2007 Domaine du Vieux Télégraphe "La Crau" Châteauneuf-du-Pape
Bid on this 5-bottle lot of 2007 Domaine du Vieux Télégraphe "La Crau" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (96RP, 95JD, 95WS, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2007 Vieux Telegraphe may be the greatest wine made at this property since the 2005 and 1998. Dense ruby/purple-tinged with an exquisite nose of salty sea breezes, licorice, ground pepper, jammy black cherries, black currants, figs, and plums, this is a full-bodied, rich, Provencal-styled offering with lots of sweet, ripe tannin. It is surprisingly accessible for a Vieux Telegraphe (this wine normally shuts down several years after bottling), but it should have great longevity (25+ years) given its power, full-bodied mouthfeel, and enormous length and richness. This is a brilliant effort from brothers Frederic and Daniel Brunier. (RP) 96+" (10/2009)

2010 Domaine de la Vieille Julienne "Reserve" Châteauneuf-du-Pape
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2010 Domaine de la Vieille Julienne "Reserve" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (100JD, 99RP, 96VN). Jeb Dunnuck: "Possibly the wine of the vintage and a mind blowing Châteauneuf-du-Pape, the 2010 Domaine de la Vieille Julienne Châteauneuf-du-Pape Reserve is off the charts and delivers a vivid, complex, and detailed bouquet of sappy flowers, violets, licorice, black currants, and smoked earth-like qualities on the nose. Full-bodied and perfectly put together on the palate, this powerful, elegant Châteauneuf-du-Pape has incredible richness and depth, yet stays light, ethereal, and weightless in the mouth. Up there with some of the greatest young wines I have ever tasted, it needs 5-7 years of bottle age and will evolve beautifully for over two decades." (09/2012)

2013 Saxum "James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum of 2013 Saxum "James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (1.5L) (97RP, 96VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2013 James Berry Vineyard Proprietary Red is made from 45% Grenache, 29% Mourvedre, 18% Syrah and 8% Counoise (which Justin commented was a blend that was put together relatively late). It saw a big chunk of whole cluster (the Grenache was mostly destemmed though) and was brought up all in puncheons and foudre (the normal concrete component went to the Rocket Block). It offers up gorgeous notes of black raspberries, cherries, cassis, ground herbs and flowers. This beauty hits the palate with incredible purity, fine tannin and an overriding sense of elegance and finesse, backed up by full-bodied richness and depth. It needs to be forgotten for 3-4 years and it will drink beautifully through 2028. (JD)" (08/2016)

2009 M. Chapoutier "Le Méal" Ermitage Rouge
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2009 M. Chapoutier "Le Méal" Ermitage Rouge ((98-100RP), 94ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Ermitage Le Meal’s black/purple color is accompanied by notes of forest floor, bouquet garni, creme de cassis, beef blood and ink as well as a layered, opulent, full-bodied, massive mouthfeel. Extravagantly rich, it will be reasonably drinkable in 5-7 years; it is built for 50+ years of cellaring. All three of these wines have skyscraper-like textures and amazing purity, richness and depth. It is hard to believe any other producer could eclipse what this trilogy represents in quality, longevity and winemaking statesmanship. One has to admire Michel Chapoutier for producing wines that are not meant for immediate gratification or for turning the heads of consumers right out of the bottle. These wines are meant to help establish his legacy long after most of us have disappeared. (RP)" (02/2011)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Tablas Creek "Esprit de Beaucastel Panoplie" Paso Robles Rhône Blend ((94-96JD), 95RP, 94ST). Jeb Dunnuck: "More rich and full, with additional roasted herb, licorice, and meaty aromas, the 2010 Tablas Creek Esprit de Beaucastel Panoplie is a big, dense 2010 that has loads of fruit, yet still shows the vintage with a cool purity of fruit, integrated acidity, and firm tannin that frames the finish. A blend of 60% Mourvèdre, 30% Grenache, 10% Syrah that’s aged all in foudre, this full-bodied, powerful effort will require even more bottle time than the Esprit de Beaucastel, yet will have two decades or more of longevity. Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1998 Domaine du Caillou "Réserve Cuvee Unique" Châteauneuf-du-Pape Vieilles Vignes (90ST). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Bright ruby-red. Roasted red fruits and milk chocolate on the nose. Lush and dense in the mouth, with leather, coffee, dark chocolate and garrigue flavors, a lightly animal syrah character, and a strong oak component. Finishes fat and lush, with strong roasted wood tones. Quite Languedoc in style. (ST)" (01/2001)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2007 Cotes du Roussillon Visitare Interiore Terrae is utterly compelling. Made from the same blend, the greatness of this vintage is confirmed in this beautiful 2007. It boasts a saturated ruby/purple color as well as an extraordinary bouquet of smoked duck, roasted Provencal herbs, black cherry liqueur, cassis, licorice, and truffle. Incredible density, a voluptuous texture, and remarkable concentration mark this fresh, lively, mouthfilling wine that should age effortlessly for 20-25 years. (RP)" (02/2009)

Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2009 Tablas Creek "Esprit de Beaucastel" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (94JD, 94RP, 93JS, 93ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "I am thrilled to see the 2009 Esprit de Beaucastel burst from the glass with an exciting melange of dark red cherries, flowers, sweet herbs, mint and spices. Exotic spiced notes linger on the finish. The 2009 boasts serious intensity, richness and depth, but it remains quite tannic and in need of further bottle age. The vintage saw both frost and drought, two conditions that are a little unusual in the same year. Now that it is in bottle, the 2009 meets all of the expectations I had when I tasted it from barrel last year. The blend is 40% Mourvedre, 28% Syrah, 27% Grenache and 5% Counoise. Of the 2012 Gramercy Cellars "John Lewis" Walla Walla Syrah ,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The 2012 Syrah John Lewis comes from the Les Collines Vineyard in Walla Walla and is 100% Syrah that saw 80% whole clusters and 18 months in mostly neutral French oak puncheons. Tight, backward and nicely structured, with bright acidity, it has layered aromatics of black fruits, black olives, cracked pepper, dried violets and tobacco leaf. This is a sensational Syrah that

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Looking at the 2010s and a brilliant vintage for Laurence, the 2010 Chateauneuf du Pape offers up classic Pegau aromas and flavors of ripe dark fruits, garrigue, cured meats, tobacco leaf, saddle leather and hints of game. Full-bodied and beautifully concentrated, it offers a seamless, layered profile on the palate with thrilling mid-palate depth, sweet, yet substantial tannin, and a blockbuster finish that stays fresh and beautifully focused. Quite polished by this estates standards, it nevertheless screams southern France and I doubt it’s possible to have too much of this beauty in the cellar. Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2012 Clos des Papes Châteauneuf-du-Pape (97WS, 96RP, 94VN). Wine Spectator: "A stunner, with a gorgeous cassis aroma that soars from the glass, reinforced by a core of cassis, cherry and plum pâte de fruit, hoisin sauce, warm ganache and well-roasted apple wood notes. Hefty, but suave and seamless. The finish lets graphite and licorice elements glide through. The structure is dense, polished and perfectly integrated, resulting in lovely length. The aromas are dense and pure with stunning cassis and dark fruit intermixed with licorice, meat and leather notes. Bid on this magnum of 1989 Château de Beaucastel "Hommage à Jacques Perrin" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (1.5L) (OWC - 100RP) in original wood. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The less evolved 1989 boasts an even inkier purple color than the 1990. The most massive, biggest, concentrated, and structured of any of the Jacques Perrins, but it is still 5-10 years away from full maturity. It has great intensity and is extraordinary to taste, but it is not a lot of fun to drink ... if you know what I mean. In any event, this is a potentially perfect wine. The only question is, when will it hit its plateau of maturity? My guess is around 2010." (01/2003)

2011 Saxum "Booker Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend
Bid on this bottle of 2011 Saxum "Booker Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (96RP, 94ST, 94VN). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Beautifully done, and probably the most elegant, seamless version of this cuvee I’ve tasted, the 2011 Booker Vineyard offers terrific aromas and flavors of liquid violets, sappy underbrush, smoked, exotic spices and plenty of crushed rock-like minerality that are all carried by layers of sweet cassis and black raspberry. There’s a northern Rhone-like character here, but it hits the palate with full-bodied richness, fantastic mid-palate concentration, and a seamless, layered and multi-dimensional mouthfeel that’s hard to resist. Made from 67% Syrah and 33% Mourvedre and aged in 300- and 350-liter hogsheads (and fermented with varying degrees of whole cluster), this beautifully pure, polished and complex effort will benefit from short-term cellaring and have over 15 years of overall longevity. Vinous: "A big, explosive wine, the 2012 Esprit de Tablas is warm and ample on the palate, very much in the style of the year, yet there is plenty of power lying in reserve. In 2012, Syrah plays a larger role than in both the 2010 and 2011, which is felt in the wine broad, expansive personality. This is going to be a fascinating Esprit to follow over the coming years. The sip starts with a dusty character, and then lovely flavors of light purple fruit, lavender powder and intriguing florality ensue. It drinks great now, but will age marvelously. Today it comes across as rather tightly wound and implosive, although with air the wine’s potential becomes more evident. Dark cherries, licorice and smoke wrap around the intense finish. Floral notes add the final layers of complexity and nuance. This is another fabulous effort. In 2009 the blend is 60% Syrah, 20% Mourvedre, 12% Petite Sirah and 8% Grenache. Incorporating more Mourvedre than normal, it’s made from 43% Grenache, 29% Mourvedre, 18% Syrah and 10% Counoise that’s aged in a combination of concrete and barrel. Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2006 Cuvée du Vatican "Réserve Sixtine" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (93WS, 92RP, 90ST). Wine Spectator: "This is dark and reticent for now, but also pure and loaded with a big core of plum and blackberry fruit, mocha, graphite, licorice and fig cake notes. The long, velvety finish just sails along, with latent grip in reserve. Best from 2009 through 2028. (JM)" (11/2008)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Château de Beaucastel Châteauneuf-du-Pape (96WE, 96WS, 95RP, 94ST). Wine Spectator: "Dark, dense and very closed now, this has a tremendous core of crushed plum, linzer torte and blackberry confiture waiting in reserve. Ample singed cedar and mesquite, warm paving stone and black tea notes lurk in the background and glide through the finish. Features serious grip, but wonderful integration. Should cruise in the cellar. Best from 2016 through 2035. (JM)" (08/2013)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Domaine du Vieux Télégraphe "La Crau" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (97RP, 96DC, 96JD, 96WS, 94ST, 94W&S). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Performing considerably better than it did prior to bottling, the 2010 Vieux Télégraphe Châteauneuf-du-Pape is one of the all-time great Vieux Télégraphes I have tasted in the last 3+ decades. I believe it is even superior to the 2007, which I had several weeks ago. The 2010 boasts a dense purple color along with a sumptuous bouquet of spring flowers, boysenberries, black cherries, black currants, nori (the sushi seaweed wrapper), black olives, licorice and pepper. This full-bodied, meaty, thick, juicy effort possesses a boatload of tannin, but it also has incredible concentration. More massive than I remember from last year, it has put on considerable weight and intensity. Forget it for 3-4 years, and drink it over the following 25-30 years. Kudos to Daniel and Frederic Brunier! The Brunier family continues to turn out a beau

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 1998 Domaine du Pégaü "Cuvée Reservée" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (96WS, 95RP, 92ST). Wine Spectator: "One of the riper, more exotic wines of the vintage, this gushes with black currant, fig and blackberry fruit, all of which has melded together and is starting to show a corrupt edge, while the sweet bacon, spice, mesquite and clove-studded blood orange notes fill out the background. The long, very juicy finish is multilayered and supported by fresh acidity. Drink now through 2027. (JM)" (09/2007)

1997 Domaine Jean-Louis Chave Hermitage
Bid on this bottle of 1997 Domaine Jean-Louis Chave Hermitage (95ST, 94RP, 93WS). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "The “Bollito not boiled” is one of Bottura’s classic dishes (seven different cuts of beef slowly cooked—for 36 hours—at a lower-than-usual temperature), while the “Beautiful, psychedelic…” veal creation is a far more modern Pollock-esque take on meat, but both match splendidly with Chave’s heavenly 1997 Hermitage Rouge. I’m not much for extremely rich, almost fat reds (and ’97 pushed the envelope) but this wine has aged magnificently and comes across as plush yet graceful, a neat trick. Stylishly supple and glyceral, it overpowers neither the veal nor the bollito. (ID)" (12/2014)

Of the 2013 Alban "Pandora" Edna Valley Rhône Blend,Jeb Dunnuck writes: "Similar to the classic Grenache, yet with even more polish and finesse on the palate, the 2013 Pandora is another monumental effort. Lavender, cassis, black cherry liqueur, flowers and toasted spice emerge from this huge, ethereally textured, sensationally rich Grenache that's every bit as good as the perfect 2012. It needs 2-3 years of cellaring to show at its best, and will have 20 years of overall longevity." (08/2017)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2012 Saxum "Heart Stone Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (96RP, (92-94VN), 92ST, 91WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2012 Heart Stone Vineyard is 43% Syrah, 41% Grenache and 16% Mourvedre that was aged mostly in concrete (the ’11 was aged 100% in concrete) yet also saw some new and neutral puncheons. Fermented with 40% whole clusters, it’s a big, burly effort that has beautiful creme de cassis, black raspberry, crushed violets, vanilla bean and exotic flower-like qualities all emerging from the glass. It too has a structured feel, with high, yet ripe tannin, so short-term cellaring is also advised here. (JD)" (08/2014)

2010 Rôtie Cellars "Southern Blend" Washington Rhône Blend
Bid on this 4-bottle lot of 2010 Rôtie Cellars "Southern Blend" Washington Rhône Blend (92RP, 91ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Coming from the sandy soils of the southern slopes of Horse Heaven Hills, the 2010 Southern Blend is a blend of 75% Grenache, 15% Syrah and 10% Mourvedre aged in used French oak barrels. Deep ruby in color and almost opaque, it displays superb Grenache flair with loads of kirsch, licorice, white and black pepper, exotic spices and floral qualities that give way to a medium-bodied, fresh, focused palate. Very lively, energetic and elegant, with integrated acidity, solid concentration and ripe tannin, this knockout southern Rhone blend can be enjoyed now, or cellared for 5-7 years. 2010 Rotie Cellars "Homage" Washington Rhône Blend
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2010 Rotie Cellars "Homage" Washington Rhône Blend (95RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The ripest of the lot is the 2010 Homage. A blend of 70% Mourvedre, 20% Cinsault and 10% Grenache, it displays a bright, lifted array of bramble-laced black and blue fruits, leather, sappy underbrush, peppered meats and licorice on the nose. Up-front and gorgeously fruited on the palate, it has loads of texture, yet manages to stay fresh and elegant, with juicy acidity, very fine, silky tannin and a brilliant finish that certainly doesn’t lack for length. This needs a long decant if drinking anytime soon and should have 15-20 years or more of longevity. (JD) 95+" (06/2013)

1990 Auguste Clape Cornas
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1990 Auguste Clape Cornas (91RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Clape's 1990 Cornas is outstanding. The color is an opaque black/purple, and the nose offers up rich, ripe aromas of black fruits, licorice, and spices. Superconcentrated, with a full-bodied, highly extracted, mouth-filling taste, this example of Cornas possesses moderate tannin, adequate acidity, and a smashingly long finish. It is also relatively refined for a Cornas, displaying no signs of the rustic tannin or funky, earthy smells many Cornas can possess. (RP)" (01/1997)

Bid on this magnum of 2013 Next of Kyn (Sine Qua Non) "Cumulus Vineyard No. 7" Central Coast Red Blend (1.5L) (99JD, 99VN, 97RP). Vinous: "The 2013 Next of Kyn - No. 7 Cumulus Vineyard is a real stunner. Rich, explosive and overwhelmingly beautiful, it takes hold of all the senses and never lets go. Even with all of its power and richness, the 2013 retains striking aromatic lift and energy. I would give it another few years to settle down, but it is superb today. This is an extraordinary wine by any measure. Don't miss it. In 2013, the blend is 45% Syrah, 29% Grenache, 15% Petite Sirah, 5% Mourvèdre, 4.5% Touriga Nacional and 1.5% Roussanne, done with 58% whole clusters and aged for 30 months in French oak. 2011 Saxum "Broken Stones" Paso Robles Rhône Blend
Bid on this bottle of 2011 Saxum "Broken Stones" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (96RP, 95VN, 94ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The brilliant 2011 Syrah Broken Stones comes from a cooler block of the James Berry Vineyard and checks in as a blend of 78% Syrah, 18% Mourvedre and 4% Petit Sirah. Relatively forward (especially when compared to the locked up Bone Rock), with fabulous purity and freshness, it exudes notions of creme de cassis, blueberry, pepper, crushed flowers and sweet oak on the nose. Full-bodied, seamless and elegant, yet with building richness and rock star length, it’s an elegant version of the cuvee to drink over the coming 15 years or more. (JD)" (08/2014)

2015 Booker "Vertigo 22" Paso Robles Rhône Blend
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2015 Booker "Vertigo 22" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (98VN, 95RP). Vinous: "The 2015 Vertigo 22 is the same blend as the classic release (48% Syrah, 35% Grenache and 37% Mourvèdre), yet saw 22 months in barrel. As these extend barrel aging durations tend to do (assuming the raw material can handle it), this cuvée is deeper and richer, with more base notes of blackcurrants, espresso, vanilla bean and cured meats. Just heavenly on the palate, with full-bodied richness, a deep, layered texture, ripe tannin and blockbuster length, it says remarkable light and graceful, yet still packs one hell of a punch with its fruit and intensity. Count me more than a little impressed, and this is the finest version/vintage of this cuvée I’ve tasted. " (08/2017)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2006 Domaine de la Mordorée "Reine des Bois" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (95JD, 95RP, 94WE, 93VN, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Delorme’s 2006 Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee la Reine des Bois is up with the top eight to ten wines of the vintage. Made from 80% Grenache then smaller amounts of Mourvèdre, Vaccarèse, Syrah and Counoise—all from the famed la Crau lieu-dit—it reveals an inky ruby color as well as sexy, youthful notes of barbecue smoke, black currants, licorice, toasted spice and graphite. Reminiscent of the estate's terrific 2000 Cuvee de la Reine des Bois, this full-bodied, concentrated and layered beauty has plenty of tannin, terrific purity and a big finish. Bid on this bottle of 1988 Domaine du Vieux Télégraphe Châteauneuf-du-Pape (93JD, 93JG). Jeb Dunnuck: "The 1988 Vieux Télégraphe Châteauneuf-du-Pape (from magnum) was gorgeous and shows the ageability of the wines of this estate and its incredible terroir. Light ruby colored and youthful, with soaring and complex notes of ripe berry fruits, white pepper, flowers and Provençal herbs, it was weightless on the palate and still had a terrific core of sweet fruit. It’s certainly fully mature, but had plenty of life. I’ve had dead bottles of this in the States, so as always with older bottles, provenance is king." (02/2018)

Of the 2010 Domaine de la Janasse "Vieilles Vignes" Châteauneuf-du-Pape ,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "The 2010 Chateauneuf du Pape Vieilles Vignes, which achieved 16% natural alcohol, possesses an inky/purple color. It is slightly tighter and more restrained than the 2010 Chaupin, but it has enormous volume as well as incredible glycerin, richness and fat. A huge bouquet of pure blackberry and black currant fruit intermixed with charcoal, incense, truffles and spring flowers is followed by a prodigious, full-bodied wine that is capable of 20+ years of evolution.
