Of the 2013 Quilceda Creek "Galitzine Vineyard" Red Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: " ... Revealing a healthy ruby/purple color and classic notes of sage brush, graphite, black cherries, currants and chocolate, it hits the palate with full-bodied richness; building, present, yet ripe and polished tannin; perfect integration of its fruit, alcohol and oak; and awesome length. 2010 Justin "Isosceles Reserve" Paso Robles Bordeaux Blend (OWC)
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 2010 Justin "Isosceles Reserve" Paso Robles Bordeaux Blend (OWC - 94RP, 94WE, 91WS) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The star of the show, the 2010 Isosceles Reserve (90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Malbec, 3% Cabernet Franc and 2% Merlot aged 21 months in 100% new French oak) is a deep, rich and muscular effort that still has some oak and tannin to integrate. Graphite, smoked dark fruits, exotic spice and sweet oak all emerge from this brilliant effort, and it hits the palate with a full-bodied, concentrated profile that carries layers of sweet tannin, solid mid-palate depth and a great finish. The tannin quality here is exceptional, and while it has no shortage of fruit, it retains a sense of elegance and balance. Give it 2-3 years in the cellar and drink it through 2025. (JD)" (10/2014)

2012 Bevan Cellars "Ontogeny" Oakville Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Bevan Cellars "Ontogeny" Oakville Bordeaux Blend (99RP, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The nearly perfect 2012 Proprietary Red Ontogeny is Bevan’s least expensive and biggest production cuvée (700 cases). A blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Petit Verdot and 10% Cabernet Franc, it comes from four of Russell Bevan’s favorite vineyard sources -- Tench, Tin Box, Two Dogs and Sugarloaf Mountain. A big fruit bomb, it boasts a dense purple color as well as loads of crème de cassis, tobacco leaf, underbrush, graphite, lavender, roasted meats and blackberries. This is one of the most exciting young reds I have tasted in a long, long time. It shows intense aromas of berries, currants and minerals, with hints of mint. Full-bodied and packed with fruit and tannins, its long finish is refined and silky. A benchmark for the vintage. Las Cases has always wanted to make first-growth quality in a top-notch vintage, and it certainly did in 2000. (JS)" (03/2003)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "I loved the 2014 Widowmaker, which is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon brought up in puncheon. It’s always a full-bodied, opaque, structured wine and it’s no exception in this vintage. Notes of crème de cassis, graphite and lead pencil all emerge from this pure, tannic, layered beauty that will need 4-5 years of cellaring. (JD)" (06/2016)

2002 d'Armailhac, Pauillac
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2002 d'Armailhac, Pauillac. 90 points Neal Martin's Wine Journal: "Tasted blind at Farr's 2002 Bordeaux tasting. Reticent on the nose: tar, iodine, underbrush at first, but it's leading you down the wrong path because some plush blueberry and damson fruits begin to emerge with aeration. Ripe, full-bodied palate that is plush in style but with good clarity and poise, a sense of purite that is very attractive, leading to a focused finish. Excellent." (01/2010)

Of the 1999 Clerc-Milon, Pauillac,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "This 1999 is a blend of 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 27% Merlot, and 18% Cabernet Franc. The saturated purple-colored 1999 displays a dense, flamboyant bouquet of roasted herbs, cedar, cassis, new saddle leather, and espresso. A dark ruby/purple color is followed by aromas of graphite, spring flowers, blueberries, and blackberries, an enticing, multilayered texture, full-bodied power, and superb elegance, purity, and texture. This sensational mountain-styled Cabernet Sauvignon was made with excellent precision as well as freshness. It should drink beautifully for twenty years or more. Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2010 Caymus "Special Selection" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98RP, 96WS, 93VN, 92W&S). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Special Selection exhibits an opaque purple color, slightly more toasty oak in the aromatics, and explosive richness on the attack, mid-palate and length. The nose is slightly more restrained than in the regular bottling, but there is no doubting the Special Selection is a cut or two above the Napa bottling when it hits the palate. Extraordinary purity of fruit, creme de cassis, licorice and incense all emerge from this full-bodied, iconic classic. It can be enjoyed now and over the next 25+ years. (RP)" (10/2013)

2003 Harlan Estate Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this bottle of 2003 Harlan Estate Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (98RP, 98WE, 95ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of the most backward yet promising wines of the vintage is the 2003 Harlan Estate. Its dense opaque plum/purple color is accompanied by a sumptuous bouquet of graphite, camphor, creme de cassis, smoky barbecue wood and a hint of forest floor. Similar flavors hit the mouth with full-bodied splendor, a multidimensional mouthfeel and texture, and the sensational finish lasts more than 45 seconds. Some tannins are still present, and this wine seems much younger than expected at ten years of age, so give it 4-5 more years of bottle age and consume it over the following 20-25 years. 98+ (RP)" (06/2013)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1997 Opus One Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (95VN, 94WS). Vinous: "The 1997 Opus One tastes like it was made yesterday, not 16 years ago. One of the most opulent, racy wines in this vertical, the 1997 literally explodes from the glass. Juicy dark red cherries, menthol, tobacco and licorice all make an appearance as the 1997 opens up over time. Readers holding the 1997 are in for a thrill. Even though the growing season was defined by hot weather, a short maturation cycle and a large crop, the wine turned out beautifully. In 1997 the blend is 82% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Cabernet Franc, 5% Merlot, 4% Malbec and 1% Petit Verdot, a first for Opus One. (AG)" (06/2013)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Ovid Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (OWC - 97VN, (93-96ST), 94RP, 93WS) in original wood. Vinous: "The 2012 Ovid is a bit darker and inward than the Hexameter. Dark red cherry, mocha, spice, new leather, mint and cloves are all laced together in a wine that captures the relaxed, easygoing style of the year. Sumptuous, expressive and wonderfully resonant in the glass, the 2012 has it all. This is a stunning effort from the team at Ovid. A great example of the vintage at its very, very best. This is a remarkable set of wines from Ovid. The 2012s have grown in bottle considerably since I last tasted them about a year ago. Winemaker Austin Peterson describes 2012 as a more relaxed and leisurely growing season than either 2013 and 2014, both of which were early. Ovid is always among the last estates to blend, so I tasted the 2014s in separate lots from barrel, including most of the core lots that are the backbones for the flagship wines. Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1986 Talbot, St-Julien (96RP, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A fabulous wine, and one of the two greatest Talbots of the last 50 years, this wine still has a very murky garnet/plum/purple color and a spectacular nose of sweet creme de cassis intermixed with freshly ground pepper, melted road tar, herbes de Provence, and beef blood. It is followed by an enormously concentrated wine of full body, layers of concentration and sweet tannin. The wine seems to be just hitting its plateau of maturity, where it should last for at least 10-15 more years. A prodigious Talbot. Anticipated maturity: Now-2020. (RP)" (01/2003)

According to the chateau, the 2009 has the highest level of polyphenols ever measured as well as high alcohol (nearly 13.5%). A blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest largely Merlot with touches of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, it is an expressive, voluptuously textured effort with unctuosity and powerful, juicy, succulent blackberry and black currant flavors, low acids, a layered, massive mouthfeel, but no sense of heaviness or fatigue. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Composed of 96% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Merlot, and 1% Cabernet Franc, the 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate (nearly 4,000 cases produced) is a great buy for a world-class Napa Cabernet Sauvignon. It exhibits a dense purple color, notes of charcoal, creme de cassis, graphite, and forest floor, and a ripe, opulently fruity, rich, full-bodied style. Its endearing silkiness, multi-dimensions, and mature, sweet tannins suggest it has two decades of life ahead of it. There's a long finish with a bitter aftertaste, suggesting this could do with another 10 years or more of bottle aging. Bid on this bottle of 2013 Carter "Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP, 94VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard, which comes from St. Helena, has that blueberry, gravelly, wet-pebble note that I often associate with great vintages of La Mission Haut-Brion. The wine has an inky purple color, gorgeous black raspberry, blueberry liqueur notes, licorice and earth. Full-bodied and opulent with silky tannins, this is a tour de force in winemaking and pure perfection. This is absolutely riveting, prodigious wine that has to be tasted to be believed. Drink it over the next 25 years. (RP)" (12/2015)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2008 Checkerboard Napa Valley Red Blend (OWC - (91-93RP)) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon also performed better this year than last. It offers a deep ruby/purple color along with notes of chocolate, black currants, smoke and scorched earth. Deep, elegant and medium to full-bodied, the 2008 is not quite as flamboyant and textured as the 2007, but it is beautifully made, pure and impressive. (RP)" (12/2010)

2013 Bryant Family "DB4" Napa Valley Red Blend
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2013 Bryant Family "DB4" Napa Valley Red Blend (93VN, 90RP). Vinous: "Bryant's DB4 is one of Napa Valley's hidden gems. Round, sweet and expressive - especially for the year - the 2013 exudes richness and intensity, with no excess weight and fabulous overall balance. The 2013 benefits from a high presence of Cabernet Franc that in most years makes the cut for the Bettina. Raspberry jam, mocha, rose petals and mint add the closing shades of nuance. Savvy readers should take note; DB4 is one of the finest wines in Napa Valley in its price range, or any price range for that matter. (AG)" (10/2015)

2012 Scarecrow "M. Étain" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC)
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Scarecrow "M. Étain" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (OWC - 94RP, 92VN) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon M. Etain is in essence a second wine, but it sure doesn’t taste like one. Its deep purple color is followed by pure black raspberry and blackcurrant fruit, dusty, loamy soil notes, extraordinary depth of fruit, ripeness and good acidity. This opulent, round beauty is ideal for drinking over the next decade or more. One of the classic wines of Napa Valley, Scarecrow’s Cabernet Sauvignons are made by well-known winemaking consultant Celia Welch. This historic vineyard in Rutherford, which owns some of the oldest vines in all of Napa, continues to turn out some of Napa’s most profound Cabernet Sauvignons. (RP)" (10/2014)

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2011 Justin "Isosceles Reserve" Paso Robles Bordeaux Blend (OWC - 90RP) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Coming from a cool vintage, the 2011 Isosceles Reserve is still a big, rich Paso Cabernet that reveals ample blackcurrants, black raspberry, leather and savory spice on the nose. Nicely concentrated on the palate, yet relatively focused and straight, with moderate breadth and a touch of chewy tannin, give it year or two and plan on drinking bottles by 2025. (JD)" (08/2015)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A big time sleeper of the vintage and a terrific success for Fieuzal, the 2008 is a wine to buy given its realistic price. Dense plum/purple-colored with a soaring bouquet of blue and black fruits, unsmoked cigar tobacco, lead pencil shavings and spring flowers, it is a suave, savory, medium to full-bodied, remarkably silky, appealing wine to enjoy over the next 12-15 years. 2014 Schrader "Beckstoffer To Kalon, T6" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2014 Schrader "Beckstoffer To Kalon, T6" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon T6 was one of my super-favorites of the 2014s. Slightly higher in alcohol at 14.7%, compared to the RBS at 14.4% and the GIII at 14.3%, it is a kick-ass Cabernet Sauvignon, with a sexy display of black fruits, licorice, camphor, graphite and background oak. This is from clone 6 of the To Kalon Vineyard aged in 95% new Darnajou and 5% Taransaud barrels. So, as readers can see, the differences are minor, indeed. However, they are slightly different wines. This is a bold, opulent wine and one of my favorites of the 2014s. Drink it over the next 20 years. (RP)" (10/2016)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1997 Joseph Phelps "Insignia" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (100RP, 97WS, 95WE, 94ST, 93W&S). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "An inky/plum/purple color is accompanied by a stunning bouquet of violets, charcoal, creme de cassis and a hint of toast. Prodigious when it hits the palate with a full-bodied expansiveness, there is not a hard edge to be found in the 1997, only velvety tannins, compelling depth and fruit intensity, and stunning purity. It is a perfect expression of Napa viticulture and wine that should continue to age effortlessly for two decades or more. (RP)" (11/2013)

2012 Harlan Estate Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (OWC)
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2012 Harlan Estate Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (OWC - 99RP, 98JS, (95-97ST), 97VN, 93WS) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Harlan Estate is reminiscent of their 2002. Probably a candidate for perfection with another 4-5 years of bottle age, the wine is inky plum/purple to the rim and offers a gorgeous nose of scorched earth, blackberry and cassis, forest floor, and a floral, lavender-like component followed by deep, opulent, majestic flavors that caress the palate with high but sweet tannin. This is relatively evolved, and supple and voluptuous for a young Harlan estate -- hence the comparison with their compelling 2002. This wine can be drunk in several years and is likely another candidate for 30-50 years of cellaring. 99+ points. (RP)" (10/2015)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A sleeper of the vintage, the 2008 Pichon Longueville Baron is one of the densest, most concentrated wines of Pauillac in 2008. An inky/purple color is followed by aromas and flavors of creme de cassis, blackberries, charcoal, coffee and licorice. Exceptionally full-bodied with velvety tannins and undeniable appeal, this gorgeous, well-proportioned, larger than life 2008 should age effortlessly for two decades or more. (RP)" (05/2011)

Ripe black fruits dominate, lending fullness to the firm structure in the backdrop. It’s a wine with great potential, density and weight. 2004 Hundred Acre "Kayli Morgan" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2004 Hundred Acre "Kayli Morgan" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (98RP, 94ST, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The wild man of Napa Valley, Jayson Woodbridge, has turned out one of the superstars of 2004, with the 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon Kayli Morgan. His wines always tend to be gorgeous young, offering up an impression that they’re not going to last. But his first vintage, 2000, seems to get better and better, even though it was spectacular when released. The 2004, which was harvested in September, shows an almost Pomerol-like sweet mocha, kirsch, black currant and deeply fruited mouthfeel. It is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, but the clay soils of his vineyard seem to give a sweetness of tannin and a voluptuous character to the texture ... (RP)" (04/2014)

This full-bodied classic boasts a dense purple color as well as a superb nose of graphite, creme de cassis, forest floor, licorice and a hint of truffles, low acidity, and extravagant richness. Most of the tannins have been resolved in this superstar of the vintage. It should continue to drink well for 10-15+ years. 95+ (RP)" (08/2014)

Bid on this 12-bottle lot of 2008 Saint-Pierre, St-Julien (OWC - 93RP, 93WE, 91ST) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "As I predicted from barrel, this stunning effort is a wine to buy by the case. Its opaque ruby/purple color is followed by aromas of graphite, barbecue smoke, blackberries and black currants. The full-bodied, textured 2008 Saint-Pierre reveals a skyscraper-like mouthfeel along with tremendous viscosity and unctuosity. One of the richest and potentially longest-lived 2008s, it is a fabulous sleeper of the vintage. Drink it over the next 20+ years. (RP)" (05/2011)

2003 Schrader "Beckstoffer To Kalon RBS" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2003 Schrader "Beckstoffer To Kalon RBS" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (97RP, 92WS, 90ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The closest to full maturity and farthest along in its evolution appears to be the 2003 Cabernet Sauvignon RBS Beckstoffer To- Kalon Vineyard. Notes of pen ink, creosote, tar, black currants and Christmas fruitcake jump from the glass of this dense ruby/purple-colored effort, which is showing less color saturation than its three siblings. Full-bodied and ripe with soft tannins, good freshness and liveliness, there is no reason to defer your gratification. It is an intense, mouthfilling, terrific, young Cabernet Sauvignon that should continue to drink well for 10-15 years. (RP)" (06/2013)

1997 Joseph Phelps "Backus" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1997 Joseph Phelps "Backus" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (93RP, 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "From a hillside overlooking the Oakville District, Phelps produces small quantities of their single vineyard Backus Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon, which is aged in 100% new French Taransaud oak. The sensational 1997 Cabernet Sauvignon Backus Vineyard is a muscular, highly-extracted, full-bodied effort that requires 3-4 years of cellaring. Although not very approachable, it displays great fruit intensity in its huge, thick, viscous flavors redolent with black currants, new saddle leather, spice box, and toasty oak. Long, powerful, and intense, it exhibits both sweet tannin and immense concentration. Anticipated maturity: 2004-2025. (RP)" (12/2000)
