2002 Torbreck "Les Amis" Grenache Barossa Valley (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum of 2002 Torbreck "Les Amis" Grenache Barossa Valley (1.5L) (98RP, 93JH, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The youngest wine we tasted was the sensational 2002 Les Amis (100% Grenache from 100+-year-old vines). This is a Grenache aged in new oak (something I normally don’t like), but at age seven it has thrown off any evidence of its barrique aging, exhibiting classic notes of black raspberries, black currants, lavender, earth, and pepper. Full-bodied with gorgeous purity, a multilayered texture, and a long finish with no hard edges...(RP)" (06/2009)

Wine Spectator: " *Highly Recommended and Ranked #18 of Top 100 Wines of 2008* Exhibits blackberry, mineral, currant and dark chocolate. Full and velvety, with lots of fruit and chewy tannins. Long and caressing, with incredibly sweet fruit and tannins on the finish. Goes on for minutes. A thoroughly gorgeous wine. Best after 2015. (JS)" (03/2008)

Allen Meadows - Burghound: "*Don't miss!* This too is reference standard RSV with its wonderfully seductive panoply of spice and fresh crushed herb notes that seamlessly merge with rich, powerful yet refined flavors that pack plenty of punch and length. The length here is simply phenomenal and this is without question the finest wine in the line-up. 2006 Alban "Reva" Edna Valley Syrah (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum of 2006 Alban "Reva" Edna Valley Syrah (1.5L) (100RP, 97WS, 94ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2006 Syrah Reva, coming from parcels of dark, volcanic soil, has off-the-chart richness and intensity. This thick, opaque-purple colored wine offers up notes of scorched earth, ground pepper, and blackberry liqueur intermixed with cassis, licorice, camphor, and tar. The wine is spectacular in every sense. Full-bodied and certainly not for wimps, this is a remarkably concentrated yet very nuanced and intense wine that should age for 20 more years. Bid on this magnum of 2007 Futo Oakville Bordeaux Blend (1.5L) (OWC - 98RP, 97WS, 94ST) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "These proprietary reds are dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon, and the 2007 is the finest wine yet produced at Futo. A blend of 61% Cabernet Sauvignon, a whopping 33% Cabernet Franc, and 6% Petit Verdot, it boasts a dense purple color as well as a gorgeously sweet bouquet of blue and black fruits, spring flowers, and crushed rocks, full-bodied power allied to compelling elegance, and a layered, multidimensional personality. There is plenty of depth in this beauty, and it is no doubt capable of putting on lots of weight and complexity given the Cabernet Franc component. Give it 3-4 years of cellaring, and drink it over the following 20-25 years. (RP)" (12/2009)

Bid on this magnum of 2007 Levy & McClellan Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (OWC - 96RP, 95ST) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon has closed down slightly since last year. Now in bottle, it exhibits an opaque purple color as well as a similar but more subdued bouquet of lead pencil shavings, burning embers, blueberry liqueur, creme de cassis and flowers. Powerful, rich and pure, its statuesque structure, lavish concentration and formidable tannin levels suggest 3-5 years of bottle age is warranted. This may turn out to be the finest Cabernet Sauvignon produced in the short history of the Levy and McClellan Diamond Mountain winery, although the 2008 has the potential to equal it. The 2007 should last for three decades or more. (RP)" (12/2010)

Bid on this magnum of 2009 Saxum "James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (1.5L) (98RP, 97JS, 97WS, 96VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Simply put, the 2009 James Berry Vineyard is one of the greatest young wines I have ever tasted from California, or anywhere for that matter. Bright, floral aromatics lead to expressive red fruit in this impossibly elegant, dazzling wine. A melange of rose petals, mint and licorice follows as the James Berry shows off its breathtaking clarity and finesse. Fine-grained, chalky tannins frame the exceptional finish. Frankly, I am surprised this is the first wine of the tasting. Where does one go from here? The 2009 James Berry is a bit of departure from previous vintages. This is the highest percentage of Grenache ever used in the blend, and a large portion of the Grenache was aged in concrete, an approach Smith has borrowed from producers in the Rhone. Originally Smith had intended to age less of the Grenache components in concrete, but the low

Bid on this magnum of 2002 Peter Michael "Le Moulin Rouge" Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot Noir (1.5 L) (92ST, 91RP). 91 points Robert Parker: "The 2002 Pinot Noir Le Moulin Rouge (325 cases) displays the same floral characteristics as the 2001 along with striking elegance. Although more superficial on the palate, without the depth and power of the 2001, it is still an elegant, complex beauty that should drink well for 5-6 years. P.S. For those who have them in the bottle, the final ratings for the 2002 Chardonnays are as follows: Belle Cote (96), La Carriere (97), Cuvee Indigene (95), Ma Belle Fille (96), Mon Plaisir (94), and Point Rouge (98)." (02/05) 92(+?) points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "(aged in 50% new and 50% once-used barrels) Good bright ruby-red. 2005 Torbreck "Les Amis" Grenache Barossa Valley (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum of 2005 Torbreck "Les Amis" Grenache Barossa Valley (1.5L) (98RP, 94VN, 93WE, 91WS, 17JR). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2005 Les Amis, sourced from a 100+-year-old vineyard, is 100% Grenache aged for 18 months in new oak. Remarkably fragrant, it emits full-throttle aromas of spice box, kirsch, wild raspberry, and blackberry liqueur. Plush on the palate, it reveals layers of rich, red and black berry flavors, ripe tannin, and a 60-second, pure finish. Although it can be admired now, the wine merits 6-8 years of further bottle aging to reveal all of its splendors. This sensational effort could easily masquerade as Pegau Cuvee de Capo on human growth hormone. (JM)" (10/2007)

Bid on this magnum of 2003 Kilikanoon "Oracle" Shiraz Clare Valley South Australia (1.5L) (97RP, 94JH). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The blockbuster 2003 Shiraz Oracle, aged in 300 liter French hogsheads (50% new and 50% 1-year-old), possesses classic blackberry, graphite, and cassis notes, a full-bodied, powerful style, great definition and purity, and surprising elegance and lightness for a wine of this size and richness. This full-bodied classic boasts a dense purple color as well as a superb nose of graphite, creme de cassis, forest floor, licorice and a hint of truffles, low acidity, and extravagant richness. Most of the tannins have been resolved in this superstar of the vintage. It should continue to drink well for 10-15+ years. 95+ points. (RP)" (08/2014)

Bid on this magnum of 2010 Saxum "James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (1.5L) (97RP, 96VN, 94ST, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Sporting a vibrant ruby, semi-opaque color, the 2010 James Berry Vineyard is the most tight, backward version of this cuvee that I can recall. A blend of 52% Grenache, 26% Mourvedre, and 22% Syrah, it has a decidedly savory bouquet of blackberry liqueur, kirsch, violets, bouquet garni, ground pepper, and graphite. Full-bodied and layered on the palate, with brilliant mid-palate concentration, superb freshness, and masses of tannin, this brilliant Rhone blend from Paso Robles will stand toe-to-toe with the best wines out there, but it is not for those seeking instant gratification and will require 4-5 years of bottle age. In 2010, the Grenache component was aged in a combination of concrete tank and oak puncheons, and this shows in both the aromatics and texture, with less obvious sweetness and more freshness. It will evolve gracefully for two

2007 Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum of 2007 Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (100RP, 96WE, 95ST, 94WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: " A monumental wine in the making, the 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon is one of those wines that presents such an over the top array of aromas and flavors that it’s hard to figure out what you think about it with just a quick glance. It’s only with the second or third sip that you really start to see how special this effort truly is. Offering up perfumed, intense aromas of plum, violets, ink, licorice and black currants, it flows onto the palate with a massive, incredibly full-bodied texture that builds through the mid-palate and carries layers of polished tannins, awesome purity of fruit and blockbuster length. Most likely not for everyone given the sheer size, it is an incredible wine in my opinion. Still tasting like a barrel sample, it will have 30+ total years of longevity. Drink 2017-2037. Bid on this magnum of 2011 Saxum "James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (1.5L) (96RP, 96VN, 94ST, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "96+ Reminding me of a top 2010 Chateauneuf du Pape (the 2010 Raymond Usseglio Cuvee Imperiale to be exact), the 2011 James Berry Vineyard is a blend of 69% Grenache, 13% Mourvedre, 13% Syrah, 2% Counoise, and a splash of Roussanne, that was aged in a combination of concrete (Grenache) and larger oak puncheons. A fresh, detailed and more elegant example of the cuvee, it offers gorgeous notes of ripe berry fruit, loads of exotic spice, violets, pepper and lavender to go with a full-bodied, beautifully pure and layered profile on the palate. It's no blockbuster, but has loads of energy and tension, as well as class and refinement. Give it 2-3 years in the cellar and enjoy it over the following decade or longer. (JD)" (08/2014)

Bid on this magnum of 2007 Peter Michael "Les Pavots" Knights Valley Bordeaux Blend (1.5L) (97RP, 95WS, 93JS, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2007 Les Pavots, a Bordeaux varietal blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Cabernet Franc, 10% Merlot, and 3% Petit Verdot, is brilliant. Its opaque purple color is accompanied by gorgeously complex aromas of melted chocolate, espresso roast, blackberries, and cassis. Full-bodied with a superb texture, a subtle note of oak, and fabulous concentration, it is more reminiscent of a Right Bank Bordeaux than one expects with this much Cabernet Sauvignon in the blend. A thirty-year wine, its impeccable balance and the sweetness of its tannins make it accessible already. (RP)" (02/2010)

Along with Taylor and Fonseca, Graham has probably been the most consistent producer of great port in the post- World War II era. Their tawnys are quite good rather than exceptional, but their vintage ports are truly sublime and sumptuous. (RP)" (01/1989)

Real gran reserva. Dried fruits such as plums, prunes and cherries. Hints of figs too. Layered and so structured. Full-bodied and chewy yet intense and persistent. A fabulous wine. This deeply ripe, dense, broad, medium-to-full-bodied, and expansive wine is intense, powerful, and muscular, yet is completely refined and focused. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2007 Vieux Telegraphe may be the greatest wine made at this property since the 2005 and 1998. Dense ruby/purple-tinged with an exquisite nose of salty sea breezes, licorice, ground pepper, jammy black cherries, black currants, figs, and plums, this is a full-bodied, rich, Provencal-styled offering with lots of sweet, ripe tannin. It is surprisingly accessible for a Vieux Telegraphe (this wine normally shuts down several years after bottling), but it should have great longevity (25+ years) given its power, full-bodied mouthfeel, and enormous length and richness. It even has his proprietary glass and comes from the same 100+ year-old vines, as well as being vinified in the same cellar. Oh, and the price—a fraction of that under Ponsot's own label. Such are the joys of share-cropping. The Ponsot wine recieved 92=94 points from Allen Meadows in Burghound: "Strong reduction. The flavor profile is wonderfully rich, full and naturally sweet and brimming with buckets of dry extract that renders the tannins all but invisible on the fantastically deep and impressively balanced finish that offers up lovely freshness and precision. The wine boasts a saturated inky/purple color as well as extraordinary density of fruit and cassis, and huge tannin, body, and extract. Bid on this magnum of 2005 Pahlmeyer Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (1.5L) (95CG, 95RP, 94ST, 94WS). While this might not be the blockbuster one would expect, there is outstanding depth, purity and overall texture and ripeness. Again, terrific acidity gives the wine vigor and precision, despite a lofty 15.2% alcohol. The wine is fresh and pure, with black raspberry and blackcurrant fruit, some white floral notes, and the telltale forest floor. This is a wine to drink over the next 10-15+ years. 2005 Duckhorn "Estate" Napa Cabernet Sauvignon 1.5L
Bid on this 2-magnum lot of 2005 Duckhorn "Estate" Napa Cabernet Sauvignon 1.5L (93W&S, 90WS). Wine & Spirits: "If anyone needs proof that Napa Valley can still grow honest Cabernet, structured rather than softened by tannins, taste this wine from Duckhorn. It's balanced and firm, with plenty of alcohol to fire the earthiness. Its structure is completely filled by dark fruit and fruit-skin flavors of blueberries and black cherries. There's a lasting wild mushroom fruitiness to the tannin as well, adding depth to the wine and strengthening its potential to age." (12/2009)
