2009 Domaine François Bertheau Bonnes Mares Grand Cru (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum lot of 2009 Domaine François Bertheau Bonnes Mares Grand Cru (1.5L) (94BH). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "(a .34 ha parcel located 100% in terres rouges) A highly perfumed mix of both upper and lower register fruit notes that include red pinot, plum and orange peel complements the highly complex yet reserved medium weight plus flavors that possess excellent power and weight. The buried supporting tannins are quite fine and I like the sense of energy on the impressively long finish. An unusually elegant Bonnes Mares. Drink: 2021+" (01/2012)

Allen Meadows - Burghound: "*Don't miss!* This cool and equally fresh and restrained nose offers notably denser and much more complex aromas of red and blue pinot fruit, violets, earth and pungent minerality that is very much in keeping with the backward and ultra primary flavors that are firm, intense and precise, all wrapped in an austere, driving and powerful finish. Bid on this magnum lot of 2013 Kata "Beckstoffer Bourn Vineyard" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (OWC - 95RP, 94VN) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: " A new entry, this wine emerges from a Beckstoffer-owned vineyard right next to his more famous Dr. Crane Vineyard in St. Helena. A blend of 83% Cabernet Sauvignon and 17% Petit Verdot, the wine has a dense purple color and a big, sweet kiss of pen ink and graphite as well as blueberry and blackberry fruit. Sweet tannins, an opulent, full-bodied mouthfeel, super-duper purity and a multi-layered finish of close to 45 seconds make for a terrific Cabernet Sauvignon from this great vintage. Drink it over the next 20+ years. (RP)" (12/2015)

2014 Morlet "La Proportion Dorée" Sonoma County White Blend (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum lot of 2014 Morlet "La Proportion Dorée" Sonoma County White Blend (1.5L) (100RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A perfect wine is the 2014 La Proportion Dorée, a blend of 65% Semillon, 24% Sauvignon Blanc and 1% Muscadelle. This 650-case cuvée is from 29-year-old, dry farmed vines and was barrel-fermented. The wine is absolutely out of this world. With a light greenish gold color and a killer nose of lanolin, caramelized citrus, honeysuckle, orange marmalade and candle wax, the wine displays great acidity, a magnificent, massive, full-bodied mouthfeel, and seems to come across like a Sonoma County version of a dry Haut Brion blanc. This is singular wine - profound, compelling, whatever! It should drink well for at least 10 years, if you can resist its early charms. (RP)" (12/2015)

Bid on this 2-magnum lot of 2010 Pontet-Canet, Pauillac (1.5L) (100JS, 100RP, 98WE, (94-97ST), 97WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "An absolutely amazing wine...It comes from one of the few biodynamic vineyards in Bordeaux, but you are likely to see many more, given the success that Tesseron seems to be having at all levels, both in his vineyards and in his fermentation/winemaking. An astounding, compelling wine with the classic Pauillac nose more often associated with its cross-street neighbor, Mouton-Rothschild, creme de cassis, there are also some violets and other assorted floral notes. The wine has off-the-charts massiveness and intensity but never comes across as heavy, overbearing or astringent. The freshness, laser-like precision, and full-bodied, massive richness and extract are simply remarkable to behold and experience ... " (02/2013)

2010 Domaine Joseph Drouhin Grands Echezeaux Grand Cru (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum lot of 2010 Domaine Joseph Drouhin Grands Echezeaux Grand Cru (1.5L) ((93-95BH)). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Along with the Amoureuses and Musigny this possesses the most impressive aromatic profile in the entire range with its spicy, pure, elegant and highly complex liqueur of red and black cherry scents that evidence a top note of menthol. The suave and incredibly seductive flavors ooze a subtle natural sweetness yet underneath all of this youthful charm lurks a firm but ripe tannic spine that focuses the long and mouth coating finish. I'm not sure why but of all the wines in the extensive Drouhin portfolio, the Grands Echézeaux seems to have made the most progress in recent years and it now consistently ranks with the very best here." A fascinating blend of 53% Cabernet Franc and 47% Cabernet Sauvignon, it is full-bodied, with a magnificent nose of blueberry liqueur, violets, forest floor, graphite and some subtle oak. Tangy, pure aromas of raspberry, crushed stone and flowers. Intensely flavored, juicy and youthfully tight, with noteworthy precision to the tangy raspberry and stone flavors. Not fleshy but seductively aromatic on the unflagging finish, throwing off suggestions of spices and flowers. Vinous: "Majestic and towering in personality, the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon is one of the truly great wines of a great vintage. The flavors are bold, intense and driving, with huge swaths of tannins and layers of pulsating minerality in support. Graphite, leather, lavender, tobacco and spices wrap around the virile, imposing finish. A wine of vertical structure and stunning detail, the 2013 is going to need the better part of the next decade to start opening up. Bid on this magnum lot of 1991 Stag's Leap Wine Cellars "Cask 23" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (1.5L) (96RP, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The superb 1991 Cask 23 Proprietary Red Wine appears to be one of the truly outstanding examples of this expensive proprietary red wine. The wine's saturated dark purple color is followed by a huge, unevolved but sexy nose of toasty new oak, dense, black-cherry and jammy cassis fruit, and vague scents of underbrush and spice. Extremely rich and concentrated, it offers intriguing blackcurrant and coffee flavors, full body, remarkable harmony, and a finish that lasts for nearly a minute. Still young, unevolved, and less flattering at present than the more open knit 1990, it merits cellaring of 2-4 years. (RP)" (12/1994)

2014 Kosta Browne Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum lot of 2014 Kosta Browne Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (1.5L) (93RP, 91CG, 90VN, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The last of the appellation releases, the 2014 Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast was brought up in 55% new French oak, which is slightly more than the 2013. Deep, rich and earthy, with notes of bouquet garni, smoked earth, licorice and dark fruits, it has full-bodied richness, a big mid-palate and is packed with gorgeous amounts of fruit. It's a big, rich wine from this cool climate appellation, yet I suspect it will show more classic Sonoma Coast characteristics with a year or two in bottle. It's a beautiful wine. (JD)" (09/2016)

Bid on this magnum lot of 2005 Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (100RP, 96WE, 94ST, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "From a hot vintage and incredible any way you look at it, the 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon has that laser-like focus of a cooler year, yet the voluptuousness and richness of a warmer year. Smoked black fruits, coffee, truffle and pen ink-like aromas and flavors all emerge from this massive, incredibly full-bodied effort and on the palate, it carries itself perfectly with a weightless, yet decadent texture, masses of polished tannin and blockbuster length. More classic and textbook than the 2007, it is every bit as good. Enjoy it over the coming two decades or more. Drink now-2033. (JD)" (06/2013)

2007 Le Vieux Donjon Chateauneuf-du-Pape (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum lot of 2007 Le Vieux Donjon Chateauneuf-du-Pape (1.5L) ((93-96ST), 95RP, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Still backward and unevolved, the 2007 Chateauneuf du Pape (75% Grenache, 10% Syrah, 10% Mourvedre, and 5% other authorized varietals) was aged completely in foudre. Its deep ruby/purple color is followed by a reticent, but burgeoning bouquet of black cherries, plums, black currants, garrigue, lavender, and licorice. One can sense the weight, power, and richness in the mouth, but the tannins are there, and the wine also has very good acids. Consequently, patience will be required, and this is one 2007 where 2-3 years of bottle age is warranted. The wine is capable of lasting 15-20+ years..." (10/2009)

Medium to full-bodied, fresh and lively, the acids have fallen away and the tannins have melted into an opulent, fleshy, classic Bordeaux. Consume it over the next 10-15 years. Bravo! Showing consistently, with tons of savory, meaty characteristics in its currants, cassis, ground herbs and wood smoke-like aromas and flavors, this is a full-bodied, gorgeously concentrated 2011 that shows the freshness and purity of the vintage, yet backs it up with plenty of texture and length. This is a richly textured, intense wine loaded with ripe fruit and sweet toasted oak. Today it remains quite primary, but it will be stunner in a few years’ time, once the full range of its tertiary aromas and flavors have developed. Patience is the key. Bid on this magnum lot of 2001 Ridge "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (99RP, 98VN, 97WE, 95WS, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A resoundingly great effort from this iconic producer, Ridge's 2001 is a spectacular, still young but promising wine... A dense ruby/purple color is accompanied by extravagant, generous aromas of pen ink, lead pencil shavings, spice box and black fruits. The wine is full-bodied and silky textured, but secondary nuances have not yet begun to develop as it is still very primary, tasting more like a 3-4 year old Monte Bello than one that is ten years of age. Nevertheless, it reveals spectacular concentration, a voluptuous texture, a rare opulence for a Ridge Monte Bello, and an incredible finish. The upside is enormous and this cuvee may prove somewhat atypical due to the huge percentage of Merlot in the final blend and the higher than normal alcohol. (RP)" (06/2011)

(It’s interesting to note that these 2014s are all in bottle while the Chardonnays are still in tank awaiting bottling.) This is a wine with great fruit, terrific acids and a long finish. It should evolve for 10 or more years. (RP)" (12/2015)

Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Bright, saturated ruby-red. Deep, complex nose offers cassis, blueberry, mocha, espresso, menthol, bitter chocolate and tobacco. Densely packed and vibrant, with layered, seamless flavors of cassis, licorice and minerals. Shows an almost chocolatey ripeness yet retains outstanding verve. This chewy, superconcentrated wine finishes with ripe, pliant tannins and outstanding length and mineral reserve. Should be long-lived. 94(+?) points. (ST)" (06/2013)

Bid on this magnum lot of 2007 Domaine du Pégaü "Cuvée da Capo" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (1.5L) (100RP, 96VN, 96WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "For the fourth time, the Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee da Capo has been produced, and for the fourth time, it has received a perfect score... An inky/purple color is followed by aromas of smoked meats, Peking duck, licorice, lavender, aged beef, grilled steak blood, black currants, plums, sauteed cepes and soy. Enormously concentrated, broad, expansive and massive but not over the top, this is a tour de force in winemaking that is impossible to imagine unless one has a bottle to work through over the course of 4 to 5 hours ... 2002 Duckhorn Napa Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum lot of 2002 Duckhorn Napa Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (91CG, 90W&S). Connoisseurs Guide: "Very much adhering to the fully extracted style we have come to expect from Duckhorn, this outgoing bottling sports very well-concentrated black cherry and curranty fruit scents as well as a full range of loamy, caramelly, creamy and somewhat juicy notes. It is full on the palate and a bit brusque in tannin while never losing sight of central fruit and, while it will not disappoint when partnered with a hunk of roasted meat, it needs a bit of bottle age to lose its tougher aspects." Allen Meadows - Burghound: "An exuberantly expressive nose offers up an abundance of exotic Vosne spice elements along with notes of violets, plum and cassis. There is good muscle and punch to the broad-shouldered, robust and solidly well-concentrated flavors that possess plenty of supporting dry extract, all wrapped in a mouth coating firm, balanced and impressively persistent finish. 2010 The Mascot (Harlan) Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum lot of 2010 The Mascot (Harlan) Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (1.5L) in original wood. 2010 is the third release of the Mascot, Will Harlan's project sourcing from the younger vines at Harlan Estate and BOND. From the winery: "The 2010 vintage was one of the coolest years in recent memory and one that provided a nurturing backdrop for these young-rooted vines to express themselves. The growing season began late, with budbreak occurring in mid to late April. Extra diligence and care were required of the team at every stage during leafing, fruit thinning, and harvest. Nature was benevolent during the long, measured harvest, allowing our team to pick each lot as it ripened. Notes of graphite, cedar, and forest floor are ever-present on the nose. On entry the wine is brought into focus seamlessly through a fine lens of acidity, lending energy and freshness to power and structure. Soft yet supple tannins expand out horizontally on the palate, resolving into an extremely long

Bid on this magnum lot of 2008 Domaine Fourrier Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru "Clos St. Jacques" 1.5L (94ST, 92BH). 92 Points and Outstanding! from Allen Meadows: "A beautiful panoply of floral and herbal suffused red and blue pinot fruit liberally laced with ample minerality that also defines the textured and ultra pure middle weight flavors that possess excellent precision and verve on the driving and wonderfully long and linear finish." (Burghoudn 01/11) Steve Tanzer writes: "Medium red. High-pitched aromas of red cherry, raspberry, rose petal, white pepper and crushed stone. Dense and silky in texture but with great juiciness, clarity and lift thanks to piquant acidity and stony minerality. This saturates the palate with fruits and flowers yet comes off as virtually weightless. An explosive hint of pepper accentuates the impression of lift, but there's nothing green about this beauty. My style of Burgundy." (International Wine Cellar, 03/11)

Bid on this 3-magnum lot of 2005 Beau-Séjour-Bécot, St-Emilion (1.5L) (94RP, 92ST, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A beautiful wine from Beau-Séjour Bécot, the color of the 2005 is an opaque purple and the wine is loaded with notes of cedar wood, Asian spice, blackberry and cassis fruit. Full-bodied and tannic, but broad, huge, and massive, this wine is still an infant and needs another 7-10 years of cellaring. This is a 40- to 50-year wine from the Bécot family. 94+ points. Bid on this magnum lot of 2006 Ridge "Monte Bello" Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (95VN, 94RP, 93JS, 93ST, 92W&S). Vinous: "A dark, brooding beauty, the 2006 Monte Bello is still very, very young. The aromatics alone are enticing, but the tannins still need time to soften. The 2006 is a masculine, vertical Monte Bello that demands cellaring. Even so, it is pretty impressive today. Scents of lavender, sage, mint and savory herbs add closing flourishes. The perfumed sweetness of the fruit - one of the hallmarks of the very late harvest - remains one of the signatures of the 2006. The 2006 can be enjoyed today or cellared for another 25+ years. Drink 2016 - 2046. (AG)" (07/2016)

Bid on this magnum lot of 2008 Joseph Drouhin Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru "Les Petits Monts" (1.5L) (91BH, 91RP, 91ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "From Veronique Drouhin-Boss’s personal acreage, the 2008 Vosne-Romanee Les Petits Monts -- of which there are but three barrels -- smells alluringly of cassis, dark cherry and citrus oils along with white pepper, soy, and ginger. Sweetly ripe and pungently spicy, it turns impressively dark and brooding as it moves toward its finish, with peat, chalk, and forest floor elements, its abundant tannins fine-grained and well-shrouded. Cinnamon and clove add to the persistence of ginger in a succulent, at once vivacious and transparent yet (metaphorically) darkly-hued finish. Several years of cellaring would be advisable here and I expect the wine will remain worth following for at least a dozen years. (DS)" (06/2010)

The nose just pops out. Intense. Full body, with a round and velvety tannin structure and lots of currants, ripe strawberries. Very intense every. Black pepper at the finish. Muscular yet toned. Very structured yet balanced. This needs a minimum of four to five years of aging. Paul Draper says that perhaps this is as great as the legendary 1991. Made for aging." (05/2012)

Ginger, orange blossom and candied lemon are some of the signatures, but above all else, the Hudson is a wine of vertical intensity and power. The wine gets better and better with time in the glass. Bid on this 2-magnum lot of 2010 Domaine Anne Gros Echézeaux-Les Loächausses Grand Cru (1.5L) (93BH, 93ST). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Good bright medium red. Inviting aromas of raspberry, crushed stone and smoky minerality. Round, sweet, silky and fine-grained; showing less piercing fruit today than the village Vosne but significantly more texture and volume. Finishes broad and lightly saline, with substantial ripe, horizontal tannins buffered by the wine's mid-palate richness. "It wouldn't be criminal to drink this wine now," said Anne Gros. 1964 Petrus, Pomerol (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum lot of 1964 Petrus, Pomerol (1.5L) (99RP, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "A mammoth Petrus of stupendous extraction and power, this wine seems to be aging at a glacier pace. I suppose the 1975 is somewhat similar in style, with high levels of tannin and equally impressive levels of richness. This wine has a dark, murky garnet color with some orange and rust at the edge. The spectacular aromatics soar from the glass, offering up roasted herbs, espresso coffee, mocha, caramel, and plenty of jammy red and black fruits. A huge, viscous, spectacularly concentrated wine that is almost over the top in a style that even wine administrator Christian Moueix would probably find too big and intense for his more delicately styled taste. Nevertheless, lucky owners of this Petrus have decades of thrills still ahead of them. This is spectacular stuff! (RP)" (12/2002)

2002 Blankiet "Paradise Hills" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum lot of 2002 Blankiet "Paradise Hills" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (98RP, 94VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This beautiful hillside vineyard is situated behind the Dominus Estate in Yountville. The 2002 Cabernet Sauvignon Paradise Hills Vineyard (100% Cabernet Sauvignon) has turned out even better than I predicted seven years ago. Made by Helen Turley when she was the consultant at Blankiet from tightly spaced, steep hillside vineyards planted by her husband, John Wetlaufer, it exhibits a beautiful nose of flowers, high quality unsmoked cigar tobacco, creme de cassis, chocolate, espresso and blueberries. Extraordinarily young, fresh and fabulously concentrated, this wine still impresses with its intensity, complexity and youthfulness. It will probably not peak in quality for a decade, and has 20-30 years of further aging potential. (RP)" (07/2012)
