2004 Bruno Giacosa "Vigna Croera" Barolo
Bid on this bottle of 2004 Bruno Giacosa "Vigna Croera" Barolo (90ST, 90VN, 90WS). Wine Spectator: "Aromas of plum, coffee and dried flowers follow through to a medium body, with silky tannins and a soft, refined finish. A delicate young Barolo. This is a new single-vineyard wine from Giacosa. (JS)" (06/2008)

2005 Domenico Clerico "Pajana" Barolo
Bid on this bottle of 2005 Domenico Clerico "Pajana" Barolo (95RP, 95WS, 91ST). Wine Spectator: "Delivers ripe fruit, with lots of raisin and red licorice character on the nose and palate. Full-bodied, offering chewy yet polished tannins and a vanilla, blackberry and cherry aftertaste, with coffee and toasty oak. A blockbuster wine. Best after 2014." (07/2009)

2003 Gaja "Sori San Lorenzo" Langhe
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2003 Gaja "Sori San Lorenzo" Langhe (95RP, 93ST, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A slightly deeper hue than the Costa Russi, this has more intensity on the nose with macerated black cherries, a touch of leather, sloes, dark honey and dried orange peel. Complex and cerebral. The palate is medium-bodied, again with very fine tannins, symmetrical with superb poise and harmony. Grippy finish with layers of pure black cherries, raspberry liqueur and a touch of creme de menthe. Wonderful length and precision. My personal favourite of Gaja’s Barbarescos. Drink 2015-2025. 2003 Gaja "Sori Tildin" Langhe
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2003 Gaja "Sori Tildin" Langhe (94RP, 93WS, 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Even in the super-hot 2003 vintage, Gaja’s Sori Tildin displays its pedigree, with its dark ruby color, finely nuanced, detailed aromatics and layers of ripe red fruit that gradually reveal themselves as this exquisite wine sits in the glass. Offering extraordinary depth of expression as well length on the palate along with great overall balance, it is another remarkable wine from Angelo Gaja. As is usually the case, I also find it to be the most classic of the single-vineyard wines. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2025. (AG) 94+" (10/2006)

1995 Bartolo Mascarello Barolo
Bid on this bottle of 1995 Bartolo Mascarello Barolo (96VN, 90ST). Vinous: "Another very pleasant surprise, the 1995 Barolo is absolutely singing. Dark tonalities of fruit and firm yet well-integrated tannins are some of the signatures. The 1995s have always been a bit burly, but the best wines from this vintage are now entering the sweet spot. That certainly applies to the 1995, which may be the best and most complete vintage of the 1990s to drink today. The 1995 is also the first vintage to be bottled with just two years in oak, as opposed to the three years that was previously the norm. (AG)" (11/2016)

2001 Giacomo Conterno "Cascina Francia" Barolo
Bid on this bottle of 2001 Giacomo Conterno "Cascina Francia" Barolo (94RP, (91-93ST), 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2001 Barolo Cascina Francia has entered a period of extreme stubbornness, which has been my experience the several times I have tasted the wine recently. The sweet, candied notes that were once present in the bouquet have developed into a much more classic melange of roses, tar, licorice and red berries. The 2001 boasts tremendous structure, while some of the overt raciness that was present when the wine was young has dissipated. One of the bottles I tasted, from my cellar, only began to show some expressiveness after it had been opened for two days! The 2001 Cascina Francia is neither young nor mature, rather it is in an adolescent stage where the best option is to leave the bottles alone for at least a few more years. (AG)" (04/2012)

1996 Comm. G.B. Burlotto Barolo "Monvigliero"
Bid on this bottle of 1996 Comm. G.B. Burlotto Barolo "Monvigliero" (96VN). Vinous: "Burlotto's 1996 Barolo Monvigliero presents a decidedly dark profile of fruit because of the cold growing season. At twenty years of age, the 1996 remains young, powerful and full of life. Time in bottle has helped the elements meld together nicely. Even so, the 1996 remains virile and imposing in style. With a little bit of air, the 1996 can be enjoyed now, but it has plenty of life ahead. Hints of orange peel, tobacco and spice add to the deeply expressive, exotic finish. Readers who own it should be thrilled. In 1996, the Monvigliero is an exotic, beguiling Barolo that emphasizes power over finesse. Part of that is the personality of the year, but the wines have also improved markedly over the last two decades. (AG)" (10/2017)

1999 Comm. G.B. Burlotto Barolo "Monvigliero"
Bid on this bottle of 1999 Comm. G.B. Burlotto Barolo "Monvigliero" . Monica Larner writes: "Steeped in history and tradition, this is one of the most enjoyable wineries to visit in the township of Verduno. A cellar tour takes you through the brick-vaulted cellars, the frescoed chapel (now a tasting room), a gallery of historic black-and-white photographs (their wines were sent to the North Pole in a 1899 expedition) and you can admire the painted facade of the main building that proudly displays the colorful images of past wine awards and medals. 2010 Luciano Sandrone "Le Vigne" Barolo
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Luciano Sandrone "Le Vigne" Barolo (100VN, 97WE, 96JS, 96RP, 94ST, 94W&S, 94WS). Vinous: "Sandrone's 2010 Barolo Le Vigne is one of the wines of the vintage, hands down. Rich, layered and utterly impeccable, the Le Vigne boasts stunning depth and richness. This is the second year in which Le Vigne includes fruit from Baudana which gives the wine a sense of volume and pure breadth it has never had before. Dried rose petal, tar, mint, wild flowers and cinnamon flow through to the multi-dimensional finish. The 2010 is a blend of fruit from Vignane and Merli, two historic sites for Le Vigne, while Cerretta and Conterni have been replaced by Baudana, a site in Serralunga that confers a level of depth, darkness and masculinity that has not been present in the past ... Bid on this bottle of 1996 Paolo Scavino "Bric dël Fiasc" Barolo (95RP, 93ST, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Scavino’s 1996 Bric del Fiasc, tasted from magnum, is one of the truly great versions of this wine. It offers captivating notes of tar, licorice and menthol along with a tightly wound core of vibrant dark fruit on a structured, deeply expressive frame of notable length. Though starting to show some tertiary nuances, this Barolo will be even better in a few years. 2004 Bruno Giacosa "Falletto di Serralunga d'Alba" Barolo
Bid on this bottle of 2004 Bruno Giacosa "Falletto di Serralunga d'Alba" Barolo (97VN, 96RP, 94ST, 92JS, 92WS). Vinous: "Giacosa's 2004 Barolo Falletto is a rock star. The truth is that, if tasted alone, the white label Falletto could easily be mistaken for the Red Label Riserva. It is every bit that compelling. Intensely perfumed yet also towering in stature, the 2004 is simply magnificent. The main difference between the white label and red label is finesse in the tannin, which is a bit less polished here. But that is only because there is a comparison. Taken on its own, the Falletto is one of the very finest wines of the vintage. Elegance meets power. With a little advance aeration, the 2004 can be enjoyed young, but it is frankly best left alone for another few years, especially for readers who only own a few bottles. This is yet another 2004 that has really blossomed in bottle. (AG)" (05/2015)
