1989 Léoville-Las-Cases, St-Julien
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1989 Léoville-Las-Cases, St-Julien (96WS, 90RP). Wine Spectator: "Very ripe, with raisin and dried fruits on the nose. You can smell the sun-dried grapes. Full-bodied, delivering firm tannins and a very fresh palate. Long and flavorful, offering currant, berries and all sorts of dark fruits, but turns lightly earthy and floral. This is a thoroughly complex wine. Just starting to really open into the mature 20-year-old wine it is, but such a great life ahead of it. Muscular. (Web-2010)"

1986 Lynch-Bages, Pauillac
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1986 Lynch-Bages, Pauillac (94RP, 93ST, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1986 is finally emerging from the dormant stage that many of the wines from this vintage (especially the Medocs) have been going through. It is a full-bodied, still backward wine that will appeal to classicists and old line traditionalists given its firm structure and austere tannins. Nevertheless, the color is a healthy deep garnet and the wine exhibits wonderful freshness along with notes of underbrush, damp earth, black currants, cedar and new saddle leather. Well-balanced with good depth, medium to full body, and a tannic (although not excessively so) finish, this may not be the most finesse-styled, elegant Lynch Bages ever produced, but it is an interesting Pauillac that will benefit from another 3-4 years of cellaring. While it may never hit the peaks achieved by great Lynch Bages vintages, it will be one of those rare wines that will last 40+ years. (RP)" (08/2011)

Dark chocolate covered cherries, espresso, cinnamon, rose petals, tree bark and loam. Medium to full body with layers of concentrated fruit and spice flavours supported by crisp acidity and a medium+ level of fine tannins. Very long finish. (LPB)" (03/2010)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1982 Léoville-Poyferré, St-Julien (95RP, 91ST, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A brilliant effort, it boasts a dense purple color as well as a sweet, flowery bouquet revealing plenty of creme de cassis, plum, and cherry notes, stunning concentration, a boatload of power, sweet tannins (the sweetest and easiest to taste among the St.-Juliens), and a long finish. Although close to full maturity, it has at least 20-25 years of life remaining." (06/2009)

2011 Saxum "Booker Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2011 Saxum "Booker Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (96RP, 94ST, 94VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Beautifully done, and probably the most elegant, seamless version of this cuvee I’ve tasted, the 2011 Booker Vineyard offers terrific aromas and flavors of liquid violets, sappy underbrush, smoked, exotic spices and plenty of crushed rock-like minerality that are all carried by layers of sweet cassis and black raspberry. There’s a northern Rhone-like character here, but it hits the palate with full-bodied richness, fantastic mid-palate concentration, and a seamless, layered and multi-dimensional mouthfeel that’s hard to resist. Made from 67% Syrah and 33% Mourvedre and aged in 300- and 350-liter hogsheads (and fermented with varying degrees of whole cluster), this beautifully pure, polished and complex effort will benefit from short-term cellaring and have over 15 years of overall longevity. 2012 Kosta Browne "Koplen Vineyard" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Kosta Browne "Koplen Vineyard" Russian River Valley Pinot Noir (95CG, 93RP, 92ST, 91VN). Connoisseurs Guide: " *3 Stars* We are more than impressed by the new Kosta Browne line-up, and picking favorites from so many good wines is a difficult, if happy, task. That said this bottle is so well-balanced and generously endowed with definitive varietal fruit that it vies for a place at the head of class. Its themes of optimally ripened cherries are enriched with very sensible sweet oak, and it shows a slight bit of structural sinew under its ample flesh, but it is never heavy or in any way tough, and its future is as sure as a sure thing can be. 2012 Sine Qua Non "Stock" Central Coast Syrah
Bid on this bottle of 2012 Sine Qua Non "Stock" Central Coast Syrah ((97-99RP), 96AG). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The Syrah releases started with the 2012 Syrah Stock. Coming mostly from the Eleven Confessions vineyard in the Sta. Rita Hills, it also has portions from Cumulus, The Third Twin and White Hawk. Made from 84% Syrah, 7% Grenache, 6% Petite Sirah, 2% Viognier and the rest Mourvedre, it spent 20 months (it’s not yet bottled) in 52% new French oak. Showing the purity and suppleness of the vintage, yet with no lack of concentration, depth or richness, it gives up fabulous cassis, black raspberry, smoked meats and violet-like aromas and flavors that continue to change in the glass. In short, it’s a rock-star Syrah that could come from nowhere else. It should be approachable on release and evolve gracefully for two decades or more. (JD)" (08/2014)

2007 Hundred Acre "Deep Time" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2007 Hundred Acre "Deep Time" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP, 91ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Deep Time is gorgeous. The personality of the vintage is very well suited to the extended time in barrel (40-50 months) Woodbridge gives this wine. All the elements are in the right place. Rich, dark and sumptuous, the 2007 is totally seamless on the palate, yet at the same time, there is more than enough support from the tannins. This is yet another compelling, totally beguiling wine from Jayson Woodbridge. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2027. (AG)" (12/2012)

Bid on this bottle of 2001 Shafer "Hillside Select" Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP, 98WE, 96WS, 95CG, 95ST, 94W&S). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "I should not be surprised that the 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon Hillside Select merited a perfect rating since I rated it 99 eight years ago...The 2001 is a big wine (14.9% natural alcohol), but the alcohol is buried beneath an avalanche of creme de cassis, wood smoke, toast, licorice and spring flower characteristics. Super full-bodied with fabulous fruit purity, a broad, expansive mouthfeel, lots of glycerin and a huge upside, this 2001 is still an infant at age ten, but it is approachable as well as compelling to smell and taste. It has at least another three decades of aging potential ahead of it and is one of the great young, legendary classics from Napa Valley. It was a privilege to taste. There are approximately 2,000 cases of this cuvee which comes from Shafer’s hillside vineyards in the Stags Leap area and is aged 32 mont

2005 Domaine Louis Jadot Clos Vougeot Grand Cru
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2005 Domaine Louis Jadot Clos Vougeot Grand Cru ((93-95RP), (92-94BH), 94ST, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Charred meat, black currant, and wet stone characterize the bouquet of Jadot’s 2005 Clos Vougeot. Savory, salty, brightly-fruited and invigoratingly juicy on the palate, this displays more energy and acidity than I would have expected from the appellation. For all of the clarity and juiciness of this wine’s fruit, grilled meat and stony earthiness combined with the emergence of formidable tannins and subtle but persistent cyanic and iodine notes to turn its formidably long finish somewhat austere. But this is going to result in an exciting rendition of its terroir if left in the dark for at least 6-8 years. (DS)" (06/2007)

2012 Scarecrow Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2012 Scarecrow Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98RP, (93-96ST), 96VN, 95WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The classic 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon included fruit from the 2-acre, old vine parcel that is nearly 70 years of age. It boasts an opaque purple color as well as copious notes of spring flowers, blackberries, black raspberries and wet rocks. The wine’s gravelly minerality and spectacular opulence and density make it an instant classic. This massive, full-bodied 2012 should drink beautifully for 15-20+ years. It showed incredibly well last year, and it still reveals the potential to possibly merit a 3-digit score – it’s that special. (RP)" (10/2014)

1999 Jean Boillot Volnay 1er Cru "Les Fremiets"
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1999 Jean Boillot Volnay 1er Cru "Les Fremiets" (92ST, 91WS). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Bright ruby. Superripe but utterly sappy nose offers an essence of black berries. Very tightly wrapped but pure and precise, with a superb core of sappy fruits and spices. Here the new oak has been thoroughly absorbed by the wine sheer density of material. The creamy, silky texture is apparent on the palate-staining finish. "Less dry than the last wine," Boillot offers. 92+ (ST)" (03/2002)

Bid on this bottle of 2012 Bevan Cellars "Tin Box" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (97VN, 96RP). Vinous: "The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Tin Box, from a tiny site nestled among what many observers consider the most pedigreed part of Oakville, is utterly magnificent. Explosive and structured on the palate, the Tin Box hits the palate with intense blue and black fruit, spices, mocha, savory herbs, new leather and rose petal, but it is the wine's complexity and huge, eternal finish that stand out above all else. Readers who own the Tin Box can look forward to 15-20 years of absolutely thrilling drinking. This is a stunningly beautiful wine from Russell Bevan. (AG)" (01/2015)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2010 Cayuse "Cailloux Vineyard" Walla Walla Valley Syrah (98RP, 95ST, 95WS, 91WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Coming from a cold, late vintage where the Syrah didn’t ripen until the first part of October, the 2010 Syrah Cailloux Vineyard showed spectacularly in the retrospective. Inky purple in color, it gives up classic floral qualities intermixed with ample olive tapenade, black raspberry, lavender, orange blossom and pepper on the nose. This gives way to a full-bodied, sexy, seamless and yet always elegant Syrah that has juicy acidity and ripe tannin kicking in on the finish. This was the first vintage where they moved part of the élevage to foudre, and this spent 16 months in roughly 15% new French oak. (JD)" (06/2015)

Of the 2010 Torrin "The Maven" Paso Robles Grenache,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "One of the top Grenache-dominated efforts produced in the vintage, the 2010 Mavin is comprised of 82% Grenache and 18% Syrah that was aged in 30% new 500-liter barrels. It offers up spectacular notes of red and black fruits, dried licorice, roasted meats, toast and subtle chocolate nuances on the nose. On the palate, this full-bodied effort is brilliantly concentrated and rich, yet stays remarkably graceful and balanced, with nothing out of place and fantastic overall depth. It still has some oak to integrate, so give it another year or two in bottle; it will age effortlessly for 10-15 years. (JD)" (08/2013)

Of the 2002 Ojai "Roll Ranch" California Syrah ,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The 2002 Syrah Roll Ranch possesses the blue/black color characteristic of this vineyard. The in-your-face, full-throttle, blue and blackberry fruit intermixed with a hint of espresso roast are followed by oodles of blue and black fruit flavors. This is viscous, voluptuous Syrah at its finest. A low acid, opulent, juicy, thick effort, it should be immensely gratifying to drink over the next 10-12 years. (RP)" (08/2004)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2002 Peter Michael "Les Pavots" Knights Valley Bordeaux Blend (99RP, 94ST, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A great, great success...the 2002 Les Pavots, which I loved from barrel as well as bottle, still has a good 20+ years of life ahead of it. At this point, it is tasting like a vigorous young adolescent in its evolutionary development... Inky black/purple, with a nose of incense, licorice, balsamic and Asian soy notes interwoven with blackberry, blueberry and hints of truffle and camphor, this wine is full-bodied, opulent and voluptuously textured, with sensational mid-palate, depth and richness. This is a killer Bordeaux-styled, ripe, exuberant, flamboyant red from Peter Michael that stands as one of the all-time great Les Pavots cuvees ever made. The intense and strikingly pure flavors ooze a fine and relatively discreet minerality, all wrapped in a tautly muscled, balanced and persistent finish. Bid on this magnum of 2011 Levy & McClellan Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (OWC - (93-95ST), (90-93RP), 93VN) in original wood. Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Bright ruby-red. Black fruits, licorice and mocha on the nose. Dense, sweet and deep, showing compelling energy and early harmony to the dark fruit and floral flavors. At once primary and pliant owing to its layered texture. The rich, thoroughly ripe tannins dust the front teeth on the very long back end. Levy and McClellan ferment this wine entirely in barrel (most of it Taransaud oak) to build its middle palate and soften its naturally strong tannins. The wine is typically low in acidity due to the high level of potassium in this volcanic soil but this 2012 comes across as bright. Outstanding potential here. (ST)" (05/2014)

The wine has an inky, opaque, plum/purple color and a stunningly rich nose of mulberries, bramble berries, blackberries, licorice and incense as well as touches of toast and graphite. Of the 1995 Beringer "Private Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "Made from Bancroft Ranch (34%), Tre Colline (36%), Chabot (19%) and the rest from the St. Helena Home Vineyard, the 1995 is not as complex as the 1994, but it is loaded with fruit. Still an adolescent in its development, it possesses a dense purple color along with a big, sweet bouquet of blackberries and cassis, a youthful mouthfeel, good acidity, full body, abundant fruit and glycerin and a long, heady finish. This vintage was somewhat forgotten because of all the hype surrounding 1994, but it has turned out to be a great one for Bordeaux varietals in Napa. This stunn

2008 Domaine Jamet Côte-Rôtie
Bid on this bottle of 2008 Domaine Jamet Côte-Rôtie (92ST, 91WS). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Vivid red. Highly fragrant, displaying scents of red berries, rose and baking spices, with a hint of white pepper. Smells like a sexy Burgundy. Lithe and precise raspberry and cherry flavors show a suave blend of sweetness and energy, with zesty acidity adding lift. Finishes on a nervy mineral note, with an excellent, floral-dominated persistence. I underestimated this wine when I tasted it last year. (JR)" (02/2011)

1986 La Lagune, Haut-Médoc
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1986 La Lagune, Haut-Médoc (91RP, 89WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This wine continues to get better and better, yet is still not close to full maturity, despite what I would have thought 16 years ago. The wine has a dense, dark plum/ruby color with just a bit of lightening at the edge. A sweet nose of black cherries intermixed with balsam wood, vanilla, and Provencal herbs has an almost Rhone-like character to it. The wine is medium to full-bodied, rich, with a lot of flesh, light to moderate tannin, and great balance and purity. (RP)" (01/2003)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Crafted from 40 year old vines, this wine is dark-colored and possesses an expressive nose of violets, cassis, and blueberries. This broad, concentrated, extracted, and exceptional wine is crammed with layer after layer of fresh, splendidly ripe cassis and black cherries. Its long supple finish is intermingled with stones and minerals. (PR)" (08/1998)

2013 Purlieu Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2013 Purlieu Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Purlieu was aged in 70% new French oak for 22 months. This just has a Napa appellation, but is very concentrated -- even profoundly so -- and I have to argue that it's even deeper, richer and potentially even finer than the Martinez Vineyard from Pritchard Hill. Very long, impressive and intense, this looks to be a great value in the scheme of Napa Cabernet pricing. It is also no shy wine at 15.5% alcohol. This is a big-time sleeper of the vintage. Drink now-2030. (RP)" (12/2015)

Of the 2013 Purlieu "Teucer Vineyard" Coombsville Cabernet Sauvignon,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "From a vineyard I have never seen before, the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Teucer Vineyard from Coombsville, is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from clone 7. This brings up the earthier, mineral side of Napa Cabernet. Dense purple, the wine is rich, layered, almost gravel-like, with notes of stones, damp earth, forest floor and oodles of black fruits. This is a big, brawny, masculine style of Cabernet Sauvignon to forget for 5-6 years and drink over the following 20 or more." (12/2015)

2006 Domaine Bruno Clair Bonnes Mares Grand Cru
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2006 Domaine Bruno Clair Bonnes Mares Grand Cru ((91-94BH)). Allen Meadows gives this 91-94 points and writes: "(the first vintage since 1984). A discreet touch of wood spice highlights the brooding red pinot fruit aromas as well as the serious, earthy, rich and mouth coating flavors that possess ample dry extract, conferring a textured and sappy character to the detailed, precise and very firm finish. The tannins are ripe however and while notably present, they are not aggressive. An impressive debut." (Burghound, 01/08)

1978 William Hill Mt. Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1978 William Hill Mt. Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon (92RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This winery's debut release is also its best wine to date. The nose, which is subdued, has not been as beaten up by sterile filtration as some of the more recent vintages. Spicy, with vividly pure cassis aromas, this rich, concentrated, generously endowed wine is big and highly extracted. While not yet fully mature, it is quite enjoyable to drink. (RP)" (04/1992)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2011 Harlan "The Maiden" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (91RP, 91ST, 91VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The Maiden is fashioned from barrels not deemed rich or complex enough for the Harlan Estate (a true first-growth wine). The supple, delicious, fruit-forward 2011 The Maiden exhibits lots of sweet black cherries intermixed with hints of caramel and vanillin, an attractive, medium to full-bodied texture and good opulence as well as softness. James Suckling: "Breathtaking aromas of blueberry, wet earth, black truffle, vine bark and lavender undertones. Full-bodied, yet tight and compressed with fabulous savory and dark fruit flavors. It lasts for minutes on the finish. The classicism in this wine is second to none. Incredible subtlety. Lovely austerity. Beauty in simplicity. 2012 Caymus "40th Anniversary" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1L)
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Caymus "40th Anniversary" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1L) (96RP, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "I am old enough to remember Chuck Wagner and his father, who I first met at Caymus in the late seventies. This is clearly one of Napa Valley’s iconic wineries, as well as one that, amazingly, never went through a bad patch. Obviously, no matter which generation is in the driver’s seat (or should I say tractor’s seat), Caymus Vineyard knows how to deliver flavor and deliciousness. They appear to be immune to some of winedom’s less than intelligent trends and fads that we see from time to time, and the result is a spectacular 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon 40th Anniversary offering. Its dense purple/black color is followed by copious quantities of crème de cassis and blackberry fruit, silky tannins, a voluptuous texture and stunning purity as well as length. This full-bodied effort is a fabulous example of Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon as well as a tribute

1962 Ridge Vineyards "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 1962 Ridge Vineyards "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon. Ridge wine is made with an emphasis on quality and naturalness that is rarely attempted. Our grapes are grown in select vineyards (usually identified on the label), where they are left to ripen to peak maturity, often at some loss of quantity. We let the wine settle and age in small barrels, with only rare cellar treatment other than racking. Varieties are not blended unless so indicated on the label. Near Black Mountain on Monte Bello Ridge, our main vineyard is 10 miles south of Palo Alto, 15 miles inland from the ocean, and over 2000 feet in elevation.

2009 Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2009 Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (99RP, 98WE, 96WS, 95ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon (98% Cabernet Sauvignon and 2% Merlot) is a ripe, flamboyant and brilliantly proportioned effort that oozes kirsch, licorice, lead pencil shavings and dried spice on the nose. Showing the perfume and headiness of the vintage, it nevertheless stays vibrant and lively on the palate while delivering layers of fruit and texture. While formidably structured and tannic, it can be enjoyed now due to the overall tannin quality and purity of fruit. It will evolve and drink well for over two decades. (JD)" (06/2013)

2001 Sine Qua Non "Midnight Oil" California Syrah
Bid on this bottle of 2001 Sine Qua Non "Midnight Oil" California Syrah (96RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The impeccable 2001 Midnight Oil (95.5% Syrah, 3% Grenache, and 1.5% Viognier) is a product of four vineyards, Alban, Stolpman, Bien Nacido, and White Hawk. The good news is there are 950 cases of this compelling effort. With a 'midnight' black color, and the viscosity of 10-W-40 oil, its aromas of violet/acacia flowers, melted licorice, camphor, blackberries, creme de cassis, and subtle toasty new oak are accompanied by a wine boasting terrific texture, good underlying acidity, ripe tannin, and a 60-second plus finish. This stunning effort competes with the 2000, and what looks to be Krankl’s greatest Syrah-based wine to date, the 2002. (RP)" (08/2003)
