2001 d'Arenberg "The Dead Arm" Shiraz McLaren Vale South Australia
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2001 d'Arenberg "The Dead Arm" Shiraz McLaren Vale South Australia (98RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Readers should be on the look out for the 2001 The Dead Arm Shiraz, one of the greatest examples of this cuvee. Its dense, black/purple color is accompanied by celestial aromas of melted licorice, graphite, blackberries, cassis, incense, anise, and toasty oak. Fabulously concentrated, with great purity, an unctuous, viscous texture, and an amazingly long, 60-second plus finish, this fabulous baby will need 5-6 years of cellaring, and should drink well over the following 20-25 years. 2010 Mollydooker "Blue Eyed Boy" Shiraz South Australia
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2010 Mollydooker "Blue Eyed Boy" Shiraz South Australia (93RP, 92RR, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: " A blend of Langhorne Creek and McLaren Vale fruit, the 2010 Blue Eyed Boy Shiraz presents a very deep purple black color and is profoundly scented of warm black berries, blueberry pie filling, licorice and cloves with hints of Chinese five spice, mocha and cedar. Very rich, powerful and very full bodied, the concentrated fruit is well balanced by a medium to firm level of rounded tannins and lively acid. It has a very long milk chocolate and coconut laced finish. Give this wine another year for the oak to marry and drink it 2013 to 2020+. (LPB)" (02/2012)

2005 Torbreck "Run Rig" Shiraz Barossa Valley South Australia
Bid on this bottle of 2005 Torbreck "Run Rig" Shiraz Barossa Valley South Australia (98RP, 95ST, 95WS, 94JH, 93JS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Torbreck’s flagship is the 2005 Run Rig, a 97% Shiraz cuvee sourced from 120- to 160-year-old vines with 3% finished Viognier added before bottling. It spent 30 months in 60% new French oak. Opaque purple/black in color, it has a kinky, exotic bouquet of fresh road tar, smoke, lavender, black pepper, game, blueberry, and black raspberry. Full-bodied and opulent on the palate, the wine is dense, packed, and unevolved. It will continue to open up over the next 10-12 years and drink well through 2040 in the style of a Chapoutier Hermitage. If it develops as I think it will, it will be a candidate for perfection down the road. (JM)" (02/2009)

2005 Greenock Creek "Creek Block" Shiraz Barossa Valley South Australia
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2005 Greenock Creek "Creek Block" Shiraz Barossa Valley South Australia (97RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2005 Creek Block Shiraz was sourced from a 67-year-old estate vineyard and received the same barrel regimen as its colleagues. An exceptional nose of smoked meat, bacon, tar, violets, truffle, and blueberry muffin gives way to a full-bodied, voluptuous, Shiraz with layers of blue and black fruit flavors, spice box, and milk chocolate. Although it can be enjoyed now, it promises to evolve for 8-10 years and provide prime drinking through 2035. (JM)" (02/2009)

2004 Hundred Acre "Ancient Way Vineyard, Summer's Block" Barossa Valley Shiraz
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2004 Hundred Acre "Ancient Way Vineyard, Summer's Block" Barossa Valley Shiraz (94WE, 92ST). Wine Enthusiast: "Incredibly dark in color but light on its feet, this wine somehow manages to hide its 15.5% alcohol under fruit that’s neither overblown or jammy. Spice- and herb-driven complexity is the order of the day, with scents of violets lending an exotic note to the aromas. It's mouthfilling and palate-coating but wonderfully balanced, picking up hints of black olive and espresso on the lingering finish. Good now, but appears to have the stuff to evolve over at least 10–15 years." (11/2007)

Of the 2002 Torbreck "Descendant" Shiraz Barossa Valley South Australia,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "There are 1,000 cases of the 2002 Descendant, a blend of 92% Shiraz and 8% Viognier that spent 18 months in 2-year-old French oak. The fruit is sourced from the section of the Barossa Valley known as Marananga. The Viognier and Shiraz are co-fermented together, and the name, Descendant, comes the fact that it is essentially the same blend as the famed Run Rig, but sees no new oak. A magnificent effort, the dense ruby/purple-colored 2002 Descendant offers gorgeous aromas of crushed blackberries, raspberries, licorice, acacia flowers, and the added notes of honeysuckle and

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2005 Torbreck "Factor" Shiraz Barossa Valley South Australia (97RP, 97WE, 96JH, 96RR). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2005 The Factor is 100% Shiraz sourced from dry grown vines from six sub-regions of Barossa. It spent 24 months in 30% new French oak. Opaque purple-colored, it delivers an expressive bouquet of pepper, smoke, espresso roast, blackberry, blueberry, and licorice. Full-bodied and voluptuous on the palate, nuances of saddle leather and mineral emerge to complement the layers of spicy blue and black fruits. The wine is beautifully integrated with enough well-concealed tannin to keep this wine evolving for a decade. The pure finish lingers for 60+ seconds to complete the experience of a totally hedonistic turn-on. (JM)" (10/2007)

Of the 2004 Torbreck "Struie" Shiraz Barossa Valley South Australia,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The 2004 The Struie is 100% Shiraz from 40-60-year old and 120-year old vineyards. Half of the fruit is from the Eden Valley and half from the Barossa, and the wine spends 18 months in French oak (20% new). An exotic bouquet of blackberries and other sweet fruits is followed by a full-bodied, powerful, rich red with great purity as well as focus, a laser-like precision, huge intensity, and a blockbuster finish that lasts nearly a minute.
