Shiraz McLaren Vale South Australia,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "Produced from 26-year old vines and aged in French oak (80% new), the 2002 Shiraz G. A. M. reveals tremendous fruit purity, but it does not yet reveal secondary nuances. The inky blue/purple color is accompanied by aromas of ink, camphor, graphite, blackberries, and blueberries. While it possesses tremendous purity as well as an enormous full-bodied texture, it is neither heavy nor overbearing. This stunning Shiraz may be even better than the 2002 Savitar. Time will tell ... Of the 2004 Glaetzer "Amon-Ra" Shiraz Barossa Valley South Australia,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "Deep garnet-black in color, the 2004 Amon-Ra exudes lovely dark fruit, spice box and anise notes over kirsch, creme de cassis and mincemeat, plus a savory and meaty whiff. Full-bodied, it is generous and rich in the mouth with bright acid and a medium-firm level of fine-grained tannins. It finishes long and fine. Drink it now until 2022+. (LPB) " (02/2013)
