2013 Aubert "CIX" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2013 Aubert "CIX" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (97RP, 96VN, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2013 Chardonnay Cix Estate, also from a Montrachet clone planted on Goldridge soils, displays plenty of peach, apricot, caramelized apples, citrus blossom and wet stones in a full-bodied, powerful, rich and pure, precise style. This is another beauty from 2013 that should easily age for 10+ years. (RP)" (12/2015)

2011 Joh. Jos. Prüm Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Gold Capsule Auslese Mosel
Bid on this bottle of 2011 Joh. Jos. Prüm Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Gold Capsule Auslese Mosel (95RP, 94WS, 92ST, 92W&S). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A delightful hint of salted caramel creeps into the nose and onto the palate of Prum’s 2011 Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Auslese gold capsule, which when combined with apple jelly, honey and nougat not to mention a creamy and almost taffy-like texture, makes for a decidedly confectionary aura. Sweet liquid essences of lily, musky peony and gardenia as well as a faint oiliness and high glycerol enhance the luxuriantly seductive effect of this long-lingering performance, yet there remains a critical modicum of fresh apple and melon juiciness (if less efficacious than that of the corresponding Bernkasteler) to complement the sense of levity in this elixir’s finish and to render the next sip virtually irresistible. Bid on this bottle of 2011 Domaine des Comtes Lafon Meursault 1er Cru "Goutte d'Or" (94RP, (91-93BH), 91VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2011 Meursault 1er Cru Goutte d’Or has similar clay to Porusots that lends them similar weight. It has a complex nose of lime flower, quince and hazelnut that gains intensity in the glass. The palate is actually quite similar to the Porusots on the entry, but for me, the finish shows superior tension and poise. This is one of Dominique’s finest. Drink 2014-2028. (NM)" (08/2013)

Wine Spectator: "A wolf in sheep's clothing, this white appears elegant and vivid, delivering lemon, pear, stone and spice flavors. Shows latent power, building to a long, intense finish. The aftertaste echoes minerally details. Best from 2017 through 2030. (BS)" (12/2013)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Resin, spices, and menthol notes can be detected in the aromatic profile of the 2004 Chablis Montee de Tonnerre. A sappy, fleshy wine, it offers a light to medium-bodied character filled with salt, sea shells, slate, and minerals. (PR)" (06/2006)

2011 Jakob Schneider Niederhäuser Hermannshöhle Riesling Auslese
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2011 Jakob Schneider Niederhäuser Hermannshöhle Riesling Auslese (92RP, 90VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Schneiders’ 2011 Niederhauser Hermannshohle Riesling Auslese drips with luscious mango, musk melon and peach, a glaze of quince jelly and dollops of vanilla and marzipan, taking this creamily-textured Auslese deep into confitured and confectionary territory. Happily, retained CO2 and a modicum of citricity help keep things lively and the sense of levity is virtually gravity-defying in a sustained reverberating finish. This is likely to be worth savoring over at least a 30- year period. (And at Schneider prices, a few more folks can afford to cellar a top-notch Auslese than would ordinarily be the case.) 1985 Huet "Le Clos du Bourg" Vouvray Moelleux
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1985 Huet "Le Clos du Bourg" Vouvray Moelleux (95JG). John Gilman: "I love the style of the 1985 Vouvrays, as they are not a particularly rich vintage, but the clarity and purity of the wines more than makes up for not having quite the same amplitude as a vintage such as 1989. The ’85 Clos du Bourg Moelleux is a recent re-release from the estate and well worth a search of the marketplace to latch onto, as it is a stunning wine. The beautiful and utterly refined nose offers up a complex mélange of apple, honeycomb, an exotic touch of yellow plum, citrus zest, a hint of straw, chalky soil tones, just a whisper of lanolin and a topnote of orange blossoms. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, complex and zesty, with just a delicate touch of botrytis, excellent focus and balance and a great grip on the very long and crisp finish. This is not a blockbuster vintage of Clos du Bourg Moelleux, but one of stunning intensity of flavor, magical complexity and pe

Bid on this bottle of 2007 J.-F. Coche-Dury Meursault "Rougeots" (94ST, 92BH). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Pale, bright yellow. Full, powerful aromas of peach, orange and minerals; ripe, inviting and quintessential Meursault. Then broad and aromatic but classically dry in the middle palate, with captivating orange and tangerine fruit dominating. Opens dramatically on the back half to showcase the silkiness and gras of Meursault, but the long finish features superb grip. This was very promising from barrel, and it's even better in bottle. Of the 2005 Château de Maltroye Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru "Les Dent de Chien",Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar writes: "Knockout nose combines citrus and stone fruits, smoky oak and iodine; something Montrachet-like about this. Fat, silky and rich, with a layered texture and considerable elegance. Sweet but dry. The wine's considerable underlying power makes itself felt quite late, saturating the palate with dusty stone. Bid on this bottle of 2011 Marcassin "Marcassin Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (97RP, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2011 is a great Chardonnay Marcassin Vineyard from a much-maligned and sometimes excessively criticized vintage. 2011 has its low points, but there are many producers who got it right, and survived the challenging growing and harvest conditions. This wine has phenomenal intensity, with plenty of crushed rock, pineapple, honeysuckle, orange and tangerine blossom in an elegant, medium to full-bodied style, with terrific intensity, good acidity and freshness. Succulent yellow orchard fruit, white flowers and freshly cut mint wrap around the palate in a wine that is at once rich yet weightless. Sweet floral notes reappear on the finish, adding lift and freshness. The 2011 is two-thirds Musque Blanc and one-third Sauvignon Blanc, fermented and aged partly in oak (23%) new and partly in steel. The blocked malo style is especially appealing here. Bid on this bottle of 2008 Domaine Raveneau Chablis 1er Cru "Montée Tonnerre" (94BH, (93-94RP), (93-94ST)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Iris, narcissus, peony, heliotrope, lemon, white peach, and litchi combine for the knockout nose of Raveneau’s 2008 Chablis Montee de Tonnerre. Uncannily combining a sense of textural richness, underlying extract, and decisively stony, alkaline, chalky, oyster shell minerality that go beyond its fellow premier crus in this collection. Yet this preserves a vintage-typical core of primary juiciness that helps convey lip-smacking appeal. Musky, sweet floral notes cling to the prodigiously long, expansive, finish of this almost certainly relatively un-evolved wine. Deep, layered and explosive, the Genevrieres bursts from the glass with an utterly beguiling combination of fruit, minerality and structure. Layers of rich, vivid fruit flow to an effortless, kaleidoscopic finish of exceptional grace. Pierre-Yves Colin makes a number of fabulous wines, but none goes straight to the heart like the Genevrieres does. The 2011 is another spectacular version. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Domaine de Montille Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru "Caillerets" ((91-93BH), (91-93RP), 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Le Cailleret, which comes from a 0.85-hectare parcel on rocky soils, came across as laconic, broody an introspective on the nose, gradually opening with light mineral aromas. The palate is fresh and vibrant with a lively citrus and almost effervescent core. This actually improves the more it remains in the mouth and there is a lovely touch of ginger on the finish. This is a wonderful Puligny Le Cailleret that shimmers with class and breeding. Dare I say that it has the hubris to outclass the Corton-Charlemagne. (NM)" (12/2013)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Chablis Bougros Cote Bouguerots is impeccable. It is one of the more open and radiant of the 2010s here, with great balance between the richness of the fruit, floral aromatics and minerality. The Cote Bouguerots is utterly vivid and compelling from the very first taste. Layers of fruit build to the huge, caressing finish. There is good vibrancy and a hint of minerality on the delicious, round and satisfying flavors that possess a sophisticated mouth feel on the vibrant, balanced and focused finish. It is remarkable what Mark Aubert is doing so brilliantly with his winemaking program, and if readers haven’t beaten a path to his door (or mailing list), it’s about time, as these are some of the most complex and satisfying wines on Planet Earth.(RP)" (12/2015)

The palate is poised from the very well balanced tension and length, plus there is tangible salinity on the finish. There is good verve to the acceptably concentrated flavors that possess a notably finer texture compared to those of the Forêts. 2002 Donnhoff Oberhauser Brucke Nahe Riesling Eiswein (375ml)
Bid on this half-bottle lot of 2002 Donnhoff Oberhauser Brucke Nahe Riesling Eiswein (375ml) (100RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2002 Riesling Eiswein Oberhauser Brucke is a grand slam home run for Donnhoff. It is so intense, so powerful, and so complex as to instill fear in the taster. Its apricot and peach cobbler aromas lead to a jellied core of cassis, raspberries, syrupy slate, and oodles of spices. It is simply amazing that a wine of this richness, ripeness, and depth can retain perfect definition, grip, and refinement. What is truly terrifying, however, is that Donnhoff produced a three-star Eiswein from the same vineyard in 2002, one he presumably considers better than this sublime nectar. Part of me is grateful that I was unable to taste it, however, as I have only 100 points with which to work. Bravo! Projected maturity: 2015-2040+. (PR)" (02/2004)

2007 Joh. Jos. Prüm Graacher Himmelreich Riesling Spätlese
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2007 Joh. Jos. Prüm Graacher Himmelreich Riesling Spätlese (93W&S, 92WS, 91RP, 91ST). Wine & Spirits: "At this stage, this feels much more open and generous than its Sonnenuhr counterpart, showing bright, floral flavors of tangerine and white peach. Its bold, rounded depth of fruit reveals more nuance and complexity the longer this sits in the glass, and it should feel even more focused and complete in a few years, after shedding its initial puppy fat." 2004 Domaine Macle Château-Chalon (620ml)
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2004 Domaine Macle Château-Chalon (620ml). From the importer: "Laurent Macle is the 7th generation winemaker of Domaine Macle. He works closely with his father, Jean, to produce some of the top wines from the Jura. They render sous voile or “under veil,” a semi-oxidative style of wine. Vin Jaune is not made every year: a committee of wine growers visits the vineyards to determine if it can be produced that year, depending on the grape quality. Jean has a knowledge of the chemistry of Vin Jaune production that is second to none and is known as the true master of Château-Chalon, while his son, Laurent, continues to learn more every year so that he may live up to his father’s reputation."

Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Very pure, high-pitched aromas of pear, white peach and flowers. Juicy, spicy and tightly wound, with surprisingly strong acidity for Poruzots in a ripe year giving the mid-palate a sharply chiseled character. The flavors of apple, pear, spices and honey spread out and mount on the long finish. " (09/2014)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2015 Aubert "Larry Hyde and Sons Vineyard" Carneros Chardonnay ((95-97RP), 95JS, 94VN, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "His 2015 Chardonnay Larry Hyde& Sons, like many of the 2015s and a consistent characteristic of most of Aubert’s wines, comes from mostly old Wente clones as well, and has a bright gold/greenish hue to its color as well as a big, sweet kiss of caramelized citrus, apple blossom, white peach and a touch of pineapple. It is a beautiful wine, with a full-bodied mouthfeel and a long, zesty finish. (RP)" (10/2016)

2000 Domaine Bouchard Pere & Fils Montrachet Grand Cru
Bid on this bottle of 2000 Domaine Bouchard Pere & Fils Montrachet Grand Cru (95ST, 94BH). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Very deep, sweet nose features apple, spices, iodine and resiny oak. A huge wine of great volume, sweetness and depth. Really explodes in the mouth, but with its perfectly integrated acidity it comes across as spherical and utterly smooth. Almost deceptively accessible today owing to its balance and mouthfilling richness. Finishes with great sweetness and persistence. It will be fascinating to compare this and the Cabotte six or seven years down the road. (ST)" (09/2002)

Juicy and dynamic, with ripe acidity contributing to the impression of inner-mouth tension. Finishes full and long but youthfully tight, with a lingering spiciness and firm structure. This may yet merit an even higher rating. (ST)" (09/2013)

2012 Sine Qua Non "In the Abstract" California White Blend
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Sine Qua Non "In the Abstract" California White Blend (97RP, 95JS, 94VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "In the same league, the 2012 In The Abstract is a classic Sine Qua Non white blend of 37% Chardonnay, 31% Roussanne, 16% Petite Manseng and 16% Viognier. Coming from roughly equal parts Bien Nacido, Cumulus and Eleven Confessions vineyard, it spent just under 19 months in 48% used barrels (1-4 years old), 27% new French oak and the balance in concrete eggs. It sports a slightly darker color than the Chardonnay and offers up incredible notes of caramelized peaches, poached apples, white flowers and crushed rock that flow seamlessly to a full-bodied, decadent, yet classy and graceful feel on the palate. It’s a classic effort that doesn’t pull any punches, yet also never seems hot, heavy or puts a foot wrong. Enjoy this beauty over the coming decade or more. (JD)" (08/2014)

Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Here there is better integration of the wood with airy and expressive orchard fruit and white flower aromas that merge into rich, full and sweet flavors that offer real volume and plenty of weight and muscle. Despite the almost massive size, the finish is blessed with excellent acid/fruit balance. Solid." (07/2007)

Vinous: "Layers of rich, expressive fruit resonate off the palate as the 2011 Chablis Blanchot emerges from the glass. A picture-perfect example of the vintage, the Blanchot is super-expressive, even at this early stage. Citrus, honey and spice nuances flesh out in an expansive, generous Chablis that will drink well with minimum cellaring. (AG)" (08/2013)

2004 Dönnhoff Niederhauser Hermannshöhle Riesling Auslese Nahe (375ml)
Bid on this 2-half-bottle lot of 2004 Dönnhoff Niederhauser Hermannshöhle Riesling Auslese Nahe (375ml) (95RP, 94WS, 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2004 Niederhauser Hermannshohle Riesling Auslese is blazingly bright in the nose, with tropical fruit richness allied to bright citrus and tart red raspberry notes. In the mouth there is sharpness and brightness as well as a complex dynamic of mango, pink grapefruit, red raspberry and pungent spice and mineral saltiness. This lacks the delicacy or serenity of so many of Donnhoff’s best wines, but in its jazz-like syncopation of flavors and the almost jarring juxtaposition of blazingly bright citricity with massive density, offers an exciting personality all its own. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2011 Domaine Francois et Antoine Jobard Meursault 1er Cru "Genevrières" ((90-92VN)). Vinous: "The 2011 Meursault Genevrières is rich, full-bodied and powerful for the year, with surprising depth in its fruit and fewer of the classic Genevrières minerality. Today, the 2011 is quite dense, so it is possible the wine is also shut down, but my sense is that this will always prove to be a relatively fruit-driven Genevrières, and that is not a bad thing, as it also makes the wine more approachable young. 2013 Sine Qua Non "Résisté" Central Coast Proprietary White
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2013 Sine Qua Non "Résisté" Central Coast Proprietary White (97RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "the 2013 White Wine Resiste is a sensational white from California that's made from 45% Roussanne, 26% Chardonnay, 14% Petite Manseng, 10% Viognier and 5% Marsanne that spent 19 months in 46% new French oak and the balance in concrete eggs and used barrels. Possessing rock-star levels of richness and texture on the palate, with full-bodied depth and power that never seems heavy or cumbersome, it has classic SQN white notes of buttered golden fruits, honeysuckle, honeycomb, toast and white flowers. Unctuous, full-flavored and still lively and fresh, it needs 2-3 years of cellaring and will keep for two decades. (JD)" (08/2015)

Of the 2013 Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey St. Aubin 1er Cru "Chatenière",Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The 2013 Saint Aubin 1er Cru Chatenière is initially reticent on the nose, but it unfolds with time in the glass with delicate orange blossom and white peach aromas that remain very well defined. The palate is crisp and tensile on the entry. There is a wonderful salinity here, very good persistence in the mouth with a taut, linear finish that begs another sip. Top class. (NM)" (12/2014)

2015 Aubert "Lauren Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2015 Aubert "Lauren Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay ((97-100RP), 97VN, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2015 Chardonnay Lauren Estate, from 17-year-old vines of primarily the Old Wente and Mt. Eden clones (but in the famous Goldridge soils that are so vital in the Russian River Valley), was the slowest to ferment, although it offers great acids, loads of nectarine and tangerine, honeysuckle, white currants, and no evidence of the 100% new oak it was aged in. This is another sensational effort, and like most Laurens will probably age for 10-15 or more years. (RP)" (10/2016)

Bid on this bottle of 2001 Henri Boillot Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru (94BH, 93ST). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "The purity here is mind bending and this is perhaps the most transparent wine in this entire group. Elegant, fine and crystalline with superbly detailed fruit and flavors with a positively brilliant, almost painfully intense finish that is astonishingly long. Classy and altogether imposing with its unmatched combination of complexity, depth and focus. While I cannot argue that this has better material than either the Montrachet or the incredible Corton-Charlemagne, I can say that stylistically, the Chevalier is my personal favorite. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Domaine Francois et Antoine Jobard Meursault 1er Cru "Genevrières" ((91-94BH), (91-94ST)). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "(15% new oak): Pale yellow. Orange oil, stone, hazelnut and a hint of vanilla on the nose; a real essence of Genevrieres. Rich and silky on the palate, but with lovely lift to the flavors of orange, stone fruits and minerals. Then quite dry and uncompromising on the back end, finishing with a lightly tannic impression. This classically styled Meursault should age very well. (ST)" (09/2014)

Bid on this bottle of 2011 J.-F. Coche-Dury Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru (96RP, 95BH, 94ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2011 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru has an exquisite bouquet that truly deserves the phrase 'liquid mineral.' Imagine a limestone quarry being melted down and then distilled multiple times until there is just enough to fill your wine glass. The palate has perfect acidity and subtle spicy notes on the entry: hints of lime flower, citrus lemon and a subtle note of mandarin coming through with aeration. Is exhibits balletic poise on the finish -- a sensational Corton-Charlemagne that just may turn out to be just as good as the 2010. Drink 2018-2035. (NM)" (04/2014)
