2008 Sine Qua Non "Jinete Bajo Vin de Paille" Roussanne (375ml) (OWC)
Bid on this 3-half-bottle lot of 2008 Sine Qua Non "Jinete Bajo Vin de Paille" Roussanne (375ml) (OWC - 96RP, 95ST) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The days of the Mr. K wines are gone forever with the tragically premature death of Austrian Alois Kracher, who had partnered with Manfred Krankl in this intriguing homage to sweet nectars. Krankl continues on his own, and in Spring, 2011, he will release the 2008 Jinete Bajo Roussanne Vin de Paille, which is named after his wife's favorite horse. Made from 100% estate fruit, with a finished alcohol level of 11.8%, a whopping 240 grams per liter of residual sugar, and 8.7 grams of acidity, this is a pure nectar of honeyed marmalade, waxy, syrupy honeysuckle, exotic creme brulee, and citrus. The remarkable acidity cuts through the extraordinary sweetness, so the impression is fresh and vibrant. Krankl has pulled off a marvelous balancing act with this cuvee. How long will it last? I have no idea - maybe 50-100 years, but gi

2006 Sine Qua Non "Mr. K" Half-Bottle Tasting Lot
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2006 Sine Qua Non "Mr. K" Half-Bottle Tasting Lot (OWC), including 2-bottles of 2006 Sine Qua Non "Mr. K Noble Man" Chardonnay (375ml) (95RP, 94ST) and 1-bottle of 2006 Sine Qua Non "Mr. K Straw Man" Marsanne Vine de Paille (375ml) (97RP, 95ST). Of the 2006 Sine Qua Non "Mr. K Straw Man" Marsanne Vine de Paille (375ml),Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The 2006 Mr. K The Strawman Marsanne Vin de Paille is 100% Marsanne from the Beckmen Vineyard that boasts 240 grams of residual sugar per liter. A medium gold-colored effort, it reveals more marmalade notes interwoven with notions of maple syrup, honeysuckle, and exotic tropical fruits. While untuously-textured with remarkable sweetness, it is not cloying because of the fresh acids. I have no idea how long these wines will last, but they will undoubtedly keep for many years. 1946 Bodegas Toro Albala "Don Px Convento Seleccion" Pedro Ximenez Jerez (OWC)
Bid on this bottle of 1946 Bodegas Toro Albala "Don Px Convento Seleccion" Pedro Ximenez Jerez (OWC - 100RP) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1946 Don PX Convento Seleccion produced with Pedro Ximenez grapes dehydrated under the sun at the time of the Second World War, was only bottled in September 2011. This is an extreme wine, my first descriptor was ultra-mega-super concentrated. It is unbelievably powerful, both in the nose and the palate, full of umami, with sweet cinnamon, Christmas cake, camphor, petrol, lemongrass, Belgian chocolate and butter. Incredibly complex and rich, sweet, balanced and smooth in the palate, it is both very sweet and somehow salty, and with time it develops a black olive note. It combines the texture of the 1962 and the elegance of the 1949. It is as decadent as it gets. 825 bottles were produced. This wine will survive all of us. These wines are kept for generations and offered in very small quantities, but it’s amazing that you can

1990 Graham's Malvedos Centenary Vintage Port
Bid on this bottle of 1990 Graham's Malvedos Centenary Vintage Port (96RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This is the sweetest, most fragrant, and most highly extracted of the three ports I tasted (Symington, Dow and Graham). Its flamboyant, up-front fat and decadence provide more initial appeal than the monstrous but restrained Dow. It also reveals extraordinary richness and a fabulous finish. These single Quinta ports are just as spectacular as any vintage port I tasted from 1983 or 1985." (08/1992)

1990 Dow Quinta Bomfim Port
Bid on this bottle of 1990 Dow Quinta Bomfim Port (96RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "I thought this was a staggering example of port. Dow's style tends to be more backward, but this opaque black/purple-colored wine reveals a huge, powerful, intense palate, with gobs of flesh and viscous fruit. There is considerable tannin in the finish. It is a massive port with no indication of excessive alcohol in the finish. A magnificent young, dry-styled vintage port that just goes on and on in the mouth, it should last for 20-30 years. The single Quinta ports are just as spectacular as any vintage port I tasted from 1983 or 1985. (RP) " (01/1993)

1977 Taylor Vintage Port
Bid on this bottle of 1977 Taylor Vintage Port (97WS, 96RP, 95WE). Wine Spectator: "Good ruby color still. The nose is fresh, with lots of crushed berry and plum, with a hint of piecrust. Full-bodied, with firm tannins and a caressing texture. This delivers loads of complex fruit and spiciness. Medium-sweet. A beauty. Will improve for decades, but why wait? (Web Only-2008)"

2007 Dow's Vintage Port
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2007 Dow's Vintage Port (100WS, 96WE, 94RP, 94W&S). Wine Spectator: "Amazing aromas of lilac, violet, crushed blueberry and mineral that turn to black pepper and spices follow through to a full-bodied, medium-sweet palate, with a long, chewy finish. Evolves to tar and asphalt. Really held back, yet powerful grip slaps you. This is mind-blowing in texture. The greatest Dow ever made. Best after 2022." (05/2010)
