2003 Feudi di San Gregorio "Serpico" Irpinia
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2003 Feudi di San Gregorio "Serpico" Irpinia (92RP, 91WE, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2003 is a fascinating Serpico. The wine boasts impressive concentration in its dark, rich fruit. This is an incredibly primary Serpico, with little in the way of tertiary development. Ideally, it is best left alone for another few years, but readers fortunate enough to own this are in for a thrilling ride once the wine opens up a bit. Today it remains tightly coiled but full of potential. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2023. (AG)" (08/2010)

2007 Pian dell'Orino "Bassolino" Brunello di Montalcino
Bid on this bottle of 2007 Pian dell'Orino "Bassolino" Brunello di Montalcino (93RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The estate’s 2007 Brunello di Montalcino Bassolino di Sopra 1500 emerges from the glass with endless layers of fruit. A pure, voluptuous 2007, the Bassolino di Sopra 1500 is rich, round and seamless. Deeply spiced notes develop in the glass as the wine shows off its striking personality. I am not a huge fan of extended time in oak for wines of such purity, but the 2007 handles its 48 months in barrel quite nicely, although it is naturally shaped by its aging regime, especially from a textural perspective. The 2007 is made exclusively from the estate’s holdings in Pian Bossolino, but that site has also been trademarked by another winery, hence the slight name variation here. Anticipated maturity: 2015-2027. " (06/2013)

2007 Castello di Neive "Santo Stefano" Barbaresco
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2007 Castello di Neive "Santo Stefano" Barbaresco (95RP, 94WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2007 Barbaresco Albesani Santo Stefano shows the weight and richness that is typical of this south-facing site in Neive. A rich fabric of dark fruit, fresh roses, new leather and menthol completely cover the palate. The Santo Stefano is impeccable in its generous, enveloping fruit. The intensity and sheer depth of the fruit manages to virtually bury the tannins, but they are there. As delicious as this is today, it will be even better in a few years- time. Anticipated maturity: 2015-2027. Castello di Neive, one of the historic producers in Barbaresco, seems to fly under the radar, but the best of the wines are well worth discovering and offer terrific quality for the money. Bid on this bottle of 2001 Dal Forno Romano Amarone della Valpolicella (97RP, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2001 Amarone is on another level entirely. It exudes notable warmth and ripeness, with profound layers of Venezuelan bitter chocolate, herbs, licorice, smoke, dark fruit and toasted oak. Made in an explosive style, this palate-staining Amarone possesses remarkable detail and nuance for such a big wine. It has been phenomenal on the two occasions I have tasted it so far. This sweet, nuanced Brunello shows outstanding persistence and balance, particularly in the way the tannins are so beautifully integrated with the rest of the wine. Full-bodied, with superb tannins and fruit that goes on for minutes. It was aged for 45 months in 100 per cent new French oak barrels and you don't even sense any wood. It is a layered, full-bodied wine with attractive notes of tobacco, sweet red cherries, wild herbs and toasted oak. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2004 Marchesi di Gresy "Camp Gros Martinenga" Barbaresco (94RP, 91W&S). This fresh, vibrant Barbaresco explodes from the glass with a gorgeous array of macerated dark cherries, spices, menthol, pine, minerals and toasted oak. The wine reveals superb depth and clarity, with awesome finesse. This is the finest wine I can recall tasting here in many a year. Camp Gros is made from a parcel adjacent to Rabaja. 1990 Vietti Barolo Rocche
Bid on this bottle of 1990 Vietti Barolo Rocche (95RP, 92VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1990 Barolo Rocche is simply breathtaking for its elegance and power. Here, too, the wine has retained terrific freshness in its color, perfume and fruit. The 1990 Barolo Rocche emerges from the glass with stunning purity, depth and richness in a style that perfectly captures the boldness of the vintage. Sweet mentholated notes add complexity on the close. The 1990 is decidedly more powerful than the 1989, and while it may lack that wine’s silkiness, the 1990 could last longer based on the sheer muscle of the fruit. Both vintages are awesome, though.
