2014 Cayuse "Camaspelo" Walla Walla Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2014 Cayuse "Camaspelo" Walla Walla Valley Bordeaux Blend ((95-97RP)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Made from 79% Cabernet Sauvignon and 21% Merlot that’s aging in 30% new French oak puncheons, the 2014 Camaspelo offers lots of cherry pit, black and blue fruits, violets and spice characteristics in a full-bodied, silky, polished style. It shows a touch of graphite with time in the glass, has building tannin and will keep for two decades. Looking at these latest releases from Cayuse, the 2013s are surprisingly elegant and silky, with less overall concentration and depth than I expected after tasting them from barrel last year. They possess slightly lighter, translucent colors, moderate to good concentration and polished tannin. At times I was wishing for a touch more exuberance and texture. Nevertheless, these are silky, seamless, elegant wines that will be fun to follow over the coming decade or more. The 2014s also lean towards the more elegant, streamli

2012 Cayuse "Wallah Wallah Special #4" Columbia Valley Syrah (1.5L) (OWC)
Bid on this 1.5 liter 1-bottle lot of 2012 Cayuse "Wallah Wallah Special #4" Columbia Valley Syrah (1.5L) (OWC - 96RP, 95VN, 93WS) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Made by Christophe as a tribute to Cote Rotie and coming from a blend of estate vineyards, the 2012 Syrah Wallah Wallah #4 Special spent 22 months in older puncheons and neutral smaller barrels before being bottled only in Magnum, of which there’s only 2,500 to go around. Hitting 13.6% natural alcohol, its deep ruby, semi-opaque color is followed by fabulous notes of rose petals, incense, violets, leather and sweet raspberry. These flow seamlessly to a full-bodied, supple and elegant Syrah that has no hard edges, integrated acidity and thrilling purity of fruit. Showing more and more tannin with time in the glass, it needs to be forgotten for 4-5 years and will have an easy two decades or more of longevity. (JD)" (06/2015)

2005 Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2005 Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (100RP, 96WE, 94ST, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "From a hot vintage and incredible any way you look at it, the 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon has that laser-like focus of a cooler year, yet the voluptuousness and richness of a warmer year. Smoked black fruits, coffee, truffle and pen ink-like aromas and flavors all emerge from this massive, incredibly full-bodied effort and on the palate, it carries itself perfectly with a weightless, yet decadent texture, masses of polished tannin and blockbuster length. More classic and textbook than the 2007, it is every bit as good. (JD)" (06/2013)

2013 Cayuse "Wallah Wallah Special #5" Walla Walla Valley Syrah (1.5L)
Bid on this 1.5 liter 1-bottle lot of 2013 Cayuse "Wallah Wallah Special #5" Walla Walla Valley Syrah (1.5L) (96RP, 93VN, 93WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of the most complete, layered and elegant 2013s from Cayuse is the 2013 Syrah Walla Walla Special #5, which is made from two separate parcels that remind Christophe of the northern Rhone’s Jamet brother’s Cote Rotie. He also keeps the price low as a thank you to his customers. Giving up classic cool climate notes of green olives, black cherries, scorched earth, ash and ripe herbs, this beauty hits the palate with full-bodied richness, no hard edges, incredibly fine tannin and a finish that just keeps going. I thoroughly enjoyed drinking it today, but it will be better with 4-5 years of cellaring and have two decades or more of overall longevity. (JD)" (06/2016)

2009 Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2009 Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (99RP, 98WE, 96WS, 95ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon (98% Cabernet Sauvignon and 2% Merlot) is a ripe, flamboyant and brilliantly proportioned effort that oozes kirsch, licorice, lead pencil shavings and dried spice on the nose. Showing the perfume and headiness of the vintage, it nevertheless stays vibrant and lively on the palate while delivering layers of fruit and texture. While formidably structured and tannic, it can be enjoyed now due to the overall tannin quality and purity of fruit. It will evolve and drink well for over two decades. (JD)" (06/2013)

2014 Cayuse "The Widowmaker" Walla Walla Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2014 Cayuse "The Widowmaker" Walla Walla Valley Cabernet Sauvignon ((96-98RP)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "I loved the 2014 Widowmaker, which is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon brought up in puncheon. It’s always a full-bodied, opaque, structured wine and it’s no exception in this vintage. Notes of crème de cassis, graphite and lead pencil all emerge from this pure, tannic, layered beauty that will need 4-5 years of cellaring. (JD)" (06/2016)

Of the 2011 Cayuse "Armada Vineyard" Walla Walla Valley Syrah,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "Even better, the 2011 Syrah Armada is probably my favorite of the 2011s. Deep, rich and layered, with phenomenal black plum, damp earth, pepper, mushroom, charcuterie and spice-driven aromas and flavors, this beauty tastes like the essence of this unique terroir. Full-bodied, rich and layered, it too should flesh out beautifully with short-term cellaring and have upwards of two decades of longevity. (JD)" (06/2014)

2008 Baer Winery "Ursa" Columbia Valley Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2008 Baer Winery "Ursa" Columbia Valley Bordeaux Blend (95WS, 91ST). Wine Spectator: "*** Highly Recommended ***This has great presence, offering a dense cloud of blackberry, cherry and spice flavors that hover, almost weightless, over a sleek frame of fine tannins, with just enough acidity to keep it fresh. The finish sails on beautifully. Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec and Petit Verdot. Best from 2012 through 2020. 1,095 cases made. (HS)" (08/2011)

2012 Quilceda Creek "Palengat Vineyard" Horse Heaven Hills Bordeaux Blend
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Quilceda Creek "Palengat Vineyard" Horse Heaven Hills Bordeaux Blend (94RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A single-vineyard blend of 59% Merlot, 29% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Cabernet Franc and 5% Petit Verdot, the 2012 Palengat Vineyard offers a deep, decadent style to go with classic blackberry liqueur, blueberry, graphite, toasted spices and licorice. A big, beefy, layered and full-bodied effort, it has building tannin, a supple mid-palate and terrific length. It should evolve nicely for 2-4 years and hold for a decade or more after that. This is another serious lineup by Paul and Alex Golitzin and I was able to taste their 2012s multiple times, once at my office in Colorado where I was able to follow the wines for multiple days, and then during a visit at the estate just north of Snohomish. In both cases they showed beautifully, with the ripe, exuberant style that's common in the vintage. When speaking about the '12s, Paul told me that it was an "ea

Of the 2014 Cayuse "En Chamberlin" Walla Walla Valley Syrah,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "Always the most exotic in the lineup, the meaty, iron, black olive and floral-scented 2014 Syrah en Chamberlin Vineyard has a big core of ripe tannin and sweet fruit in its full-bodied, exuberant style. Given the polish to its tannin, it should drink nicely in its youth, but I suspect it will be at its best from 2020-2034. (JD)" (06/2016)

2013 Cayuse "God Only Knows" Walla Walla Valley Grenache
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2013 Cayuse "God Only Knows" Walla Walla Valley Grenache (94RP, 93VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Grenache seemed to handle the heat nicely in 2013 and the 2013 Grenache God Only Knows Armada Vineyard offers a gorgeous, rich, almost masculine style (especially when it’s tasted next to the No Girls Grenache) in its dark fruits, crushed herbs, mineral and leather scented profile. Even showing a touch of game with time in the glass, this beauty has fine tannin, plenty of fruit and a great finish, all suggesting it will drink nicely for another decade. Looking at these latest releases from Cayuse, the 2013s are surprisingly elegant and silky, with less overall concentration and depth than I expected after tasting them from barrel last year.
