2004 Marcassin "Three Sisters Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2004 Marcassin "Three Sisters Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Chardonnay (95RP, 94WS, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Performing even better than it did last year, the 2004 Chardonnay Three Sisters Vineyard reveals an extraordinary bouquet of leesy brioche, hazelnuts, orange blossoms, lemon oil, quince, and wet stones. Full-bodied with huge, long, concentrated flavors, it first tasted like a grand cru Chablis, and next like a grand cru Batard-Montrachet. This is a fabulous wine boasting terrific acidity as well as a long finish. Given Marcassin’s historic track record of Chardonnays lasting 10-15 years, I would not be surprised to see this 2004 age like a top white Burgundy. (RP)" (12/2007)

2004 Silver Oak Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2004 Silver Oak Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (91CG, 90VN). Connoisseurs Guide: " *Two Stars* Deep, well-defined curranty fruit is the driving force of this nicely extracted, young Cabernet, while complementary oak and deft touches of cocoa lend a boost in overall richness. If fairly full-bodied, the wine shows nary a hint of heaviness and sports a fine sense of balance from beginning to end. It is supple to start and finishes with appropriate tannins, but its astringency never gets in the way of its ongoing fruit, and time is a guaranteed remedy to its wholly acceptable toughness." Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2004 Opus One Napa Valley Proprietary Red (OWC - 96RP, 93VN, 93WS, 92JS, 91ST) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Aged in 100% new French oak for 17 months and in bottle for 14 months prior to release, the 2004 Opus One is a blend of 86% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Merlot and the rest Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc and Malbec. It boasts a dense ruby/purple color along with a sweet bouquet of lead pencil shavings, black currants and a hint of toasty oak. More evolved than usual, this full-bodied, opulent 2004 is part of the new wave of Opus Ones made under the administration of Philippe Dhalluin, the administrator of Mouton Rothschild, who has begun to exploit this estate’s enormous potential. This beauty can be drunk now or cellared for another 20 years. (RP)" (04/2014)

2004 Chris Ringland Shiraz Three Rivers
Bid on this bottle of 2004 Chris Ringland Shiraz Three Rivers (100RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2004 Chris Ringland Shiraz is from another top vintage. Like the other wines, it spent 42 months in new French oak. Aromas of scorched earth, pencil lead, espresso, black currant and blueberry lead to a dense, complex, youthful wine with layer upon layer of succulent fruit, impeccable balance, and a decade of aging potential. Chris Ringland is a relatively modest bloke who gives most of the credit for his extraordinary wines to his nearly 100 year old vineyard. He now has 21 vintages under his belt the results of which place him with Marcel Guigal, Gerard Chave, Christophe Baron, Manfred Krankl, and Michel Chapoutier as the international grandmasters of Syrah/Shiraz. Gorgeous, generous, voluptuous, cheerful, succulent and intense: Masseto is all those things. The aromas are seamless and capture the essence of chocolate fudge, sweet cherry, blackberry, spice and vanilla. It boasts thick, dense extraction, excellent structure and amazing persistence." 2004 de Vogue Musigny Cuvee Vieilles Vignes (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum lot of 2004 de Vogue Musigny Cuvee Vieilles Vignes (1.5L) (95ST, 93BH). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Good deep red. Ineffable aromas of raspberry, crushed stone and flowers. Like liquid silk on entry, then quite tightly wound in the middle, offering great purity and nerve but hiding more than it's showing in the way of flavor today. This has a nearly frightful intensity and superb stony persistence. Due to hail in late August, the yield here was just 20 hectoliters per hectare, compared to 25 in 2005, according to Millet. A highlight of the vintage. When I asked Millet to compare his 2004s to his 2001s, he told me that the acidity in the spine of the 2004s is barely tasteable, as the minerality of the wine dominates. "In comparison, the 2001s are gaining in sensuality and elegance," he said. "But their fresh fruit flavors are still fighting their acidity." (ST)" (03/2007)

2004 J.-F. Coche-Dury Puligny-Montrachet "Enseignères"
Bid on this bottle of 2004 J.-F. Coche-Dury Puligny-Montrachet "Enseignères" (92BH, 92RP, 90ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2004 Puligny-Montrachet Enseignieres from Jean-Francois Coche has a surprisingly pale color. The nose is taciturn at first, only reluctantly opening to reveal grass clipping and dandelion scents, a limestone element surfacing and then expanding. The palate is nicely balanced with a Meursault-like, walnut- inspired entry. It is elegant and suave with an understated almond and hazelnut finish that waltzes along. This is very refined and drinking beautifully. Drink now-2025. Tasted November 2013. (NM)" (11/2013)

Bid on this bottle of 2004 Domaine du Comte Liger-Belair Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru "Les Chaumes" (94RP, 90BH, 90ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Pale ruby-brick colour. Very enticing ripe cherry, violet and cinnamon aromas on the nose with a hint of bacon fat. This is quite a structured style with a medium+ level of finely grained tannins and high level of acidity balancing the good concentration of spiced berry fruit. Very long finish with lingering notes of minerals and cloves. (LPB)" (05/2009)

2004 Bodegas Numanthia-Termes "Numanthia" Toro
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2004 Bodegas Numanthia-Termes "Numanthia" Toro (98RP, 95WS, 94W&S, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Any aspiring collectors should add a case of this to their stash. The 2004 Numanthia comes from a different terroir with a different clone of Tinta de Toro. The vines for this cuvee range from 70-100 years of age with tiny yields of 1 ton of fruit per acre. The wine undergoes malolactic fermentation in barrel followed by 19 months in new French oak before being bottled unfined and unfiltered. The wine is a glass-coating opaque purple with a killer nose of mineral, pencil lead, wild blueberry, and blackberry liqueur that roars from the glass. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, dense, and already beginning to show complexity within its layers of spicy black fruits. There is immense power, well-concealed ripe tannin, and the well-delineated finish lasts for over one minute. This is a sensational effort which in a perfect world should be cellared for a d

2004 Giuseppe E Figlio Mascarello "Monprivato" Barolo (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum lot of 2004 Giuseppe E Figlio Mascarello "Monprivato" Barolo (1.5L) (96RP, 96VN, 92ST, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Mascarello’s 2004 Barolo Monprivato is an explosive wine with an almost Pinot-like expression of purity in its fruit. This round, sweet Barolo is extremely primary at this stage, with tons of dense fruit that almost cover the wine’s tannins completely. Subtle overtones of roses and tar develop in the glass, rounding out this majestic wine. Monprivato is one of the world’s very finest values in collectible, age-worthy wine, and the 2004 is another classic in the making. I was blown away by this wine’s sheer balance and harmony, both of which are remarkable considering the wine’s age. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2034. (AG)" (10/2008)

Captivatingly intense yet refined aromas of ripe red cherry, mint, smoke and black truffle, complicated by lovely mineral and floral elements. Ripe, rich and velvety on entry, then concentrated in the middle, with flavors of red cherry, cassis, spices, bay leaf, dark chocolate and espresso.
