Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Gaja Ca'Marcanda "Camarcanda" Toscana (96RP, 95WS, 94JS, 93WE, 92ST, 91VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Bolgheri Camarcanda is an exceptional wine with a level of aromatic intensity and integrity that is impossible to exaggerate. The blend is Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, in that order of importance. The bouquet is impeccable and refined, with deep layers of Morello cherry, cassis, dried blackberry and spice that peel back in quick succession. The oak component is beautifully integrated, imparting notes of chocolate and tobacco that complete this beautiful portrait of Tuscan winemaking. Hold this bottle for a few more years. 2006 Fuligni Brunello di Montalcino
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2006 Fuligni Brunello di Montalcino (96JS, 96RP, 96ST, 96VN, 94WS, 93WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Fuligni’s 2006 Brunello di Montalcino is one of the stars of the vintage. Sweet floral notes weave through a core of expressive red fruit as the wine opens up in the glass. The 2006 shows incredible purity and finesse, most notably in its silky, polished tannins. This isn’t a blockbuster, but rather a wine that conquers through its sheer finesse. The wine spent 27 days on the skins. The volume and weight are influenced by the modern school, everything else is traditional all the way. The 2006 is the first vintage in which the percentage of French oak has been dropped to 25%, which has allowed the purity of the fruit to shine through to a degree that I have seldom, if ever, seen here. Rain during June naturally lowered yields and may partly explain why Fuligni’s 2006 is so phenomenal. Simply put, readers won’t want to miss this superb Brunello. Anticipate

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2006 Domenico Clerico "Pajana" Barolo (96RP, 93JS, 93ST, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2006 Barolo Pajana reveals incredible aromatic complexity and intensity, something this particular site isn’t always capable of. There is lovely definition to be found as this classic feeling, mid-weight Pajana opens up in the glass. Layers of ripe dark fruit, spices, flowers, licorice and minerals develop seamlessly through to the close. I am floored by the wine’s volume, depth and length. Quite simply, this is a magnificent effort from Clerico. Anticipated maturity: 2016-2031. (AG)" (02/2010)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2010 Il Poggione "Vigna Paganelli" Brunello di Montalcino Riserva (OWC - 98RP, 97JS, 95VN, 94WS) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Brunello di Montalcino Riserva Vigna Paganelli is a phenomenal achievement and a wine that captures not only the spirit of this classic vintage, but the true essence of an age-worthy wine like Brunello. This single vineyard Riserva is sharp, pristine and immaculate. It starts slow and shy, but then blossoms to beautiful intensity and aromatic brilliance. It delivers a very authentic and genuine read of Sangiovese with wild berry aromas followed by pressed violets, wet earth, tobacco and lightly toasted spice. The bouquet is seamless and very long in persistence. The same holds true for the mouthfeel. The wine delivers a fine and silky texture with a good dose of power and personality at the rear. 98+ (ML)" (03/2016)

1995 Pieve Santa Restituta (Gaja) "Rennina" Brunello di Montalcino
Bid on this bottle of 1995 Pieve Santa Restituta (Gaja) "Rennina" Brunello di Montalcino (94RP, 90ST, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "1995 was the first vintage where Angelo Gaja had total control over the viticulture and vinification of these Brunello di Montalcinos. This wine is spectacular, and among the finest I tasted from this vintage. The 1995 Brunello di Montalcino Rennina's dense dark ruby/garnet color is followed by a superb nose of chocolate, mocha, cedar, smoke, jammy berry, cherry, and strawberry fruit. This full-bodied, sweet, ageworthy offering exhibits super-extraction as well as high tannin. Flamboyant, it will be even better with 2-3 years of cellaring, and should last for two decades. This is an exceptionally impressive Brunello from Angelo Gaja. (RP)" (08/2000)

2010 Fontodi "Flaccianello della Pieve" Toscana
Bid on this bottle of 2010 Fontodi "Flaccianello della Pieve" Toscana (97RP, 96VN, 96WS, 94JS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "I remember the thrill this wine gave me when I tasted it upon release. The 2010 Flaccianello della Pieve is a spectacular effort that has only just started its evolutionary journey. This wine has a long, long way to go and I hope to be able to check on its progress with some degree of frequency. In fact, I'm moving the drinking window up by a few years to give it more breathing room. The wine opens to a rich and masculine appearance, and there are iron-like notes that seem specific to this vintage. More mineral and granite stone add great definition. At the core of this wine is a dark and savory serving of black cherry and spice that aspire to seamless integration. The tannins are still firmly on-guard, and this wine needs more time to complete its integration and start its elegant cellar evolution. (ML)" (10/2015)

Wine Enthusiast: "Here’s an unforgettable wine that absolutely makes the case for 2007 being one of the best vintages of late in Montalcino. The wine is broad and polished with masculine tones of dark fruit, leather and tobacco. These aromas evolve so quickly and with such pulsing intensity, the wine comes alive suddenly. There are dusty mineral shadings at the back with tightly textured tannins. Hold 10 more years. *Top 100 Cellar Selections of 2013*" (05/2013)

2010 Il Poggione Brunello di Montalcino
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2010 Il Poggione Brunello di Montalcino (98RP, 95WS, 94VN, 93JS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Brunello di Montalcino is a striking wine that shows uncompromising varietal pureness, albeit in a most concentrated and elaborate form. This is what great Sangiovese is all about. There's so much happening on the nose and the wine brings you to cherry, spice, licorice, cured meat, pressed rose and grilled meat in equal measure. No one element overpowers the next. The mouthfeel is also tight and bright with the kind of fruit intensity that promises long cellar aging. This Brunello is only at the beginning of a long road ahead. The longer the wine stays in the glass, the more it offers in terms of complexity and intensity. This is a true standout that can be enjoyed for up to 20 years ahead ... (ML)" (02/2015)

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2008 Luciano Sandrone "Cannubi Boschis" Barolo (95RP, 95ST, 94JS, 93WS, 92W&S). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2008 Barolo Cannubi Boschis is stunningly beautiful. It, too, is quite subtle and understated. The 2008 is a gorgeous, mid-weight wine laced with sweet red cherries, flowers, spices, mint and minerals. This is a decidedly feminine, gracious Cannubi Boschis that impresses for its elegance, class and finesse. Sweet floral notes add brightness on the Pinot-like, vibrant finish. The wine keeps getting better and better in the glass. This, too, is a dazzling effort. Anticipated maturity: 2016-2028. (AG)" (04/2012)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2011 Casanova di Neri "Tenuta Nuova" Brunello di Montalcino (95IWR, 95RP, 94JS, 93VN, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This is another fabulous wine from Giacomo Neri. The 2011 Brunello di Montalcino Tenuta Nuova is a deeply layered expression with bold tones of dark fruit that are softened and enhanced by spice, leather, tobacco and balsam herb. The wine is very beautiful and polished with slightly less depth and complexity compared the outstanding (100 point) vintage that precedes it. Despite the vintage variation, this is a wine of enormous pedigree and importance. It is generous and confident with a presentation that offers purity, intensity and persistence. (ML)" (03/2016)

2009 Dal Forno Romano Valpolicella Superiore
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2009 Dal Forno Romano Valpolicella Superiore (92VN, 91WS). Vinous: "Black cherries, plums, graphite, tapenade, melted road tar and game hits the palate as Romano Dal Forno's 2009 Valpolicella Superiore shows off its personality. The 2009 brings together the signature richness of a wine made from 100% dried fruit with distinctly wild, almost Syrah-like overtones. Inky and intense, with considerable tannic backbone, the 2009 is really more of a junior Amarone than a Valpolicella. Readers will want to give this super-expressive wine another few years in the cellar, but there is a lot to like, even today. (AG)" (07/2015)

2008 Produttori del Barbaresco "Montefico" Barbaresco Riserva
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2008 Produttori del Barbaresco "Montefico" Barbaresco Riserva (95RP, 92ST, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2008 Barbaresco Riserva Montefico hits the palate with a blast of fruit intermingled with copious acidity and pure structure. Montefico shares a boundary with Ovello, and shows many of the structural elements typically associated with that side, but with more depth in its fruit, probably because of the southern exposure. The high altitude of these parcels ensures there is plenty of freshness and vibrancy. The Montefico is dazzling, but it will require considerable patience. (AG)" (10/2012)

Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2010 Pieve Santa Restituta (Gaja) Brunello di Montalcino. Part of the Gaja landholdings, Pieve Santa Restituta was acquired by the family in 1994 and consists of 16 hectares of white, rocky soils. Antonio Galloni says of the estate and the vintage: "For some reason, Pieve Santa Restituta doesn't seem to get much attention within the Gaja lineup, which is a shame, as it seems pretty clear the Gaja family's Montalcino estate is second only to their Piedmont properties when it comes to quality and pedigree. The Pieve Santa Restituta Brunellos are often quite flashy when they are young, but in my experience they need at least a few years in bottle to truly blossom." (Vinous, 01/2015)

2010 Val di Suga "Spuntali" Brunello di Montalcino
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2010 Val di Suga "Spuntali" Brunello di Montalcino (95RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Showing much riper fruit characteristics, the 2010 Brunello di Montalcino Vigna Spuntali offers dark fruit and blackberry backed by spice, leather and tobacco. This is a profound and powerful wine that is released as a Riserva with one extra year of bottle aging after the five years you get with a Brunello annata. The results are sophisticated and deep with many layers of fruit, spice and balsam herb. The wine feels young in the mouth thanks to the tight tannins and bright acidity. These qualities should help it age throughout the years. I like this expression because it delivers loads of fruit and power at the same time. (ML)" (03/2016)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Brunello di Montalcino represents a return to the traditional values of Montalcino. The bouquet is buoyant and bright with lingering tones of smoke, ash, balsam herb, licorice and soy sauce. Those kinds of aromas make Brunello such a wonderful wine and thankfully you get them in abundance here. Dry mineral and brimstone also give the wine a sense of focus, sharpness and cleanliness that is very appealing. The close is long, fine and polished. Sweet, lush and deep, with outstanding clarity and lift to the pure flavors of red cherry, raspberry and flint. Pristine and very long on the vibrant finish, which features extremely sophisticated tannins and superb length. The wine's minerally, flinty quality runs through from nose to aftertaste. Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2012 Il Poggione Brunello di Montalcino (95RP, 93JS, 93VN, 93WE, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Il Poggione is a Brunello superstar and a vintage like this reveals every reason why that affirmation is true. From the second the 2012 Brunello di Montalcino pours into the glass, you know you are in for something special. The wine is darkly saturated and rich in appearance. Absent are those slightly amber or browning hues you often get with Sangiovese in a hot vintage. Nor does the wine show flat or tired characteristics. Instead, the quality of fruit is vibrant and rich. This is a healthy, generous and exuberant Brunello with dark density and succulent fruit flavors that are followed by integrated spice and tobacco. The balance is impressive and one thing you get here is fresh acidity. This is not to be underestimated, because the acidity quota in the 2012 vintage across the appellation is not as high or evident as usual. This is one of the year's best

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2004 Fontodi "Vigna del Sorbo" Chianti Classico Riserva (96RP, 94VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Medium to deep garnet colour. Pretty, fresh blackberry and warm cherry aromas on the nose with fragrant nuances of rose petals and Chinese five spice. The tannins are firm yet finely grained and accessible. A crisp backbone of acidity provides freshness and perfect balance to the rich, ripe fruit flavours. The style straddles that wonderfully fine line between elegance and decadence. Very long finish with lingering notes of black truffles. Drinking now but will certainly open and soften with 4-5 years more cellaring. Should continue to develop through 2020+. (LPB)" (03/2009)

2004 Conterno Fantino "Mosconi" Barolo
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2004 Conterno Fantino "Mosconi" Barolo (94ST, 92WS, 91VN). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Good deep red. Musky strawberry, blackberry, violet and sexy oak on the nose. Superripe and deep but youthfully backward, showing more cedar and tobacco and less flowers than the Ginestra. A big, rich, chewy wine that's currently showing more oakiness in the middle palate and wood tannins on the finish than the Ginestra. Seems almost old-fashioned in the context of this producer's wines. Incidentally, although Conterno replanted half of the vineyard in 1998, this 2004 was made from only the old vines. The Ginestra may well be tastable early for its sheer sex appeal but this bottle will require aging. (ST) 94+" (12/2007)

2007 Produttori del Barbaresco "Paje" Barbaresco Riserva
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2007 Produttori del Barbaresco "Paje" Barbaresco Riserva (92RP, 91WS, 90ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2007 Barbaresco Riserva Paje comes across as a bit simple in this vintage. It shows good fleshiness and lovely inner sweetness in a fairly approachable style. I don’t see the pedigree of the finest 2007 Riservas here. In exchange, though, readers will find a highly attractive, forward Barbaresco that will drink well right out of the gate. (AG)" (10/2011)

2003 Feudi di San Gregorio "Serpico" Irpinia
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2003 Feudi di San Gregorio "Serpico" Irpinia (92RP, 91WE, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2003 is a fascinating Serpico. The wine boasts impressive concentration in its dark, rich fruit. This is an incredibly primary Serpico, with little in the way of tertiary development. Ideally, it is best left alone for another few years, but readers fortunate enough to own this are in for a thrilling ride once the wine opens up a bit. Today it remains tightly coiled but full of potential. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2023. (AG)" (08/2010)

2004 Pieve Santa Restituta (Gaja) "Rennina" Brunello di Montalcino
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2004 Pieve Santa Restituta (Gaja) "Rennina" Brunello di Montalcino (95ST, 95WE, 93RP, 92WS). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Good deep red. Powerful yet elegant nose shows more berries and minerals and less oak than the Sugarille; this is downright Musigny-like. Then silky, suave and graceful on the palate, with compelling inner-mouth floral perfume and a wonderfully pliant texture. If anything, this wine is even more intense on the suavely tannic, extremely long finish than in the middle, as its underlying minerality gives it outstanding grip and finesse. This is made from a blend of sites while Sugarille is from a single vineyard, but it was this wine that spun my head around when I tasted the two bottles side by side. (ST)" (07/2009)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2003 Tenuta Sette Ponti "Oreno" Toscana (95WS, 90RP, 90WE). Wine Spectator: " Breathtaking. Dense and powerful, with grilled meat and currant aromas and flavors. Full-bodied, round and chewy; a massive and exciting wine. More muscular than the 2001. Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon. Best after 2007. *Highly Recommended & Ranked #5 of Top 100 Wines of 2005* (JS)" (10/2005)
