1999 Emmanuel Rouget Vosne Romanee Cros Parantoux
Bid on this bottle of 1999 Emmanuel Rouget Vosne Romanee Cros Parantoux (94BH, 92ST). Allen Meadows - Burghound: " (with thanks to Andy Goodman). A still relatively bright, spicy and fresh red berry fruit nose that displays only a trace of secondary influence is trimmed in just enough wood to notice and introduces very ripe yet beautifully elegant and detailed middle weight flavors that culminate in a highly persistent and mouth coating finish. This mineral-inflected beauty is very much still on the way up and should reward another 5 to 7 years of cellar time and as such I would advise patience. Consistent notes. Try from 2019+" (09/2014)

1999 Haut-Brion, Pessac-Léognan
Bid on this bottle of 1999 Haut-Brion, Pessac-Léognan (93RP, 92ST, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Deep plum, currant, and mineral notes emerge from the concentrated, beautifully balanced, pure 1999 Haut Brion. It seems to be cut from the same mold as years such as 1979 and 1985. There is a hint of graphite in the abundant fruit. The wine is medium to full-bodied, nuanced, subtle, deep, and provocatively elegant. It is made in a style that only Haut Brion appears capable of achieving. The finish is extremely long, the tannins sweet, and the overall impression one of delicacy interwoven with power and ripeness. Anticipated maturity: 2007-2025. (RP)" (04/2002)

1999 Antinori "Tignanello" Toscana
Bid on this 6-bottle lot of 1999 Antinori "Tignanello" Toscana (94RP, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The estate’s 1999 Tignanello is a wine in which the Sangiovese plays a leading role. Classic notes of tobacco, dried cherries, spices, leather and underbrush all emerge from this sweet, layered offering. This richly textured generous Tignanello has put on significant weight in bottle and shows remarkable overall balance. In 1999 Tignanello comes across as more complete than Solaia. Anticipated maturity: 2008-2017. (AG)" (01/2009)

1999 Domaine Frédéric Esmonin Clos-Vougeot Grand Cru
Bid on this bottle of 1999 Domaine Frédéric Esmonin Clos-Vougeot Grand Cru. Allen Meadows - Burghound: "More forward and easy going than most young Clos de Vougeot and not nearly so austere. The wine offers bright red and black fruit with pronounced earth and anise notes plus good pinot sap and crushed berry flavors. Straightforward but delicious." (04/2001)

1999 Domaine Leflaive Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1999 Domaine Leflaive Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru (93BH, 92ST, (89-91RP)). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "The powerful aromas of honeysuckle and roasted nuts are now nuanced with a hint of petrol and what were tight, structured flavors are now beginning to unfold and open yet the same stunning purity and intensity are still present as is the near perfect acid-fruit balance. This still delivers unusually strong minerality for Bienvenues as well as fine detail, outstanding complexity and persistence. For my tastes, this is just now beginning to drink well and it should continue to do so for another decade. Note however that those who prefer well-aged flavors will be best served to wait another 2 to 3 years. Consistent notes." (04/2013)

1999 Domaine Bonneau du Martray Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1999 Domaine Bonneau du Martray Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru (92BH, (91-92RP)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "While most of his neighbors were harvesting the maximum allowable yields of 63 h/h or more, Jean-Charles de la Moriniere harvested his Corton-Charlemagne at 47 h/h, yet he still complained that this was 20% over his objective. The 1999 Corton-Charlemagne reveals lovely aromatic depth of minerals and spices. Medium-bodied, rich, and precise, this is a defined, pure, detailed wine filled with lemons, nuts, and pears. It is harmonious, elegant, and complete." (02/2001)

1999 Palmer, Margaux (375ml)
Bid on this 3-half-bottle lot of 1999 Palmer, Margaux (375ml) (94RP, 92ST, 91JS, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Though I have tasted many vintages of Palmer in recent months, it has been some time since I tasted the 1999 Palmer. Now at 17 years of age, it has a really quite splendid bouquet that is so fresh and vital, pure brambly red fruit, sloes and iodine. It has certainly lost some of the headiness that it showed over its first 10 years, but it is still a Palmer that likes to party. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin. There is good depth here, clean and fresh with wonderful poise. This is a "correct" Palmer, self-aware that it was not born in a propitious vintage, therefore it might seem a little restrained, even conservative in character. That would ignore its precision and grace, the manner in which it gently builds to the finish. You can drink this now but I would be inclined to give it another 3-4 years. There are few better Left Bank 1999s than Palmer. (NM)"

Of the 1999 Domaine Carre-Courbin Pommard 1er Cru "Grands Epenots", Allen Meadows - Burghound writes: " *Outstanding* I was frankly shocked at the superb quality this wine delivers from such young vines. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1999 Nicolas Potel Volnay 1er Cru "Carelle Sous La Chapelle" ((89-92BH)). 89-92 Points Burghound: 'Quite different in scale from the Taillepieds in that this is more classically Volnay in character with elegant and intense red fruits plus soil and mineral inflected aromas. However, this too shows that same dusty aspect to the tannins and the same finely detailed flavors. Beautifully pure and wonderfully persistent. In short, gorgeous.' (Allen Meadows, Burghound.com)

1999 Domaine Alain Hudelot-Noellat Richebourg Grand Cru
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1999 Domaine Alain Hudelot-Noellat Richebourg Grand Cru (95RP, 93BH). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1999 Richebourg Grand Cru from Hudelot-Noëllat personifies the vineyard with some style. It has a stunning, pure, elegant and effortless nose that maybe expresses that essence of pinoté better than more than a dozen other Richebourg wines present at this tasting. Raspberry coulis, wild strawberry and cold stone soar from the glass with great focus. The palate is tensile, the red berry fruit laced with orange zest that lends vivacity and energy. To be banal, this is just a Richebourg so well crafted that you want to just drink it rather than intellectualize over its virtues. That's the sign of a great wine. (NM)" (11/2015)
