1998 Roger Sabon "Le Secret de Sabon" Châteauneuf-du-Pape
Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 1998 Roger Sabon "Le Secret de Sabon" Châteauneuf-du-Pape (100RP). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Shockingly good, the 1998 Chateauneuf du Pape le Secret du Sabon tastes like a hypothetical blend of the 2007 and the 2001. Powerful, massive, concentrated and beautifully ripe, it offers notions of kirsch, currants, peppered meats, Asian spice and licorice in its seamless, yet voluptuous and hedonistic personality. It's a crazy good bottle of wine that could be considered over-the-top by some, but who cares when it's this good? If I had bottles, I'd line them up for drinking as you don't want to miss this beauty while it's drinking at point. (JD)" (08/2014)

Medium-bodied, elegant and seamless, it's a delicious, certainly outstanding wine to drink over the coming 3-5 years. Put this in a blind tasting with top-notch Burgundies and shock your friends. 2013 Saxum "James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2013 Saxum "James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend ((98-100RP), (93-95VN)). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Called a classic JBV by Justin and possibly rivaling the sensational 2007, the 2013 James Berry Vineyard Proprietary Blend (45% Grenache, 29% Mourvèdre, 18% Syrah, 8% Counoise) sports a vibrant purple color to go with layered and decadent notes of violets, blueberries, blackberries, peppery herbs and crushed rock. Made in a more elegant, seamless style than the '07, it's nevertheless full-bodied, utterly seamless, silky and polished, with incredible purity and length on the finish. Pure class all the way, it will have 15-20 years of overall longevity. (JD)" (08/2015)

2007 Saxum "James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend
Bid on this bottle of 2007 Saxum "James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (100RP, 98WS, 97ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Utter perfection, and one of the most profound Rhone Ranger wines I have ever tasted... As with many prodigious wines, the extraordinary freshness, purity, equilibrium, and singularity of this effort is breathtaking. Its dense purple color is accompanied by an extraordinary, incredibly pure, all enveloping, intense, sweet nose of black raspberries, kirsch, spring flowers, spice box, and pepper. Full-bodied with not a hard edge to be found, it is stunningly concentrated with unreal purity, a voluptuous texture, and remarkable freshness for a wine of such power, depth, and concentration. Of the 2007 L'Aventure "Côte à Côte - Estate" Paso Robles Rhône Blend,Robert Parker's Wine Advocate writes: "Just as good, the 2007 Cote a Cote starts out tight and reserved, but blossoms with time in the glass, showing incredibly pure creme de cassis, black cherry, licorice and spice-driven aromas and flavors. These all flow to a full-bodied, deep, rich and layered profile on the palate that carries beautiful concentration, excellent overall purity and freshness, and a blockbuster finish. Still youthful and vibrant, with obvious structure, I think there’s some upside here, and when all is said and done, it will have upward of two decades or more of total longevity. 96+ (JD)" (07/2014)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2008 Epoch "Ingenuity" Paderewski Vineyard Paso Robles Rhone Blend (95WS, 93RP, 93VN). Wine Spectator: "Pure, dense, rich and concentrated, with wonderful structure, delivering layers of dark berry, blueberry and wild berry flavors, with notes of spice, mineral, cedar and black licorice. This firms on the finish, but still the flavors push through with a wonderful persistency. Syrah, Grenache, Petite Sirah and Mourvèdre. Drink now through 2020." (02/2011)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2005 Pax "Cuvée Moriah" Sonoma County Rhône Blend (92RP, 92ST). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2005 Cuvee Moriah (a blend of 75% Grenache, 14% Syrah, 10% Mourvedre, and 1% Roussanne) is deep ruby/purple with huge amounts of peppery black raspberry and kirsch notes, a touch of underbrush and fennel as well as a long, heady finish. This is sumptuous, puncheon-aged wine that is big on fruit, complexity, and deliciousness. (RP)" (12/2007)

Bid on this 2-bottle lot of 2004 Château de Beaucastel "Hommage a Jacques Perrin" Châteauneuf-du-Pape ((96-98ST), 96WS, 95RP). Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Saturated ruby. Remarkably deep nose combines cherry, raspberry, licorice, smoked meat and mineral notes, all lifted by an intense floral quality. A stunning example of freshness and precision married to power, with deep cassis, bitter cherry and candied licorice flavors enlivened by zesty minerality and framed by firm but harmonious tannins. 'This is not about extraction,' notes Perrin. The endless finish echoes the mineral and floral tones, showing a persistent lavender note. This was not yet bottled when I tasted it. (JR)" (02/2007)

2011 Saxum "James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (1.5L)
Bid on this magnum of 2011 Saxum "James Berry Vineyard" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (1.5L) (96RP, 96VN, 94ST, 93WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "96+ Reminding me of a top 2010 Chateauneuf du Pape (the 2010 Raymond Usseglio Cuvee Imperiale to be exact), the 2011 James Berry Vineyard is a blend of 69% Grenache, 13% Mourvedre, 13% Syrah, 2% Counoise, and a splash of Roussanne, that was aged in a combination of concrete (Grenache) and larger oak puncheons. A fresh, detailed and more elegant example of the cuvee, it offers gorgeous notes of ripe berry fruit, loads of exotic spice, violets, pepper and lavender to go with a full-bodied, beautifully pure and layered profile on the palate. It's no blockbuster, but has loads of energy and tension, as well as class and refinement. Give it 2-3 years in the cellar and enjoy it over the following decade or longer. (JD)" (08/2014)

2007 Linne Calodo "Nemesis" Paso Robles Rhône Blend
Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2007 Linne Calodo "Nemesis" Paso Robles Rhône Blend (95RP, 93ST, 92WS). Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Another of the last of the 2007s hitting the market includes the 2007 Nemesis (82% Syrah and the rest Mourvedre). It’s a powerhouse at 15.8% alcohol, aged almost completely in 350-liter hogsheads. The unusually high percentage of Syrah has given it an almost opaque purple color, with an extraordinary nose of black raspberries, graphite, acacias flowers, and crushed rock. Its sweet tannins, superb purity, full-bodied mouthfeel and long finish are stunning. It should last for 10-12 years. (RP)" (08/2010)
