2012 Aubert Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir Horizontal
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Aubert Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir Horizontal, including 1-bottle of 2012 Aubert "UV Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir ((92-94RP), 94VN) and 1-bottle of 2012 Aubert "UV-SL Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (95VN). Of the 2012 Aubert "UV-SL Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir,Vinous writes: "The 2012 Pinot Noir UV-SL Vineyard is the most complete of these Pinots. It is also by far the most intense. Dark red cherry, plum, spice and menthol notes all take shape in the glass. The style is broad, ample and super-ripe. Amazingly, with time in the glass, the wine comes together very nicely, but it really does need a lot of time. A juicy, boisterous finish rounds things out. The UV-SL is the Pinot that most clearly defines Mark Aubert's deeply personal approach to Pinot Noir." (02/2014)

Of the 2012 Williams Selyem "Olivet Lane" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir,Connoisseurs Guide writes: "This outstanding effort ranks among the richest and best-filled examples of Olivet Lane Pinot that we can recall, and, while deep in fully-ripened, black cherry fruit, it is as noteworthy for its careful, very keen sense of balance as for its considerable generosity. It is moderately full-bodied and fleshy in feel, and its ready ripeness is tempered by neatly matched acidity that lifts and brightens its wonderfully persistent finish. It delivers lots to like now, and we would not turn down a bottle if offered with dinner

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2012 Occidental (Kistler) "Bodegas Headlands--Cuvee Elizabeth" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (98RP, 97VN, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "As good as the Cuvée Catherine is, there is another Occidental Pinot that is profound. There are 2,000 cases of the 2012 Pinot Noir Bodega Headlands Cuvée Elizabeth. This wine reminded me of my earlier days in Burgundy tasting the Grand Cru Musigny. Incredible floral notes, sweet raspberries and blueberries as well as wet rocks soar from the glass of this profound, medium to full-bodied, gorgeous Pinot Noir made from 100% Calera clone. Stunning ripeness, great acids, and terrific delineation are all present in this super-intense, fragrant, modern classic from Steve Kistler. It should drink well for at least a decade, possibly a lot longer. (RP)" (01/2015)

There are only 140 cases of this beauty, which was cropped at just over a ton of fruit per acre. It offers up notes of bouquet garni, roasted meats, black raspberries, black currants, strawberries and cherries. Bid on this bottle of 1999 Domaine Armand Rousseau Ruchottes-Chambertin Grand Cru "Clos des Ruchottes" (94RP, (88-90BH)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1999 Clos des Ruchottes is tussling with the 1996 as the best of the decade. Lucid, almost iridescent in color, the bouquet explodes across the sky with voluptuous aromas of cassis, black cherries and vanilla pod. Brilliantly defined and focused, it is utterly beguiling. The palate is very well balanced with silky smooth tannins that just glide across the mouth. Cashmere! It fans out gloriously toward its crescendo with lush plum and blackberry notes, but underneath there is a minerally core to counterbalance the sheer sexiness of this wine. Fabulous, but you need patience to really appreciate it. (NM)" (12/2013)

There is a wonderfully sophisticated mouth feel and this is textbook Pézerolles though I underscore that patience will be required." (04/2013)

Black cherries, plums, smoke, graphite, licorice, menthol and tar burst from the glass as the wine shows off its statuesque, towering personality. The 2010 boasts stunning richness allied to powerful tannins in a full-bodied style that is simply dazzling. This is a dramatic, thrilling wine from de Vogue, but it will test readers’ patience. 2001 Domaine Jean Tardy Clos Vougeot Grand Cru "Grand Maupertuis"
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2001 Domaine Jean Tardy Clos Vougeot Grand Cru "Grand Maupertuis". Allen Meadows writes: "Jean Tardy and his son Guillaume run this small, traditional 5.5 ha domaine. Tardy is unique in that they are the last remaining sharecroppers for Domaine Méo-Camuzet (see above). The domaine leases a small parcel of Clos de Vougeot, a large one of Boudots and fully 1.5 ha of Chaumes. The terms of the métayage agreement require Tardy to deliver 50% of the crop to Méo at harvest time and he reports that the lease runs until 2007. They practice lutte raisonné (the practice of applying treatments only when a particular threat presents itself, rather than treating in advance - the theory is that the vines receive fewer treatments because not all threats materialize), short pruning and replant strictly by repiquage, or replacing individual vines rather than grubbing up parcels in their entirety; this keeps average vine age at its maximum though it's far more expensive to do.

This is still notably firm with an abundance of minerality present on the delicious, focused and beautifully well-delineated flavors that terminate in a precise, long, linear and palate staining finish. 2010 Domaine Ponsot Chambertin-Clos de Bèze Grand Cru
Bid on this bottle of 2010 Domaine Ponsot Chambertin-Clos de Bèze Grand Cru. Allen Meadows of Burghound shared the following from his time with Laurent Ponsot: "The always direct Laurent Ponsot minced no words about 2009, succinctly observing that to 'make bad wine in a vintage as good as this one you had to do it on purpose! I waited until the 26th of September to begin picking and brought in clean and generous yields that averaged around 39 hl/ha versus my usual average of about 26 hl/ha. The fruit was uniformly ripe and averaged around 14% in terms of potential alcohol and thus I obviously chaptalized nothing. In terms of the wines, for me the word for the vintage is balance. And while I have heard some people criticize the vintage for lacking a clear sense of the underlying terroir, I do not find that to be true at all, in fact I think that the wines are picture perfect in this regard.'"

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2013 Cirq "Treehouse Vineyard" Russian River Pinot Noir (OWC - 97RP, 94VN, 94WS) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The larger production cuvee (1,748 cases) is the 2013 Pinot Noir Treehouse Vineyard, which comes from a higher elevation site that's above the fog line, roughly eight miles from the Pacific Ocean. Its deep ruby color is followed by to-die-for notes of black raspberries, crushed violets, cassis, spice and toasted bread. Utterly perfect on the palate, with medium to full-bodied richness, an ethereal, seamless, multi-dimensional texture, fine tannin and crazy length, hats off to the team at CIRQ for this singular beauty. Bid on this bottle of 2011 DRC Domaine de la Romanée-Conti La Tâche Grand Cru (96BH, 96ST, 95RP). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "96+ Bright, medium red-ruby. Subdued but very pure and nuanced aromas of tangy red fruits, flowers, Oriental spices, licorice and crushed stone, plus an exhilarating hint of peach. Wonderfully suave on entry, then rich, ripe, dry and sharply delineated, showing outstanding refinement and aristocratic reserve to its spicy red and blue fruit flavors. The rising finish goes on and on, with noble tannins thoroughly buffered by fruit. Plum, black cherry, menthol, tobacco and licorice meld together gracefully as the 2011 opens up in the glass. The combination of fruit and structure is compelling. The 2012 Pinot Noir SWK Vineyard also comes from his 65 acres planted in Occidental. This is a 1,000-case cuvée from a site that sits above the Bodega Headlands Vineyard. Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2011 Domaine de Montille Pommard 1er Cru "Rugiens-Bas" ((92-94BH), 92ST). Allen Meadows - Burghound: " *Outstanding!* This is also quite restrained with ultra-pure aromas of wet stone, floral hints, sandalwood and very fresh red berry fruit scents. There is a focused power to the robust yet refined medium-bodied flavors that possess plenty of supporting sap that helps to buffer the otherwise firm and well-integrated tannic spine on the explosively long, balanced and moderately austere finish. This beauty will also require ample patience." (04/2013)

2003 Marcassin "Marcassin Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir
Bid on this bottle of 2003 Marcassin "Marcassin Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (99RP, 97ST, 95WS, 93JS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "I was somewhat surprised to see that the 2003 Estate Pinot Noir merited the same score that it has received every time I have tasted it. Although I have never been able to award it a perfect score, it is as close to perfect as one will find. A terrific success in a vintage that rarely produced Pinot Noir of this quality except at selected micro-climates on the Sonoma coast. A majestic bouquet of black currants, smoky barbecue meat, blueberries and black raspberries soars from the glass of this dark plum/purple-colored wine. Full-bodied and stunningly rich with 14.5-14.7% natural alcohol, it possesses a layer of concentration as well as a multileveled complexity that builds incrementally across the palate. 2009 Domaine Ponsot Griotte-Chambertin Grand Cru
Bid on this bottle of 2009 Domaine Ponsot Griotte-Chambertin Grand Cru (94BH, (91-94RP)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Griotte-Chambertin is another big, super-ripe wine loaded with dark fruit. This is almost port-like in its intensity, with endless layers of blueberries, blackberries, spices and white flowers that build towards the substantial, textured finish. The Griotte is a totally seductive wine endowed with fabulous harmony and tons of personality. (AG)" (05/2011)

2010 Domaine Francois Lamarche Echezeaux Grand Cru
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2010 Domaine Francois Lamarche Echezeaux Grand Cru ((91-94BH)). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A highly spiced nose of cassis, red currant, plum and warm earth complements well the equally ripe and notably earthy medium weight flavors that possess a succulent palate impression as there is ample dry extract present. This is really quite powerful with fine focus and detail to the harmonious finish. As the typical Echézeaux goes this is a relatively big but not inelegant wine if for no other reason than the tannins are finely rendered. " (01/2012)

2008 Domaine Georges Mugneret-Gibourg Vosne-Romanée
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2008 Domaine Georges Mugneret-Gibourg Vosne-Romanée (90ST). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Bright medium red. Redcurrant, flowers, spices, orange zest and white pepper on the scented nose. Not a fleshy style but juicy and nicely delineated, with the orange note providing inner-palate lift. Still tight but finishes with nice subtle length. The energy of this excellent village wine really wakes up the palate. Marie-Christine Mugneret noted that the estate's 2008s began with very high levels of malic acidity and finished with very low pHs in the 3.25 to 3.33 range. The 2009s will be pleasurable young, she went on, but the 2008s will be to drink later. (ST)" (03/2011)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Grivot’s 2005 Vosne-Romanee Les Beaumonts delivers scents of blackberry, cassis, violets, fennel, and pungent brown spices. Clear and invigorating in fruit, yet creamy and mouth-coating, this brings spices, flowers and a note of chalk into its long, refined finish. The tannins are superbly fine and the longer this opens in the glass the more perfumed it becomes. (DS)" (04/2007)

2013 Domaine Tortochot Mazis-Chambertin Grand Cru
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2013 Domaine Tortochot Mazis-Chambertin Grand Cru (92RP, 90BH). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2013 Mazis Chambertin Grand Cru was bottled in December and aged in 100% new oak. Even though there is more new wood than the Charmes, here on the Mazis I find superior integration and it is in sync with the fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with firm but supple tannin, good body and density but with sufficient elegance on the finish. This is a broad-shouldered Mazis-Chambertin that should reward cellaring. Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2013 Domaine Tortochot Gevrey Chambertin 1er Cru "Lavaux Saint-Jacques" (90RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2013 Gevrey Chambertin 1er Cru Lavaux St Jacques offers brambly red berry fruit on the nose with touches of woodland/autumn leaf coming through. The palate is nicely balanced with supple tannin, brisk red berry fruit laced with minerals and a pleasant citric note on the bright and lively finish. Sprightly and vivacious, though perhaps not as long-term as its peers, this will still give drinking pleasure over the next 6-8 years. (NM)" (06/2015)

Bid on this bottle of 2012 DRC Domaine de la Romanée-Conti La Tâche Grand Cru (96BH, 96ST, 95VN, 92RP). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Bright, medium red-ruby. This wine has the early balance to give great pleasure within the next couple of years--or, better yet, lay it down for a decade. (ST)" (03/2014)

2008 Joseph Drouhin Musigny Grand Cru
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2008 Joseph Drouhin Musigny Grand Cru (95BH, (92-95ST), 94RP). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "(vinified with 25% whole clusters) Good bright ruby-red. Sweet nose currently dominated by raspberry and minerals; less high-pitched today than the Bonnes-Mares, but there are intriguing mineral and underbrush nuances lurking. Wonderfully broad, ripe and sweet for the year, with primary berry flavors framed by firm acids and lifted by pepper and blood orange elements. Boasts terrific breadth of flavor and richness but is not yet showing the definition of the Bonnes-Mares. This will need a good eight to ten years of cellaring to fully express itself and should be long-lived." (03/2010)

2007 Domaine Comte de Vogüé Musigny Grand Cru Vieilles Vignes
Bid on this bottle of 2007 Domaine Comte de Vogüé Musigny Grand Cru Vieilles Vignes (95BH, 95RP, 95ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Smoked meat and salt-, kelp-, and iodine-laced maritime mineral overlays to the sweetly ripe berry and pit fruit concentrate of de Vogue’s 2007 Musigny Vieilles Vignes make for a Pinot as intriguing as it is eager to caress and please. Plush, polished, and possessed of formidable sheer sap, it displays an energy and interplay seldom revealed in this vintage. A mineral savor of crustacean shell reduction keeps pace with nearly candied sweetness of berry fruit -- and keeps you salivating uncontrollably -- all the way to a distant finishing line. Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2005 Domaine Georges Roumier Morey-St-Denis 1er Cru "Clos de la Bussière" (91BH, (90-91RP), 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Like the rest of the wines here at the time I tasted, Roumier’s 2005 Morey St. Denis Clos de la Bussiere had been sulfured and racked in autumn after a very late malo and was in barrel awaiting imminent assemblage in tank for (unfiltered) bottling. It was slightly reduced but responded well to a good shaking, displaying subtle black fruits, high-toned almond and maraschino, roasted meatiness, resin, and forest floor notes on the nose. It fills the mouth with roasted meat richness, bitter-sweet black fruits, high-toned distilled fruit esters, and finishes with solidity, grip, and savory saltiness. (DS)" (04/2007)

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2012 Williams Selyem "Rochioli Riverblock" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir (96CG, 95WE, 94ST, 92VN). Connoisseurs Guide: " *Three Stars* This decidedly pretty wine is at once both graceful and wonderfully deep with a very firm grasp on keen and lively young fruit that runs from ripe cherries to raspberries. It is impressively concentrated yet is always light on its feet and hints at that special, slightly velvety quality found in the very best versions of the grape, yet it exhibits enough youthful, back-palate tightness to make waiting the smart choice. It is bound to show a little more finishing polish once a couple of years have passed, and it will continue to grow and improve for a good many more after that." (10/2014)

Bid on this bottle of 2002 Domaine Joseph Drouhin Chambertin Grand Cru. Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Full medium red. Deep, brooding aromas of strawberry, leather, smoky oak and underbrush. Solid but sullen today; comes across as almost chunky following the Clos de Vougeot and Grands-Echezeaux. A bit disjointed today, owing to its edgy acidity and dusty tannins. This wine's elements will need time to harmonize. (ST)" (05/2005)

Racy and opulent from the outset, the Kistler Vineyard blossoms with notable depth and layers of enveloping fruit. Dark red cherry, plum, spice and lavender add the final notes of complexity in a racy, perfumed Pinot to drink over the next decade. (AG)" (01/2015)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2013 Gevrey-Chambertin Vieilles Vignes, the oldest vines planted back in 1929, has a crisp, slightly leafy bouquet with a light marine influence developing in the glass. The palate is very well balanced with fine tannins, crisp acidity and plenty of dark berry fruit toward the piquant finish.
