2007 Groth "Reserve" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2007 Groth "Reserve" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon (96WE, 94W&S, 94WS). Wine Enthusiast: "A huge Cabernet, in the best sense of the word. It wasn’t the easiest vintage, as 2007 was, but meticulous winemaking did the job, resulting in this amazingly rich, impressively ripe wine that’s drinkable now and will develop for many years. The fruits veer toward blackberries, cherries and cola, and the tannins are soft and refined. One hundred percent new French oak isn’t at all heavy, lending nuances of buttered toast and sweet wood tannins. Will easily age for 15 years." (02/2012)

2009 Quilceda Creek "Palengat Vineyard" Horse Heaven Hills Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2009 Quilceda Creek "Palengat Vineyard" Horse Heaven Hills Bordeaux Blend (97RP, 95WE, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Much more Cabernet Sauvignon-dominated, the 2009 Palengat (86% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Cabernet Franc and 6% Merlot) shows the warmer vintage with ripe red and black fruit, licorice, roasted meat and hints of singed herbs on the nose. Fantastically polished on the palate, with silky tannin, full-bodied richness and a layered mouthfeel, it is a knockout effort that will have 15-20 years of prime drinking. Drink now-2029. Of the 2010 Montrose, St-Estèphe,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "This is considered to be among the greatest vintages ever made in Montrose, right up with the 1929, 1945, 1947, 1959, 1961, 1989, 1990 and 2009. Harvest was October 15 to 17. The wine has really come on since I last tasted it, and it needs at least another 10 years of cellaring. The blend was 53% Cabernet Sauvignon, 37% Merlot, 9% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot. The wine is opaque black/blue, with an incredible nose of blueberry and blackberry liqueur, with hints of incense, licorice, and acacia flowers. Tannins are incredibly sweet and very present. 1999 Haut-Brion, Pessac-Léognan
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 1999 Haut-Brion, Pessac-Léognan (93RP, 92ST, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Deep plum, currant, and mineral notes emerge from the concentrated, beautifully balanced, pure 1999 Haut Brion. It seems to be cut from the same mold as years such as 1979 and 1985. There is a hint of graphite in the abundant fruit. The wine is medium to full-bodied, nuanced, subtle, deep, and provocatively elegant. It is made in a style that only Haut Brion appears capable of achieving. The finish is extremely long, the tannins sweet, and the overall impression one of delicacy interwoven with power and ripeness. Anticipated maturity: 2007-2025. (RP)" (04/2002)

Nice concentration of mature berry and spice fruit balanced by medium to firm, slightly chewy tannins and medium to high acidity. A more structured style of Opus. Very long finish. Drink now to 2020. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A blend of 63% Cabernet Sauvignon and 37% Merlot, it displays an inky/blue/purple color as well as a big, sweet nose of creme de cassis, forest floor, licorice, lead pencil, cedar and subtle barrique smells. Viscous and full-bodied, it is the most concentrated and broadest example of this cuvee I have tasted in over three decades. It will be ready to drink in 5-7 years and should last for three decades or more. Consumers looking to maximize value should be checking out Duhart Milon, as this may be the single smartest purchase in this great and historic vintage!" (02/2012)

2007 Harlan Estate Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this bottle of 2007 Harlan Estate Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (100RP, 97JS, 97ST, 96WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The prodigious 2007 Harlan Estate reminds me of a hypothetical blend of the 2002 with a touch of the controversial 1997. Dense plum/purple-colored with sweet aromas of barbecue smoke, blueberries, blackberries, cassis, licorice, hot rocks and subtle oak, it is a splendidly opulent, pure wine with a skyscraper-like texture as well as stunningly deep fruit that expands gracefully across the palate. The finish lasts nearly a full minute. Because of its overwhelming richness and sweet tannins, this brilliant wine seems to be approachable now, but I suspect further nuances and complexity will emerge after 4-5 years in the bottle. This wine will still be going strong at age 25-30. Like the offerings from its sister estate, Bond, these Harlan Estate offerings are uncompromisingly brilliant examples of Napa viticulture and winemaking at its finest. Kudos to proprietor

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2007 Thorevilos is monumental, and stands out as one of the most singular and greatest Napa red wines I have ever tasted. An expansive fragrance of subtle barbecue smoke intermixed with graphite, blueberries, espresso, white chocolate and a liqueur of rocks soars from the glass of this full-bodied, prodigious effort. It has the texture of a skyscraper yet never becomes heavy or overbearing. This offering, which can send chills up your spine, is a candidate for one of the finest wines ever made in Napa Valley. This is one of the most exciting young reds I have tasted in a long, long time. It shows intense aromas of berries, currants and minerals, with hints of mint. Full-bodied and packed with fruit and tannins, its long finish is refined and silky. A benchmark for the vintage. 1990 Margaux, Margaux (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum of 1990 Margaux, Margaux (1.5L) (100RP, 98ST, 98WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "I had this wine both in Seoul, Korea in February, and from my cellar in December, 2008, and it was remarkable how identical the wines smelled and tasted. It offers an extraordinary aromatic display of spring flowers, camphor, sweet red and black fruits, a hint of licorice, and no evidence of its 100% new oak cask aging. Round and generous with low acidity, but an opulent, full-bodied richness that is fresh with laser-like precision, this stunning wine is just beginning to reach its plateau of full maturity, where it should remain for another three decades. A sensational effort, it is one of the legendary wines made at Chateau Margaux. (RP)" (06/2009)

Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 1984 Chateau Montelena "Estate" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (92RP). The 1984 Cabernet Sauvignon exhibits the forward, jammy, cassis, and other black fruit character of the vintage, marvelously rich, full-bodied, concentrated flavors, high extract, gobs of glycerin, and moderate tannin in the finish. Bid on this magnum of 2011 Ridge "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) ((93-95RP), 93AG). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2011 Monte Bello (87% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc) emerges from the glass with tobacco, grilled herbs, smoke, incense and plums melding together in this soft, beautifully textured Monte Bello. The 2011 is a wine of exceptional textural finesse. The 100% new oak is totally integrated. In 2011, Ridge used a total of 18 of a possible 24 lots for the final blend. The presence of 88% Cabernet Sauvignon is the highest since the 1980s. I expect the 2011 to be a relatively early drinking Monte Bello, but time will be the judge. Anticipated maturity: 2018-2031. This is an immensely satisfying wine graced with striking inner sweetness and a vibrancy that will drink well for another 15+ years. The density of the fruit at ten years of age is remarkable. Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2004 Joseph Phelps "Insignia" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (97WE, 94CG, 94RP, 94WS, 93ST, 91W&S). Wine Enthusiast: "Tasted in October, 2007, the wine was mute, offering little aromatically except for teasing notes of blackberries and oak. That shyness extended to the taste, where strong, hard tannins provide an almost impenetrable coat of armor to what’s inside. But right down the middle of the palate is a deep, intensely powerful stream of perfectly ripened cassis that’s all the proof you need of ageability. This is a magnificently structured young wine, reminiscent of a fine young Pauillac. Best after 2012, and should have another decade after that, at least." (02/2008)

Wine Enthusiast: "This tastes of great Cabernet Sauvignon, with its black currant, cedar and herbs and fresh, juicy acidity. It is as fresh as it is rich, but it has a structure of dense tannins that balances the wine. This is one of the best wines from Gruaud-Larose for several years. " (06/2008)

2006 Herb Lamb "HL" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2006 Herb Lamb "HL" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Winemaker's Tasting Notes: "This vintage was all about letting the delicate fruit flavors express themselves over the oak and tannins. The 2006 HL Cabernet Sauvignon is a reflection of the uniqueness of the Herb Lamb Vineyards; it is basically a cool climate Howell Mountain foothills wine produced from rocky mountain soils with a north-east exposure giving true juicy, natural fruity character to these wines instead of emphasizing the heavy tannin extraction. The cooler weather gave us a little more heft and richness in this wine. Although rich with good structure and lots of layers and finesse, it’s more of a muscular vintage than an ultra luxurious one. In the nose, this wine opens with aromas of dark cocoa and dried tobacco, then shows the bright black and red fruits typical of the hillside vineyard. It is very juicy in the mouth, with lots of layers and dimensions, and tastes like a mouthful of cherries

Of the 2008 Herb Lamb "Two Old Dogs" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon,From the winemaker writes: "More than the previous vintages, this wine shows dense chocolate, cocoa powder in the nose, and is also plusher on the palate. It is sweet in the nose, like a Heath Bar or salt water taffy. It tastes like a big, juicy blueberry tart. This growing season on this vintage gave us some of the highest pHs of all the wines, which created a different style to this vintage than the others, but it has become a very nicely balanced wine."

2009 Lynch-Bages, Pauillac
Bid on this bottle of 2009 Lynch-Bages, Pauillac (98RP, 97JS, 96WE, 96WS, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Performing even better from bottle than it did from barrel, this appears to be the finest Lynch Bages since the 2000, 1990 and 1989. According to the chateau, the 2009 has the highest level of polyphenols ever measured as well as high alcohol (nearly 13.5%). A blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest largely Merlot with touches of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, it is an expressive, voluptuously textured effort with unctuosity and powerful, juicy, succulent blackberry and black currant flavors, low acids, a layered, massive mouthfeel, but no sense of heaviness or fatigue. This exquisite Lynch Bages should drink well for 30+ years." (02/2012)

1996 Dominus Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1996 Dominus Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (95RP, 94JS, 93ST, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1996 Dominus, a blend of 82% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc, 4% Merlot, and 4% Petit Verdot, tips the scales at 14.2% alcohol. Although this offering lacks the power, intensity, and compelling characteristics of the 1991 and 1994, it is not far off the pace of those two monumental wines. A super nose of roasted coffee, chocolate, dried herbs, black fruits and kirsch is both intense and persuasive. The wine displays terrific richness, medium to full body, low acidity, a succulent, opulent texture, and superb purity. This beautifully made 1996 is one of the few wines that has successfully tamed the vintage's elevated tannin level. It should be relatively drinkable upon its release, yet evolve nicely for two decades. Impressive! (RP)" (12/1998)

2006 Corley Family "State Lane Vineyard" Yountville Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2006 Corley Family "State Lane Vineyard" Yountville Cabernet Sauvignon. From winemaker Chris Corley: "This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon comes from our vineyard on State Lane in Yountville. This site is planted with Clone #337 which yields tiny berries of intensely concentrated fruit and firm tannins. We’ve enjoyed using this wine over the years as both a foundation for blending and a vineyard designate offering. This is a big chewy wine, not for the faint of palate. A very dark, brooding wine with hints of Indian spices on the nose accented with creamy vanillin oak and mocha tones. The mouth-feel is rich and chewy with lots of spicy berry flavors, deep dark berry fruit and milk chocolate, coffee and cocoa flavors on the finish. This wine should be decanted for an hour prior to maximum pleasure."

1989 Pichon-Baron, Pauillac

Full-bodied, with big, velvety tannins that are soft and caressing, like cashmere. This is so tight and powerful still; it seems to be holding back. Be patient, because it will open with another five or six years of bottle age. Hard to wait. So why do it? (2009)"

2004 Falesco "Marciliano" Cabernet Umbria (1.5)
Bid on this magnum of 2004 Falesco "Marciliano" Cabernet Umbria (1.5). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2004 Marciliano (70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Cabernet Franc) is made in a similarly powerful, structured style as the Montiano. Unfortunately it doesn't have that wine's core of fruit and I don't see it ever becoming an especially generous wine. The Cabernet Franc character is also surprisingly absent in this wine. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2016. (AG)" (02/2008)

2007 Quilceda Creek "Palengat Vineyard" Horse Heaven Hills Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2007 Quilceda Creek "Palengat Vineyard" Horse Heaven Hills Cabernet Sauvignon (96RP, 93ST, 92WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2007 Palengat Proprietary Red Wine is made up of 74% Cabernet Sauvignon, 16% Cabernet Franc, with the balance Merlot and Petit Verdot. Deep purple in color, it delivers a captivating nose of olives, herbs, Asian spices, blackberry, and plum. Medium to full-bodied and elegant on the palate, it has outstanding volume and concentration, an opulent texture, and a suave personality. Already complex, it will continue to evolve with another 5-7 years of cellaring. Drink it from 2015 to 2027. Quilceda Creek remains Washington's benchmark for world-class Cabernet Sauvignon. The Golitzins were ecstatic about the fruit quality in 2007, a near-perfect vintage from their perspective." (08/2010)

1990 Lafite-Rothschild, Pauillac
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1990 Lafite-Rothschild, Pauillac (96RP, 95WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Interestingly, a bottle of 1990 Lafite Rothschild I pulled from my cellar for a video blog on my web site was still buttoned down, tight, and even with extended decanting was not showing as much as I would have hoped. However, a bottle tasted, of all places, in Seoul, Korea in February, was only a few points short of perfection. That amazing performance motivated me to pull another bottle out of my cellar and follow it over the course of two days. Sure enough, by the second day the wine was roaring from the glass. The 1990 Lafite has turned out far better than my early assessment. While it still possesses some firmness, and performs like a late adolescent in terms of its evolution, it boasts gorgeous aromas of cedar, tobacco leaf, cassis, and lead pencil shavings. The explosive aromas are followed by a fleshy, full-bodied wine that should hit its peak in 5-8 years, and last for 25
