1999 Peter Michael "La Carrière" Sonoma County Chardonnay
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 1999 Peter Michael "La Carrière" Sonoma County Chardonnay (91RP, 90ST, 90WE, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1999 Chardonnay La Carriere emerges from estate vineyards planted at elevations of 1600-1800 feet, with a gradient of nearly 40. The 1999 La Carriere reveals roasted hazelnut/stony characteristics along with abundant spice, buttered pears, and guava-like fruit. Produced from extremely low yields of 1.7 tons of fruit per acre, it possesses a creamy texture, exotic fruit on the mid-palate, and a ripe, rich finish with fine underlying acidity. It is a brilliant Chardonnay...(RP)" (12/2000)

Extravagant aromas of currant, strawberry, dried flowers, pepper, minerals and spicy oak. Very concentrated and dense, with an almost salty impression of extract. 1999&2003 Jean-Louis Chave Hermitage Blanc Tasting Lot

Of the 2003 Jean-Louis Chave Hermitage Blanc,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "Another sensational white that made my eyes roll back in my head, the 2003 Hermitage Blanc is even more over the top and decadent than the '09. Possessing almost no acidity, it's a flamboyant, massively concentrated, decadent and heady effort that's overflowing with notions of honey, caramelized oranges, currants, licorice and buttered hazelnuts. Staying fresh and lively, it's a monumental Hermitage Blanc that will probably live forever on its sheer concentration. (JD)" (09/2015)

1999 Mommessin Clos de Tart Grand Cru (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum lot of 1999 Mommessin Clos de Tart Grand Cru (1.5L) (94ST, 93RP, 92BH). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Ruby-red. Vibrant, precise aromas of black fruits, violet, minerals and gun metal. A wine of great breadth and verve; still quite closed but already displays great energy in the middle palate. Flavors of raspberry and gunflint offer lovely restrained sweetness. Solidly structured but not hard; still, this wine firm acids and solid tannins call for a good 8 to 10 years of bottle aging. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Super-ripe cherries, plums, and candied raspberries are found in the mouth-watering aromas of the medium to dark ruby-colored 1999 Vosne-Romanee Les Suchots. This is an intensely sweet, blackberry, blueberry, cherry, and Asian spice-flavored wine. Medium-bodied and pure, it offers a lush, opulent character that drowns its present yet supple tannins. Typically, the 1999 exhibits distinctive aromas of smoky tropical fruit intermixed with peaches, apricots, and pears. 1999 Pride Mountain Sonoma County Cabernet Franc
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 1999 Pride Mountain Sonoma County Cabernet Franc (94RP, 90ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The terrific, extremely textured 1999 Cabernet Franc boasts a floral and black fruit-scented nose with an underlying mineral/earthiness. The wine is medium to full-bodied with an ethereal sense of lightness. The finish goes on and on. There is plenty of sweet tannin to go along with the copious fruit and extract. Pride Mountain does an amazing job with Cabernet Franc. They somehow achieve superb flavor and aromatic intensity without the weight one would expect from a wine so rich and full. Anticipated maturity: 2003-2018. (RP)" (06/2002)

Of the 2001 Rene Rostaing Cote Rotie ''La Landonne'',Wine Spectator writes: "This is a taut and minerally version, with lavender, iron and olive paste notes holding sway over racy cherry and cassis fruit. Floral notes weave through the finish, where a jolt of acidity takes over. Sinewy now, so let this flesh out in the cellar; it'll be a beauty. (JM)" (08/2004)

1999 Domaine Jean-Louis Chave Hermitage
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1999 Domaine Jean-Louis Chave Hermitage (97WE, 95ST, 95VN, 95WS, 94RP). Wine Enthusiast: "Jean-Louis, the son of Gérard Chave, is now in charge of the family business, as well as being president of the Hermitage wine producers. He is continuing the family tradition of making powerful statements of Syrah from Hermitage, combining massive structure and over-powering perfumes. This 1999 seems to have the best of the traditional world of tannic immensity and the modern world of beautiful, ripe fruit. A wine that will age for a very long time." (06/2002)

1999 Maison Leroy Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru "Fontenys"
Bid on this bottle of 1999 Maison Leroy Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru "Fontenys" (92RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Very taciturn on the nose at first, but gradually unfurls to offer aromas of fresh blueberries, violets and graphite. Very good definition. The palate is silky smooth in texture, inflections of tar, great weight and persistency but it clams up on the finish. I would give this more time – it has much to give. Drink 2012-2020. Tasted December 2008. (NM-Wine Journal)" (05/2008)

Dense, sweet and impressively concentrated; a real fruit bomb in the mouth. Primary black fruit flavors are complicated by tobacco, chocolate and exotic oak notes. Finishes very long and sweet, with lush, ripe tannins. As youthful as this is today, it's already quite sexy. (ST)" (09/2004)
