2013 Peter Michael "La Carriere" Knights Valley Chardonnay
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2013 Peter Michael "La Carriere" Knights Valley Chardonnay (98RP, 96JS, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2013 Chardonnay La Carrière is unbelievable. Production was almost 900 cases less than in 2014, and you can see it in the concentration of honeysuckle, orange marmalade, white currant, white peach and mineral notes. This magnificent, full-bodied Chardonnay should also last at least a decade. (RP)" (12/2015)

2012 Sine Qua Non "In the Abstract" Proprietary White Blend
Bid on this bottle of 2012 Sine Qua Non "In the Abstract" Proprietary White Blend (97RP, 95JS, 94VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "In the same league, the 2012 In The Abstract is a classic Sine Qua Non white blend of 37% Chardonnay, 31% Roussanne, 16% Petite Manseng and 16% Viognier. Coming from roughly equal parts Bien Nacido, Cumulus and Eleven Confessions vineyard, it spent just under 19 months in 48% used barrels (1-4 years old), 27% new French oak and the balance in concrete eggs. It sports a slightly darker color than the Chardonnay and offers up incredible notes of caramelized peaches, poached apples, white flowers and crushed rock that flow seamlessly to a full-bodied, decadent, yet classy and graceful feel on the palate. It’s a classic effort that doesn’t pull any punches, yet also never seems hot, heavy or puts a foot wrong. Enjoy this beauty over the coming decade or more. (JD)" (08/2014)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2002 Domaine William Fèvre Chablis Grand Cru "Bougros - Côte de Bouguerots" (94BH, 93RP, 91ST). Those that may doubt that Bougros merits its grand cru status need only experience this wine to be persuaded. A great effort that is drinking perfectly now." (12/2015)

2004 "Y" (Ygrec) d'Yquem, Bordeaux Blanc
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2004 "Y" (Ygrec) d'Yquem, Bordeaux Blanc. The dry white wine of d'Yquem. The chateau produces this wine in certain years when conditions permit. 'Y' comes from the same exceptional terroir and vines as Yquem's famous sweet wines. It benefits from identical strict vinegrowing methods, but is harvested and produced differently. 'Y' is produced when the deliberate decision is made to pick certain plots of sauvignon blanc grapes at the beginning of the vintage and overripe Semillon grapes later on. This accounts for the small quantities and irregular production. There have been only 24 vintages of 'Y' since the first one in 1959! Serve with foie gras if you wish; it is also wonderful with seafood and white meat dishes.

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2006 Domaine des Comtes Lafon Meursault 1er Cru "Les Perrières" ((96-97RP), (95-97ST), 93BH). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Ripe apricot, white peach, jasmine, nut oil, fresh lime and hazelnut pour from the glass of Lafon 2006 Meursault Perrieres. Offering an amazing combination of subtly creamy richness and underlying firmness with utmost elegance and wafting floral notes, the 14 barrels’ worth of this beauty from 55 year old vines represent around 60% new wood, but it’s not noticeable as such. The finishing interplay of floral, fruit, nut oil, and mineral nuances in the finish will keep you occupied for minutes at a time, and this densely layered yet lacy Meursault should merit more than a decade of attention in the bottle as well. The subtly truffle-scented, extraordinarily mineral, tartly-fruited 2005 lacks the lift, and elegance of the 2006 but is memorably-concentrated, almost severe in finish, and brimming with potential. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2007 Bonneau du Martray Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru (94RP, 93BH, 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "De la Moriniere is always at pains to caution that his white “shuts down” for several years soon after bottling, but in that case I must have tasted his 2007 Corton-Charlemagne before that happened. Cooling herbal, restrained floral and bitter-sweet hints of black currant and citrus rind on the nose lead to a luscious tide of ripe yellow plum, white peach, lime, and grapefruit tinged with chalk, salt, and iodine. A silken texture in no way diminishes the impression of clarity and refreshment. Faintly honeyed and nut oil notes add a sense of richness and depth in a finish of utmost purity of refreshing fruit; clarity to mineral nuances; and vibratory energy. When one compares the 2006 side-by-side today, the latter does indeed show a more overt stoniness and – for all of its textural richness and additional amplitude – suffers slightly in comparison with s

2005 Marcassin "Three Sisters Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay
Bid on this bottle of 2005 Marcassin "Three Sisters Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (96RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "...the 2005 Chardonnay Three Sisters is showing even better with another year of bottle age. With extraordinary minerality, wet stones, almost a liqueur of rocks and honeyed citrus as well as nectarines and orange blossoms, this wine is stunningly rich and builds incrementally on the palate It finishes with zesty acidity, great purity, and superb intensity. This is a wine of extraordinary gravitas and should drink nicely for 10 or more years...Little changes under the firm’s leadership of Helen Turley and her husband John Wetlaufer (now married 42 years), and as someone raised in Maryland, I am proud to say they were schooled at the renowned St. John’s College in Annapolis, Maryland. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2009 Vincent & Sophie Morey Batard-Montrachet Grand Cru (93RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: " The 2009 Batard-Montrachet presents a gorgeous fabric of white flowers, light honey and juicy peaches. The oak (60% new) gives the Batard an extra dimension of sweetness and volume that the other wines here don’t seem to have. Accordingly, this needs a few more years in bottle to come together. Vivid and utterly crystalline, Raveneaus's 2012 is a great essay into to qualities of one of the great - maybe the single greatest - 1er Cru site in Chablis. The wine reveals some smoke in the aromatics, but little, if any, in the flavor profile. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Rene Dauvissat’s 2008 Chablis La Forest achieves a remarkably vibrant sense of interplay and complexity characteristic both for its vintage and for this cuvee at its best. Scents of iris, white truffle, crushed chalk, saline-alkaline ocean breeze, tart plum, white peach and grapefruit all have their counterparts in a palate performance of riveting interactivity and prodigious yet continually fascinating length. There is a firm feel, brightness, and in the end a tendency for its mineral aspects to slightly dominate this show that result in a sparer impression than the corresponding 2007, something of a reversal of these vintage’s normal roles. Once again, here is an exceptional Chablis premier cru that should be worth following for a dozen or more years. (DS)" (10/2010)

2011 Morey-Blanc Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru
Bid on this bottle of 2011 Morey-Blanc Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru ((91-94BH)). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A deft touch of wood sets off fresh aromas of Granny Smith apples, lavender, white flowers, petrol and wet stone. There is good power, size, weight and detail to the sleekly muscular flavors that possess a cool mouth feel yet the finish is explosively long. The energy and pungent minerality are attractive but what I really like here is the excellent balance as all of the elements are in harmony. This will need time however and it will probably not be especially approachable young. Producer note: for readers who may not understand the difference between the two labels, Maison Morey-Blanc is a small négociant operation that M. Morey began with his wife (née Blanc) in 1992. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Persian melon, lime, white peach, iris, and green tea in the nose of Francois Cotat’s 2008 Sancerre La Grande Cote lead to a succulent, very subtly sweet palate loaded with melon and peach and infused with green tea, mint, and nut oils. There is a lovely (at least metaphorically) cooling as well as soothing and wafting sense to this, yet it preserves transparency through which shimmer chalky, saline, somehow crystalline suggestions of things mineral. Here is a great example of the elegance that is possible from this great site, even in a wine of close to 14% alcohol, and based on the track record chez Cotat, I suspect this will be well worth following for 12-15 years. 1928 Chateau Chalon (Jean Bourdy) Jura (620ml)
Bid on this bottle of 1928 Chateau Chalon (Jean Bourdy) Jura (620ml). Savagnin Blanc (not to be confused with Sauvignon Blanc) is an ancient white wine grape from the sub-alpine regions of eastern France. Its most famous application is in two of France's most idiosyncratic wines, the Sherry-like Vin Jaune and the sweet, concentrated Vin de Paille, both of which come from the eastern Jura region. The Savagnin name has become most synonymous with Vin Jaune, a wine that is a matured in barrel for several years under a naturally occurring film of flor yeast. During this maturation period the wine develops rich, nutty flavors (similar to those found in the fino Sherries of Jerez) and the deep yellow color which gives it its name; jaune is French for "yellow". The finest examples of these, which are arguably the finest examples of Savagnin Blanc wines anywhere, come from the vineyards of Chateau-Chalon in the Jura.

A faint aura of white truffle joins chalk dust, sea breeze, iris, and diverse citrus in the nose. Intense, floral-accented scents of orange zest, pit fruit and candied ginger. Powerful and broad but surprisingly energetic, offering sappy, palate-staining citrus marmalade and peach flavors lifted by tangy acidity. A suave honey note comes up with air and carries through the long, spicy finish. (JR)" (11/2011)

Wine Enthusiast: "Taut and mineral, this is currently a wine that is waiting to reveal its power and majesty. The fruit is on a tight rein of acidity, which only slowly opens up to show mango, pineapple, crisp citrus, layers of toast and a mouth-enveloping richness. (RV)" (05/2009)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2011 Kistler "Kistler Vineyard" Sonoma Valley Chardonnay ((94-96VN), 94RP, 94ST, 92WS). Vinous: "The 2011 Chardonnay Kistler Vineyard is totally closed in on itself today. Here the flavors are intensely mineral-inflected and saline. Crushed rocks and citrus lead to sweet floral and spiced notes but the 2011 remains first and foremost a wine of texture and balance. Today, it is drop-dead gorgeous, even though the elements haven't fully come together yet. " (07/2013)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Marcassin "Marcassin Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (99RP, 94VN, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Flirting with perfection, the 2010 Chardonnay Marcassin Estate exhibits a serious liqueur of stones along with a greenish hue to its straw color, fabulous density, richness and full-bodied power, but zesty acids and notes of quince, white currants, subtle peach, brioche and apricot marmalade are all present in this multi-dimensional, complex, stunning Chardonnay that will be released in 2014. It should easily last for 10-15 years. (RP)" (12/2013)

Bid on this bottle of 2007 Domaine Vincent Dauvissat Chablis Grand Cru "Les Clos" (96ST, 95RP, 95WS, 94BH). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Bright yellow. Subtly complex nose melds Asian pear, violet, lavender, ginger, iodine and powdered stone. Tactile and dense on entry, then creamy in the middle, conveying an impression of great volume without weight. This extremely backward, youthfully understated Clos firms up dramatically on the back end, finishing with palate-saturating citrus and talc flavors that refuse to fade. One of the longest Chablis bottlings I tasted for this issue, this truly transcends Chardonnay. 96+ (ST)" (07/2009)

Of the 2014 Aubert "Eastside Vineyard" Russian River Valley Chardonnay,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The 2014 Chardonnay Eastside may also flirt with perfection. This wine is fashioned in the same style, but incredibly may be even more concentrated, intense and full. It is remarkable what Mark Aubert is doing so brilliantly with his winemaking program, and if readers haven’t beaten a path to his door (or mailing list), it’s about time, as these are some of the most complex and satisfying wines on Planet Earth.(RP)" (12/2015)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2010 Domaine Blain-Gagnard Criots-Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru (94BH, 93WS). Allen Meadows - Burghound: " *Don't Miss!* A soft touch of wood frames ripe yellow fruit aromas that include peach, apricot and mango as well as citrus nuances among which lemon and grapefruit are to be found. There is impressive complexity to the rich, full-bodied and powerful large-scaled flavors that brim with dry extract on the citrusy and bone dry finish. 2011 Domaine Ramonet Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2011 Domaine Ramonet Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru (95BH, 94WS). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "As is typically the case this is more elegant than the Bâtard with a stunningly pure and ultra-fresh nose of white orchard fruit, orange peel and acacia blossom that is trimmed in discreet though not invisible wood. The palate impression is classic Chevalier with its strikingly refined, complex and beautifully delineated middle weight flavors that are tightly wound and gorgeously vibrant, particularly on the impressively long, intensely stony and chiseled finish. If there is a nit it's that this doesn't have the mid-palate concentration of either the Bâtard or the Montrachet and while it's by no means dilute, it doesn't fan out in the mouth like its grand cru brethren. On the plus side however this is easily the finest of the bunch and the sheer class of the mouth feel is something to behold as there is just no way to duplicate it. Thus readers should view my score

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2005 Domaine Raveneau Chablis 1er Cru "Montée de Tonnerre" (92ST). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Bright, pale yellow. Pure but reticent aromas of citrus peel, hazelnut, clove and minerals; even more strict today than the Butteaux. Powerful but almost painfully closed, dominated today by citric and mineral cut and a flavor of wet stone. A very rich but austere wine that's presently hard to taste. Finishes broad, layered and quite dry, with a ripe, honeyed quality. This will almost certainly be for drinking after the '06. (ST)" (08/2007)

Of the 2012 Aubert "Sugar Shack Estate" Napa Valley Chardonnay,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "Mark Aubert is one of the contenders for California’s finest practitioner of Burgundian-styled, yet classic, California Chardonnays. His offerings are all made like grand cru Burgundies with full malolactic, the use of French oak and lees stirring, but the purity of fruit, the textural dimensions, and the stunning singularity of these Chardonnays can only be matched by a handful of other Chardonnay producers in the world. He’s that good. (RP)" (12/2014)

Reticent, somewhat reduced, soil-driven aromas of crushed stone, petrol and lime blossom. Extremely primary today, but already hinting at great incipient complexity, with notes of talc, citrus skin, white flowers and white pepper. Dense and fat with sheer extract; a real mouthful of liquid minerals. Superconcentrated, seamless and penetrating. " (07/2004)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2011 Kistler "Vine Hill" Russian River Valley Chardonnay (95RP, 94VN, 93ST, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "From Kistler’s home property, not far from the winery, the 2011 Chardonnay Vine Hill Vineyard bursts from the glass with superb aromas of tangerine oil, white peach, pineapple and wet stones. With good acidity, a long, full-bodied finish, and a precocious personality, it should provide plenty of pleasure over the next 3-4 years. (RP)" (12/2013)

1997 Domaine Vacheron "Les Romains" Sancerre
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1997 Domaine Vacheron "Les Romains" Sancerre. A biodynamic estate that has become one of the benchmarks for Sancerre. Run by cousins Jean-Laurent and Jean-Dominique, Domaine Vacheron applies a decidedly Burgundian approach to the wines, with small parcels vinified separately and all operations done by hand. The Romains vineyard is made of silex (flint over clay and limestone) soils, that contribute to complex mineral and smoky aromas in the wines.

Bid on this 3-magnum lot of 2013 Henri Boillot Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru "Clos de la Mouchère" (1.5L) (93BH, 93ST). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Medium straw-yellow. Musky aromas of peach, apricot and ginger; more soil-driven and less exotic than the village Puligny. Supple, silky and highly concentrated, offering extremely smooth flavors of stone fruits and flowers. An outstanding 2013 with a very long, pliant back end. Boillot describes this as "the best wine of the cave in 2013." 2013 Sine Qua Non "Résisté" Central Coast Proprietary White
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2013 Sine Qua Non "Résisté" Central Coast Proprietary White (97RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "the 2013 White Wine Resiste is a sensational white from California that's made from 45% Roussanne, 26% Chardonnay, 14% Petite Manseng, 10% Viognier and 5% Marsanne that spent 19 months in 46% new French oak and the balance in concrete eggs and used barrels. Possessing rock-star levels of richness and texture on the palate, with full-bodied depth and power that never seems heavy or cumbersome, it has classic SQN white notes of buttered golden fruits, honeysuckle, honeycomb, toast and white flowers. Unctuous, full-flavored and still lively and fresh, it needs 2-3 years of cellaring and will keep for two decades. (JD)" (08/2015)

Creamy-sweet and palate-staining, with superb layered concentration and ripeness. Wonderfully fat, old-school grand cru combining uncanny viscosity with strong mineral spine. Finishes with superb length. This may yet go into a shell, but it's spectacular today." (09/2009)
