Bid on this magnum of 2001 Lafite-Rothschild, Pauillac (1.5L) (96WS, 94RP, 93ST, 93W&S). Wine Spectator: " *Ranked #7 in Top 100 of 2004* Stick your nose in this and it says something: "I am special." Deep and generous aromas of blackberries, fresh tobacco and minerals. It's full-bodied, with big velvety tannins and a superlong finish. Like a fine cashmere sweater. Best after 2010." (03/2004)

1990 Margaux, Margaux (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum of 1990 Margaux, Margaux (1.5L) (100RP, 98ST, 98WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "I had this wine both in Seoul, Korea in February, and from my cellar in December, 2008, and it was remarkable how identical the wines smelled and tasted. It offers an extraordinary aromatic display of spring flowers, camphor, sweet red and black fruits, a hint of licorice, and no evidence of its 100% new oak cask aging. Round and generous with low acidity, but an opulent, full-bodied richness that is fresh with laser-like precision, this stunning wine is just beginning to reach its plateau of full maturity, where it should remain for another three decades. A sensational effort, it is one of the legendary wines made at Chateau Margaux. (RP)" (06/2009)

2011 Ridge "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum of 2011 Ridge "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) ((93-95RP), 93AG). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2011 Monte Bello (87% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc) emerges from the glass with tobacco, grilled herbs, smoke, incense and plums melding together in this soft, beautifully textured Monte Bello. The 2011 is a wine of exceptional textural finesse. The 100% new oak is totally integrated. In 2011, Ridge used a total of 18 of a possible 24 lots for the final blend. The presence of 88% Cabernet Sauvignon is the highest since the 1980s. I expect the 2011 to be a relatively early drinking Monte Bello, but time will be the judge. Anticipated maturity: 2018-2031. 2001 Saxum "Bone Rock" James Berry Vineyard Paso Robles Syrah (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum of 2001 Saxum "Bone Rock" James Berry Vineyard Paso Robles Syrah (1.5L) (95RP, 93WS). 95 points Robert Parker: "The spectacular 2001 Syrah James Berry Vineyard Bone Rock is a 300- case blend of 92% Syrah, 5% Mourvedre, and 3% Grenache aged 21 months in both French and Hungarian oak. Racked once, and bottled unfined and unfiltered, it takes its name from fossilized whale bones that were found imbedded in the vineyard’s steep, rocky terraces. It boasts great power and richness, but is incredibly well balanced. Its dense ruby/purple color is accompanied by a huge perfume of blackberry liqueur, camphor, licorice, earth, and roasting meat juices. The fabulous complex aromatics are followed by a full-bodied Syrah with great purity, impeccable balance, and world-class richness, complexity, and stature. This amazing effort can be drunk now or cellared for a decade. This is the best recent trilogy I’ve experienced since Peter Jackson’s Lord of the Rings!" (08/04) 93 points Wi

Of the 1999 Miner Family "Stagecoach Vineyard" Napa Valley Merlot (1.5L),From the winery writes: "Giddy Up! This Merlot is our first wine to come from the highly sought after Stagecoach Vineyard set high above the eastern hills of the valley. Carved out of rocky, red volcanic soil similar to the earth up at Oakville Ranch, this vineyard gives us the rich characteristics of mountain grown fruit. This wine is proof positive that we will never hang our hats on a wimpy, diluted and flavorless Merlot. Expect deep, rich earth and tobacco notes along with flavors of sweet blackberry, currant and cocoa nicely bundled and balanced on the palate with a lingering campfire finish of sweet oak and fruit."

2004 Falesco "Marciliano" Cabernet Umbria (1.5)
Bid on this magnum of 2004 Falesco "Marciliano" Cabernet Umbria (1.5). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2004 Marciliano (70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Cabernet Franc) is made in a similarly powerful, structured style as the Montiano. Unfortunately it doesn't have that wine's core of fruit and I don't see it ever becoming an especially generous wine. The Cabernet Franc character is also surprisingly absent in this wine. 1990 Parusso "Bussia" Barolo (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum of 1990 Parusso "Bussia" Barolo (1.5L) (95RP, 94AG). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1990 Barolo Bussia appears amazingly youthful both in terms of its color and the freshness of its aromas. It was fermented in temperature-controlled cements vats and this winemaking choice has undoubtedly helped secure variety integrity. Although you do detect budding tertiary aromas, this is among the best-preserved wines I tasted from 1990. Dark cherry and blackberry are followed by candied apricot, licorice, red rose petal and dried tobacco left. I was especially impressed by the overall austerity and the silkiness of the mouthfeel. This bottle should be decanted 12 hours or more before consumption. Drink: 2014-2028. (ML)" (07/2014)

Bid on this 1.5 liter 1-bottle lot of 2012 Schrader "Old Sparky" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (OWC - 100RP) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Another compelling, perfect wine is the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer to Kalon Vineyard Old Sparky. This is Clone 4 and Clone 6, as well as Clone 337, blended together from the Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard, aged in 100% new Darnajou barrels. For whatever reason, this wine seems to show more chocolate, espresso roast, barbecue smoke, dense blackberry and blueberry fruit and enormous body with not a touch of heaviness or astringency. Bid on this 2-magnum lot of 2010 Troplong Mondot, St-Emilion (1.5L) (99RP, 94JS, (90-94ST), 94WS, 92WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Inky, bluish/black/purple, with notes of spring flowers, licorice, camphor, graphite, and a boatload of blueberry, black raspberry and blackberry fruit, this is a powerful, full-bodied Troplong Mondot. All the building components of acidity, tannin, wood and alcohol are judiciously and impressively integrated. It is a blend of 90% Merlot and the rest equal parts Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc made by Christine Valette and her husband Xavier Pariente with the consultancy help of Michel Rolland. I-m not sure what the heady alcohol level is in Troplong Mondot in 2010 (it certainly must be in the 15%+ range), but it is well-concealed behind the extravagant, richness, full-bodied power, and pure nobility of this majestic wine. Forget this for 5-7 years and drink it over the following three decades." (02/2013)

Bid on this magnum of 2010 Linne Calodo "Cherry Red" Paso Robles Red Blend (1.5L) (94RP, 93ST, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Cherry Red comes across as sleek and polished. Juicy cherries, flowers, menthol, flowers and spices are some of the many nuances that caress the palate as this sleek, silky Zinfandel-based red opens up in the glass. Here the Zinfandel influence is felt in the aromas and flavors, but there is little in the way of overt sweetness. High-toned floral notes add lift on the bright, inviting finish. This is another wine I find absolutely compelling and, most importantly, flat-out delicious. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2018. " (08/2012)

This thick, opaque-purple colored wine offers up notes of scorched earth, ground pepper, and blackberry liqueur intermixed with cassis, licorice, camphor, and tar. As with many prodigious wines, the extraordinary freshness, purity, equilibrium, and singularity of this effort is breathtaking. Its dense purple color is accompanied by an extraordinary, incredibly pure, all enveloping, intense, sweet nose of black raspberries, kirsch, spring flowers, spice box, and pepper. Of the 2007 Next of Kyn (Sine Qua Non) "Cumulus Vineyard No. 1" Central Coast Syrah,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The 2007 Syrah Cumulus Vineyard is a meaty, earthy effort representing a hypothetical blend of a northern Rhone with the exuberant, unabashedly ripe, juicy fruit of California. Jus de viande, damp earth, black currant, and blackberry notes along with good minerality and an absence of oak are all present in this full-bodied Syrah. Bid on this magnum of 2010 Linne Calodo "Problem Child" Paso Robles Red Blend (1.5L) (95RP, 93ST, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "I very much like the way the 2010 Problem Child achieves tons of richness, but no sense of heaviness at all. Juicy dark cherries, hard candy, flowers, mint and sweet spices are all woven together in a fabric of notable class. Floral notes reappear on a sweet, perfumed finish buffered by lively acidity. Once again, there is plenty of depth, but little in the way of excess weight. This is a striking effort from Matt Trevisan. Problem Child is 77% Zinfandel (from Heaton and Cushman), 16% Syrah (from Caliza and Denner) and 7% Mourvedre (estate). Anticipated maturity: 2013-2020. It showcases just what intelligently blended Bordeaux varietals can achieve in Paso Robles. With sweet tannin, a bold, dramatic personality, copious quantities of black fruits, and abundant body, but no sense of heaviness or astringency, this rich 2004 should be even better in 2-3 years, and will last for 10-15 years. The rich, powerful and muscular full-bodied flavors ooze with dry extract that imparts an opulent mouth feel to the attractively precise and borderline painfully intense finish. Bid on this magnum of 2000 Heitz Cellar "Martha's Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L). "The 2000 Martha's Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon has a wonderful varietal aroma layered with bright cherry fruit and just a whisper of mint that makes the wine distinctive. The true elegance shines in the finesse and delicate structure Cabernet. It is approachable and enjoyable now, but with the proper PH balance and backbone to ensure longevity. Oak aging: 3½ years (One year American oak tanks and 2½ years in French Limousin oak barrels)."

Bid on this 3-magnum lot of 2007 Domaine de Montille Volnay 1er Cru "Les Champans" (1.5L) ((90-92BH), (89-92ST)). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Medium red. Sexy aromas of redcurrant, strawberry and smoked meat. Chewy, firmly built and rather backward, with a saline quality to the spice and mineral flavors. Showing little in the way of easy sweetness today but finishes with excellent breadth and fine-grained tannins." (03/2009)

Bid on this magnum of 2010 Linne Calodo "Sticks & Stones" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (1.5L) (94RP, 93WS, 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Sticks and Stones is a gorgeous, vibrant wine laced with sweet red cherries, licorice, mint and spices. There is a purity and sheer finesse here that is striking. Sweet floral notes add lift on the finish. This is a stunning, medium-bodied wine built on freshness, acidity and length. In 2010, the blend is 71% Grenache, 19% Mourvedre and 10% Syrah. What a great way to start this tasting. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2020. This set of wines from proprietor Matt Trevisan was among the most impressive I tasted in Paso Robles. (AG)" (08/2012)

1995 Silver Oak Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum of 1995 Silver Oak Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (94RP, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 1995 Cabernet Sauvignon Alexander Valley is performing far better after a year of bottle age. This dark ruby/purple-colored, seductive wine offers blazingly intense aromas of cigar box, smoky oak, and jammy black currants with a hint of Provencal herbs. Ripe and full-bodied, with low acidity, and a fleshy, succulent texture, it is a wine to drink over the next 14-15 years." (12/1998)

2001 Heitz Cellar "Martha's Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum of 2001 Heitz Cellar "Martha's Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (95RP, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "(95+ points): This was a spectacular performance from this hallowed vineyard as well as one of Napa Valley’s great historic terroirs. Made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, it reveals a still youthful personality and will benefit from another 5-7 years of bottle age. An opaque purple color is followed by aromas of graphite, creme de cassis, flowers and background earth as well as spice. The old eucalyptus-filled aromatics of a young Martha’s Vineyard are nowhere to be found as the 2001 is dominated by fruit and earth. Full-bodied and powerful with superb integration of wood, tannin, acidity and alcohol, this large-scaled red is capable of three or more decades of cellaring. It is unquestionably a youthful classic, but it requires patience from its owners. Anticipated maturity: 2016-2035. (RP)" (06/2011)

1997 Caymus Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L)
Bid on this 2-magnum lot of 1997 Caymus Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (91WE). Wine Enthusiast: "The bouquet is dark and serious, with brooding black-cherry, leather and cedar aromas. In the mouth, flavors of black plums, mint-menthol and tobacco—all with a foresty accent—fill the palate. On the heavy side of medium-weight, with a supple texture, it has a long, toasty finish with fine tannins. " (11/2000)

2010 Wind Gap "Ritchie Creek Vineyard" Spring Mountain District Blaufrankisch (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum of 2010 Wind Gap "Ritchie Creek Vineyard" Spring Mountain District Blaufrankisch (1.5L) (92W&S, 91RP, 90ST). Wine & Spirits: "Every once in a while, a wine breaks out of a blind tasting and alters the mood of the panel. It triggers happiness rather than making a case for pleasure. There’s nothing in my notes that can explain it: cool, saturated raspberry and rose scents, spicy, tight, lovely. Associate editor Luke Sykora described this as “totally fresh;” Gianpaolo Paterlini of Acquerello said, “It comes forward powerfully, then finishes clean.” Perhaps it’s just the right thing to grow on the flank of Spring Mountain, where Pete Minor had initially planted Pinot Noir. It’s a cool, forested area at an elevation of 1,200 feet near Ritchie Creek and the grapes weren’t ripening consistently; he tried Viognier, but wasn’t satisfied with that either. His neighbor, an Austrian, suggested he plant Blaufränkisch, and they decided to travel to Austria, bringing back budwood

2002 Domaine Lamarche La Grand Rue Grand Cru (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum of 2002 Domaine Lamarche La Grand Rue Grand Cru (1.5L) (92BH). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A reserved, even restrained nose that is elegant, pure and ripe as well as still largely if not completely primary with its spicy black fruit aromas that are trimmed in noticeable wood. There is a lovely mouth feel to the rich, full and naturally sweet medium weight plus flavors blessed with solid dry extract levels, all wrapped in a vibrant finish blessed with subtle minerality and impeccable balance. I really like the definition here and there is some backend wood remaining, it does not compromise the overall sense of equilibrium. This is built to age and should easily last for 30 years. Tasted several times recently with mostly consistent notes save for one very dull bottle that never did open up. Those who do not care for oak should note that there is enough here that it is not subtle but as noted, does not change the wine texturally. Try from 2017+" (03/2012)

Bid on this magnum of 2004 Domaine Ponsot Clos de la Roche Grand Cru "Vieilles Vignes" (1.5L) (93BH, 93ST). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Good deep red. Superripe, slightly decadent aromas of red cherry, leather and underbrush. Plush, fat and large-scaled; a full-blown expression of soil, with notes of smoke and game. This boasts extraordinary sweetness for the vintage, remaining just this side of over the top. Just a hint of nut skin on the finish. Very sexy wine." (03/2007)
