2004 Bond "St. Eden" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum lot of 2004 Bond "St. Eden" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (1.5L) (98RP, 96WE, 93VN, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon St. Eden, which comes from a valley floor vineyard in Oakville, is another dead ringer for a great Pauillac, possibly a young Mouton. Dense bluish/purple in color with stunning notes of cedarwood, unsmoked high-quality cigar tobacco, creme de cassis and espresso roast, this wine has fabulous fruit, density and a full-bodied, youthful mouthfeel, wonderful balance and purity, and a terrific finish that goes on for close to a minute. This is also relatively open, but slightly more structured than the Melbury. There’s no sense deferring gratification, so I would suggest drinking it over the next 15-20 years, possibly longer. Bid on this magnum lot of 2010 Schrader "Old Sparky" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (1.5L) (OWC - 98RP, 98VN) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard Old Sparky, made from clone 4, 6 and 337, displays a dense opaque purple color as well as an incredible nose of graphite, cedarwood, incense, licorice, Christmas fruitcake, vanillin and abundant blackberry and black currant liqueur. Gorgeously rich and textured with a nearly endless finish, this super intense, full throttle wine needs 5-7 years of bottle age and should drink well over the following 25-30 years. 2007 Saxum "Bone Rock - James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum lot of 2007 Saxum "Bone Rock - James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (1.5L) (99RP, 98WS, 96VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2007 Bone Rock, which comes from the James Berry Vineyard (82% Syrah, 13% Mourvedre, and the rest Grenache, also aged 28 months in a combination of smaller barrels, demi-muids, and pungeons), is super as well. Like its late-released sibling, it has an inky/purple color to the rim and an extraordinary, soaring set of aromatics consisting of spring flowers, pepper, graphite, blackberry and blueberry fruit with hints of raspberry and licorice and jus de viande as well. The extraordinary freshness and elegance of this wine leads to a minerality that even eclipses the Heart Stone. The finish goes on for a good 45+ seconds, and the purity is awesome. This extraordinary wine completes the 2007 portfolio of unbelievable efforts from the Smiths. (RP)" (08/2010)

Offers pure fruit, with crushed raspberry, blackberry and dried flowers on the nose. Full-bodied, with supersilky tannins that touch every inch of the palate. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard Old Sparky reveals lots of cassis, spring flower, graphite and spice characteristics along with good minerality. Medium to full-bodied and strikingly rich, it, too, is a great success for the vintage. It should drink well for 15 or more years. (RP)" (10/2013)

2004 Bond "Vecina" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum lot of 2004 Bond "Vecina" Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend (1.5L) (96RP, 94VN, 92WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon Vecina emerges from an 11-acre western Oakville hillside not far from the famed Harlan Estate. This wine, which I rated identically in 2008, has a huge nose of bouquet garni, roasted meats and is clearly the spiciest of all the Bond 2004s. It is full-bodied, viscous and thick, with some tannins still to resolve in the finish. Again, there’s no reason to defer gratification because of the incredibly complex aromas as well as flavors. Some new saddle leather also makes an appearance in this multidimensional, full and impressive wine ... (RP)" (04/2014)

Wine Enthusiast: "***Cellar Selection***From the cool east face of the vineyard, this is crisp and tight, less opulent than some Corton-Charlemagne. It makes up in its rich structure, weight and tropical fruit flavors that are sliced by acidity. There is some kerosene along with these exotic fruits, and the wine does need to age. Drink from 2018. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Syrah James Berry Vineyard Bone Rock is the star of the show in 2012. Borderline perfection, it has straight up awesome notes of black and blue fruits, pepper, crushed violets and searing chalky minerality that shows on both the nose and palate. Full-bodied, seamless and elegant, it's a stacked, concentrated, layered Syrah that never puts a foot wrong. Give it 2-4 years and enjoy bottles through 2032. (JD)" (08/2015)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2013 Gevrey-Chambertin Vieilles Vignes, the oldest vines planted back in 1929, has a crisp, slightly leafy bouquet with a light marine influence developing in the glass. The palate is very well balanced with fine tannins, crisp acidity and plenty of dark berry fruit toward the piquant finish. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Petite Sirah The Writing on the Wall should be the greatest Petite Sirah to ever come out of California (or the world?). Made from 94% Petite Sirah and 6% Viognier and aged in 80% old hogsheads and 20% in new French oak ... Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2008 La Tache amply illustrates why this monopole is the darling among most of those lucky enough to regularly taste or collect the wines of the Domaine de La Romanee-Conti. Hints of mocha, vanilla, maraschino, and almond paste lend a confectionary note to generously rich cassis and raspberry, while Latakia tobacco, peat, clove, black pepper, star anise, and cumin contribute commune-typical Vosne-Romanee personality in spades. The high-toned, sweet themes continue inner mouth, with intimation of heliotrope, rowan, and lily perfume, while the wine’s smoky, spicy elements seem to descend into a low-register undertone of roasted red meats and forest floor. Bid on this 1.5 liter 1-bottle lot of 2012 Cayuse "Wallah Wallah Special #4" Columbia Valley Syrah (1.5L) (OWC - 96RP, 95VN, 93WS) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Made by Christophe as a tribute to Cote Rotie and coming from a blend of estate vineyards, the 2012 Syrah Wallah Wallah #4 Special spent 22 months in older puncheons and neutral smaller barrels before being bottled only in Magnum, of which there’s only 2,500 to go around. Hitting 13.6% natural alcohol, its deep ruby, semi-opaque color is followed by fabulous notes of rose petals, incense, violets, leather and sweet raspberry. These flow seamlessly to a full-bodied, supple and elegant Syrah that has no hard edges, integrated acidity and thrilling purity of fruit. Showing more and more tannin with time in the glass, it needs to be forgotten for 4-5 years and will have an easy two decades or more of longevity. (JD)" (06/2015)

Bid on this magnum lot of 2009 Rhys "Horseshoe Vineyard" Santa Cruz Mountains Pinot Noir (1.5L) (94BH, 94RP, 94ST, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Pinot Noir Horseshoe Vineyard is the most virile wine in this lineup. Black cherries, mint, iron and crushed rocks come together in this dramatic, generous Pinot. The fleshiness of the fruit nearly covers the tannins, but they are lurking beneath the wine’s considerable fleshiness. Menthol, pine and a host of other dark, balsamic notes wrap around the insistent, powerful finish. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2024. (AG)" (08/2011)

2007 Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum lot of 2007 Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru (1.5L) (94BH, 93ST, 92RP). Allen Meadows - Burghound: "A barely perceptible touch of SO2 does not overtly mar the airy, ultra fresh and impressively refined nose of white flower, citrus, green apple and wet stone and it is this pungent minerality that is really on display with the intense, detailed and tight big-bodied and well-muscled flavors that positively brim with a distinct salinity that is more in keeping with a classic Chablis than a classic Corton-Charlemagne. Still, this is a brilliant effort by any measure and the finish is like a vinous bomb. In sum, this is a dramatic but balanced wine that should age well for many years to come. " (06/2009)

Bid on this 1.5 liter 1-bottle lot of 2013 Cayuse "Wallah Wallah Special #5" Walla Walla Valley Syrah (1.5L) (96RP, 93VN, 93WE). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "One of the most complete, layered and elegant 2013s from Cayuse is the 2013 Syrah Walla Walla Special #5, which is made from two separate parcels that remind Christophe of the northern Rhone’s Jamet brother’s Cote Rotie. He also keeps the price low as a thank you to his customers. Giving up classic cool climate notes of green olives, black cherries, scorched earth, ash and ripe herbs, this beauty hits the palate with full-bodied richness, no hard edges, incredibly fine tannin and a finish that just keeps going. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The inky blue/purple-colored 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Au Sommet is filled with blackberry, blueberry, graphite and floral notes. Composed of 97.3% Cabernet Sauvignon and 2.7% Petit Verdot, it reveals a pleasant underlying earthy/terroir component, but the fruit dominates and this medium to full-bodied 2010 is rich, textured, and impressively endowed. Ample, concentrated, and powerful, it coats the palate with waves of syrupy black cherries, blackberries, and strawberries. Bid on this magnum lot of 2010 Chimère (Sine Qua Non) Châteauneuf-du-Pape (1.5L) (OWC - 98RP, (93-95ST)) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Another amazing offering is the 2010 Chateauneuf du Pape Chimere, a blend of 93% Mourvedre, 5% Grenache and the rest white varietals. Packaged in a distinctive Italian glass bottle, this inky/purple-colored 2010 exhibits notes of blueberries, charcoal, roasted herbs and scorched earth. The complex aromas are followed by a full-bodied, super intense, young, unevolved wine that was bottled April 26, 2012, but still resembles a barrel sample. As the wine sits in the glass, aromas of blueberries, licorice and graphite emerge. While the tannins are sweet, they are abundant. This remarkable effort came from one 300-liter foudre. Forget it for 4-5 years and drink it over the following 3 decades. By the way, it is about 16% natural alcohol so it is actually less powerful than the 2011.
