2005 Kistler "Durell" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2005 Kistler "Durell" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay ((94-96RP), 93ST, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "From a Sonoma Coast vineyard, the 2005 Chardonnay Durell Vineyard reveals extremely uplifted aromatics displaying hints of wet stones, white currants, flowers, peaches, and subtle tropical fruits. Full-bodied, intense, and tightly-knit, it should drink well for 7-8 years. Kistler Vineyards, undeniably one of the world’s finest winemaking estates, is run with passionate dedication to detail and quality by Steve Kistler and Mark Bixler. It is wines like these that keep an old critic like me inspired and energized. (RP)" (12/2006)

2002 Dönnhoff Niederhäuser Hermannshöhle Riesling Spätlese
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2002 Dönnhoff Niederhäuser Hermannshöhle Riesling Spätlese (96RP, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This Spatlese is extraordinary, hovering in that zone bordering perfection in which wines touch the soul. Profound aromas of liquid slate and pepper emanate from the glass of the 2002 Riesling Spatlese Niederhauser Hermannshohle. As powerful, muscular, and masculine as the Oberhauser Brucke, it has flavors reminiscent of spices awash in pear syrup. A barely perceptible dip in intensity in the mid-palate is the reason this extraordinarily pure, concentrated, and persistent wine earned one less point than some of its peers. All Hail the King of Spatlese! Donnhoff’s line-up of Spatlesen is second to none. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2030. " (02/2004)

Of the 2005 Aubert "Reuling Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "There are 350 cases of the 2005 Chardonnay Reuling Vineyard, which comes from the Goldridge soils of this Sonoma Coast site. This Chardonnay comes from a clone suitcased over from the Montrachet vineyard in Burgundy. There is no doubting the liquid minerality, striking honeyed citrus, white currant, hazelnut, and brioche notes are more French than California, but the power and richness are pure New World. An absolutely remarkable Chardonnay that is certainly one of the top half dozen or so Chardonnays I have ever tasted from California, this is a stunningly proportioned, profound wine that should drink beautifully for 5-7 years,

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2007 Ridge "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Chardonnay (92RP, 92ST, 91CG, 91WS, 90W&S). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2007 Chardonnay Monte Bello (100% Chardonnay, 14.4% alcohol) has a floral nose of white flowers, honeyed citrus, subdued, almost indistinguishable oak, but complex aromatics. Medium to full-bodied and bottled unfiltered, this is one of the more impressive Ridge Chardonnays I have tasted. The oak has been pushed to the background, and the floral, honeyed citrus fruit notes dominate. The wine is beautifully textured and capable of lasting up to a decade or more. (RP)" (02/2011)

2004 Domaine William Fevre Chablis Grand Cru "Les Clos"
Bid on this bottle of 2004 Domaine William Fevre Chablis Grand Cru "Les Clos" (96RP, 95BH, 94ST, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The star of this extraordinary line-up is Domaine William Fevre’s show-stopping 2004 Chablis Les Clos (domaine). Its creamed stone aromatics are followed by a bold, muscular, powerful character. Medium to full-bodied and ample, it explodes on the palate, unleashing waves of iodine-laced minerals, white fruits, and liquefied rocks. This masculine counterpart to the Les Preuses is suave, seamless, and immensely concentrated. Projected maturity: 2008-2017. Though it is difficult to fathom, Fevre’s 2005 Chablis Les Clos, tasted at an unbelievably young age, was even bigger, denser, and more powerful! Bravo! (PR)" (06/2006)

1999 Domaine des Remizieres Hermitage "Cuvee Emilie" (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum of 1999 Domaine des Remizieres Hermitage "Cuvee Emilie" (1.5L) (90RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The Hermitage Cuvee Emilie is a full-bodied, thick, juicy wine. The wine possesses minerality and backbone. It reveals moderately intense aromas of rose petals, minerals, honeyed grapefruit, and a hint of fino sherry. Look for it to drink well for up to twenty years. The wine is produced from low yields, ripe fruit, minimal levels of sulphur dioxide, and is bottled with neither fining nor filtration. The winemaking philosophy is essentially hands off until the wines are bottled. The result is brilliant, and merits significant attention from Rhone wine enthusiasts. (RP)" (04/2002)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2010 Domaine Vincent Dauvissat Chablis 1er Cru "La Forest" (94RP, 94VN, 93BH). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "There is something elusive about the 2010 Chablis La Forest, but a serious core of fruit lies behind the feminine, sensual bouquet. White peaches, mint, jasmine and crushed rocks are layered into the sleek, silky finish. Once again, the Forest is all about understatement and class. This is another superb, incisive 2010 from Dauvissat. I also tasted the 2002, which is just entering its early maturity. As delicious as it is, I don’t expect the 2002 Forest to be extremely long lived by the estate’s standards. Anticipated maturity: 2015+. (AG)" (08/2012)

2002 Camus Père et Fils Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2002 Camus Père et Fils Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru. Camus is an underrated domaine with good Grand Cru holdings in Gevrey-Chambertin. It's existed, more or less, since 1732, but mostly after the phylloxera epidemic, when Joseph Camus purchased abandoned vineyards. The wines are not filtered, so you'll often find sediment, but this ensures that every iota of flavor from the grape makes it into the final wine. From IPO Wines: "This is the most elegant of the Camus wines. It is smooth, tender, and silky. In fact, it is charming. Camus usually has a good supply of older vintages of this wines since he makes a relatively larger amount of the Charmes. Elegant, with softer entry. Medium-full, with pretty dark cherry fruit. Shows great character in youth and distinct earthiness with some age. Terrific balance. Age of vines: 40 years. 50% new oak barrels used."

Dry and penetrating on the palate, but with a distinctly tactile quality to the flavors of pineapple and flowers. Bid on this bottle of 2011 Domaine William Fèvre Chablis Grand Cru "Les Clos" ((93-96BH), (93-95RP), (92-95ST)). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "(from 4 separate parcels totaling 4.11 ha, 3 of which are all at the top of the slope). This was quite closed and somewhat difficult to read but aggressive swirling grudgingly liberated ripe aromas of sea breeze, pear, lemon rind, oyster shell and mineral reduction plus an abundance of typical floral scents. The large-scaled flavors are overtly powerful and impressively concentrated as there is plenty of palate staining dry extract that also buffers the very firm acidity that supports and shapes the gorgeously precise finish. This explosively long effort possesses exquisite balance and the tightly wound flavors are going to need at least a decade to completely bloom. A knock out." (09/2012)

The 2011 Chablis Grand Cru Valmur from Moreau-Naudet has good intensity on the nose with scents of dried honey, beeswax, chalk dust and walnut, retaining Chablis character through and through. 2008 Henri Germain Meursault 1er Cru "Les Perrieres"
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2008 Henri Germain Meursault 1er Cru "Les Perrieres" ((90-93BH)). Allen Meadows - Burghound: " *Sweet spot Outstanding* A highly expressive nose of white flower, green apple and pungent mineral aromas trimmed in almost invisible wood toast precede intense, precise and driving stone-inflected middle weight flavors that are a bit less obviously concentrated than those of the Charmes. However, they are even more delineated on the more reserved but longer finale. In sum, this is beautifully balanced, understated and refined." (06/2010)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The stunning 2008 Chardonnay Hyde Vineyard reveals an intense bouquet of tropical fruits, white currants, white peaches, pineapple and citrus oil followed by a full-bodied white that lives up to its exquisite aromatics. It should drink beautifully for 7-8 years." (02/2011)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Domaine William Fèvre Chablis Grand Cru "Les Preuses" ((93-96BH), (94-96VN), (93-95ST), (93-94RP)). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "(from two parcels of vines that total 2.55 ha, or 22% of the entire appellation). This is arguably the most elegant wine in the range with its ultra-pure aromas of quinine, oyster shell, mineral reduction and floral elements. There is a caressing, even seductive mouth feel to the beautifully well-delineated and concentrated medium-bodied flavors that possess an almost delicate quality before culminating in an almost startlingly explosive finish that just goes on and on. This bone dry effort is an exercise in harmony and grace, or otherwise expressed, a classic Preuses." (09/2013)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2012 Domaine Paul Pernot Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru "Champ Canet" ((88-91ST), 90BH). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Bright pale yellow. Slightly peppery aromas of lime, quinine and mint. Densely packed but with a slight green edge to the flavors of lime, mint, white flowers, crushed rock, pepper and dusty herbs. I like the wine's energy but the tart, herbal finish suggests an element of underripeness. (ST)" (09/2013)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Domaine Joseph Drouhin Chablis-Les Clos Grand Cru (94ST, 93BH, (91-93RP), 93VN). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Pale bright yellow. Warm aromas of orange peel, pineapple, ginger and linden flower. Broad, sappy and intense, with a very tactile texture to the intense flavors of stone fruits, minerals and crushed stone. The mineral-driven finish builds slowly, leaving behind a flavor of crushed stone and a suggestion of baked bread. Offers a compelling blend of sunny-vintage character and inner-mouth tension. Of the 2008 Marcassin "Marcassin Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "Utterly perfect, the 2008 Chardonnay Marcassin Estate is a dead-ringer for the 2007, but slightly richer and longer, as hard as that may be to believe. This extraordinary effort is unquestionably the 'Chardonnay of the Vintage.' In fact, it may be the 'Chardonnay of the Decade.' Brioche, nectarine, citrus and orange blossom notes intermixed with a liqueur of rocks, great acid, phenomenal concentration and staggering length result in a sublime Chardonnay that should drink well for 15+ years. Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2012 Domaine Paul Pernot Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru "Clos de la Garenne" (91BH, (88-91ST)). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Pale, bright yellow with a green tinge. Perfumed, high-pitched aromas of lemon, lime, mint and white pepper. Juicy and penetrating, with lovely floral lift to the white peach and citrus flavors. Like the Champ Canet, this is from a rocky site but here there's a bit more topsoil. Ultimately sweeter and more pliant than the Champ Canet, but a bit less stony and precise. (ST)" (09/2013)

Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Noticeable wood sets off ripe white orchard fruit and wet stone aromas that introduce extremely rich, round and opulent flavors where the naturally abundant minerality adds lift to the extract rich and mouth coating finish. There is a bit more overall material than the Meursault though perhaps not quite the usual refinement." (06/2012)

2013 Sine Qua Non "Résisté" Central Coast Proprietary White
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2013 Sine Qua Non "Résisté" Central Coast Proprietary White (97RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "the 2013 White Wine Resiste is a sensational white from California that's made from 45% Roussanne, 26% Chardonnay, 14% Petite Manseng, 10% Viognier and 5% Marsanne that spent 19 months in 46% new French oak and the balance in concrete eggs and used barrels. Possessing rock-star levels of richness and texture on the palate, with full-bodied depth and power that never seems heavy or cumbersome, it has classic SQN white notes of buttered golden fruits, honeysuckle, honeycomb, toast and white flowers. Unctuous, full-flavored and still lively and fresh, it needs 2-3 years of cellaring and will keep for two decades. (JD)" (08/2015)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2010 Domaine Henri Boillot Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru (96ST, 95BH, 94RP). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Bright pale yellow. Extremely closed nose hints at gunflint and menthol. Dense and pure on entry, then as powerful as a solid in the middle, with explosive lift to the flavors of white pepper, mint and dusty stone. Expands with air to fill the mouth without giving any impression of weight. Finishes with a convincing saline tang and outstanding persistence. This has the structure of a top red Burgundy: I'd forget about it for at least eight years. 96(+?)" (09/2012)

2010 Aubert "UV-SL Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Aubert "UV-SL Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (94RP, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Chardonnay UV-SL Vineyard boasts remarkable textural depth and finesse. Rich, round and seamless, the UV-SL is all about body and endless layers of flavor. An element of salinity gives a finish laced with white flowers and citrus of considerable freshness. This is a stunning set of wines from Mark Aubert. Both the Chardonnays and Pinots developed considerably over the time I followed them. Readers should open the wines at least several hours in advance. In general, the 2010s are brighter and more focused than the 2009s, which are more generous. Alcohol levels are also lower across the board in 2010. (AG)" (02/2012)

Sweet on entry, then more shapely and structured than the Genevrieres, with strong minerality framing and extending the peach, crushed stone and spice flavors. Less exuberant than the Genevrieres but more reserved and classic. Offers a rare blend of sweetness and minerality. Finishes very long and clean. 93+ (ST)" (09/2008)

2010 Marcassin "Three Sisters Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Marcassin "Three Sisters Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (99RP, 94VN, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "With a slightly smokier edge to the honeysuckle, poached pear, pineapple and caramelized citrus notes, the 2010 Chardonnay Marcassin Vineyard hits the palate with a full-bodied, thunderous affect of fruit, glycerin and acidity. The wine reveals some smoke in the aromatics, but little, if any, in the flavor profile. Full-bodied, lovely, and again, close to perfection (as so often these wines are), this is a beauty to drink over the next decade or more. (RP)" (08/2015)
