Of the 2011 Léoville-Las Cases, St-Julien,Wine Enthusiast writes: " **Cellar Selection** Huge structure, huge potential, a wine that will bring out all the fruit and density of the vintage while remaining very fresh. Black plums are already showing strongly along with the dry core that promises aging. It’s serious while alive and bright. Drink this major wine from 2022." (05/2014)

2008 Léoville-Poyferré, St-Julien
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2008 Léoville-Poyferré, St-Julien (94RP, 94WE, 93JS, 91CG, 91ST, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of the finest over-achieving efforts in this vintage as well as a 'best buy' for a top-flight St.-Julien, this 2008 is an irresistible success. It reveals an opaque ruby/purple color, lots of unctuosity and a boatload of sweet cassis and black cherry fruit intertwined with notions of licorice, smoke and oak. Full-bodied, remarkably concentrated and stunningly pure and textured, this sensational wine is already drinking well, and will be even better with 2-3 years of cellaring. It should last for 20-25 years. Bravo! (RP)" (05/2011)

1999 Mouton Rothschild, Pauillac
Bid on this bottle of 1999 Mouton Rothschild, Pauillac (93JS, 93RP, 91WS, 90ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The beautiful 1999 Mouton Rothschild may be a modern day clone of their 1962 or 1985. Its saturated ruby/purple color is followed by sumptuous aromas of cedar wood, creme de cassis, wood smoke, coffee, and dried herbs. The wine is forward, lush, and full-bodied. It is already complex as well as succulent, fleshy, and long. Tannin in the finish suggests more nuances will emerge in 4-5 years. It is a complex, classic Mouton. Anticipated maturity: 2005-2030. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This gorgeous, fully mature, complex Pape Clement exhibits notes of smoky tobacco, earth, loamy soil, forest floor, black cherries, plums and cassis. Medium to full-bodied, fresh and lively, the acids have fallen away and the tannins have melted into an opulent, fleshy, classic Bordeaux. Consume it over the next 10-15 years. Bravo! Hints of prunes but mostly currants and spices on the nose, mainly cinnamon. Full-bodied with firm tannins yet polished and velvety. It still has an incredible freshness. I love it. Of the 2001 Rieussec, Sauternes,Wine Spectator writes: "*Wine of the Year 2004, Collectibles* Like lemon curd on the nose, turning to honey and caramel. Full-bodied and very sweet, with fantastic concentration of ripe and botrytized fruit, yet balanced and refined. Electric acidity. Lasts for minutes on the palate. This is absolutely mind-blowing. Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2000 Ducru-Beaucaillou, St-Julien (96JS, 95RP, 94WS, 92ST). James Suckling: "I must admit that I was a little unimpressed with the Ducru 2000 in the beginning when I tasted it after bottling in 2003. But it's clearly outstanding now and seems to get better and better with age. It shows wonderful aromas of roses and currants with hints of mint. It's full body yet very finely textured with pretty fruit concentration and length." (06/2016)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2000 Lafite-Rothschild, Pauillac (100JS, 99WE, 98RP, 98WS, 96ST, 95W&S). James Suckling: "The nose is fresh, bright, and dense. With aromas of violets, minerals, spices, cool stones, mint, dark fruits, and plum skins, this is beautiful. Very much still a baby right now, it needs much more time. This is a wine for the next generation. Finesse and elegance, truly a wine that makes you contemplate life. This is not about power, there is really nothing like it. 93% Cabernet Sauvignon. 1996 Margaux, Margaux
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1996 Margaux, Margaux (100RP, 96ST, 95WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1996 Chateau Margaux, a blend of 82% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Merlot, 4% Petit Verdot and 2% Cabernet Franc, must be a strong contender for wine of the vintage. It offers everything you desire from this First Growth. It is blessed with breathtaking delineation and freshness on the nose, understated at first and then blossoming with mineral-infused black fruit, hints of blueberry, crushed stone and violet. The palate is perfectly balanced with filigree tannin, perfect acidity, a wine where everything seems to be in its right place. Blackberry, crushed stone at the front of the mouth, just a touch of spice towards the finish that shows supreme control. This is a Margaux that seems to light up the senses. It was outstanding in its youth...something that has not changed one bit over the intervening two decades. This may well turn out to be the Left Bank pinnacle of the 1990s. Tasted Ju

Very ripe, slightly jammy aromas of raspberry, chocolate and smoked duck. Sweet and velvety, but sound acids give the fruit an unusually penetrating quality. Quite long and oaky on the finish; chewy tannins coat the palate. (ST)" (05/1998)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2000 Cos d'Estournel, St-Estèphe (94W&S, 94WE, 93JS, 92WS). Wine Enthusiast: "For a Saint-Estèphe this is surprisingly supple at this stage. The density is all in the exotic fruit, while the tannins are more of a background. That suggests this is a wine that will develop relatively fast, but it is going to give great pleasure along the way." (06/2003)

Bid on this bottle of 1989 Tertre Roteboeuf, St-Emilion ((94-95RP), 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Deep ruby/purple with slightly more intensity to its hue than the 1990, this full-bodied wine still has a very roasted character intermixed with sweet chocolate Raisinet-like flavors. Sweet, overripe cherries also make an appearance in this thick, juicy, yet structured, rather powerful Tertre Roteboeuf that is aging more slowly than its more renowned sibling, the 1990. This is a classic wine that should continue to repay cellaring. Anticipated maturity: 2005-2020. (RP)" (01/2003)

James Suckling: "Like so many 2004s, this is so wonderfully drinkable now with spice, chocolate and Asian mushroom character. Hints of curry too. Full body, ultra-fine tannins and a lightly chewy finish. I like the fruit and austerity to this. Drink or hold." (10/2016)

2000 Haut-Brion, Pessac-Léognan
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2000 Haut-Brion, Pessac-Léognan (99RP, 96ST, 96WE, 95JS, 94W&S, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2000 Haut-Brion (a blend of 51% Merlot, 43% Cabernet Sauvignon, and the rest Cabernet Franc) showed incredibly at the tasting, and for me is one of the three or four most prodigious wines of the vintage. A compelling nose of roasted herbs, scorched earth, sweet blueberries, plums, black currants, and a hint of graphite is followed by a deep, layered, sumptuously textured, full-bodied Haut-Brion, but one with extraordinary complexity. This wine seems more evolved and approachable than I had expected it to be at age 10. My window of maturity seven years ago was 2012-2040, but I would change that to 2010-2050. (RP)" (06/2010)

2003 Margaux, Margaux
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2003 Margaux, Margaux (98RP, 97JS, 96ST, 96WE, 95WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This was the finest performance by this wine that I have seen since it was released. I did not expect the 2003 Chateau Margaux to show this well in a vintage where the southern part of the Medoc was clearly less impressive than the north. However, it is a beautiful, dark plum/purple-tinged effort with sensational aromatics, a full-bodied mouthfeel, and a youthfulness, precision and freshness that belie what one generally associates with this vintage. It can be drunk now and over the next 15-20 years. Kudos to Chateau Margaux. (RP)" (08/2014)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2004 Mouton Rothschild, Pauillac (94JS, 94W&S, 93VN, 93WS, 92ST, 90RP). James Suckling: "I drank this 2004 Chateau Mouton-Rothschild the other night at home with some wine producers. I decanted it only right before serving - a mistake made while concentrating on the cooking food. On the nose there were coffee and chocolate aromas with hints of vanilla. It was super fruity, and its medium body was coupled with beautifully soft tannins. This is just coming around now and it's very New World in style. Overall, a much overlooked vintage from Mouton." 1996 Pichon-Baron, Pauillac
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1996 Pichon-Baron, Pauillac (91RP, 90ST, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Pichon Longueville Baron's 1996 has turned out to be even better than I thought from cask. The high percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon in the blend (about 80%) resulted in a wine that has put on weight in the bottle. An opaque purple color is accompanied by beautiful aromas of tobacco, new saddle leather, roasted coffee, and cassis. It is dense, medium to full-bodied, and backward, with moderately high tannin, but plenty of sweet fruit, glycerin, and extract to balance out the wine's structure. This well-endowed, classic Pauillac should be at its finest between 2006-2022. (RP)" (04/1999)

Of the 1995 Cos d'Estournel, St-Estèphe,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "A wine of extraordinary intensity and accessibility, the 1995 Cos d'Estournel is a sexier, more hedonistic offering than the muscular, backward 1996. Opulent, with forward aromatics (gobs of black fruits intermixed with toasty pain grille scents and a boatload of spice), this terrific Cos possesses remarkable intensity, full body, and layers of jammy fruit nicely framed by the wine's new oak. Because of low acidity and sweet tannin, the 1995 will be difficult to resist young, although it will age for 2-3 decades. Anticipated maturity: 2001-2025. (RP)" (02/1998)

1996 Ducru-Beaucaillou, St-Julien
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1996 Ducru-Beaucaillou, St-Julien (96RP, 94ST, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1996 is long, with a deep mid-palate. It also reveals tannin in the finish. This wine is remarkable. It is muscular, concentrated, and classic. Bottled in late June, 1998, it exhibits a saturated ruby/purple color, as well as a knock-out nose of minerals, licorice, cassis, and an unmistakable lead pencil smell that I often associate with top vintages of Lafite-Rothschild. It is sweet and full-bodied, yet unbelievably rich with no sense of heaviness or flabbiness. The wine possesses high tannin, but it is extremely ripe, and the sweetness of the black currant, spice-tinged Cabernet Sauvignon fruit is pronounced. This profound, backward Ducru-Beaucaillou is a must purchase. (RP)" (04/1999)

1996 Pichon-Lalande, Pauillac

The 1996 Pichon Lalande is stratospheric from the very first taste. The deep, layered bouquet alone is deeply transfixing. Smoke, mocha, dark spices, lavender, crème de cassis, a host of dark-fleshed fruits and a touch of warm, resonant sweetness from the French oak draw me in. All of those sensations follow through to the palate, where the wine is massive, intense and totally enveloping. Time has softened the tannins to the point the 1996 is ready to drink, but there is enough sheer concentration here to support another 20-30 years of exceptional drinking ... (AG)" (02/2016)

A soaring blackberry, blueberry, cedar and wild strawberry nose with a touch of violets. Very fine tannins on the full-bodied palate, superb focus, elegant and feminine with a touch of burst toast and graphite on the finish. Great persistency. Quintessential Pauillac – at its finest. Drink 2012-2025. Tasted May 2009. (NM)" (05/2009)

Bid on this 3-magnum lot of 2005 Beau-Séjour-Bécot, St-Emilion (1.5L) (94RP, 92ST, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A beautiful wine from Beau-Séjour Bécot, the color of the 2005 is an opaque purple and the wine is loaded with notes of cedar wood, Asian spice, blackberry and cassis fruit. Full-bodied and tannic, but broad, huge, and massive, this wine is still an infant and needs another 7-10 years of cellaring. This is a 40- to 50-year wine from the Bécot family. 94+ points. 2009 Lynch-Bages, Pauillac
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2009 Lynch-Bages, Pauillac (98RP, 97JS, 96WE, 96WS, 93ST, 93VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Performing even better from bottle than it did from barrel, this appears to be the finest Lynch Bages since the 2000, 1990 and 1989. According to the chateau, the 2009 has the highest level of polyphenols ever measured as well as high alcohol (nearly 13.5%). A blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest largely Merlot with touches of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, it is an expressive, voluptuously textured effort with unctuosity and powerful, juicy, succulent blackberry and black currant flavors, low acids, a layered, massive mouthfeel, but no sense of heaviness or fatigue. This exquisite Lynch Bages should drink well for 30+ years. (RP)" (02/2012)

1997 Cos d'Estournel, St-Estèphe
Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 1997 Cos d'Estournel, St-Estèphe ((89-90ST)). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Very good ruby-red. Complex, expressive aromas of cassis, black cherry, licorice and animal fur. Supple but with good vinosity; ripe acids are in harmony with the wine fruit. Finishes with mouthcoating tannins and a peppery note. The top wine of St. Estephe in '97 based on my tastings this spring. (ST)" (06/1999)

1970 Lafite-Rothschild, Pauillac
Bid on this bottle of 1970 Lafite-Rothschild, Pauillac (90RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Tasted at the 'First Growth' lunch in London. Nice clear colour. The bouquet definitely has more vigour then previous bottles encountered, with sandalwood, cigar box and cedar to the fore. Not a complex nose, but nicely defined and unashamedly 'classic' in style. The palate is medium-bodied and well-balanced, good level of ripeness, elegant; harmonious but aloof. The second half is conservative but still fresh with just a touch of piquancy right on the finish. This Lafite is not going to go anywhere, but this shows that good bottles can still be pleasurable. 1982 Duhart-Milon-Rothschild, Pauillac
Bid on this bottle of 1982 Duhart-Milon-Rothschild, Pauillac (94RP, 90ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This blockbuster was a sleeper of the vintage long before the Rothschilds invested so heavily in modernizing this estate as well as began making a stricter selection. Close to full maturity, the 1982 Duhart Milon exhibits classic notes of creme de cassis, cedar, and flowers, medium to full body, a high level of glycerin, and a lusciousness and fleshiness that are very much in keeping with the vintage. There is a slight amount of pink at the rim, but this beauty should keep for another ten years." (06/2009)

1978 Margaux, Margaux
Bid on this bottle of 1978 Margaux, Margaux (93RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1978 Chateau Margaux is a significant wine for two reasons: that is was the first under the Mentzelopoulos family after acquiring the property and also, it was their best wine in many years. Today it is still going strong. Clear in color, it has quite a deep garnet core. The nose is very seductive with black fruit, leather, scorched earth, a hint of lavender all beautifully defined and quintessentially Margaux. The medium-bodied palate has exquisite balance, the acidity nicely judged, still a little masculine and 'solid' compared to the subsequent vintages under Paul Pontallier, yet fresh and vital. Sure, there is a grittiness and a touch of rusticity towards the finish, but all in all, this represents a great 1978 Left Bank and a signpost that the First Growth was back on the right track after a dismal run of vintages during the 1970s. Tasted May 2016. (NM)" (10/2016)

1975 Mouton-Rothschild, Pauillac
Bid on this bottle of 1975 Mouton-Rothschild, Pauillac (95JS, 91RP). James Suckling: "I absolutely love the nose of licorice, minerals, black currants, and berries.
