2012 Rhys "Swan Terrace" Santa Cruz Mountains Pinot Noir
Bid on this bottle of 2012 Rhys "Swan Terrace" Santa Cruz Mountains Pinot Noir (95RP, 94ST, 93BH, 93VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "From a steep slope located between 1,210 and 1,300 feet above sea level, the 2012 Pinot Noir Swan Terrace shows lots of whole-cluster influence in its ground pepper, black cherry, wood smoke and forest floor/autumn leaf-driven personality. Hitting the palate with medium to full-bodied richness, bright acidity and plenty of concentration and tannic grip, this is a serious, structured and Burgundian Pinot Noir from this team that has the depth and class to evolve nicely for another decade or more. 95+ points. 2011 Myriad "Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2011 Myriad "Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (93VN, 90RP). Vinous: "The 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard is super-impressive. Pliant and generous on the palate, the 2011 offers notable depth, no hard edges and fabulous purity of fruit, all extremely rare at this level in 2011, a cold, late-ripening vintage. Then again, Dr. Crane, a valley site in St. Helena, is one of Napa Valley's top vineyards. Sweet red plum, rose petal, spice and mint wrap around the open-knit finish. (AG)" (08/2015)

2015 Aubert "Lauren Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay
Bid on this bottle of 2015 Aubert "Lauren Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay ((97-100RP), 97VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2015 Chardonnay Lauren Estate, from 17-year-old vines of primarily the Old Wente and Mt. Eden clones (but in the famous Goldridge soils that are so vital in the Russian River Valley), was the slowest to ferment, although it offers great acids, loads of nectarine and tangerine, honeysuckle, white currants, and no evidence of the 100% new oak it was aged in. This is another sensational effort, and like most Laurens will probably age for 10-15 or more years. (RP)" (10/2016)

2012 The Debate "Beckstoffer Missouri Hopper Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 The Debate "Beckstoffer Missouri Hopper Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95RP, 93JS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Missouri Hopper Vineyard exhibits more chocolate, graphite, forest floor and earthy notes as well as plenty of blackberry and cassis fruit, a full-bodied mouthfeel, striking intensity, and a profound, majestic, skyscraper-like mouthfeel. It is another remarkable effort from this Beckstoffer-owned vineyard. Just so you know, if Andy Beckstoffer does make Forbes’ billionaire list, he will have made it the hard way – he will have earned it. Look for this distinctive, earthy, Graves-like Missouri Hopper to age well for 15+ years. (RP)" (10/2014)

Bid on this 3-half-bottle lot of 2007 Beringer "Private Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (375ml) (97RP, 93VN, 92CG, 91W&S, 91WS, 90JS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of the finest Private Reserves made over the last two decades, this phenomenal wine is obviously still an infant in terms of development, but it exhibits a dense purple color as well as an extraordinary nose of blackberries, white chocolate, licorice, tobacco leaf, smoky barbecue, charcoal and a burning ember-like note reminiscent of a Graves from Bordeaux. A dense, luscious, full-bodied, opulent style, with sweet tannin, this locked and loaded, intense, full throttle Private Reserve should be accessible in 5-6 years and last for 25-30. Finishes with a dash of mocha and spice. (2005)"

Bid on this bottle of 2009 Marcassin "Marcassin Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (98RP, 97WS, 92VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Pinot Noir Marcassin Vineyard is a gorgeous, clearly California version of a grand cru from Burgundy, such as Clos Saint-Denis or Clos de la Roche. This deep plum/garnet-colored wine offers intense berry fruit along with forest floor, spice box, earth and loads of plum, cherry and strawberry notes, moving toward darker fruits, as well as earthy, autumnal, foresty scents. The wine is full-bodied, with great intensity, sweet tannins and good acidity. Drink it over the next decade or more. (RP)" (08/2015)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2001 Joseph Phelps "Insignia" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (98RP, 96WE, 95ST, 95W&S, 93CG). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Still a young wine at age 12, the 2001 Insignia exhibits a dense purple color along with a sweet bouquet of camphor, blackberries, cassis, incense and spring flowers. Full-bodied, rich and heady with sweet tannin, stunning concentration and a fabulous finish, this remarkable Insignia has 25 or more years of life ahead of it. 98+ Points (RP)" (11/2013)

2005 Peter Michael "Les Pavots" Knights Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2005 Peter Michael "Les Pavots" Knights Valley Bordeaux Blend (95RP, 93ST, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2005 Les Pavots (3,600 cases of 63% Cabernet Sauvignon, 23% Cabernet Franc, 12% Merlot, and the rest Petit Verdot) is a sensational wine, with a style that suggests a hypothetical blend of a great St.-Emilion and Pomerol. Chocolatey cassis notes intermixed with incense, licorice, and a hint of black olive are present in this wine. When it hits the palate, it comes across as very Pomerol-like, with lushness, full body, and opulence. The tannins are sweet, the pH high, and the wine gorgeously full, pure, dense, and long. It’s a terrific example of non-interventionalist winemaking that has turned out a beautiful, silky-textured wine that should age effortlessly for 15+ years. Like so many 2005s, this wine has really put on weight since I tasted it last year. (RP)" (12/2007)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Lotus, which is 93% Cabernet Sauvignon and 7% Petit Verdot, was harvested much earlier, October 9-18, and aged 25 months in French oak (more than 90% new). There are only 300 cases of this wine, which has a striking floral nose with hints of licorice, burning embers, incense, blueberry and blackberry liqueur. It’s powerful, lightly tannic, extravagantly rich and a great classic from a fabulous terroir and impeccable winemaking and élevage. Drink it over the next 20+ years. (RP)" (10/2014)

2011 Sine Qua Non "Patine - Eleven Confessions Vineyard" Santa Rita Hills Grenache
Bid on this bottle of 2011 Sine Qua Non "Patine - Eleven Confessions Vineyard" Santa Rita Hills Grenache (97RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Coming all from Manfred's Eleven Confessions Vineyard in the Sta. Rita Hills and a blend of 77% Grenache, 22% Syrah and 1% Viognier (fermented with 25% whole clusters), the 2011 Grenache Patine spent a full 33 months in almost all neutral oak, with just 11% being new. It offers perfumed and spice-laced notes of white pepper, black raspberry, blackberry and ground herbs that flow to a full-bodied, elegant, nicely concentrated 2011 that has nicely integrated acidity, no hard edges and a terrific finish. It's certainly one of the fresher, more elegant Grenaches from Manfred, yet it still has rocking levels of fruit. Give it 2-3 years of cellaring and enjoy bottles over the following decade. Dense, fat and smoky in the mouth, with pliant flavors of musky red berries, black plum, licorice and tar. Offers lovely volume and sweetness, and the creamy texture that the pH of 4.1 would suggest. 2008 Sine Qua Non "The Line" California Grenache
Bid on this bottle of 2008 Sine Qua Non "The Line" California Grenache (98RP, 97VN, 95JS, 95WS, 94ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This wine was just released in April of this year, and is a blend of 87.5% Grenache, 11% Syrah, and 1.5% Viognier, with 21% whole clusters used in the Grenache component. Seventy-eight percent of it came from the 11 Confessions Vineyard and the balance from Bien Nacido and the White Hawk. It is no measly wine at 15.5% alcohol, but it displays extraordinary berry fruit and kirsch notes intermixed with lavender and other floral components. Intense, full-bodied, voluptuously textured, and stunningly pure, with no real noticeable oak (21% new French oak was used, most of it the larger demi-muids), this beauty has put on weight and is showing additional complexity since I first tasted it. 2014 Outpost Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2014 Outpost Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon (95RP). The color is opaque to the rim, and the wine full-bodied, with the blue fruits dominating on the palate. It has a finish of a good 40-45 seconds. Tannins are moderate, but very sweet and well-integrated. It should drink well for 20 years or more. (RP)" (10/2016)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2011 Kistler "Kistler Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (94RP, 94VN, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2011 Pinot Noir Kistler Vineyard (made primarily from the Calera clone), which sees one-third new oak and is 100% destemmed, possesses lots of raspberry and black cherry fruit intermixed with hints of underbrush and forest floor, and a nice meatiness to its texture. There has been a progressive trend by Kistler’s winemaking team and owners to harvest at slightly lower sugars, back off slightly on the percentage of new oak used, and bottle their wines earlier. All of this is designed to preserve as much fruit and freshness in the wines as possible. (RP)" (12/2013)

Of the 2010 Saxum "Bone Rock - James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Syrah,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: " ... Sporting absolutely off-the-hook aromas of smoked meats, black fruits, liquid mineral, pepper, and cigar wrapper, it flows onto the palate with a thick, incredibly rich texture that somehow manages to stay light and fresh. A total behemoth, it needs time to fully flesh out, yet is up there with some of the most monumental young wines I’ve tasted. Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2014 Kosta Browne "Gap's Crown Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (94RP, 90VN, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Coming from steep, rocky soils on the Sonoma Coast, the 2014 Pinot Noir Gap's Crown Vineyard was brought up in 25% new French oak, 16% concrete and the rest in old barrels. All of the Pinot Noirs here go into barrel dry and see malolactic fermentation in barrel. 2005 Vineyard 29 Cabernet Sauvignon 29 Estate
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2005 Vineyard 29 Cabernet Sauvignon 29 Estate (99RP, 94VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A tiny production (674 cases) of the 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon 29 Estates is pure, 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from the famous Richard Grace clone of Cabernet Sauvignon. It had a 44-day maceration before the wine was aged 19 months in 90% new French oak. This wine performed better at ten years than it did initially. The dense, ruby/purple color remains youthful and younger than one would expect for a 10-year-old wine. The opaqueness goes right to the rim, the aromatics are stunning, and it offers a gorgeous display of blueberry, black raspberry and creme de cassis along with licorice, a touch of vanilla and graphite. This is one of the great superstars of 2005, which I underrated it from barrel as well as after it was released. It still has at least another 15-20 years of aging potential. (RP)" (06/2015)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2013 Aubert "Eastside Vineyard" Russian River Valley Chardonnay (100RP, 95VN, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2013 Chardonnay Eastside is from a vineyard owned by Ulises Valdez, and planted with the Montrachet clone on the very low-yielding rootstock called riparia gloire. This wine displays terrific intensity, plenty of stony minerality, and great precision in its notes of subtle white peach, pineapple, almond paste, brioche and crème brûlée. This is a killer wine and a perfect example of 2013 Chardonnay at its best. I never thought this wine could hit this peak, but the proof is in the tasting, and the wine, which was somewhat shy and reserved after bottling, has truly come to life over the last three to four months. 2010 Cain "Five" Spring Mountain District Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this bottle of 2010 Cain "Five" Spring Mountain District Bordeaux Blend. In basic terms, Cain "Five" is just that: the estate's top blend of Bordeaux varietals, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Petit Verdot. The exact percentages of each are listed on the label, but that, as winemaker Chris Howell will tell you, does not explain anything. While it may seem like everybody talks a big game about their terroir, a lot of wineries are playing the point-score game, too, with heavily extracted wines from late-harvested grapes--a scene that Cain has quietly excused itself from--although James Suckling found his way to the 2009 Cain Five, and scored it 96 points! The real story is in the vineyards, which face east toward the Napa Valley below, and are just barely sheltered from the Pacific westerlies by a mountain ridge. By picking not early, but just in time, in his view, Howell has taken Cain's Cabernet blends to a new level of savory flavors and complexity.

Of the 2010 Corison Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon,Vinous writes: " The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon is drop-dead gorgeous. An intense, reticent wine, the 2010 is endowed with serious density, depth and structure. This is one of the most powerful, tightly coiled wines of the year. It will require considerable time in bottle but all the elements are in the right place. Plums, iron, cloves, violets, licorice and smoke all flesh out on the firm, structured finish. This is a fabulous wine with a great future, a superb effort from Cathy Corison. (AG)" (11/2013)

Bid on this bottle of 2007 Ridge Vineyards "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon (97JS, 94ST, 94W&S, 92RP, 92WS). James Suckling: "Blueberries, currants and flowers. The nose just pops out. Intense. Full body, with a round and velvety tannin structure and lots of currants, ripe strawberries. Very intense every. Black pepper at the finish. Muscular yet toned. Very structured yet balanced. This needs a minimum of four to five years of aging. Paul Draper says that perhaps this is as great as the legendary 1991. Made for aging." (05/2012)

Bid on this bottle of 2012 Stag's Leap Wine Cellars "Fay" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95WE, 94RP, 93WS, 92VN). Wine Enthusiast: " *Editors’ Choice* From the vineyard that helped propel the appellation’s reputation into the stratosphere, this wine delivers both in terms of its historical significance, but also in present-day refinement and complexity. A flinty, earthy layer of black truffle and coffee open the aromatic profile of the wine before offering bold, brawny flavors of leather and black currant. The oak is well integrated and the tannins sizable yet behaved. This is a beautiful wine. (VB)" (06/2015)

Of the 2012 Sine Qua Non "Rattrapante - Eleven Confessions Vineyard" Santa Rita Hills Grenache, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "A perfect wine any way you look at it, the 2012 Grenache Rattrapante comes all from the Eleven Confessions Vineyard in the Sta. Rita Hills and spent 33 months in 27% new French oak. My notes start - and end - with “Wow.” Giving up tons of black raspberries, peppery herbs, licorice, dried flowers and cured meats, it’s a massively concentrated, rich and layered Grenache that somehow manages to stay graceful, lively and fresh on the palate ... Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2007 Beaulieu Vineyard "Georges de Latour Private Reserve" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (95RP, 93CG, 93ST, 93WE, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The phenomenal 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Private Reserve Georges de Latour is the greatest BV Private Reserve made since the 1970 and 1968. The good news is 11,000 cases were produced. The return of this superb Napa classic is fabulous news, and the brilliance of this wine is evidenced by its opaque purple color and its big, sweet, blackberry, cassis, subtle smoke, graphite, and spicy oak-scented nose. Dense and full-bodied with sweet but substantial tannins, thrilling levels of concentration, texture, and richness, and a heady finish, this wine will benefit from 4-5 years of bottle age, and last three decades or more. It’s time to once again fill your cellars with the BV Private Reserve, one of the historic names in California wine folklore. (RP)" (10/2009)

Of the 2007 Pahlmeyer Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The sensational 2007 Proprietary Red Wine (a 7,000-case blend of 82% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, and Malbec) is slightly more restrained aromatically than the Merlot, but there is no doubting its extraordinary bouquet of subtle smoked meats, oak, mountain wild flowers, blueberries, blackberries, coffee, and cassis. Super-rich and full-bodied with noticeable, but stunningly sweet tannins, it possesses a rare minerality and definition, characteristics that seem to be found across the board in Napa’s 2007s ... 2013 Hundred Acre "Kayli Morgan" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2013 Hundred Acre "Kayli Morgan" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The perfect 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Kayli Morgan spent 32 months in French oak prior to being bottled unfiltered. Like all of the Woodbridge wines, it can be noted for its inky/bluish purple color, extraordinary fragrance of white flowers, crème de cassis, blackberry and graphite. Totally opulent, I always thought the wine tasted more like the great Pomerols, which are made mostly from Merlot, versus Woodbridge’s 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. But this vineyard has a lot of clay in it that seems to provide a silkiness to the tannins. This is a beautifully balanced, full-throttle and highly extracted wine with no hard edges and a finish of a good 45-50 seconds. The fruit character is still vibrant and intense, despite the 32 months of oak age. Drink it over the next 30 years. (RP)" (10/2016)

2009 Aubert "Reuling Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2009 Aubert "Reuling Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (95RP, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Pinot Noir Reuling Vineyard emerges from the glass with freshly cut flowers, spices, tar, black cherries and plums. High-toned floral notes add lift and brightness throughout. Hints of sweet herbs and tobacco wrap around the finish. The Reuling is planted with the Calera clone and a suitcase clone from Vosne-Romanee, which in this vintage seems to give the wine an exotic, spiced dimension that is totally intriguing. Abundant notes of black raspberries, blueberries and cassis emerge from this full-bodied, rich Cabernet. There is no evidence of dilution or herbaceousness. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Rhys "Horseshoe Vineyard" Santa Cruz Mountains Pinot Noir (95ST, 94RP, 94VN, 91BH). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Ruby-red. Explosively perfumed cherry-cola, dark berry liqueur, incense and mineral aromas show superb clarity and depth, with a sexy floral quality building with air. Offers palate-staining black raspberry and spicecake flavors that become sweeter and deeper with air. This rich but strikingly lithe and tensile pinot deftly plays power and depth off of vivacity and finishes sweet, youthfully tannic and extremely long. One of the most impressive Pinots I've tasted from the New World, or Burgundy for that matter, in quite a while. (ST)" (05/2014)

2012 Caymus "40th Anniversary" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Caymus "40th Anniversary" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "They appear to be immune to some of winedom’s less than intelligent trends and fads that we see from time to time, and the result is a spectacular 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon 40th Anniversary offering. Its dense purple/black color is followed by copious quantities of crème de cassis and blackberry fruit, silky tannins, a voluptuous texture and stunning purity as well as length. This full-bodied effort is a fabulous example of Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon as well as a tribute to this amazing family. It is so good now, why wait? However, I’m sure that like most vintages of Caymus, it will last for 20-25 years. Amazing! (RP)" (10/2014)

2009 Calera "Mills Vineyard" Mt. Harlan Pinot Noir
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2009 Calera "Mills Vineyard" Mt. Harlan Pinot Noir (95RP, 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A deceptively medium-bodied wine, the 2009 Pinot Noir Mills Vineyard possesses stunning balance of fruit, acidity and structure, along with superb integration of the whole clusters. There is a mid-palate pliancy and richness to the 2009 that is simply breathtaking. The Mills is all about elegance. Hints of pine, menthol and chalk linger in the empty glass. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2024. Readers who want to experience the finest Pinot Noirs being made in California should put Calera at or near the top of their lists. The 2009s are simply breathtaking in their beauty. I am not sure why I was so blown away by the estate’s 2009s, as the entry-level 2009 Central Coast Pinot I reviewed last year provided more than enough clues as to the quality of the rest of the lineup. Based on that wine, I should have known what to expect. Congratulations to proprietor Josh Jensen
