2006 Bond "Vecina" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum lot of 2006 Bond "Vecina" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (1.5L) (95RP, 95ST, 93JS, 93W&S, 92WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2006 Vecina has turned out even better than I expected last year. Graphite/lead pencil notes intermixed with hints of burning embers and charcoal, an opaque purple color, and sweet blackberry and roasted espresso notes are all present in this wine, which is masculine, muscular, tannic, but incredibly well-endowed and a potential candidate for 30 years of aging. This wine needs 4-5 years of cellaring and should last three decades. 95+ (RP)" (12/2009)

2007 Larkmead Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L)
Bid on this 2-magnum lot of 2007 Larkmead Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (94RP, 91ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Composed of 96% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Merlot, and 1% Cabernet Franc, the 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate (nearly 4,000 cases produced) is a great buy for a world-class Napa Cabernet Sauvignon. It exhibits a dense purple color, notes of charcoal, creme de cassis, graphite, and forest floor, and a ripe, opulently fruity, rich, full-bodied style. Its endearing silkiness, multi-dimensions, and mature, sweet tannins suggest it has two decades of life ahead of it. One of Napa Valley’s finest estates, and one that is not as appreciated as it should be, Larkmead fashions top-flight wines that should evolve for 15-25 years or more. Scotsman Andy Smith is the consulting winemaker for this estate, which is located off the valley floor just north of St. Helena. The 2007s are strong follow-ups to Larkmead’s terrific 2005s and 2006s. As a historical note, the 2009s will be t

Bid on this magnum lot of 2006 Bond "Pluribus" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (1.5L) (96ST, 94RP, 94W&S, 94WE). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Saturated bright ruby. Black fruits, mocha and a whiff of truffle on the rather clenched, slightly porty nose. Plush, sweet and large-scaled, but with almost surprising vinosity giving shape to the flavors of dark berries, coffee, mocha and iron. A huge wine with outstanding palate-staining persistence. The major tannins spread out to saturate every square millimeter of the palate. (ST)" (05/2009)

2012 Ovid Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum lot of 2012 Ovid Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (1.5L) (OWC - 97VN, 94RP, 93WS) in original wood. Vinous: "The 2012 Ovid is a bit darker and inward than the Hexameter. Dark red cherry, mocha, spice, new leather, mint and cloves are all laced together in a wine that captures the relaxed, easygoing style of the year. Sumptuous, expressive and wonderfully resonant in the glass, the 2012 has it all. This is a stunning effort from the team at Ovid. A great example of the vintage at its very, very best. This is a remarkable set of wines from Ovid. The 2012s have grown in bottle considerably since I last tasted them about a year ago. Winemaker Austin Peterson describes 2012 as a more relaxed and leisurely growing season than either 2013 and 2014, both of which were early. Ovid is always among the last estates to blend, so I tasted the 2014s in separate lots from barrel, including most of the core lots that are the backbones for the flagship wines. 2010 Domaine Joseph Drouhin Grands Echezeaux Grand Cru (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum lot of 2010 Domaine Joseph Drouhin Grands Echezeaux Grand Cru (1.5L) ((93-95BH)). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "Along with the Amoureuses and Musigny this possesses the most impressive aromatic profile in the entire range with its spicy, pure, elegant and highly complex liqueur of red and black cherry scents that evidence a top note of menthol. The suave and incredibly seductive flavors ooze a subtle natural sweetness yet underneath all of this youthful charm lurks a firm but ripe tannic spine that focuses the long and mouth coating finish. I'm not sure why but of all the wines in the extensive Drouhin portfolio, the Grands Echézeaux seems to have made the most progress in recent years and it now consistently ranks with the very best here." Bid on this magnum lot of 2007 Vietti "Rocche" Barolo (1.5L) (99RP, 98JS, 96ST, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Vietti's 2007 Barolo Rocche is shaping up to be one of the wines of the vintage. The bouquet alone is transcendental. The voluptuous, classy Rocche shows off endless layers of fruit in an exciting and totally alluring expression of Nebbiolo. The wine seems to float on the palate, as the essence of geraniums, red berries, hard candy and minerals conquer all of the senses. Fine, silky tannins frame a finish of breathtaking beauty. The Rocche spent a full 5 weeks of contact on the skins. Like all the Vietti Baroli, malolactic fermentation was carried out in French oak after which the wine was racked into large, neutral casks for aging. The 2007 Rocche is the very finest wine I have ever tasted from Vietti. I only hope Alfredo Currado had a chance to taste this at least a few times before he passed away last year. (AG)" (02/2011)

Ripe yellow fruits and acacia blossom on the nose. Rich, ripe and sweet, with apricot, peach and spice flavors framed by lively acidity. A strong powdered stone quality gives this very juicy wine an impression of chewiness without weight. Savory and very long on the finish. Offers outstanding potential. (ST)" (09/2011)

Bid on this magnum lot of 1996 Falletto di Bruno Giacosa "Le Rocche del Falletto" Barolo Riserva (1.5L). Praise for Giacosa's 1996 vintage from Stephen Tanzer: "Giacosa is enamored with the '96 vintage, which he compares in quality and balance to the fabulous year of 1971. The Giacosa '96s I tasted are legends in the making, among the high points of my recent tour and truly great examples of traditional winemaking. Aromatically speaking, they are truly exhilarating wines, and they appear to have the sheer material and sweetness at the core to outlast their powerful, palate saturating tannins... 1996 was a more regular year, yielding wines with superb color and structure, thanks largely to sound acidity. They also offer a rare degree of flavor development." (11/1998)

Bid on this magnum lot of 2013 Cliff Lede "Poetry" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (OWC - 100RP, 93VN) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Poetry reveals a rather inky, bluish/purple color. A blend of 95% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Cabernet Franc and the rest Merlot and Petit Verdot, this wine is super-youthful and still tastes somewhat like a barrel sample. It’s bursting with upside potential. Inky purple to the rim, with notes of crème de cassis, black cherry liqueur, licorice, spice and a touch of vanilla, this is a full-bodied, concentrated and an utterly profound wine that may represent the greatest wine that Cliff Lede has made to date. 1994 Angélus, St-Emilion (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum lot of 1994 Angélus, St-Emilion (1.5L) (93RP, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: " ... This estate is in many ways symbolic of what heights Bordeaux can achieve when a property is managed by someone as passionate and driven as Hubert de Bouard. As I have been writing for the last decade, these are wines to buy at first release; they can only go up in price given their quality. Another inky, purple/black-colored wine, the 1994 offers up heavenly scents of smoked meats, barbeque spices, hickory wood, and plenty of cassis and kirsch liqueur. The fruit's phenomenal purity and denseness, as well as its overall balance is admirable in view of the massive, muscular personality of this huge, full-bodied wine oozing with extract. It is a tour de force in winemaking. (RP)" (02/1997)

Pliant, creamy and super-expressive, the 2014 offers terrific depth and intensity through to the finish. A blend of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc, I always find Gracia to be reminiscent of Ausone. The dense, rich 2000 reveals notes of a spring flower garden intermixed with smoky barbecue meat, blackberries, black currants, and crushed rocks. The extraordinary perfume is followed by a wine of great depth and richness, full-bodied power, and not a hard edge to be found. 1972 La Mission Haut-Brion, Pessac-Léognan (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum lot of 1972 La Mission Haut-Brion, Pessac-Léognan (1.5L). The 1972 vintage was cold and cloudy, but the long-lived, elegant wine produced from this estate shows the winemaker's prowess at full steam. According to Robert Parker: "La Mission Haut-Brion tends to be a bigger, richer, more deeply colored wine than Haut-Brion. It has also been one of Bordeaux's most successful wines in mediocre or poor vintages. The 1997, 1994, 1993, 1987, 1974, 1972, 1967, 1960, 1958 and 1957 are vivid proof of that fact.
