegant effort that has both richness and freshness. A 100% Grenache that sees no new oak whatsoever, it possesses exotic aromas and flavors of lavender, olive, river rock and spiced meats that are all grounded by a sweet core of black cherry-like fruit.
