1985 Margaux, Margaux (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum lot of 1985 Margaux, Margaux (1.5L) (95RP, 90WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Approaching full maturity, this beautifully sweet Chateau Margaux has a dense plum/purple color and a huge, sweet nose of black currants intermixed with licorice, toast, underbrush, and flowers. Medium to full-bodied with supple tannin and a fleshy, juicy, very succulent and multi-layered mid-palate, this expansive, velvety wine has entered its plateau of maturity, where it should remain (assuming good storage) for at least another 10-15 years. A very delicious, seductive, and opulent Chateau Margaux to drink over the next two decades. Anticipated maturity: Now-2015. Last tasted, 10/02." (01/2003)

2003 Bellevue-Mondotte, St-Emilion (1.5L)
Bid on this 2-magnum lot of 2003 Bellevue-Mondotte, St-Emilion (1.5L) (94RP, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Even in a vintage such as 2003 there are wines that are youthful, unevolved and still in need of bottle age. The 2003 Bellevue Mondotte is one of those wines. From a tiny (5 acres) estate owned by Gerard Perse, this blend of 90% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon exhibits youthful aromas of blue and black fruits, chalk dust, lead pencil shavings and Christmas fruitcake. Full, ripe and moderately tannic, it requires another 3-5 years of bottle age and could turn out to be one of the longest-lived wines of the vintage, lasting another 25-30 years. (RP)" (08/2014)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Gravel, melon, and minerals are found in the nose of the spicy 2001 Chassagne-Montrachet Les Caillerets. This fleshy, deep, intricate effort is loaded with spiced minerals, crisp apples, pears, and ginger. It is highly-detailed, light to medium-bodied, and has an impressively long finish. 2009 Dunn Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L)
Bid on this mangum lot of 2009 Dunn Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (96RP, 93CG, 93ST, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Howell Mountain has more energy and focus than the Napa Valley bottling. Iron, graphite, red fruits, dried flowers are some of the many notes that take shape in this deep, complex, powerful wine. I imagine the 2009 will still be spectacular at age 30. For now, it needs at least another handful of years of cellaring to drink well. Huge veins of minerality support the huge fruit, giving the wine much of its pure tension and vitality. This is going to be a fascinating wine to follow over the coming decades. (AG)" (12/2012)

Dark blue and black fruit, violets and licorice are some of the many nuances that emerge over time as the wine becomes more delicate and feminine with air. This is another 2009 endowed with considerable freshness and verve. Anticipated maturity: 2019-2029. (AG)" (04/2012)

Of the 2013 Next of Kyn (Sine Qua Non) "Cumulus Vineyard No. 7" Central Coast Syrah, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "Possessing an uncommon purity and freshness, the 2013 Cumulus Vineyard #7 is 45% Syrah, 29% Grenache, 15% Petite Sirah and the rest Mourvedre, Touriga Nacionale and Roussanne. It has a perfumed, floral character as well as killer notes of cassis, exotic spice and violets, full-bodied density and depth, and building, polished tannin that emerge on the finish. It’s as seamless and pure as they come, and while I’m sure I’d crack a bottle the night I received it, it will benefit from short term cellaring. (JD)" (08/2016)

Borderline perfection, it has straight up awesome notes of black and blue fruits, pepper, crushed violets and searing chalky minerality that shows on both the nose and palate. Of the 2007 Silver Oak Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon,Vinous writes: "Bright dark ruby. Very ripe aromas and flavors of dark berries, cocoa powder and bitter chocolate. Fine-grained and light on its feet, with the exotic oak character typical of Silver Oak nicely supported by its intense fruit. Harmonious acidity and a slightly herbal quality contribute to the suavity of this wine. Expands nicely on the back half, with the fine-grained tannins coating the palate. Bid on this magnum lot of 2001 Arrowood Cabernet Sauvignon "Réserve Spéciale" Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (95RP, (90-91ST)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of the most underrated Cabernet Sauvignons made in the world is Arrowood’s 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve Speciale. Made from an assortment of vineyards in Sonoma, Alexander Valley and Dry Creek, this 100% Cabernet Sauvignon was aged for 23 months in primarily French oak. Its youthful dense purple color is followed by notes of truffles, spring flowers, new saddle leather, creme de cassis, cedar and spice box. Fabulously full-bodied, pure and multidimensional, but still youthful, it is not as backward as the Monte Rosso, and should hit its peak in another 2-4 years and age effortlessly over the following 20-25 years. While it still possesses some firmness, and performs like a late adolescent in terms of its evolution, it boasts gorgeous aromas of cedar, tobacco leaf, cassis, and lead pencil shavings. The explosive aromas are followed by a fleshy, full-bodied wine that should hit its peak in 5-8 years, and last for 25-30 more. (RP)" (06/2009)

2011 Saxum "Booker Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhone Blend (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum lot of 2011 Saxum "Booker Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhone Blend (1.5L) (96RP, 94ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Beautifully done, and probably the most elegant, seamless version of this cuvee I’ve tasted, the 2011 Booker Vineyard offers terrific aromas and flavors of liquid violets, sappy underbrush, smoked , exotic spices and plenty of crushed rock-like minerality that are all carried by layers of sweet cassis and black raspberry. There’s a northern Rhone-like character here, but it hits the palate with full-bodied richness, fantastic mid-palate concentration, and a seamless, layered and multi-dimensional mouthfeel that’s hard to resist. Made from 67% Syrah and 33% Mourvedre and aged in 300- and 350-liter hogsheads (and fermented with varying degrees of whole cluster), this beautifully pure, polished and complex effort will benefit from short-term cellaring and have over 15 years of overall longevity. 1999 Colin Deleger Chassagne Montrachet En Remilly (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum lot of 1999 Colin Deleger Chassagne Montrachet En Remilly (1.5L) (91BH, 90ST). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "While most examples of En Remilly offer good detail and minerality, few offer the power and intensity of this '99. Quite tight and closed with almost painfully intense flavors and a powerful acid backbone; the entire package is like drinking liquid rocks. This is so reserved today that it's frankly difficult to evaluate and my rating could well prove to be conservative. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Old Sparky, Fred Schrader's favorite selection, is clone 4 from the To Kalon Vineyard aged in 100% new Darnajou and seems closest in personality and overall style to the CCS. This is a beautiful wine with great intensity and seems to be one of the superstars of this vintage. Smoky barbecue notes intermix with charcoal embers, blackberry, cassis, Christmas fruitcake, licorice and camphor. Full-bodied with velvety tannins that have resolved themselves beautifully over the last eleven years, this wine is still an adolescent, but it exhibits admirable purity, texture, mouthfeel and power combined with elegance. This offering is just as strong as the 2007, but slightly more forward and irresistible than the backward 2007. It boasts a dense inky/purple color as well as an extraordinary nose of blackberry liqueur intermixed with cocoa, forest floor, graphite and subtle hints of smoke as well as camphor. Bid on this magnum lot of 2014 Saxum "Booker Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (1.5L) ((97-99RP)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Leading off the wines from barrel, the 2014 Booker Vineyard is inky colored and downright unctuous, with tons of fruit, chalky minerality, full-bodied richness and no shortage of structure. One of the superstars in California is undoubtedly the humble, soft spoken, yet incredibly talented Justin Smith, who has had the reins at Saxum since 2000. And while a lot of winemakers would have been content to stick with the tried and true at this point, Smith continues to question, experiment and fine tune everything he does. Today, his wines are much more finesse oriented, pure and graceful than in the past, without sacrificing texture, concentration or richness. 1992 Spottswoode Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum lot of 1992 Spottswoode Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (99RP, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The year 1992 was the second most abundant year for Spottswoode, producing 5,713 cases, with the final blend 6% Cabernet Franc and the rest Cabernet Sauvignon. This was a classic Napa vintage with abundant fruit and high yields. Spottswoode made a magnificent example. With a dark ruby/purple/garnet-colored wine to the rim, this wine is stunningly rich, with floral-infused blackcurrant and blackberry fruit, a hint of chocolate and toast. Terrific aromatics are followed by an equally impressive full-bodied wine, with stunningly sweet, velvety tannins, enormous fruit and stature, and a long, long finish. Bid on this magnum of 2004 Pride Mountain "Reserve" Sonoma/Napa Counties Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (96RP, 95WE, 94CG, 94ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The two flagship wines of this brilliant estate, which straddles the Sonoma and Napa county lines at the top of Spring Mountain, include the 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve (98% Cabernet Sauvignon and 2% Petit Verdot). Sixty-eight percent of the fruit comes from Sonoma and 32% from Napa. It exhibits classic notes of creme de cassis, licorice, cedarwood, incense and a hint of toasty oak in the background. Full-bodied, opulent, profound deep, rich and full with velvety edges, the tannin can be detected, but it is wonderfully integrated in this mountain-styled Cabernet. It continues Pride’s impressive track record with these special cuvees. The 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve can be drunk young or cellared for two decades or more. Bottled after 30 months in barrel (with one racking after 26 months), it's an incredible Syrah that has a masculine, yet lively, fresh, and incredibly pure feel in its caramelized black fruits, licorice, scorched earth and distinct minerality. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "This surprisingly rich, dark garnet-colored Insignia displays notes of cedarwood, tobacco leaf, black currants, graphite and damp earth. Medium to full-bodied with remarkable density, richness and vigor for its age, one would think that with this much Merlot in the blend it would be near the end of its life, but that's not the case. It appears to have reached its plateau of full maturity, but it should drink well for another decade or more. Another strong performance by an Insignia from the mid-eighties, this 4,000-case blend follows nearly the same formula as the 1984 and 1985 (23% from estate fruit and the rest from growers). The final blend was 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc. (RP)" (11/2013)

1994 Spottswoode Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum lot of 1994 Spottswoode Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (99RP, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "1994 produced 4,863 cases from a blend of 94% Cabernet Sauvignon and 6% Cabernet Franc. This is one of the great vintages of the 90s, and Spottswoode hit the bull’s-eye with this opaque, ruby/purple-colored wine that still has incredible youthfulness and vibrancy. Fabulous fruit intensity, blackcurrants, black cherries and blackberry, along with charcoal, chocolate and graphite, are all present in this superb, full-bodied, stunningly multidimensional wine that is only now approaching mid-adolescence at age 22. This wine has at least 25-30 more years of life left in it. It is a great one." (08/2016)

2011 Kistler "Kistler Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum of 2011 Kistler "Kistler Vineyard" Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir (1.5L) (94RP, 94VN, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2011 Pinot Noir Kistler Vineyard (made primarily from the Calera clone), which sees one-third new oak and is 100% destemmed, possesses lots of raspberry and black cherry fruit intermixed with hints of underbrush and forest floor, and a nice meatiness to its texture. There has been a progressive trend by Kistler’s winemaking team and owners to harvest at slightly lower sugars, back off slightly on the percentage of new oak used, and bottle their wines earlier. All of this is designed to preserve as much fruit and freshness in the wines as possible. (RP)" (12/2013)

Bid on this magnum of 2011 Hanzell "1953 Ambassador's Vineyard" Sonoma Valley Chardonnay (1.5L) (OWC - 95RP) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Only available in magnum, the 2011 Chardonnay Ambassador’s 1953 Vineyard is an homage to Ambassador Zellerbach, and the fruit for this cuvee comes from the original two acres of Chardonnay first planted by him in 1953. Once known as the Old Wente clone, but propagated as the Hanzell clone (as it’s grafted on St. George rootstock), this rare Chardonnay is a treat to taste. It offers a liqueur of wet rocks intermixed with citrus oil in a stylish, restrained, but authoritative style. Intense but elegant, this beauty is unlike any other California Chardonnay, and that’s what makes it so singular as well as special. How long it will live is debatable, but even in a challenging vintage such as 2011, it has twenty or more years of life ahead of it. (RP)" (12/2013)

There is excellent delineation to the ultra-pure and solidly energetic medium-bodied flavors that possess impressive finishing depth and length. I especially like the balance and this culminates with just a mild touch of austerity." (01/2012)

There is an ultra-sophisticated mouth feel to the intensely mineral-driven melt-in-your-mouth broad-shouldered flavors that possess excellent detail and power on the focused, intense, serious and very serious finish. Bid on this magnum of 2006 Alban "Reva" Edna Valley Syrah (1.5L) (100RP, 97WS, 94ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2006 Syrah Reva, coming from parcels of dark, volcanic soil, has off-the-chart richness and intensity. This thick, opaque-purple colored wine offers up notes of scorched earth, ground pepper, and blackberry liqueur intermixed with cassis, licorice, camphor, and tar. The wine is spectacular in every sense. Full-bodied and certainly not for wimps, this is a remarkably concentrated yet very nuanced and intense wine that should age for 20 more years. Bid on this magnum of 2007 Clos des Papes Châteauneuf-du-Pape (1.5L) (100RP, 97WS, 95ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of the great vintages from this estate, surpassing even the 1990, 2000, 2001, 2003, and maybe the 2010 (time will tell with this one), the 2007 Chateauneuf du Pape from Vincent Avril delivers everything you could want from a wine. Full-bodied, intense and beautifully concentrated, with plenty of muscle and depth, it shows the hallmark elegance and purity of the estate, with sensational notes of kirsch liqueur, raspberries, incense, smoked meats and Asian spices. The blend is the normal 65% Grenache, 20% Mourvedre, 10% Syrah and the rest a mix of permitted varieties, brought up all in older foudre, and it's just now entering its prime drink window and has another two decades of longevity. Bid on this magnum of 2006 Tenuta dell'Ornellaia "Ornellaia" Bolgheri Superiore (1.5L) (97JS, 97RP, 97WE, 95WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2006 Ornellaia (magnum) is a massive, towering masterpiece. There is awesome depth and richness to be found in the glass. Flowers, minerals, tar smoke and dark fruit are all woven in an intricate fabric of almost indescribable elegance and power. Tonight the 2006 Ornellaia is absolutely moving in its beauty and expressiveness. Vintage 2006 will go down as one of the all-time greats in Tuscany, and Bolgheri in particular, as all of that region’s benchmark wines are spectacular. The 2006 shows the intensity of the small berries that were harvested that year, with exceptional concentration, acidity and freshness, qualities that are precious and exceedingly rare when they are found in a single wine. In 2006 the final blend is 56% Cabernet Sauvignon, 27% Merlot, 12% Cabernet Franc and 5% Petit Verdot. Simply put, the 2006 Ornellaia is a must-ha

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Although tight and unyielding, this wine offers a healthy dark ruby/purple color, as well as subtle herbs and cassis in the bouquet. This powerful, muscular Cabernet has impressive body, weight, and fruit extraction, but the tannin is hard. It appears to have gone into a shell and is in need of 3-5 years of cellaring. Bid on this mangum lot of 2007 Domaine de la Mordorée "Reine des Bois" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (1.5L) (97RP, (93-96ST), 96WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Evolving beautifully, the 2007 Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee de La Reine des Bois has shed some of its crazy tannin and is showing a more layered, voluptuous profile. Possessing beautiful kirsch, blackberry, candied licorice, flowers and lavender, it offers knockout richness and decadence to go with brilliant purity of fruit, superb concentration, and a full-bodied, layered mouthfeel. Vinous: "The 2006 Chianti Classico Riserva Vigna del Sorbo shows the pedigree of the vintage, one of the very best of the last 25 years. Blackberry jam, cloves, menthol, licorice and graphite explode from the glass in a wine that comes across as a combination of 2008 and 2010. Sounds pretty good to me. All the elements are beautifully integrated in the glass. A stunning Vigna del Sorbo, the 2006 will drink well to age 25-30, perhaps beyond. Today, though, it is an infant, so further cellaring is advisable. (AG) 96+" (02/2014)

More open aromatically than on the palate, it reveals medium to full body, and an elegant, finesse-styled personality. Togni’s wines always have a Bordeaux-like structure.
