1995 d'Yquem, Sauternes
Bid on this bottle of 1995 d'Yquem, Sauternes (95RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Served from an ex-chateau bottle. The 1995 Chateau d’Yquem is moving into its secondary aroma phase. A deep golden color, it has a dense and almost Barsac-like bouquet with tangerine, apricot, acacia and melted candle wax. It displays good intensity, unfolding beautifully in the glass. The palate has a strident opening, with a slight bitter edge that lends this Yquem great tension. One can discern layers of marmalade infused with honey fruit, with a powerful, spicy finish that lingers long in the mouth. This is drinking perfectly now, but will surely age with style over many years. Tasted March 2014. (NM)" (06/2014)

Bid on this 5L-bottle lot of 1983 Raymond Lafon, Sauternes (5L) (OWC - 93RP, 93WS) in original wood. Wine Spectator: "Extremely harmonious, so complex it keeps you going back for another sip in a vain attempt to pick out the fruit flavors. Medium gold, unabashedly lush and ripe, with complex sweet fruit, oak and tobacco. The finish echoes forever." (01/1988)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1988 reveals layer upon layer of honeyed pineapple-and orange-scented and -flavored fruit, vibrant acidity, high levels of botrytis, and a fabulously long, yet well-focused finish. It is a great wine. (RP)" (04/1995)

1989 Raymond Lafon, Sauternes
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1989 Raymond Lafon, Sauternes (91RP, 90ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1989 exhibits aromas of honeyed pineapple/tropical fruit and toasty new oak, as well as an exotic, flashy perfume that is not as pronounced in either the 1990 or 1988. The 1989 exhibits less botrytis than the other two vintages. The wine possesses an opulent, full-bodied, exotic, lavishly rich personality, moderate sweetness, and huge quantity of extract, glycerin, and alcohol in its finish. The wine is also extremely young and unevolved. Anticipated maturity: 2000-2025. (RP)" (01/1998)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1988 Rayne Vigneau, Sauternes (91RP, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "An intense, honeyed, pear, flower, and apricot fragrance is reminiscent of Muscat de Beaumes de Venise. In the mouth, there is exceptional richness, super focus because of fine acidity, a wonderful touch of toasty new oak, and an elegant, very positive, crisp finish. This is a beautifully made, authoritative tasting, and impeccably well-balanced Sauternes. (RP)" (12/1997)

2002 Suduiraut, Sauternes
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2002 Suduiraut, Sauternes (91RP, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Tasted from the Chateau reserves at the estate. Again, that barley sugar note comes through giving it a Barsac, harmonious with a little mandarin and some lemon curd. Still a little tight. The palate is balanced with ripe honeyed fruit, orange rind and a touch of Seville orange marmalade. Nice taut finish with good acidity, the mineralite compensating for a lack of depth. Very fine for the vintage. (NM)" (09/2011)

2001 d'Yquem, Sauternes
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2001 d'Yquem, Sauternes (100JS, 100RP, 100WS, 98ST). Wine Spectator: "*** Collectibles - Ranked #10 in Top 100 Wines of 2005 *** The greatest young Yquem I have ever tasted from bottle. Yellow, with a golden hue and an almost green tint. Intense aromas of botrytis, spices and blanched almonds follow through to honey, maple syrup, dried apricot and pineapple. Full-bodied, sweet, thick and powerful, with layers of fruit and a bright, lively finish. Coats the palate yet remains exciting. So balanced and refined, showing the pedigree that only this Sauternes estate can deliver. Best after 2012. (JS)" (11/2005)

Full-bodied, with loads of cream and vanilla and an intense tropical fruit and honey aftertaste. Long and viscous, with a layered and beautiful spicy finish. Hard not to drink it now. *#4 on Top 100 of 2008, Highly Recommended* (JS)" (03/2008)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1985 Gilette "Crème de Tête" Sauternes. The 1985 vintage of this Sauternes has only been in bottle since June 2003. 1992 Taylor Vintage Port
Bid on this bottle of 1992 Taylor Vintage Port (100RP, 96WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Taylor's 1992 Vintage Port is unquestionably the greatest young port I have ever tasted. It represents the essence of what vintage port can achieve. The color is an opaque black/purple, and the nose offers up fabulously intense aromas of minerals, cassis, blackberries, licorice, and spices, as well as extraordinary purity and penetration. Yet this is still an unformed and infantile wine. If Chateau Latour made a late-harvest Cabernet Sauvignon, I suspect it might smell like this. In the mouth, the wine is out of this world, displaying layer upon layer of concentrated black fruits backed by well-integrated tannin and structure. This is a massive, magnificently rich, full-bodied port that will be far more flattering in its youth than were such Taylors as the 1983, 1977, or 1970. It possesses awesome fruit, marvelous intensity, and lavish opulence, all brilliantly well-delineated by the wine's f

1962 d'Yquem, Sauternes
Bid on this bottle of 1962 d'Yquem, Sauternes (91RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Tasted at the Fine Wine Experience 1962 Bordeaux horizontal. Moderate Clear lucid gold with green tints. The nose is very elegant and well defined, touches of wet wool, honey, wood resin and barley sugar (a la Barsac). I wish it had more vigour and complexity, for it is rather overwhelmed by the Coutet and the Suduiraut. The palate is far better than the nose with a lovely creamy, harmonious texture with perfect acidity and balance. Citrus peel, fresh ginger, dried apricot, ginger and orange sorbet with noticeable residual sugar on the finish. This is probably an underrated Yquem given market prices, but the modest nose means I must temper my appraisal. (NM)" (11/2010)

Bid on this half-bottle lot of 2005 Domaine des Baumard Quarts de Chaume (375ml) (98WS, 95WE, 92RP, 92VN). Wine Spectator: "A jaw dropper, with orange blossom, persimmon, fig and quince flavors that remain remarkably bright and light thanks to riveting acidity and a superfine, minerally finish. Pure and perfectly balanced, this refuses to break down in the mouth. The best since the monster 1995. Drink now through 2032. *Highly Recommended* (JM)" (05/2007)

1967 Suduiraut, Sauternes
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1967 Suduiraut, Sauternes. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A classic vintage for Suduiraut, this rich, full-bodied, expansive, viscous, fully mature wine has a wonderful honeyed, almond, caramel-scented bouquet, rich, sweet, deep, succulent flavors, full body, and a muscular, aggressive finish. The 1967 is perhaps not a match for the 1959 or 1976, but it is certainly the best wine produced at this chateau between these two vintages. (RP)" (01/1998)

Bid on this bottle of 2005 Climens, Barsac (97RP, 95WS, 94CG, 94ST, 93W&S, 92WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Tasted blind at the 10-Year On Tasting in Sauternes. The 2005 Château Climens just soars from the glass with layers of clear honey, marmalade, nectarine and minerals all beautifully carved. The palate is medium-bodied with fresh, vibrant honeyed fruit that builds and builds in the mouth in tandem with a killer line of acidity. Even though it is a convincing, great Climens, you also have the impression that it is only just beginning to show what it is capable of. Bérénice Lurton and her team excelled in this vintage and it comes strongly recommended. (NM)" (06/2015)

1988 Rieussec, Sauternes
Bid on this bottle of 1988 Rieussec, Sauternes (95RP, 90ST, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Tasted in Sauternes with Charles Chevalier, the 1988 Rieussec is a vintage that Chevalier himself claimed to be his favorite. I can understand why. It has an unerringly youthful bouquet with vibrant citrus fruit, wild honey, mandarin and mineral scents, a bouquet that seems to have electricity flowing through it. The same can be said for the palate that is full of tension and vigor, almost clinical in terms of focus with alluring viscosity and wonderful length. This bowled me over with its charm and breeding. Hunt a bottle down and share with your best friends—this is a superlative Rieussec, one of the best produced. Tasted April 2016. (NM)" (01/2017)
