1996 Domaine Comte de Vogüé Bonnes Mares Grand Cru
Bid on this bottle of 1996 Domaine Comte de Vogüé Bonnes Mares Grand Cru ((92-95RP), 93ST, 91BH, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "I loved this medium-to-dark ruby-colored wine. Earthy aromas of stones, minerals, blood, and blueberries can be found in this medium-to-full-bodied, tightly wound, sensual, and seductive wine. Seemingly unending layers of black raspberries, cherries, wild blueberries, tangy red currants, and fresh herbs can be found in this complex, rich, silky-textured, and profound wine. Its sublime finish, which provides the taster with yet another opportunity to witness this offering's gorgeous purity of fruit, has a firm yet supple backbone. An extraordinary Bonnes Mares! 2008 Ridge "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2008 Ridge "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon (97RP, 95JS, 95ST, 95W&S). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2008 Monte Bello is striking. It is a decidedly muscular Monte Bello endowed with layers of dark fruit. Tobacco, mint, asphalt and crushed rocks develop in the glass, adding tons of complexity and finesse. A long, saline finish rounds things out beautifully. In 2008 the cold growing season stretched into October and the wine definitely has the feel of a cool vintage. The spring frost and the second year of drought conditions lowered yields significantly. Yields were just 1.25 tons per acre on average, but some of the older vineyards came in at less than 1 ton per acre. The balance of fruit, tannin and structure is simply extraordinary, but the wine needs time, most likely lots of it. In 2008 the blend is 72% Cabernet Sauvignon and 28% Merlot. Anticipated maturity: 2018-2038. (AG) 97+" (08/2011)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2002 boasts an inky/purple color along with notes of graphite, violets, blackberries, creme de cassis and hints of charcoal and barbecue in addition to a full-bodied, multilayered mouthfeel that builds incrementally with great purity, staggering fruit concentration, and a long, velvety, 50+-second finish. This prodigious effort should continue to drink well for 20+ years. (RP)" (11/2013)

2004 Levy & McClellan Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (OWC)
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2004 Levy & McClellan Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (OWC - 99RP, 95WS, 93ST) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The exquisite 2004 Proprietary Red Wine offers up notes of lead pencil shavings, licorice, Asian plum sauce, black currants and a hint of underlying minerality. Full-bodied yet beautifully silky and seductive, it has shed most of its tannins, resulting in a complex, singular red wine of majestic proportions. The finish is among the longest of any 2004 I tasted, and gorgeous levels of fruit and extract hide any notions of new oak. This cuvee tastes like a hypothetical blend of a great Pauillac, Pessac-Leognan and Napa Cabernet Sauvignon. It should drink well over the next two decades... (RP)" (04/2014)

Bid on this bottle of 2000 Lafite-Rothschild, Pauillac (100JS, 99WE, 98RP, 98WS, 96ST, 95W&S). James Suckling: "The nose is fresh, bright, and dense. With aromas of violets, minerals, spices, cool stones, mint, dark fruits, and plum skins, this is beautiful. Very much still a baby right now, it needs much more time. This is a wine for the next generation. Finesse and elegance, truly a wine that makes you contemplate life. This is not about power, there is really nothing like it. 93% Cabernet Sauvignon. Do not even think about touching this for another ten years, 2020. " (02/2011)

1997 Harlan Estate Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this bottle of 1997 Harlan Estate Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (100RP, 97ST, 97WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1997 Harlan Estate is one of the greatest Cabernet Sauvignon-based wines I have ever tasted. A blend of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, with the rest Merlot and Cabernet Franc, this enormously-endowed, profoundly rich wine must be tasted to be believed. Opaque purple-colored, it boasts spectacular, soaring aromatics of vanilla, minerals, coffee, blackberries, licorice, and cassis. In the mouth, layer after layer unfold powerfully yet gently. Acidity, tannin, and alcohol are well-balanced by the wine's unreal richness and singular personality. The finish exceeds one minute. Anticipated maturity: 2001-2030. (RP)" (12/2000)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2012 La Mission Haut-Brion, Pessac-Léognan (97RP, 96VN, 96WE, 93WS, 92JS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "As for the 2012 La Mission Haut Brion, this wine (41% of the total production) continues to perform as it has for nearly a century. At first-growth levels of quality, this is s stunning wine that is full-bodied and very concentrated with notes of graphite, subtle charcoal embers, crème de cassis, blackberry and underlying subtle earthiness. The wine is full and powerful, rich and concentrated. And sure enough, the alcohol level tips the scales at 15% from a blend 62% Merlot and 38% Cabernet Franc. This is a big, blockbuster La Mission Haut Brion that should age effortlessly for 30-40+ years. However, the tannins suggest that this wine should not be touched for another 5-6 years, as its one of the more backward of the 2012 Pessac-Léognans. Bravo! (RP)" (04/2015)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 1995 Latour, Pauillac (OWC - 96RP, 94ST, 94WS) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A beauty, the opaque dense purple-colored 1995 exhibits jammy cassis, vanillin, and minerals in its fragrant but still youthful aromatics. Medium to full-bodied, with exceptional purity, superb concentration, and a long, intense, ripe, 40-second finish, this is a magnificent example of Latour. As the wine sat in the glass, scents of roasted espresso and toasty new oak emerged. This classic will require considerable cellaring. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2050. (RP)" (06/2000)

Black cherry, licorice, sandalwood, tobacco and woodsy spice notes mingle with dense tannins on the powerful frame, leading to a superb aftertaste of sweet fruit, spice and mineral.—Non-blind 2010 DRC tasting (March 2013). Knockout nose combines earthy nuances, floral perfume, mocha and spices; this screams out Clos de la Roche. Then wonderfully sweet and seamless, with superb inner-palate energy. Flavors of wild red fruits, mulch and wild herbs are like an essence of this grand cru site. Extremely long and subtle on the back, finishing with superb grip and sappiness. " (04/2005)

Of the 2002 Bond "Melbury" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The 2002 Cabernet Sauvignon Melbury, which comes from a hillside vineyard site near Lake Hennessey, is showing even better than it did in its youth. Probably years away from full maturity, the wine has an extraordinary aromatic profile of smoky meats intermixed with blackberry, creme de cassis, charcoal, lead pencil shavings and espresso. Of the 2014 Schrader "Beckstoffer Las Piedras, LPV" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon LPV is from clone 337 from the Las Piedras Vineyard in St. Helena. This shows Mission Haut-Brion-like characteristics as it has in the past, with crushed rock, wet gravel, scorched earth, blackberry and blueberry fruit. It is clearly one of my favorites of this entire tasting. It has 14.5% natural alcohol and was aged in 90% new Darnajou and 10% new Taransaud barrels. This is a killer effort. (RP)" (10/2016)

1996 Pichon-Lalande, Pauillac
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1996 Pichon-Lalande, Pauillac (97VN, 96RP, 95ST, 92WS). Vinous: "What a treat it is to taste these two Pichon Lalandes straight from the chateau’s cellar. The 1996 Pichon Lalande is stratospheric from the very first taste. The deep, layered bouquet alone is deeply transfixing. Smoke, mocha, dark spices, lavender, crème de cassis, a host of dark-fleshed fruits and a touch of warm, resonant sweetness from the French oak draw me in. All of those sensations follow through to the palate, where the wine is massive, intense and totally enveloping. Time has softened the tannins to the point the 1996 is ready to drink, but there is enough sheer concentration here to support another 20-30 years of exceptional drinking ... (AG)" (02/2016)

2013 Dominus Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this bottle of 2013 Dominus Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (100DC, 100JS, 100RP, 100VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2013 Dominus is, to my way of thinking, one of the most profound wines Christian Moueix has yet made in his rather brilliant winemaking history, both in France and in Napa Valley. This wine, with very low yields of only 3,500 cases and a final blend of 89% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Petit Verdot and 4% Cabernet Franc, offers up notes of cedar wood, forest floor, loamy soil and oodles of blackberry and blackcurrant fruit. Very opaque purple in color, super-pure and intense, this wine has low acidity, but ripe, noticeable tannins. This is a 30- to 40-year wine and a profound effort from this famous vineyard in Yountville. Drink it over the next 40+ years. (RP)" (10/2015)

Full-bodied with sensational purity, a multidimensional mouthfeel and a long, voluptuous finish with no hard edges, it has only reached mid-adolescence, and has at least two decades of life ahead of it. Bid on this bottle of 2005 Sine Qua Non "Atlantis fe203-1a" California Syrah (100RP, (94-95ST), 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The perfect 2005 Syrah Atlantis Fe 203-1a,b,c is a blend of 93% Syrah, 5% Grenache, and 2% Viognier, with 25% whole clusters. Whereas the Ode to E is all from the Eleven Confessions Vineyard, this cuvee is a combination of 43% from the estate vineyard, 28% from the White Hawk Vineyard, 21% from the Alban Vineyard, and 8% from the Bien Nacido Vineyard. The good news is there are nearly 1,500 cases of this recently released offering. An extraordinarily flowery nose interwoven with scents of blueberries, blackberries, incense, and graphite soars from the glass. Although not the biggest or most concentrated Syrah Krankl has made, it is one of the most nuanced, elegant, and complex. It remains full-bodied, but builds incrementally on the palate, and comes across as elegant and delicate, especially when compared to many California Syrahs. Nevertheless, the in

1971 Mouton Rothschild, Pauillac
Bid on this bottle of 1971 Mouton Rothschild, Pauillac. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This wine, which was a medium-weight, charming example in its youth, continues to develop well. Recent bottles have been the finest I have tasted of the 1971 Mouton-Rothschild. The color remains a deep dark garnet with some amber at the edge. The wine offers up a classic Pauillac nose of cedar, black currants, and lead pencil aromas. A blend of 67% Syrah and the rest Mourvedre, fermented with 30% whole cluster, this total thrill ride offers sensational notes of creme de cassis, black raspberries, ground herbs and crushed flowers to go with a full-bodied, ultra-pure, silky and seamless style on the palate. Wine Enthusiast: "*** Cellar Selection *** The 2006 flagship Cabernet from Quilceda Creek is a massive wine that has just begun to emerge from its slumber. When first released the wine seemed to have entered a dumb phase, but six months later it responds to decanting and shows its muscle. Fruit flavors of black, brandied cherries, cassis and bourbon-soaked plums are wrapped in generous, layered oak. The wine is dusty, smoky, laced with streaks of licorice and brightened with sharp acids. It continues to expand further in the glass, adding flesh and spice to its frame, with a cedar/cigar box finish. (PG)" (03/2010)

Bid on this bottle of 2004 Bond "Pluribus" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (98RP, 96WS, 95VN, 91WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Perhaps the wine that jumped the most in score from when I first tasted these wines out of bottle in 2008, is the 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon Pluribus. Rated 94 back in 2008, it’s now a solid 98 and knocking on the door of perfection. This wine comes from a Spring Mountain vineyard northwest of the charming town of St. Helena. It has gorgeous notes of graphite, acacia flowers, blueberry liqueur, scorched earth and hot stones. Reminiscent of a top Graves, it is another full-bodied, rich, concentrated wine with good acidity as well as fabulous purity and concentration. I had not seen the Graves-like character in this wine prior to bottling and post-bottling, but it is there now. This stunner is open for business and its fragrance and suppleness suggest drinking it over the next two decades. (RP)" (04/2014)

Finishes with chewy flavors of dried cherry and spicecake and very good length. (ST)" (05/2007)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2009 Drinkward Peschon "Entre Deux Mères" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (94RP, 94VN, 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Entre Deux Meres isn't quite as overtly rich as the 2008, but has more delineation in its aromas and flavors. Tar, incense, tobacco, smoke and plums are all layered into the vibrant, nuanced finish. With time in the glass, the wine opens up beautifully as the flavors gain depth and richness. The 2009 is a fabulous wine for the money. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2024. (AG)" (12/2012)

2007 Carlisle "Two Acres" Russian River Valley Red Blend
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2007 Carlisle "Two Acres" Russian River Valley Red Blend (92ST, 91RP). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "(84% mourvedre, 6% petite sirah, 5% carignane, 3% alicante bouschet and 2% syrah) Vivid red. Vibrant red and dark berry aromas are complicated by smoky minerals and spices. Fat, velvety and gently sweet, with pure raspberry and blackberry flavors and a tangy jolt of cracked pepper. This is impressively elegant for a blend like this, which I'd have guessed to have a lot more carignane, or even some zinfandel. Carlisle said that this is his favorite Two Acres ever, and that he could drink this all day long. (ST)" (05/2009)

Noble, airy aromas of piquant pomegranate, smoky minerality, white pepper and leather. Densely packed and folded in on itself; like a black hole in the mouth. Great verve and energy to the saline and crushed stone flavors. Uncoils slowly with aeration, with the finish displaying almost painful intensity and terrific mounting floral length. 2004 Sine Qua Non "Into the Dark" Central Coast Grenache
Bid on this bottle of 2004 Sine Qua Non "Into the Dark" Central Coast Grenache (99RP, 95ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "More up-front and open-knit, the 2004 In the Dark (Grenache) checks in as a blend of 84% Grenache, 8% Mourvedre, 7% Syrah and 1% Viognier that comes mostly from Manfred’s 11 Confessions Vineyard, yet includes small portions from Alban (10%) and Alta Mesa (9%) Vineyard. Reminding me of Clos Saint-Jean’s Sanctus Sanctorum with its incredible bouquet of sweet kirsch, licorice, dried baking spices, graphite and ground pepper, this beauty flows onto the palate with impeccable purity, perfect integration of its fruit, tannin and acidity, and blockbuster length. As is common with this estate’s wine, it’s the purity paired with serious richness that sets it apart. While still youthful and benefiting from a healthy decadence, I think it’s drinking at point and would aim to drink bottles over the coming 4-5 years. It will evolve gracefully for longer, but I see no reason t

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2005 D.R. Stephens "Moose Valley Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC - 91RP) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon from D. R. Stephens gets a slightly higher rating largely due to more complexity and better integration of the tannins, which seems to give the wine a more expansive nose, but this is a classic Napa Cabernet, with black fruits, loamy soil notes, a hint of bouquet garni, and lots of spice box and earth. The wine is round and generously constructed, with a full-bodied, supple personality. (RP)" (12/2008)

2005 Levy & McClellan Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (OWC)
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2005 Levy & McClellan Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (OWC - 95RP, 94ST, 94VN) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A limited production of a very powerful and massive wine from two of California’s most famous winemaking gurus, Bob Levy and Martha McClellan, this wine remains primordial and backward, especially for a 2005. Loads of graphite notes interwoven with cassis, new saddle leather, blackberry and earth are impressive. It may sound unusual, but what came to mind is tasting some of the more recent vintages of Château Montrose in St-Estèphe in Bordeaux. This wine still needs another 5-6 years of cellaring easily. This masculine, vigorous, bigger-than-life, full-throttle wine will evolve for another 25-30 years. 95+ (RP)" (06/2015)

2014 Outpost "True Vineyard" Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2014 Outpost "True Vineyard" Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The limited-production 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon True Vineyard (475 cases) is also 100% Cabernet Sauvignon aged 20 months in 90% new French oak. This is an amazing 2014 and one of the few perfect wines that I could find while tasting at the top addresses in Northern California. Blue/purple in color, with extraordinarily intense floral notes intermixed with blueberry, blackberry, crushed charcoal and camphor, the wine hits the palate with a spectacular display of glycerin, fruit, sweet tannin, adequate acidity, and wonderful equilibrium and purity. The finish was close to a minute. This wine is irresistible, although it is certainly capable of lasting three decades or more. Kudos to the Dotzlers and Thomas Rivers Brown for this magnificent achievement! (RP)" (10/2016)

2010 Marcassin "Marcassin Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2010 Marcassin "Marcassin Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (95RP, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Pinot Noir Marcassin Vineyard is a slightly tighter style of Pinot Noir, and lighter than the 2009. There is more acidity showing through, the fruit offering up various red and black fruits from pomegranate to plum to cassis, dark sweet cherries as well as foresty underbrush notes. It is developing quickly, without the intensity of flavor of the 2009. Anticipated maturity: now-2025. (RP)" (08/2015)

Bid on this 12-bottle lot of 2007 Produttori del Barbaresco "Rio Sordo" Barbaresco Riserva (93RP, 92JS, 92WS, 91ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2007 Barbaresco Riserva Rio Sordo is another of the strong wines in this vintage. Rio Sordo tends to yield wines that are soft and perfumed. Those qualities are very much present in the 2007, except that the vintage has added a little more fleshiness than is typically the case. An expressive, open bouquet redolent of crushed flowers, spices and red berries leads to soft fruit in this elegant, harmonious Barbaresco. This looks to be one of the earlier maturing of the 2007 Riservas. Anticipated maturity: 2015-2027+. The 2007 Riservas saw a lengthy period of four or more weeks on the skins. The wines spent a total of three years in oak, the first year in 25-35 HL casks, an additional 12-18 months in larger 50-75 HL casks, and a final 6-12 months back in the smaller casks. When the 2007 Riservas were younger, the personality of the vintage

Bid on this bottle of 2011 DRC Domaine de la Romanée-Conti La Tâche Grand Cru (96BH, 96ST, 95RP). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "96+ Bright, medium red-ruby. Subdued but very pure and nuanced aromas of tangy red fruits, flowers, Oriental spices, licorice and crushed stone, plus an exhilarating hint of peach. Wonderfully suave on entry, then rich, ripe, dry and sharply delineated, showing outstanding refinement and aristocratic reserve to its spicy red and blue fruit flavors. The rising finish goes on and on, with noble tannins thoroughly buffered by fruit. This wine has the early balance to give great pleasure within the next couple of years--or, better yet, lay it down for a decade. (ST)" (03/2014)

1998 Harlan Estate Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this bottle of 1998 Harlan Estate Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (95RP, 93ST, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1998, which is a candidate for the 'Wine of the Vintage,' was produced from yields of 0.9 tons per acre. There are only 1,100 cases, and it is the first Harlan Estate to be composed of 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. A spectacular achievement, it boasts an opaque plum/purple color as well as a sumptuous nose of espresso, mineral, blueberry, blackberry, tobacco, licorice, Asian spice, and roasted meat smells. In the mouth, it is seamless, full-bodied, with an unctuous texture, gorgeously sweet tannin, and layer upon layer of concentration. This is a tour de force in winemaking. It is hard to believe that a wine such as this has emerged from 1998. Anticipated maturity: 2003-2030. (RP)" (12/2000)

1982 Margaux, Margaux
Bid on this bottle of 1982 Margaux, Margaux (97JS, 97RP, 97VN, 96ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: " ... This was a great bottle: fragrant and beautifully defined on the nose that on this occasion offered a more conspicuous graphite scent, which lent it a Pauillac-like personality. Allowing the wine to open and aerate, the traits one associates with the property emerge—wilted violets and rose petals. The palate is medium-bodied, fresh and mineral-laden, that suggestion of candied orange peel on the entry segueing into layers of pure red and black fruit. There is always something effortless about this Chateau Margaux and the pixelation on the finish is up there with the very best. Is it the best 1982 First Growth? No, it's not quite up there with 1982 Latour or Mouton-Rothschild, however, it is a sublime evocation of the vineyard and it will continue to give pleasure for a couple of decades yet.
