2007 Hundred Acre "Kayli Morgan" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2007 Hundred Acre "Kayli Morgan" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP, 96ST, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A profound wine from a superb Napa vintage for Bordeaux varietals, the 2007’s nose may cause one to overdose on blue, black and red berry fruit. The extraordinary intensity, purity and depth in this rich, flamboyant, exuberant wine are mindboggling. This bigger-than-life Cabernet Sauvignon appears set for 20-30 years of aging. It can be drunk now, but because of its sweet, velvety tannins, it will still be offering sensational drinking in 2040. (RP)" (06/2012)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1997 Joseph Phelps "Insignia" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (100RP, 97WS, 95WE, 94ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "An inky/plum/purple color is accompanied by a stunning bouquet of violets, charcoal, creme de cassis and a hint of toast. Prodigious when it hits the palate with a full-bodied expansiveness, there is not a hard edge to be found in the 1997, only velvety tannins, compelling depth and fruit intensity, and stunning purity. It is a perfect expression of Napa viticulture and wine that should continue to age effortlessly for two decades or more. (RP)" (11/2013)

2012 Bryant Family Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2012 Bryant Family Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98RP, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Bryant’s flagship wine, the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon from the estate vineyard on Pritchard Hill offers a rare but magnificent forest floor/floral aromatic profile with lavishly rich, ripe notes of crème de cassis, blueberry and black raspberry liqueur. Fleshy, opulent, full-bodied and multidimensional, it conceals some significant tannins behind its wealth of extract and fruit. From a first-growth quality, hillside vineyard (13 acres), this 100% Cabernet Sauvignon is gorgeously pure as well as impeccably well-balanced with a seamless integration of tannin, acidity, alcohol and wood. In fact, the new oak component, which is significant, is largely obliterated by the wine’s stunning fruit. This majestic Cabernet Sauvignon should age effortlessly for 25-30 years. (RP)" (12/2014)

It possesses that tell-tale Silver Oak, lavishly oaky, Provencal herb, sweet, smoky, jammy black-cherry and cassis-scented nose. 1997 Opus One Napa Valley Proprietary Red
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1997 Opus One Napa Valley Proprietary Red (95AG, 94WS). Antonio Galloni: "The 1997 Opus One tastes like it was made yesterday, not 16 years ago. One of the most opulent, racy wines in this vertical, the 1997 literally explodes from the glass. Juicy dark red cherries, menthol, tobacco and licorice all make an appearance as the 1997 opens up over time. Readers holding the 1997 are in for a thrill. Even though the growing season was defined by hot weather, a short maturation cycle and a large crop, the wine turned out beautifully. In 1997 the blend is 82% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Cabernet Franc, 5% Merlot, 4% Malbec and 1% Petit Verdot, a first for Opus One. (AG)" (06/2013)

This ambitious operation aims to produce world-class wines from tightly-spaced, high elevation, cool climate vineyards in the Santa Cruz Mountains...The commitment to minimal organic and, if possible, biodynamic farming, naturally low yields, and hands-off winemaking are further evidence of the passion this estate possesses...The wines seem to possess considerable structure, and in their youth, they may only hint at

It possesses a striking, intense, rocky minerality, an opaque purple color, and deep, beautiful aromas of camphor, spring flowers, blueberries and black raspberry fruit. This is another Howell Mountain Vineyard that has produced 350 cases of wine (16.2% alcohol) that, aromatically, reminded me (of a) superb Pomerol. 1989 Dominus Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1989 Dominus Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (92RP, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1989 is undoubtedly the Cabernet Sauvignon of the vintage. The color is a dark ruby/purple and the nose offers up sweet, fragrant scents of black fruits, cedar, herbs, and spicy wood. In the mouth, there is extraordinary concentration, medium to full body, and an authoritatively rich, lingering finish. Terroirists will have a difficult time explaining why the wine tastes more like a Pomerol than Napa Cabernet. Interestingly, Moueix stated the key to his success in 1989 was to wait six to seven days after the rains had stopped before harvesting so the vines could shed their excess moisture. The 7,000 cases of this wine that were produced will be released in the fall of 1993. (RP)" (10/1993)

There is an extra line on its label honoring Chateau Montelena's 20th Cabernet Sauvignon vintage (1972-1992). The wine's opaque ruby/purple color is followed by a sweet, jammy nose of black fruit and minerals, huge body, a sweet inner-core of ripe fruit, and a long, low acid, opulent finish. Bid on this bottle of 2010 Spottswoode "Family Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP, 96VN, 94ST, 93WS, 91CG). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The brilliant 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon boasts an inky/purple color as well as glorious aromas of spring flowers, lead pencil shavings, licorice and a multitude of wild mountain fruits, in particular black raspberry, blackberry and cassis reminiscent of a French Pauillac (although I always think of Spottswoode as the Chateau Margaux of Napa). Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1997 Peter Michael "Les Pavots" Knights Valley Bordeaux Blend (96RP, 92ST, 92W&S, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1997 Les Pavots originates from a hillside vineyard overlooking the Knight's Valley that has 23 acres planted with Bordeaux varietals. The 1997 blend consists of 79% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Merlot, and 9% Cabernet Franc. The wine was aged in French oak (50% new), and bottled without filtration. Fortunately, there are 4,351 cases of 750 ml bottles, as well as 330 cases of magnums. A blue/black/purple color is followed by an extraordinary bouquet of toast, blackberries, creme de cassis, licorice, and cedar. Full-bodied, with silky tannin, low acidity, and layers of concentrated, pure black fruits judiciously wrapped in subtle toasty oak, this wine can be drunk early, but promises to hit its peak in 5-7 years, and last for two or more decades." Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2011 Kosta Browne "Pisoni Vineyard" Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot Noir (93ST, 92RP, 92VN, 92WS). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Dark ruby. Potent, palate-staining black raspberry and cherry compote flavors are enlivened by juicy acidity and become spicier with air. At almost twenty years of age, it has matured gracefully. 1966 Charles Krug "Vintage Selection" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1966 Charles Krug "Vintage Selection" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Eric Asimov, The New York Times: "The aroma, with its intimations of tobacco and graphite, suggested a good Pauillac, with an added touch of anise. It was lovely and graceful, tangy and deliciously fresh despite the years, and the flavors persisted in the mouth. Beautiful. It was a 1966 Charles Krug Vintage Selection Cabernet Sauvignon, the top-of-the-line wine from this historic Napa Valley producer, and if the wine was a great pleasure, I can’t say it was a great surprise...The Krug wines of the ’60s bear little resemblance to today’s Napa Cabs. It’s not just that they were so much lower in alcohol - 12 percent or so with a high in 1966 of 12.8. The wines were also fermented in open-top tanks made of redwood, a traditional material in California going back to the 19th century." (10/2011)

A terrific bouquet of acacia flowers, blueberries and blackberries is followed by a layered, opulent, rich, fleshy wine with loads of fruit, sweet tannin and excellent purity as well as length. This is a stunning example of the heights that Behrens Family Winery can achieve. " (04/2014)

2001 Vérité "Le Désir" Sonoma County Red Wine
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2001 Vérité "Le Désir" Sonoma County Red Wine (97RP, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2001 Le Desir (50% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Franc, 9% Cabernet Sauvignon and 1% Malbec) came from Alexander Valley Mountain Estate fruit (two-thirds), 30% from Chalk Hill and a tiny dollop from Knight’s Valley. The most evolved of these three wines, it exhibits complex notes of spring flowers, underbrush, truffles, forest floor, camphor and red as well as black fruits. It possesses an opulent, full-bodied mouthfeel, fabulous purity and density and a long finish. The finish for all three of these wines lasts for close to a minute. Each represents extraordinary craftsmanship and, essentially, vinous confirmation of the vision of the late Jess Jackson. Those who think too many California wines are over the top may be surprised to know that the 2001 La Muse has a pH of 3.63 and a 'real' natural alcohol of 14.1%. La Joie’s pH is 3.65 and its alcohol is 14.2%, and Le Desir’

It possesses terrific acidity, a striking terroir-based minerality, and beautiful delineation as well as purity. This is a large-scaled yet remarkably fresh wine with the balance and grace of a world-class ballerina. Enjoy it over the next decade. (RP)" (12/2007)

1996 Shafer "Hillside Select" Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 1996 Shafer "Hillside Select" Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon (95CG, 93RP, 93ST, 92WS). Connoisseurs Guide: "Back on track after its relatively austere showing the year prior, Hillside Select rebounds in 1996 with one of its richest, most succulent renditions to date. Currants, black cherries and sweet oak abound still, and the wine does a fine balancing act between being slightly supple and polished and still having an appropriate backbone of varietal tannins. It outdoes the vintage in terms of its richness and range and sheer wealth of fruit, and it has the right pieces in all the right places to grow for a good many years. " (03/2007)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2008 Colgin "IX Estate" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (OWC - 99JS, 99WE, 96RP, 94ST, 93WS) in original wood. Wine Enthusiast: "This is an absolutely beautiful wine to drink now, but the richness comes at the price of considerable alcohol. The color is dark and impenetrable, the aromas huge in Cabernet-inspired blackberries and black currants, with a touch of something herbal and also a stony minerality. There’s also a fascinating peatiness, like an Islay Scotch. It really opens up in the glass, becoming ever more complex. It’s great Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, but that high alcohol may limit its ageability." (10/2012)

1994 Bryant Family Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 1994 Bryant Family Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98RP, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A potentially perfect wine, the 1994 Cabernet Sauvignon boasts a fabulous nose of cassis, cream, blueberries, violets, minerals, and spice. It smells like a hypothetical blend of a great vintage of L'Evangile, Clinet, and Mouton-Rothschild. The opaque purple/black color is followed by a full-bodied wine stacked and packed with fruit, glycerin, and extract. No component part is out of place in this formidably endowed, remarkably well-balanced wine. The purity, richness, sweetness and depth of fruit suggest that the wine's potential is limitless. Much like its cellarmate, the 1994 Colgin Cabernet Sauvignon (also made by Helen Turley), the Bryant Family Vineyard's 1994 should evolve into one of California's legendary Cabernets. It will age effortlessly for 25-30 years." (12/1996)
