Of the 1995 Clerc-Milon, Pauillac,Wine Spectator writes: "Gorgeous aromas of black licorice, currant and blackberry. Full-bodied, with silky tannins and a long, caressing finish. 2004 Duhart-Milon, Pauillac
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2004 Duhart-Milon, Pauillac (91RP, 91WE, 90W&S). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Another sleeper of the vintage for this property that has been doing impressive work over recent vintages, the 2004 (a blend of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Merlot) displays a dark ruby/purple color along with classic aromas of cedar, creme de cassis, earth, spice, and wood. Medium to full-bodied, ripe, long, and impressively endowed, it should be at its peak between 2010-2022. (RP)" (06/2007)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2004 Pichon-Baron, Pauillac (94RP, 94WE, 93W&S, 92JS, 91ST, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Tasted at the London Pichon-Baron off-line. This is a great, great 2004 – a huge success for Christian Seely in a more challenging growing season than the ensuing one. A soaring blackberry, blueberry, cedar and wild strawberry nose with a touch of violets. Very fine tannins on the full-bodied palate, superb focus, elegant and feminine with a touch of burst toast and graphite on the finish. Great persistency. Quintessential Pauillac – at its finest. Drink 2012-2025. Tasted May 2009. (NM)" (05/2009)

Of the 1995 Cos d'Estournel, St-Estèphe,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "A wine of extraordinary intensity and accessibility, the 1995 Cos d'Estournel is a sexier, more hedonistic offering than the muscular, backward 1996. Opulent, with forward aromatics (gobs of black fruits intermixed with toasty pain grille scents and a boatload of spice), this terrific Cos possesses remarkable intensity, full body, and layers of jammy fruit nicely framed by the wine's new oak. Because of low acidity and sweet tannin, the 1995 will be difficult to resist young, although it will age for 2-3 decades. Anticipated maturity: 2001-2025. (RP)" (02/1998)

Full-bodied, with polished velvety tannins, plenty of fruit and a cedary aftertaste. Tight and compacted. This is better than the 2000 Mouton. It's a baby 1986 Mouton. Solid and very, very fine. Persists for a long time on the palate. " (03/2004)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2000 Pichon-Lalande, Pauillac (96RP, 96WE, 95WS, 94ST, 93JS, 92W&S). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: " I find this to be a spectacular Pichon Lalande. Dense purple in color, with loads of coffee, mocha, creme de cassis, and chocolate notes, this is a somewhat unusual blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 34% Merlot, and a whooping 10% Petit Verdot, with a little bit of Cabernet Franc. The Petit Verdot certainly gives the wine more of a tapenade, floral note, which I think can be interpreted by some as herbal. (RP)" (06/2010)

1996 Lynch-Bages, Pauillac
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1996 Lynch-Bages, Pauillac (93RP, 92WS, 91ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1996 exhibits a dark plum/ruby/purple color that is just beginning to lighten at the edge, surprisingly velvety tannins and a classic Pauillac bouquet of lead pencil shavings, cedarwood, black currants, sweet cherries and spice box. This medium to full-bodied, elegant, savory, broad wine is still five years away from full maturity. It should continue to drink well for another 10-15 years. (RP)" (08/2011)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2000 Malescot-St-Exupéry, Margaux (95RP, 93WS, 91ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This estate, which has continued to impress me in recent years, hit a home run in 2000. Showing slightly better than I rated it previously, this wine is deep bluish/purple with some lightening at the edge, and its floral nose displays notes of melted licorice, crushed rock, blueberries and black raspberries. A wine of extraordinary balance, equilibrium, and purity, with supple tannins, this medium to full-bodied, concentrated effort is already compelling and has hit its window of full maturity, where it should stay for another 15-20 years. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2000 Canon-La-Gaffelière, St-Emilion (94RP, 93ST, 93WE, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Performing as I expected, but still several years away from full maturity, this extraordinarily flamboyant, full-bodied, opulent, sexy St. Emilion stood out for its backward structure and youthful personality. A dark plum/garnet hue is followed by a superb bouquet of roasted coffee, kirsch, blackberries, licorice, herbs, and forest floor. Full-bodied, dense, rich, and pure, it is a total hedonistic as well as intellectual turn-on. Enjoy it over the next decade. (RP)" (06/2010)

1988 Margaux, Margaux
Bid on this bottle of 1988 Margaux, Margaux (95WS, 93JS). Wine Spectator: "This has both sinew and flesh, with taut dried red currant, blackberry and plum skin notes that are forced to expand outward as the core of black tea, charcoal, plum paste and dark humus fills in quickly behind them. The charcoal-tinged grip carries the finish, with more bass than treble at first, but there's perfume here as well. Seriously long and the most overlooked of the truly great vintages here. 1999 Palmer, Margaux
Bid on this bottle of 1999 Palmer, Margaux (95RP, 92ST, 91JS, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1999 is the greatest Palmer made since 1961, 1966, 1970, 1983, and 1989. It is one of the superstars of the vintage. The wine is a blend of 48% Cabernet Sauvignon, 46% Merlot, and 6% Petit Verdot. It boasts a staggering bouquet of violets and other spring flowers intermixed with licorice, black currants, and subtle wood. Only 50% of the production made it into the grand vin. This is a multidimensional, compelling effort with both power and elegance, it offers sweet tannin along with flavors that caress the palate, and a 45-second finish. This is terrific stuff! Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The staff at Cordier have every right to be happy with this splendidly concentrated, complex, fully mature wine. Tremendous intensity, viscous, ripe, and layered with honeyed, apricot-flavored fruit, this unctuous wine is not tiring or heavy to drink, but lively and effusively fruity. (RP)" (01/1998)

Bid on this bottle of 2004 Haut-Brion, Pessac-Léognan (96W&S, 96WE, 95WS, 92RP, 91ST). Wine Enthusiast: "Of the pair of châteaux, La Mission Haut-Brion and Haut-Brion (both owned by the Dillon banking family) that face each other across the crowded streets of Pessac, Haut-Brion is the one with the structure, the darkness, the brooding character. This is so true of 2004, with its hugely firm structure underlying the initial supple fruit. At the end, the acidity is an enticing surprise, lifting the aftertaste." (06/2007)

1988 Raymond Lafon, Sauternes
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 1988 Raymond Lafon, Sauternes (92RP, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This small estate continues to turn out remarkably rich, unctuously-textured, thick, powerful wines that brilliantly balance power and intensity with elegance and finesse. The 1988 offers the most refined aromatic profile and the tightest structure. All three wines share opulent, full-bodied, exotic, lavishly rich personalities, moderate sweetness (the 1990 is the sweetest), and huge quantities of extract, glycerin, and alcohol in their finishes. All three wines are also extremely young and unevolved. They can be drunk now, but purchasers are advised to wait until the turn of the century and enjoy them over the following two decades. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1995 Tertre Roteboeuf, St-Emilion (94RP, 94ST, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A very powerful, concentrated Tertre Roteboeuf, but completely closed at present, this wine has a deep ruby/purple color, and a sweet nose of black cherry and plum jam intermixed with hints of vanilla, chocolate, and espresso roast. The wine is medium to full-bodied, quite tannic, powerful, and one of the more backward wines I have tasted at this estate. It requires much more cellaring than I originally anticipated. 94+ (RP)" (01/2003)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Belair-Monange, St-Emilion (96RP, 95JS, 95WE, 94WS, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "An absolutely magnificent wine from Christian Moueix and his son Edouard, this wine is right up there with their 2009 and may eclipse it in terms of its potential longevity. Dense purple, with a near-liqueur of crushed rocks and chalk intermixed with blueberry, black raspberry and cassis, this wine is very full-bodied for a Belair, with ethereal complexity and impressive texture and length ... Bid on this 3 liter 1-bottle lot of 1989 Lynch-Bages, Pauillac (3L) (96WS, 95RP, 95ST). Wine Spectator: "Delivers so much blackberry, leather and dried fruits on the nose. Full-bodied, with ultrapolished tannins and a silky mouthfeel. The palate turns to leaves, cedar and dried berries on the finish, which goes on and on. This is still reserved for the vintage, suggesting a long life ahead. Just coming around now, but will improve many years ahead. I have always loved this Lynch. (JS, Web-2010)"

Bid on this 12-bottle lot of 2006 Pavie-Decesse, St-Emilion (OWC - 94RP, 93ST, 91WS) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Planted in pure limestone above Gerard Perse’s other famous vineyard/terroir, Chateau Pavie, this 10-acre site’s vines average 47 years of age. Fashioned from remarkably low yields, this blend of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc is a powerful, dense, tannic wine that will require considerable time to round into shape. It exhibits a dense purple color along with sweet aromas of mulberries, black currants, minerals, cold steel, graphite, and background spice. Full-bodied, highly-extracted, dense, and made in an unfashionably tannic, broodingly backward style, this is a wine for the ages. It requires 8-10 years of cellaring, and should last for 25-30+. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2005 Ducru Beaucaillou is a 10,000-case blend of 67% Cabernet Sauvignon and 33% Merlot (they used to produce 18,000-20,000 cases). It is an exceptionally powerful wine with a dense purple color, superb intensity, and a beautiful, sweet nose of spring flowers, raspberries, blueberries, graphite, and creme de cassis. Full-bodied with fabulous concentration, exceptionally high tannin, good acidity, and massive layers of richness that build incrementally on the palate, this monumental effort is more structured than their outstanding 2003. It may be the finest wine produced at this estate since the 1982 and 1961 Ducrus. Anticipated maturity: 2018-2050. (RP)" (04/2008)

James Suckling: "An incredible nose, so subtle with red fruits, mint, minerals, and all sorts of flowers give way to Cohiba cigar tobacco. It is a brilliant effort from the young Janouiex, but it needs some cellaring. (RP)" (04/2008)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2000 La Conseillante, Pomerol (96RP, 95WS, (90-93ST), 92JS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "La Conseillante made an excellent wine in 2001, another great one in 2005, and the estate hit home runs in both 2008 and, above all, in 2009. In fact, the latter vintage may well end up being the modern-day reference point for La Conseillante. Nevertheless, there’s a lot to be said for this 2000. An elegant, gentle style that is never a blockbuster, the 2000 La Conseillante has a deep ruby/plum/purple color and an unbelievably expressive nose of sweet kirsch liqueur intermixed with raspberries, incense, toast, and licorice. 1996 Latour, Pauillac (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum lot of 1996 Latour, Pauillac (1.5L) (99RP, 96WS, 95ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A spectacular Latour, the 1996 may be the modern day clone of the 1966, only riper. This vintage, which is so variable in Pomerol, St.-Emilion, and Graves, was fabulous for the late-harvested Cabernet Sauvignon of the northern Medoc because of splendid weather in late September and early October. An opaque purple color is followed by phenomenally sweet, pure aromas of cassis infused with subtle minerals. This massive offering possesses unreal levels of extract, full body, intensely ripe, but abundant tannin, and a finish that lasts for nearly a minute. Classic and dense, it displays the potential for 50-75 years of longevity. Although still an infant, it would be educational to taste a bottle." (06/2000)

Full-bodied with velvety tannins that have resolved themselves beautifully over the last eleven years, this wine is still an adolescent, but it exhibits admirable purity, texture, mouthfeel and power combined with elegance. Bid on this 3-half-bottle lot of 1999 Palmer, Margaux (375ml) (94RP, 92ST, 91JS, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Though I have tasted many vintages of Palmer in recent months, it has been some time since I tasted the 1999 Palmer. Now at 17 years of age, it has a really quite splendid bouquet that is so fresh and vital, pure brambly red fruit, sloes and iodine. It has certainly lost some of the headiness that it showed over its first 10 years, but it is still a Palmer that likes to party. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin. There is good depth here, clean and fresh with wonderful poise. This is a "correct" Palmer, self-aware that it was not born in a propitious vintage, therefore it might seem a little restrained, even conservative in character. That would ignore its precision and grace, the manner in which it gently builds to the finish. You can drink this now but I would be inclined to give it another 3-4 years. There are few better Left Bank 1999s than Palmer. (NM)"

1959 Mouton Rothschild, Pauillac
Bid on this bottle of 1959 Mouton Rothschild, Pauillac (100JS, 100RP, 98WS, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "I am always blown away by the 1959 Mouton, one of the greatest Moutons made in the last thirty-five years. Every time I have this wine it is undeniable that Mouton made a richer, more persuasive wine in 1959 than in 1961. Astonishingly young and unevolved, with a black/purple color, the wine exhibits a youthful nose of cassis, minerals, and new oak. It is exceptionally powerful and super-extracted, with the fruit supported by high levels of tannin and some lusty quantities of alcohol. This mammoth, full-bodied Mouton-Rothschild should continue to evolve for another 20-30 years. It may well be a 100-year wine! (RP)" (01/1998)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1986 possesses outstanding richness, a deep color, medium body, a graceful, harmonious texture, and superb length. The penetrating fragrance of cedar, chestnuts, minerals, and rich fruit is a hallmark of this wine. Powerful, dense, rich, and tannic, as well as medium to full-bodied, with awesome extraction of fruit, this Lafite has immense potential. Patience is required. Anticipated maturity: 2000-2030. 2005 Pontet-Canet, Pauillac
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2005 Pontet-Canet, Pauillac (97RP, 96WS, 95ST, 94WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Possibly the youngest wine of all the 2005 Médocs in terms of its evolution, at age 10 the inky purple 2005 Pontet-Canet tastes more like a two-year-old wine. Loads of pure blueberry, blackberry and cassis fruit are present along with a hint of licorice and background oak. It is full-bodied, ripe, and excruciatingly fresh, vigorous and exuberant. This is a tour de force, and a sensational effort that rivals the first growths. Give it another 5-10 years of cellaring, and drink it over the following 30-40 years. 97+ points." (06/2015)

1990 Montrose, St-Estèphe
Bid on this bottle of 1990 Montrose, St-Estèphe (100RP, 95ST, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The final blend of 64% Cabernet Sauvignon, 32% Merlot and 4% Cabernet Franc was harvested between September 14 and October 3. The spring was cold, yet summer was extremely hot and dry – one of the hottest vintages since 1949. The fact that virtually no rain fell in September served as a catalyst to get all the grapes ripe and in cellars....This wine has an incredibly complex nose of spring flowers, blackberry and cassis liqueur, scorched earth and barbecue spice. It is full-bodied, majestic and opulent, with low acidity and fabulous fruit. It is close to full maturity. The wine should continue to drink well for at least another 30 or more years, but it is showing secondary nuances in the perfume. The wine is absolutely magnificent, broad, savory and mouth-filling. This is one of the all-time modern legends from Bordeaux as well as Chateau Montrose. (RP)" (08/2014)

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2009 Cos d'Estournel, St-Estèphe (100JS, 100RP, 97WS, 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of the greatest young wines I have ever tasted, the monumental 2009 Cos d'Estournel has lived up to its pre-bottling potential. A remarkable effort from winemaking guru Jean-Guillaume Prats and owner Michel Reybier, this blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest Merlot (33%) and a touch of Cabernet Franc (2%) was cropped at 33 hectoliters per hectare. It boasts an inky/black/purple color along with an extraordinary bouquet of white flowers interwoven with blackberry and blueberry liqueur, incense, charcoal and graphite ... (RP)" (02/2012)

1979 Pavie, St. Emilion
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1979 Pavie, St. Emilion. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This is an attractive Pavie that is nearing maturity. The 1979 has surprisingly dark ruby color with only a trace of amber, with a toasty, smoky, herb-and-berry-scented bouquet, medium body, good power and weight, and moderate tannins. It is a tasty but compact wine. (Tasted 3/1991) (RP)" (01/1998)

Of the 2001 Léoville-Las-Cases, St-Julien,Wine Enthusiast writes: "*Cellar Selection* A classic in development, a wine that will last for decades. It is certainly powerful, but already the shape is finalized, with its plums and berries settling down with perfumes, acidity, just enough tannins and a warm, welcoming richness. A great argument for the superiority of 2001 over 2000. (RV)" (12/2007)

1999 Margaux, Margaux
Bid on this bottle of 1999 Margaux, Margaux (94RP, 93ST, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The sexy, dark plum/purple-colored 1999 Margaux is already revealing complex aromatics. This surprisingly charming and round offering is reminiscent of a vintage such as 1985. Although neither a blockbuster nor a heavyweight, it grows in the mouth revealing tremendous length as well as purity. Administrator Paul Pontallier prefers it to the more austere 1998, as do I. This is an archetypical Chateau Margaux of richness, finesse, balance, and symmetry. It can be drunk young, but promises to age nicely for two decades. Extrapolating backwards, it would probably have something in common with the underrated 1962 Medocs. (RP)" (04/2002)

1990 de Fargues, Sauternes
Bid on this bottle of 1990 de Fargues, Sauternes (96RP, 94WS, 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "After a scorching summer, the 1990 de Fargues harvest began early (on September 18) and the fruit was picked over 4 tries until October 10 – the earliest harvest on record. It is the most powerful of the trilogy. Delivering 130 grams-per-liter residual sugar at 13.6% alcohol, it has a prodigious bouquet of over-ripe oranges, toffee apple, chlorophyll and even a faint hint of chocolate. The palate is medium-bodied with a luscious ripe mandarin and apricot-tinged entry, building wonderfully to a botrytis-laden finish that fans out like a firework, leaving traces of cumin and dried orange peel on the long finish. The ’90 de Fargues is simply superb in every way, a multi-faceted wonder. (NM)" (06/2013)
